You have always been off the grid as chris’ girlfriend. All your social medias was private other than the fact that chris now had millions of followers digging into your daily lives. You both met back in college in your english class and started off as friends for the 4 years and he finally had the courage to ask you out at graduation. Ever since, y’all have been inseparable. He would bring you up in any conversation, post you on his instagram, being you to set. He was the best person you have ever met.
With chris getting a huge role in the show The Summer I Turned Pretty, you knew people would try and get in between y’all’s relationship. Since the fans couldn’t reach you, they would comment things on chris’ instagram just for you. But it never crossed chris’ mind that he would ever lose you, he would always talk about you no matter what no matter where.
And now season 2 has been filmed and now the first few episodes have been released, it was time for the cast to film some promo videos and production boosts for the fans. Chris brought you along for the day so you sat backstage in almost every video just smiling at the cast but mostly your boyfriend. You watched as they went through the truths and dared having a dance battle to eating horseradish. It was now chris turn to go and he picked out a truth.
“kiss sean kaufman again.” you rolled your eyes playfully
“again.” sean said jokingly “guys who put that one again.” and the whole cast started talking over each other
“nah, it’s what it said.” chris shows the paper around but too fast for anyone to see “look at it. it’s what it said.”
“one day it’s actually going to say kiss sean.” lola said before chris cleared his throat and read the paper
“besides your phone, what is the one item in your house you couldn’t live without.” you knew the answer instantly it was Aquaphor it’s what he cared almost as much as he cared about you, you introduced it to him about a few years ago and he hasn’t stopped using it since
“aquaphor,” gavin said before anyone
“aquaphor.” chris reached into his coat jacket and pulled out the tiny bottle you bought him last week “i’m on it because of my girlfriend.” he glanced at you before looking at the bottle and opened it “it’s the best things that’s ever happened to me… um.. besides.. my girlfriend.” he guested towards you and your cheeks instantly filled with heat as the cast looked at you “her introducing me to aquaphor.” he rubbed some on his lips
“she’s blushing!” lola pointed towards you and you laughed messing with your rings on your finger out of nervousness and chris gave you an apologetic look knowing you don’t like a lot of attention
After the interview was over you went into the back room where the cast was and sat down before their next interview. You sat on the couch drinking a lemonade while the cast talked around you. Sometime you didn’t like being here, you felt out of place sometimes.
“hey girly.” lola sat down next to you. you and lola have became very close friends despite all the rumors saying you hated her for kissing your boyfriend when it was all acting for a tv show
“hey, you ready for the next interview?” you turned towards her slightly
“yeah but my bed is really calling my name right now.” she sighed taking a sip of her water
“chris has mixed feelings about the interviews, he never wants to say anything wrong he really gets into his head about it. plus these are your last interviews before the strike happens so.”
“yeah it honestly sucks that we have to do this but it’s worth it, it’s also stopping us from telling the fans about season 3 too. we can’t promote anything.”
“it will be worth it in the end.” you smiled at her and a body fell next to you, glancing to your side you saw chris sipping on water too “hey you.” he smiled tipping his head to kiss the side of your forehead
“tired.” he whispered
“we’ll go home soon enough.” you leaned into his side and he wrapped an arm around you
“sorry i mentioned you with the aquaphor, it’s just really important to me and you kinda slipped out.”
“shush, it’s okay i want people to know you love the product more than me.” you nudged him with your shoulder
“hey that’s not true!”
“sure sure, anyone on the cast can tell you otherwise baby.” he shook his head playfully at you and brought you in closer to him
He was lucky to have you by his side in this major point in his life. He would never choose anyone other than you to be with him right here right now.

Just Friends (part 3)
Part 1  Part 2  Part 4
Pairing: Conrad Fisher x Reader
Summary: After conflict with Conrad you try to go through the summer as normal but you both find it increasingly difficult.
It’s been two weeks since the bonfire. You wish you could say that everything went back to normal the next day but it didn’t. Everything was far from normal. You tried your best to act like nothing happened, to pretend that you didn’t care about what Conrad said.
You two avoided each other like the plague. Everyone noticed. How could they not? You and Conrad used to be attached to the hip whenever you were here at Cousins and now your guys can’t even look at each other.
Nobody asks about it though, sometimes your moms will give you questioning looks or just ask if something’s wrong. You never said anything though, just shook your head no every time.
It was awful, ignoring Conrad. It was awful being apart from Conrad. As much as you loved spending time with everyone else, your heart longed to be next to Conrad all the time.
At dinner you still sat across from each other, having designated seating since forever. It made meals incredibly awkward for you, looking anywhere but straight ahead. Sometimes you’d feel his eyes on you but you would never look back.
You couldn’t give him the satisfaction.
You wouldn’t give him the satisfaction.
What made things even worse was Conrad constantly had Nicole over whenever everyone would hang out. You wouldn’t mind normally, besides the fact that they would show an ungodly amount of PDA. You wish it didn’t other you. You wish you didn’t care about Conrad the way that you do.
“Y/n! We’re getting ready to leave, are you ready?” Your mom knocked on your door.
Belly had deb practice, Jere, Steven and John were all working at the country club and Conrad was who knows where. So you were left to go into town with the moms.
Spending time with the moms wasn’t too bad. The guys hated going out with the moms because they just sat in chairs waiting for them to be finished shopping. But you didn’t mind, mostly because they would buy you things too if you tagged along
“Oh this is beautiful! I think Belly would like it for the deb picnic?” Your mom pulled a dress off the rack. Laurel scrunched her nose and shook her head. She wasn’t too keen on Belly being a deb this year, you think she just isn’t ready to see Belly grow up.
“I think that would be a great idea!” Susannah smiled, inspecting the dress.
“You know.. I’m still bummed I didn’t get to see you be a deb.” Susannah whispered to you.
You tried to disguise your sadness with a smile.
“Always wanted to see in a big white dress with your hair and make up all done.” She laughed. “I was certain you would go and have Connie as your escort.” She continued to say, making your heart incredibly sad.
“Yeah.. That’s alright though.” You shrugged it off with a small laugh. “Maybe we’ll convince Jere to take Belly.” You smiled but she instantly shook her head no.
“Oh no no, I think she’ll ask John.” She wiggled her eyebrows making your face scrunch.
“John? As in my brother John??”
“Oh please. Don’t tell me you haven’t noticed the two of them these past two weeks. They’re bound to happen.” She shrugged with a smirk on her face.
“Kinda like you and Connie.” She whispered mischievously before scurrying off to catch up with the other moms. You were left speechless.
If only she knew.
They ended up getting the dress for Belly along with 4 other dresses for you guys because Susannah insisted that everyone go to the picnic to support Belly.
Your next stop was at the Country Club. You’re not really sure why but Susannah said they had business to take care of. You’re pretty sure they just wanted free drinks.
So the moms wandered off, leaving you to wander the premises by yourself. After about 10 minutes of you walking around aimlessly you settled down on a table outside by the pool, facing the ocean.
The constant chatter of kids and parents surrounded you. You had no idea how long you were going to be here and you wished you would’ve brought a book or something.
Your phone buzzed on the table.
Susannah: Laurel forgot she has a book signing at the shop! We had to leave ASAP. But don’t worry, I told Conrad to go pick you up.. :)
Your eyes widened at the text. You’d rather walk home than have to ride with Conrad.
You searched the pool area, hoping to see Jeremiah. Maybe you could take his car home and he can catch a ride with Steven home.
“John!” You shouted, seeing your brother sat on the life guard post. “Where’s Jeremiah?”
“He went to go get the keys to the chemical closet! Pretty sure he’s where the debs are practicing their dance!” He hollered back.
You stood from your spot, walking to the other side of the facility to the ballroom.
Sure enough, Jeremiah crashed the deb’s dance practice. You giggled as he danced against Belly, the instructors face was very disturbed.
“Alexa off. Jeremiah Fisher, what are you doing here?”
“Code brown. We lost the keys to the chemical closet.” He shrugged his shoulders, with an innocent smile on his face. She tossed him the keys and pointed to the door.
“Y/n! What are you doing here?” He smiled when he saw you on the other side of the door.
“The moms left me stranded.” You chuckled with a small eye roll. “Do you think I could take your car home and you ride with Steven later?” You raised an eyebrow with a hopeful smile. Please say yes.
“Oh sure! Keys are in my locker, let’s go.” He linked his arm in yours and you both turned towards the door.
Only to be met with Conrad himself.
“That’s okay. Mom sent me to come get her.” He gestured towards me, then dropping his hands awkwardly at his sides.
“Alright then.” Jeremiah patted your back. “I better go before I get fired. The poop awaits!” He laughed before running past Conrad and out the door.
Fuck.
“Hey.” Conrad offered you a tight lipped smile. You sighed and walked past him out the door.
You were silent the whole walk to the car, contemplating getting into his back seat just to avoid having to sit next to him. You didn’t though, Conrad opened the passenger door for you, letting you slide in before closing it and going to the driver’s side.
Your heart was beating stupidly fast. It’s been 2 weeks since you’ve been alone with Conrad in general.
He didn’t start the car when he got in, you both just sat in silence for a moment.
“Y/n..” His voice was soft. It took every bone in your body not to immediately turn to look at him. You stayed still, eyes forward. It wasn’t until his hand reached across the console, resting on your knee that your body jerked alive.
Your head whipped in his direction, the small physical contact shocking your body.
“I- I don’t like how things have been..” His eyes were stuck on yours. “I was a jerk to you.. I don’t have any reason or excuses. I’m sorry.” He shook his head. “Summer is supposed to be fun for everyone and I started it off poorly.”
You nodded your head, agreeing with every single word he was saying.
“I don’t want us to keep ignoring each other.” He frowned. You were annoyed to say the least, Conrad was the one that gave you the cold shoulder first. The day after the bonfire he wouldn’t look at you, barely said a word to you
“And who’s fault is that?” You retorted.
“I know. It’s mine and I’m sorry. Let me make it up to you please.. You’re my best friend y/n.” He pleaded with you, his hand squeezed your knee slightly, sending shivers down your spine. Your body softened and you knew you were done for. You couldn’t stay mad when he was looking at you with those sad eyes.
“Okay..” You gave in too quickly for your liking. He smiled, reaching over the console and wrapping his arms around you in a hug.
“You know you can talk to me though, Con..” You whispered in his ears. “I’m serious.” He pulled back and nodded slowly.
“I know.” He nodded with a small smile. “Come on, let’s go home and watch a movie while everyone’s still out.” He smiled mischievously while pulling out of the parking lot.
Were you completely over what happened the night of the bonfire? No. It still bothered you, but you knew that if you didn’t move on and at least try to fix things with Conrad the summer would be brutally slow and painful.
The drive back to the house was short but it was probably because the two of you talked the whole way home. Having not talked at all for the past 2 weeks, there seemed to be a lot both of you wanted to say. It felt normal again.
There were still a lot of things that needed to be resolved between the two of you. But at this moment, you didn’t care. You weren’t thinking about Nicole, you weren’t thinking about your little argument.
You weren’t thinking about the rest of the summer or what could possibly happen next.
It was just Conrad.
It’ll always be Conrad.
Part 4 soon..

a/n: been wanting to write this for a while so BOOM here it is, sooo excited for season two, also im in a deep dylan obrien depression i need help :p ALSO sorry like all my fics are in different styles at the start i'm experimenting atm!
You and Conrad Fisher had known each other since you had popped out of the womb nineteen years ago in the same hospital, only a floor and two hours keeping you apart.
Your moms had been friends since rooming at college and so your friendship, some might say, had been written in the stars quite literally. Fate.
Things had started to change on your sixteenth birthday. It was just before the annual summer reunion, and of course, you and your mom had gone down just one week earlier in order to have a joint birthday celebration with the Fishers and stayed until the Conklin's arrived.
You had hit puberty and he hadn't seen you since the big change but when he did, his eyes could've fell from his skull. It was almost comedic. Of course at the time his stares meant little to you. He was your best friend after all.
Until last year. It was the start of summer bonfire and all was normal. Belly was at home, Jeremiah was off talking to girls with Steven which left you and Conrad. You found it strange he didn't have the same interest in girls as Steven and Jeremiah but who were you to say anything. You wanted him to stay.
Long story short he finally made a move and a kiss began in the abandoned life-guard tower a couple feet away from the main event, it was all going well, almost too well. And you were proven correct when Steven and Jeremiah came down the beach looking for you and found you in that very compromising position.
Seeing as they weren't exactly in a place to talk they agreed to keep it a secret and so it became the new norm for them, seeing the two of you together while your mom, Susannah, Laurel and Belly were non the wiser.
Tumblr media
The bonfire was in full-swing, Summer had officially begun and what better way to start it than in the lap of Conrad Fisher on Cousins Beach.
He was sat cross legged on the blanket you'd brought from the house, while you sat atop him, legs either side of his own.
"I just think we should be nicer to her, I mean that was us three years ago." You sighed, you'd had a beer or two and were feeling increasingly guilty about the disallowance of Belly to come tonight.
"None of us were allowed out at sixteen, it's only fair." Conrad replied, voice low and relaxed. Something you appreciated about him, he was a very soothing person.
"Yeah, but that's different! We all had each other and now-" You began but he cut you off with a groan.
"Can we please not talk about Belly when your sat on me?" He said, smile gracing his lips.
You began to 'ew' and berate him but were soon cut off by his lips on yours, one of his hands holding your jaw in place while the other sat comfortably on the upper part of your thigh.
It didn't take much for you to open up, his tongue instantly hitting against yours as he deepened the kiss. When your mouths disconnected, it made a sound which made your head go light and airy.
"Do you still feel bad?" He whispered. Hand moving up to put a stray piece of hair behind your ear.
"No." You answered, shooting forward to connect your lips once more. He chuckled into the kiss, teeth clashing together but you didn't care you just wanted him.
His spare hand slowly and nonchalantly drifted to the hem of your shorts, groping your ass gently, you were still in public after all and Conrad wanted to be able to say he had an ounce of class and respect. Even if it was a lie.
A disruption to the left of you and Conrad caught your attention and you went to turn your head, lips still interlocked but he denied that, hand on your jaw tightening and turning your head back to look at him.
The final straw was a resounding 'Ooh' from the crowd and you decided no matter what he did you were going to see what was happening.
Finally turning your head you found Belly. On the floor. And looking directly at you. A lot was wrong with that.
"Shit, Conrad." You said, which finally got his face away from placing delicate kisses across your jaw and to see the same thing as you. His face also dropping.
"Belly?" He said, unable to stop himself in disbelief.
Really this would've been the right time to get out of his lap but you were frozen in fear, forgetting you were sat there in the first place.
"I thought me and Y/N were like your sisters." She said, anger painted on her face. You didn't like confrontation in the first place and so saying something was hard but you couldn't let Belly think badly of you or Conrad.
"Belly look- it's different-" You defended, but she once again cut you off in anger and while your throat tightened in anxiety, you felt Conrad's hand soothe over your back. Reassuring and subtle.
"Different? I know him just as well as you do. It's not different." She seethed. Stepping closer to the two of you.
"Belly, c'mon you know what I mean." You whispered unintentionally. Your eyes were going glassy, feeling looks from all around you. Some in agreeance with you, some with her but none knew the full story.
"We've been together since last year. It was after you left to take Steven to look at Colleges." Conrad stepped in while Belly processed. Preventing another dig at you.
"I thought you weren't ready for a relationship and that, may I remind you again, we're like sisters to you?" Belly replied.
"I didn't-" Conrad started though a hurt look from you cut him off. "Look I said that like two years ago, it isn't even relevant anymore. Clearly." He said. Eyes connecting with you to reassure you, not her.
"You're such a brat." He added, seeing the affect her words had on you.
"Well you're an asshole." Belly yelled back, all while you sat stunned and quiet.
"Belly! You came, great, we can all hang out." Jeremiah said enthusiastically running over. You appreciated his intervention, as obvious as it was that he was trying to distract her.
"I'm about to take her home." Steven cut him off.
"What?" Jeremiah said, confused. Though the situation was bad she was old enough to be out past ten pm. Whether Steven liked it or not.
"Yeah, we're leaving, are you kidding me?" Steven replied as if it was obvious. Grabbing her hand.
"Ok, Steven come on. Go hang out with Shayla or something." Jeremiah answered and you couldn't help but admire the boy and his love for Belly.
You tore your eyes away from the conversation above you as they dispersed, looking back at Conrad who was sighing and pushing hair from his face.
"It'll be okay." You said, knowing what he needed without having to ask.
"I know." He smiled gently, though his eyes didn't fully match. He was worried, and you couldn't blame him.
Belly knew, and worst of all, just five months ago she had confided in you about her crush on Conrad and so it was unclear if she would ever even speak to you again.
Guilt was swallowing you whole.

conrad fisher + adhd!reader if you would please
your wish is my command <3
i have a couple of different scenarios in my head for this one, so if you were looking for something a bit different, then feel free to ask for a specific scenario 💓💓i also did a bunch of research on this because i don't have adhd, so if i didn't do it justice i apologize.
Tumblr media
"baby?" your boyfriends voice interrupted your thoughts. you had been sitting at your laptop doing work for your pshych class for what felt like forever, but it was only a few hours. "i think it's time for a break. i can get you some food, if you'd like?" he questioned.
you sighed when you lost your train of thought. you had just figured out what the next sentence was going to be, and then conrad interrupted you. "no, connie. if i stop now, i won't start again," you whined, turning in your chair to face him.
conrad always knew when you were overworking yourself. whether it was chores or schoolwork, he always knew when you needed a break. "you will, pretty. we just need to give it a break for tonight, alright?" he asked, but it was more rhetorical than anything else.
you knew there was no use in putting up a fight. there was no way that he was just going to let you keep working, not when you hadn't gotten up in a few hours. "okay." you reluctantly agreed, standing up from your chair and stretching your limbs out.
conrad smiled, "want to go to the coffee place and get something to eat and drink?" he offered.
you shook your head, "im not hungry."
"being as i haven't seen you eat anything today, i don't care if you're hungry or not," he spoke lightheartedly (is that a word?), but you knew he was serious.
you rolled your eyes but gave in anyway. "okay. can we at least get- hey is that my bracelet? i thought i lost it." you cut yourself off when you noticed the black strong with a metal wave hanging off of his wrist.
he looked as if he didn't even know he was wearing it, "oh. yeah, baby, im sorry. i must've picked it up for you and forgot to give it back," he apologized, quickly tamkng it off and assisting you in slipping it back onto your wrist. "now, what were you saying? can we at least get...?"

perfect
Tumblr media
pairing: conrad fisher x fem!reader
summary: conrad comforts you after a fight with your mom
warnings: angst and family issues, but there’s fluff of course
Tumblr media
the day started off good with everyone excited to celebrate one of susannah’s favorite holidays. susannah’s excitement filling the house as you and your childhood best friends joked around and laughed together as the day went on.
then conrad and jeremiah’s dad showed up which made it very awkward for everyone.
but it slowly became okay again when all of the teenagers went to hang out at the beach. drinking and playing a bunch of different games together.
you guys headed back to the house after a couple of hours and everything seemed alright until it came time to cut the cake.
belly had a little too much to drink and tripped and fell into susannah. breaking one of her dishes and completely destroying the cake.
as belly’s dad helped her into the house and laurel helped calm susannah, your mom turned to you. she immediately put the blame on you. blaming you for not watching belly and letting her get so messed up.
you tried defending yourself, but it was no use. she always expected you to watch over belly and jeremiah seeing as you were right under conrad and your sister.
she did this a lot. comparing you to your sister. your sister stayed with the adults whenever you guys went to the beach, so to your mom, it was automatically your fault. she yelled at you saying how if your sister were there, none of this would’ve happened.
she didn’t even let you get a word out before she stormed into the house slamming the door behind her.
that was how you ended up sitting by the water with tears streaming down your face.
unbeknownst to you, conrad had been looking for you for hours. asking everyone where you could’ve been and no one actually having any answers. he called and texted you multiple times, but got no response.
the last place he decided to check was the beach. he actually dreaded it seeing as there were gonna be multiple parties going on, but he did anyway. he had to make sure you were okay.
he had been walking the beach for almost thirty minutes when his eyes landed on a figure sitting by the water. he slowly approached you as he didn’t know if it was actually you.
“y/n ?” he asks. his heart drops when you turned toward him. “i’ve been looking all over for you. are you okay ?”
you look back toward the water as he sits beside you. “i’m fine.”
“y/n, you’re crying.” he says just as you wipe under your eyes, “what’s wrong ?”
it goes silent as you hesitate to answer. while on one hand you wanted to rant to conrad about what’s been going on with your mom and sister, you didn’t want to burden others with what you thought were petty sibling problems.
conrad watches you as he waits for you to speak up. he could tell by your facial expression that you were debating with yourself on whether or not you wanted to talk.
his eyes don’t leave you as you look up toward the water.
“my mom…” you pause. you sigh as you close your eyes, “it’s like i’m never good enough for her.”
conrad furrows his brows as you sniffle, “she’s always comparing me to my sister. anything i do, she does better. even today when belly tripped and fell into susannah, i was blamed for it when it had nothing to do with me.”
you didn’t know it, but conrad had gone through the same thing. his dad blaming him for not being responsible and stopping belly from drinking.
“but she would’ve stopped belly from drinking and the night would’ve went on fine.” you chuckle humorlessly, “i’m never good enough for her.”
it goes silent again as you take a deep breath. you hug your knees closer to your chest.
“if it means anything, i like you a lot more than i do her.” he says. you can’t help, but chuckle which brings a smile to his face, “i know it’s hard, but don’t listen to your mom. your sister isn’t all perfect like she thinks. no one is.”
“my mom thinks so.”
“i don’t.” he says shaking his head, “you’re amazing just as you are y/n/n.”
you look toward him to find his eyes already on you. as you look in eyes, you search for any sign of pity. it’s the look you usually get from others whenever they overhear your mom. but you couldn’t find any.
conrad was being genuine. which you never thought that he was anything but.
to you, no one ever truly cared or tried to understand how you felt. never feeling like you were doing enough for the people you loved. never feeling good enough.
but if anyone understood you, it was conrad.
“i get exactly how you feel. when you think you’re not good enough or when you feel like you should be doing more.” he nods, “trust me. i get it.”
your eyes search his face as he continues, “but you’re perfect to me. if your mom can’t see how amazing you are, then she doesn’t deserve to.”
your eyebrows pinch together as you take in what he says. a small smile takes over your features, “i thought you said no one was perfect ?”
he chuckles, “i did, but to me you are. you’re everything i think about when i think of perfect.”
your face softens as he looks at you. really looks at you.
“what does that mean, connie ?” you say softly
“exactly what i said.” he says, “you’re perfect.”
your heart skips as a comfortable silence falls over the two of you. conrad has always been someone significant in your life. ever since you were kids when you would play in the pool and steven would swim around pretending to be a shark and conrad would come save you.
when you were kids and he taught you how to surf since jeremiah and steven would make fun of you for not knowing how.
when summer would roll around and conrad was the first person who would hug you whenever you got out of the car.
conrad was always there.
he notices you lost in thought even as you stare directly at him. so, he takes the chance sitting right in front of him.
you blink rapidly as you notice conrad coming closer. he’s slow enough incase you decide otherwise, but you knew you wouldn’t.
your eyelashes flutter closed as he finally places his lips on yours. the kiss is soft, but the butterflies erupting in your stomach couldn’t be denied. your heart beats in your ears as he pulls away.
his eyes on your lips as he doesn’t go far. you look in his eyes and notice how they’ve changed.
admiration swarm through them as the two of you take in each other’s comfort. but he notices how quickly your mood diminishes.
“what’s wrong ?”
“i don’t want to go back yet.” you mumble
he smiles, “we don’t have to. i’ll stay here with you as long as you want me to.”
conrad’s smile seemed to be infectious as you begin to smile. you nod softly as you stare back at him.
you two stayed out there for hours. watching the waves crash as the stars came out.

take care of you.

about. conrad tries to get to the bottom as to why you were ditched to soak in the rain.
Tumblr media
warnings. foul language
ricky rocks. hey requesters :):):):):):):):)
“yeah?”
“connie?”
oh, fuck me.
conrad internally swore at the sound of your sweet voice dipped in distress and pain. he could already so clearly hear it with the sound of his name, he can feel it.
conrad sits himself down at the edge of his bed, almost as if preparing himself for this conversation, “what’s wrong, y/n/n?”
you close your eyes tightly at his hard but concerned voice, almost regretting making this call, but you push the lump in your throat, speaking, “i-uh, can you come pick me up?”
“why can’t you have steven or jere-“
“i don’t-i can’t. i’m not around them right now, connie,” you anxiously clutched the front fabric of your sundress, completely soaked in lake water as well as the on coming rain that was slowly setting in, painting your skin even colder. “please, conrad.”
he agreed, of course he agreed. it’s just, would he be in such an agreeing mood when he realized how wet it was outside, or how drenched you were?
he was, he felt absolutely horrible for you; seeing you left practically stranded on the side of the road with your hair clinging to the side of your face as well as your clothes sticking to your like glue as more and more rain poured down on you.
“where is jeremiah and steven?” his voice was stern as he looked you over again and again, still not getting over what a sad puppy you looked like. it didn’t sit well in his stomach, not at all, whatever was going on, it upset him a lot.
“it doesn’t matter, conrad,” you clutched yourself, trying to gather warmth as you were now sat in his passenger seat with the heat on high, “let’s just go.”
he looked at you, not convinced. it took everything in him not to pry, thinking it over and over, wondering how could they just ditch you in the pouring rain all by yourself practically in the middle of fucking no where. how?
he had to let it go. but it was still all he could think about.
“we need to get you out of those clothes,” first thing he said once you got home and you shamefully followed him to his room where he was quick to dig in his drawers for spare clothes he could give you—even as your room was just down the hall.
“connie,” he tossed you one of his tee shirts and a pair of stripped boxer shorts, not listening to your sounds of protests. “i’m alright now.”
he doesn’t believe it. he watches you carefully as you hold the clothes in a ball to your chest, starring back at him, and he just doesn’t believe it. your eyes were sad to the core and your whole body language screamed distraught. you weren’t alright.
“just change, unless you want me to do it for you.”
your body heats up at his words. he doesn’t even seem fazed, but you don’t expected anything less from him.
after you exit his room to the bathroom, connie falls on his bed, sighing as he thinks about the next morning and how he will be scolding, if not beating the fuck out of steven and jeremiah if they don’t have a good excuse.
this was the exact reason why conrad didn’t enjoy you going out alone or even without him to watch—as much as he hated to say that. he hated to care so much, but it was hard not to.
“you gonna tell me what happened tonight?”
“no?”
“wrong answer.”
you winced but still slowly made your way to the other side of conrad’s bed, slipping into it beside him as he still stared at the ceiling thinking. you hated doing this to him, being such a general burden on him, but he was honestly one of the only people you knew who would show up for you.
he would always show up, no matter the circumstance.
“jere and steven thought it’d be a fun idea to meet up with some guys that they had met before at a party and to just fuck around up at the lake… which was fine, i didn’t really care,” you paused, clasping the back of your neck while staring at your lap from the crisscross sitting position you were in on his bed. he watched you, sitting up straight now on the edge of the bed, waiting for your to continue.
“it was fun, fine, until we were on the dock and um, one of them ended up pushing me in and they were all laughing and y’know…” you coughed awkwardly and conrad frowned hard, the image of it playing in his head. “they ditched me after i guess, convinced steven and jeremiah that i wasn’t any fun, so they just left.”
what the fuck.
he continued to stare at the side of your face as your eyes were perfectly trained on his white sheets, not saying anything, letting the story sink in. you waited for him to say something, but you weren’t surprised when he didn’t.
that was one of the dumbest things conrad had probably heard. with the whole thing could have been easily avoided if his brother wasn’t such a dumbass and used basic sensibility—conrad cut his thoughts off, rubbing his face before moving fully onto his bed, his arm pulling on yours to lay down next to him.
he didn’t know what to say—he didn’t know what to say without sounding over aggressive or like an asshole, so he kept his mouth shut and let the only sound of your breathing fill the air.
you found it unbearable. always.
“are you mad that i called you?”
he looked over to you, narrowing his brows, confused on why you would ask, “why?”
“you wanted to stay in tonight,” you rolled to your side, looking up to him as you were still pressed very closely to him. “i feel bad-“
“don’t,” he shook his head, confused as to why you would feel bad in this situation. “you had a long night, y/n. you shouldn’t feel sorry about anything.”
you didn’t say anything more. there wasn’t anything more to say and you almost felt content enough as you pressed yourself further into conrad’s side, allowing his warmth to consume your body. he pursed his lips, not feeling content at all, but allowing this moment to be enough.
he allowed himself to let sleep come upon him with you pulled close to his side, and even if he wasn’t content with the outcomes of the night, he was satisfied that you were finally safe with him.

cuddles / conrad fisher
warnings: mentions of food.
word count: 633.
— imagine conrad being really clingy towards you . . .
Tumblr media
conrad has been your boyfriend for about a year now. he loves to constantly be around you and loves when you're in his personal space, but he tries his best not to show you how clingy he really is.
one time when you went away for a weekend on a camping trip with some of your best friends and he felt like it was a lifetime before you returned to his arms. he always needs you to be his space, and where you aren't around he doesn't know how to act.
this summer you started working a job at the county club with jeremiah and steven. during your work day, conrad would try to distract himself by going sailing, surfing and sometimes just cleaning. today he was going to be picking you up after work. when you stepped outside you saw his red jeep in the parking lot. you can see his eyes closed with his head swaying up and down and side to side. you knock on the passenger side window, he opens his eyes and looks to his left, gives a giant smile and unlocks the door. you open the door and get into the seat.
"hello my love, how was your day?" he asked putting his hand on your thigh.
"it was good. jeremiah was arguing with his enemy again today, you can't have a bad day if you get the opportunity to watch that go down." you laugh.
he laughs and shakes his head, "that little kid really bothers him. jeremiah is convinced that billy was born only for the reason to make him miserable."
"oh my god, i think jeremiah is just paranoid. so how was your day cutie."
he blushes at the nickname and chuckles, "it was okay, i just missed you so much. it seems like we never have time for just us anymore." he pouts, putting the jeep in drive.
"well, in that case, i'll spend my entire evening with you."
"you promise you won't even leave my sight?" he asks, driving to his house.
"but what if i need to use the washroom?"
he looks over at you and smirks. you return the look with a shocked expression, you lightly smack his arm.
5 minutes later . . .
he pulls into the driveway and shuts the engine off. you both open the door of the jeep and step out. he rushes over to you and lifts you off the ground. you laugh at his sudden movements. he carries you bridal style in his arms and runs in the house with you.
he plops you on the couch, "okay y/n, it's time to have the most amazing evening together." he announces proudly, hands resting on his hips, "what can i get you milady?"
"well good sir, *your favourite snack*, would be excellent please."
"one of *your favourite snack* coming right up." he pokes one finger dramatically in the air.
he rushes back into the living room a minute after with two bowls full of *your favourite snack*. he hands you a bowl, "why thank you, kind sir." you lean over to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. he smiles at your touch. he finds something on the tv to put on for the both of you.
you lean back so you're resting against his chest. he runs his fingers through your hair, "you're my favourite thing in this entire world y/n y/l/n."
"likewise conrad fisher."
you both fall asleep in each other's arms, the sound of the tv quietly on in the background.

catch up here
Mallory’s name flashes on the screen over a picture of her smiling, red-faced and blurry. Her hair is plastered to her face with sweat and she was holding up a beer. I remember taking the photo our sophomore year. It was our first high school party and she went a little overboard but I remember thinking how pretty she looked, even as completely wasted as she was. “Hello?” I pick up. Mallory always texted me before she called, mostly because she hated being on the phone and tried to avoid it and I know something is wrong as soon as she speaks.
“Hey,” she sings softly. “How’s it going?”
“Hey,” she sings softly. “How’s it going?”
“What’s wrong?” I sit up, scooting my butt all the way to the back of the lounge chair. Belly, who was absent-mindedly watching the boys in the water is now fully alert to me. I can feel her eyes watching me.
“Oh nothing,” she dismisses. I can almost see her waving me off like she always did. “Just wondering if you found your new summer beau yet.”
“Why?” I ask cautiously. Mallory laughs and I can hear some people chatting in the background, although I can’t really make it out. “Where are you?”
“I’m at the pool with the girls,” she says. The girls meaning Victoria and Betty who we have been friends with since middle school. It has always been Mallory and I, but the girls were always good to have around but if Tori and Betty were around that means Josh and his friends were around and that made my stomach drop.
“Is Josh there?” I ask. Now, Belly’s eyebrows shot up and she mouths Josh? I nod my head as Mallory confirms over the phone. “What happened? Why are you calling?”
She’s silent on the other side and I wait for her to speak. I hear Josh’s laugh in the background and I want to throw up. I could recognize that laugh anywhere. It could wake me out of the deepest sleep. I could almost see him - head thrown back as a laugh escapes through his teeth. How his curly hair falls back against his forehead. I shut my eyes to try and get rid of the image. “He’s been seeing someone,” she finally whispers. “Her name is-”
“I don’t want to know her name,” I snap at her without meaning to. Belly’s eyes widen even more if that’s possible and the boys stop throwing their volleyball around and they’re all staring at me. Everything is quiet except for my heavy breathing. “How long?”
“I don’t know,” she says. “Since you left, I think.”
“Well, you can tell Josh that I’ve been seeing someone, too.” I don’t know why I lie. I never lie to Mallory and everyone sitting around me knows it’s not true but I still say it. I still confirm it when Mallory asks me really?
“Who are you hooking up with?” Belly whispers next to me, her hands are already on the arm rest of my chair and she’s ready to shake the answer out of me. I shake my head at her with narrow eyes and she seems disappointed as she leans back in her own chair, arms crossed over her chest like a little kid pouting.
“I gotta go, okay?” I tell Mallory as she’s blabbering on about Josh’s new girlfriend and how he’s only with her to make me jealous and not to worry. She says there’s no way she compares to you. I tell her thanks for letting me know and hang up the phone. “What are you all staring at?” I say to the boys as the door to the house slides closed. I didn’t even hear it open.
“Nothing,” Steven says, shaking his head vigorously. He throws the ball in the air and hits it to Jeremiah. “Nothing at all, yn.” The ball hitting the water next to Jeremiah knocks his attention away from me and he grabs it. “Come on, Jere.” I look down at my lap and start to hear the ball bouncing back and forth again. I no longer feel a bunch of eyes on me.
“What’s gotten into you?” Conrad asks from behind me. His hands are on the back of my chair and he’s leaning forward toward me with a smirk on his face. His voice is teasing but the energy in the air is tense. I can’t speak and I don’t know why.
“She just found out that Josh has a new girlfriend so she lied about having a new boyfriend just to seem even,” Belly says. I snap my head to her with widened eyes and she recoils in her chair. “Sorry, that’s what happened.”
“He’s an ass. Don’t let him get to you,” Conrad says. He’s trying to be nice and supportive and I can see that when I look at him but it just pisses me off so I stand up and push past him into the house. I can hear them all talking through the shut glass door but I ignore it. I ignore Laurel and Susannah calling after me in the kitchen and I ignore Laurel as she follows me to the base of the stairs. I shut the door to my bedroom and throw myself on the bed.
I stay in my room until it gets dark out. No one bothered me except Laurel asking me if I want dinner. When I told her no she said, “I heard about what happened today. Do you want to talk about it?” I told her no again and she sighed on the other side of the door but then disappeared for the rest of the night. When the sun goes down and the house gets quiet, I tip-toe out of my bedroom. All of the doors are shut and there’s not a single sound in the house. I turn on the lights in the kitchen and start raiding the kitchen. I could leave. Take Laurel’s car and go to the corner store that we stopped at on our way in and buy a bottle of vodka and drink the entire thing in the car but I don’t want to leave the house so I open all the bottom cabinets until I find some. The bottle feels heavy and expensive and I start to feel guilty but I unscrew the top anyway and drink from the mouth.
“Susannah would kill you if she found you.” I startle and the mouth misses my lips just a little bit getting a little vodka on my chin. I wipe it away as I turn around. Steven is standing in the doorway, leaning against the doorframe with a smirk on his face. He’s probably reveling in the fact that he’s not the most fucked up Conklin in the house. I can see him picturing my demise in his eyes as I look at him.
“Good thing she’s asleep, right?” I say. He shrugs and holds out his hand and I give him what he wants. “No plans tonight?”
He shakes his head before taking a drink from the bottle. “No one was really in the mood, I guess. Plus you’ve been MIA all day.”
“Wasn’t in the mood either.” I push myself up on the countertop, taking the bottle back when Steven hands it to me.
“Listen to me, yn. Josh is an idiot, you know? I’ve known him for years. I told Belly when you first started dating it was a bad idea but-”
“You did?” My heart rate picks up and Steven looks at me wide-eyed. “She never told me you said that.”
“She probably didn’t want to hurt your feelings. He’s just an asshole, okay? Always has been.” He’s being quiet, I assume so he doesn’t wake up the rest of the house but there’s also a hint of something else in his voice. Sadness, regret, pity. It makes my stomach churn.
“Why didn’t you say something to me? Instead of Belly? You let me get into a relationship with him for years and never said anything.” Steven shushes me and steps closer to where I’m sitting. “Don’t tell me to be uiet.”
“I didn’t tell you to be quiet but people are sleeping. Why are you so mad?” I shake my head and my hands tighten around the edge of the counter so hard my knuckles turn white. Steven looks at them and then looks away. “It’s not like he’s a serial cheater or something, he’s just a shitty guy sometimes. Always has been but he was good to you, at least he seemed to be from where I was standing.”
“He was good to me,” I state. I’m not sure how much I believe that. Deep down, I think I do but the memories of the last few months with Josh taint the bigger picture. All I see are his furious eyes as we fight about what to wear to senior prom instead of when they’re soft and he’s loving me. I hear his voice strained with guilt when he tells me that he wants to see other people instead of how he sounds when he first wakes up. I thought he was just being a teenage boy. Trying to get out of being tied down in his early twenties. Maybe he was telling me the truth. He wanted to see someone else. Whoever he has his arm around at the pool this summer. I hope she gets him to wear sunscreen because I never did. “He just didn’t want to go to Columbia, okay? It wasn’t that big of a deal.”
“So you broke up  because of college?” Steven sounds skeptical and I nod despite knowing he doesn’t believe me. “Then why is he already seeing someone else?”
“Do you have to bring that up?”
“It’s relevant, isn’t it?” We stare at each other. I can hear my own heart beating in my throat and I tell her to shut up but it doesn’t work.
“Was my whole relationship just a lie?” I whisper, my voice cracking. “Did he ever love me at all?” Before I start to cry, Steven closes the gap between us and he hugs me so tight that the sound of my heart gets muffled with the sound of his. He whispers in my ear telling me yes he did, I know he did but I don’t believe him. He tells me it’s okay. It’ll get better. I will find someone new. I think I’m really about to start crying when my phone rings. I reach for it and see his name on the caller ID. Steven sees it too and I try to ask him what to do with my eyes but he doesn’t know me like Belly does, so he doesn’t answer me.
“I’ll let you deal with that,” he says and leaves me alone in the kitchen. I grab the bottle of vodka and slide open my phone as I start up the stairs. Steven’s door closes just as I reach the top and I whisper a hello as I walk down the hall.
“Yn.” His voice verberates through my entire body. I feel like I’m watching myself instead of being inside of my own body. He always had that effect on me. “I heard Mallory called you.”
“She did.” The words didn’t seem to come out right at all. They get caught in my throat and come out all mangled but Josh doesn’t seem to react.
“She told me you were seeing someone.” There’s no noise in the background wherever he’s at and I picture him in his room with the curtains drawn and the only light coming from his gaming keyboard he spent way too much money on for the amount he uses it. I can see him laying on his bed, legs crossed and outstretched in front of him. I used to lay next to him, my head by his feet, as I read. He’d be on his phone or playing video games and his toes would tap my shoulder making me look back at him and he would blow me a kiss. I’d pretend to catch it and throw it in the pages. “To keep forever,” I would say. That memory aches at me now.
“She told me you were.” He clears his throat and I keep going. “Who is she? Do I know her?” I have to know her, right? She had to have went to school with us. Maybe it was Holly Eaton from our history class. She was always looking at him.
“It’s not important.”
“Is she going to community college with you?” The spite in my voice is hard to hide and I think Josh picks up on it because he lets out a breathy laugh.
“Who said I’m going to community college?”
“Well you’re not going to Columbia, are you?”
“And you are?” He snaps. “I heard you got wait-listed.” My heart stops like I’m riding in a car that comes to a sudden stop too close to the intersection and your entire body is jerked in and out of reality.
“Who told you that?” I say through my teeth. I only told one person that so that question seems irrelevant but I want him to say it. But he won’t. He just sighs.
“Yn, I didn’t call to fight.”
“Then why did you call?” I ask.
“Because if it’s true, if you’re really seeing someone-” I scoff. If it’s true. He pretends not to notice. “I just want him to treat you right, okay? I really did love you. I do love you. More than you know, I think. And if things had ended better, I would hope that we’d have found our way back to each other one day.” If things had ended better? I’m uiet. He ended things. He made them bad, didn’t he? Wasn’t it his fault? “I still think we might, you know? It was always you and me. I never doubted that. There’s just so much out there, yn. So much. You’ll thank me one day for this, I think.”
“Thank you? For what? Breaking my heart?” I want to be mad. I want to sound mad. I want to spit so much fire though the phone that it burns the beard he’d been trying to grow all year right off. But I don’t sound mad. I’m quiet and I realize I’m crying.
“No. For forcing you to get out of your comfort zone. I know you pretend to be big and tough and wild like your mom but you like to be safe in your bubble and that bubble was me. You deserve to know more.” He’s being sincere. I can hear it in his voice. I want to crawl in his bed under his covers and inhale his scent. I want him to love me again because I don’t know if I can ever stop loving him. “Her name is Kennedy and it’s not real. I lied. I was pretending in front of Mal.”
“You lied?”
“Mhm,” he hums. I can hear his smile. “Goodnight, yn. Have a good summer.” The line dies and starts to beep in my ear. I leave it there, the lingering of his voice in my ear because it’s all I have left besides my anger. But the anger is gone, isn’t it? I don’t feel it so heavy in my chest anymore. It’s more like a dull roar that’s leaving it’s mark in my body. In a deep hibernation. Until next time. But then I remember Columbia and Mallory and the beans being spilled so I remove the phone from the side of my head and I text her. Did you tell Josh about Columbia???
Being sad about Josh had been getting old. I spent too many nights in bed, crying. Mallory told me to just move on already but she didn’t know I had got rejected by Columbia that same week. She didn’t know the rejection letter was in the waste basket under my desk, rotting just like me. So I told her and her face softened once more and she let me wallow for a few more weeks until I started to look too rough maybe you should get up and shower and leave the house.
She’s the only person I ever told. Not my mother, not Laurel, not Belly. I would have to tell them eventually but right now everything was already too dark there was no reason to shut the curtains, too.
No! Her reply text reads. And then another one: I told Betty tho :/
I don’t bother replying. I lock my phone and throw it on the bed. Betty, who had the biggest mouth out of anyone in our class. Betty, who thrived off of other people’s misery. Betty, who ran and told Josh that my life was crumbling down around me in the wake of him. I want to scream but I shut my eyes instead and picture her head inflating with all the gossip she eats and popping off of her neck. When I open them, blood is splattered on the walls and there’s a knock at the door. I go to open the door and the walls are white again.
Conrad stands in the doorway, leaning against the frame similarly to how Steven stood only a few minutes ago in the kitchen. He looks like he was asleep. He has bags under his eyes and his hair was messy and he’s looking down at me in a way that makes me feel uneasy. “What are you doing here?” I ask quietly.
“I heard you come up and then I heard you talking on the phone. Are you okay? It’s late.” He doesn’t give any indication that he heard what was being said but he was living next door, so he may have. I just nod my head and pull the door open a little more, inviting him inside. He doesn’t speak but accepts my offer by walking inside and I close the door behind him. “I don’t know what happened earlier, at the pool,” he starts, “but I’m sorry. He’s a jerk.”
I nod my head again even though I’m not so sure I believe that anymore. “I’m fine.”
Conrad spins around the room. His eyes search for any changes that I’ve made, which aren’t really any. I left everything the way that it was except for my small collection of books on the dresser and my clothes on my floor. “What are you reading right now?” He asks, nodding toward the stack.
“Moby Dick,” I tell him. “Cliche, I know.”
“Just a little pretentious,” he teases and I actually laugh. “I’ve read it a few times myself,” he admits. He uses his finger to flip open the front cover and he traces the lines of the title page before finding my bookmark and opening it up. I’m a little over halfway through, but truth be told, I hadn’t paid attention to the last hundred words. It’s hard to really focus on anything these days. “Do you want to go on our boat tomorrow morning, maybe?”
He’s still looking at the book and I watch his back move up and down as he breathes. He doesn’t turn around to look at me until I say, “yeah. I’d love to.” His mouth stretches across his face in a smile.
“You won’t be too afraid?” His eyes narrow and I laugh, shaking my head. “Okay, good. I’ll knock around 5? Watch the sunset?” His words turn up in question and I tell him that’s perfect and he smiles wider and steps toward me. He leans down, his breath hitting my ear. “Get some sleep.” When he walks past me, his shoulders brush mine gently and I can’t stop myself from reaching down and catching his wrist before he gets too far away. His body spins around to face me and we crash together harder than I anticipated. It knocks the wind out of me but Conrad’s hands steady me. They grab my waist and hold me stable even when my entire body shivers as we make eye contact. “What?”
I let out a shaky breath and I think about Josh. About how it felt the first time we kissed: exhilarating, powerful, real, and hot. Every atom of my body felt like it was on fire but right now I feel calm. Like a cloud that’s swimming through the sky slowly but too fast all at the same time. As I lean in now, I don’t feel a fire in my bones. They feel like jello. They feel like they’re floating. “Are you sure?” He asks me and I nod without thinking and instead of pulling away like I should have, I kiss him. I kiss him long and hard with my fingers in his hair and his pressed into my hips and when he pulls away again, to ask me one more time, I have to stop myself.
“I’m sorry,” I say. “I’m so fucking sorry.” My shaky hands go to my lips as I stagger away from him. The look on his face is hard to decipher but it’s painful, nonetheless. “I don’t know why I did that. It wasn’t fair.” What I meant was it wasn’t fair to him because I still loved Josh. It wasn’t fair to me because I still loved Josh. It wasn’t fair to Belly because she still loved Conrad, didn’t she? The guilt is what pushed him away.
“It’s okay,” he says. He’s trying to find an answer in my face that he won’t be able to find and he reaches for my hand. I let him grab it. “It’s okay. I’ll come to get you in the morning, alright?” He squeezes my hand and I nod and watch him leave. I stare at the back of the door until his bedroom door closes behind him.

Beach House || Chris Briney x fem!reader
Tumblr media
summary: you are chris’s girlfriend and are spending the day with the cast for the release of the show.
warnings: just little overthinking and a lot of fluff 😻
wc: 1k+
just a little chris fic bc i love him <3
masterlist
Tumblr media
It was the week of the premiere of The Summer I Turned Pretty show to come out. The cast had invited everyone to a beach house that Lola had rented. The people invited were limited. You and Chris have been dating for about 2 years now and he got to invite you as the cast has loved you from the first time you had visited the set. Currently, you all were at the pool in the backyard. Lola started a live with Gavin and immediately it blew up with people. The show was supposed to come out tonight and you all were going to watch it with the fans. You were laying on a lounge chair under an umbrella so you didn’t get burnt by the sun with your eyes closed.
“Hey, beautiful.” Chris walked over to you dripping from just getting out of the pool. you opened your eyes smiling at him “just coming to check on you.” he sat on the edge of the chair and you sat up to come face to face with him
“I'm perfect.” you leaned forward and kissed him softly. Chris smiled at you and rubbed your cheek softly
“yo, Chris! we’re playing volleyball get back here!” Gavin called out to him as the cast was in the pool ready to play against each other
“go rockstar,” you muttered against him
“love you.” he sat up and jumped into the pool
You pulled your phone out to check Instagram and Twitter. All of your mentions or explore pages were of the show and edits of it. Some were thirst traps of Chris as Conrad and you felt amazing that you were dating such an amazing guy. But it hit you. That a lot of girls were going to be obsessed with your boyfriend. They would want you gone, maybe you are going to get hate after the show is out. You glanced up at everyone who was around Lola's phone and gushing about the show. You decided maybe you would sleep just a little while everyone did that. You rested your eyes cuddling on your side against Chris's sweatshirt he had on earlier. Slowly you drifted off to the yelling in the pool.
The feeling of an arm wrapping around you made you stir. The dampness of Chris's shorts hit your back but you relaxed. He laid down behind you on the chair closing his eyes and breathing in your scent.
“hmmm hi.” you cuddled back into him
“shhh go back to sleep.” he kissed your shoulder and you closed your eyes again
What you both didn’t see was how the live stream was facing Sean as he was answering questions. The fans all noticed how Chris cuddled up to you and many of them were freaking out about how cute the two of you were.
Later that day everyone was getting ready for the first episode to come out. You and Chris were currently taking a shower together to “save water”.
“We can’t be in here long.” you hugged Chris from behind as he stood in front of the water
“it’s fine, they won’t miss us.” he turned around and moved some of your hair from your face. “you sure you’re okay?” you sighed and he furrowed his eyebrows “is this about the show coming out?”
“it’s amazing, I know it is. I just feel a little“ you paused
“jealous?” he finished your sentence and smirked
“you’re so attractive in the show and there are gonna be so many girls that will want you Chris.” you anxiously played with the water droplets that were on his chest and his heart exploded at the way you both used physical touch to calm each other down
“First, I’m yours. and only yours.” he leaned down and kissed your neck and you sighed “second,” he looked up “am I only attractive to you in the show?” he said jokingly “I’m not attractive to you now?”
“stop.” you laughed and leaned into his chest and he stroked your hair
“tell me if anything is bothering you, please.” you both stood there under the water and held each other until Gavin yelled at you assuming you were having sex and Chris responded with “fuck off.”
Around thirty minutes later you were in your shared room that you had with Chris. He was already downstairs and this time Gavin started live on his phone. You took your time to get comfortable in shorts and one of Chris's sweatshirts. As you walked downstairs you passed the cast and Chris averted his eyes to follow you as you sat on the couch and got on your phone.
“y/n someone asked if you are team Jeremiah or Conrad?” Lola read off the chat and turned back towards you and as you put down your phone
“I’ve been a Jeremiah girl, but not anymore after the last book. I read the books when they came out and instantly fell in love. but I was team Jeremiah the first two books.” Chris gasped and Gavin laughed and blew you a kiss
“she is living out her Conrad dream.” rain mentioned and you blushed as the chat went crazy saying how lucky you were.
They kept answering questions and Chris kept glancing at you before standing up and coming over to sit next to you. You laid your head down on his shoulder as an instant reaction and he kissed the top of your head.
“The show is premiering in 5 minutes!” Lola screamed and everyone bundled onto the couch leaving the phone resting against the tv so the fans could see your reactions
As you cuddled closer to Chris the show started and everyone enjoyed it just as much as filming it. In one scene you are seen at the beach bonfire party and everyone laughed at you for tripping, which was not scripted. As y’all finished the episode you drifted off on Chris's shoulder and he hugged you to him and rubbed your arm keeping you calm. Again the fans in the comments freaking out over how cute the two of you were, again they only paid attention to the two of you. You moved slightly away from him but he pulled you back into him not wanting you to be away from him.
“wanna go to bed?” he whispered into your ear not wanting you to be overwhelmed with the cast talking
“hm?” you opened your eyes and looked up into his loving eyes
“bed?” you shook your head wanted to be with him and the cast
“you sure?”
“later.” he sighed and kissed your head once again and you snuggled into his side
“okay we are doing a house tour so we are all going to separate to our rooms so get ready to show them.” summer said excitedly
“What time is Larsen coming in tomorrow?” Lola asked Gavin who’s head popping up at his girlfriend's name
“around twelve.”
Chris moved to carry you to your room. His arms felt like home after all these years of longing for him as friends.
“bedtime.”
“I love you,” you whispered into him
“I love you too, sweetheart.” he smiled down at your body falling in love all over
As he placed you on the bed he took off your pants to get you ready for bed and put you under the covers. He kissed you softly making a small smile come to your face.
“sweatshirt on or off?”
“on please.” you cracked your eyes open to glance at him
“I need to go end the live with them, I will be right back.” he walked away and you smiled at how lucky you were
You drifted off a little and didn’t completely fall asleep as you needed Chris to be there with you. Voices came closer to your room and Chris entered.
“This is where y/n and I are staying.” you covered yourself under the comforter and Chris chuckled at your actions “she’s super tired if y’all couldn’t tell today.” he walked closer to you “she will be okay though.” he moved some of the comforters and moved your hair “I’ll be back soon darling.” he walked away and out of the room.
Chris left for a few minutes and then came back. He took off his shirt and his pants leaving him in his boxers and sliding into bed with you but turning off the lamp next to him leaving y’all in the darkness. He grabbed you and flipped you around so you were cuddled into his side. he hummed into your hair as you both calmed down from the day
“thank you for being here.”
“thank you for letting me come.” you moved your finger up and down his chest “I’m so glad you got this opportunity. it makes me really happy for you.” he smiled down at your figure
“I love you,” he whispered and you knew he was it for you.

Just Friends
Tumblr media
Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Pairing: Conrad Fisher x Reader
Summary: Y/N has been in love with Conrad since she could remember. They grew up together, spent every summer of their lives together. Conrad is her sun and she would do anything to bask in him all day. Conrad is confusing to say the least. Y/N decides this is the summer that things change. This is the summer they won’t be just friends.
Warnings: alcohol, drugs, cursing, underage drinking
“Hurry up and get settled in, the Conklins and Fishers are coming over for dinner soon!” Your mom leaned against the doorway to your room.
They had arrived earlier in the day yet you haven’t unpacked your things yet. Your heart fluttered at the thought of seeing Conrad in just a few minutes. You stood from your spot on the bed, pushing your mom out of the room and shutting the door, a goofy smile fixed on your face.
You’ve always had the biggest crush on Conrad, it was pretty obvious to everyone. Well everyone except Conrad.
You couldn’t help it, Conrad has always had a soft spot for you. When the guys never wanted to include you or Belly in their plans, Conrad was always quick to invite you both, even if the others got annoyed about it.
Conrad always saved the best muffins for you. Always brought an extra jacket to the beach because you were always too stubborn to bring your own. Even if Conrad wouldn’t admit it, he cared deeply for you.
You rushed to make yourself presentable, pulling your hair out of the birds nest of a bun you had and brushing it out.
This is it, you’ve been waiting all year to see her Conrad again. To be in cousins with your best friends, having the time of your lives.
A knock on your door pulled you from your thoughts, You tore your eyes away from the mirror and turned to see your bother, John peeking his head into the door.
“Hey, Fisher’s are here. Just thought you should know.” He smirked at you, his words seemed innocent but you knew he was teasing you.
“Oh stop it. I’ll be right down.” You rolled your eyes closing the door behind him.
You glanced at the mirror one more time, tucking your hair behind your ear. After one final deep breathe you opened your door and made your way downstairs.
You walked into the kitchen to see Susannah talking to your mom at the island. You grinned widely at the sight of the woman that was practically your second mother. Susannah and Laurel always treated you like their own daughter, it was amazing honestly. We were like one giant family.
“Hi!!” She grinned, standing from the stool and wrapping her arms tightly around you.
“You are so big oh my goodness!” She pulled back, holding your shoulders in her hands. She turned her head to your mom and whispered. “She’s beautiful!”
Your mom rolled her eyes and nodded.
“Don’t tell her that too often, she’ll get a big head.” She teased.
“The boys are in the living room, choosing what movie you guys are going to watch tonight.” Susannah pushed you towards the living room before continuing her conversation with your mom.
You crept towards the living room. John and Jeremiah were sitting on the couch with their back towards you. Your eyes landed on Conrad who was one one of the side chairs. Nobody noticed you walk into the living room, all their eyes still glued to the screen.
“Hey!” You announced your presence in the room. All their heads turned to face you.
Jeremiah was off of the couch in seconds, wrapping his arms around you tightly.
“Look at you! So grown now, huh?” He laughed.
“Jere I’m older than you, fuck off.” You laughed pushing him off of you. Your eyes landed on Conrad who was now standing up, staring right back at you. Jere sat back down on the couch talking to John, but you couldn’t focus on anything but Conrad.
You were frozen in your spot, standing with your mouth slightly open, unsure of what to say. Conrad walked towards, stopping mere inches away from you.
“Hi.” You whispered loud enough for him to hear.
“I liked you better with bangs.” He smiled softly, causing you to roll your eyes.
Last year you had went through a forehead bangs phase. You loved it at the time, but looking back at photos now it only made you cringe. Everyone teased you about it, but especially Conrad.
“I hate you.” You glared at him, scrunching your nose at the fact that the first thing he says to you is a jab of your cringey hair.
Conrad shook his head and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you in for a hug. Now this made you smile. No. It was enough to make you smile for the rest of the week.
Cousins was the best place to be. But your favorite place to be was in Conrad’s arms.
But just as you were getting comfortable in his embrace, he pulled away all too quickly. The front door had opened, signaling the Conklin’s arrival. Everyone bolted to the door, you ran straight into Belly’s arms giving her a tight squeeze.
Belly has always been a little sister to you, considering all you had was a snarky younger brother.
“Belly!!” You squealed into her ear.
“What? Do I not get an exciting hug?” Steven pouted by the door. You rolled your eyes and hugged him next before the guys crowded around him.
“Guys! Time for dinner!” Laurel called from the kitchen.
You all stood there staring at each other, smirks forming on the guy’s faces.
“Actually...” John smirked. “I think it’s time for.. a belly flop!” He shouted.
Belly’s eyes go wide and she shouts no as she tries to make a run for it. But let’s be honest, she’s not out running three teenage boys. John grabbed her, sticking his arms under her armpits while Conrad and Jere picked up her legs.
They ran through the house with her in their arms and you shook your head, following after them and grabbing a towel from the linen closet on the way out to the backyard. By the time you were outside Belly was already in the water, but much to your surprise, John was right next to her splashing water in her face.
You stood next to Conrad and Jere with the towel.
“What happened? Why is John in the water?” You asked throwing the towel onto the pool chair next to you. Steven shrugged his shoulders.
“No idea, they’re weird.” He laughed.
“Come on, first come first serve on the pizza!” Jere patted Steven on the chest before they bolted back towards the house. You looked back at the two in the pool and furrowed your eyebrows.
“Let’s go.” Conrad grasped your elbow lightly to get your attention before he too was walking towards the house.
Dinner was good as always. You all sat around the table, talking about the recent events in your life. Jere made varsity baseball, Belly was captain of her volleyball team, Steven was applying to colleges, John just got his license.
Everybody always had something to say. Except Conrad. He sat in his chair quietly, barely touching his food. He seemed a little weird, even earlier when you greeted him. There was something off.
“What about you, Conrad?” Your mom turned her head to look down the table at him. “How’s football?” She asked.
“I quit.” He said simply. This took everyone aback, especially you.
Conrad had never mentioned quitting football, but then again he’s hardly texted you within the last 2 months. He was super dry all the time.
“What? Why?” Belly asked from beside you. Your eyes were locked onto the boy in front of you, silently begging him to look up at you. He shrugged in his seat, still staring at the plate of food in front of him.
“Just didn’t want to play anymore. Would’ve been a bench warmer all season anyways.” He mumbled, you turned to face Susannah who had an unreadable expression on her face.
You couldn’t tell if she was upset or just defeated with Conrad.
The rest of dinner was pretty uneventful, small talk and gossip between the moms. Right after dinner all the kids went to the living room to watch a movie, but you stayed back to help the moms tidy up the table and dinner.
“You guys go enjoy yourselves, we’ve got it.” Conrad said to the moms, hushing their protests. “Go.” He shooed them away. It was always you and Conrad that took the lead in helping out the moms. You were the oldest, it was pretty much an unwritten law that you two were the responsible ones.
You stacked the plates up in silence while he picked up the glasses. You watched him in your peripherals.
“Why didn’t you tell me you quit football?” You broke the silence. His hands stopped their actions at your words. He didn’t say anything for a moment before he continued what he was doing.
“Didn’t think it was important.” He mumbled, rinsing the glasses before loading them into the dishwasher. You placed the pile of plates in the sink for him.
“It’s pretty damn important.” You grumbled, wiping down the dinner table before standing across the island from Conrad as he loaded the dishes.
“Why does it matter, Y/N?” His head shot up to you.
“Because football was important to you! You love football. You wanted to do football through college and all of a sudden you just aren’t feeling it anymore?” You shook your head.
“I just don’t want to play anymore, why is that so hard to accept?” He dropped the plate in his hand, letting it fall in the sink, shattering. You both stood in silence, your eyes landing on the broken glass in the sink.
Before you could say anything, Conrad was out of the kitchen and out the front door.
What a good start to the summer.
Part 2 soon.

not enough, conrad fisher
Tumblr media
*not my gif. full creds to proper owner*
warnings: angst?? not the best writing
description: you and conrad were happy together, or so you thought.
*more: im just getting into writing, so it might not be the best but i hope you like it :)
conrad was your first best friend. your first crush. first love. first everything. you two had a healthy relationship. it was everything you could ask for. he showed affection all the time, even if it was through the little acts of kindness to cuddling you every night. he showed he cared for you and your relationship. but this summer was different.
conrad became very distant towards you. every time you’d ask to hang out, it was either he had to do something for susannah or help out cleveland. anytime you tried to approach him, he would walk away, completely ignoring your existence. you would cry yourself to sleep, thinking about what possibly you could have done wrong for him to act in this way.
you eventually got fed up, decided to try to at least talk to him. you spotted him at nicole’s party and went up to him, “hey can we talk?” he looked irritated and maybe a little tipsy. “nah, not right now.” conrad continued to talk to some guys he had just met. you sighed and tried once again, “conrad, please.”
conrad finally gave in and followed you to an empty room. the two of you sat in silence, you thinking of what to say and how to say it.
“is everything okay with us?” conrad raised his eyebrows in confusion not getting what you’re saying, “what do you mean?”
you sighed, “i mean you’ve been really distant, always making excuses when i ask to hang out. what’s going on?” his glance finally met yours before responding with clear agitation laced in his voice, “i am perfectly fine.”
did you do something?
awkward silence fell in the room once again, neither of you able to make eye contact. you didn’t know what to do anymore. you weren’t sure you could do anything but believe your “healthy” relationship was falling apart. conrad began walking to leave the room when you said something making him abruptly stop.
“is there another girl or something?”
in that very moment, you had solved everything. there was another girl. he’d been giving all his time to her. the attention you once had from him, she now received. you felt the tears coming to your eyes, threatening to spill but you wouldn’t let them.
his glance meeting yours once again, mouth opening but closing as nothing came out. he didn’t know what to say. he felt guilt, a ton of it. you notice the gloss that took over his eyes.
“was i not enough for you?” nothing but silence filled the room again. “i’m sorry, y/n.” that was it, the only thing he said.
you scoffed, “i don’t want to ever see your face again, conrad fisher.” you couldn’t hold it in anymore. the tears came pouring out. you stormed out of that room and out of the house, walking yourself back home. the amount of pain you felt was unbearable. two years all for nothing.
were you really not enough?

connie + shy!reader like she had a hard day at work or something and all she wants is a hug but is too afraid to ask
YES I LOVE THIS
Tumblr media
you were glad that you and conrad had only planned a movie night and not a big date tonight. you probably would have canceled if you had. today had kicked you in the ass. three people yelled at you at work, your manager being one of them. you just needed conrad.
the ten minute drive from your work to your boyfriends house felt like an hour. the five second walk from the bottom of the driveway to the top, felt like twenty minutes. you had never been more relieved in your life when you finally reached the front door. shooting conrad a quick, 'let me in' text, regardless of the fact that he had told you multiple times you could come in on your own.
it was only a few seconds before the blonde had opened the door, "hi, baby," he smiled, moving out of the way in order to let you in. you smiled back, not saying anything as you made your way to his couch and set your bag down on it. he wasn't far behind you, sitting down on the couch and pulling you with him, "hi," he spoke once more.
"hi," you responded. you moved to dig through your bag, trying to get the pajamas that you swore you had packed. when you came to the conclusion that they were, in fact, not in there. "fuck," you mumbled, leaning back onto the couch with a sigh.
"what's the matter?" conrad asked, placing his hand on your knee.
you took a deep breath, afraid that you might start crying if you hadn't, "i forgot my stupid pajamas," you mumbled, running your fingers through your hair. you had said it like it was the end of the world, and conrad couldn't have been more confused as to why.
he looked at you, tilting his head, "it's alright. we can go upstairs, and you can have one of my tee shirts," he said, moving to stand up and offer you a hand to do the same. you nodded, taking his hand and following him up the stairs. conrad sat you down on his bed, opening his closet, "okay. want a sweater or a t-shirt?" the boy asked, turning around to face you.
you looked up at him, and he felt like he could cry when he realized how sad you looked. "just a t-shirt, please. can i have some sweat pants, too?" you requested, softly.
"anything for you." you got dressed into warm clothes when conrad finally decided to bring up the elephant in the room, "now, pretty. why do you look so sad?" he asked. you shook your head, not wanting to give him an answer. "that's okay. im great at guessing games," your boyfriend smiled, "hmm, are you tired?"
you shook your head.
"hungry?"
again.
"okay, okay. do you want a hug?" bingo. you nodded, looking up from your lap to make eye contact with him. he chuckled, immediately wrapping his arms around you. "y/n/n, baby. you never have to ask for a hug, you know that." he told you, the words muffled into your hair. "bad day at work?" he asked, earning a nod.
you pulled away after a few minutes, ready to talk, "im sorry, connie. it was just a really long day. i didn't mean to shut you out."
he looked at you like you had three heads, "it's okay. we all have bad days. let's go watch the movies," the boy suggested standing up and pulling you with him.
you watched five minutes of ten things i hate about you before you fell asleep.
