Finding Strength in Adversity: Reflection on Psalm 3
1 Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!2 Many are saying of me,“God will not deliver him.”3 But you, Lord, are a shield around me,my glory, the One who lifts my head high.4 I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain.5 I lie down and sleep;I wake again because the Lord sustains me.6 I will not fear though tens of thousandsassail me on every side.7 Arise,…

What a sweet and powerful gesture. It's frustrating when people say "what do you expect them to do? they're entertainers not activists!" look at how simple this gesture of solidarity is and how resonant it is! This is wonderful.

Husky breeder as an animal abuser
The eleven Huskies, the Chihuahua, and the Pomeranian sat huddled together in their excessively small cages. Their bodies were emaciated, their fur in a pitiful state. The animals were hungry and thirsty, yet no one paid them the attention they so desperately needed. Day after day passed in this living hell, with no one hearing their cries for help.
The family that operated this cruel breeding operation had abused and neglected the animals for years. They let them starve and languish without regard for their suffering. It was a place of horror, a construction site of terror, as eyewitnesses described it.
But finally, after an unimaginably long time, the authorities intervened. The animals were taken away from the family, and a ban on keeping animals was imposed. Although it was a small step in the right direction, it had taken far too long, and the animals had endured far too much suffering.
The "Krone-Tierecke" took in three of the Huskies and cared for them lovingly. The other animals were distributed to various animal welfare facilities. There, they finally received what they so desperately needed—food, care, and love.
The animals were in a terrible state. Their bodies had adapted to the lack of food and care. But despite it all, they were brave and slowly fought their way back to life. They had experienced so much pain, yet they never lost hope for a better future.
Awareness of such cruel acts by breeders was growing, as was awareness of the authorities' failure. The family should have been stopped much earlier. A lifelong ban on animal ownership and a lengthy prison sentence would have been appropriate. The animals should not have spent a single day longer in this hell.
This sad incident underscores the importance of petitions and efforts for harsher punishments for animal abusers. It is high time for things to change and such acts to no longer be tolerated.
We wish the rescued dogs all the best for their future. They have endured so much, but we hope that they will finally find a loving forever home. Their scars will heal, and their hearts will heal over time. They deserve love, warmth, and comfort.
And to all who hear this story: It is better to adopt animals from animal shelters rather than buying from breeders. Only when the demand for bred animals decreases will the supply change. Adopt, don't shop—a message that should be ingrained in the hearts of all people. Because every rescued animal is a voice against animal cruelty and a sign of hope.

Freeing myself from the shackles that is believing anyone truly gives a shit. But I also love that people also think I don’t have feelings. You think I’m way stronger than I actually am & it’s a backhanded compliment

I'm driving myself crazy trying to decode "it's impossible to use a half loop top stitching on low viscosity rayon, it would snag the fabric".
What the fuck is low viscosity rayon? all rayon is 100 percent viscose and 100 percent viscous. It's rayon. It's not a liquid. All stitching snags the fabric, does she mean cause a run? That's a function of thead count not fibre content? surely? So does she mean the sitching is too heavy for fine rayon? Did she use viscosity to refer to DRAPE? Is it organdie? What is half loop stitching? is that machine stitching? Cos you can hand stitch whatever top stitching you fucking want, wasn't she buying corture? I'm dying here.
Do I not know enough about clothes, in American terms like "rayon", or was the writer only interested in creating functional sounding legal banter and considered the fashion banter too frivolous to bother with? Isn't that tragic? It's a microcosm of the films message on a meta level.
