boy it would be nice to be able to google something related to personality disorders, psychosis, intellectual disabilities, autism, DID/OSDD, etcetera without finding majority articles that are like “how to deal with a person with X” “how to cope with your child with X” “how to spot someone faking X” “can people with X be cured?”

it is so isolating to be disliked by other autistic people (mostly lvl 1s) because i am a stereotypical autistic person and they think i make the community look bad.
i stim loudly. i have self-harm stims. i have tone regulation problems. i don’t understand and can’t pick up on social cues. i’m gullible. a lot of things go right over my head. i have childish interests. i have poor motor skills. i need things explained to me a lot of times before i understand them. i have a poor grasp on language. i have frequent verbal shutdowns. my meltdowns are loud and dramatic and violent. i learned how to emote through media and it shows. i have a lot of difficulty masking.
a lot of autistic people (ahem, aspie supremacists) dislike that i refer to my autism as a disability and am observably disabled by it. they don’t like that i have deficits. it gets in the way of their “autism isn’t a disability, it’s a superpower” rhetoric. it’s exhausting seeing other autistic people get on beyonce’s internet and say shit like “autistic people don’t have social deficits, we just think allistic communication is bad and wrong” as if their experience = all autistic peoples experience.
pls stop speaking over the entire community. idgaf if you don’t personally call yourself disabled or don’t experience social deficits, lots of us do and we don’t deserve to be written off because our existence doesn’t support your narrative.

if spooky season has a million haters, then I am one of them. If spooky season has ten haters, then I am one of them. If spooky season has only one hater then that is me. If spooky season has no haters, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is for spooky season, then I am against the world.

knowing people who are great in most ways and absolutely terrible in a few areas is an experience for sure. the people i live with are mostly wonderful except they refuse to accommodate or even let me accommodate my OCD because they think exposure therapy = repeatedly triggering someone and it’s completely destroying my goodwill towards them. anyway this is your reminder that OCD is not just straightening pencils or whatever and if you know someone with OCD you should give them a hug or money or something cause this shit sucks

sure is fun (/sarcastic) having a nervous system that’s so fucked up from trauma that genuine support feels like i’m in trouble and everyone is mad at me

there needs to be a translation app for allistic - autistic communication istg. i’m having a recurring problem with someone i live with who’s allistic where whenever she schedules something with me like a talk or an activity, she never means exactly what she says. she’ll say “we’ll meet up at 6” and then at 6:30 i’ll text her to ask if she’s still coming and she’ll respond “i’m still at work, i’ll be there in an hour” like WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU’RE AT WORK. YOU SAID 6. WHY DID YOU SAY 6 IF YOU DIDN’T MEAN 6. this shit keeps happening but i’m pretty sure it would be considered rude to ask her to be honest about when she’ll do something

OCD culture is experiencing the most awful debilitating symptoms that keep you up at night and lowkey make you want to die (not an exaggeration) but not being able to talk about it because everyone thinks OCD is just liking things to be tidy and line up and if you talk about your symptoms you’ll be told you’re a terrible person and should be locked up in a psych ward
