Bought these pastries from Mei Kee Bakery (美記餅家) in Yishun Bus Interchange. The cinnamon-scented Apple Tart used to cost just S$1.50 but had since gone up to S$2 apiece, a whopping increase of S$0.50! Likewise for the caramelized Portuguese Egg Tart from S$1.50 to S$2 each. Do refresh the tarts in the oven if you are eating them the next day as the pastry shell will get soggy.

Mallow: When you randomly started to nuzzle against his face, he tensed up, then let out a little laugh shutting his socket. He reaches up, patting the top of your head. “What are you doing, Y/n?” You stick your tongue out, and keep nuzzling him. He rolls his eye and nuzzles back letting out a soft purr.

Sticky: He jumps at the nuzzle, blinking a few times, then he grins and he leans forward pushing his face up against yours, purring loudly “Hi~” he coos. He has no idea what you were doing, but he didn't really care. He liked the attention! You could see his tail wagging happily as he nuzzled you. Good luck getting away from him >:3

Crumbles: The movement caught him off guard, and he leans away letting out a little murr sound. “Y/n” you were still just cuddling him, letting out little happy hums. He rolls his eyes and sighs, leaning into the cuddling. Slowly he started to purr too.

Sprinkles: They blink at the nuzzling, and lets out a little laugh leaning away. He shakes his head cause that could be a little dangerous on his skull so instead he leans down and lightly nuzzles you himself. His tail was swaying slowly.

"fertil ashes" Marinette realised she is in love with Chat Noir, and while there are good chances for her to seek a relationship with him as civilian self, due to their very close bond and romantic tension clear for the both of them, as Ladybug things worry her. She doesn't try pursue a relationship under that side of the mask but between trying to fix her mistakes for leaving Chat out the loop (season 4 is not canon to this.) and fix their partnership (just as he did), she realises how much shattered it really is. On live. Internationally. And it haunts her that one day her mistakes will catch up and ruin whatever she could have with him as Marinette. She just doesn't want to make him suffer anymore. And not suffer herself. Luckily, getting together with him and smooching will ease her worries😊✨ Alya doesn't know Marinette's identity, but she knows what feels like to have a friend in pain. Marinette didn't reveal to her but it led to distancing from every friend aside Alya and Nino. And while she mostly recovered thanks to time and Chat, eventually Alya never managed to understand those events. She is there to take care of Marinette as much as she is allowed and wants to help Ladybug too. Chat is just doing what he thinks Ladybug wants and what feels safe for his own mental sanity. He doesn't crush on Ladybug anymore and with no real chances to get to know Ladybug's most true and natural side (with the mask off he did with Marinette, who acts as a mix of her civilian and hero persona, and in fact he is concentrated on her) he doesn't realise Ladybug's feelings have changed nor he has chances to fall for her again.

Okay so I finally got my thoughts in order and can ramble about the second fic/arc in the solver-bound series [seasons of change], that follows V and J after the gala incident, where they get taken in by the company to aid in another squad's defense against cyn's forces since they're the originals.

I've changed stuff with Crumbles, my middle N x V shipkid.

He's born in the compound. V knows she's carrying another core, she KNOWS it's N's but N is missing at that point, everyone thinks he died for good back at the manor, and V is scared to death to let the human workers find out that she's having a kid, because she thinks they'll take him away. just like they did Desmarais at the manor.

She has crumbles alone, at night, by herself, and it hurts. She has to remove his core from her chest casing herself, alone, with nobody to help, but she bites through it in an attempt to keep her son hidden, because in that moment, he's all she has left of N.

And he looks like N. God, he looks just like N, and for the first time since the gala incident, everything is okay. It's just her and her son, curled up in the little mess of blankets and pillows in the mesh net bed of her room, and he's HERS, and nothing can take that from her.

As Singapore economy started to revive from the COVID-19 pandemic, the once shuttered stalls at Yishun Bus Interchange get a new lease of life. Took noticed of this relatively new stall - Mei Kee Bakery (美記餅家) by Bakery Cuisine selling baked buns and pastries as I often walked pass it to board the bus home. The Portuguese Egg Tart (S$1) with the burnt surface of the custard was gorgeous looking. Like the taro tart above, the crust was buttery thin and filled with golden egg custard that filled the mouth with sweet creamy eggy taste and nutty caramel flavours.

I was attracted to their Ginkgo Taro Tart (S$1.50) filled with lavender coloured yam paste. The tart shell is thin and crumbly which fall apart as I sliced into it to reveal a single ginkgo nut. I enjoyed the buttery crust but the mildly sweet paste do seem to be creamy/floury and lack the prominent yam flavour I am expecting. Maybe replacing the ginkgo nut with a few cubes of yam would have make this a better yam tart.

The Apple Tart (S$1.50) with its cinnamon-scented apples that are sweet and carry hint of tartness came topped with sandy crumbles. I would enjoy this over a cup of hot tea for a late afternoon snack.
