ok so idk why i did this but it’s done. might have to zoom in to see them all but -3-

this is a complete ref page of all of our toonfolk and their unique markings / cracks / scars, besides the two at the bottom which have been censored per request, the only reason they’re there to begin with is for myself (the sys) and my partner to see.

anyway, just wanted to put this out here half because i like drawing the toonfolk atm and half because i needed a ref/a break from inktober stuff. take this as you will, any creators mentioned in black above the alters can dm me if you don’t want me talking their characters (??? source?? idk words oh well) for whatever reason.

AGAIN, these are all fictives!! i am NOT stealing people’s OCs, any and all OCs / characters that ARE NOT FICTIVES will be clearly mentioned to not be such. furthermore, any alters will have their names tagged on the post with a format of [first, lastname] whereas the OCs will be tagged with [OC: name], the only time this being tricky is with Cherry and Cream, who will be tagged differently depending on the context of the post. an OC post where they are the character and not the alter? marked as [OC: name]. a post where they’re the alter and not the character? [first, lastname], as seen in the below tags for both Cherry Rumman and Cream Campari.

Olga “Oggie” Lynn (1882-1961), born Lowenthal, was a singer and singing teacher, who, despite being somewhat older than most of the Bright Young Things, was a staple of their circle. She was “short,” “dumpy,” and “jolly,” and would often host tableuax vivants for charity or sing at parties with “a rather sweet, pure little voice” when she wasn't giving lessons. She “was inclined to get into situations with which she could not cope and was always being helped by her friends,” chief among them Oliver Messel.

For a time, she lived together with Gladys Cooper, Lady Idina Sackville, and Tallulah Bankhead. According to Chips Channon, she and Tallulah Bankhead were “the queens of London's wickedest world — la haute lesbie [coterie of smart lesbians].” Her girlfriend, Maud “the Admiral” Nelson (1904-1969), though “unable to type,” was secretary first to Napier, Lord Alington, and then Cecil Beaton. It is undoubtedly Maud Nelson to whom Anthony Powell refers when he describes the mixed make-up of the parties of the age:

As a Christmas present, in 1933, Baba and Cecil Beaton gifted Olga Lynn a scrapbook filled with signed photographs of their friends, giving us a glimpse of her social circle. It included Lady Idina Sackville; Violet, Duchess of Rutland; Gertrude Lawrence; Lady Diana Cooper; Napier, Lord Alington; Sir Michael Duff; Audrey Pleydell-Bouverie; and Viola Tree.

We're back in business! Again!! This kicked my butt after that break, but I think it came out super cute! I went with the most poppy, colorful fit from the 80s I could find in the book. Really they killed it with this design

Dance Club Barbie came with a cassette! They also released a promotional VHS where Paula Abdul teaches you how to do "The Barbie"

If you look, I changed the B on the jacket to an M! It's supposed to be under the collar, but I made it into like a pin so it could be more visible.
