Questions for both operatoe and drifter Luncan.
Drifter!Luncan: Given he's with Bombastine, what is his opinion on Luscinia? Does he listen to the poison (badum tss) fed to him by Bombastine, or does he have some other opinion of her?
Operator!Luncan: What was his time in the Zariman like then vs now? Does he have any opinions on Tales of Duviri? What does he think of the Holdfasts?
For Lucan:
He knows well enough not to listen to what Bombastine has to say about other people, he knows exactly what the man represents. It is a bit draining for him to mindlessly agree even when he doesn't believe in it himself. Lucan does a lot just to avoid any unneeded arguments that are easily started with Bombastine.
Infact he kinda gets what Luscinia feels, as deep under his uncaring outer shell, he's quite depressed himself, more than happy to allow Lodun to beat on him as a form of self punishment for just existing.
For Luc:
During the school years he was a very fun kid, full of love and always wanting to be the class clown, enjoying making the other students laugh or just to brighten up their days. He had a loving family before the jump, friends he loved to hang out with. Luc was, and still is, the kind of kid that will talk to anyone, trying his hardest to befriend them.
After the jump he stayed mostly the same, at least on the outside. The events of the gave have definitely caused trauma, but Luc hides it underneath his friendly, happy-go-lucky outside. He wants to be seen as the strong one, who others can always turn to if they need help, while not giving himself the same treatment.
Luc really isn't the smartest boy, but his heart is big and secretly hurting. He's known to put himself in danger to try and use compassion to overcome issues with enemies, sometimes putting himself at major risk of being taken advantage of or betrayed / killed. (Like he's out here hugging the bone-marrow walls to try and appease Wally, which is probably Not going to work. )

Luc enjoys the storybook, I'd say he's totally a 'dragons are SO cool' kind of kid. He also likes the Holdfasts a lot, at least most of them. He sees them as a positive parental style of adult (which is really easy for someone to become for him, just show him care and he likes you very quickly). Though with Cavalero, Luc has a bit of a tougher time, feeling more like he could get scolded by Cav but respects him non-the-less.
Out of everyone he likes Yonta the most, which reminds him of his own mother before the events of the warp jump.

HEHEHE YESSS!!!! Laz is my tenno oc (not the operator OR the drifter but a secret third thing (fusion of both that happened by accident)) and he and his husband seem to be on a quest to collect guys who just objectively kinda suck, with varying degrees of success. in duviri, laz got pretty lonely and at some point decided he was most likely to get attention by bothering lodun and pissing him off on purpose. it wasn’t long before laz got genuinely attached to the bastard, but his attempts at conveying affection seem to make him just as angry as teasing him did. lodun is in denial LMFAO but he’ll come around he just needs to be like… socialized. not used to having genuine friends, let alone anything further. he’s like a feral cat. he needs to be held until he stops biting. why don’t you get some hugs from a beautiful idiot and then maybe you’ll calm down

cav and laz had a similar dynamic going on at first, but by the time they reach a max-holdfast-rank point cav is a little more mellowed out and appreciates laz’s company a lot more tbh. they started off just like sparring and play fighting for fun (mostly boredom and pent up energy on cavs end, but laz just does this sort of thing for fun. beating the shit out of eachother is a time honored bonding activity btwn him and other tenno in his clan and to him it only naturally extends to anyone else he considers a friend) but well um. you know how it can get when you’re wrestling with the homies. guys being dudes, we’ve all been there.

Small story i felt like writing
It's mostly about my OC Revive and heavily inspired by @pavooko and their void angel AU, i really recommend checking out their stuff! It's really good! :D anyways, onto the small story :P anyways onward we go!
Xerxes belongs to my partner @agrievousmistake
Revive felt stone fingers coiled around her wrist, urging the cup closer to her mouth. She couldn't see him, but she knew. The moment she tasted the silver oily liquid, she couldn't stop herself. She downed the whole thing, a stinging, bitter chemical taste on her tongue. The consistency was that of syrup, the smell that of fuel fumes was comforting to her, almost sparking an old habit within her, an urge that was instantly drowned out by how harshly it stung her tongue.
Almost immediately, her body wretched forward, acid stinging her throat, clawing to try to escape. Her fingers on the cup-holding hand were stained with silver, which slowly solidified and burned into her skin. Her clonerot had already been healed by void metal, but now branches of solid, thick metal vines burrowed through the upper most layer of her skin. There was a loud plastic hitting the floor sound, yet it fell upon death ears. She felt as if her blood had rushed to her head, her ears ringing, and her senses muddled.
She felt as if her bones had all snapped at once, as if her body had been drenched in gasoline and set ablaze, something that seemed... familliar to her. Something she recalled **enjoying** yet she knew that couldn't be possiblel, her mind had to be pkaying tricks on her, eventually, her thoughts were taken over by that dreadful song again while every single nerve screamed in agony, the song in her mind finally reached a deafening peak as she felt her body connect with the ground. The thud was barely audible, but the pain of hitting the floor was intensified by the burning sensation.
She battled with herself internally, trying to keep what remained of her. It wasn't until she felt a soothing liquid slide its way down her throat that she regained her senses, her body was struck by intense trembles, and she saw thick vomit sprayed out across the floor. Her nose stung with the fumes of fuel, and her mouth burned with the chemical taste, a taste that was slowly but surely being eased by whatever she'd eagerly drank.
Her back felt heavy, weighed down by massive, curling wings made of void-angel metal. The metal on her skin and her new-formed wings created half circles and were full of deep holes. Sudden warmth brushed over her shoulder, and Cavalero lifted her to her feet. "You okay, kid?" He questioned. She realized her body had turned cold, like that of a corpse, the warm touch of her friend felt like fire.
She didn't fully register what was going on, eventually just simply using him as support. "I'm fine." She hissed, adamant about needing help, and despite Cavalero's best efforts to at least help her out of the area, she refused the help. "I can handle myself." Revive snarled, an almost ethereal undertone accompanying her voice, almost blending in with the song that still hadn't left her mind. It was quieter, but it still hadn't left.
Cavalero scoffed, crossing his arms as he watched the woman stumble around "Sure you don't 'vive" He didn't sound angry, he just sounded dissapointed and wished she'd just learn to accept help. He had trouble with it himself, but seeing her refuse to ask for help, let alone even talk to them, almost hurt. Well, it didn't almost hurt. It did.
He followed Revive to make sure she made it back to her dormizone safely, seperating once she was there to talk to the drifters.
Within a few hours, Revive was making food, albeit almost burnt food, but still consumable. She turned, and her wings annoyingly knocked a plant pot over, the ceramic cracking. She let out a string of curses, glaring at the sight of her wings in her prepfieral vision.
A loud, obnoxious knock on her door sounded, and she wrenched it open. "What." She snarled, before she stopped "Darkzone. Thought you fucked off to Duviri. What are you back for?" Darkzone shifted awkwardly "Well, when Xerxes told me you'd drunk the fuel, or as i like to call it, "forbidden juice" i just had to come make sure you were okay" Darkzone fidgeted with her cloak.
Revive raised an eyebrow, gesturing fornher to continue "Well, Xerxes didn't want babysitting du-" "BABYSITTING DUTY? I AM NOT A BABY!" Revive protested, cutting Darkzone off instantly "Fuck off. Go back to Duviri. Say hi to Thrax for me." She shut the door with a loud slam.
She crawled into bed, curling up, her wings wrapping around her, after hours of tossing and turning, counting tamms, she finally fell asleep

at ~ 1.5k hours I feel like I'm finally starting to get into melee stances, so getting melee stance progression is pretty hype; my partner told me to temper my expectations because they look rather soulsian, and I tend to hate soulsian influences bleeding into my games lol As an aside: to answer a long-left-unanswered question from @pink-beast-rhino​, I historically dislike dark-souls-type boss battles, and I therefore hated fighting the Archons in TNW. I found them difficult to the point of mind-numbing frustration. Which is why I won't go back to an Archon Hunt because like. Why. It’s just not fun for me.

seriously though the duviri randomized loadout is SUCH a neat idea that I am eager to get my hands on (this coming from someone who tended to play mostly Random Heroes in my Overwatch days)

painstakingly placing dinnerware & nutrient cubes in my orbiter made me think about my drifter & operator's relationships to food and the zariman.... i'll stick the word stream under a cut bc it will touch on disordered eating habits.
i think drifter (i feel bad for still not having a name for them but. i hate naming characters.) is a big snacker... i think being on the run for infinite years in duviri really hampered their ability to sit down and stomach an entire meal because taking the time to prepare a meal, let alone relax and eat the entire thing, was out of the question. i think after they leave duviri the dormizone is basically like heaven to them because... it's the first place in an infinitely long period of time where they can just Sit Down and have a meal. even if the meal is just cubes of raw biomolecules lol
i think operator (i don't have a name for them either.) feels similarly anxious about meals but has gotten better at eating properly with prompting from the lotus, ordis, teshin etc. however i think they do not step foot on the zariman ever and don't even like having zariman furniture in their orbiter. they allow it in places where drifter often is, begrudgingly, which in my orbiter is a tiny improvised room in the hallway near the personal quarters... but it's not allowed IN the personal quarters or transference room, where operator spends most of their time.
so basically the scene in TNW where drifter and operator eat a meal together, drifter is having the time of their life, sharing what THEY view as symbolic of comfort and safety with operator, and operator is about to have a panic attack.
i ALSO think hombask feels very similarly to drifter in the sense that food and specifically full meals are a comfort to her... iirc if you look at her bed on the zariman you can see that she has a tray with nutrient cubes on it on top of her mattress. so she was either eating breakfast in bed or snacking while relaxing... i think she's big on snacks / food in general / making sure she and the people she cares about get full, nutritious meals, not just because she was a homesteader, but because she feels residual guilt over her role in the zariman's food shortages, and remembers herself what starvation feels like and what it does to you... she doesn't want anyone to have to be in that place again. i think she is HUGE on cooking and she & drifter really dote on whomever they can and bring them food constantly. quinn and yonta are grateful to hombask for that (though yonta doubts they need to eat anymore, i think they like having something that gives their lives a feeling of normalcy). cavalero gets annoyed by it because he is self-destructive and a walking embodiment of r/malelivingspace and doesn't like being reminded that he doesn't know how to live like a normal human being

DUVIRI CHANGES: Updated the Duviri Steel Path access message to properly indicate what nodes must be completed to access the Steel Path, as previously announced in this PSA. Removed the Duviri Starting Path from the New Player Experience. Now, all new Tenno will start with the Vor's Prize Quest, and the Duviri Paradox will be available to them after its completion. After months of review of player behavior, we are making this change to give all new players an accurate representation of core Warframe gameplay before we introduce them to the magic of Duviri.  Offering two Starting Paths for new players was an experiment -- and not one we regret -- but a key part of experimentation is continued iteration after the fact to ensure the best player experience possible. Tenno who already chose the Drifter Path should not be affected! Removed a Dax Arcus spawn point in Castle Town that could bother players visiting Acrithis after the Orowrym fight. Pathos Clamps, Kullervo’s Bane, and Steel Essence will now appear in the reward banner that appears at the top of the screen in Duviri instead of sliding in from the side. Updated the waypoint marker functionality when retrieving the Orvius from the Rablit in the Orowyrm fight. Upon approaching the area where the Rablit spawns, a new waypoint will appear on the Rablit directly, telling you where to grab your Orvius from! Added improvements to the area marker for the “Hidden Chest” objective to help guide players to the Chest. The area marker will shrink as time passes, and will disappear entirely once the Chest is found. Improved the transition from Paragrimm back to Drifter after completing the “Recover the Paragrimm’s Tomes” Objective. Now, the screen will fade to black during the transition, and the Tome on the Paragrimm's pedestal will no longer glow once the objective is c
ompleted. Missed note: Removed Luscinia’s Opera singing in the Undercroft. Due to the smaller tile, the singing was easily triggered a lot with players crossing paths with it often which created a lot of auditory noise. Enable Hint Transmissions toggle in your Audio Settings will now also apply to non-critical game mode transmissions in the Undercroft. When toggled off, Teshin will wax a little less poetic about Void Angels and choose instead to watch your progress silently from afar. The Duviri Shawzin screen will now auto-close after completing the song and earning the side objective reward. Re-entering the Shawzin screen after the initial completion will not automatically exit you out for any further songs you play. This change was made to remove the awkward waiting period after finishing your song before you earned your Decree. Now it will automatically close once your Decree is earned, and you can simply interact with the Shawzin again if you wish to continue your jam session.   GENERAL CHANGES: Modular Components that can earn Mastery will now show if that component is Mastered when viewed in a Vendor Menu (ex: viewing Zaw Strikes at Hok). Reduced the intensity of camera static effect when using Security Cameras in Break Narmer missions. Kullervo will now turn to face the direction of the reticle when casting Collective Curse while stationary. Adjusted Kullervo’s Wrathful Advance teleport to accommodate for his melee attack movement, meaning players are less likely to slide right past enemies. Improved the transition between the death and ragdoll animations to be more natural and smooth. Also improved enemies getting up and recovering from a ragdolled state. Slightly smoothed and improved the Rifle aiming animation. Player HUD and Chat scale values now change based on chosen video resolution if those settings are set to the default values, or if you are starting the game for the first time. Increased the IPS (Impact, Puncture, Slash) Damage of the following Mods: Rupture - Increased Impact Damage from 30% to 90% Disruptor - Increased Impact Damage from 30% to 90% Piercing Hit - Increased Puncture Damage from 30% to 90% Flechette - Increased Puncture Damage  from 30% to 90% Sawtooth Clip - Increased Slash Damage from 30% to 90% Shredder - Increased Slash Damage from 30% to 90% Concussion Rounds - Increased Impact Damage from 60% to 90% No Return - Increased Puncture Damage from 60% to 90% Razor Shot - Increased Slash Damage from 60% to 90% Updated the Incarnon Form transformation animations for the Dual Toxocyst.
