the party being faced, suddenly, with older (~19/20 y/o) versions of mike and will who have just stumbled out of a fucking gate that opened in the middle of the steve's living room, that promptly sewed itself back up again. older will, who's leaning heavily into his mike's side, has a bloody nose and collapses as soon as the gate's shut.

everyone's freaking out, obviously. older mike drops to his knees as will faints and is frantically holding him close and just whispering "you're okay, you're okay." no one can tell if he's speaking to himself or to will.

turns out, these two are from a fucking parallel world (dustin nearly has a breakdown) and will has powers that he used to open a gate to get him and mike out of their upside down. though he's accidentally, somehow, opened a gate to the wrong damn world. once he wakes up, he and his mike have the audacity to fucking laugh about it, making jokes about his aim or whatever.

the most shocking part, weirdly enough, is how casually affectionate they are. mike has an arm around will's waist as he talks, will is leant into his side, etc. OG mike and will are resolutely NOT looking at each other.

it's only when older mike, seemingly without thinking, presses a kiss to his will's lips that younger mike finally breaks.

"why are you kissing will?!" he demands, face red. younger will has grabbed a pillow and put it over his face, seemingly trying to suffocate himself. el is petting his hair while trying not to laugh. their older counterparts stare at them, look at each other, and then sigh.

"shit, love." older mike mutters. "seems you've sent us to a world where i'm still emotionally constipated." then he reaches across the gap and pats the other mike's knee. "you'll figure it out, and when you do, it all goes up from there!" older will is just cackling the whole time.

I need someone to write a byler AU where Mike and Will are watching a series similar to ST and Mike relates to the character representing Mike and that’s why he ships byler, and Will relates to the character representing Will and he also hopes byler is endgame but he doesn’t allow himself to have hope so he thinks milkvan is endgame.

And then Mike spends a lot of time with Will trying to convince him that byler is endgame and they end up confessing their feelings for each other and then get together.

But then in the show they’re watching, that byler doesn’t end up together (because of character deaths or milkvan or whatever bad choices). Mike and Will are both disappointed after the finale and then Mike goes: ”I guess I was wrong.” And then Will smiles at him and says: ”I wouldn’t be so sure.” (Meaning that they were an endgame anyway, even if their characters in the show weren’t.)

Paladin Mike Wheeler runs away from his anti-magic kingdom with his little sister Holly when she displays signs of having magic. They escape, but Mike gets injured while doing so. They reach the edge of the neighboring kingdom, famous for its magic-friendly stance (ruled by the Hopper-Byers family) before Mike collapses. Holly, terrified, unintentionally releases a burst of magic, which draws the attention of Will who's nearby. He's the one the heals Mike before taking both him and Holly back to the palace.

-Once everything is settled, Mike and Holly stay at the palace.

-Will and EL both help mentor Holly but she has a soft spot for Will.

-Mike is allowed into the Royal Guard and is assigned as Will's personal guard

-Context: Will visited Mike in the hospital, and generally kept an eye on the Wheelers. Joyce saw how attached he got and decided to kill two birds with one stone (Joyce is the original Byler shipper, fight me on this)

mike is like a feral little dog. not exclusively, but especially with will. even before they get together, he's always glowering just over his shoulder at anyone and everyone he talks to. exuding an energy of 'say one bad thing about him i DARE you.'

he gets so much worse when they do get together. like, he's awful. no one would be shocked if he wrapped himself around will one day and started snarling at anyone who got too close. the boy is Whipped.

will, meanwhile, just laughs it off and ruffles his hair. presses a kiss to his cheek. holds his hand. after something like that mike tends to lighten up and just gaze at will with the biggest, shiniest heart eyes ever for the next few hours.

ANOTHER BYLER FIC IDEA!!

(I’m really not stopping with these anytime soon-)

Will has been hanging out with the girls more often. They normally do manicures/spa days, makeup, sleepovers and talk about cute boys whenever they hang out without the party (only them two know he’s gay as well). Mike notices this, and gets jealous of Will spending more time with the girls than with him and the boys (though Mike just really wants Will to pay attention to him).

Mike having enough of this, decides to do something about it. He asks if Will could come over for a sleepover with ‘him and the boys’ since they haven’t hung out in a while, to which Will accepts (because why not? It’s just Mike and the og party after all). He assumes the rest of the initial party know, sending them off with a ‘see you later’ before going back home and getting ready.

When Will arrives, greeting both of Mike’s parents and Holly on the way in, he notices that he’s the first to arrive. Mike welcomes him in, bringing him downstairs, with a big grin plastered on his face. He sits Will on the couch and asks which movie they should watch first. Will, confused, asks “shouldn’t we wait for the others first?”

Mike purses his lips at this, saying the others cancelled last minute (which is a blatant lie, he did even ask the others to come). Mike then clear his throat continues by saying, it’s been ages since they hung out together, just the two of them and says it might be a nice once in a while (the last part he sys with a softened and shy-like voice), and Will just studies, like actually full on studies him.

Mike, not used to this attention, (since Will hasn’t hung out and has been distracting himself by talking to others), just crumbles. He doesn’t know what to do or what to say, and he’s just getting more flustered by the second, his throat become dry and clogged. Then at last, Will breaks the silence, but sadly that does not quell Mike’s nerves, as he says, “you never ask Dustin and Lucas to hang out, did you?”, and boy, if Mike wasn’t already anxious before, he’s now having a full blown war in his head.

He tries to deny it, but the only words that come out of his mouth are; “no, uh, I swear-,” and a series of jumbled nonsense. Then Will laughs, and by God does Mike’s heart nearly stop, because he swears he hears the most absurd thing fall from his best friend’s lips, “how cute.” This sends Mike into a crisis, because one, he’s not gay, (at least he doesn’t know that yet), and two, he strangely likes being called cute.

Then cue Mike’s self discovery of being gay and being Will’s babygirl. (Babygirlgate is best gate, change my mind.)

This Byler prompt is anyone’s for the taking. I may just make a Byler prompt account, just so I don’t mix my original content with the beautiful creation that is Byler.

Although they are better disguises, Mike and Will should know who each other is behind the mask, but nah! They just choose to be blind as fuck.

Also, I don’t really like Miraculous Ladybug, but I just thought this would be interesting, especially with Hawkmoth as Vecna as well, (not the one of the main protagonists’ father). Also, El as the miraculous keeper?? Thoughts?

Also, in this one, Will is sassy and (sadly for him) the chic magnet, despite not being famous like Adrien. He acts like a mix between Cat Noir and Ladybug - always determined to save the day, but with a lot of sass, like Spiderman, puns like Cat Noir. He is also a huge flirt towards his partner in saving the world, because the Paladin started it, and he’s not about to let the opportunity go to waste.

Ou of the both of them too, I believe that Will will be the first to noticed that his partner is actually Mike, which would be even funnier.

I also believe that Will as a superhero would flirt with Mike, since Mike would probably start obsessing over the hero, and Max probably made a joke that Mike wants the superhero.

This whole thing would be hilarious to read, not gonna lie.

You all can figure out the powers for yourself. As long as you make it in tune with their DnD hero forms, I’m not going to complain. O>O
