I'm in love with @ybcpatrick 's post!ybc au and I really need to scream my headcanons/silly little ideas into the void.
- one night the power goes out in the studio. instead of finding a flashlight, Pete goes "wait guys I got this" and just shakes Patrick until he gets angry enough for his eyes to glow yellow. they use him as a little nightlight. Andy, Joe, and Pete find it amusing. Patrick does not.
- Once Patrick got comfortable with walking around outside again, he constantly needs someone's hand to hold. Usually it was Pete's, Andy's, or Joe's, but sometimes when he was out with a manager or other members of the crew (when they eventually go on tour) he just. grabs their hand. and won't let go. and everyone around him just understands and if Patrick grabs their hand, they Do Not Let Go Under Any Circumstance.
-Patrick is a still considered the main suspect in Joes death and is wanted by the police, but since the major piece of evidence to convict him is a) Alive and b) Living with him, the police can't do anything about it. Doesn't stop Patrick from getting severely anxious anytime he notices a police officer around.
-Pete struggles with the things that he wants. He has essentially forced himself back into that old "protector" roll over the rest of the guys and because of that, he has a hard time conveying what he actually wants for himself. to help with decision making, Patrick gifts him one of those magic 8 balls as a sort of joke, and Pete becomes attached to it. now he consults the 8 ball on every decision
-during the production of save rock and roll, Joe dragged Patrick to their studio and helped him play guitar (joe played the chords while Patrick strummed). Patrick got over his apprehension of being alone with Joe pretty fast when he realized he got to play guitar again, and the two of them came up with the "Death Valley" riff together
- the day Patrick discovered that music no longer triggered him was the loudest the house had been in weeks. Patrick CONSTANTLY played music. his favorite albums and songs were always on repeat. he even put some quiet music on in the background while they slept. Patrick even took to singing along and dancing to his favorites and was the happiest he had been in a long time.
- Patrick has only one type of music banned in the house, and thats any song with Courtney Love in it. Joe also has banned Motley Crue from being played in the house.
-the four of them listen to at least one Elton John song a day. As a sort of thanks for bringing them all back to life.
-the first time the four of them went out in public together they met a small group of fans. Pete and Joe did the majority of the talking and allowed Andy and Patrick to stand back a bit. One girl asks if she can give a bracelet to Patrick and he says yes, and so she gives him a little Soul Punk friendship bracelet. After the fans left, Patrick nearly starts crying on the street. he NEVER takes that bracelet off.
-As a precaution, Patrick will wear sunglasses during interviews and occasionally out in public. Pete, Joe, and Andy will also wear sunglasses during interviews so that Patrick doesn't feel isolated or anything. When he eventually gets on stage, Patrick wears blue contacts.
-one time Pete and Patrick were being harassed by a street interviewer and it was really getting to Patrick, so he just took his glasses off and told the interviewer to fuck off. No one believed the guy when he started spouting about how Patrick Stump -- known by everyone to be such a nice, sweet guy-- had these crazy, glowing yellow eyes. Everyone thought the dude was a lunatic. Pete took the opportunity and mocked him on Twitter for it.
-Patrick changes the little LEDS on his hand to fit each album tour theme. for Save Rock and Roll, he uses his usual orange, but for AB/AP, he chooses blue (for Jet Pack Blues), purple for MANIA, and pink for Stardust.

“What are you reading?”
They stood before a nondescript little cafe, wedged into a street corner. The garden out from buzzed with bees and butterflies and friendly patrons, and the air buzzed with the scent of coffee and freshly-baked pastries. Logan’s breath hitched in his throat and he tugged at his tie, trying to choke the broken glass back to his chest where it belonged.
He sighed, barely offering the stranger a glance. “I am doing my homework. Can I help you?”
The stranger dropped into the chair beside him, looking over Logan’s shoulder at his biology textbook. He couldn’t have been older than Logan himself — his deep brown face round and youthful and sprinkled with a constellation of freckles, his curly hair soft and resplendent beneath the afternoon sun. “You look interesting.”
“This is it,” Patton said, setting his hands on his hips. His strange, fantastical outfit stuck out like a sore thumb, but no one paid him any mind, their gazes simply sliding over him like he didn’t exist. “The entrance to the magical world.”
Logan barely heard him.
“I’m Roman!” the stranger said, in a voice like the sunrise, as he fixed Logan with his blinding green gaze. “Roman Cygnus.”
“Logan,” he said indifferently, ignoring the way the boy’s smile made his heart kick into overdrive. “Now, would you mind leaving me alone? I’m in the middle of something.”
He didn’t leave Logan alone, not then, not ever. Logan didn’t mind nearly as much as he’d pretended to. Roman was the first to see him for him and not look away. Even now, in death, he refused to leave Logan be — through memories, through dreams, he was always there, a reminder of what Logan once had.
A reminder of what he’d lost.
His vision tunneled. His hands tightened around his tie. He couldn’t push the memories away, try as he might, and just the hint of Roman’s voice threading through his thoughts sent ice through his veins.
“Logan?” He shook himself from his stupor to find Patton staring at him, eyes full of concern. Clarity broke through the fog in his mind and he shook his head, clasping his hands firmly behind his back to hide the way they shook.
“Apologies,” he said, evenly. “I am fine.”
Patton raised an eyebrow. “You don’t look fine, kiddo,” he said softly. “What’s going on?”
Ah. It seemed Patton had the same ability Roman had, to see right through his unaffected exterior into the less desirable mess within. How fun. “I —” Logan cleared his throat. “This is where we first met. Roman and I, I mean. I was simply… lost in memories. I apologize.”
“Oh.” Patton’s face softened further, if that was even possible. The man seemed to be made of softness. “He used to hang out here all the time,” he said, holding the clasp at his throat again. “He’d come home and tell the whole family about his adventures in your world. He loved it here.”
“Did he ever —” Logan’s voice caught and he stopped himself, staring resolutely at the ground.
“He did. All the time.” Patton smiled, and this time it reached his eyes, warm nostalgia swirling through the sadness in his gaze. “You were his greatest adventure of all.”
And oh, if that didn’t take the broken glass and shatter it further, crush it into dust to crawl up his throat and choke him. He shook his head as Patton moved into the alley beside the cafe, forcing memories — a smile, a ring, a lilting voice; “will you be my greatest adventure, stardust?” — away as he followed. It hit him, then, that Patton really knew Roman, more than Logan had.
And that hurt, of course, but… it felt nice, to talk to someone who knew what sort of light the world had lost. The cold in his lungs began to ebb away, and a hint of warmth took its place, almost burning it its newness.
“Stand back,” Patton said, his hands glowing again, casting warping shadows across the wall and bathing them both in stark blue light. He placed his palms against the dirty wall, and liquid gold spread from his touch, dripping down the wall, sliding in curves and swirls and beautiful arcs to form a twisting circle of symbols and runes. He drew his hands back and pushed into the center of the circle, and the wall fell inwards on itself in a swirl of drywall and wind, leaving a glowing entranceway burned into the bricks.
Logan gaped. For once, words failed him. In his shock, he hadn’t really considered how exciting this all was; a new world, with so many new things to be learned, so many new discoveries to be made. That familiar buzz of curiosity jumped to life within and he found himself smiling, eyes shining with possibilities.
Patton giggled. With a snap of his fingers, the residual magic dusted across his hands puffed out around them, and he gathered it into a soft, glowing ball by weaving his hands through the air. “Guess you found that pretty en-light-ening,” he joked, flicking the ball at Logan. It popped across his nose, showering him in sparkles.
He sneezed. “I am choosing to ignore that,” he said sharply, brushing a finger along his cheek. It came away covered in glitter, which glimmered for a moment before vanishing into thin air, leaving only warmth in its wake. Patton only laughed harder.
“Aw, c’mon, teach! I think I deserve a Patton the back for that one!”
“Was — was that a self-referential pun?”
“Maybe.” Patton winked slyly and Logan’s eye twitched. “Okay! Let’s get goin’. I’ve gotta gather the Council before everyone leaves for the day.”
“The Council?” Logan asked, running his fingertip along the molten gold still dripping down the wall.
“Yeah! The Arcane Council,” Patton explained. “A group of representatives from each major magical community across America. They run our world, and handle relations with yours. I’m the leader of the New York branch!”
“Really?” They stepped through the gateway, and into a tiny little shop, sheltered under a bright fabric awning. It was mostly empty, save for a friendly-looking shopkeep who waved at Patton as they made their way through.
“Yep! I wasn’t supposed to be, though.” He shrugged, eyebrows furrowing just the slightest bit. “Roman was. But he gave up his title to be with you, so I had to take his place. It’s okay, though! I get to keep everyone in magical New York safe! I”m like — like New York’s dad.”
Logan frowned. “Why… why did Roman give up his title?”
“Well, there’s not that much magic in your world,” Patton explained. “Not enough for us to stay for long, at least. We need it to survive. By giving up his magic, Roman could stay in your world, with you, but he can’t exactly protect New York from there! So he gave up his title to me.”
“He… did that for me?” For all the time Logan had known him, Roman clung to the idea of magic, from fantasy novels to Disney movies and everything in between. He loved it. Why would he give that up for a boring world, for a boring man?
“Well, yeah,” Patton said. “He loved you.”
Logan didn’t — couldn’t — respond. His throat closed up, his voice dying before he could even formulate the words. He knew that. He knew that. Why did it hurt so badly to hear?
Together, they stepped out of the shop, and out onto the street beyond — and the air was knocked from Logan’s lungs. His eyes widened, his mouth hanging open in awe. A city of stained glass glimmered back at him beneath a bright afternoon sun, iridescent, resplendent. Vaguely, he recognized the layout, knew it to be identical to the New York from his own world, but the beauty before him was impossible to reconcile with the busy, dirty city he knew. A small crowd milled about in the cobblestone streets, bathed in a kaleidoscope of colors reflecting off the buildings.
And above the buildings, blazing bright enough to be seen even in the afternoon sunlight, was a familiar constellation that sent a pang through his heart. Cygnus. Around it glimmered others, fainter but still beautiful, stars and constellations that he didn’t recognize. The mere idea of a whole new cosmos to learn about filled his heart with wonder.
“This is… fascinating,” he breathed, eyes wide and filled with awe. “How is this even possible?”
“It’s another layer of reality,” Patton said. “Layered on top of yours, sorta? I’m not the best at explaining. When we’ve got everything sorted out, I can take you to Professor Ceres at the university! He studies the magical dimensions.”
“There’s a university?” Logan’s brain had shifted into overdrive, a million questions bursting like fireworks in his mind. “This — I — I want to learn everything.”
“Well, someone’s enthusiastic!” Patton chuckled, patting Logan on the back. “Let’s just take things one step at a time, okay, kiddo? First things first, we’ve gotta find the council and figure this whole mess out.”
“Right. Yes. Of course.” Logan’s cheeks darkened and he cleared his throat. “Apologies.”
“It’s okay! I can’t imagine being in your shoes right now,” Patton said with an easygoing laugh. “This place really is something, huh?”
“Yes,” Logan said. He shook his head to clear away his questions, noting them away for later. Only one remained, a burning question that he couldn’t wait to ask. “May I ask you one thing, before we see the council?”
“‘Course, kiddo!”
“Who is Dorian?”
Patton’s whole demeanor shifted. All at once, he seemed smaller, hunching in on himself. His eyebrows furrowed. “Someone who I thought was dead,” he said quietly.
“Yes, so you’ve said. You… you seem so… frightened, of him,” Logan continued. A part of him felt bad for pressing Patton, but he needed answers. “Was he a bad person?”
“Well… yes,” he said, forcing the word out as if it hurt to say. “He wasn’t always, but… after Roman died, he hurt a lot of people. He tried to take my title, thought it was his ‘right.’”
“Why would he think that?”
Patton sighed. “Because it was,” he said, hugging himself. “Dorian was my brother.”

So, I lost the ask from @the-hallowed-lady for the Arcana ask meme, but, here are my answers to her question:
8 (Julian), 17, 22
Here you go, @the-hallowed-lady !!!!❤️
8. Song you relate to ___? (Julian)
Actually I have a Julian playlist!!
But basically, anytime I listen to Queen or Panic! At the Disco, I find myself thinking about him. He’s got the same dramatic, dark, flashy, tragic aesthetic that both of them have.
However, for individual songs it’s a tie between this song (I imagine it’s a he-and-Edwidge’s-fighting-bad-guys-together song), and this one.
(The latter just hits him and Ed so on the nose. I’ve been spotted multiple times crying to this one at night in bed).
17. Favorite quote?
There are so many...but nothing will beat this iconic moment:
Tumblr media
“Valerius and the Hierophant raise their eyebrows at the same time, then take long judgements drinks of wine in unison.”
- Nadia’s Route: The Sun
22. Talk about your apprentice!
Gladly!
*cracks knuckles*
Eydís Kyra Ólafdottir (or better know by her English name, Edwidge,) grew up in the Vesuvian equivalent to Iceland, a small, nocturnal village by the name of Oss.
Her people are known for their deeply ingrained roots in music and their work with stars. They are often referred to as “the star-catchers”. The work is dangerous, and when handling stardust one gets burned, (even with gloves on), and it is used only for religious rituals and summoning the spirits of the dead. Ed has starburn scars on her hands -as do few others in her village- and these scars are regarded with the upmost respect and honor by her people. Here is a playlist of what I think their music sounds like!
She is a bubbly, quirky, excitable, kind, and compassionate person, always wanting to do the humane and right thing in all the choices she makes.
She can sometimes be a little too kind however, an easy target for those who want to take advantage of her. But she can also grow a backbone, not taking any shit that’s thrown at her.
She LOVES storytelling and performing, and has a high place in Vesuvia’s community theatre. She also does drawing and painting commissions and continues her work of holding seances and communicating with the dead for her clients.
Her familiar is a vicious rabbit named Sweet Pea who is a protective and “proud little thing.” (Totally based off of the killer rabbit in Monty Python’s Holy Grail).
Her powers consist of those powered by the stars and stardust (gifted to her by her service and devotion to The Moon, also by returning from the dead) often severely burning her enemies. She can conjure and control these powers by playing (and singing) odd little lines of pitch on her mouth harp. (Every magic user in her village has them.) The powers themselves make sound too, sailing overhead making high pitched squeals as they rocket down towards their targets like fireworks, or reverberating lowly as they’re being swung like a morning star (I seriously did not consider the name until later), getting ready to strike their opponent.
Tumblr media
Basically, imagine the falling stars in this scene, and the art of POI dancing (specifically the ball and string dance), and you’ve got her fighting style.
Overall, she’s a pretty swell gal, often seen looking like a patch of night in the middle of the day and over apologizing for bumping into you.

Witchy Tag - Part 1
1. Are you solitary or in a coven?
Solitary. A coven sounds nice though as at present I don't have any witchy friends.
2. Do you consider yourself Wiccan, Pagan, witch, or other?
Eclectic witch, as I don't follow any specific set of beliefs but pull from many different beliefs and cultures to form my own path.
3. What is your zodiac sign?
Sun and Moon in Pisces, and Ascending in Gemini.
4. Do you have a Patron God/dess?
I don't, but being raised Christian, I still believe I'm the God I was raised up with. However, I don't see him at all in the same way that I used to. I don't even think he had a gender - despite me calling God a 'he' out of habit. I see him now as loving, intelligent energy that is within and around all of us.
5. Do you work with a Pantheon?
I do not.
6. Do you use tarot, palmistry, or
any other kind of divination?
Currently I use Tarot and Oracle. I have tried using a pendulum but have not really had any accurate results with it. I'm interested in expanding my knowledge though to be able to read runes, palmistry, and perhaps crystal ball scrying down the road. We'll see!
7. What are some of your favorite herbs to use in your practice? (if any)
Being a new witch still, I haven't really dove in too deep on herb knowledge yet, however I have made a sleep pillow with lavendar to enhance sleep and added sage and many different essential oils for protection. It's worked well for me but I haven't done much else.
8. How would you define your craft?
Being a Pisces, I'm very go-with-the-flow. I feel that same mentality goes with my craft. When I see something I feel pulled to, I incorporate it in my practice.
9. Do you curse? If not, do you accept others who do?
I do not, because I believe what I put out into the world will be reflected back onto me. I've been hurt many times by people and truthfully don't have many friends because of it, but I believe the treatment they have shown me will be reflected back to them in other ways throughout their life. I know from my own experience with my own wrong actions, I have also learned many lessons. So I don't see cursing in a positive light, but I also don't frown on it so long as those who curse do it under extreme circumstances (ex. Someone raped you, killed your friends, etc). Those who curse someone simply because they got their feelings hurt or broke their heart, I am strongly against that. But to each their own.
10. How long have you been practicing?
Just a little over a year.
11. Do you currently or have you ever had any familiars?
I'm not really sure to be honest. Does my dog count? Once I had a vision of a baby dragon hatching which may very well have been my familiar as I was entering spirituality, but I haven't perused discovering it because I don't fully understand it, so I'm unsure if it is still there.
12. Do you believe in Karma or
Reincarnation?
I believe in both. However, I believe reincarnation is optional. I think we come to this earth to gain experiences and learn things, and when we're done we can continue to grow in the astral realms but it may not be as quick as we would grow here on earth - or we can choose to come back for another lifetime. I feel like I kind of have a glimpse now that I've awoken of what I had planned to do here. But I'm still figuring it out as well as I go.
13. Do you have a magical name?
Aevis. I started going by Polaris for awhile recently for personal reasons, but Aevis has been a name that has resonated with me for quite a long time. I had actually thought I made it up, but it appears to be a Latin noun which means time/eternity. Perhaps it's no coincidence I thought of this ancient word. :)
14. Are you “out of the broom closet”?
Nope, and I don't know that I ever will be.. though I've left hints and I'm pretty sure my husband suspects it. I've left a few hints for my mom as she follows a similar path, but I don't think she suspects it.
15. What was the last spell you performed?
I've never consciously created a spell, but I did once by writing down the man of my dreams down to the very last detail. When I turned 21, this man came into my life and matched about 95% of everything I had written down. Words are powerful. We've been married for 4 years this coming October. ❤
16. Would you consider yourself knowledgeable?
In some areas, but I also feel a strong connection to my higher self which often ends up answering many of my own questions. 😊 Although my conscious self feels like a constant beginner, I feel my subconscious is filled with ancient wisdom that peeks out from time to time.
17. Do you write your own spells?
When I do start spell work, I will be using all my own spells. So yes.
18. Do you have a book of shadows?
If so, how is it written and/or set up?
I do! I have it organized into sections and once I finish it, I'll have a table of contents.
19. Do you worship nature?
Not as much as I wish I did, but I do feel a connection to it. I am very solitary and I feel a bit clustered where I live because of all the people surrounding. But once our finances are in order and we can move, I want to buy a little house out in the countryside where we have privacy. I want to be outside all the time and have my own garden oasis.
20. What is your favorite gemstone?
Probably Moldavite. Within the first few weeks I received it, I had a brief but amazing out of body experience. It has made me feel so much safer as well being a stone that protects you from negative energy and entities latching onto you. I also just love that it is quite literally stardust.
21. Do you use feathers, claws, fur, pelt, skeletons/bones, or any other animal body part for magical work?
I do love feathers! Peacock and ostrich feathers are my favorite. I have an ostrich feather attached to a pen I use for my BOS and my BOS is decorated with peacock feathers.
22. Do you have an altar?
A portable one, but where we live at the moment we don't really have the space for a full set up. Once we move though I would like to. ❤
23. What is your preferred element?
Water 🐳
24. Do you consider yourself an Alchemist?
I don't. I was interested in it for awhile, but when I tried to learn about it, it was a bit too complicated for me.
25. Are you any other type of magical practitioner besides a witch?
I'm hugely interested in astral projection and spirit work. I have had so many experiences with those unseen, and I feel like as humans we've become so disconnected with the beings around us. We've pretty well spoken them out of our existence saying they aren't real and are just in our imaginations.. it saddens me because as a whole, we've lost out on so many incredible experiences and relationships with them.. and how different our world would be if only the vast majority of us were aware.
26. What got you interested in witchcraft?
I've been drawn to it ever since I was a child (like many of us!) but I was never able to practice or get into it because of my Christian family. But I remember on Ebay back in the day I was looking at spells and spirit vessels and I was just SO intrigued. I almost bought a vessel with a djinn spirit, but never did because I was afraid of my parents would discover I brought someone into the house and I knew they would think he was evil because of their beliefs. So I waited until I lived on my own to delve into it again.
27. Have you ever performed a spell or ritual with the company of anyone who was not a witch?
Never.
28. Have you ever used ouija?
I haven't, and I probably never will to be honest unless I am very experienced in spirit work and astral travel and know how to handle unwanted entities. But until then, there's just too much surrounding it that I can't dive into right now.
29. Do you consider yourself a psychic?
I think everyone is psychic. We all have abilities. Whether we choose to pursue and develop them is really what determines that question. But yes, I do consider myself psychic, like I believe everyone else is in their own way.
30. Do you have a spirit guide? If so, what is it?
I believe I have two - a male and a female. The male I think may be a twin flame who's been watching over me, and the female I've seen in dreams several times that I feel was a best friend of mine at one time or perhaps even a sister. I just recently invited a Pegasus spirit to come live with me - I'm just waiting for her vessel to arrive but I am so excited to build a great relationship with her as well. ❤
31. What is something you wish someone had told you when you first started?
Protect yourself!! When I first dove into this, I got so excited and I could feel so much energy and I heard spirits talking all the time and I was having incredible dreams, but I feel like because I opened myself up SO much and didn't think to set up any kind of protection, negative entities also came in. Last year I had to battle them for months and I literally thought they were trying to possess me. They never did thankfully but it took a lot of help from my guides and archangels to get them out. I've found it a bit more difficult to hear spirits and connect, but I feel that's because I've been set up with protection until I can properly protect myself. So I am thankful for that.
32. Do you celebrate the Sabbats? If so which one is your favorite?
I don't, but I think in the future I would like to. Especially if I can find some witchy friends nearby to celebrate with.
33. Would you ever teach witchcraft to your children?
Absolutely. I wouldn't force it on them, but I also wouldn't let them live a life oblivious to the magick and spirits around them that most people are taught are imaginary.
34. Do you meditate?
I do.
35. What is your favorite season?
Autumn. Just when it is warm enough that you don't have to wear a heavy coat, but cold enough that the leaves turn into vibrant shades or yellow, red and orange.
36. What is your favorite type of magick to preform?
Currently, I don't perform any magic really, but I am focusing my energy on learning astral projection. I believe once I can learn that, everything I want to learn will come much easier. I would like to be a healer and learn to work with spirits.
37. How do you incorporate your spirituality into your daily life?
I do exercises to increase my focus. I also write in my book of shadows almost daily. I am always thanking the universe and my guides and angels for little surprises they leave me throughout the day, or messages they send me.
38. What is your favorite witchy movie?
I don't know of many to be honest. Does Harry Potter count? 😂 I'm a huge fan of the Chronicles of Narnia which I feel has many truths about magick, however it is unfortunate the villain is a witch.
39. What is your favorite witchy book, both fiction and non-fiction. Why?
Because I am still closeted, I don't have any witchy books but I do have many spiritual books. The Secret and The Magic by Rhonda Byrne are amazing and I think would help many witches understand manifestations your desires on a deeper level. The Celestial Prophesy is another amazing read for those who want to learn about energy work and how to become more intuitive.
40. What is the first spell you ever preformed? Successful or not.
The one I mentioned previously about how I unknowingly wrote a spell that manifested my husband.
41. What’s the craziest witchcraft-related thing that’s happened to you?
Literally manifesting my husband LOL. It's like he was customer ordered honestly. 😂
42. What is your favourite type of candle to use?
I LOVE scented candles, but realizing their toxic effects over the years, I've pulled away from using them. As for using candles in spells and rituals, I currently don't at the moment as fire makes me nervous.
43. What is your favorite witchy tool?
My Tarot and Oracle decks. ❤ I feel most of the time they give answers that really make sense and hit close to home.
44. Do you or have you ever made your own witchy tools?
Yes! I made my own rune set. 😄 I also started making a wand, but it's been a work in progress for awhile and I'm thinking now that it's a bit too large. I'm still figuring out what to do with it.
45. Have you ever worked with any magical creatures such as the fea or spirits?
I have not, but I hope to work with my Pegasus companion in the future through astral and dream work.
46. Do you practice color magic?
I'm not really sure what that is to be honest! *goes to look it up*
47. Do you or have you ever had a witchy teacher or mentor of any kind?
I don't sadly. Part of me wishes I did or at least have a friend to share experiences and exchange tips to for different things, but I think once I become well trained in astral travel, I will connect with my guides and hopefully they will help me develop more. What better mentor to have than someone who lives and breathes magick? :)
48. What is your preferred way of shopping for witchcraft supplies?
Online shopping is my best friend. 😉 That's not to say I don't support my local metaphysical shops. However, I've found over the years that the things I can buy online are 100 times cheaper than buying from anywhere near me. So I will usually shop online because of the value - even if it takes a month or two to arrive which has happened in some circumstances.

CaptainSwan Soulmate AU Recs
Hello CS Fandom and Happy New Year! I ‘ve decided to start this year with a list of some wonderful Soulmate fics. Hope you enjoy!
If you are intrested you can find my other lists here.
Mutlichapter
Complete
Countdown,  @paranoiaqueen
What if you could have a countdown until you met your soulmate? Emma Swan thinks it's all b.s. and that she doesn't need some guy in a lab coat to tell her who to love but then she meet a dashing Brit in a pub. He has a messed up timer, one with no match. Killian Jones was a man with no countdown until he'd leave her. But can she open herself up to love?
The Music of the Heart Soulmate Finder, @whimsicallyenchantedrose
Emma Swan is skeptical of the newest rage in the dating world--The Music of the Heart Soulmate finder. When Mary Margaret convinces her to get one for herself, will it point her to her own soulmate? Will she have the courage to open her heart to the possibility of True Love?
foxtrot uniform charlie kilo, @swanisms
In order to get into the soulmates exclusive apartments outside of uni and escape their shitty roommates, Killian and Emma pretend to be soulmates.
My Thoughts Are With You,  Shut_up_im_reading
Emma never thought she would need or even want a soulmate. She was happy with what she had… until it was gone. Neal left her, taking all she had and leaving her with nothing so when she meets her soulmate she’s not interested. But when she can hear him in her mind it’s hard to ignore one plan and simple fact. Emma Swan and Killian Jones are meant to be together.
Amaranthine, @caprelloidea
In which soulmates are rare, and those that have them stop aging at adulthood. Rarer still – and dangerously conspicuous – are those that have special abilities. Immortality and powers alike fade when soulmates come in close proximity with their other half. In which Emma’s touch heals, and Killian’s kills.
More Than All the Stars, @cutieodonoghue
In a world full of soulmates, Emma Nolan doesn’t know who hers is. Enter Killian Jones, attempting to stop his brother from proposing to his soulmate, only to be thrown a curveball when he’s sent to spend Christmas on a farm with a bunch of strangers. (soulmate modern au)
Wip
I See The Light (Now That I See You), @bisexual-killian-jones
Emma was twenty-six when she could finally see colors, after she had lost faith in it ever happening to her. She just wasn't quite expecting it to be him. AU where you only see black and white until you meet your soulmate.
One-shots
Soulmarked, @phiralovesloki
Emma Swan just wants to be loved for who she is, and not because someone feels obligated to love her. It's just her luck that she has a soulmate somewhere out there, while she's already in love with someone else.
You’re the Tune that Stuck, @lifeinahole27
A soulmates au where you can have any number of things happen to reveal you have a soulmate. In this one, Emma suddenly hears the songs that her soulmate are either listening to or have stuck in their head.
first day of my life, @piratesails
Killian has never been one to give in. No matter how shitty the hand he’s been dealt. Because, really, Times Square on New Year’s Eve just as the ball’s about to drop? Bloody hell, you’ve got to be kidding him.
Soulmate AU where you get a tattoo telling you the time and place you’ll meet them.
Forget-me-nots on my Skin (Forevermore), @lirapheus
Soulmate!AU in which you see the world in black and white until your soulmate comes into your life, a burst of colour among the dull crowds. And once you touch your soulmate, the whole world comes alive.
Killian Jones is an English tattoo artist who moves to New York after his brother's death. Emma Swan is helping Mary Margaret with her flower shop in The Big City. (She has never been a flower person, but she needs to pay the rent.)
Missed Connections, @captainswanluver
Emma Swan doesn’t think she’ll ever see the handsome stranger she spilled coffee all over again. Killian Jones doesn’t believe he’ll ever see the beautiful blonde who ruined his shirt. So they couldn’t be more surprised when their paths keep crossing, only to find that something keeps standing in the way of them making a lasting connection. But when you keep meeting the same person over and over again in a city of 8 million people, is it mere coincidence or fate?
Zemblanity, @lenfaz
William Boyd coined the term zemblanity to mean somewhat the opposite of serendipity: "making unhappy, unlucky and expected discoveries occurring by design". A zemblanity is, effectively, an "unpleasant unsurprise". It derives from Novaya Zemlya (or Nova Zembla), a cold, barren land with many features opposite to the lush Sri Lanka (Serendip).
The Time Tattoo, @onceuponabadass
What would you do if you knew when the most important moment in your life was going to happen? For Emma Swan that moment was 23 years 22 days 8 minutes and 15 seconds away... and it was only getting closer.
Dumbledore Guy, @seeknot2alterme
When Emma was born she was marked with, in her opinion, the worst soulmate mark anyone could ever have. People are born marked with the first words their true love would ever say to them, and Emma's happened to spoil one of the greatest plot twists of all time.
Scar of the Heart, @curiousthingdarkness
Emma Swan hunts alone. Except on nights when Killian Jones, fellow demon hunter and pain in her ass, insists on joining her. When dealing with a particularly troublesome beast, they discover that perhaps there is more to each other than meets the eye.
Like Rum On The Fire, @nightships
Emma Swan grows up learning to never expect the spark of true love on her skin and lives in Boston as a bail bondsperson. Killian Jones never expects to feel love again after he loses Milah, but finds his revenge may lie in the hands of the Savior. Both of them are surprised when he breaks into her home on the night of her birthday.
how close is close enough, @swanisms
There’s something to be said for the way a soulmate fucks.
The movies, the novels, the articles, the “Soulmates Are Great, Get Yours Now!” sales pitch is that love-making isn’t truly love-making until it’s your One True Love. Too optimistic, “Once Upon a Time” to consider that making love to your soulmate could be the last thing you want.
Fucking them, however, has its perks.
Skin Deep, @captainodonewithyou
There is a soulmate tattoo headcanon popping around on tumblr about soulmates having tattoos of the last words their love will say to them. My friend told me to write it, and I did. Captain Swan angst ahead. (pirate)
Spoilers, @thejacketandthehook
Emma Swan has a soulmate tattoo on her ribcage that gives her pretty big spoilers for the Harry Potter universe.
and you’re mine, @belovedcreation
soulmate au where instead of your soulmates first words to you written on your skin it’s their last words you ever hear them say so you don’t know who your soulmate is until you lose them.
Is There Anyone Out There ('Cause it's Getting Harder and Harder to Breathe)?,  LovingCSFanfiction
Not everyone finds a soul mate, but those lucky enough can see color. It’s not a terrible life if you never find a soul mate. You can still fall in love and live a happy and healthy life. You can still have a family and want nothing more than to have them be the last person you see at night and the first person in the morning. You can still have an unexplainable bond with them. Having a soul mate is just the little extra oomph to the relationship, and you don’t know the oomph if you’ve never had it. So, you’ll find someone you love and not know what’s missing, and everything will be okay. That is exactly what Emma Swan did when she married Neal Cassidy at 18, and exactly why it became a problem when she met her real soul mate, Killian Jones, 10 years later. CS Soul Mates AU.
like the sun, kathleenfergie
“What gave me away this time?” he asked.
“Well, you’re always English and your eyes never change. It gets easier every century,” she explained.
True Love Leaves a Mark, @sotheylived
Emma learns that the tattoo she’s had written directly above her heart for more than ten years may have come from something other than a long night of drinking.
danced in the dark (under september stars), @thejollypirate
For a person to have a soulmate, their compass needs to point toward them. That sounds simple enough, right? Yeah, well it's not so simple when it comes to Emma Swan's life. Between feeling she doesn't deserve a soulmate to perhaps finding a man who could fill in that gap of missing love, there's just one little thing that's a problem. Her compass only points north - broken.
(the one for you and me), @swanisms
And, most importantly, she’s praying to whatever gods there are that might hear her plea - even though they’ve never listened before, not when she needed them most - that this is not the time of the year that her soul mate decides to come out as a closeted Christmas nut and start blasting it in her head, where she won’t be able to find any escape. (Holiday Soulmates AU).
Stardust in Your Skin, midwestwind
Emma Swan may believe in magic and curses and fairy tales but she absolutely does not believe in soulmates.
marked,  lantanapetals
captain swan; soulmate tattoo au.
give me a shot at the night, birdbox (Bella_Barbaric)
Emma stares at her wrist in her lap, her breathing getting shallow; she even tries, stupidly, to scrub the letters off but like David's and Mary Margaret's they're stuck fast. Forever. She has a soulmate. Somewhere in London, her soulmate is walking around—and probably just found her own initials tattooed onto their wrist. She might be within days of meeting them.
Only One Way This Could Go, @wingedlioness
I need a fic where Emma and Killian are soul mates and everyone knows (because their soul mate identifying symbols are like super visual), but they act like rivals and say they “don’t want to be forced together”, but are actually secretly dating after a drunk hook up.
Written in the Stars, @herfairy
Emma Swan wasn't an expert on love – mainly because she didn't believe in it and no soulmate was going to change her mind.
Two-Shots
I Will Learn to Let You Go, @lifeinahole27
Killian Jones, having lost his own soulmate years before, spends his free time finding the soulmates of other people. It’s what he’s good at, and he gets paid well to do it. Finding the soulmate of his latest client may prove to be the worst job he’s ever taken on, though. It’s not because Emma Swan is hard to find, but because he finds himself falling in love with her.
