can't believe it's been three months? feels both longer and shorter at the same time! thank you so much for having me, i'm looking forward to creating more art and interacting more with this wonderful community in the new year!
ps. for fun: if you remember what art piece you found me through, or your favourite of mine, i'd love to know in the comments!!

Every now and again I have the overwhelming urge to archive Taka lore, and, honestly? Might do that before the end of the year.
Like, idk how many people know of the comics and stuff, but there's so much going on with this one character who canonically has no backstory. He's the ONLY ONE without a backstory and it INFURIATES MEEEEEEE
And ik I've said this before, but I'll say it again: TAKA'S ALSO THE ONLY CHARACTER IN THE ENTIRETY OF DANGANRONPA AS A FRANCHISE TO HAVE AN OFFICIAL MASTERMIND OUTFIT WITHOUT EVER BEING THE MASTERMIND!!!!
(At least to my knowledge. No other character has had a MM! outfit published in an official source directly tied to Spike that I've been able to find.)
(First two pictures are definitely official (4KOMA KINGS Vol.4), the second two I can't find a source for)
I'm pretty sure everyone already knows most of this stuff, but I just want to remind people just how much about this character we either don't know or we wish would have happened to him. And also he's my favorite so there's that :)
(And, yes, MM! Taka does have two-toned boots as well lol)

the example people always go for with 'taking things literally' is 'not understanding idioms and metaphors' or 'not understanding sarcasm' and that's frustrating for Me, Specifically, Personally because I am a person who has a lot of social struggles with Taking Things Literally but, crucially, not in that sense. I understand idioms & metaphors just fine and, as someone who's primary special interest is the written word & storytelling, actually am pretty good at them and thrive with them. I miss sarcasm occasionally but catch it most of the time and am often sarcastic myself.
No, my Taking Things Literally is that if you say something to me or give me an instruction, I will Understand It Literally. I will get what you said and not at all what you meant. There are exceptions to this in cases where I've learned the script and even use it myself (e.g. the other day I asked my mum "Is this Not Butter" about a thing, and she replied "Yes but it has buttermilk", because we both understood the real question was "is this the lactose-free spread?" because I was making food for my sister) but in the vast majority of cases, I just. will miss implications and unspoken assumptions. I will just completely miss them, they will not register, I Did Not Know They Were There.
Implications in a narrative? I am on it immediately, this is my bread and butter, I can pull a story apart to get to five layers of subtext & implication & theme like breathing
Reliably understanding that the request "Can you empty the dishwasher?" includes emptying the drying rack which is not physically part of the dishwasher because the real request is "Can you put the clean dishes away?"? Not a chance

Emmet is NOT:
sadistic
unhinged
obsessed with Ingo
violent, a serial killer, etc
“a babey uwu” or an “angel” that can do no wrong (please do not infantilize adults!)
incapable of caring for himself
in need of Ingo to keep him in check
intentionally mean in or outside of battles (being competitive and unintentionally blunt does NOT equal being mean)
actually a Zoroark, or otherwise non-human (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon AUs and other similar AUs where everyone is a Pokemon/Submas is not singled out as being non-human are usually OK)
This is not meant to single anyone or any works out, nor is it saying all fan interpretations are bad. Please use critical thinking and judgement here, folks.
And bl*nkshippers--dni, I will block you. I shouldn’t have to say this but obviously bl*nkshipping is NOT something Ingo and Emmet do and is something Pokemon will NEVER do.
Here is a by no means exhaustive list of resources explaining how/why these sorts of depictions are ableist and how/why they are harmful. Please check these out.
And if you’re new here/haven’t, please go to Bulbapedia and read Emmet’s (and Ingo’s) pages, or otherwise engage with the actual source material. It might be hard to acquire Gen 5 games if you don’t have them, or make it to them in the Battle Subway, and/or you might have reasons you cannot get PLA, but YouTube is FULL of Lets Plays that can show you Submas in the games, and to make things easier, @1863-project put together a compilation of videos that contain their canonical appearances! Please do not only look at fandom interpretations and assume that’s how these characters are! Often times fanon has NOTHING to do with the source material, and as of late it seems Submas is getting a ton of works that just throw canon plot points and canon characterization out the window all for the sake of making Submas as miserable and/or unhinged as possible. All too often, despite what they look like visually, these characters are no longer Ingo and Emmet.
There’s is plenty of room for interpretation with Submas, considering what we do know about them in canon is very little compared to many other characters, but there’s a difference between an interpretation or headcanon such as the Nimbasa Trio (Submas and Elesa have only interacted in one cutscene in PokeMas so far), and something like deciding Emmet is intentionally mean and will physically/emotionally harm people if not kept in check by Ingo when in-game he’s just blunt and competitive, but otherwise very supportive of others, including when defeated!
If all you want to do is make Submas as angsty and edgy ooc as possible, you might want to consider creating an OC instead.

TW Gender stuff:
Lately i'm coming around to the realization that i'm probably gonna transition at middle age or at the very least change my gender presentation because while im not sure of what i am now, at the tender yet decrepit age of 32, i *do* know i dont see myself becoming an old man at all but i absolutely do see myself as an old woman
You know that tweet that says 'i think im transgender but idrgaf about all that rn'?
Im at that zone atm
Pronoun updates are still being deliberated so no official statement yet but its looking like a 'They' at least for the near future

i think one thing that anti-theists like.. do wrong (?) is treat religions like they're monoliths, which is impossible. you might find that one denomination is larger than another, but there will pretty much always be other denominations, and varying interpretations within each denomination.
no religion is a monolith, and no religion ever will be one. that's because religion is a personal experience to the individual, who will have their own thoughts and feelings about their faith. that is how people are in regards to everything, because humans aren't a monolith of a species.
i understand it might be confusing, or even frustrating when a religion has many denominations and interpretations, but that doesn't work super well as a reason for wanting to rid of religion. in fact, just yesterday i was told by an anti-theist that 'ideally' the belief of magic would be rid of and traditional religion wouldn't change. i know for a fact that other anti-theists would disagree with that and present their own ideal outcome of anti-theism, because i often browse anti-theism tags to get an understanding of anti-theist beliefs (it's good practice to read up on some opposing opinions to get some standing ground! my dad taught me that.)
it is perfectly okay to be critical of religion, i myself am critical of some religious ideas from varying religions! but when you don't fully understand the religion you're criticizing, and you're getting your information from biased sources, or only reading about limited ideas then you don't have the information to accurately criticize any religion. the idea that all religions are strict monoliths is entirely false, and if someone believes that then their criticism isn't totally credible, especially when they can't acknowledge the good of religion.
in the end, individual religions can not be treated as if they are massive groups of people who all share the same ideas and the same beliefs, harmful or not. because that's literally just not true. if you want to improve religion then actually go forth and try to understand it and listen to different people discuss their religion and it's flaws, trying to get rid of religion will only hurt people. (and i very strongly believe that getting rid of religion will in turn hurt spiritually, and by extension culture.)
