Nehebkau Heka
Within the LAGG is a reference to a heka for Nehebkau, in which a spell is spoken over His figure against the plague of the year. I decided to make my own spell in order to fight against any illness and plague. Simply draw a snake to use a representation of Him, and repeat the following prayer:
He is brought forth, in His name of Nehebkau, He is called, the one within the great house.  O Great Nehebkau, I beseech you!
Free me from this illness, free me from all bad winds.  Take the poison from my heart and viens, Clear me of all disease.

hyena (or wolf or fox) graves (or alerudy up to u), seeing a breach in a fence in price’s farm, he fits through it, and goes searching for food but instead finds sweet little cow reader sunbathing
farmer price damn near has an aneurysm and keeps her away in her pen for a little bit for her safety :( graves still always comes back, and finds other ways to cow reader even after price patches his fences
Coyote!Graves just wanted a quick snack but he found a goddamn meal!! The farmland and the fences border with a large forest and some of the boards aren't as strong and well maintained as the ones closer so it wasn't that hard to find a weak spot to break through and get into the pasture, especially for someone as quick and agile as Philip!!
He wanted to sneak in, grab some eggs, maybe snatch some veggies too while he's at it but what did he find instead? A cute fluffy cowgirl sunning, laid out like a perfect meal with tits visibly heavy with milk and well...who would Graves be if he didn't get a little something out of it??
And you're so right😭 Price would almost collapse when he went out to check on his best girl only to find you on your back with that fucking blond coyote bc you BET this isn't the first time Price encountering Philip messing around on his farm, be it stealing chicken and eggs or messing around with his bulls and now THIS >:(
He's stuck to your tit and suckling like a babe all while humping you like crazy, your thighs and belly shining with cum and the worst part is that Graves had the sheer audacity to growl at him when he got near >:(

Just wanted to say that I love your coyote posts. The weird skulls, the colour/local variations, injuries that have miraculously healed, genetics. All fascinating. I’m based in the UK so sadly I’m a few thousand miles from the nearest coyote but I love reading about them.
Anyway I hope you have a fab coyote filled day!
Thank you!! I'm just very passionate about them and I hope that encourages others to learn more about the species! I’ve heard so much misinformation about them. Everything from "coyotes trick dogs into following them so they can take them back to their dens and kill them" to "coyote hybrids don't exist" and even people who actively study them being really adamant about spreading certain misinformation. They're a very controversial animal and because of that it's difficult to find reliable information. I'm not an expert in coyote ecology or behavior by any means and a lot of my info comes from reading, talking with other coyote nerds (some of whom study them for a living or work with them), and observations I've made from working on them. The only thing I've really learned is to just keep collecting all the info I can about them and change up my notes on a moment’s notice because so many studies are being done. I'm thrilled to see so many people interested in them and I'm happy to share what I can/feel comfortable enough to talk about from my experience. I just want to be very clear that anything I post is intended to be a jumping off point for others to do their own research about the species. My experience is not universal, the information I have gathered definitely has a lot of room for debate, and I want to encourage others to do more in-depth research on them then I'd ever be able to!

Wait, which animals raise livestock?
Several species of ants will 'herd' aphids around (a type of plant lice)- even picking them up and putting them back with the group if they wander off. The ants will attack anything that approaches their aphid herds, defending them. The aphids produce a sugary excretion called honeydew, which the ants harvest and eat.
Some ants will even 'milk' the aphids, stroking the aphids with their antennae, to stimulate them to release honeydew. Some aphids have become 'domesticated' by the ants, and depend entirely on their caretaker ants to milk them.
When the host plant is depleted of resources and dies, the ants will pick up their herd of aphids and carry them to a new plant to feed on - a new 'pasture' if you will.
Some ants continue to care for aphids overwinter, when otherwise they'd die. The ants carry aphid eggs into their own nests, and will even go out of their way to destroy the eggs of aphid-predators, like ladybugs.
--
Microhylids – or narrow-mouthed frogs - have an interesting symbiosis with Tarantulas.
While the spiders could very easily kill and eat the much-tinier frogs, and DO normally prey on small frogs, young spiders instead will use their mouthparts to pick up the microhylid frogs, bring them back to their burrow, and release them unharmed.
The frog benefits from hanging out in/around the burrow of the tarantula, because the tarantula can scare away or eat predators that normally prey on tiny frogs, like snakes, geckos, and mantids. The tarantula gets a babysitter.
Microhylid frogs specialize in eating ants, and ants are one of the major predators of spider eggs. By eating ants, the frogs protect the spider's eggs. The frogs can also lay their eggs in the burrow, and won't be eaten by the spider.
So it's less 'livestock' and more like a housepet - a dog or a cat. You stop coyotes/eagles from hurting your little dog/cat, and in return the dog/cat keeps rats away from your baby.
--
Damselfish grow algae on rocks and corals. They defend these gardens ferociously, and will attack anything that comes too close - even humans. They spend much of their time weeding the gardens, removing unwanted algaes that might overtake their crop.
The species of algae that they cultivate is weak and and sensitive to growing conditions, and can easily be overgrazed by other herbivores. That particular algae tends to grow poorly in areas where damselfish aren't around to protect and farm it.
Damselfish will ALSO actively protect Mysidium integrum (little shrimp-like crustacians) in their reef farms, despite eating other similarly sized invertebrates. The mysids are filter feeders, who feed on zooplankton and free-floating algae, and their waste fertilizes the algae farms. Many types of zooplankton can feed on the algae crop, and the mysids prevent that.
While Mysids can be found around the world, the only place you'll find swarms of Musidium integrum is on the algae farms that Damselfish cultivate.
Damselfish treat the little mysids like some homesteaders treat ducks. Ducks eat snails and other insect pests on our crops, and their poop fertilizes the land. The ducks can be eaten, but aren't often, since they're more useful for their services than their meat.
--
There are SEVERAL species of insect and animal which actively farm. They perform fungiculture and horticulture: deliberately growing and harvesting fungus and plants at a large-scale to feed their population.
Leaf-cutter ants and Termites both chew up plant material and then seed it with a specific type of fungus. The fungus grows, and the termites/ants harvest the mushroom as a food source.
Ambrosia beetles burrow into decaying trees, hollow out little farming rooms, and introduce a specific fungii (the ambrosia fungi), which both adults and larval beetles feed on.
Marsh Periwinkles (a type of snail) cultivates fungus on cordgrass. They wound the plant with their scraping tongue, then defecate into the wound so their preferred fungus will infect it and grow there. They let the fungus grow in the wound a bit, and come back later to eat.

Simple Shower Cleansing Heka
While I always enjoy doing more formal cleansing rituals and find it cathartic, I wanted to incorporate a secondary cleansing ritual on the days where I only have time to do a short shower!
This heka is just a short chant, to be repeated as much as you feel necessary, while in the shower:
“As I bathe in the waters of Nun, I am made pure. Let me be clean to sing the praises of the Netjeru, Let me be pure to pray at their altars, Let me be washed of any impurities. I am pure, I am pure, I am pure.”

hey a friend of mine asked me if i had any resources on butch identity but they really don't do well with, like, books, so i was wondering if you could recommend me stuff like articles or essays (anthologies i think are worth a shot too)? thanks!
So I might not be the best person to ask about it because I don't read that many articles, I'm more of a book person, but I was reminded by a friend when discussing this ask that a lot of books I enjoy are collections of essays so I'll make some recommendations for books still and you can pick out of those a few essays that might help your friend understand butch better.
Here's a few suggestions from the books I recommend probably the most:
The Persistent Desire: A Femme-Butch Reader edited by Joan Nestle:
"They was no one to mess with": The construction of the butch role in the lesbian community of the 1940s and 1950s - pages 62-80
Butch To Butch: A Love Song - pages 81-94
When Butches Cry - page 109
How The Butch Does It - pages 133-137
The Femme Question - pages 138-145 (speaks a bit about butch as a role)
A letter from Australia - pages 169-179
The Butch-femme Question - pages 208-219
Lullabye For A Butch - pages 234-237
Butch On The Streets, 1981 - pages 240-248
Butches, Lies And Feminism - pages 272-292
When She Wears A Tie For Me - pages 333-335
My Woman Poppa - pages 348-350
Sweet Suit Suite - pages 353-354
A Celebration of Butch-femme Identities in the Lesbian Community - pages 454-463
Of Catamites And Kings: Reflections On Butch, Gender, And Boundaries - pages 466-482
Persistence: All Ways Butch and Femme - Ivan Coyote and Zena Sharman:
A Butch Roadmap - pages 77-79
Butch Is How I Feel - pages 90-94
Masculine Of Center, Seeks Her Refined Femme - pages 107-115
With Both Fists: Conscious Gender Building Through The Butch And Femme Identities - pages 152-158
Tomboy Survival Guide by Ivan Coyote:
Shouldn't I Feel Pretty? - pages 108-116
Be Careful In There - pages 128-133
Heat And Hot Water - page 231
For articles specifically, maybe some butch mutuals can help, I'll leave this open for people to recommend stuff in the replies.

Do you have any butch resources (like reading materials) for transmasculine people that are unsure if they're comfortable IDing as a man vs a butch? Besides Stone Butch Blues (it just gets recommended in every list I already know about it) Trying to figure stuff out...
leslie feinberg has other books besides SBB that you could check out, like drag king dreams (2006), which has a special place in my own heart... but if you're all full on feinberg, another author whose work explores the intersection of butchness and transness would be ivan coyote. really dug their memoir tomboy survival guide (2016) for an example. that one exists in audiobook form too, narrated by the author themself. real pleasant voice on that guy!
neither book is necessarily directly about figuring out whether you're a butch or a man, but maybe they'll help you along in that process anyway. both books made me cry & made me feel very seen as a transmasculine butch personally. if anybody else has any recommendations or insight, i'm sure anon would appreciate it!
but at the end of the day, if you really can't choose between man and butch, you can just be both. you'd be surprised with the amount of guys out there who are both.

I have loved reading about your recent butch and femme posts so much, so I would like to start with thanking you for them. I’m a baby dyke and for the past while I’ve been a self described butch, but where I’m at atm isn’t safe for me to be out so I haven’t had much irl experience with other lesbians. I’ve never heard the difference between a feminine lesbian and a femme put before in words! I was wondering if you had any resources (books, research, pdfs) on butch experiences? Ik you might not be the best person to ask but your blog is the first place I’ve seen it talked about ever!
Many thanks and well wishes Xx I hope you have a lovely day
