May we know what are your top five hated character in the beyblade and why you despise them?? 🙏
I am known for one thing and it's being a fucking hater😎
When I think about characters that I hate, it's less about them being shit people in the show and more about them making my viewing experience worse. Like, sure, you can help save the world and whatnot, but are you funny? Heartfelt? Cool? Do you have any personality traits outside of the exposition you were made to deliver? Do you bounce off the other characters' energy well? (Basically, were you or were you not introduced in Fury😐 /hj)
So overall, this isn't a list of characters I would beat the shit out of if we met; they're ones that made the show worse for me and thus I hate their very conception with a burning passion.
Interestingly enough, I can't actually think of five characters that I genuinely hate, so I've made a top four instead. Sure, there are more I don't really like, but those ones aren't as hate-inducing as they are just kind of bland. So if you expected certain antagonists to be on here, just know that they were likely too boring to hate.
Without further ado, here's the top four worst characters in mfb (to me):
4. Chris
Tumblr media
This is just a nothing character. A nothing man. They could've had an interesting idea with the blader for hire idea, but instead, it was squandered for a basic "everyone left me" backstory. What a bummer, man. Never heard that one before. Tetsuya and King are crying their eyes out fr :/
What really gets me about him, though, is that despite being so nothing, he takes up a spot as a legendary blader, when that could've been ANYONE. This character is the first legendary blader we find after we figure out who we're actually looking for; it could be any Winter constellation blader- and it's just a fucking white guy who's a little bit mean. Noah Fence to Mr. Adachi, but his favourite legendary blader- who in the manga is a blue-blooded American military man- is the man standing emoji??? Great.
3. Ryo Hagane/The Immortal Phoenix (more like penis haha)
Avert your eyes, Sadie, Arti and Deity. L FATHER. L DIRECTOR. L HUMAN. Oh, I almost died in a volcanic cave-in that destroyed my home and sent my son on a quest for revenge? THIS WILL BE A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR HIM :) No Hokuto, don't tell him I'm alive while we're 50 METRES AWAY FROM EACH OTHER, he still has some Beyblade things to learn before he can have his father back. And oh man, he came third in that one tournament?? How did he let this happen??? Let me just dress up like a clown and DESTROY ALL THE PROGRESS HE MADE TOWARDS TRYING TO STOP THE GUYS THAT HE THINKS KILLED ME.
And when the jig is up and he's finally revealed, he's just like "I did what I thought was best😌" and Benkei's like "You should be in jail you sick fuck" and that's honestly a Benkei W. But he doesn't go to jail. In fact... some fucking idiot put him in charge of the WBBA, which means he can now make stupid decisions that fuck over not just his own son, but ALL of the children of Japan! Yay!!!
No Hikaru, we can't let Gan Gan Galaxy or Wild Fang rest despite half the kids being critically injured, that's special treatment! Oh but yes Gingka, I will let the TWO teams that attacked you guys outside of the competitions off the hook so that you can still battle them, I love special treatment! And yes Tsubasa, I think you should spend more time with Gingka and the gang to learn about friendship and become stronger, but NO Tsubasa, you should NOT go with Gingka and the gang to look for legendary bladers when you can just do it completely by yourself! L FATHER. L DIRECTOR. L. HUMAN.
The only reason he's not lower is because he leads to funnies (see above).
2. Yuki Mizusawa
Tumblr media
Do you ever feel like your one purpose in life is to tell some guy about his fate, and since you don't have anything left to accomplish on this earth you decide to follow him while he achieves this fate? Oh sure, you might feel a little better after becoming a part of that fate, but really, what do you honestly contribute other than "we need to find the legendary bladers that possess the star fragments so that we can defeat Nemesis!"? Because that is all you fucking say.
To really explain my gripe with this pathetic dork whom I could easily fold up and shove in my dishwasher, here is an excerpt from some notes I was making during my second Fury rewatch:
Tumblr media
(The first and last quotes are from Ryo. At least he can be funny while also being a waste of space👀)
Maybe I wouldn't hate him so much if he hadn't replaced Based characters like Kenta (who I know was getting some important development at the time, but still😤), Yu, and even my main man Tsoobs (who as previously mentioned, was unfairly separated from the gang by a fucking idiot loser). But he did. He took up that heartfelt, funny, and cool space to be. a slightly damp sock.
Was there potential for Yuki to be something more if the writers of Fury weren't smoking the psychedelic betel nuts that grow in my neighbour's yard that keep falling into our pool? I don't fucking care. If he had more of a personality other than "Mr. Gingka!" and "my grandfather once said-" then maybe I would.
1. Dynamis
Tumblr media
SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT UUUUUUUUUP. From the moment this fucker is introduced all he does is spew exposition. And that is entirely it. If I hear ONE MORE FUCKING WORD about "the stars, and what is fated, and the gods, and the will of the heavens, and the will of the stars, and-" THIS TIME I'M REALLY GONNA DO IT.
When my sibling and I first watched through Fury we were simply ASTOUNDED. at how fucking boring this guy is. Seriously, we took a long hiatus from watching after his introductory episodes because they were so mind-numbing (in fact, I think the hiatus might've lasted up until our dog fucking DIED, because I was so upset that I would've rather felt incredibly bored than sad LMAO).
You'd think it would've gotten at least a little more interesting when he gets possessed, but no. He sounds exactly the fucking same or he just doesn't talk at all (I'm pretty sure there was no point in him being possessed at all, but I digress). He gets pulled back to the goodies with the power of friendship or whatever and then BOOM. I GOTTA TELL AGUMA ABOUT THE STARS, AND THE WILL OF THE HEAVENS, AND THE GODS, AND THE FATES AND I'M REALLY GONNA DO IT THIS TIME.
All in all, what I hate in the show is wasting time with exposition, being a nothing person with no character, and teaching lessons that aren't fucking lessons you need to teach. Thanks for the suggestion, anon!

Kyouya : a positive character
There is something I want to point out about Kyouya.
Despite the whole lone-lion-thing and the I-don't-need-friends-thing, Kyouya is one of the most positive character of the show.
1. Kyouya never doubts of himself
I mean... like... NEVER.
"Who will win, me or Ginga ? Focus Kyouya. "
- about the Battle Blader semi-final (right after Hikaru and Tsubasa get crushed by Ryuuga)
"I never imagined you would be the first opponent I crush but I can't say I'm disappointed."
- to Ryuuga, episode 106
2. Kyouya's one of the characters who has the more fun in Beybattle
"Interesting, this is really kind of funny. Isn't it right, Ryuuga ?"
- to Ryuuga, episode 49
"I finally get to fight Ginga and Galaxy Pegasus at long last. It's going to be a blast."
- about his future duel against Ginga, episode 72
Tumblr media
"Ha ha ha ! I'm enjoying this ! I'm enjoying it a lot Ginga. This is what a battle should be."
- to Ginga, episode 72
Tumblr media
"Leone ? I don't know what just happens but I don't care !"
- to Leone, episode 103
"You like that pal ? Counter-mode is awesome."
- to Ryuuga, episode 106
A little note about the French dub : when Kyouya gets enthusiastic, he had a more teenagey-langage. That's really fun to hear.
3. The most important point
Kyouya always defuse the situations they get in. The gang is bound to save the world, they face great danger but, as soon as it ends, Kyouya rushes to act as usual. He's also shown as a supportive character. Not in the expensive way of Benkei, or the heartened way of Ginga, but still.
(I have hesitated to make this part in two parts, but his supportiveness is often tied up to his eagerness to defuse the situation.)
Season 1 (Beyblade Metal Fusion)
Tumblr media
Kyouya is the first one to announce he'll take part of the Battle Bladers, after Ginga, and he acts all "this will be a great tournament, the Dark Nebula members are just some participants among others, I'm so impatient to face you there". That forces Ginga to choose between the friendship he had with the gang and his quest for vengeance (you can't be friend with someone and push them away all the time). And as soon Ginga chose, admitting it's a tournament and not only about him revenging from Ryuuga, the others step in and said they want to take part in too.
Kyouya : So then next time we met will be at the Battle Bladers tournament. (...) By winning the Battle Bladers I can squash Doji's plans and earn the title of the strongest blader. If you think about it, it's an opportunity no blader can pass up. Remember this Ginga. You won't be defeated by Ryuuga or Yuu, it'll be me, Kyouya, who does. (...) Don't worry. After defeating you, I'll be sure to settle the score with Ryuuga too.
(in French, he said “Je te promets de régler son compte à Ryuuga”. So "I promise you to settle the score with Ryuuga").
Ginga : He's mine and nothing will stand in my way. Both your Leone and Ryuuga's L-drago will be defeated by my Pegasus.
- episode 23
Tumblr media
At the Battle Bladers, Kyouya still acts like this is only a tournament (and it's not an act, in view of his thoughts before his duel against Ryuuga xD). He's annoyed when Tsubasa behaves as a spy rather than a blader and he lectures him about it :
Tumblr media
"What you have in mind is an insult not just to me but to the whole concept of Beyblade. (...) No matter how strong an opponent is, I'll face them head-on. I'll hold nothing back even if I'm putting all I have on the line, so be it. That's what it means to be a blader. (...) You'd better to start train harder you have to stay sharp because if you win your battle your next opponent is me."
- episode 42
Tumblr media
Then, when Tsubasa is on his way to fight Ryuuga, Kyouya reminds him that the Battle Bladers is a tournament, he isn't about to reach the final yet so it's not the end.
"This tournament is supposed to decide who is the strongest blader in the world. Don't give him an inch, crush Ryuuga and L-Drago, end of the story. (...) I told you I'll be waiting at the semi-finals. I don't want to get cheated out on beating you so be there."
- Kyouya to Tsubasa, episode 45
Tumblr media
He tells him they are supposed to face each other and that, instead of caring about that booooooooooooooring Ryuuga, he'd better worry about him cause he'll totally crushed him during the semi-finals. And, like every time he says something, his interlocutor reacts straight away and forgets everything but him. For a moment, Tsubasa gains confidence. But as soon as Tsubasa isn't looking at him anymore, Kyouya seems more tense.
During the Battle Bladers, we also have this scene where Kyouya acknowledges Benkei's progress, after their duel, while Benkei gets disheartened because he doesn’t success to win against him :
Tumblr media
Kyouya : You’re stronger than you were.
Benkei : Really ? Do you mean it Kyouya ?
Kyouya : But you better get even stronger so you’re ready for our next battle. Got it ?
- episode 43
Tumblr media
Season 2 (Beyblade Metal Masters)
Tumblr media
When Kyouya challenges Ginga, after winning against the Chandora team, he waits for him to cheer up. He wants him to have fun at the prospect of their battle and not just battling for the sake of his team.
Kyouya : "What you have seen today is nothing at all. Hear me Ginga, I'm holding back Leone's true strenght for when I battle you."
Ginga : "I look forward to it. I'll be ready to meet your challenge."
- episode 70
Tumblr media
(I love the way Kyouya’s face softens... It happens too when he cheers Benkei up and reminds Tsubasa the Battle Bladers is a tournament.)
Episodes later, Kyouya comes with the Wild Fang to help Ginga and the others against the Spiral Energy and HD Academy (because he wasn't worried, lol). He does what he needs to do : helps Masamune and Dashan, hurries up Ginga, fights Damian... and then, they success. All bladers gather together in front of the Academy building. They are relieved... Yuu began to tease Ginga about him taking advance on them...
Tumblr media
...and then, Kyouya does what he's the best to do : drawing the attention to himself.
"So, once again, you keep all the good actions for yourself. It's a real drag."
- to Ginga, episode 102
Tumblr media
Kyouya acts like what they just survived wasn't a big deal. Not only he could have done it, but, at least, it wouldn't have been as boring as his part. He just fought Damian and that wasn't that hard... And he pouted, showing that the situation isn't that serious.
Ginga begins to answer seriously but Kyouya interrupts him :
"Just what about you're rambling on over there ? As soon as Pegasus is fit, it's on."
Like, well, we just save the world again and everything but that's not as important as our blader careers, you know, and that's certainly not as important as our rivalry. And, just with these two sentences, everyone is like "yeah ! we're bladers, we have to train ! see you soon !"
Season 3 (Beyblade Metal Fury)
Kyouya acts this way again at the end of Fury. The legendary bladers are all relieved to have defeated Nemesis and finished their quest... but Kyouya, of course, can't let them think it's the end :
Tumblr media
Aguma : Now, everything is finished.
Dynamis : Yes, our roles as legendary bladers are concluded.
Kyouya : What are you talking about ? This is just the beginning. My goal is to deafeat the legendary bladers one by one and then settle things with Ginga. Aguma and Dynamis, I finished my battles with you two. Chris, it's your turn next.
Chris : Well, sounds good. I'll battle you.
Aguma : Hang on. You and I are tied with one win each. Our score isn't settled yet.
Kyouya : Okay. That's fine. I'll crush you as many times as you want.
- episode 141
Tumblr media
Like everytime Kyouya intervenes, everyone react at once at his words. They are borderline fighting to answer to Kyouya's challenge... Anyway, most of them are eager to battle him while they were saying moments before they were relieved the battle ended. Some words and they are all ready to act the way Kyouya wants.
However, there is a big difference this time :
Tumblr media
Ginga seems to understand what Kyouya did.
(This could be linked to the fact Kyouya is a natural leader.)

[ character images from X and X ]
Heisenberg (Crush > Romance): Definitely began with distrust on his end and he may have been a bit put off by her cheeriness in the beginning and considered her to be naïve but he couldn’t help but be intrigued by her (especially because how the hell could anybody in her situation be this peppy and not in a sadistic way). The progression of their relationship to intimacy and romance was a slow-burn. They however had a heartbreaking conflict when it came to using Rosemary against Miranda but they ultimately still care for each other. The shipper in me wants to go on the canon-divergent route where they both survive and be happy.
Dimitrescu (Respect > Neutral): A bit complicated. Faye aspired to be as powerful as her and somewhat yearned for her to be a mother figure but Dimitrescu may not hold as much affection for her as she does for her daughters, only referring her as “The Watchdog” in the beginning. This might have changed over the years and how Dimitrescu would feel when Faye ends up betraying Miranda depends on if Faye is able to prevent Ethan from killing the daughters/if Faye is able to turn Alcina against Miranda/etc.
Beneviento (Friends > Family-like): Donna is Faye’s closest female friend and if not visiting Heisenberg or patrolling the woods, Faye will often visit her to have tea, play with the dolls, or sew. If Heisenberg wasn’t around, Faye would have fallen for her. I think among the lords, Faye would definitely want Donna to get out alive.
Moreau (Rivals > Neutral): I imagine Moreau was not really pleased when he learned that Faye could easily tame the varcolaci and he may have even envied her thinking that she was Miranda’s new favorite child. I think he and Faye gradually became amicable but she may have difficulty convincing him to turn against Miranda. Overall, she pities him but also doesn’t visit him much because it’s wet and muggy everywhere and at one point, she accidentally replicated his acid vomit and it was not a pleasant experience.
Bela, Cassandra & Daniela (Fear > Family-like): Specifically, fear mixed with attraction (cause c’mon). Faye started off intimidated by their bloodlust but eventually got used to it. The sisters gave her more attention than their mother did and taught her how to fight with the sickle (Faye eventually learned how to dual wield them in case she was alone and without her rifle. and if she were borrowing Heisenberg’s magnetism ability, she’d turn into a human beyblade :D).
Ethan (Allies): They first meet in Castle Dimitrescu where he mistakes her for a prisoner. She assists him in escaping the castle and proceeds to rescue Rose but their alliance is shaken when he finds out about her relationship with the lords and her abilities. They do have each other’s backs until the end. If following the canon, she would be immensely saddened by his death. If diverging from the canon, they would become friends.
Angie (Fear > Friends): Of course it began with fear, look at her. But as Faye grew closer to Donna, she also got used to Angie and her antics.
Miranda (Respect > Hate): Faye’s initial respect and obedience towards Miranda came from gratitude since it was Miranda who saved her life but this began to wane after learning Heisenberg’s plan to destroy her. She finally decided to betray her after learning Miranda’s true intentions for the lords and herself, especially when it involved a kidnapping and dismembering of a baby.
The Duke (Acquaintances): On friendly terms but not close enough to be regarded as friends. He provided her with her sniper rifle and taught her how to cook.
Chris (Neutral): It was Faye who [somehow] got in contact with Chris and informed him of Miranda’s plan. Started off with immense distrust on both ends given her former affiliation and capabilities but she provides secure locations for his team to set up camps in preparation for their attack. If Faye survives in the end, Chris may offer her to join his squad.
Mia (Never met): But I imagine if Faye survives in the end, she and Mia could become friends, even help raising Rose.

Top 5 Favourite Beyblade Characters
Random and unasked for but I figured I would talk about my favourite characters in the Beyblade Metal Saga.
#5 A tie between Chris and Hikaru
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chris
I’m putting these two in the same spot because I wanted both of them to be on this list and a “top 6” doesn’t have as good of a ring to it as a “top 5.” Anyways, the first time I watched Metal Fury, I didn’t care much about Chris. Now however, I find his arc of being stuck in a job that brings him no joy to be incredibly relatable. His lack of passion for Beyblade makes complete sense: the fun of the sport was completely sucked out when it became an obligation for him and he wasn’t allowed to fight for himself. He was completely obligated to his employer and had little choice in the matter. That would suck away anyone’s passion, trust me, I know. So seeing the light return to his eyes as he rediscovered his passion for Beyblading was incredibly satisfying.
Hikaru
A lot of the appeal of Hikaru is admittedly that she is a female blader, and yeah, it is great having a strong female character. (We need more of those) What’s great about Hikaru however is that she isn’t just a token girl character or a mary sue: she is treated the same as any other blader and is allowed to fail and feel emotions without being degraded. I like that we even see a bit of her backstory where we learn that she is driven to be the best blader because of her likely deceased mother’s words. It’s a shame that she quit Beyblade due to her trauma but I also think it’s understandable and that it was interesting to explore that trauma. The moment that broke my heart rewatching Metal Masters was when Hikaru sees Dark Tsubasa and is paralyzed by terror, clearly remembering what Ryuga did to her. Beyblade’s most powerful scenes to me are the ones that delve into a character’s mind and allows me to see their thoughts and feelings. It allows me to understand and be more attached to the character and we got a lot of that from Hikaru and Chris.
#4 Yuki
Tumblr media
Yuki is kind of underrated in my opinion but then again, so is the entirety of Metal Fury. Yuki was a really fresh character for the series. Nearly every character is extremely reckless: acting first, thinking later so it was really refreshing to see a character who overthinks everything to the point of anxiety. I just relate more to a character that doubts himself and has to fight to overcome not just the great evil but his own self-doubt and fear as well. Also, I love that scene where he fights Ryuga. He probably knows he doesn’t stand a chance against a guy like him but he doesn’t care because he’s fighting for his friends. I can relate to that. When I’m just doing something for myself, I tend to doubt and question myself but when I’m standing up for my friends, I show no mercy. So yeah, Yuki is a really relatable character, as well as a pure cinnamon roll that needs more love.
#3 Kyoya
Tumblr media
If you asked who my favourite Beyblade character was two and half years ago, I would’ve answered “Kyoya” without any hesitation. While I do still really like him, I think his character was kind of fumbled in Metal Fury. I’ll talk about that separately though because I want this to be a positive post. Still, Kyoya is a great character. I like how he develops from a villain to that one liner asshole friend of Gingka’s. While I do like him unironically, Kyoya is honestly just funny to me. He is so ridiculously arrogant about his own skills but he actually is as good as he says he is. He’s also a tsundere. He’s absolutely a tsundere. He’s always helping his friends with whatever bullshit they’re doing: helping them infiltrate the Dark Nebula, going to look for Gingka when he disappears, helping them infiltrate Hades city, going with them to look for the Legendary Bladers, and on two separate occasions, staying behind to fight someone so the others can go forward. Even his determination to beat Gingka feels more like friendly competition than actual malice. And yet he insists he doesn’t care about them with lines like, “It’s not like I came to save you or anything.” It’s honestly kind of majestic. He’s also a complete badass. He always gets back up after a loss and fights to the bitter end and, sometimes to the detriment of himself but never his Beyblade. When Leone was on the verge of breaking to pieces in The Fearsome Libra, he forfeited the match to stop that from happening, risking humiliation and accepting defeat to do the right thing. That is genuinely admirable. It takes courage to fight but even more courage to admit defeat. Also, his fight against Ryuga in Metal Fusion is insane. Kyoya nearly falls so many times but keeps himself on his feet and rises up again. It takes being stabbed in the heart by the dark power for Kyoya to be defeated. Out of everyone, Kyoya came the closest to defeating Ryuga through sheer will and determination alone. What a badass.
#2 Tsubasa
Tumblr media
Similar to Yuki, Tsubasa is also a pretty unique character for this series. While he is passionate about fighting like all the others, Tsubasa is much more thoughtful and cool-headed, which is appealing especially among a cast of hot-headed crazy characters. When Tsubasa is first introduced, he’s kind of a mystery. We don’t know his true intentions or alignment until we learn that he was working for the WVBA, about 15 episodes after his initial introduction. This unpredictability made him interesting to watch in Metal Fusion as I didn’t know what he was going to do next. Then in Metal Masters, he becomes even more interesting. While it was emotionally intense to watch, I think the “Dark Tsubasa” arc is one of this series’ greatest achievements. It revealed a completely new layer of personality to Tsubasa and gave him so much development.
While he was being somewhat controlled by the dark power, it is made clear through the dialogue that that side of him was always there and the dark power just enhanced and unmasked it. He did often hide his true emotions and intentions in Metal Fusion after all. The scenes where Tsubasa interacts with his dark self are very interesting and relatable to me because I often try to hide my negative emotions and avoid situations where they might come out until those feelings fester into madness, which is essentially what Tsubasa did. However, the resolution to this arc is what makes it so special to me. Tsubasa doesn’t drive out the darkness or continue to repress it: he accepts the darkness as part of who he is because everyone has darkness in them and the way to control it is to become one with it. And in the end, he becomes a stronger blader and person as a result of this arc. This is legitimately inspiring and helpful to me. It’s important to remember that we are not defined by our worst thoughts/feelings, we are defined by how we handle them and accepting ourselves, flaws and all, is important. So really that arc alone makes Tsubasa one of my favourite characters but he also has an appealing personality as well. It’s a shame he was kind of underused in Metal Fury but I love what we got from him.
#1 Ryuga
Tumblr media
Yeah, okay, this was obvious. Take one look at my feed or even my profile picture and you could probably guess that I love Ryuga. Two and a half years ago, I hated him with a passion but after rewatching the show again, I realized I only really hated him because of what he did to Hikaru, Tsubasa, and Kyoya which yes was horrible and I don’t condone it in any way but he was under the influence of the dark power at that point and he never does anything quite that awful again. Anyways, onto the positives. Ryuga in Metal Fusion is the best villain the show ever had. He poses a significant threat and was the first person to legitimately defeat Gingka. He’s also a terrifying sadist that cackles at others’ pain. If Ryuga had stayed like that, I would probably still like him as a character but I certainly wouldn’t have developed a crush. Damn, that would’ve been nice. But alas, even in Metal Fusion, Ryuga is somewhat sympathetic when you remember that he is just a kid and was both used by Doji and not even in full control of himself because of the dark power. He is seen trying to resist its control in the final battle after all. It’s interesting to see a character who is literally corrupted by the power he sought out and actually does learn from his mistake. In Metal Masters, he realized that humans’ greed and hatred was what caused the dark power to be so harmful and decided to draw the power from its original source, before it was tainted by humans, and became super powerful. Even if you hate Ryuga, you have to admit that is awesome. And once he stopped being a sadistic villain, he became much more unpredictable as sometimes he would even help the main heroes in Metal Masters, albeit for selfish reasons. Ryuga sort of feels like a combination of traits I liked most in Tsubasa and Kyoya. He has the unpredictability and loner attitude of Tsubasa and the confidence and determination of Kyoya. Also, I don’t think I need to say that Ryuga is a badass. That’s not even an opinion: it’s something that we all know to be a fact. I mean, this is the guy who launched his Beyblade at a floating city, wrecking it enough to send it crashing into the water and causing a reactor meltdown that nearly destroyed the earth. That last part was unintentional and in all fairness, he did help stop the end of the world, but still, he is both powerful and reckless enough to do something like that. He was kind of frustrating in Metal Fury but I did like his friendship with Kenta and while his blind pursuit of power was annoying, I gotta admire the ambition. And… yeah, I cried at his death. I cried harder at that than anything else in this show at any other point I watched it, including when I was a kid even though I knew it was coming. Even though his motivations for fighting Nemesis were far from righteous, he still died trying to defeat the great evil and his final act was giving Kenta the star fragment to give the heroes the chance they needed to win. Ryuga died a hero, plain and simple. I wish he had lived so we could see him develop even more after that moment but either way, Ryuga is a great character. He’s the best villain in season one and I love his fiery personality and aesthetic in the following seasons.

We'll Just Go To Hawaii Instead (Alex Morgan x reader)
Tumblr media
GIF IS NOT MINE!!!
Prompt from @nessa-olivas
Sorry it's not proof read! I also got a few requests so sorry these are coming kinda late! I'm in exam season so I've been studying a lot. I hope you enjoy!
Prompt: Hi i got a uswnt imagine request ! Lol you know how alex got banned from Disney? Can you do an imagine of the whole team getting banned with her on how it all happened ? Reader can be dating any player of your choice. Please and thank you 😊
"Al!" Y/N called from the couch.
"Yeah babe!" Alex called back, she had been making morning smoothies for them in the kitchen.
"Come 'ere," Y/N yelled, "I have an idea for where we should go."
Y/N and Alex has been dating for the better part of two years now, but they hadn't found an ounce of time to go on a vacation together.
With the money they had saved together and a slightly extended offseason, they decided on their first day off, they'd look for a destination to spend their extra days.
Alex walked into the living room where Y/N was sat, right leg folded over her left, laptop resting on her lap as she scrolled through whatever website she was on.
Alex always found everything Y/N did adorable, and right now she would tell you the way she bit her lip in concentration had her hear skipping a few beats.
"Come," Y/N said again, patting a spot next to her on the couch.
Alex followed instruction, plopping down next to her girlfriend and handing her a smoothie, which Y/N thanked her for.
"So what's the plan?" Alex asked sipping her smoothie. Although she didn't want to leave the work up to Y/N, she wanted to go somewhere that Y/N enjoyed the most.
Y/N turned the computer to Alex and as soon as she saw what it said her blood ran cold, "We can't go there," she said quickly.
"What! Why?" Y/N asked almost upset, "I've never been, I really want to go," she jutted out her lip in a attempt to pout.
"We just can't," Alex said, not wanting to relive the whole scenario, yet feeling guilty for not being able to take her girlfriend where she wanted.
Y/N's eyes narrowed, "It would only be like a one or two day thing and we could drive, we could stay here, not hotel fees," she negotiated.
"Y/N, I said we can't, and we won't, that's it, end of discussion," Alex said sternly.
Y/N stayed quiet, analyzing her for a moment before a smirk was plastered on her face, "Why do you really not want to go?"
Alex looked at her and saw the look, rolling her eyes, "I don't want to talk about it. It's embarrassing. I'm surprised you don't already know.
"Oh, so if I ask, say.... Ali and Ash, they wouldn't know?" Y/N teased and Alex's eyes widened.
"No! No! You can't ask them!" She said, frantically, putting her hand over Y/N mouth as if she was going to ask them then and there.
"Why not? What about the national team girls? I'm sure they'd tell me," she said, voice muffled behind Alex's hand as she pulled out her phone.
"NO!" She said grabbed Y/N's wrist as the girl smirks at her, knowing she won, "I'll tell you why."
Alex removed her hands from her girlfriends mouth and wrist. Y/N turned her body, crossing her legs like a toddler and facing her girlfriend on the couch.
"Story time," she sang and Alex rolled her eyes.
"I thought I would never have to explain this but here we go..."
The USWNT has been to Orlando for a while. The older girls decided some team bonding was definitely needed as some of the youngsters and vets had yet to make a move on each other.
It had been a warm afternoon in the off-season and the girls all decided that going to Disney land was a fantastic idea.
At some point someone had mentioned that alcohol was going to be needed if they wanted to make it through the entire park without getting bored. So, after some pre gaming and hidden booze in a few bags, the girls were in, despite the nervous demeanor of some of the shy players. It was clear the Alyssa, Tierna, Becky, Chris, and AD were a lot more sensible and decided to be the sober ones of the group.
Anyway, it was really rowdy at first, the group travelled around laughing way too easily at stupid things and eventually found themselves in a semi private area where nobody seemed to be. They had passed all the rides and exhibitions and were now secluded.
As the sun went down and the sound of people grew quieter and quieter and the sound of the girls grew louder and louder.
The girls had lost complete track of time and were too focused on the dance competition going on between Sonnett, Crystal, and Rose. Half the girls were tipsy and somehow Kelley and Alex had managed to get completely drunk.
"HEY!" There was a loud voice that came from the shadows and the girls mouths had snapped shut.
A man appeared, he looked big, probably security, Alex wasn't paying much attention to that though.
"What are you all doing here?! It's way past hours!" He shouted and the women looked at their phones realizing that they managed to dance and sing their way into the early hours of the next morning.
"We promise sir, it's not what we intended!" Ash said pointedly, smiling at the officer in a slightly tipsy state.
"Are you drunk?" He asked, reaching over to his dispatch device, "I got what looks to be about 20 women, some intoxicated, seems to be a 10-59."
"I have no idea what that means," Sonnett said with a giggle, "but that walkie talkie thing is pretty cool, I had one as a kid," she said walking over to the officer and poking it.
"WOAH! I wanna see!" Lindsey said excitedly, going and doing the same.
Chris and Alyssa pulled the girls away, pleading with the officer to let them go, without charges.
The man started to round up the girls and Alex wasn't having any of it. Being the most drunk next to a swaying Kelley she resisted the mans hold almost immediately.
"Hey man!" She said pulling her arm out of his grip, he looked at her angrily and grabbed her arm again, pulling her towards her friends as they told her to comply.
Present day...
"I don't remember much after that, but from what Chris told me, Kelley and I challenged him to a Beyblade duel for some reason."
By now Y/N was laid down flat absolutely balling over the abomination that was that story.
"That the most chaotic thing I've ever heard in my entire life!" She said through tears of laughter.
"It's not funny! I got banned from all Disney parks, and so did everyone else! Minus like T, Chris, and some others who weren't drunk."
"Jesus Alex, what the fuck were you thinking?" Y/N had now sat up, wiping away the tears that trickled down her cheeks.
"I don't think I was," Alex admitted, "but no, we can't go to Disney Land I'm sorry," Alex hung her head in shame.
Y/N put her hand on Alex's cheeks softly and lifted her head up, still feeling giggles rising in her chest again, she planted a soft kiss on her girlfriends lips, "it's okay baby, we'll just go to Hawaii instead."
THE END

Top 10 Battles in the Metal Saga (in no particular order)
Kyoya-Ryuga
There aren’t many battles that are just about raw power the way this one is. The whole thing is just so extra, from ruining the stadium before the battle even begins to ending with Ryuga’s possession and Kyoya passing out with a dragon’s tail going through his chest. The power-play between these two is riveting. And on top of that, it’s the closest anyone but Gingka and Nemesis ever gets to beating Ryuga. However, it does annoy me that Kyoya is the only one of Ryuga’s opponents in Battle Bladers who comes out unaffected in the long-term. After their respective battles, Hikaru retires from Beyblade, Tsubasa suffers with possession, and both experience a healthy dose of PTSD but apparently, Kyoya gets away with no signs of it? I call bullshit.
2.Da Xian - Julian
If you didn’t love Da Xiang before, you had to after this battle. It did a brilliant job of highlighting how good Dashan is at manipulating people, and doing so “coolly, and brilliantly”. Dashan sees the scene as the opportunity it is and coaxes Julian from a disheartened shell of his former self to someone who’s willing to try again without the man even knowing. Oh, and he gets Julian to appreciate the value of his friends too. And beats him in battle easily. And delivers, “You think you and I are alike? That’s an insult, ” decimating Julian’s remaining pride. Talk about being cool. (Chao Xin should definitely take pointers)
3. Gingka vs 100 (supposedly) Face Hunters
I had a hard time choosing between this and the battle earlier in the episode where Gingka first saves Kenta from Face Hunters, but I think this holds more impact and the one Kenta thinks is more notable. As a fight itself, it’s short compared to some of the other more epic battles on this list, and its placement is more about the consequences of it than the contents of the actual battle itself.  It’s the moment where Kenta’s admiration for Gingka really cements, and the moment that Kyoya takes a serious interest in him, shaping his relationship with two people who will be monumental in his life. Also, Gingka looks super cool and baby Kenta is adorable.
 4.  Excalibur-Gan Gan Galaxy
This battle has one of my favourite scenes of ALL TIME- Masamune single-handedly cutting through Sophie and Wales’s joint special move. Let me just take a second to gush about how powerful he is and how much I love him and how he deserves so much more love and did I mention he stopped the twins in their track with ONE MOVE. Your fave could never but if I don’t stop now, i’ll be talking about Masamune all day.
The visual of Pegasus and Striker moving as one force, with the music crescendoing only for Destroyer to cut them down at the climax, is breathtaking. Seriously, I’ve watched that one scene on repeat and my breath catches.
I love to see Masamune and Gingka work together as a team, especially because it’s not their preferred dynamic and it doesn’t always come easily to them. But when they try, they’re magic together, partially because they’re so alike. This is the only battle where we get the full force of the Y-Masamune-Gingka dynamic, a god-tier trio who can only possess one brain cell when they’re together because otherwise, they’d be way too strong. Let’s be real. If these morons actually combined their intelligence, they would have crushed Excalibur to dust. We need more scenes with them tbh
As a side note, it was not at all ok for these guys to crash the festival or for Yu to ruin a culturally important arena. It’s played off way to lightheartedly for my tastes.  It’s not even the only time they’re insensitive- in Fury, Yu and Kyoya damage ancient ruins and Gingka’s group explicitly disobeys orders to not step on a sacred volcano. The whole thing is kinda gross and the Metal Saga should address its serious disregard for other cultures. Sophie losing her shit on a literal 12 year old was funny though.
5. The Legendary Bladers-Nemesis part 2
This is a pretty long battle, I linked it to where the battle begins but it doesn’t end until the end of the next episode. There’s a lot about this battle that drives me crazy- like why are you people just letting Kenta destroy himself, why are the strongest bladers in the world who were specifically chosen for this battle unable to withstand for more than two hits, etc  BUT- this is when Ryuga hands over the Star Fragment which is cool and emotional enough to let everything else slide. It’s a pretty satisfying conclusion to the Kenta-Ryuga arc and rings parallel to Metal Fusion down to Ryuga pulling a Storm Pegasus and disappearing into thin air.Which talking about, I will forever be mad Storm Pegasus doesn’t ever come into play after Metal Fusion. Shogun Steel would have been such a perfect time to bring Storm Pegasus back to play and assure in a new era- such wasted potential, but I digress.
Oh, and friendly reminder that Yu’s Inferno Blast breaks through Rago’s barrier while 8 Legendary Bladers combined couldn’t leave a dent on Nemesis.
6. Kenta-Reiji
Talking about emotional, if you didn’t cry during this battle, you’re a liar- it’s painful to watch. The entire thing with Kenta using Libra’s performance tip and his insistence that he has to win for Yu- it breaks your heart. Reiji is such a great villain because he does exactly what he’s meant to do- make the audience be invested in him. He’s so unnecessarily cruel, so irredeamable, and this episode drills that into your skull. Even the spectators of the match can’t look on as Reiji tortured Kenta well after Sagittario has stopped spinning.
7. Easter Island
It would take too long to name everyone involved in this, so i’m not going to. But boy is it a ride You’ve got King starting it off with Chris for insulting/defeating/humiliating Masamune- a noble cause if there ever was one. His impassioned defense of his boyfriend is one of the best speeches/declarations in the Saga and is also 80% of the reason this battle is on the list. The guy has his priorities straight, ok. Gingka says it’s either Masamune’s feelings or the world and King chooses Masamune, no questions, no hesitations. Can’t say I blame him. Especially after seeing the heartbreak on Masamune’s face when Chris insults him. But of course, the world is actually more important so
Gingka jumps in to stop King which as Benkai mentions, you can’t stop him from battling by actually battling him, so I don’t know what Gingka was thinking. Johannes’s lackies, including Aguma and the Beylin Fist, joins the battle, prompting Zeo, Toby, etc to also join. Then Ryuga appears and starts draining Chris’s power before Kenta stops him (thus publically revealing their affiliation to the world) and the two disappear. Literally everyone is involved, Johannes tells Chris to “man up” when he dares to show pain that Ryuga is literally stealing his power away but then vanishes because he doesn’t want to face Gingka head on yet. Can you say hypocrite? And while this was all happening, Johannes somehow managed to buy Chris’s loyalties.
It’s insane and so much fun.
8.Tsubasa-Jack
I didn’t expect to put this on the list but I watched it recently and had a newfound appreciation for it so here it is. While the team battle with Excalibur was the climax of Tsubasa’s arc, this was the resolution. It is arguably Tsubasa’s best battle of the series. He made his recovery with Excalibur, had a practice run with the Garcias, and by this battle, Tsubasa is better than ever. There’s a satisfaction in watching Tsubasa beat Jack with ease. After struggling the entire season, it's very cathartic. There’s this one bit where Jack is complaining about battling Ryuga and how Tsubasa can’t possibly know the disappointment he felt  and Tsubasa snaps, because how fucking dare he, who the fuck did Jack think he is. Again, very cathartic.
Irrelevant, but this episode has some of the best quotes including gems like
 “What is this? A bunch of creepy pictures”;
“Oh dear Tsubasa” queue Jack asking for a battle;
“You’re really lacking in the culture department” - Jack to Madoka,  “
The rest of Gan-Gan Galaxy are common, unrefined types”.
The list never ends. Do yourself a favour and watch the episode.
9. Zoe-Toby-Masamune
This is the only season where there’s no one Final Battle but instead two separate climactic moments- Ryuga and Gingka working together to stop Hades City from melting down(?) and Toby and Zeo  fighting to bring Toby back to normal.
Unlike the Finales in Fusion and Fury, this one’s private, personal. Not only were Ryuga-Gingka battle and the Battle against Nemesis attended by a lot of people, they were also widely broadcasted across the world. In comparison, Toby, Zeo and Masamune (and Ziggurat at one point) are the only ones to witness the Finale in Masters. It’s a very intimate moment. Their friendship is fractured-Toby's brainwashed,  Zeo was manipulated, and there’s still tension because Masamune left them in a time of need. The two of them are finally confronting just how much their friendship has strained: Masamune never imagined Zeo would resent him when he only ever wanted to fulfill Toby’s wish; he’s almost offended Zeo would think so badly of him. On the other hand, Zeo wrestles between accepting Ziggurat manipulated him but also his very valid resentment towards Masamune. They both hurt each other but get past it and forgive each other for the sake of their best friend. Bey battles are when bladers communicate through each other and in this one, these three use it to find their way back to each other.
10.
Gingka-Kyoya
Of course, the list wouldn’t be complete without a Gingka-Kyoya battle. Despite Kyoya being Gingka’s second biggest rival, they only have 3 complete battles with a clear winner. (Kyoya is disqualified in Survival Battle, and neither won in the Championships Team battle or the one in Fury). Despite there being so few options, it was still hard for me to choose because they’re all brilliant and my opinion changes every other day.
Honestly, I didn’t remember why I chose this battle, so I went back in and re-watched it- SO many thoughts. For one thing, Kyoya sounds like a cheesy bat man villain.  Seriously though, the battle feels so off to me because in this episode, Kyoya is more or less just another evil villain; a pale foreshadow of what Ryuga will become in the Final Battle. I’m not even kidding. This hits almost the exact beats that the Gingka-Ryuga battle will.  I didn’t like this battle when I re-watched it for this post. Gingka and Kyoya’s battles are important because of the history and bond they share and in this battle, neither of those are solidified and it’s just not as satisfying.
I will admit though that this battle was important for them, mostly Kyoya who was headed towards unhinged-Ryuga territory before Gingka saved him. It kickstarts Kyoya into being the lovable grump we know he’s capable of being and creates a debt towards Gingka which in turn develops into an actual friendship. It’s an important step of their journey and I can’t begrudge it too much ig. If you really want to watch a Gingka-Kyoya battle for non-thematic reasons, though, I recommend the World Championships or the one in Metal Fury Ep 1

(OC) Jim Benning goes All In on the Canucks (An Alternate Reality)
(Previous parts of this series include: Mike Milburying the Islanders, Don Cherry Drafts the Leafs, Tom Wilson-Proofing the Penguins, Dundon DIYs the Hurricanes, Re-Chiarelling the Oilers, Moneyballing the Sens, Covertly Tanking the Wild, and Frenchifying the Canadiens.)Part IIt's June 15th, 2019, and the Canucks' war room is quietly optimistic. Elias Pettersson's rookie season has completely changed the outlook of the team's future, and the addition of Quintin Hughes to their blueline late in the year gave just a peek at what was to come: things are finally going to turn around in Vancouver after years of confusion and pain. With a high draft pick and a deep 1st round, the team has every chance at drafting another star.Just then GM Jim Benning bursts through the door, trips over a scout's laptop charger, and falls headfirst into the side of the table. When he gets up, fine save a bump on his head and a rip in the back of his pants, he looks primed for business."As all of you know, my contract expires at the end of this season. Our main priority is making sure that I get extended."His assistants and scouts look nervously at eachother. "Shouldn't we be focusing on building a team that can eventually win the Cup?""Yeah, and how are we supposed to do that if I'm not the GM anymore? Get a load of this guy."Benning grabs a cup of coffee and immediately spills it all over himself. He tries to dry it off with the closest thing at hand, John Weisbrod's sandwich, creating a viscous solution of mustard and Timmies triple triple down his front. "Our best players are in their primes - we gotta be competing for a Cup before guys like Brandon Sutter and Jay Beagle start to decline. It's time, gentlemen. We're going all in.""Hold on, Jim." Jonathan Wall says. "Are you sure that's a good idea? Columbus did that last year and they're about to lose all their stars in free agency.""The guy running that team, does he still have a job?""Yeah""Then get the fuck out of here!"He places his iPhone in the centre of the table and presses on its heavily cracked screen. "I've set up a conference call with every other GM in the league. I want everyone to know we're gonna be a force to be reckoned with."The call begins. Soon everyone is on the line. It's a cacophony. Jim Rutherford's trying to order Denny's delivery at the top of his lungs; John Chayka and Kyle Dubas are arguing over whether Beyblades or Bionicle were cooler; Pierre Dorion is breathing heavily into his team-issued Motorola Razr. Eventually things quiet down.Benning begins "Gentlemen, I'm calling you all because I wanted to let you all know that I really wanna make the playoffs. Real bad. I'll do anything, I'm totally desperate. Please. Trade me some players that will make my team better so I can be in the playoffs and get a new contract. Pretty please. That's all, have a good afternoon and I await your offers."He hangs up, leans back in his chair, and winks at his colleagues. "Now we wait.""Jim, what the hell was that? We just lost all of our leverage! We're gonna get terrible offers now"Benning laughs deeply and walks towards the window of the office, his jowls dancing below his chin. "Bullshit, Jon. We just started a bidding war."The front offices' horrified faces reflect clearly in the gel of his hair.Just then, Benning's phone vibrates - a trade offer from the Lightnings' Julien Brisebois. JT Miller for a first round pick."Now there's an offer! I'm going to go ahead and accept it.""Wait hold on Jim, you can't just accept the offer. We should negotiate, check out the player, see if he's a fit."Benning rolls his eyes. "Great point, John, I'll just go ahead and check his analytics on my fancy computer." He opens his laptop and mimes typing. "Get your head out of your ass.""We should at least lottery-protect the draft pick""Fine. Are you done? You know what guys, I'm just gonna do this by myself." He excuses the rest of his staff and locks the door behind them, inadvertently breaking the knob and trapping himself inside. His phone vibrates steadily with trade offers as he waits patiently for the building services staff to find him and let him out.Part IIThe next week is very eventful.Benning met with 6'8, +11 defenceman Tyler Myers who presented him with a request for a 5 year, 6 million dollar AAV contract. After discreetly folding up the 8 year 8 million dollar offer he had prepared, Benning happily agreed; a rigorous study by the Canucks' analytics department had confirmed that Myers was 6'8 and +11.Benning went on TSN Radio and - without prompt - provided his own personal ranking of the Trade Bait board in order of how much he would be willing to trade for them. He's shocked to be fined $50,000 by the NHL, saying "they'll call anything tampering these days."Benning also lost 3 phones at the draft - not in the EA NHL way where he made bad offers or lost GM rep, he literally just lost 3 phones over the course of the weekend.Benning repeatedly ducked Vasili Podkolzin's calls, knowing that getting to know the young Russian would make it harder to trade him. He attended the Canucks' Prospect Camp but only to take cell phone videos to send to other General Managers - ultimately a waste of time as all the footage is either blocked by his thumb, accidentally taken with the selfie camera, or both.Eventually, the night before Free Agent Frenzy, Benning is ready to secure that contract playoff spot. The Canucks' scouting staff deletes their internal prospect reports like Lucius Fox shutting down the surveillance machine in The Dark Knight. The assistant general managers quietly update their LinkedIn profiles. The Canucks' social media manager solemnly prepares for the ratios.Vancouver Canucks @CanucksWE HAVE A TRADE TO ANNOUNCE: #Canucks acquire Mike Hoffman (15% retained) from the Panthers in exchange for Vasili Podkolzin, Tanner Pearson, and a 2020 4th round pick.Vancouver Canucks @CanucksBlockbuster Alert: #Canucks acquire Kyle Connor from the Jets for Quintin Hughes, Jay Beagle, Troy Stecher, and a conditional 1st round pickVancouver Canucks @CanucksAnother trade! #Canucks acquire Jack Johnson from the Penguins in exchange for Sven BaertschiVancouver Canucks @CanucksOne more for the road: #Canucks acquire Kyle Turris from the Predators in exchange for Brandon Sutter, Adam Gaudette, and a 2020 2nd round pick.Vancouver Canucks @CanucksMaking space: #Canucks have traded Loui Eriksson, a 2022 1st round pick, a 2021 2nd round pick, and Olli Juolevi to the Senators for a 2022 5th round pick.Vancouver Canucks @CanucksCanucks acquire Andrew Shaw from the Canadiens in exchange for Jett Woo and Antoine RousselVancouver Canucks @Canuckscanucks acquire matt benning for josh leivo and nils hoglanderThe Canucks, at last, are ready to compete for a playoff spot.JT Miller - Elias Pettersson - Brock Boeser Kyle Connor - Bo Horvat - Mike Hoffman Micheal Ferland - Kyle Turris - Andrew Shaw Tyler Motte - Tim Schaller - Jake Virtanen Alex Edler - Tyler Myers Jordie Benn - Chris Tanev Jack Johnson - Matt Benning Jacob Markstrom Thatcher Demko Sure, haters can say "how they hell will you afford Pettersson's extension with all that money tied up," or "what will happen when those rental contracts expire and you have no internal replacements for them" but that's a next year problem. Benning is pretty sure nobody will care about any of that when the Canucks are coming off the high of a hard fought five game elimination (with one win at home, might I add) in the first round.EpilogueA month later, Benning gets a phone call from Francesco Aquilini, the team owner."Hey Jim, we want to talk about your next contract.""Yes, Mr. Aquilini sir, don't worry, we will make the playoffs this year and I'll earn a new contract for sure. Just give me a chance. Please don't fire me, I promise I'll make the playoffs. Please mister owner sir, please let me stay.""What? No, Jim, we're ready to offer you a multi-year extension right now. Are you interested?"Benning looks at his phone in shock. "Uh, yeah, yes sir, I'd be very happy to. I'll have to review the terms of the contract of course but I would be very much interested in that."A week later, his sleeve covered in ink and his heart full of joy, Jim Benning officially signs a contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks. And at last the world is quiet. (OC) Jim Benning goes All In on the Canucks (An Alternate Reality) Source

Ginga : an underrated character ?
I saw again someone describe Ginga as "the idiot one who loves burgers". It makes me so annoyed ! I don't tell you to like him, but look at him like he is and stop talking him down by summing him up at two or three details.
Tumblr media
First, he saves the world four times from the beginning of Fusion until the end of Fury.
Let's go back at the beginning of the first season. Ginga believed for MONTHS his father died before his eyes. Many people seemed to forget this traumatism... It's not because it was no true in the end that it erase everything Ginga felt and lived. He. Believed. His. Father. Was. Dead. For. MONTHS. Right in front of him. The happy-go-lucky Ginga has one of the darkest past of all the Beyblade World (I tell on purpose Beyblade and not MFB). He traveled alone for months to fight alone an organization able to (literally) kill people and a power so evil it was imprisonned for centuries. Ginga believes it was his duty (well, a big weight for someone so young...). He doesn't even whine or complain. He goes on like it's perfectly normal.
Plus, consider the guilt he feels. He doesn't success to do anything to save his father. A weight that combines at the others.
Despite all of this, Ginga still finds time to help people he meets (cf. Kenta vs Face Hunter). His words when he faces Kyouya, at his come back from the Wolf Canyon, are full of empathy and comprehension. He sees the sadness of Leone.
Plus, Ginga is kind of great to judge the other characters. Right after meeting Kyouya, he declares that he had potential as a blader. He doesn't bear grudge against Kyouya and Benkei despite the Face Hunter thing (and the Wolf Canyon thing for the first one, later) and accept them in his group. He holds a hand to Yuu, Helios, Aguma, Bao and Chris, while they were in the other side. Because he could tell (he was even SURE) they weren't bad people. Ginga saved Ryuuga's life despite the anger and hatred he feels first, because of his father's "death" then because Kyouya's wound. Because he sees his acts were, in part, because of the Dark Power.
But Ginga doesn't try to reach every person he meets. He doesn't hold a hand to Reiji, Busujima, Damian, Pluto, Johannes and Ragou. He knows it would be useless.
And the way he accepts the others, with their personnalities, is quite impressive. He doesn't try to change them or to force them to see the world as he sees it (he only talks to them about the Blader Spirit... because they already have one). For example, in the 105th episode, in Fury : "I can tell you I know more about him than anyone. He certainly have a self-centered , no doubt about it, in here he's filled with a heated Bey Spirit just like the rest of us". The French Version : "It's true he has an egoistic and hard side, I can acknowledge it, but in here he has a true Blader Spirit like the rest of us".
Ginga is the one who allows other characters to evolve. Kyouya was only a little gang leader when they first met (and he hadn't a tenth of the strenght he possesses after deciding he's Ginga's rival). And he would still be without Ginga (or, bored, he would have leave). Benkei too. Kenta wouldn't be able to stand up to others (and, let alone, to follow Ryuuga around). Yuu would still be at Dark Nebula's mercy. Teru wouldn't have found the Beyblade as a new passion. Etc.
(Well, none of the character would have these problems for long since the world would be destroy by the Dark Power without Ginga...)
And, like someone else point  it out, Ginga is also smart in Beybattle. Without any help, he finds how to conquer Leone's tornado only by seeing his scarf sweeping away in the wind. He also locates the true Aquario in the midst of its illusions by using the sun's reflection on the metal. He found the time to think about that kind of details in the heart of a battle.
BONUS
About his love for burgers... So what ? As if many people doesn't have any favorite food they could eat almost every day, without tiring of it... He  is allowed to act as a kid now and again, isn't he ? (plus, Koma is kind of a godforsaken place... burgers are surely a new discovery for him...)
