actually I find it so interesting that the master, whose ambition is to rule over the whole creation is so eager to offer the doctor to rule beside him, "a half share of the universe" as he puts it, and when the doctor refuses he tries so hard to convince him: talking about power used for good. AND when the doctor refuses again he acts upset. like imagine: your life ambition is to have absolute power over the universe, and when you finally are able to get it you decide to give half of it to your friend-turned-nemesis. why? does he even really want it? probably not. he's such a disaster I love him so much
