There was a time I would smite you all for what was done to Storm. But today, I have saved you from your own, for an old friend has challenged me to remember this view of Earth. How vast it is versus how small we make it. Charles Xavier entrusted me with his dream, and it does not ask you to love or embrace my kind as your own but merely to accept that this is a shared world with a common future, and that my kind, like yours, have the right to live in it.

SFW!Cable/GN!reader - Pt 2.
@gildedjerk YOU DID THIS TO ME.
I was supposed to finish my homework an hour ago but I wrote this instead. I literally haven't written a part 2 to anything this quickly ever. what is happening to me
Read pt 1 here :)
TWS: Angst with happy ending. Falling buildings, minor depictions of death, timeliness bullshit, big man cries and we smooch him. Possibly part 3 if the mood takes me
For the first time in a long while, Nathan is panicking. Buildings in the city are crumbling around him, sentinels closing in around every street corner- and he can't find you. He calls out your name, and you don't respond. He reaches for you, searching for your mind with the telepathic ability he can spare- and he can't feel you.
He can't feel you.
For the first time, he's more struck with the absence of your running mind than he had ever been annoyed by it.
He should have gone with you. He never should have let you split away from him. The two of you were a duo. No matter how much grief you gave him when you first started to tag along, he couldn’t imagine life without you. He refused to. Cable narrowly dodges a falling fire escape, and he knows he’s running out of time. He calls for you, again, and again- and there’s no response. He can’t let this happen. He won’t.
Cable bolts down the street as the smoke billows and the world crumbles. The device on his wrist beeps, and his blood runs cold when he realizes it’s a warning. Still- he perseveres. He follows the psychic echo you left behind, rounding every corner he can, staying on your scent like a bloodhound. He wouldn’t leave without you. Not again.
He’s getting closer, he can feel it- but his fear only grows, knowing that you were so close, and yet he can’t feel you. He can’t find that beautiful mind of yours. He can’t find your memories. Your nervousness. Your running mind. He can’t feel that love he was so afraid of anymore- and he is so scared for an entirely different reason than before.
He follows your trail through a warehouse, weaving in-between the machinery as he hears the distinct sound of a sentinel, but he’s horrified when he realizes it’s not coming towards him. Towards you. It’s walking away. Cable exits the warehouse, and on the other side, he finds… nothing.
Cable finds rubble. The building in front of him is rubble. He hears the shrieking of metal as the building on his left begins to fall, but he’s preoccupied. A beeping is heard, but it doesn’t come from him. It sounds again and again. Never stopping.
Cable sees the blue light from underneath the rubble, and he finds a device identical to his own. It’s still attached to your arm, but you are not there. Your mind is not there.
The building to his left finally gives in to the weight and falls.
A stabbing influx of… something, strikes Cable’s forehead, and he wakes up in a cold sweat, lying on the cot in the safehouse. His body is disoriented, his mind chilled with something more than just horror. Cable realizes that it wasn’t a dream, It was a vision. It was the future. A future.
It was real. It felt so real. He’s not entirely sure it hadn’t happened. Cable sits up frantically, looking towards your cot to find you. But you’re not there. His mind is still addled by the influx of information, powers mixed and scatterbrained, unable to find and feel. The one thing it still seems able to do is keep the virus at bay. He’s stumbling as he stands. Cable slams the bedroom door open, that cold horror all he can think of as his mind cannot find you in its haze.
He moves through the house like a storm cloud, opening every door, searching for you in the same meticulous manner he uses to search the house for threats.
You find him before he finds you. Having heard the commotion, you exited the kitchen, stepping into the hallway halfway wondering if there had been a breach in the security.
“Nate?” The footsteps stop abruptly when you call out for him, only to pick up the pace a second later. Cable looks absolutely furious when he exits a spare room, storming over to you in a manner that almost makes you afraid he’s going to yell at you.
But he doesn't. The moment Nathan reaches you, he takes hold of your face, and he kisses you like he’d never get the chance to kiss you again. It’s desperate, almost forceful- but after a moment of confusion, you kiss him back. His hold is all-consuming, presenting his love and care for you out of urgency, and necessity. Nathan only pulls away when his thoughts pull back together. He looks at you in shock, like he himself hadn’t expected the kiss to happen. He looks worried. Scared. You pull him down by his collar to kiss him again- if only to wipe those emotions clean from his face. Tears are running down his face, but he can’t bring himself to pull away from you like he had so many times before.
He kisses you again, and again, hoisting you up into his arms when his back starts to hurt from bending down to reach your height. Nathan sets you on the kitchen counter, finally pulling away from you- and he begins to sob.
However afraid he was to fully experience the love you had for him- the fear of losing you without showing you his love had triumphed it all. You hold him close as he sobs into your shirt, wrapping him in your love. You don’t know what started this. What set him on this path when yesterday was spent the same as any other day for the two of you- dancing around each other. Leaving the ties blurry. Leaving your love unclear, choosing not to tread through the rapid waters just yet. -but what did that matter anyway, when he had kissed you with such intense emotion? You’re concerned for him. You’re worried for him. You love him. You love him. You love him. Nathan wants to bury his mind so deep within your thoughts, like a warm blanket that kept all of his self-made fears of intimacy at bay. That made them disappear.
Nathan doesn’t want to show you what he had seen. What someone had made him see. He doesn’t want you to experience the fear, the pain. Despite all of his confusion, his pain, what he did know was that he was never going to let that happen. He didn’t care what timeline he had to tear apart, what plan for the future he had to ruin. He had lost so much in life, but he wasn’t going to lose you. Not again. Not ever.

@themckaytriarchy - Out of Touch & Out of Time
To say that life had changed drastically for the feline would be an understatement. Over the last year, Lex had joined multiple communities, and driven out of them just as quickly. But the home she’d found amongst Professor Xavier’s “Gifted Children” seemed the most stable. A hilarious thought in reality when in the last 20 minutes alone she’d dealt with being used as a projectile by a man with a metal skeleton in the Danger Room, been shouted by another who she affectionately referred to as “Velma Dinkley” due to his reliance on his ruby specs, and suffered a rather severe spook from Gambit after a beignet had exploded in her hand.
She stood at the sink, trying to scrub the hot crumbs, honey and powdered sugar out of her fur. The brunette was almost angry she’d not changed back, though it was a mildly equal relief that they treat had exploded on fur rather than skin. The static burn more of a tingle in this form.
“Stupid pretty face idiot. I ought to leave fur in his trenchcoat.” The grumbling tone wasn’t to anyone in particular, the others weren’t focusing on her, and for that she was grateful. A feline with an empty stomach was not the nicest to deal with. Eventually after a moment, Lex gave up on trying to clean her fur and started digging through her cupboard for a snack, settling on a box of red vines and a seat on the counter. Her tail wrapped around her waist, paws swinging softly.

No cause I hate it when Nightcrawler is characterized as a ‘uwu shy boi🥺🙈’ (ahem, X-Men Apocalypse) cause MY MAN F U C K S. Like X-Men 97’ will probably be his most in-character tv version cause HE FINALLY GETS HIS SWORDS. FINALLY. BUT MY MAN IS FLIRTY AND CONFIDENT AND SLAYS SO HARD. He’s constantly flirting with and wooing the ladies (especially Storm) and has so much homo-erotic tension with Wolverine, like he an Morph would definitely get along cause they actually have very similar personalities. Kurt does tend to be more serious in general, but he’s still a playful flirt and makes dorky quips to villains while he fights
Like yeah teenage him was probably more shy but every time I see an adult version of him that’s still the uwu shy boi, I want to claw my eyes out cause NO-

Sentinels' Siege
A/N: Yeah, it has definitely been a minute. Saw the new X-Men 97 show and got inspired. Please enjoy this!
pairing: Magneto (Erik) x GN!Reader
warnings: Character death
w/c: 784
Prompt: The reader here has forcefield powers. The sentinel is attaching Genosha and the reader saves Erik at the expense of their own life.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the heart of Genosha, amidst the ruins of a once-thriving nation, the sentinel's ominous presence cast a shadow over the land. Its metallic form, a symbol of oppression and fear, loomed tall against the crimson sky, its mechanical eyes scanning the desolate landscape with ruthless efficiency. But amidst the chaos and fear, you stood as a beacon of hope, your powers of forcefield manipulation shielding not only Magneto but also civilians of Genosha from the sentinel's relentless assault.
Two spheres of energy shimmered in the air, each pulsating with the strength of your will. One enveloped Magneto, the other surrounded you and the civilians seeking refuge within your protective embrace. It was a delicate balance, maintaining both shields amidst the onslaught of the sentinel's attacks, but you refused to falter, driven by the unwavering resolve to protect those you loved at any cost.
As the sentinel unleashed its barrage of energy blasts, your forcefields flickered and crackled with energy, absorbing the brunt of the attacks. Beside you, Magneto watched in awe and gratitude, his heart swelling with pride at the sight of your unwavering determination. But beneath the surface, there was a surge of panic within him as he witnessed your struggle to maintain both shields.
He reached out to you, his voice a plea amidst the chaos. "Y/N, my love, you mustn't—"
But his words were lost in the cacophony of battle as your forcefields strained to their limits. With each passing moment, the pressure mounted, threatening to break through your defenses and claim you all.
Flashbacks of your time together flooded your mind, each memory a bittersweet reminder of the bond you shared. You remembered the first time he had entrusted you with his secrets, the way his eyes softened as he spoke of a future where mutants could live without fear. You remembered the stolen moments of tenderness, the quiet nights spent gazing at the stars, finding solace in each other's company amidst the turmoil of their world.
But amidst the memories, there was the harsh reality of the present—the sentinel's relentless assault threatening to overwhelm your defenses. Your forcefields flickered and waned under the strain, cracks forming along their surfaces as they struggled to hold back the tide of destruction. Yet still, you refused to yield, your determination unyielding even in the face of insurmountable odds.
Magneto watched in silent anguish as you stood as the bulwark against the storm, his heart heavy with the weight of your sacrifice. He reached out, his hands grasping at empty air as you fell, the light fading from your eyes even as his world plunged into darkness.
In that final moment, as the sentinel loomed over Genosha victorious, Magneto could only cling to the memories of the love you shared—a love that had been both his greatest strength and his deepest sorrow. But though you were gone, your spirit would forever be etched in his heart, a guiding light in the darkness that now enveloped him.
And as he gazed upon the devastated landscape of Genosha, a vow ignited within him—a vow to carry on the fight in your honor, to ensure that your sacrifice would not be in vain. For in giving your life to protect others, you had shown him the true meaning of heroism—a selflessness that transcended even death itself.
But amidst the chaos and despair, there was one final moment of connection—a silent exchange of love that echoed across the battlefield. As the sentinel's onslaught reached its crescendo, engulfing you in a blinding blaze of light, you locked eyes with Magneto one last time.
In that fleeting moment, time seemed to stand still, the world around them fading into insignificance as you mouthed the words that echoed the depths of your soul, "I love you."
Though no sound escaped your lips, the sentiment rang loud and clear in the silence of the battlefield. It was a declaration of devotion, a testament to the bond that had transcended the trials and tribulations they had faced together.
Magneto's heart clenched with a mixture of grief and gratitude as he returned your gaze, his own eyes brimming with unshed tears. And as the light consumed you, engulfing you in its brilliant embrace, he could only watch in silent agony as your form disappeared amidst the chaos.
But though your physical presence had been extinguished, your love would forever burn bright within his heart, a beacon of hope in the darkness that now enveloped him. And as he stood amidst the ruins of Genosha, a solitary figure against the backdrop of devastation, he vowed to carry on your legacy—a legacy of love, sacrifice, and unwavering strength in the face of adversity.

👉 3 Ships You Like: Rogue/Gambit from X-Men, Sahed/Julia from Marionetta, and Damien/Robin from Forever After (though that's only by a smidge over Tank/Robin and Tank/Robin/Damien).
👉 First Ship Ever: Rogue/Gambit, without doubt. I've shipped them for 32 years--since I was 11 yo! They're still my OTP of all OTPs, and set my 'type' for all my fave OTPs to come.
👉 Last Song You Heard: Rain Paris' rock version of American Horror Show
👉 Favourite Childhood Book: Like, children's books? Pokey The Puppy and She-Ra. Chaptered books? Nancy Drew series, The Saddle Club series, the Thoroughbred series, The Black Stallion and The Island Stallion series...ummm...Fear Street books, Christopher Pike books, Patricia C Wren's Enchanted Forest Chronicles... and so, so, so many more. I was a book-eater from 2nd grade on.
👉Currently Reading: Nothing at the moment. All my Webtoons are on hiatus, and I'm too scattered to get tied down in a fic or a book at the moment.
👉Currently Watching: X-Men '97. Fantastic show, 10/10 would recommend!!

👉Currently Craving: Nothing. I'm very content at the moment. I'm full, hydrated, relaxing into the evening, and blessedly left alone. Life is good:)

Beast Anon back again xP
I apologize for the late reply and I'm sorry to hear you were stressed. As always I would encourage you to take it easy where you can, friend :)
I'm doing well, thank you for asking, and to answer your question, the reason I like those kinds of AUs and relationships isn't anything that complicated, I just...find them really wholesome ^^
With them, you're always guaranteed a certain level of fluff and slice-of-life goodness that's easy to imagine and can help get you through your day when you need that extra little bit of warmth in your day, ya'know? :D
As for why I prefer it with some X-Men characters, well, I have two reasons. Firstly, with the multiverse being an extremely canon thing in Marvel, especially X-Men in this case, it makes the idea of these relationships and stories a kind of canon in themselves, and it's always so fun to explore that ^^
To explain that a little more and get into the second reason, when you're dealing with the X-Men, some of the most exciting and complex Marvel characters of all time, you know these situations are going to be more than just a daily routine, there's always going to be some twist/emotional adventure to explore along the way, and it adds a whole new depth to the situation. True, you could argue that to be the case with just about any fictional character but...c'mon, it's the X-Men! xD
As for your soon-to-be recent viewing of the first two episodes of X-Men '97, I promise you a real treat, but, I am obligated to not spoil a thing ^^
Except this: OMG HANK FINALLY SAID THE THING!!! :DDDD
No worries, Beast Anon! I am glad to hear from you again, and there is no set time or need to respond immediately. What happens happens. And I finally started watching the first episode of X-Men 97 and so far, my thoughts are as follows:
• Roberto you sweet, poor child... You don't know the half of it-
• Who the f*ck is hiding Sentinel parts?! They're fr*cking HUGE, how does someone just move that around?! Someone knows something, how can you not when a single Sentinel arm is bigger than a car-!
• Go Morph! Mighty Morph-ling Power Ranger! (Well, X-Man)
• Wolverine, dude, please get over the love triangle; you and Scott were friends once, can you two get some team or friend therapy and try to talk about it for once?
• Where is the official team therapist? Nor the therapist friend, the actual certified therapist-
• Let the kids have fun!
• Roberto, they viewer-insert/new guy who is how everyone would react to the crazy shenanigans of the X-Men and Marvel
• Mr. Xavier, I am starting to believe you and Magneto really WERE more than friends, or were some form of QPR at the least
• And Magento is back! And more... oddly looking well for someone who is in their... 70s, I think? Wow. He's doing good (if you aren't counting losing his best bud and possible boyfriend, not to mention inheriting aforementioned friend's family, school, and property)
Aaaaand that is about how far I've gotten. I need to play a little catch-up😅😊
And now I really want to see Beast and Carla get together/have a secret date, watch Wolverine and Morph or Wolverine and Storm become a couple, get more Sabretooth and the Brotherhood in this show (please please please let them be brothers) (sorry fandom members who ship them, I view them platoncially!), hopefully they introduce Laura/X-23 at some point, someone let Rogue and Gambit get together, we know that is likely endgame, and yes yes yes Roberto can be Jubilee's friend (and maybe sibling?) (Whatcha wanna bet she's wanted one since the first year?)
And woo! Yes, platonic yandere genre! I get the points you've made: Platonic yandere could be canon in some way, and it's Marvel, so canon is a bag of 40+ flavor jellybeans and a 45+ flavor milkshake stand... Also, yes, X-Men add a certain flair to the platonic yandere trope. Surprise, super-poweree genetically enhanced people, and this random teen/young adult/child who they somehow procured. Que a normal Tuesday of crazy villains, more insane humans, some weird relationship issues and the break-up then make-up, and (gasp) surprise! You have been blessed with this new character to love! They're called Reader, they can be sweet at times, they are willing to use a metal bat as a weapon, and oh, and they are as addictive to y'all as catnip is to cats!
May I ask your top three favorite X-Men characters? Top three favorite heroes, and favorite villain, so four favorite characters? Do you enjoy how I write them (if I have written for them) as platonic yanderes? Do you want an older teen/adult cartoon or anime where the X-Men are platonic yandere over someone? I myself do, and I would have so manh ideas on it! Are there any duo platonic yanderes you like, where two team up over Reader or are both interested in the same one? (Ex. Rogue and Gambit, Kurt and Rogue, Wolverine and Sabretooth, etc.)
I hope you have a good night/day! I will hopefully get to the second episode of X-Men 97 tomorrow, and once the first season is finished for the series, I can add X-Men 97 to the X-Men media I will write for😊 (And if you want to discuss any if this more, I am all ears!)

PMs ARE like asks to me, so i will be gracious and count it as one @chuckroughly (💕💕💕💕💕)
C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.
Already answered BUT the time to be a hater in front of your own choir never stops! This time?
Joplittle. I became persona non grata over disliking this ship amongst the Terror fandom on Twitter, and now it's my goal to become so as well on Tumblr.
I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
Tumblr turned me off the Star Wars fandom as a whole besides my mutuals on Twitter big time, because Oh My God, that particular fandom on here is downright insufferable and infested with antis. it's surprisingly cool on Twitter if you know your niche but here? Hellfire and brimstone. Hate to interact </3
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
After thinking really hard on what fandom I should choose to talk about, I picked Succession bc we're both familiar with that one, so:
more Roycest. no brainer.
more Jess Jordan love!!! She's my favourite supporting character who's an actual supporting character, and yes, I know she's pretty well-liked but [makes jazz hands] why not more!
more crossovers with other fandoms! i'm admittedly not at all a fan of crossovers, but the Roys and Company just lend themselves so well to it!
Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.
Does Marvel count? Because I used to be such a Marvelhead in my early 20s - read the comics, watched the movies, was hyped as FUCK for everything, but it became all so terribly boring after a while, the fandom was unbearable, everything was taken over by the MCU, and so on and on. I still watch stuff (love X-Men 97!) and am interested in some characters and stuff, but I don't think I'll ever get back to it.
