Dumb jokes from last night. lol

Yesterday, I was wondering which concept I should go for my Golden Deer propaganda poster. It was all dependent on how distinct the costume designs on their hands were. If they weren't recognizable enough, then I would have to go with the full body silhouette concept instead of the close-up of hands. So I looked up hksi1pin's height chart, so I could compare multiple character designs at once.

But then, seeing how short Edelgard was, the Edelcrit part of my brain kicked in and I just had to make fun of her. lol I guess teasing her is fun for me now. lol I thought, she's a "short stack", like pancakes. Then I remembered that "tall glass of water" is an idiom that could apply to Dimitri.

For Claude, I'm having trouble coming up with an idiom for someone of average height. I was thinking of "short king", since Claude becomes king of Almyra. But he's not short. He's average height. So if I can't think of some food-based idiom about heights, that fits Claude, then I might have to just draw him as a cafe waiter, holding plates of short-stack Edelgard pancakes and tall glass of Dimitri water.

Happy Dimiclaude Day!💐💐💐💐

Celebrating June 30, the equivalent date in FE3H Azure Moon route, when Dimitri rescued Claude at Derdriu.

6/30/2023. Clamp light used on tripod as fill light, in addition to phone camera's flash lighting. Roses used to cover figure support bases, but also to imply a rosy/romantic perception. I'm reluctantly trying to return to a habit of putting my watermark logo in the corner, after recently, when one of my older figure photos got broadly spread around without attribution. Used Krita to digitally erase some dust fibers from Claude.

4/20/2023. Pencil sketch, inked with Stabilo 88 pens, Copic Multiliner 0.25 & 0.03 pens, and Daiso brush pen. Colored with Copic markers. Some fixes in Krita.

Messed up lines for Dimitri's and wyvern's mouths, a bit. Their pencil versions weren't originally such sharply angled arcs. I hope it's ok. I'm still trying to learn to be ok with my inking not being exactly like my pencil lines. Seeing other people post vids of their inking not perfectly, exactly aligning with their sketch lines, has really been helping me vs my perfectionism.

I intended to just do a quick sketch, so I'd have time to continue practicing digital drawing. But I started my sketch with pencil, so I had to ink linework, and that gets complicated. So, no digital drawing practice tonight. ^.^;;;;

But I feel much better drawing traditionally, than just getting super frustrated with learning digital drawing again. So maybe I let this get complicated to make up for yesterday's lack of feeling like I was drawing, because I could barely do anything in Krita yesterday.

MerMay 2023, day 9. More chibi Dimiclaude mers, but in watercolors and teacups.

5/12/2023. Pencil and Daiso Water Colors. Cleaned up background and brightened Saturation in Krita.

Still practicing watercolors, so tried doing my final linework as only pencil. Sometimes I wonder if the softness of pencil fits better with watercolors. I still want to differentiate my watercolors from my marker/ink drawings. So I tried some wet-on-wet techniques and allowed a lot of messy imperfections.

But maybe I colored Claude's scales too high up his torso.

Still referencing the same glass teacup, I've had on my desk since drawing my "dragons and tea" set.

New Twitter banner with my OTPs.

Since I don't have a DIY custom Nendoroid version of Claude's FE3H suit/outfit, I have him in a gold tuxedo, since his FE3H outfit is yellowish. In order to make Claude blend in, I realized I could dress all the characters in this photoshoot formally. I almost dressed Yukimura in a "Nendoroid More: Dress Up Coming of Age Ceremony Hakama" since it was red and I have a headcanon where Yukimura gravitates towards traditional Japanese styles even in modern AUs. But I decided it would better help Claude blend in if everyone was dressed the same, in tuxedos.

Dimiclaude modern AU, with toddler Alfred.

This is that headcanon I mentioned earlier (https://mysticdragon3md3.tumblr.com/post/709710025757753344/oh-no-got-2-dmcl-au-headcanons-running-in-my-head), with trans Dimitri and Alfred from Fire Emblem Engage as Claude's and Dimitri's child.

But thanks to Dimioselletria / @dmclemblems for the idea of Alfred and Law as Dimitri's and Claude's kids, in the first place.

Maybe when I look into Tales of Arise and get a sense of Law's character, I'll doodle some headcanons of him as Alfred's sibling. But as the older or younger sibling is the question...?
