- met CLAYTON HOLDREN. he seems affable enough, but given that he’s the director of this department it was most likely him that either came up with or signed off on the WARWICK project, so fuck’im.

- also, BIOSCIENCE cultivates medicinal plants, which could definitely come in handy in the outside world >:(

- on to ADVANCED SYSTEMS next! this is the place that invented the TELEPORTER, so i’m excited at the prospect of what i could “borrow” from there.

- DID SOMEONE MENTION WORKPLACE SAFETY?!?!?!?!?!?!

- *lawyer. lawyer, TODD. fuck’s sake it wasn’t me who decided that’d be my pre-war job.

- it seems like he’s primarily motivated by adherence to the letter of law, but i still appreciate the hell out of him for keeping this place honest (as far as safety is concerned, ethics are a bit of a different story). hope i can spare him when everything goes down.

- oh fuck yes! a SAFETY HANDBOOK and everything? give me the it!

- (i sure hope it’s on a HOLOTAPE and not in that terrible oversized handwriting, that’ll take forever to get through.)

Institute scientists and Sole have a restaurant night of sorts

This is based off of a conversation I had with @curodole It’s to good to not share.

·Instead of just talking it out with the guys who lock themselves in the Bioscience division, Sole decides to cook for all of the scientists

·Mind you, this is the first time any of the scientists have had real home cooked meals

·They don’t want to go back to that gross, dehydrated stuff

·It becomes a regular thing that happens whenever the scientists have a free day

·Ayo, Oberly, and some synths help

·Ayo discovers his secret passion for cooking and is, surprisingly, really good. His skills rival Sole’s.

·They both exchange recipes and techniques, eventually making them a “Culinary team with no competition” as one scientist put it

·Sole is just happy to finally be able to act like a parent to Shuan. They also eventually end up treating the scientists like they’re their kids

·Ayo is like a dad to the coursers. He’s always sneaking them seconds because he knows how hard their job is

·Clayton Holdren is always correcting their food. “THAT DEATHCLAW IS SO RAW, IT STILL WANTS TO KILL YOU! I APPROVE OF ITS DESIRES!”

·A few other scientists tested out a theory and found out that Clayton is Gordon Ramsay’s great ×4 grandson.

·the news surprises no one

She has degrees in plant biology, genetics, and ecology, and she was pretty close to a breakthrough in her genetically modified crop research when she was unceremoniously ejected from the Institute minutes before it exploded.
