Today, I've got some silly results to share from our on-campus Pokémon Day celebration! (Which I "forgor 💀" to post about. My B!)

We asked you all to bring your Pokémon partner to the Schoolyard and tell us your favorite thing or story about them--and you all delivered!

🥇Here's the speeches we really... treasured!🥇

The "Most Applause" category, for the student who brought a Clodsire up to the stage, said "He is baby", and walked off!

The "Best Getaway" category, for the student who brought their Toedscool to the stage, set her down, and then watched as she "booked it" to the cafeteria at lightning pace!

The "Most Passionate" category, for Penny, who spent a good hour of our time discussing Veevees. With no script. You go, girl!

The "Most Educational" category, for Nemona, who gave us all an hour and twenty minute speech on her choice of effort value investment and moves for her Kommo-o!

The "Best Demonstration" category, for the student who timed how long his Quaxly would take to fix its incredible pompadour (the answer is 3 seconds--perhaps a new "GOAT"?)

And the "Most Unique" award for... you know that student! As usual! They made a point of bringing in Kyogre and Groudon, live, in person! We would like to humbly request that never happen again.

So after drawing fancy Clive, I decided to just go all in and draw the others as well

I’d say Descole was the one I had the easiest time with, but maybe that’s because I draw him so much. Also, I figured out how to draw frills! Ironically, for a character who isn’t an Ace Attorney character, considering they’re the ones with the jabots. Also, I noticed after coloring that Descole’s new color scheme looks more similar to Layton.

Next was Dimitri, who I sort of just gave his Evil Layton outfit, but with his own design mixed in. To be honest, I feel like I didn’t do him that good, but I already think his normal design is nice enough, so it was a challenge

Anton I was definitely struggling with, considering he probably dresses the most fancy out of any characters, and trying to find a new look for him was difficult. Then, I was struck with the idea to use Van Zieks as an inspiration, specifically his casual outfit we see in the art book. So Anton got a top hat, which from what I can gather, would still be considered normal wear back in his time

Then we get to Don Paolo. To be perfectly honest, I was debating just not having him there, because I couldn’t figure out what to do with him. Also I had never drawn him so I thought I would botch it. But then I found an outfit that could work with him, and to be honest, I think I did pretty good

But yeah, these are my ideas for what the villains could have worn in the cafe art, hope you like them!

This year, we’re bringing back an old school tradition! (Ask your gramps about it.) Since you all so kindly wear those uniforms day after day… when YOU walk the stage, YOU pick your outfit!

It could be anything under the great Solgaleo: giant inflatable Tyrantrum. Old T-shirt and shorts that say “I Hate Naranja-Uva” (say it isn’t so!). That cool Kitakami Jinbei you got abroad. Incredibly accurate Clive cosplay. (Please? 🥺) Or just a regular cap and gown. We have those. For free. As long as you have enough clothing to meet public decency standards and nothing particularly profane or offensive on, though, strut your stuff! And then, enjoy the rest of your life wearing whatever the heck you want.
