carmuel short story thoughts (spoilers):

- the first episode was comedic gold

- even if ooc sometimes, the way samuel was so smug was so funny (dont get me wrong some of them he'd definitely say but i feel like a ton of the lines were really wayy too overconfident for him)

- the classical music ruined the vibe of the sex scene sns

- carla kinda pissed me off like sorry but open up bitch (affectionate), i feel like it's always samuel who's fighting for her and even if it makes sense on some level i feel like they minimized the depth of her feelings for him that she showed in the previous seasons

- speaking of poor samuel, i love him and want all the best for him (then again also: stop talking sometimes)

- her not telling him about the shit with her father - ugh. forever bitter (=i need another 5 years later idcidc). i thought when he kept pushing about her parents she'd crack but they glossed it over and didn't deal with it at all which was the biggest shortcoming imo

- i love all their kisses aghh

- also they're both super hot

- the truth or dare scene was soo in character

- i'm kind of pissed they turned it into another christian situation? like i know it's pretty authentic and it would've come up eventually but tbh i feel like they invented a new (albeit realistic) issue and didn't let them deal with their main previous one

- still i'm forever grateful we got to see more of them and am inhaling every last crumb of this fanservice

- the closure is infinitely better than after the s3 finale

- my heart was shattered by the "i will always love you" and it's never gonna be the same

- (i legit feel like half of it was straight 10 fanfics mixed together lmao. imagine if they'd actually read them - for the record i know it's just bc everyone uses the same clichés and tropes but just imagine)

How are you feeling post-carmuel finale???

i keep rapidly switching between being fine and content and then being absolutely devastated and heartbroken, but they were beautifully written, shot, and especially acted and im so glad we got this love letter to carmuel i really am. i do feel like carla and samuel need to do some individual growth before they’re ready for a relationship with each other and the fact that we got word for word confirmation that carla is the love of his life and he is the realest thing she’s ever had/will always love him is a comfort

#hopefully samuels storyline doesn’t end too shittily and i can hold onto the hope #that they meet each other and try again in the future #however i’ve still had anxiety clawing at me for days it’s sick really #carmuel spoilers #answered

Elite’s Season 5 Ending *Contains Spoilers*

Was anyone else incredibly let down and disappointed by the ending of this season? It was known going into this season that it would be the last for the characters of Samuel, Cayetana, Omar, and Rebeka yet they didn’t really have goodbye storylines/scenes like Guzman and Ander got last season. The average person watching wouldn’t even realize that those characters are no longer going to be in the show. This probably means that next season they will get a passing comment saying what happened to them/where they went, or they won’t even be mentioned at all. I’m also still annoyed that Guzman basically peaced out after commuting murder last season, while Samuel took the fall (which is exactly what I said would happen).

Now let’s talk the “death” of the season. First of all WTF was that? Were the similarities to Marina’s death supposed to represent a full circle moment for the shows lead character? The fact that the man Samuel saw as a father figure was the one to do this to him was just dirty, Samuel never has good things happen to him. Is it an ambiguous ending? We don’t exactly see one way or the other what the outcome is. The police come and arrest Benjamin, but what about Samuel? It definitely doesn’t look good with the actor not returning and his character bleeding out for a while before anyone shows up. However, we don’t see if an ambulance or a coroners van shows up. You’d think they would show him being taken away in an ambulance and either being pronounced dead or making it in time to be saved. You also would think they would show him being zipped into a black bag by the coroner. Yet we don’t see either. We also don’t get to see someone telling his next of kin (his mother and Nano) if he’s dead, or see a funeral for him. With the previous main character deaths of Marina and Polo, we saw all of those things. Is this something that will be wrapped up in another short story? If he’s alive, then will we see him in the hospital, possibly reuniting with some old friends, and then moving away? If he’s dead, then will we see his funeral with the possible return of people like Carla, Nano, and Guzman? Or will this all be answered by Ari or someone else making a comment about her father killing her boyfriend or the principle killing a student?

I’m personally hoping that against all odds he manages to survive and reunites with Carla. They were always the shows best couple, and deserved a much better story and ending than the writers and showrunners ever gave them. Thinking about the alternative, where Carla has to burry yet another man she loved is just too devastating and sad. Also if he dies, it’s such an awful and sucky ending to his character, who’s pretty much been the shows punching bag throughout the entire series. Knowing this show though, he’s probably dead and will be quickly forgotten about by all the characters.

CARMUEL SPIN OFF SPOILERS

Okay so two people have already watched the spin offs and one of them released some spoilers (i promise they're not big things) about the episodes, here's what one of them said about the carmuel one:

Their spin off is the longer one out of the 4 short stories.

It's emotional but it's also surprisingly funny in some moments between them.

The spin off aesthetic and cinematography will give us a "classic romance" type of vibes.

sometimes it makes me sad yet i understand that carla and samuel thinks the other deserved better. but whenever they're in front of each other, the future conversation would never leave because at the end of the day, they love each otherrr. maybe that's one reason i didn't see the short as a closure because they can't even talk about it face to face...

i just think they need to grow honestly like i do believe in that moment in time as carla sent the message that she thinks they can’t work it out but you have to remember that they’re young and have gone through so much. carla still couldn’t or wouldn’t tell him about her parents yeray etc which fueled samuel’s complex about not deserving her because he thought she was ashamed of him. i hate that they boiled down their issues to money but i get that samuel is insecure and i get that they’re both scared rn. i do believe that they’ll meet again someday when they’re both ready to be in a relationship with each other
