This sculpture, created in collaboration with Arte Feudo is a heartfelt tribute to the Japanese psychedelic horror film Hausu (Nobuhiko Obayashi, 1977). With it we honor creative freedom in film and the art of framing.
Just like in the movie, this cat couldn't be more cursed: its eyes, lips and fangs shine under ultraviolet light and on the back of its neck it has lips that hide an eye.
It's made with polyurethane resin, marble powder, acrylic paint with fluorescent details, wax patina with Judean Bitumen and UV resin.
It's 8.5 cm tall, so the eye on the back of its neck is exactly the same size as the human eye.
Available in Arte Feudo’s Etsy Shop.

Finished the urn for my Squeak. I bawled again while putting her ash and the shirt, which I was wearing when I held her the last time, inside.
Squeak came to my place as a kitten in 2007. She never failed me to cheer me up when I was hurt, and multiplied the joy when I was happy. She passed away on my chest November 18th 2023
I miss her so much. She sits next to Tibbs' urn on my work desk now.
31cm x 15cm x 18cm acrylic paints on white earthenware.
Louis XV Ormolu-Mounted Chinese Turquoise-Glazed Porcelain Cat
This extraordinary Chinese porcelain cat in transparent turquoise blue with violet glaze and aubergine paws- seated on a finely chased gilt-bronze cushion- is an important rediscovery, having been recently identified in the collection of the collection of the celebrated Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764), mistress of the French King Louis XV.

Hey guess who finished what was supposed to be a week-long project in a day 👀
Aaaanyway here’s my second cat sculpture!! It still needs to dry and get sanded before being fired, but hey! I got the most important part done! My inspiration here is the work of Rosina Wachtmeister! Here’s some of her work:
Her cat sculptures are super fun and uncanny and I really hope to own one for myself one day. 💜 But for now, I’ll make my own uncanny cat :)
this lovely kitty was a commission for @dimsilver, who has kindly given me permission to post pictures of him. he was one of the commissions where everything came out right, like a good dream.
[image descriptions: a ceramic sculpture of a black-and-white cat displayed on a glass surface. The cat is looking upwards, tail held high and crooked at the end, front right paw raised. He has green eyes and a pink nose, black patches on his head and back. The cat's tail is black, his chest and paws all white. His muzzle has little indents to indicate whisker pores.]
