"The SST: Here it comes, ready or not.
Traditionally new transport aircraft have been adapted from military versions for civilian use. But with the US/SST, a switch may give the USAF an Advanced Manned Strategic Aircraft (AMSA) based on a civilian expenditure of billions in research and development funds. Here, Air Force & Space Digest artist Gordon Phillips shows how military SST would look during midair re-fueling operation.

C-5 Galaxy – The Big Daddy
The C-5 Galaxy is one of the most impressive aircraft ever created. It is a massive cargo plane that was first introduced in 1970 and is still in use today. It is used by both the US Air Force and US Navy, but it is best known for its military use. The C-5 Galaxy is an incredibly powerful aircraft. It can transport more than 130 tons of cargo, allowing it to transport tanks, helicopters, and other large equipment. Its engines are powerful enough to lift off with a maximum takeoff weight of 840,000 lbs, making it one of the largest and heaviest aircraft in the world.
