The BBC lady blowing my mind by pointing out the parallels between the endings of North and South and Jane Eyre (man brought low after losing his fortune, woman has gained wealth and comes to his rescue so they're now on equal footing).

She also pointed out that North and South is a continuation of issues Bronte explored in Shirley (to the point that Helstone is named after a character there), so I guess I may have to read that book one day.

Since Hatchetfield is popping off here at the minute, I'd like to share the advent calendar my brother made me so you can be just as proud as I am.

Okay so I was out again today walking in a shopping center/mall after my therapy sentence and I was shopping in a clothing store and some kids (teenagers — most likely 15-16 years old) were making fun of me because my stomach rolls and stretch marks were showing

And then this super nice lady came up to me (she was probably mid 50s) and told them off about it and got them kicked out of the store and after that she told me how beautiful she thought I was and that she liked how my body looked just the way it was

This is what I looked like when she started defending me (because I couldn’t even defend myself) and started complimenting me

Current obsession: You've caught me in a(n almost embarrassingly) shoujo, what is love but a rekindled faith in humanity, sublime period where my dark and angsty tolerance is close to non-existent. If I had a new otome that looked interesting I'd be playing it, but for now I satisfy that 'need' with BG3 spoilers. I know it's not the same.
