Craigdarroch Castle | The Heelshire Mansion
Some places that aren't shown in the movie (and I would like to see them but I think it would be impossible)

Craigdarroch Castle in Victoria, British Columbia, is a historic, Victorian-era Châteauesque mansion. :: [Edmund Lowe]

Going West
Life happens and it’s been challenging at times to juggle travel with business affairs, personal affairs and blogging. And with the passage of each passing day, it’s become increasingly more difficult to return to summer events with the same vitality...

OK SO FOR EVERYONE WHO NEEDS IT THE MANOR THAT THE BOY WAS FILMED WAS AT CRAIGDARROCH CASTLE IN VICTORIA, CANADA
HERES SOME MOVIE TO IRL COMPARISONS

This unfortunately is moreso for the interior and general exterior of the house itself, they ofc added like…trees in post so it’s kind of unclear of WHERE the manor is supposed to be, plus the house is in like a neighborhood too, but it has a pretty field behind it!!!

[Urban Sketching] Opus Daily Practice 12
The prompt was fusion today but I skipped the prompt and did some drawings on location. I have been blocked the past couple of days and going exploring helped, I think.
The sky looks nice and clear in the photo of Craigdarroch Castle, but it was grey and rainy during most of the painting to the point I had to put my umbrella over my sketchbook to stop the drizzle from smudging my lines. You can also tell I was hurrying and losing control of my lines because my hands were so cold, sob.
The painting at Dallas Road about 3 hours later was easier, it was nice and sunny and warm for most of it and it was a much simpler subject.

Wordpress Prompt #5
Bloganuary writing promptName an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.View all responses Tofino! I mean, it’s four hours away so it’s not that close. But I have been on the Island for almost 4 years now. Also Craigdarroch Castle. Is it like Casa Loma or is it better? Actually, I think there’s a lot in Victoria that I want to see and haven’t since…

my boyfriend and i went to victoria bc recently and we of course had to stop in at craigdarroch castle, which i’d been to before loooong ago and which i instantly recognized a few years back as the set for the divinely mediocre horror movie the boy (about the girl who gets hired to be a nanny for a porcelain doll by parents who don’t seem to know their son is a porcelain doll; shenanigans ensue!)
and we really wanted to go in and act like we were like the #1 the boy superfans on a the boy pilgrimage, but we didn’t quite have the moxy to mess with the tour guides that hard
but in retrospect part of me wishes we had

MIKEY MORBIUS / “THE LIVING VAMPIRE”
Formerly known throughout UVic as one of the most exceptional students in his field, an experimental treatment for his rare blood condition turned him into a terrifying creature of the night. Mikey currently resides in Castle Craigdarroch, giving guided tours by day while he covertly subsists on the blood of corrupt cops and politicians. However, as time goes on, his bloodlust seems harder and harder to control...

Week 23.5/52: June 6th - June 12th 2022 | Day off in Victoria! 🏯
Omg such an eventful day!! At last, after 4 days of working, we had a day off in Vic LOL so I went to explore with Matt ☀️ ! The weather was super weird on this day because it was switching from hot to cold on a secondly basis jhfsjkagh honestly so annoying wtf. Our first stop was fish and chips at Red Fish Blue Fish. The lineup was SUPER long... took us an hour to order and get food 😭😭😭 but it was truly very yum!! IDK if it was worth the wait because we had to eat outside and the wind was going 100km/h LOOOOL legit so cold but also worth because yum hahahahah. Walked around downtown (BC Parliament building area) and fisherman’s wharf after eating. Walked a lot on this day basically. The fisherman’s wharf was SOOOO pretty (infinitely nicer than Steveston hahahaha) and colourful!!! Made such nice photos. Next stop was Craigdarroch Castle. Such a cute home of some princess hahhaahhaa I love it!!!! Actually so pretty. We went back to airbnb to rest for a little bit before heading out to Hatley Castle (actually wanted to go to Fisgard lighthouse but they were closed). My second time here and I love it still!! Saw some peacocks here too LOL so much nature in Victoria.
