EPISODE 2 OF CZECH IT OUT GOING INSANE TIME
youtube
LETS GO!!
Tumblr media
omfg i love these boys so much. anyway shadow here calls them "double Ms" and carzzy makes, probably an innuendo by telling him to get between his legs? marek then, in the intro, says stuff about double m two, and refers to them as "me and matyas" which first of all. he says matyas!! second of all, the says matyas? without the š?? could be english-izing.
carzzy then with the. and this is literally all i can think of when i hear/see it. beauty vlogger intro. "hello guys :)" but his eyes look completely dead i love it so much.
Tumblr media
then there's a cut because you know these bitches were just awkwardly staring into the camera for far too long.
NOW. HAIR SAGA. carzzy needs to check his hair with his phone (fucking girl) and humanoid just starts messing with his too like I GET IT GUYS. YOURE LITTLE PRINCESSES. humanoid and his movement actually like he thinks he's in a hair commercial. and then.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
needs to bump into carzzy because while carzzy is loud about being an attention whore and everyone knows it, humanoid is also one, just. more private about it or something (not really if i'm pointing it out here) probably planning something devious.... like calling carzzy hot.
NEXT. i always do a watch of these beforehand so i know what i'm getting into but honestly. always makes me gasp when humanoid leans over and just says "you're so fucking hot, oh my god" . like okay he can do that sure but normally that's a backing down type thing not a teehee i want attention from by bf. cannot overstate how much this means to me foaming at the mouth im normal guys im normal
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also nothing except humanoid has. arms. and carzzy says he's "lost it mentally" but i mean we all knew that already.
THIS FRAME. a) carzzy with the eyes b) the fact that he actually leans towards marek like he's going right baby? hmm? good midlaner!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also marek has the "backing down" face again cause his ryze got countered by the pantheon oh no :<<< he also does a little apologetic look down at back at carzzy like he's ashamed. this also makes carzzy laugh way too hard cause i mean, free insult for him xdd.
THEN. the synchronized stomped "to the floor" is AMAZING because they look so fucking proud like yes guys WE GOT IT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so far no "marek brazda"s :( also genuinely i need to state how much these guys are pretty much the same around each other. constant just blatant insults, intense neediness same fucking humor all of it. there is no like needy/patient angle to me. humanoid would call himself the patient one sure, but he is WRONG.
really good carzzy face here btw. what he looks like in my mind 24/7.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
+ bullying carzzy time! poor little sad baby can't hit an mf ult and it's call his fault until it isn't :( he goes on to go boo hoo actually it's reallt hard to hit an ult and it relies on MY team who were doing shit and ACTUALLY they were calling me a perfect player like yesterday so whose fault is it >:(
humanoid's face when carzzy claims that he'd called carzzy a perfect player
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here we also get one of the stupidest dom/sub moments because really i don't know what else to call it. carzzy says humanoid shouldn't talk cause he isn't allowed. and then as a little funny joke haha humanoid pitches his voice disgustingly high and says. fucking. "yes i agree master" i mean he regrets it immediately after but he still said. that.
THE THING I TALKED ABOUT LAST EP . where one of them just entirely backs down and goes actually youre the fucking best thing in the universe. and this time it's marek and he's cute and stuff about it and actually very thought through explanation of how carzzy carries the entire team 1v9 <3 i mean not that this is a standard, he goes right back to insulting carzzy's elise but the dynamic of it is so so good chomping on thoughts rn
Tumblr media Tumblr media
next segment is just humanoid making noises :)
carzzy goes on a rant about how he was sad and crying and depressed (but in a teehee way if that makes sense. in a :3 way.) and like any normal person humanoid GETS UP, has a weird scuffle and pulls carzzy's hood over his head. i mean you could argue carzzy initiated it but they're always on the verge of bodying each other. classic carzzynoid behavior love how they never explain shit youre just supposed to sit and stare like wtf
Tumblr media
FINALLY THE ENDING. YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW CZECH IT OUT TORTURES ME. BUT THE ENDING. IS EVEN MORE TORTUROUS.
THIS SHIT. i have no comment i feel like if i did it would be exactly this. silence. they do this shit in complete silence. (we also get a bit of a bi thing w carzzy and humanoid saying i love you which is a thing. they do. but im also so tired goodnight lol enjoyers.)
Tumblr media
VIDEO END.
final thoughts: ouwghdhwja. ahhhooaaaaaa. every time i watch one of these i go damn, they posted this? they went, hmm, this is good for out branding. 2 disasters trying to overcome their disaster-ly mess and come out on the other side exactly the same, just way more fucking annoying aboutit. what am i even saying anymore. also no marek brazda's :( too busy being gay ig

2024 Language Check-in
Today I was staring at my language bookshelf and realized I haven't intentionally studied anything in a long time! I mean, I study languages by myself for my own enrichment, not because I'm any good at them so... it happens. I want to organize this aimless meandering, but first a little recap of what I've studied and what I'd like to improve on.
Let's go 🥁
Spanish
From highschool to now I still can't speak it 😔 I think that's because I struggle to connect with it tbh. I mean it's a practical choice for me and all, but I haven't found something that I'm addicted to that's in Spanish. I have found some books that might be interesting, so... there's that? So just reading books 📚
If you're reading this and know of some cool things in Spanish, then please let me know! Honestly, I'd love to study and immerse in Spanish more. I'll try anything once as long as it isn't too expensive
Korean
My beloved 😍 One day I will speak it with some sort of coherence! Until then I will babble at my favs online lol. Korean is simply a beautiful language and figuring out how it works is fascinating to me.
Goal-wise I'd like to work through the Ewha textbooks that I have and maybe review that one grammar book? I also have a good selection of novels, and other books to immerse in. I do have that bad habit of doing things above my level until I'm too overwhelmed and then not doing anything else for awhile, so... I want to work on that. Have a back up plan of webtoons or something. Definitely the language I am currently enjoying the most
German
I used to study German alongside Korean, but I ended up losing touch with it. I bought a Deutsch als Fremdsprache book awhile ago for review and gap filling, so I'd like to work through that and maybe read one of the children's books I have.
Czech, French, Portuguese, and Swedish are languages that I have dabbled in, but never got too far with. For sure I'd love to learn Czech someday. As well as Japanese, Thai, and so many more. In fact I just ordered some beginner textbooks for Japanese, which started this whole thing. Now that I'm thinking of it, I have textbooks for French, Thai, and Vietnamese as well as the others I previously mentioned. So many languages, so little time!
If you know or are interested in the languages I mentioned here then please reach out. I'd love to talk about languages and language learning with others! I might start making weekly updates or something, idk. I guess we'll all see what I end up doing

Best Habsburg Monarch: Hungarian Edition Finally Commences
Are you still here with us? I deeply apologize for the delay, lads and ladies. Anyway, the titular tournament of this blog may be over, but we still aren't quite done yet. Consider this a little addendum to the Best Monarch Of Hungary (Before Mohács). Afterwards, I was thinking about doing a little Best Monarch Of Hungary, Period or Ultimate Monarch Of Hungary poll, where we would pit the winner of this tournament against I.Mátyás. Anyway, the rules are much the same as in the titular tournament, i.e.:
New rounds of the main poll on Sundays; again, there may or may not be bonus polls, posted whenever the admin gets an idea for one.
You know how it goes by now. One-on-one duels, bracket, 4 rounds. 16 contestant in Round 1, 8 in Round 2, 4 in Seminfinals and 2 in Finals.
This time, we are including Hungarian AND German AND Czech names (Slovaks will understand; we are, after all, in the period of Biblical Czech and czechoslovak togetherness). We apologize to any Croats, Romanians etc. out there, but representing everyone would make the naming system too unwieldy. We are still using primarily Hungarian language for the consistency, but we are aware that considering the period discussed, this is much more controversial than it was in the original.
These guys are probably going to be more well-known overall, but just in case, I am having a What Did They Do For Us section, taken from the Habsburg Encyclopedia, my notes, and if necessary, other sources (I may use Wikipedia here, sorry).
Again, we most ardently encourage propaganda and antipropaganda, as well as spreading the news of this bracket, with a single caveat: @best-habsburg-monarch DNI, sorry. Please, don't endorse or reblog this bracket - we'd like to give our electorate the chance to speak for themselves. Not to say you cannot participate if you are a fan, or hell even the admin of Best Habsburg Monarch! Just do so as a private blog, that's all we ask.
TAGS:
#main bracket - polls and recaps of the main bracket #main bracket recap - recaps of the rounds of the main bracket #bonus polls - well, bonus polls #memes - well, memes #about us - what others say about this bracket (with our response or otherwise) #housekeeping - other posts, mainly about how this poll works, updates etc.

Okay so, a lot happened, I need to type faster and fill in my notepad quicker but I only have two hands. Short recap: weird Christian plant guy, I did some 6th grade chemistry on metals, and Luddick is an idiot. And I hope he'll never find this blog. Let me start with this: I am in Prague and found myself a room. I'm sorry not to be able to update as frequently, but there's so much stuff happening who can keep up with that...?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transcript of the first and second page:
He's an ecert of Mueller's website. His newsletter is the funniest thing ever: "spread the work of the lord with science" and "how not to stay doomed" and "hello I made this website in the 1990s".
About the content, my notes are as follows:
He talks about his work being the one for the Lord and his "Master", which is, when you read further, a person we already know.
Talking about Eve and how she doomed the planet, he looks down on "mortals" and thus thinks he is immortal and claims these people dug their own graves.
He's fond of throwing people onto a stake it it gets him to his Christian world any closer. Apparently he's lost it.
There we are, the Golden Lion! That's Eckhardt, who has been around " a long, long time". He works with him to achieve at least immortality to break Eve's "spell".
Uhm yeah apparently cliamte crisis is his own work since he is just so, so good. He's batshit narcissist and I'm glad not to have met him.
Mueller is in Eckhardt work- and also fanclub and if everyone in there is just slightly like him, Lord have mercy on me. And Lara Croft. And perhaps Kurtis Trent if he's alive and after them, too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transcript of the third and fourth page:
The main thing here is that I re-read my notes again, on Eckhardt's Sanglyph, the metals he is harvesting, and the ones he had hidden in the paintings. Something was weird about the metals and I wasn't sure why. Then I read about cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc and gallium- the names of the metals today. They are close in the periodic table, and since the alchemist needs a lot of them in a purified form, they are hard to get by for a normal person. What I conclude is the following: he wants to use cheap copper to do alchemist chemistry and turn them into other elements, something we normal people can only do with bombing atomic cores. If he manages to do that his way to using the Sanglyph and becoming the Golden Lion is way easier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transcript of the fifth and sixth page:
So, my internet friend "PassionforResearchion" calls herself a scientist and has a passion for biology, plastic and medical surgery. She also loves genetic mutations, especially working with animals that can regenerate- I'll spare you the photos of her work. She seems to work well with Muller, though- she uploaded a picture of someone looking a bit like da Vinci's man, but in her notes she claimed this was "the Master". Who, if she means the same one as Muller, has to be Eckhardt. The figure looks like it has enhancements on its body and a chest plate with a glove(?) and something within its heart. Did she do this to him?
I'll annoy Luddick to talk to me again, and can maybe use my contacts. Or my fake ones. I need the dossiers if they're worth anything ang get a visiting pass to the Strahov, I think they're doing more than just research on Nephilim and plants.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Transcript of the seventh and eighth page:
I found Vasiley's art gallery, I found it through the mails of Carvier and von Croy. When asked about Vasiley, they wonderef how I couldn't have possibly heard of his death. After some talk they handed me a newspaper with an article that I took a photo of:
he died in his private rooms (house?)
the Russian mafia is supposed to be involved (not the Czech)
they were after the paintings
someone at the newspaper suggested the Montrum from Paris came here to murder him (he had ties to Werner and Cervier)
the Police keeps quiet.
I need to find his adress and check his place out.
Tumblr media
Transcript of the ninth page:
Ha, you will never guess whom I saw outside my hotel window! Just now! This guy. Fucking Luddick himself with an old red car and papers on the roof. He left for a smoke, I assume...yeah I totally didn't steal them. I did not. But I took snaps of the dossier of whatever I found important and left for my hotel room. The luck is with the idiots, and I am one of them.
I'm examining the dossiers right now. I have five photos on people and want to gather information on them as much as I can. Stay tuned, for I will try to get into Vasiley's place if I'm able to. Another crime scene to check out, can't wait to have my background check at some point!

Gran Turismo 7 accessibility review
Game title: Gran Turismo 7
Platform(s): Playstation 5, Playstation 4
Languages: Matches your Playstation console's default language setting. Czech, Danish, German, English (United Kingdom), English (United States), Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), French (Canada), French (France), Indonesian, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Romanian, Finnish, Swedish, Vietnamese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Arabic, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and simplified & traditional Chinese are available.
Age rating: ESRB E 10+, PEGI 3
Multiplayer: 2-player local split-screen multiplayer. Online multiplayer up to 20 players in a game lobby. Online profile photo, nickname, cover photo, about me, default greeting, post race greeting, and social links can all be set.
Genre/theme: Racing simulation, circuit races, rally races, championships, license trials, car collection, car customization, screenshot and photo editing.
Violence: None, aside from causing some occasional minor damage to other racers' cars.
Maturity: No sexuality, nudity, swearing, or drugs & alcohol references. A driving experience gamers of all ages will enjoy.
Difficulty modes: Setting a new standard for accessibility, several assists are on by default when starting a new game, and they remain on until you turn them off, making the game very approachable. After trying out various amounts and levels of assists, I found that most of the starting assists really did help my hands a lot. I eventually turned off the visual displays for the drive line and brake zones, but I kept corner markers displayed on-screen (I don’t have very good depth perception), auto-braking around turns (to save my left hand/arm the stress of constant braking), a little bit of ABS, and some traction control (to decrease the amount of counter-steering needed, especially on dirt tracks and rainy levels).
Even when the braking is set to automatic you can still mess up by going into a turn too fast and skidding off course or crashing, so letting off of the accelerator and doing some light manual braking will still be helpful, you won't literally fly off of the track going around a turn crazy fast like you would with the braking assist turned off. You can get a serious boost in speed if you turn off auto-braking and get good at braking manually in GT7, but I've found it to be much harder on the hands. Several of the assists can be turned way up or way down, or off entirely, giving you the freedom to choose every aspect of the game you'd like to fine-tune to your needs and preferences.
The difficulty mode is set to Normal by default but can be set to either Easy or Hard as well, race prize money is not affected by changing difficulty.
There are unlockable bonus races that aren't required for the main story completion that can range up to 5-chili pepper difficulty level; these almost always have increased tire wear and fuel usage, requiring pit stops during the race.
Complexity: As complex or as simple as you'd like it to be; Gran Turismo 7 can play very casually with several assists on, or it can be a hardcore realistic racing sim, and everything in between. Cars can be incredibly fine-tuned and customized or can be driven stock, but some upgrades will likely be needed for later races and championships, and upgrades generally make the game easier to control.
Instructions, saving, story recap, menus, & waypoints: There is a link to the online manual on the main menu screen. Controls and skills are learned and practiced by playing through the license trials. Menus are mostly pretty easy to navigate and find what you're looking for, but the text size is kinda small. In-game notifications are clear and reliable, creating a marker on which gaming mode area to select for your current goal.
There isn't much of a story beyond collecting cars and winning all the championships, as is true of the Gran Turismo series as a whole. The Cafe is your source of obtaining new goals and rewards, and also offers some brief history about the cars and manufacturers.
In-game notifications can be turned off. Autosaves often, after every race; I had the game crash a time or two and never lost any progress (in earlier builds, they release update patches often). Can turn opening movie and demo off to speed up load time.
Subtitles: Relies entirely on subtitles, the text is fairly small and appears at a medium pace.
Text customization: "Skip conversations using cancel" is the only dialogue option available. Unit of measurement can be switched between mph and kph.
Voice acting: None
Volume settings: Balanced BGM (background music) and sound effects mode, enhanced sound effects mode, race BGM focus mode, menu sound effects level, play race BGM, race BGM level, race sound effects level, replay BGM level, replay sound effects level, music replay volume balance, music replay master volume level, other BGM level, engine sound level, transmission sound level, tire squeals level, rivals engine sound level, broadcast mode, and audio output mode: 2 channel stereo or 7.1 channel surround are all customizeable. In-game notifications for the current song playing pop up in the upper right corner, and songs can be removed from the default playlist.
Photosensitivity: Exposure, color saturation, bright level, and dark level can all be adjusted.
There aren't many flashing lights in the race track environments (primarily on a couple of the road courses in Japan), the main flashing light issue is on the heads-up-display, as it flashes blue, white, and red while shifting gears (the entire heads-up-display can actually be turned off in the in-race settings menu though). Additionally, whichever setting you hover the cursor over in the Settings menu flashes between dark gray and white. Some cars emit a bit of an exhaust flash when shifting up a gear, this is more noticeable on night levels.
These can be remedied a bit by playing in a well-lit room and adjusting screen brightness (TV), backlight (TV), contrast (TV), and color settings (TV). Additionally, wearing blue light lens glasses, tinted lens glasses, or even sunglasses may be helpful.
Motion sickness: Driving in first-person perspective is really accurate with car interiors and is well done but may be too much too for gamers who struggle with fast images/high speeds, I personally found this to be a bit better in third-person camera mode. The camera can be changed with the press of a button, so you could even switch between camera modes several times in a race if different perspectives on certain turns or lighting areas are easier for you. There are four camera angles to choose from: third person (behind the vehicle and up about 25–30 degrees), first person, dash-cam, and front of the car. The sideposts and lamp posts blend together in a slightly disorienting way on particularly fast tracks/driving fast cars, but this can be remedied by placing your eyes’ focal point directly in front of the car.
Colorblindness settings: Color saturation can be customized, but no colorblind mode.
Controller rumble: Yes, vibration level can be customized or turned off entirely.
Remappable controls: 100%, every button can be remapped.
Quick-time events: None, aside from timed starts and early start penalties on some of the tougher races.
Physical impact: Low with assists on, moderate with all assists turned off. I haven't tried this game with a racing wheel or wheel + pedals setup. There are lengthy optional endurance races you can take on, which I found to be too fatiguing and painful, but completing these isn't necessary.
I played through the game on Playstation 4, but a friend of mine who played through it on Playstation 5 messaged me after reading this review to let me know that the Playstation 5 Dualsense controller caused him some additional pain and fatigue due to the controller's adjustable trigger tension level. Thankfully, the trigger tension can be turned down or off entirely to relieve this.
Adaptability and input: To play one-handed, a racing wheel + pedals setup will likely be needed. Can be played with Sony Playstation 5 Dualsense controller, Sony Playstation 4 Dualshock 4 controller, Fanatec GT DD Pro racing wheel, Fanatec CSL Elite racing wheel, Fanatec Podium racing wheel, Logitech G G29/G923 racing wheel, Logitech G PRO racing wheel, Thrustmaster T-GT racing wheel, Thrustmaster T-300RS racing wheel, Thrustmaster T-500RS racing wheel, Thrustmaster T150 Force Feedback racing wheel, and Thrustmaster T80 racing wheel.
Upgrades that can be purchased for each car include increasing the steering angle, installing a handbrake for easier drifting around turns, as well as nitrous boost.
Overall accessibility score: 4.5/5.0 (Please note that this score does not reflect the entertainment or enjoyment value of the game, it represents the range of accessibility for gamers who have specific limitations.)
With Gran Turismo 7, Sony and Polyphony have set a new standard for excellence in accessibility in racing games. A wide range of languages, complete control remappability, compatibility with several racing wheel setups, in-depth lighting, camera, and sound settings, along with all of the gameplay and visual assists you could ever want, all add up to an incredibly approachable driving experience. Some mild photosensitivity and motion-sickness, but these can be remedied by various means, and aren't anywhere near as intense as you'd expect from a driving game. The greatest accessibility omissions are the lack of voice acting and text customization settings. Who knows, with all of the updates being released for this game (and maybe a little encouragement from us) there's a chance text customization settings could be added one day!

The Sunnydale Herald Newsletter, Sunday, December 11
Buffy: What are you doing here? Willow: What are you doing here? Buffy: Well, I'm patrolling! Willow: Buffy, you're sick. Buffy: No, I feel fine. I mean, I'm... the world's spinning a little bit, but I like it, it's kinda like a ride. Cordelia: Half the school's out with this flu. It's a serious deal, Buffy. We're all concerned about how gross you look. Buffy: I'm touched. Really. But I have work to do. Willow: Buffy, come on, one night of rest is not gonna kill you. Buffy: No, but it might kill somebody else.

About (solo) trips, dance performances, first lessons, and much more ;)
27.10.2023
Hello again!;D
The time flies and it's literally so strange to already write about the month October, because it feels like I just uploaded my first blog post yesterday. The last weeks have been full of new places, new people, and new adventures and I'm sure you want to hear more about it. So let's get started with a little recap from the month of October.
But first, we have to go back to the end of September and my first solo trip EVER. I wanted to travel alone for a very long time and finally, I knew it was the perfect moment to make it happen. As the 28th was a national holiday and I also had some overtime hours to use for one day off I was able to enjoy a longer weekend of four days. So I booked myself a Bus ticket to Brno and a cute Airbnb for 3 nights and when I arrived in the city I knew it was the right decision. :D
I'd never been to Brno before and didn't know what to expect from it, but then I was welcomed by the city with sunny weather, many cute cafes, nice places to linger, and impressive architecture that I'd also seen like this in Plzeň and Praha before and that still thrilled me again.
Being a tourist I definitely had to visit the "Villa Tugendhat", the city centre with all its churches and cathedrals, the "Špilberk" and many other attractions. To be honest, when you travel alone and especially without your parents paying for every action, you have to think twice if you really want to visit this museum or go to that restaurant. ;D So I mostly cooked in my flat and tried to visit free locations like the botanical garden or the Planetarium - which were still definitely worth it- but also wanted to spend my money on good coffee, a nice book, and - my highlight of the trip- a visit to the "Janáčkovo divadlo". It was a very spontaneous decision to go to the last performance of "Bolero", a ballet about "Human relationships, basic questions of human existence, and question marks over one's own identity" and it was definitely a step out of my comfort zone but in the end, I didn't regret the costs or the decision itself because it was a wonderful and entertaining evening.
On Sunday, October 1st, I was a little bit sad to leave the city but also very happy traveling back to Plzeň, because honestly it already felt like a return home. I also got excited about all the upcoming events in and out of TOTEM.
The following Friday Maren and I went to the "Pilsner Fest" and I don't know if it was the free beer we got upon entering or the super fun DJ in one of the beer tents - probably a little of both – in any case, our mood that evening was extremely good. ;D
The next day I had a performance with my dance group Adeto at the "Třetí festival" in the "Kulturní dům JAS". All of us were a little bit nervous but when the music started we just showed our skills and had fun and definitely thrilled the audience. We were also celebrating Adeto's 10th anniversary, so the atmosphere was very good and exuberant and I clearly enjoyed every minute of the evening.
On Monday I then made my way to Praha and finally to the small town of Horoměřice, 15 minutes by bus from the capital of the Czech Republic. You might ask yourself, why I would go there of all places -well- because I spent the following days together with 19 other volunteers at our on-arrival seminar, which also included Maren and Pia, whom I already knew before. :) I think that I could write a single blog post about this week only, because the things I have experienced there, the people I've met, and the lessons I have learned are so numerous. But let me try to sum it up for you in a few sentences:
Our wonderful "leaders" Pavel and Filip not only held workshops on the topics "giving and receiving feedback, Czech language and history as well as our rights and possibilities in our journey as volunteers" but also inspired us on ways to reflect on our experiences and to plan our road ahead. I also had the opportunity to meet many new people, some of them my age others already in their 20s and I enjoyed every talk with one of them. As I listened to their stories and saw the similarities I had with some of them but also how different and unique everyone was, I realized once again that I should never try to compare my volunteer experiences to theirs and that we all have our own path on which we can decide how to proceed. I'm looking forward to meeting many of them at the mid-term seminar again, listening to their news, and telling them about my experiences in TOTEM. We even have a few trips planned, but more on that when the time comes. So stay tuned!;)
On Friday after leaving the hotel in the morning we drove back to Praha. Maren and I explored parts of the city we hadn't been to before, went to small bookstores, and expanded my collection of (really!) beautiful postcards from Praha before we met with Pia and Juli at the café "mamacoffee". The weather was so summery and warm again that we all had to drink a refreshing iced coffee before we continued strolling through the city, passing a few second-hand shops where each of us found a new beautiful piece. After a delicious dinner at Juli's apartment, we went back to the centre to watch the wonderful light constellations of the "Signal Festival" at places all over the city and then it was time to say goodbye to our friends before traveling back to Plzeň.
That week I not only met many lovely people but also received renewed motivation for my project. By visualizing all my goals and ideas about my volunteer service, I was able to get started straight away on Monday with everything I had planned.
Since I had my first German and English conversations the following week, I thought about topics, planned the lessons, and collected ideas for rituals and games that would make learning even more exciting. To be honest, I was very nervous when I walked into the room on Wednesday. All the expectant looks from the students and the questions in my head: "How will they like my lessons? Can I implement everything as intended? Will they get used to me?"
But what can I say? Although not everything went 100% as planned, I still had a good feeling after the first conversations in all 4 courses, which was probably also due to the positive feedback I received from some students. This made me even more motivated when planning my content for the following week and the tension before the lessons also subsided. Meanwhile, I have a feeling for every class and know how to prepare them individually. Every group has its own characteristics and so every lesson is different. It's not always easy, but developing the flexibility and learning to deal with each group in a way that suits everyone is a very valuable insight that will certainly help me further outside of TOTEM and after my voluntary social year.
This month has been a big lesson for me. I have learned to go out of my comfort zone, to try new things, not to judge people too quickly, and sometimes - even though it might seem a little bit scary at first- simply to get involved in things without knowing exactly how they will turn out.
Although my personality hasn't changed completely, I believe that all those experiences have shaped my personal self so far and have helped me to develop further while giving me the chance to grow personally - and I'm already extremely grateful for that!

ITF Netanya M25 (Jun 19) R1: Sahar Simon def. Raz Haviv [WC] 7-6(5), 1-6, 6-3 Match Recap
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Raz Haviv's point at *1-1 15-30 to 15-40 (top left), Sahar Simon's point to break 5-5 (top right), and Sahar Simon's point to 6-6(6-4) in the first set tie-breaker (📸 ITF Media)
A match of the day delivered prior to the closing of the day in today's ITF Netanya, which featured Sahar Simon, who featured in the Davis Cup squad twice (against Czech Republic in September 2022 and Latvia in February 2023) facing wild card Raz Haviv, who was the Nationals' doubles runner-up last year. While it took the ability to pass the other for one to prevail in the match, the level maintenance was something else.
Initially, R. Haviv opened the gate to break thanks to his swift forehand return to *1-1 15-40 before eventually breaking to 2-1. Sahar hung on well until R. Haviv had the opportunity to serve for the first set. However, Sahar had other ideas, giving more pressure to R. Haviv thanks to his backhand down-the-linw that got the latter run over to break 5-5. Two consecutive holds later, the match went to the tie-breaker, where Sahar came up with a cross-court forehand winner for his differential and set point prior to its conversion 2 points later to 7-6(5).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Raz Haviv's points to *1-2 40-30 (left) and to break 3-1 (right), 2nd set (📸 ITF Media)
Somehow, Sahar could not maintain his pace in the second set. R. Haviv tried to increase his level with his backhand down-the-line winner to fumble Sahar's game point in the third set, putting the pressure back until he came up with a forehand winner to finally break 3-1. Everything went downhill for Sahar since then when R. Haviv got his double break lead at the expense of the former's double fault to top his erratic service game, leading to the second set breadstick after R. Haviv successfully served it out (6-1).
Tumblr media
Sahar Simon's point to break 5-3 (top) and match point conversion to 6-3 (bottom) (📸 📽 ITF Media)
The third set looked more like its own rollercoaster for some momentum reason. R. Haviv intially broke to 1-0 only to be broken back at 2-2. However, he lost his balance in the middle of the third set, where Sahar took advantage of and broke thanks to his forehand down-the-line winner, which succeeded R. Haviv's previous forehand rush due to the lack of spin. Despite several hiccups, Sahar successfully served for the match (6-3), securing his path in the second round.
There, tomorrow, Sahar will face lucky loser Fons von Sambeek, who surprisingly defeated third seed Thomas Fancutt 6-3, 7-6(4). While this had the possibility to be a close match, how Sahar maintain his balance could be something to be observed in this match.

it's 1 am, anyway time for walkthrough of my entire rewatch of czech it out. as my brain slowly melts into pieces. get ready for a long-as-shit post.
EPISODE 1!!!!!
youtube
can i say. first of all. wtf are these graphics. what were they thinking and why does it kind of work with the atmosphere.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
second of all. introduction of the coffee. does carzzy like coffee? is that his coffee? who made the coffee? all differs depending on the video.
introduction of the smiley "i agree to anything carzzy says" humanoid. he has that rookie vibe here like he's very unsure of himself but oh boy marek, carzzy is not a stable anchor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
also, carzzy calling humanoid "marek brazda" every chance he gets, istg. he 100% says it just because he loves how it sounds. brazzzzda.
cut to carzzy calling him unskilled and we get the classic "i've been insulted by carzzy" face. i love that he has these patented modes. so far we've had "carzzy loml you can never do anything wrong (meant ironically)" and "carzzy loml 🥺🥺 spare me anything sir i haven't but a penny" (it has been 40 seconds)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
face is exemplified when carzzy goes out of his way to place his cup on (what i assume is) humanoid's desk, cause of course he does.
humanoid gets asked a question about mid and so carzzy is RESPECTFUL and lets humanoid speak.
Tumblr media
just leaving this here. btw: "marek brazda" counter: II
i realize at this point there are so many things to point out but i'm too lazy to screencap them. first of all, carzzy complaining about pantheon/taliyah and humanoid who was not listening at all just going "nice :)" and carzzy also needs a moment to register and then goes. "no." and then they start arguing about something with approx. 0 heart and 2 braincells of what they're arguing about. and then carzzy does the thing where he lets humanoid get the last word (thing he does all the fucking time) and just hums like a girl cause SHE IS down bad. (btw me calling carzzy a girl is not an insult it's an um actually? 🏳️‍🌈🤓 moment.)
Tumblr media
G2 TIME!!
one of the most important things about carzzynoid is their nonchalant complete factually incorrect statements. can guarantee you they think it's the funniest shit ever, however, it's only funny if no one laughs. they have these voices where you can tell they're trying to make themselves sounds as uncaring as possible. anyway yeah guys, g2 is 10th, 9th place team for sure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
CAN I SAY. carzzy's heterochromia is insane in these early videos. every close-up on his face i go woawwww!! idk if it's more noticeable or if i'm just going insane. anyway humanoid goes on to end the segment with "pojďme se na to společně podívat!" (according to software that seems about correct to me) meaning "let's take a look at it together" otherwise LITERALLY meaning "check it out." or something pretty close. as an EXTREME linguistics nerd and general languages lover i think hearing them speak czech makes me explode about 10 times anyway so. idk if that's a correct analysis :)
THIS carzzy smirk. i could write a paragraph here honestly. anyway humanoid asks a question and carzzy does not answer because why would he.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
EYES.
then carzzy goes on a rant about how amazing their coach is only for his genius mordekaiser pick to be wasted on MAREK BRAZDA (counter: III)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
insulted marek left, "i'm not blaming anyone" marek right. (carzzy was totally blaming you dude. you're both so horrible.)
carzzy checks in on humanoid for that one, lmao. makes sure that he understands, yep.
Tumblr media
NEXT DYNAMIC UP!! the fuckin sad lions/chad lions thing. carzzy thinks they are "sad lions" cause they lost both games.
carzzy calls humanoid a czech, a clearly very embarrassing insult. also he hesitated a bit which meant he was SCRAMBLING for a different insult but really. czech? that's the best he could come up with. pussy.
Tumblr media
anyway he's bullied marek into participating in the content and so he actually has to give his thoughts and he thinks he's a bad chad bitch who actually LET them win. also "this guy" counter: I. because humanoid hates calling carzzy anything actually. carzzy is just a pest to him and he needs to express that to carzzy face. obviously.
Tumblr media
CONFLICT RESOLUTION!! i love how their dynamic is straight up insult each other until one person goes: actually you're the best i love you so much you're so hot so talented i agree with everything you say i'm a shit stain you're a saint i'll do anytthing-
VIDEO END
final thoughts: ough it's 2:30 am now but it was worth it honestly feels fucking amazing to type all this out imma go to sleep hopefully nobody reads this because really you're wasting your time. if you did <3 thanks.

A good time to point out that because of Anna around 2009, all proselytizing attempts will explicitly fail on that basis. Because, you know, that’s what allows me to experience what I do on a day to day basis, and so does Ashland.
Saw her sister playing the violin with downcast eyes at the park, on the way up to a quiet space; I expected something of a rage faced look after heading back down to come here, but no, just side eye and “somewhere over the rainbow” the Chicago meets Latinos meet snk theme song.
I met a cooper on the way down the mountain road. Then, I met The Same Car, at the entrance overpass. That was after Aerosmith covered “come together” at the gas station with now *giant 16 in yellow letters on the side of it*. And that’s without noting the yellow bucket to go with the dollar I had in roadside bottles. All coincidences, I tell ya. At the location where they’d normally be taking them, and the station where I used to buy sodas when I was hiking the mountain’s roadsides picking stuff up.
I would like to say that the “yellow p-hat” guy” at the coop was coincidental, up at the desk, but *the last time I saw one of those* seems to have been on B street. A long road with no one the length of it (happens sometimes; dead ends into the city administration maintenance buildings) while I was listening to “gonzales”, a song by a czech techno group, not a place or a person.
And so to recap, because of circa 2009 events, what amounted to skinhead cottage industry level antagonism, went full-bore syndicated. A direct consequence of pairing a drug hub for the west coast with an international fortune 500 company, all in the back of a grocery store off the freeway.
(Of a town with like 30,000 people living in it)
Since I don’t intimidate or do hints or impressions, someone should send a memo or something. Maybe hire a skywriter? Since money in ailing Ashland and Oregon proper, seems to be on tap for these people.

Evaluation
Media and techniques
This project I used unreal engine and photoshop as I’ve used them both in the past quite often. The only issues I had with photoshop were my designs not looking as good as I want them to be sometimes. To improve designs I don’t think look very good I usually redesign them from the start again whilst paying closer attention to my references as that’s usually why they don’t turn out well. I didn’t have any technical issues with photoshop but if I did have any I’d look up solutions on google. I had a couple of issues with making my game in unreal but they were only due to me not knowing everything about unreal. If I wanted to make something but couldn’t I would look for solutions on either the unreal forums or youtube as they usually have a solution that I can understand and learn from. If I couldn’t find anything on youtube or the unreal forums I asked Jake and he helped me make what I wanted to and he’d explain how it works after and whilst he was making it.
Purpose/theme/concept
When I was making the game there were some vehicles I wanted to add but couldn’t because when I researched them they weren’t from the time period I wanted to have the game set. One of the vehicles I couldn’t add was the IFV Sakal but whilst researching it I found that it was an upgraded BVP-2 which is a Czech BMP-2 which is from the time period I wanted the game to be set. I did a lot of research on the cold war to figure out where I wanted to set my game and from my research I thought the best place to set the game would be Germany due to its joint occupation by the allies and the soviet union. I didn’t need to change my idea to fit the time period I wanted to set the game as if I had any issues I was able to find a solution via research
Outcome
I feel as if I’ve met my expectations for making my game, I definitely could have done better in some aspects but overall I’ve made the game I wanted to make. I feel like I’ve made a game that does more than what I set for my FMP brief as in my brief I expected to only make four vehicles total and I ended up with 7 playable vehicles total 11 if you count the non playable planes and cars as well as having a quite fun gun. There were things I wanted to get done that weren’t in the proposal such as multiple maps game modes but I kept the proposal as realistic as possible so that I could reach my minimum viable project. Unfortunately I couldn’t do all of them because of time but I still think it turned out quite well and I’m proud of what I’ve made.
Conclusion
During the whole project I was making two blog posts daily to set a plan of what I wanted to do and then an evaluation of the plan. The evaluations I was doing could have been more evaluative as they were often just a brief recap of what I had done in the day, however they did help me figure out where I was in the project and what I needed to get done. As well as the daily evaluation blog posts I had my friend who is interested in games similar to mine play test my game. It was helpful having someone who likes games similar to mine give me feedback as it helped me understand my target demographic more, however it would have been better to have a few other people play test my game so I could have a bigger range of feedback. If I was doing my project again now I would do a lot differently as I feel early on in the project I handicapped myself by choosing to use character blueprints instead of pawn blueprints for my tanks. If I had used pawns instead the hitbox issues wouldn't have been issues and my tanks would act more like vehicles and less like people which would have been nice but most issues caused by it not being a pawn were able to be partially resolved. Another thing I would have changed is the way I made maps, instead of having a tile map it would have been easier to use actors for buildings and other objects whilst having the road and paths as a tile map. Having the buildings and other objects be actors would have made placing them and making the map a whole lot less time consuming and I would have been able to make a less square map and make it resemble the area I was recreating more accurately. To prevent the issues I had whilst making the game I could have thought more about the long term whilst making the game which I did do with the parenting of my tanks but I should have done with the whole project. Overall I think this project has gone quite well, I’ve learned a lot and made a fairly decent game, I could have done things better than I did to make a better game but I know for next time what I need to do.

School, Sights, Sinuses, & Spinning
Week 2 Recap: Started classes, saw sights, sinus infection, and spin class
Happy Monday! Today is our day off of classes and I spent the day recapping my last week and prepping for the week ahead.
Last week was our first week of classes! My architecture and design class is definitely my favorite so far, and it’s a really great way to explore Prague and learn more about my new home. We spent the first class talking about the structure of the class, where we learn about an area and then actually get to explore it! Day 1 was learning about Old Town while walking around the main square.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My other classes are EECS 496 (Tech, Ethics, and Public Policy), EECS 497 (Augmented Reality: Leadership Development in the Tech Sector), and Techcom 497 (Communication for Tech Sector). These classes are going to be super interesting, as my professors are from all over the world and will be able to give so many different perspectives on the tech sector. I’m glad I can still get EECS credit while being abroad - that’s one reason why this program is so amazing!
Our classes run in 3 hour increments, and depending on how many classes you’re taking, you can have only 1 class a day! Luckily, I only have 1 class everyday which leads to lots of time exploring Prague. This week, I went to check out the Prague Castle, which was so beautiful. I went around sunset time and it was practically empty, so we had the entire place to ourselves!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately, all of the go-go-go of being abroad caught up with me and I got a sinus infection. Luckily, the health insurance and tele-doc service provided by Michigan was super easy to use. Someone called me and asked about my symptoms, and after a quick conversation, I received the antibiotics I needed! 3 days later, I’m feeling so much better and can use this Monday off to recharge before the week of school ahead.
Today, my roommate Caroline and I went to a spin class (the Czech version of SoulCycle). Luckily, it was in English (we had a rough experience with a yoga class in Czech earlier this week). Afterwards, we did our weekly grocery shopping. This experience is pretty different from grocery shopping in America. First of all, it’s significantly cheaper (at least compared to LA prices). We decided to try out one of the nicer grocery stores, and a week's worth of produce and snacks came out to around $35. Secondly, you have to bag your groceries - and FAST. There is absolutely no funny business happening here. They scan, and you bag as fast as you possibly can. You also have to pre-buy your bags, so you better hope everything fits!
Next week abroad: 2nd week of classes, trying Czech sushi for the first time, and a trip to Italy!

2022 / SONDA FESTIVAL
SONDA - festival of electroacoustic music and audiovisual performances 12/11/2022 Brno Observatory and Planetarium (CZ)
Tomoko Sauvage (JP) David Granström (SWE) Tadej Droljc (SLO) Jiří Y. Suchánek (CZ) Tomáš Vtípil (CZ) Trychtýř (collaborative project)
The SONDA festival sets out to explore the vast territory of experimental electroacoustic music, live electronics, audio-visual performances and sound art and dive deep into its captivating corners. In acoustically exceptional spaces, the festival will present the work of artists who combine the medium of sound, light and moving image in an unconventional way, reflecting the latest audio-visual technologies, as well as proven analogue methods. In addition to established artists from the domestic and international scene, SONDA will provide a space for presenting artistic ideas of the emerging generation of musicians, composers, multimedia and sound artists. Many works are custom made for the festival as part of an unrestricted and non-hierarchical collaboration between artists across different disciplines. The first edition of the SONDA festival took place on 12 November 2022 at the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. Capitalizing on the specific visual and acoustic properties of the planetarium dome, the festival will feature musical performances, AV shows, light and multimedia installations and artistic interventions. The lineup of the first edition includes five foreign and local artists. The festival will also present the work of an international collective of artists brought together by the Trychtýř Project. The group, by means of jam sessions, is putting together brand-new artistic content to be presented in the form of AV performance in the planetarium building and interventions inside the premises of the observatory. The SONDA festival was born out of pure enthusiasm. It all started with a rather random encounter between an avid music nerd with no musical education (Jan Lichý) on the one hand and an established artist with rich professional experience and academic background (Jiří Y Suchánek) on the other. The synergy of this encounter gave birth to the idea of organizing a progressive interdisciplinary showcase that seeks to broaden horizons, entertain, connect, and push boundaries, and which aspires to make a great addition to the local cultural scene.
Festival dramaturgy: Jan Lichý + Jiří Y. Suchánek  Stage design: Karolína Kohoutková Graphic design: Alina Random Video: camera + editing: Martin Dominik Kratochvíl
The SONDA Festival is organized by the SVITAVA - transmedia art lab z. s. with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the South Moravian Region.

Elisabeth’s ESC Semi-Final 2 Recap (Part 2)
Previously on Elisabeth’s ESC Semi-Final 2 Recap, Elisabeth talked way too much about The Rasmus (sorry not sorry), fangirled about Georgia and Serbia, and didn’t remember much about the song from San Marino - but remembered the stage show in great detail, I wonder why...
Anyway, here’s part 2:
Cyprus (Andromache - Ela)
I didn’t hate it, but it’s just ... we’ve had the same exact song like fifteen times on Eurovision already, sung by women who look identical. Didn’t care for it...
Ireland (Brooke - That’s Rich)
Again, not a bad song, not a bad performance. Also, not a ballad, another big plus. Not much else to say about it though, didn’t stick out to me at all.
North Macedonia (Andrear - Circles)
Amazing voice! I will definitely check out this artist’s other songs. That song though, pretty meh. Not as boring as some others we’ve heard that evening, but also not that interesting. Sorry.
Estonia (Stefan - Hope)
The cowboy guy with the guitar. Meh. I wouldn’t change the channel if I heard it on the radio. That’s pretty much all I can say about this song.
Romania (WRS -Llámame)
By this point in the evening I got rather bored and tired, a little underwhelmed by the last few songs. Then suddenly there is Romania, singing in Spanish for some reason! A singer in a torrero-like outfit flirting with both his male and female dancers. A super catchy song, lots of dancing, and all everything that makes Eurovision fun! Thank you so much, so glad they made it through to the finale!
Poland (Ochman - River)
AND we are back to the slow songs. Although to be fair, I didn’t hate that one as much as I expected to. The singer has an AMAZING voice, and the song is not as boring as I feared.
Also, it sounds like Arcade. Again.
Not surprised he made it to the finale, and I guess if I listen to it a few more times I’ll probably like it. For a ballad that is.
Montenegro (Vladana - Breath)
Another very emotional and personal song, and again I am very glad for the artist that she was able to share it with such a huge audience. But also I didn’t care for it much. I did love the weird costume though, and the singer has a good voice!
Belgium (Jérémie Makiese - Miss You)
Pretty okay. Not bad, also not my favourite. But well performed. I don’t mind the song made it to the finale, but I wouldn’t have minded if it hadn’t, either...
Sweden (Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer)
Sweden, oh Sweden. It’s not a bad song, not a bad performance, and a very talented singer. But it’s just... so generic? This song could have been sent by ANY of the countries, or it could be by an american pop star, there is just nothing Eurovision about it. So yeah, next time be a bit more daring, Sweden, okay?
Czech Republic (We Are Domi - Lights Off)
Pretty great way to end the show. Fast, fun, well performed. Also there is a guy playing an electric guitar with a bow string in the background, that’s a nice touch. Overall, yeah, I’m into it.
Intermezzo 1:
First we had Laura and Mika sing two songs together. That was great. Not a huge fan of either of the songs, but well performed.
Nitpick though: Mika has always been known for his amazing vocal range. And he didn’t get to show it off here, at all. I guess it’s because Laura has this beautiful beautiful deep voice, and they didn’t want him to sing higher than her (cause ... I dunno ... girl be singing high boy be singing low?).
Intermezzo 2:
After that we had Il Volo, and again my local TV station chose to show some commercials instead...
Great performance again. Liked it, no complaints.
And that was it, let’s see what Saturday brings. Happy Eurovision, everyone!
Love Love Peace Peace
