Here’s a former 2 room schoolhouse that’s been converted to a home. It’s in Centre Wellington, Ontario, Canada and is a unique home - C$1,350,000.
Look at this charming detail- a date plaque and the original school bell.
I love the sunny entrance foyer.
It’s been renovated into a roomy, open concept space with a lovely stone fireplace.
It has large windows to let in lots of natural light.
Yow! That was unexpected. Get down off there.
I really like how they put the blue trim on a white kitchen.
Lots of stone walls from the original school building.
Upstairs is a very spacious main bd. Like wallpaper border going around the windows.
There’s also another equally large bd. up here.
Plus 2 smaller bds.
One of 2 baths.
Look at the security lock on this door- you pull it out, step on it, and a post goes into the floor to secure it.
Outside it has beautiful grounds, including a patio.
Love the gazebo.
Just lovely. Look at the pretty countryside.

oh my god. okay. my dear old vancouver specials. can you share a little more about ur thoughts on them...
wowwwww im really being indulged the last few days in getting to yap about all my stuff this is so fun i feel like i'm at a sleepover making everyone watch my favorite movie because it's MY birthday. ANYWAY
i had not heard of the vancouver special until a few months ago when i read this article about multigenerational homes and i wanted a visual for what a vancouver special was because im a House Guy (i have sketchbooks and pinterest boards entirely full of drawings of house exteriors i don't play) and i was immediately Enchanted... they're so charming and cute and distinctive like there's such a Personality to them that i love. every article i read was like "they're so boxy and ugly and dated and awkward looking" which HELLOOOO that's the appeal!!!! they've got Heart and theyre the only style of building that's 100% local and unique to the area like that's a legacy... that's something to be proud of... especially because looks aside the interior design is very ingenious and cool to ME like they're so adaptable and easily turned into multi family structures bc of the zoning loophole they used where the first floor is technically a basement. and they've historically been popular among immigrants and working class people like okayyy she's a woman of the people... for the people... and she slays. i need it on record also that i've never been to vancouver i'm just a passionate guy
