there is something to be said about the narrative of keronians having to hide their presence on earth like besides the obvious plot reasons, because I like to imagine some of them (*cough cough* keroro) don't like it all that much and kinda wish they could just be out in the open without antibarrier
obviously they get seen a lot already but it is a bit sad I think that he can't just like, take off and go to the store, or even the hobby shop, like he needs fuyuki or natsumi to be there to buy it for him
you think he uses the internet a lot because it's his one way to communicate with other pekoponians without it being instantly obvious he's an alien? like he still talks about his interest but... it's with other humans (it was a housewife in that one gag I remember...)
and thinking about that comic where he got lost in town it's like, yeah he gets out of the house so little that he still doesn't know any of the streets and the whole town is new to him, isn't that kinda sad?
and with earth traditions too, like hinamatsuri or christmas or april fools (or setsubun), it seems he makes an effort to understand them and include himself in them (as in, participate and observe them), but he gets it wrong every time. and isn't that also... a bit alienating...

and yknow what. saying this as someone who has been in a work environment where i was ACTUALLY the only one who knew what i was doing and i was the only one capable of keeping things running, including the person who was technically in charge of me*:
even if izzy was right. even if izzy was the only one who kept ed's ship actually running. hell, even if lucius, pete, and wee john were actually slacking off when there was important things to be done!!
you do not effectively lead a team by yelling at them and telling everyone how useless they are and how much they suck. you don't get people to get off their ass and do their fucking job by screaming "BITCH" in their face. you don't!! get things done!!! if you just stand there and tell other people what to do!!!!!
*which is v much not the case w izzy and ed but i have seen this written into some fics, for some fucking reason

did ecco ever get toxin'd or was she just fully down with everything jeremiah was doing because i wouldn't be surprised if she was just kind of waiting for miah to go full drag brunch. she knocked jerome out and shoved him into a dog cage pre-toxin

Last night in Mechwarrior 5 I was trying to get Goblin killed by going into high difficulty missions with him in his custom, lightly armed medium mech, while the rest of the team uses heavy and assault mechs.
This backfired really bad because I guess the game has threat mechanics? He was coming out of every mission with his mechs armour plating only lightly damaged while the rest of our mechs were losing entire limbs.
Why does karma have to be a thing in this game
