Garden of Lights
notes: for once, dottore decided to be romantic. I had this idea ever since I found out what the inside of the ruin golem looked like. dottore is possessing my brain at this point.

Out of the many words you associated with il Dottore, "romantic" had never been one of them. Many would describe him as cold or cruel. In the presence of others he seemed indifferent towards you. Yet what Dottore lacked in obvious displays of affection, he made up for in companionship.
His love for you showed in the little things he did. How, after a long day spent in his lab he'd join you on the sofa, reading a book with you and gently leaning against you as you could feel his tense muscles relax. Or that he was always looking out for your health; something he had never done for anyone else. How he went out of his way to buy you new pancakes at the bakery across the street when he burnt the ones he tried to make you for breakfast.
You'd exit your shared bedroom, still tired and talk to him while standing in the doorframe. "What's that smell?", you raised your eyebrows. "The usual", Dottore replied, calmly putting out the fire in the pan. "Arson?" "Breakfast."
"Hmm", you'd reply and go back to bed.
But today was different. The two of you were up early, as you were on a "business" trip in Sumeru and Dottore insisted he had something to show you. "Something" apparently required a very long hike towards Devantaka Mountain.
"Are we there yet?", you whined, trying to catch up with him. "What are you, 5?", he teased you and gave you an amused grin, "does a little walking make you this exhausted?" "If you turn it into half a marathon by having the speed of a feral Rishboland Tiger, yes it does", you sighed and Dottore laughed but slowed down instinctively to make sure you wouldn't overexert yourself. He'd let you hold his hand and decided as much as he wanted to get to the point of why you went on this journey in the first place, he'd let you take a look at the scenery and would try to make the hike enjoyable for you.
You eventually arrived at the giant Ruin Golem that decorated the landscape of the mountain. "Here we are", Dottore said proudly, "almost set this thing loose on the capital in my Akademiya days....ah, good times." You gave him a concerned look as he entered the giant machine with you. "Is this safe?", you asked, "like, a normal person's understanding of safe?" "Don't worry, I'm not going to activate it...", he said, "...not today at least." He guided you through the tunnel entrance until the two of you arrived in a huge dark space inside of the Ruin Golem.
Dottore used a switch on the side of the tunnel.
You suddenly saw the whole interior of the Ruin Golem light up. There were hundreds of small lamps that looked like they all had been attached to the metallic hall by hand. It was a beautiful sight, looking like some sort of industrial light garden. Did Dottore do this for you? This must have taken a ton of work....
You marveled at the fairy lights decorating the rusty stairs and walls and then turned to Dottore who had taken off his mask and was looking at you with an uncharacteristically gentle smile that you didn't get to see too often. You walked towards him and wrapped your arms around him, pressing your cheek against his chest. "This is beautiful, Dottore...", you smiled at him and kissed him lovingly, running your hand through his hair which you knew was an action he loved.
"Want to dance or something?", he asked casually but there was a hint of nervousness in his voice. Likely because this was so untypical of him that he didn't want you to tease him. "You're so romantic today", you remarked in surprise but took his hand nevertheless and thus his offer for a dance. "We can also terrorize a village with the giant robot if that's more on brand", he rolled his eyes and wrapped an arm around your waist. "Let's not do that", you chuckled and Dottore used what looked like a small remote. Music started playing in the background and he swayed to the music with you. He accidentally stepped on your feet a couple of times. "Do you have any experience with dancing?", you asked him. "I read a book, does that count?" "It does not."
You chuckled and tried to teach him a little until he was looking into your eyes, concentrating on the dance. You wondered what was going on in his mind right now, his facial expression was unreadable but he looked like he was analyzing the way you made him feel. He looked a little puzzled so you decided to test his reaction by giving him a soft kiss onto his lips. He didn't react at first. He just kept staring at your face.
Then he leaned in for another kiss, pressing his lips to yours and kissing you slowly but passionately. He pulled you closer to his chest and sighed into the kiss while his hand was caressing your cheek.
"So", you inquired after parting from him, "what's the occasion? As much as I adore all this, you have to admit it's a little unlike you." He shrugged. "I suppose you're right. Well, there's something I've been meaning to ask you."
He reached into the pocket of his coat to pull out a small box. He opened it to reveal an intricately designed silver ring to you. He didn't kneel down but it was still evident what he was trying to do. "I made it in my lab", he explained and looked into your eyes, "we've been together for a while now and I thought we might as well." He tried to play it cool as he was obviously unfamiliar with a situation like this and didn't really know how to approach asking you for your hand in marriage. "Will you marry me, y/n?", he asked quietly.
You nodded with tears in your eyes and pulled him into a tight hug, burying your face in his neck. Oh great, emotion, what do I do now?, Dottore thought and awkwardly patted your head. He put the ring onto your finger and gave you a forehead kiss.
"Thank you", he then said, avoiding eye contact, "for understanding me. For accepting me the way I am. And for letting me into your heart even though I'm...not easy to love." You cupped his cheek and smiled at him as you pressed another kiss to his lips. "You were an aquired taste, I admit that", you chuckled and ran a hand through his soft hair, "but I assure you, by now loving you is one of the easiest things for me to do."
You smiled down at the ring and ran your finger over it, reaching for the gemstone on it. Dottore swatted your hand away. "Careful that's the button for the scalpel."
You raised your eyebrows at him. "You included a scalpel function in my engagement ring?", you stared at him for a moment, "nevermind, why am I surprised, it's you." "Think of it as a self-defense mechanism", he shrugged.
You pulled him close again and let him hold you in his arms. "What now?", you asked quietly. "Well, we could stay here for a while. Or watch the stars on top of the machine", he squeezed your hand and grinned at you, "or we could-" "We're not activating this thing, Dottore."
"If that's your wish", he sighed and kissed your forehead, "can we use a ruin machine as our flower girl? Machines have a way better aim than children. Or Columbina for that matter." "Fine", you shook your head and leaned your forehead against his shoulder, "I love you, crazy."
Dottore chuckled. "Love you too."

monarch rant
here’s a oops not so little review because i watched the first two episodes with @actuallylukedanes which meant no liveblogging but i won’t be watching any more so it’s time to share my thoughts (spoilers behind the cut):
literally the best thing about this show is its logo. i had to see it multiple times before i realized there was a glittering gold thin-as-wire butterfly embedded in the title card, and i had a genuine moment of enjoyment at the wordplay i hadn’t even understood they were trying to go for. i’ll always be the girl who got a cheap butterfly tattoo for no reason as soon as it was legal. give me a butterfly and i’m happy
this show was heavily marketed as ‘susan sarandon plays the matriarch of a reigning country music family, full of drama about the business and relationships.’ it was NOT marketed as ‘susan sarandon plays the country star who is the center of a family, and she DIES IN THE PILOT to kick off the drama and will only appear in flashbacks and weird hologram contrivances for the rest of the show.’
because susan sarandon’s character was by far the most compelling one, as well as the center the family revolves around, killing her off immediately lessened any interest i had in the show, and turned all the other characters into worse versions of themselves.
she and anna friel honestly played a great mother and daughter dynamic, they were interesting to watch (for the one episode of screentime they got). but anna friel is better than her character and the writing, tbh.
when she’s told she has to sing backup for her father instead of advance her solo ambitions, she declares all fiercely to her brother that she’ll find a way to make her stardom happen. i had a moment of excitement during the performance that followed, thinking maybe she would surprise everyone and blend a song of hers with what her dad was singing, show she had unexpected talent and was her own person. but nope, she did what she was told, and that line didn’t lead anywhere.
so far, that was true of the whole show--no surprises to be found. the show’s ‘twists’ were telegraphed so hard and far in advance that they only surprised me when i expected them to do something else because they couldn’t possibly be that obvious, and then they did the obvious thing.
the show also clearly thinks that guns are inherently dramatic, as if they can replace actual drama and plot--there were two firings of a weapon and two menacing scenes of caressing or bracing with one, just in the two episodes i watched. again, these were played for drama and often as cliffhangers...like ‘in three months an unknown person will be shot by this central character. you have to stick around now until we tell you who and why, right? right?!?’
the only thing monarch apparently loves more than casual gun use is people having affairs. the grand family of country in this universe includes the parents and their three children. the big regret (and drama) in susan sarandon’s life involves a youthful barn arson she committed with a person inside, and it’s implied that she was trying to kill her husband’s mistress.
both of her daughters are married to people who are actively cheating on them, and her son who isn’t married is the other half of one of those affairs. it’s a lot, but not in a ooh-how-scandalous way. it mostly just makes it harder to believe any of these characters care about each other or are worth rooting for.
the other half of that being the sisters dynamic, which i would have enjoyed if it had followed the arc it hinted at at first, where the younger fat and queer sister chose not to sing because her mother had belittled her into believing she wasn’t good enough. watching her come into her own and struggle with the way it would hurt her sister if she took the spotlight, because we initially see her loving her sister deeply, could have been interesting.
but as soon as we start to see her talent unfold, it turns out she secretly wanted to be famous all along and believed she was superior to her sister, and was basically ‘letting’ her have the spotlight in a patronizing way that made her unlikeable to me after that. i have no interest in a battle between two famous daughters who both believe they’re entitled to the crown and look down on each other.
meanwhile their abusive father takes his grief out on his weirdly-straight son...whose very first scene is SO queer-coded, leander and i were genuinely shocked he was sleeping with his sister’s wife.
if it isn’t painfully clear, i found the show really boring, and was forced to realize that i just don’t watch shows like this anymore. shows where the story is just ‘these people are conventionally attractive and interacting in today’s world and everything is very dramatic but their problems bore me.’
i watch a lot of dramas with supernatural or scifi or procedural elements now and comedies that also know how to make me cry...the only exception i could come up with after days of trying is succession, which feels so well-crafted and shakespearean that i never even think of it as a plain drama or a soap.
i wish i could say the music made the experience worth it, but i don’t enjoy classic country music much and that style is really prominent. there was one anna friel song that was kind of good, and one scene where the grandson sings--but it was only his voice i liked and he was singing with his grandfather. i read that there would be a ‘born this way’ cover and was looking forward to that, but it didn’t happen in the episodes i watched.
i’m happy to move on now, and needed to rant, because the viewing made for a fun discussion and hanging out experience but i cannot believe--given the people involved--what bad television it was.

//Unqualified//
Mental Health Advice by Vicky Figueiredo
Tumblr media
Remember that part in Chuck Palahniuk’s Fight Club where the narrator goes “You are not your job, you're not how much money you have in the bank. You are not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet…” etc etc, insert foul language here? Maybe the semantics there are a little angsty and edgelord-worthy, but the idea is right. I’m not suggesting that you go out and commit arson or organize Operation Mayhem 2.0 in order to feel alive again, but I do agree that we are all way more than architect, interior designer, landscape architect, administrator, and everything that those positions connote. We’re each interesting, unique, imperfect human beings who deserve more than reducing our entire lives to what we do to earn a paycheck. All together, now: “I am more than my career!”
If you’ve ever felt unshakeable ennui, flat affect, emptiness, or otherwise dispassionate emotions, you’re precisely 0% alone. We all have days, weeks, months, where we feel trapped on the hamster wheel of working adult life. In my opinion (unqualified, need I remind you?), the best way to hop off that proverbial conveyor belt and into a better mood is by enriching your mind outside of work. Yes, sirs and ma’ams, I am here to talk hobbies. Before you request a week off and haul ass to Michael’s to pick up a paint by numbers kit in the hopes of efficiently and mechanically resetting your brain, hear me out.
It’s not just doing a hobby or completing a task at home every once in a while that helps you feel like you’re living a full life. If that were the case, we’d all be perfectly happy and functional all the time simply as a result of consistent model-making or whatever. Part of what makes a hobby regenerative and enjoyable is that it’s something you’re genuinely interested in that usually has nothing to do with anything else going on in your life, and you carve out time with which to engage in it. It’s something that gets done because you love doing it, full stop. Example - I have absolutely zero reason to take art history courses. I do it anyway because I am a nerd and casual navel-gazer who finds that learning about the past through beautiful things makes the present easier to grapple with.
When I’m having a tough day or an all-consuming period of work trouble, returning to my dining table with a cup of tea and my next lecture allows me to use my brain in a way that makes me feel good. By the last sip of tea, I’m usually feeling restored and at peace, and I almost always find myself thinking of an ancient civilization’s ceramic making process as opposed to that insurmountable task that’s been dangling off the end of my queue at the office all week. Sleeping is easier as a result, and I am almost always more prone to continuing with another lecture or hobby because I feel so good when I do my own thing. We can certainly call that an improvement.
I encourage you to find something that captures your imagination - maybe it’s gardening, a certain genre of film, kite-surfing, knitting tiny kitten socks, collecting and stacking rocks, anything that fully immerses your brain and has nothing to do with work. Make time for it, especially if you’re one of those “how am I supposed to find the time?!” people. The time is there! You’re probably spending it scrolling through social media, anxiously reading the news, or absently worrying about your ongoing projects. Reclaim and redirect those free moments toward something that will make you feel dynamic and three-dimensional again. Even the act of setting aside twenty minutes to knit your tiny kitten socks is a good step toward not being a workaholic!
Simply breaking the routine of wake up/deal with kids/go to work/come home/deal with kids/go to sleep can do wonders for your mental state. Pick a country and learn about its history, experiment with homemade kombucha, learn to tango using YouTube videos, surprise yourself with something totally off the wall and opposite to what you’d normally do! Get weird and spend time laughing at yourself and at the world around you. Remind yourself that what you do is not life and death, you can take a moment to pause and press flowers if that’s what tickles your fancy and makes you feel connected to yourself again. The fact that you’re a design professional is super cool, but even cooler is lifting the lid on your inner weirdo and discovering what else you’re capable of.

Lana Del Rey Unreleased Ranking (5)
This is a re-ranking of Lana's unreleased songs, after making a first a few years ago. This is all my opinion, which I don't mind anyone disagreeing with but don't come for me for it - honestly, I like every song, despite any criticism, and this ranking is very vague. It's based on objective and subjective opinion.
This is the fifth of five posts, with my favourites.
Wild One
Lana is nostalgic without the sadness, remembering how she’d shake it for Mike but is embracing her freedom. She lets country influence seep through her voice and her uncomplicated instrumentals – it would be an unsurprising addition to Chemtrails
True Love On The Side
Though simple in structure and lyrics, it’s more Lana’s grittier rock sound and her incredible vocals that make this one of my favourite unreleased tracks. Lana lets herself go and goes full pop rock chick for this track, whilst keeping in with her ‘other woman’ trope that makes the song still familiar despite its departure from her usual music.
Driving In Cars With Boys
Dripping in nostalgia, Driving In Cars With Boys makes you yearn for the kind of 1950s/1960s era Lana often laments over. Lana is a bad girl just having fun, doing what she pleases and giving in to her vices, and it’s this kind of song that is relatable in its escapism and desire to just do what you please. There are two versions, one with a more monotone chorus that matches the rest of the verses and another where Lana sings in a higher register, letting her cheerful, breezy love for driving with the boys shine through in her vocals.
Angels Forever Forever Angels
Perfect for Paradise, Angels Forever Forever Angels has that slow, rhythmic summer drive feel, a relaxed version of Ride which also has associations with the bikers that feature in both the music video for Ride and the lyrics to this unreleased song. It’s dreamy but grounded by Lana’s patriotic love for the grungier side of Americana.
Hollywood
It has a breathy chorus you could sing to, the feeling of a summer evening and blue skies. The ever building and dropping beat that keeps the song ticking as restlessly as Lana’s hopes and dreams gets me feeling pumped as much as her emphasised, dragged out “Hollywood” in the chorus makes me soothed. Lana is wishing for fame and fortune but it has the feel of an eighties American teen movie, iconic and deserving of a cult following.
Yes To Heaven
Hazy like a daydream, Yes To Heaven is made of sunlight and soft grass, closer to nature than the spotlights of Lana’s often alcohol-soaked, money drenched stages. Lana’s voice is tentative until it shimmers in the chorus, and though it was made for Ultraviolence, it wouldn’t be out of place on the shining beacon of hope that is Lana’s positive turn, Lust For Life.
Life Is Beautiful
This gorgeous song was intended for Age of Adaline’s trailer, and it’s been years of waiting for the full song to be released. Now we have it, it’s certainly worth the wait. Dreamy and soft, this track is a timeless classic that could underwhelm from it’s gentle feel but works perfectly well as a pure little love song.
On Our Way
Stripped back and with a country twang, Lana doesn’t add fuss and frills to this song, instead just crooning precisely how she feels in the kind of song that keeps you daydreaming for hours. Not even the smattering of her favourite imagery (Chevrolets and K-Mart lip gloss) overshadows the love that’s at the forefront of this track.
Never Let Me Go
Like On Our Way, Never Let Me Go has the country twang and stripped back feel that makes this a more subdued song, her lyrics shining even more. Lana’s additional strings layer this song well and her comparisons to the dangerous couple that is Sid and Nancy gives this track an edge, keeping it from being too frothy.
French Restaurant
A piano ballad, Lana strips back the hurt of Without You and dual dedication of Video Games to sing about how fame matters so little to her while she’s torn between two men. Her voice is beautiful and it does well to be so minimal in its production, her emotion driving the song clearly enough. Especially pretty are the backing vocals of the choruses, echoes of her thoughts that hammer home her broken feelings.
Trash Magic
Lana’s delicate and soft vocals help tie into the Lolita-esque character Lana often plays in her music. It has a similar feel to 1949, dripping with her delicious imagery, and wouldn’t be out of place on AKA Lizzy Grant. Lana is the fragile ‘daddy’s girl’ again in this song, and the sharp yet soothing music in the background sets the tone for a quiet trailer park night.
Us Against The World
Though fairly chilled out, Lana still hooks listeners with her characterisation of waitress by day/stripper by night, a dangerous girl tempting an equally dangerous guy. Lana drips sexiness in this song and though it’s not as exciting as some of her other unreleased pop hits, it is perfect for the Del Rey character.
Your Girl
Much like Caught You Boy, Lana is desperate for a man she can’t have but is instead a complete wreck. Lana just repeats over and over how she wishes she was this man’s girl, practically pleading after describing how she needs to be led off the stage from falling apart. Yet it’s still sultry, still passionate, and is topped off by her honey-like vocal demonstration in the bridge and the chorus.
Roses
Lana is the other woman with a twist – instead of moping about her man (Other Woman, Sad Girl) she is taking action. Fighting against him, not letting him go without making some noise and getting rid of his girlfriend, Lana storms into the song with a vengeful wrath and calls him out for his poor attempts at apologies. When this song first came out, I adored it, since it was the exact kind of strong-girl track I wanted from her with a great hook and all the right Lana-isms. Now, I still get that thrill listening to this song and its kick-ass fuck-you to the man she loves.
Playing Dangerous
The churning drums, the spoken verses and the coy vocals set this song apart from her others. It falls shorter during the choruses, the verses being the best parts of the track, but the way Lana interacts with the listener ultimately and is a more direct character of ‘innocent’ seductress who might actually be downright bad (arson is hinted).
Serene Queen
Lana is unbothered and unruffled, as collected as she is in Put Your Lips Together but this time with a definite Ultraviolence/Honeymoon feel. Lana is unshaken by the blazing guns, instead completely calm with her dangerous lover, questioning why he even has a problem in the first place. As it picks up in the chorus, almost smirking, it becomes one of her finer unreleased songs yet.
Ave Maria
This is just an instrumental but there’s something so beautifully haunting about it. It wouldn’t be out of place in a Hollywood movie, with shades of the Lolita soundtrack instantly coming to mind when it first starts. It even works well without singing, and I hope we get a full version soon.
Puppy Love
From the perspective of a Marilyn Monroe figure, Lana plays the teenage girl wishing for a traditional romance with her lover. It’s ever-so-adorable, harking back to the sweeter parts of the fifties, but there’s a sense of sadness throughout it. Under the surface of the puppy love is the reality that the references to Monroe do not forget her sadness, loneliness and ultimately her overdose. The tone shifts to such an unhappiness in the bridge, directly calling back to Monroe’s phone call shortly before she overdosed, twisting the song to something more melancholic.
Cherry Blossom
The lullaby that grew into the marvellous, completed Cherry Blossom is a lovely tribute to someone small and beloved. Though Lana doesn’t have children yet, the care in her voice and each of her heart-warming compliments and promises is still thoroughly enjoyable – and comforting.
Colour Blue
In a song that reminds me of the love/hate relationship of Norman Fucking Rockwell, Lana takes her time to question why she loves the men that she does and, ultimately, grow from it, beginning to want something different. It’s raw and personal, with a gushing chorus that is complimented fully by the guitar. This song is blue all over, from Lana's opening harmonisation to her abrupt, unhappy ending.
Paradise
This song is, of course, pure paradise. A summery beat, a flippant Lana simply enjoying her lover no matter how long she’ll have him for and her coos of “sick!” and “that’s dope!” make this into a tasty distraction fit for the sunny months. Her casualness in this track is fresh as well as the dance-happy music that she doesn’t often create in her albums.
Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight
Lana is the waitress with a crush in this bop of a track, trying to convince a guy to get with her instead of that “bitch”. Convincing she is, as she uses all of her charm, wit and insistence that there’s no promises behind her intentions to have a good time with him. It’s just a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of her music, not too heavy and perfectly polished. It’s self-assured as much as it is breezy, and calm as it is it’s still a riot to listen to.
Caught You Boy
A dream-esque confession of desire, obsession and pure, crazy love, Lana isn’t outright insane in this track (Kinda Outta Luck, Jealous Girl, Serial Killer) but she hints towards being slightly too attached to her beau and describing herself as an army of one. The song is sweet and flowery but there’s a sadness and danger to it that keeps it from being too sugary.
Fine China
Some of Lana’s best lyrics are in Fine China as she sings of her fractured relationship, unhappy wedding and many beautiful yet easily broken things. It’s a slow, unfussy ballad but her strong voice and stunning lyrics make it so much more than a throwaway unreleased song.
Thunder
What feels like a coming-of-age slow dance song but is ultimately a choir-backed break-up track. Lana’s lyrics are clever and her voice is the perfect complement to The Last Shadow Puppets, this combined work a sure hit that deserves some kind of release and recognition. Lana is frustrated but tender as she leads the song with plenty of presence.
Prom Song Gone Wrong
The fifties feel, the teenage romance, the warm and gorgeous vocals that switch from dreamily longing to a cheeky talk-rap suggest this is a song tied tightly to Puppy Love, except with a more hopeful feel to it. Lana is ready to leave and she wants her lover to come with her, and even if it’s a youthful mistake there’s no mistaking that the love she – and her man – feels is real. It’s a pretty dedication to the kind of head-spinning romance of younger years, though it has an edge to it. Lana’s choruses are desperate, her pleading genuine and the strange way the music builds and collapses right at the end give the illusion all isn’t the sunshine and rainbows Lana sings of – and hopes for.

Hallo ^_^!!! I hope its fine that i ask for a bnha/danganronpa match up <3 <3
I'm a bi male, my mbti is ISTP-T(?). I'm a lazy n casual person, I like making jokes and people laugh(although my humor is really nonsensical haha) ^_^! Making people laugh makes me happy lol. I have bad anger issuse I can get angry/annoyed far too easily despite being annoying myself. I have difficulty with empathy with negative emotions and I'm not the best to go to for comfort T_T. I find it easy to get along with people once getting over my shyness. I'd consider myself a pretty creative person! I never admit ignorance, despite being...Incredibly ignorant ×_×. I'm a very touchy person I like being able to wrap my arm around someone, playfully poke them, etc... But I'm not really comfortable being touched myself unless I know that person veryyy well =_=". I try to be intimidating though that whole facade fails. I'm very indecisive and work best around people who are extremely patient with me.
I really like drawing! I really enjoy showing off my art to my friends and or making drawings for friends. I also like baking things, especially when it when someone is accompanying me while baking and helping me because thats just really fun >_<!! I'm a very music orientated person(very into modern rock nd indie pop!!!) ! Im a BIG! cat person *_*<3 nd i have this weird infatuation with fire XO idk if thats important but whatever!!! LOL. I really like the grunge aesthetic nd horror. I like collecting things.. Mainly stuffed animals haha. I like playing video games, often getting pretty competitive depending on the game.
Ok! I think thats enough! Sorry of its alot! Much love, have a good day/night! Ciao!
Anon, you seem really fucking dope. Just know that I platonically love you.
I match you with,,,
Tumblr media
Hitoshi Shinsou!
So obviously, Shinsou’s pretty introverted, all things considered
But he finds you interesting and enjoyable, so he keeps you around, if you know what I mean
You’re the one person he doesn’t exactly hate being around, if you will
He is 10/10 type to bring home any stray cat he may find, so be prepared for that
At this point, he has four or five hidden in his dorm at any given time, so he’s quite thankful you’re a cat person
He likes making conversation while you two just love on the cats,, he’d say it’s free therapy
He’s super fascinated with the way people are able to use their creative skills so please show him your art
He will adore everything you create, even if he might not voice so
Especially if it’s something you’ve drawn for him specifically. He’s so appreciative of the fact that you put in that work for him.
He’s basically gonna worship that piece of art, cause you made it for him
He’s pretty touch starved, let’s be real, so he’s super down for whatever contact you’ll give him
He rarely gets tired of it or annoyed with it, as long as it’s you
Note, though, he’ll only allow that kind of thing if you’re someone he whole heartedly trusts
Meaning you’ve managed to gain his full and absolute trust
There’s definitely been nights where the two of you just stay up, listen to music, and play video games together
He’s not too picky on music, so he’d probably be into whatever you’re into! He’d love to share new artists with you, and hear the albums you’ve been listening to
He’s not the best at video games, though he thinks the playful competition of it all can be fun. Especially with how into it you can get, it makes it far more entertaining
He stays fairly level headed in most situations, so if you ever need calming down, or someone to talk to, he’s always there for you
He’s not judgy about that kind of thing, since he knows how ridiculous his own problems can seem
He might suggest taking out your feelings on borderline arson or something, but he’s there!
In conclusion: Let them have cats in the dorms!! It’s only fair!!
Tumblr media
Rantaro Amami!
I try not to write for anyone outside of SDR2, because its the only game I’ve played and I’m not too familiar with most of the characters in the other games, BUT I literally thought of him immediately so-
He is incredibly patient and understanding with everyone, so it’s even more natural when it comes to you
Whether you’re feeling bad, or just need extra help, he’s never annoyed by it or anything
He makes a good support person, and always seems to have the right thing to say, and the right advice
Normally, he can be fairly touchy, himself, but he doesn’t mind holding off if it makes you more comfortable!
Whatever makes you feel safest is priority with him, so of course he doesn’t mind
He’s all for your casual contact, too. It’s just a nice reminder you’re still there, and nearby
Would he love to bake with you? Yes. Is he going to absolutely go all out when he finds out you’d want to do that in the first place? Yes.
He’d put on some music, secretly gather all the supplies, and make a whole day out of it for you two
You actually end up making something really good, too, because he’s just accidentally good at baking
Who knew he could be domestic, certainly not him
He likes watching you draw, if you’ll allow him
It might seem silly but he genuinely thinks it’s absolutely wonderful to get to see the process of you creating something
He feels that way about most things you do, honestly, he likes just watching you because he can
But the drawing is his favorite, because he gets to see the effects of your efforts in the end!
He also loves watching horror movies with you
If you’re easily scared by them, he will not hesitate to tease you about it. If you’re not, though, it’ll be his personal mission to scare you at least once
In conclusion: Similar aesthetics? Maybe they share clothes?? That’s kind of lovely???

Top 15 First Watches of 2020
I’ve never been good at staying current on pop culture, and that became especially pronounced in 2020. A year where most of the anticipated theatrical releases were pushed to VOD (and the price nearly tripled) meant that a lot of flicks I was excited for got added to the end of the “Maybe Someday” watchlist.
But in this strange year, I did manage to watch 245 movies- and 195 of those were first-time watches. Some were new, only available on the (virtual) festival circuit. Some were Criterion mainstays, films I’m horrified to admit I hadn’t seen before. But this year, when movies cemented themself as my biggest joy, I began to really track what I watched- including a “top 5 first watches of the month” roundup for every month. These top 5s weren’t ranked, and weren’t even based on technical ability, strength of dialogue, or critical acclaim. They were just the 5 I loved the best.
So without further ado, here are my top 15 of the year- one selected from the top 5 of each month, with some bonus entries thrown in as well. As a general rule, I only included features on this list- I was fortunate enough to catch shorts that streamed at Chattanooga Film Fest, Celebration of Fantastic Fest, and more, but to add them to the running would have made writing this listicle absolutely impossible.
HONORABLE Honorable Mention: The Holiday. Inspired by the fine folks at Super Yaki, I finally watched this Nancy Meyers classic. Why is it two and a half hours long?! Why is that two and a half hours so significantly lacking in Jack Black?! The scenes that Black is in, though, really shine. This one is going to be a Christmas mainstay in the Disco household (and not just because I spent money on the DVD).
15: The Love Witch (Honorable Mention, April). This one came highly recommended to me by friends of all sorts, and like most of my 2020 first watches, I’m deeply embarrassed that it took me this long to get to it. Upon finally watching it, on a rainy Sunday, I described the movie in general (and the color palette, specifically) as “sumptuous,” which is one of the most complimentary visual descriptors I can bestow upon a movie. The plot felt a little convoluted at times, but I still found The Love Witch incredibly enjoyable and am hoping to explore more of writer-director Anna Biller’s filmography in 2021.
14: The Guest (Honorable Mention, October). The Guest is one of the few movies I watched multiple times this year- and the only one I watched twice in one week. From the sultry industrial soundtrack selections to the numerous visual nods to Halloween III: Season of the Witch, The guest was Extremely My Shit. The casting here is truly tremendous- especially Maika Monroe, who was similarly brilliant in It Follows. Also of note: Lance Reddick, one of my current favourite character actors.
13: The Fast and The Furious (Honorable Mention, May). 2 Fast 2 Furious (and its bespoke theme song, Act A Fool, by Ludacris) came out when I was in the 6th grade. Do you remember the music and movies that entered the world when you were in 6th grade? Do you have an inexplicable zealous love for them? 2F2F was the only film in the Fast Cinematic Universe I had seen for a long, long time. Then I saw Fate of the Furious. Then I bought the series box set, as a joke?? And then, slowly but then also all at once, I genuinely started to love this franchise. Some of them are truly ridiculous. Some of them are genuinely bad. But the first one? The Fast and The Furious (2001)? Timeless. Point Break updated and adapted for the early-aughts, The Fast and the Furious walked so The Italian Job (2003) could run. Without The Fast and The Furious, Paul Walker would just be “the guy from Tammy and The T-Rex” to millions of casual cinemagoers. The cultural impact of The Fast and The Furious simply cannot be denied!!
12: Come to Daddy (Top 5, July). Honestly, this is the exact flavor of bonkers bullshit I’ve grown to expect from Elijah Wood, and that is not an indictment. Wood’s genuine love for genre film is evident here, in what can only be described as an uncomfortable film of family, reunion, and redemption. The tense and abrasive first half gives way to a surprisingly relieving wave of violence and exposition in this critically-acclaimed flick.
11: The Stylist (Top 5, September). The feature-length debut of writer-director Jill Gevargizian, based off her short of the same name, is female-led horror that pays homage to genre mainstays like Maniac and Psycho while still being decidedly singular. Not only shot in Kansas City, but set in Kansas City, The Stylist made my midwestern heart happy. This is one that I really, really would have loved to see in a crowded theater auditorium, were this year a different one.
10: In The Mouth of Madness (Top 5, March). Despite being the beginning of pandemic awareness, March was a slow month for me, movie-wise (even though it’s not like I had anything else going on??). But I finally made time for this Carpenter classic, and I’m so happy I did. I’ve long been fascinated by stories about stories, and the people who find themselves trapped within those stories, and this one is truly, in the most basic sense of the word, horrifying. Sam Neill proves that he belongs in horror here, making his role in Event Horizon seem like a natural fit. Also a highlight: noted character actor David Warner, best known (to me) as “Billy Zane’s bodyguard guy in Titanic,” who never ever fails to be unsettling.
9: Profondo Rosso (Top 5, April). Before this year, my only Argento exposure was Suspiria (which is phenomenal), but Deep Red goes off the deep end in all the best ways. The score (by frequent Argento collaborators Goblin) is truly groovy. The number of twists and turns the plot takes is kind of mind-boggling, but also delightful. Daria Nicolodi (RIP)  is at the top of her acting game here. This quickly became one of my beloved background movies- if I opened Shudder and Profondo Rosso was playing on one of their live-streaming channels, it stayed on while I was cleaning or cooking or paying bills. Profondo Rosso is a must-watch for those hoping to get into giallo.
8: Crimson Peak (Top 5, November). This one was definitely not what I was expecting, but it was GORGEOUS. I loved the world immediately (a Del Toro trademark, to be honest). As a longtime Pacific Rim stan, it made my heart happy to see Charlie Hunnam and Burn Gorman reunited under Guillermo Del Toro’s vision.
7: Palm Springs (Top 5, August). I am not typically a time-travel movie enthusiast- but I am a sucker for witty repartee and Andy Samberg. This one made me ugly-cry, which I should probably be a bit more ashamed to admit. August had a lot of really great first watches, but the Hulu exclusive takes the cake due to its novel premise, some truly heart-wrenching reveals, and the amazing casting (is there anything JK Simmons cant do?).
6: Scare Package (Top 5, May). Is there any format I love more than the horror anthology? While there have been so many over the years (Creepshow, All the Creatures Were Stirring), Scare Package might be my favourite of them all. A variety of fun and inventive stories combined with a genre-lovers dream of an overarching narrative make this one a must-see- in fact, it was the whole reason I bought a pass to this year’s online version of Chattanooga Film Fest. There’s a cameo here that absolutely knocked my socks off (and continued to do so even on repeat viewings). While the scares here are honestly minimal, Scare Package is a great love letter to the genre at large.
5: Do The Right Thing (Top 5, June). Yes, it took me until 2020 to watch Do The Right Thing for the first time. The palpable tension, the interwoven stories of Bed-Stuy’s residents, all seem timeless. Giancarlo Esposito is, as always, a joy to watch.
4: Knives Out (Top 5, February). “It’s a Rian Johnson whodunnit, duh,” states the SuperYaki! T-shirt famously worn by Jamie Lee Curtis, star of Knives Out (2019). This one has received worlds of critical acclaim, I truly do not know what I could even hope to add to the conversation. I want more old-school murder mystery cinema.
3: The VelociPastor (Top 5, January). It should be testimonial enough that The VelociPastor beat out Miss Americana, Netflix’s Taylor Swift documentary, as the top pick for January- but in case it isn’t, let me end 2020 the way I began it; by evangelizing the HECK out of this movie. Written and directed by up-and-coming triple-threat (Director/songwriter/prolific cat-photo-poster) Brendan Steere, The VelociPastor is a true love letter to genre cinema, complete with a big wink to the criminally underloved Miami Connection. Alyssa Kempinski shines as Carol, a doctor/lawyer/hooker with a heart of gold. The VelociPastor premiered in 2019 but gained tons of attention in 2020 (thanks in part to YouTube sensation Cody Ko)- attention that it truly deserves. A sequel is rumored to be in the works, but mark my words, anything to come from the imagination of Brendan Steere will be worth a watch.
2: Dinner in America (Top 5, October). I genuinely feel sorry for the other movies I watched in October (there were a lot) (they were all SO GOOD). Dinner in America, which I caught during the Nightstream hybrid festival, was not at all what I was expecting. While the other features were all very solidly genre flicks, this was…. A comedy? A modern love story?? I’mn honestly still not exactly sure, but I do know I loved every second of it. I laughed. I cried. I threw my hands up in the air exuberantly (in front of my laptop, looking like a true fool). I did not shut up about this movie online for weeks. I told anyone and everyone that Kyle Gallner is the most underrated actor of my generation and I still believe it! Dinner in America, the story of a punk band frontman who unwittingly takes refuge from the police in the home of his biggest fan, was an unexpectedly heartwarming tale of family, young love, and arson. Watch it as soon as you can.
1: Promising Young Woman (Top 5, December). This last-minute debut from Emerald Fennell, originally scheduled to hit theaters in April of this year, finally made its way to the big screen on Christmas Day, and became the 2020 entry on my annual “Christmas Day Trip to the Theater” list.* Carey Mulligan is an icon and deserves all of the awards for this. The soundtrack is sublime. The casting choices are truly incredible. While I have no doubt that the general themes of the movie will be polarizing, I absolutely loved this one- I sat in my car in the theater parking lot for a WHILE, considering just buying a ticket for the next showtime- that’s how badly I felt like I needed to see it again immediately. I look forward to writing its inevitable Criterion essay.
*Nobody else in rural iowa was interested in seeing this movie at noon on Christmas Day. I’m shocked.

hobbies. (kane)
headcanon questions
He likes reading a lot. He chewed through the funeral home book collection pretty fast, and he’s re-read The Lord Of The Rings at least seven times. He’ll read anything, really. Fiction, nonfiction, historical, scifi, magazines… Basically whatever he gets his hands on. He loves books. When he was younger, he loved books with bright pictures, or stories about far-flung adventures. He also liked travel books, and books about psychology. He liked the adventure books because it helped him imagine the world outside, which he hadn’t really seen for decades. It helps him feel a little less trapped, a little less claustrophobic. Gave him something to dream about. The psychiatric books made it easier for him to understand what the doctors and nurses were saying, and what their questions meant, and just, in general, what was going on around him. Those ones were harder to find, but they were interesting.
He also really liked how-to and instructional books. The topic didn’t really matter. He loved learning. He had a lot of time to kill, after all, and there as was so much he’d never been taught. He wanted to learn. He’s always been a glutton for information. If you can show him something new, he’ll be happy for a long time.
Speaking of learning new things, he also likes to cook. He learned how from a volunteer named Davis, when he was 17. He really enjoyed it. It got him out of the tiny room, broke the monotony. It also let him fuel his obsession with fire. … And it let him get extra food, as long as he didn’t get caught stealing nibbles. Davis didn’t snitch. Since then, Kane found a lot of joy in cooking. He’ll eat anything, but it’s fun to try different food. Paul also liked having a live-in chef to take care of him, so he encouraged it. It made Kane feel useful. It’s fun.
He’s also pretty decent at cutting hair. This is something he picked up after being released. Back when he was in the hospitals, the doctors did it - he wasn’t allowed sharp things. But one day, he was wandering around the home and noticed his brother fussing over his hair. Both boys have always had wild manes, after all, and they can be hard to tame by yourself, especially when it comes to the backs. He was curious, walked over to see what was going on, then if he could help. He and Taker were still getting used to each other again, still re-learning how to be brothers. Taker didn’t want to risk alienating Kane and said yes. So, Kane grabbed some scissors and fumbled his way through fixing his brother’s hair. It looked decent enough. Neither of them were really going for style points - just wanted it fixed so it didn’t bother Taker anymore. So that became Kane’s job. Of course, Kane being Kane, he started looking into it, and now he’s pretty good. He’s not going to call himself a hairdresser by any means, but he’s the only one who cuts his brother’s hair, most days. Taker doesn’t trust most people with sharp implements around his throat, and it’s a nice bit of bonding time for them. Kane also started cutting his own hair not long after. Once he started to care about how he looked, or when he wanted to take care of himself. And then, when he has his breakdown, he shaves his own head.
He also likes working out. That’s kind of a given. Usually weights, but his cardio and agility is amazing. He usually works out for a few hours every day. When he was in the hospitals, he used to spend entire days working out. He had nothing else to do. And it was something his father approved of.
Now, he works out because he’s a physical guy, for his job, and for his own enjoyment. He likes it a lot. It helps him on a mental level too, with restless energy, focusing, and just feeling overall more grounded.
He also likes playing with his cat, when he gets her. She likes string and crinkly toys, and he likes dangling and throwing them for her.
Aside from that, casual arson, fighting, stargazing, and going on walks, hanging out with his brother, hitting up arcades, mauling Shane McMahon and Pete Rose.
The usual things.

Together, Tomorrow Chapter 17 (Sneak Peek--Part 2)
Tumblr media
“It’s so good to see you up and about,” Cheryl said breezily, earning a shocked cough from Veronica and an indulgent head shake from Toni. Oblivious to the reactions of her comment, she continued on, “I’ve been meaning to thank you. Your klutziness has been such a boost for my brand! If you believe TMZ, I’m practically being considered for sainthood…” Betty fought to keep her face neutral as her eyes scanned the rest of the room. Jughead had told her enough stories of the Blossom heiress’ lack of tact for her not to fall prey to her knee jerk sense of shock, but she didn’t fully trust Veronica or Polly not to jump wildly to her defense. Luckily, Toni was equally aware of the need for a “Cherry Bomb” translator, and quickly jumped in with, “What my Cher-bear meant is that a photographer took a couple pictures of her and I helping you after you fell. Apparently, they didn’t realize we knew you and Jughead, so the headlines were very positive about Cheryl’s apparent willingness to help a stranger. It was nice bit of free publicity that for once wasn’t dissecting our wedding plans or our relationship...or speculating on whether Cheryl bathes in the blood of virgins to maintain her complexion.” Cheryl preened at Toni’s compliment while casually twirling the ends of the woman’s magenta hair, perfectly ignorant of the apologetic look Jughead’s best friend was silently willing Betty to accept.
Betty was on the verge of telling Toni not to worry about it when Polly’s shocked voice broke through from her spot on the floor in a pool of late morning light, “Wait a minute...Cheryl Blossom? As in the House of Blossom lingerie line?”
Cheryl sat up pin straight inadvertently yanking her fingers out of her fiancée’s hair in the process. Betty shared a sympathetic winch with Toni as the ombré-haired woman lightly rubbed the sore spot on her skull. The infamous Cherry Bomb eyed the older Cooper woman skeptically as she waited for Polly to continue speaking. Polly was perfectly happy to oblige as she continued on, “I love your clothes! It’s part of my ritual—whenever I know my husband is coming home from a deployment, I always order a couple new sets to surprise him with. He especially loves your signature red and white collection.” Betty let out a groan that was echoed by Veronica complaining, “God, Polly! Some of us actually know J.J. I do not need that image!”
Cheryl ignored their comments as she replied, “Oh, yes. That’s my most popular line. The peek-a-boo lace was actually inspired by Toni—so I could see more of her as I seduced her.”
It was Toni’s turn to groan as she muttered, “And we’re going to have to have another talk about boundaries.”
Polly’s attention never strayed from Cheryl as she contemplated her next words carefully. Just as it seemed she was going to stop at the compliment, she sucked in a breath in a way that Betty knew usually meant trouble. Before Betty could stop her, her older sister said, “It’s just such a shame the line is so limited.”
With the notable exception of Archie, the room held its collective breath as a small twitch started at the corner of Cheryl’s eyebrow and her smile slowly turned feral. “Limited?” the fiery redhead hissed with barely constrained malevolence.

Penance Party 11/29
Lebeaux Desrosiers nodded solemnly in agreement. “We do all have flaws, yet not all flaws are equal.” He corrected carefully. “Would you consider having too much love for your fellow man truly such a terrible flaw. Would you consider that as equally sinful as, perhaps, spreading falsehoods regarding the city one is sworn to protect and defend. Or as sinful as turning away from the Fury’s grace to accept darkness into one’s soul.”
Gilbert Viscart shakes his head. "Not all sins are equal", he agrees. "Some are not as forgivable as others. I have hunted a noble family for a long time. It accepted corruption into its ranks. Such things cannot be dealt with with compassion. They must be purified."
Lebeaux smiled serenely as he paused to take a long sip of his wine. “And you would beg mercy for one such sinner and refuse to take action against such corruption. Simply because I carry perhaps a touch of the sin of pride.” He was underestimating a bit as well as leaving many off of a very long list, but there was no need to go into that now.
Gilbert shakes his head. "I would not be here if I thought you were irredeemable", he says. "I just don't look up to you. You have a lot to learn. Mayhaps we can pray on some things together. Work for the betterment of each other. As a fraternity of pious men."
Lebeaux chuckled quietly at that. ‘Look up to him’. As though he wanted anyone to look up to him. Fear him, sure. Obey him, definitely. Still. “A fraternity of pious men.” He repeated thoughtfully, tilting his wine glass to swirl its contents lightly. “And how would you recommend we begin such a venture.”
Gilbert frowns. "I"m not sure", he says. "But I am going to do my bit of penance in looking at you as a person. That means I will not sodomise you." He nods solemnly. "We can do wholesome activities together to inspire our faith. Do you like playing kick ball? Mountain climbing? Hiking?"
Lebeaux lifted his glass to his lips to have a sip of wine, snorting at the same moment Gilbert declared his resolve not to stick his manhood in Lebeaux’s rear. He sputtered slightly, grabbing a handkerchief to dab at his mouth. Ensuring that none of the rich red wine would drip down onto his pristine white clothes. “Fury have mercy, Gilbert.” He sighed as he continued dabbing lightly just to be extra sure. “As though you would be the one sodomizing me!” He declared in mild indignation. “Generally it is for the best not to let someone know that the first thought you have when looking at them is how they would feel impaled on your lance. And mercy, no. Pointless activities that only result in fatigue and sweat-stained clothes.”
Gilbert frowns. "Pointless? That's where you're wrong. The Fury herself travelled the world looking for new creatures to kill. In Her icy halls we will be expected to drink and feast and do battle. How can you do any of those things if you are not willing to follow her example and get in shame?" He tried to poke Lebeaux' sides. "Granted, you're not as tubby as Father Gabineaux, but still."
Lebeaux smiled and batted the poking fingers away. Taking another deep sip of the wine. What a surprise, he was due for another refill. He poured a considerable amount into his glass then tipped the last few sips into Gilbert’s. “I’ve no need for children’s games and wasting time in the mountains. If you’re so determined why don’t you set up a youth grou-.” Actually, the way the Knight casually tossed around a laundry list of his sins, most seemed to be sex-related. “Nevermind that."
Gilbert gives Lebeaux a chastising look. "Do you think the Fury played children's games when she wandered the world?"
Lebeaux shook his head firmly. “No. I do not.”
"Then why would we be too good for it? Healthy body, healthy soul." He points at his heart. "We can alternate activities. I suggest something I think is fun and wholesome, then you can suggest something you think is fun and wholesome. That way we can both become better men. Drag ourselves up by our bootstraps. What do you say, bro?" He tries to punch Lebeaux against the shoulder in a friendly manner. But still hard enough to leave a light bruise.
Lebeaux tilted slightly as the punch landed on his shoulder, wincing and pressing his hand to the spot. He inhaled slowly, deeply. Filling up his lungs fully. Then he exhaled slowly and set his wine glass down. Without a word of warning he brought his hand around to strike Gilbert firmly on the cheek. “You forget yourself Ser Viscart.” He practically shouted as he rose to his feet to pull himself up to his full height. “Now I have had a very trying day between having an attempt made on my life and an arson burning down my office. And the last thing I need is you trying to drag me to play ‘kickball’ or go ‘hiking’. What I need is to drink another bottle of wine. Smoke enough somnus I can no longer see straight then find whatever long-tailed fur-eared idiot I can lure with gil to my bed and thoroughly enjoy the sodomy that you cannot. I shall have him for a second round in your honor.” He mocked as he lifted his wineglass in a mock-toast. “Good day Gilbert.”
Gilbert seemed not to respond initially to the strike against his cheek. It had hurt, but he'd seen it as an intent to insult. As the other spoke he slowly opened his eyes again, getting to his feet. He approached the other man with a huff. "You're giving in to sin! Letting your soul rot when it should blossom!" He tried to grip the others' wrists, having no intention to leave the other be. Even if he had to spill some wine. "Listen to me! You are better than this!"
Lebeaux furrowed his brows as his wrists were grabbed, the wineglass first sloshing over the edges of the glass before the glass itself fell from his fingers to shatter on the ground. He yanked at the hands holding him. “I will confess and tithe on the morrow.” He declared, grunting slightly as he tried again to free his wrists. “I will repent and I will mean it. You can ask me then about your ridiculous games and ‘wholesome’ activities. But tonight I will indulge!”
Gilbert held on to Lebeaux' wrists. His grip was stronger than the size difference might imply. The Knight was well-trained, after all. Even so, he had to crane his head back. "Then indulge in the beauty of our faith! Indulge in prayer and psalm! I shall wake with you and make sure that you spend the night on your knees!" Pause. "In prayer!" he added somewhat shrilly. "Do you not feel Her love when you pray? Is that not better than wine and cat boys?"
Lebeaux paled considerably at the thought of it. A night praying and having to put up with Gilbert’s renewed and revived faith. “… No!” He finally declared firmly. “It is not better. I feel her love even when I indulge in such excess for she knows I will always return to her bosom!” He declared as he tried again to yank his hands free. Before a thought came to him. “Come with me.” He suggested. “We’ll drink and smoke and find some handsome cat-man to share. There is plenty to be done without your sodomizing them.”
Gilbert  thinks on this. His grip loosens some. ".... better not to leave her bosom in the first place!" he said. He was tempted though. Oh boy was he tempted. "I'm doing penance." He looks up, finally letting go, even after resisting that last yank, just to show the highborn that he could. "I will come and drink with you after I've finished doing penance. If that is how you chose to fill in our wholesome bonding activity. But we will not drink foreign drinks. Only domestic brew! And no cat boys!" Gilbert doesn't like catboys as much because racism, anyway.
Lebeaux exhaled a sigh of relief when Gilbert finally relented both his grip and his determination to ruin Lebeaux’s night. “As you like. The offer will stand, you may choose to make good on it whenever you desire.” He offered, smirking slightly at the Knight set a few rules for what the night of not-so-wholesome bonding could include. “Very well. Ishgardian drinks and perhaps an elezen or hyur.” He suggested, rubbing his own wrists wipe away the other’s touch. “Duskwights are quite enjoyable as well, even if they don’t have tails for pulling.”
Gilbert wasn't going to protest then. ".... and conversation!" Gilbert added. Mostly kidding himself. Cheeks flushing slightly. "Mayhaps we can teach that person the Word of the Fury and through those teachings find it ourselves as well." He smiles. "And I will get to pick an activity as well", he says, poking the other in the chest. "So! Who goes first!" Now that this social encounter had been ham-fistedly poured into a competitive format, somehow, there had to be rules, of course.
“Yes, of course. Very good.” Lebeaux agreed, reaching out to gently begin nudging Gilbert towards the door. “How about we do my activity first. You seem rather enamored by the idea of it. And it will give you more time to think up an activity of your own. Though you do see how I have made some accommodations to consider your preferences. I will expect you to do the same.” He explained calmly, having almost finished putting back together the pieces of his briefly shattered composure. “Then I shall be seeing you as soon as you are finished with your penance, since you seem to think this will interfere.”
Gilbert nods. "Of course", Gilbert remarks. "We can go on pilgrimage together. It'll be great." He allowed himself to be nudged towards the door. "Don't worry, I'll make sure you can keep up. You're not against self-flagellation are you? I mean I have a hair shirt you could borrow but that's -" by that time the Elezen had pushed him towards the door. "Oh!"

Lehi Utah Foreclosure Lawyer
Lehi is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States. It is named after Lehi, a prophet in the Book of Mormon. The population was 47,407 at the 2010 census, up from 19,028 in 2000. A more recent 2018 estimate reports a population of 66,037. The rapid growth in Lehi is due, in part, to the rapid development of the tech industry region known as Silicon Slopes. The center of population of Utah is located in Lehi. Lehi is part of the Provo–Orem Metropolitan Statistical Area. A group of Mormon pioneers settled the area now known as Lehi in the fall of 1850 at a place called Dry Creek in the northernmost part of Utah Valley. It was renamed Evansville in 1851 after David Evans, a local bishop in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). Other historical names include Sulphur Springs and Snow’s Springs. The land was organized into parcels of 40 acres (160,000 m2), and new settlers received a plot of this size until the entire tract was exhausted. There was little water to irrigate the rich soil, so it became necessary to divert a portion of American Fork Creek. Evansville consumed up to one-third of the creek’s water, as authorized by the Utah Territorial Legislature. The settlement grew so rapidly that in early 1852, Bishop David Evans petitioned the Utah Territorial Legislature to incorporate the settlement. Lehi City was incorporated by legislative act on February 5, 1852. It was the sixth city incorporated in Utah. The legislature also approved a request to call the new city Lehi after a Book of Mormon prophet of the same name. The downtown area has been designated the Lehi Main Street Historic District by the National Park Service and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Salt Lake City receives millions of visitors a year. If you are going to be one in 2019, choose to stay in a hotel in Lehi! Lehi has more affordable accommodations, is in a central location, between Provo and Downtown Salt Lake City, and has dozens of attractions and outdoor activities close by. Here are main reasons why you should choose Lehi as your main hub when you visit Utah next.
Lehi has a variety of hotels to choose from for your next stay, from Hilton to Marriott and several others. What Are the Stages of the Foreclosure Process?
If you’re struggling to make mortgage payments and have missed one or more, you may be wondering what it’s like to go into foreclosure, as a last resort. The mortgage foreclosure process is a long and drawn-out one, and the exact steps vary from state to state. In some states, foreclosure requires a court hearing, and borrowers have the chance to contest the action and even raise defenses. In others, the bank can foreclose on the property without any judicial intervention. Hearing or not, a foreclosure action can cause you to lose your home. It can also have a long-lasting impact on your credit score.
Stages of Foreclosure
The exact foreclosure process is different in each state, but generally, you can expect it to look something like this: • Default and notice of default • Foreclosure filing and trial • Notice of sale and sale of property • Eviction Not all borrowers will go through each of these steps. A foreclosure filing and trial are only necessary in states where a judicial hearing is required.
Default and Notice of Default
The first thing that happens in the foreclosure process is that you enter into default. “Default” essentially means you’re late on your mortgage payments—what most lenders refer to as being delinquent. Law dictates that a lender must reach out to a borrower once he or she is 36 days behind on mortgage payments. By 45 days, the lender must provide written notice of the default, including details about any loss mitigation or repayment options the borrower may be able to use. A borrower has to be at least 120 days behind on his or her mortgage for the lender to start the foreclosure process legally.
youtube
Foreclosure Filing and Trial
If you’re in a judicial foreclosure state, the next step is the foreclosure filing. The lender will file a foreclosure lawsuit against the borrower, also called a “complaint.” In some states, lenders need to prove that they offered the borrower loss-mitigation options before filing suit. The foreclosure suit will go before the court, and borrowers have a right to contest their foreclosure and raise their own defenses. If the court rules in favor of the lender, the property can be scheduled for sale.
Notice of Foreclosure, Sale
In non-judicial foreclosure states, there is no trial. Lenders simply issue a “notice of intent to foreclose,” alerting the borrower that the foreclosure process has begun. They will also need to advertise the sale—usually in a newspaper, for at least a few weeks prior to the scheduled sale date. The actual selling of the property is done via auction, and usually by the local sheriff’s department. In many cases, banks and lenders are forced to purchase the properties back due to a lack of buyer interest. These are then dubbed “bank-owned properties” or “real estate-owned properties” (REOs), and the lender then makes efforts to sell those directly to a buyer. Many banks and larger financial institutions list their REO properties somewhere on their website.
Eviction
Once a foreclosed property has been sold, the former homeowner must vacate the premises. If he or she doesn’t, the new buyer legally can have them evicted from the home. The exact process for getting someone evicted varies by state.
Deed in lieu of foreclosure
A deed in lieu of foreclosure is a deed instrument in which a mortgagor (i.e. the borrower) conveys all interest in a real property to the mortgagee (i.e. the lender) to satisfy a loan that is in default and avoid foreclosure proceedings. The deed in lieu of foreclosure offers several advantages to both the borrower and the lender. The principal advantage to the borrower is that it immediately releases him/her from most or all of the personal indebtedness associated with the defaulted loan. The borrower also avoids the public notoriety of a foreclosure proceeding and may receive more generous terms than he/she would in a formal foreclosure. Another benefit to the borrower is that it hurts his/her credit less than a foreclosure does. Advantages to a lender include a reduction in the time and cost of a repossession, lower risk of borrower revenge (metal theft and vandalism of the property before sheriff eviction), and additional advantages if the borrower subsequently files for bankruptcy. If there are any junior liens a deed in lieu is a less attractive option for the lender. The lender will likely not want to assume the liability of the junior liens from the property owner, and accordingly, the lender will prefer to foreclose in order to clean the title. In order to be considered a deed in lieu of foreclosure, the indebtedness must be secured by the real estate being transferred. Both sides must enter into the transaction voluntarily and in good faith.
youtube
The settlement agreement must have total consideration that is at least equal to the fair market value of the property being conveyed. Sometimes, the lender will not proceed with a deed in lieu of foreclosure if the outstanding indebtedness of the borrower exceeds the current fair value of the property; in other cases, a lender will agree since it will likely end up with the property anyway through the costly foreclosure process. Because of the requirement that the instrument be voluntary, lenders will often not act upon a deed in lieu of foreclosure unless they receive a written offer of such a conveyance from the borrower that specifically states that the offer to enter into negotiations is being made voluntarily. This will enact the parol evidence rule and protect the lender from a possible subsequent claim that the lender acted in bad faith or pressured the borrower into the settlement. Both sides may then proceed with settlement negotiation. The Home Equity Theft Prevention Act in New York has created some confusion regarding this frequently-used method of settlement.[citation needed] It is unclear whether HETPA applies to deeds in lieu of foreclosure since there is no clear exclusion as there is for a referee’s deed, for example. The 2-year right of rescission is not a risk that banks or title insurers are comfortable with, especially given the complexities of compliance, so many banks and title insurers in New York are not willing to work with deeds in lieu.
