Imagine being friends with Fanny and Rachel
A trip to the moon base's cafeteria was never an uneventful trip when you had Fanny and Rachel by your side. Though it wasn't due to anything the latter did. In fact, every trip to get some food was filled with anger-laden rants and animated gesturing was because of the Irish redhead. Most of the time it wasn't anything serious since she did have a tendency to overreact and be rude when a boy entered her eyesight but there were a few occasions where her anger was justified. That was when it was up to you and Rachel to try and mitigate her anger as to not try and frighten the other operatives at the moon base.
"Look at what that dumb boy did!" Fanny ranted, her face reddening with frustration. Pulling her sweater away from her body to show you guys the huge and damp stain on her sweater. "On my favorite sweater too! Oh, when I see that Numbuh 13, I'm going to pummel him!"
Leaning back slightly to catch each other's eye, you and Rachel shared a look of cluelessness as Fanny continued to vent. Taking the lead, you placed a hand on your friend's shoulders. "I'm sure your mom will be able to remove that stain."
"Forget about Numbuh 13," Rachel added. "The cafeteria is having ice cream today. I'm sure we can convince Numbuh 48 Flavors to give you an extra scoop."
Fanny let out a huff but she did nod her head. "But if another boy ruins my day then I'm going to do something about it."

Imagine your crush, Numbuh 274, finding out that you're a talented singer and a member of the choir at school
——— Requested by @sacredwarrior88 ———
Numbuh 274 didn't usually leave the classroom in the middle of a lesson. He cared too much about his grades to miss something important due to needing to go to the restroom. But he hadn't had time during the break cause he had to meet with the theater teacher to discuss something about the school play and that took longer than expected. Just as his meeting with the theater teacher ended, the school bell rang sending him scurrying to his next class and a few minutes later, asking the teacher if he could go to the restroom.
Just as he reached them, the singing next door caught his attention. Checking the corridors to make sure no teacher or hall monitor was walking around ready to scold him for roaming about and seeing that there was none, he quietly walked to the classroom to investigate. Peeking through the door's window, he watched as everyone seemed to be gathered around a piano and who he assumed to be the teacher playing it. No one seemed to noticed him, being too focused on watching the teacher to noticed his face at the window.
As he listened to the playing, he had to admit the singing was good though he couldn't recognize the song that was being played. Scanning the room to see who was singing, he didn't see anyone he recognized but he did a double take when he saw you right there at the center of the first row, head held up high as you sang along with your classmates.
As much time as the two of you spent together during missions - Numbuh 362 paired you too up often due to how well you both worked together - the two of you never really talked about yourselves, sticking to focus on the objective. But now as he watched how happy you seemed to be in choir, maybe he could bring it up the next time you were paired up. After all, he did want to get to know you better.

You know what’d be cool? A fight scene between Galactic Numbuh 1 with Father-style powers and Numbuh 3 with Grim’s Scythe.

i wonder if the (at least previous) reputation of broccoli as "the food all children hate" was caused by a legitimate distaste caused by improper disposal of bad broccoli in generations prior.
i wonder this because i can't in good faith believe that the majority of children find the taste of broccoli inherently disagreeable. broccoli tastes fucking good, and i've held that opinion since i dared to try it. i was at the right age to be watching Codename: Kids Next Door and to think that the joke of "kids hate broccoli" was just the result of adult writers projecting their childrens' eating quirks onto all children, or simply just making shit up.
but let me tell you something, something i've only just discovered properly for myself. when broccoli goes bad it smells fucking putrid. a dirty steamer used to cook broccoli, the water in it turned green, that's unpleasant and motivates me to clean it within a day. but two heads of broccoli in an indoor food waste caddy for a couple of days and i thought something might have died in that corner of the kitchen.
and let me tell you something else. children's brains are incredibly associative. or at least, mine was. when i was five, i went completely off my absolute favourite kind of sandwich because i saw something i found really disgusting while eating one.
my hypothesis is that exclusively eating frozen broccoli is a really recent thing. i know refrigerators aren't that old, but even refrigerated, i imagine bad broccoli reeks really easily. let a child get one waft too many of that smell, and the connection might form that that's just what broccoli smells like. doesn't matter how fresh and delicious it actually is, if it's too close to the bad smell, the bad smell is what they will think of.

Another one of my coworkers got me re-watching Codename: Kids Next Door again, another classic I remember loving as a child. (At this rate each one of my coworkers is going to be responsible for getting me to rewatch a different cartoon from my childhood askdhasdhasd)
So far it's not really grabbing me like EEnE or Animaniacs did, but I'm still kinda enjoying it so we'll see what happens.
I know this headcanon is rather common, but I like to imagine we are seeing everything through the eyes of their imagination. Like, all the stunts, the tree house base, the props are all make-believe irl, but through the power of their vivid imagination, we get to see it the way we do.
I'm such a sucker for that shit, that's partially why Ed Edd n Eddy resonates so well with me because they're just hanging out and having fun. It brings me back to when I was their age and man, the nostalgia is real. I may not be able to go back and be a kid again, but I can relive it vicariously through these cartoons.
