Postanowiłam przetłumaczyć kilka potraw od tego twórcy. Planuję przetłumaczyć je wszystkie, ale zobaczymy 😅

Nie lubię tłumaczyć tak krótkich modów, ale tak zbiorowo jest o wiele wygodniej.

🍲 Miso Soup - To zupa miso, tradycyjna japońska zupa, która może składać się z wielu różnych składników, ale najważniejsze są bulion dashi i pasta miso. Ta wersja wykorzystuje wegetariański bulion dashi i jest wypełniona tofu, aby wszyscy twoi wegetariańscy Simowie mogli się nią cieszyć.

🍗 Chicken Katsu Curry - To kurczak katsu, japońskie danie curry (czasami znane jako kurczak panko lub tori katsu). Wednesday lunch on Tuesday evening:

Wagamama's chicken katsu curry, with a side of lettuce.

The parts are going to in the fridge separately and will be assembled in the morning. The metal container (where the curry sauce is) is part of an electric heated lunchbox, which works best if there's liquid. So the sauce goes in first, then meat, then rice on top.

Katsu curry sauce recipe:

It freezes ok, so I doubled it and made it a gift to future me. It took about half an hour to make, I didn't time it exactly but I started taking out the ingredients at the same time as I was preheating the toaster oven to cook the breaded cutlet (shop bought) and by the time the meat was done, the sauce also was.

I improvised a salad dressing, since I was missing some ingredients for wagamama's recipe

So mine was:

- 4 tbsp peanut oil

- about one heaped tablespoon of gari picked ginger

- a splash rice vinegar since the gari was a bit dry

- 1 clove of garlic confit

- 1 tbsp soy sauce

- tamarind sauce

All blitzed together until the chunks were small.

Yes, I didn't have ketchup in the fridge but I have tamarind sauce 🤷

Actually I do have ketchup, but it's the spicy one, and since the curry sauce is spicy already I didn't want to overdo it.

Garlic confit is a bit of a project to make, but it lasts a long time, it's more gentle on the stomach, and you have perfectly cooked garlic on hand at any time, without getting you hands dirty. It's the gift that keeps on giving for your future self.

Brought mum to the coffee shop near my new place for lunch. Got my Teh Siew Dai (milk tea less sweet) and Kopi O (coffee black) for mum while she went to the economy rice stall to select her dishes. She chose a piece of braised pork belly with preserved vegetables (梅菜扣肉), omelette and a herbal chicken drumstick for her Economy Rice (菜饭).

I took the western food option and ordered the Happiness Plate which consisted of three pieces of fried chicken, toast, fries and coleslaw. I love the well-seasoned and juicy chicken though they are on the small side.

On behalf of sis, I got her the Chicken Katsu Don from Maruhachi Donburi & Curry. I think this is the last time I ordered from them as they close this branch not long after this.

There's something so so nice about eating a warm meal at a small, almost hidden, local restaurant...

The people are so nice, the food is amazing despite being on the cheaper end and I always leave with a happy feeling mixed with a sweet sadness that its gone followed by the freshness of knowing you'll probably be back soon.

It's my 20th birthday on Saturday!! Today I went bowling and just now finished eating a meal at restaurant.

What do the Nameless characters have at restaurant?

Headcanons

I think that Lance, Yeonho and Red are the kinda people who would order the exact same meal every single time (so me core)

Yuri would mix it up a bit, mostly having steaks, but any meal he has, he will always have with salad

Tei, being a passionate cook, would enjoy trying lots of different things then see if he'd want to make that at home. Yeonho also likes learning new recipes to make like Tei but in terms of eating them, he just prefers the same thing all the time

Eri likes trying every different thing on the menu so each time she goes she tries something different until she lands on a favourite. She'll still mix it up a bit tho but I think maybe she likes spicy dishes like chilli con carne.

The first time Lance went to the restaurant, Eri recommended him the chicken korma, so he has that every time

Yeonho likes his Mac n cheese with a side of chips

And Red always has pizza and cherry Coke

I think the only thing that would make this different would be if the restaurant was super fancy. And obviously. Options for food will be different in South Korea in comparison to England so I can't rly speak for Korean food but I'd say that's what they'd have over here

Brought mum to Causeway Point for shopping and had an early dinner at Food Republic. Ordered the Beef Tendon & Tripe Noodles Soup (S$11) from The Hong House Beef Noodles as mum enjoyed it the last time she had it.

I myself went for the Chicken Katsu Omelette Original Curry Rice (S$8.40) from Washoku Goen. It came with an omelette blanketing the white rice and topped with a deep-fried breaded chicken cutlet. The other half of the plate is filled with Japanese curry gravy and potato cubes. The chicken is both crispy and succulent and the curry seasoned more toward savoury and spicy rather than sweet which is a good thing for me.
