When Halloween started I was thinking about your CarrionAu by Tim Drake and how much I love it. That's why I wanted to draw you a fanart for @polarspaz, imagining that first encounter between a Batman who kills (because he has no other option) and a traumatized cellar goblin called Tim, who would become his son/doctor/poisoner. and in the background a scarecrow who is having the worst time of his life while Tim deciphers the formula for his fear gas.

I hope you like it and again, I love all your AUs!!!

A little fanart drawing for @polarspaz for his amazing CarrionAU of Tim Drake and the Batfam, omg I LOVE the batfamily designs for this AU and the story!!! gods i love the story!!!

I couldn't stop imagining what the battle was like in which they managed to capture Jason. In his description, Jason was killed by the Joker and revived and Brutalized by the League of Assassins, and then released in Gotham where he unleashed a violent crime spree involving civilians as well, due to being poisoned by the well of lazarus and the indoctrination-torture of the Al Ghul and that the whole family had to combine in order to overcome him from his furious rage.

I just couldn't stop imagining headcanon about the context of the battle, :

Ok, so I figured if Jason showed up in Gotham unleashing such a violent massacre wearing the Red Hood helmet and fully covered, the Batfamily would move very quickly (and violently) to eliminate the threat, leading them to focus on stopping the new one. rogue (murder him) caring more about stopping him permanently than finding out his identity. Also, I don't think the good people left in Gotham would accept Red Hood as one of their anti-heroes if they knew he was the one who did all that violence, so I thought the Red Hood costume with the helmet would come after to help him recover from the madness of the pit. Ok, so that's why I drew the Red Hood in the Young Justice ninja outfit, because it would be easier for the mask he wears to be snatched or broken during some fight against Batfam and they could see that he wasn't just a common rogue but Jason revived, so they would decide not to be completely lethal with him, but to capture him to verify that he is Jason and help him.

Tim is not in the picture due to being a stealth-ranged fighter who is using his poison darts to try to overload the well's ability to heal Jason.

I'd really love to know what Polarspaz's thoughts are on how they captured and helped Jason though! Also a bit about Damian because the idea that he murdered Talia to escape the abuse is so interesting!!, Tim is my favorite character, but everyone else is so incredibly cool and I can't help but want to know more about them.

Carrion AU Crow tiddbits

-Tim is always accompanied by a least 3-5 crows whenever he's outside. Even dressed in his civilian clothes, the birds will dutifully follow him and act like little bodyguards, scaring away other birds and bothersome journalists.

-When Tim found out that Crane was afraid of crows, he studied the crafty critters and found a way to use them in his plan to kidnap the man. After working with the birds, Tim found himself endeared to them and decided to train and raise his own flock.

-Tim has an ENORMOUS aviary in the backyard that is hidden by trees and ivy. His flock is very intelligent and their behaviors rub off on the wild crows in the city, making Tim's training even more effective.

-The drug use in Gotham has gone down significantly since Tim started training his crows to gather needles. Many drug addicts who used in public would find themselves surrounded by hundreds of crows, all leering down from the rooftops as they waited for the used needles to drop.

Carrion AU

Tim never paid too much mind to his appearance before, but after he started to have feelings for Kon, things started to change. He began to notice how much more different he was physically compared to his other brothers.

The differences were obvious. The constant abuse of poisons and drugs he's endured since childhood, have severely affected Tim's body, making him thin and frail, like a goblin. Meanwhile his brothers looked like Greek Gods.

For the first time ever he's worried about his appearance.

((Gasp! Character growth! Don't worry though, Kon assures he likes Tim, Skinny limbs and all!))

Carrion AU

Tim's biggest source of stress is keeping family alive and kicking, unfortunately for him, they don't make it very easy to do. The human body can only endure so much and their destructive lifestyles means he's dealing with a life and death scenario almost every other week.

Even worse are the times when he's too late.

The most recent death he can recall is Damien's. The brat had been tossed into the wall by Killer Croc, and the kid's body, specifically his spine, couldn't handle that much force.

When the fight was over, Tim knew the kid was already dead. The way his body went limp told him enough, but he didn't let the other's know. Especially Dick, who was having a breakdown over Damien's lifeless corpse, making Jason have to wrestle him away so Tim could get near.

For some reason, his family trusted him implicitly when it came to medical knowledge, so when he told the other's Damien was fine, they wilted in relief.

They never looked hard enough to see him slip out his special needles, the one's he made to cheat death, and inject it into the cold body beneath him.

A minute later, and Damien's are eyes snapping open. His chest heaves with air as he groans in pain and confusion, especially when Dick envelopes him a hug, sobbing in relief.

Tim simply notes to himself that, once again, he'll need to refill his emergency stock.

Carrion AU Updated Tidbits

So here's a HUGE info dump for the AU, and some minor adjustments to the lore.

-When Tim was a child, he was severely neglected by his parents. They had no interest in him and let the nannies do all of the care taking, and sadly, Tim was fine with that, until he started getting sick.

The nannies that took care of him were suddenly gone, and his parents became obsessed with him eating all of his food, especially dinner, but the more he ate, the worst he got, and Tim wasn't an idiot.

He knew the food was the real reason he was becoming so ill, so when his parents left the house, he studied. He researched poisons, searched through the house for information and clues, and finally found the truth.

The insurance plan filed under his name, the threatening letters from the mob, and even the bottle of poison his parents were using to coat his meals, all pointed to one single truth. His parents were going to kill him. They needed money from the insurance company to pay off the mob and his death would give them just that.

A few night's later, Tim secretly watched his mother make dinner and saw her pour a deadly amount of poison into his meal. Tim's tiny heart hammered against his chest, and one resounding thought echoed in his 7 year old mind, I don't want to die.

So he crept past his mother and towards the wine glasses, pulled out a small vile and dumped it's contents into both drinks. He then went to the dinning table and sat down quietly, his hands shaking the entire time.

Five minutes later and he was still there, trembling. Both his of parents were dead on the floor.

Gotham is divided into two parts, The Gilded Square, and the Chaos Circle. The Gilded Square is the upper center part of Gotham, where Batman and the police force have complete control. This is were the majority of citizens live and where Wayne Tower and Manor are located.

The Chaos Circle covers the entire area outside the Gilded Square and encompasses most of Gotham. Here, there is no law, criminals run wild and their numbers are immense. The worst felons from all over the country are sent here, and psychopaths like the Joker rule the streets.

-Batman does not like killing, but he will do it if he has to. The sheer amount of chaos he has to fight against has brought him to this point. Still, it's a last resort option, and he still won't use guns.

-The rest of the Batfamily try to follow this rule but there are times when it's broken. Jason likes to use guns and has no problem with offing more people than necessary. Dick gets extremely violent when he finds hurt kids. Damian meanwhile thinks torture should be implemented into their cause. Stephanie likes shoving fireworks into unethical places, like eyeballs, and then there's Tim.

-Tim, who likes to make drugs that cause people to claw into their skin so they can dig out the spiders hiding inside their veins. To say Bruce has his hands full in this AU, is an understatement.

Hi! Big BIG fan of your Au’s, especially the Cairon one with my boi Tim.

I had a question: So we all know little Timmy was basically a stalker to the bats in the comics. Would he have still have done that in this AU? And do you think he ever ran into any of the nicer rogues? (We know what he does with scarecrow 💀)

Like, does Pamela show him different plants that have medicinal purposes?

Or Selina teaching him how to fight since he’s closer to her build than Batman’s?

(Tried to break it up so it wasn’t a wall of text 😅)

-In the Carrion AU, Tim started to stalk Batman and Robin right after he killed his parents. While he did spend most of his time studying toxicology and medicine, he also had more than enough free time to trail after the shadowy duo.

-Tim never encountered any super villains while he crept the streets of Gotham, however he would stumble into a few thugs occasionally. But each encounter would end the same, with Tim scampering away unharmed, while leaving his attacker waling in agony from a single needle.

-When Jason was killed *horrifically* by the Joker, Tim saw how much worse Bruce had gotten, and decided to help him by kidnapping Scarecrow. Learning the formula for the Fear toxin was also a sweet bonus, so in Tim eyes, he was getting a two for one special. He just hadn't expected Bruce to find him so quickly.

-Tim relationship with Poison Ivy was quite bad in the beginning. While Tim found Ivy's plants fascinating, Tim was an outright murderous monster in Ivy's eyes. Ivy valued plant life WAY more than human life, having no qualms about murdering someone over a wilted fern. So when she saw Tim causally rip her flowers apart and stuff their husks into his little bags, she FREAKED.

-WAY later on though they start to mutual respect each other. Tim tires to not kill the plants he collects from Ivy, and while he usually fails ((Tim has a black thumb)), Ivy appreciates the effort. They also both like to talk about toxicology and hold each other's opinions on such matters in high regards.

-As for Tim and Selina, well, Tim is kinda intimated by Selina, lol. She confuses the shit out of him and he doesn't know how to react to her. Tim a really good actor when he needs to be ((He freaks out Jason when he does it so well)) but with her, he's not sure how to act. So he avoids her. ((The same could be said for Wonder Woman, Tim just doesn't know how to handle motherly kindness))

This pic is of Kon telling Tim he’s been invited to come over for the weekend at Ma and Pa Kent’s farm. 

-Tim is confused, why do the Kents want to meet him? Slightly flustered, Kon explains that the Kents are curious about Tim. Apparently Kon talks about Tim so much, that the Kents think they’re friends.

-After hearing the explanation, Tim is too stunned to answer Kon at first. Friend? Had he, Timothy Drake, made a friend?! He takes a moment to bask in the glow of that information before he agrees to the invitation. It’s what friends do, right?

-No one one believes Tim when he goes back to the manor and tells them he’s going to a friend's house that weekend, no one except Bruce and Alfred. The two older man are both stunned and elated to see Tim being sociable and are more than happy to let him go. 

-So Kon flies Tim to Kansas and it’s the best/weirdest time of Tim’s life. He has never seen so much COLOR in his life, it’s like he was living in a black and white film in Gotham compared to this, and the Kents are so nice and welcoming it’s almost unsettling.

-Tim ties his best to behave like a proper human being and not the cellar goblin that he is. It’s not hard though as he fascinated by everything going on around him, he’s never experienced this much warmth in his life and is more than happy to simply just sit back and experience it.

-Then on Sunday morning Shit hits the fan. Tim is woken up Kon, telling him frantically that Pa kent is on the ground and something’s wrong with his heart. Tim is up in seconds, now kneeling next to the older man, who is clearly having a heat attack, and gets to work. 

-Tim’s almost thankful for the abrupt medical emergency, because this was something he knew how to handle. It also helped that he carries his emergency medical needles on him all the time.

-After stabilizing Pa Kent, Tim looks up and feels his eyes almost bulge out of his skull because SUPERMAN is standing next to him, looking frightened, and asking “Is my dad okay?” And Tim can only just dumbly nod before they take the older man to the hospital to recover.

-And thats how Tim met the Kents and also ended up saving Superman’s dad’s.

What happened with Bruce in the Carrion Au? His birds are killing people so I wonder when did he become like okayish with killing?

So Gotham in this AU is a hellhole. Every city in the United States secretly sends their worst criminals to Gotham. These people are the worst of the worst, and their sheer overwhelming numbers make it impossible to humanly take care of all of them.

Bruce doesn't want to be killer, or his kids, but they are fighting tooth and nail every single night with deranged killers and psychopaths from every corner of the US.

It's not until Tim makes friends with Kon, and Dick helps make the Teen Titans does Bruce begin to trust outside heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman. He finally goes to them one day and explains what's happening to Gotham and all the heroes are like WTF?! Of course well help you!
