Miraculous Ladybug Byler!AU, except Mike and Will are in love with wach other as they are, but Mike projects that all onto Superhero Will instead, because of his internalised homophobia, and unknowingly flirts with the love of his life.
Also, Cat Noir Mike and Ladybug Will is instead their DnD characters. So, Cleric Will and Paladin Mike. And Just like the original Ladybug and Cat Noir, they are also blind as fuck. Although they are better disguises, Mike and Will should know who each other is behind the mask, but nah! They just choose to be blind as fuck.
Also, I don’t really like Miraculous Ladybug, but I just thought this would be interesting, especially with Hawkmoth as Vecna as well, (not the one of the main protagonists’ father). Also, El as the miraculous keeper?? Thoughts?
She may be kind of young, but it would be so cool, especially if she finds her found family that way! 🥺
She was all alone, before chaos rained upon Hawkins, and she found miraculous holders.
Also, in this one, Will is sassy and (sadly for him) the chic magnet, despite not being famous like Adrien. He acts like a mix between Cat Noir and Ladybug - always determined to save the day, but with a lot of sass, like Spiderman, puns like Cat Noir. He is also a huge flirt towards his partner in saving the world, because the Paladin started it, and he’s not about to let the opportunity go to waste.
Ou of the both of them too, I believe that Will will be the first to noticed that his partner is actually Mike, which would be even funnier.
I also believe that Will as a superhero would flirt with Mike, since Mike would probably start obsessing over the hero, and Max probably made a joke that Mike wants the superhero.
This whole thing would be hilarious to read, not gonna lie.
You all can figure out the powers for yourself. As long as you make it in tune with their DnD hero forms, I’m not going to complain. O>O
[Someone better write this, or I’m suing no one in particular… It’s the thought that counts. Stay tuned for more!]

Outside, there is a storm calling his name. He knows it, but also doesn’t know why. In the mist of the black fog, entering his very being, Will finds himself to awake in a sudden cold. It wasn’t his first time either, but what is a first is that his memories stay there, persistent. Instead of forgetting, he is remembering. Remembering a past that he never thought was, remembering himself as the designer of the upside - remembering himself as 012.
Will Byers finds he is the designer of the Upside Down through a monster he used to fear. The Mind Flayer, instead taking his memories, is returning them. But why? After finding more and more about his past, he tries to go to the Upside Down in order test his new found - remembered? - abilities. The only problem? The Party is suspicious of his dtrange behaviour around them, and won’t let him out of his sight, especially Mike.
—
Basically twelvegate and Will being a God of the Upside Down. I don’t believe for one second that Vecna created the replica of Hawkins or the Demogorgons/Demo-dogs. Vecna may have created Mind Flayer, but that was only due to his interest with spiders, he has no creativity besides that, or the imagination Will does.
It’s also a theory of mine that Will is the main designer the Upside Down and can control the things he creates. Why else would Henry’s Mind Flayer creation go after Will otherwise? It’s not like he couldn’t use the Mind Flayer to control the demogorons/demodogs before, unless he couldn’t. Again, mini theory, with not much evidence, so I wouldn’t bet on it, but it is an interesting idea.
The Mind Flayer in this story, I would believe to be Will’s creation instead, since Henry’s is still probably in Russia, and Will has drawn it as well. It’s purpose is also to help Will remember, not forget.
Anyways, do have fun with this prompt. I’ll be stalking AO3 for it, though I only read Byler. QwQ
What can I say? I have an obsession.
[I told you to stay tuned! More coming soon.]

Byler Cinderella!AU, except Mike wants nothing to do with the ball, so he purposefully gets in trouble to stay home, (his parents also punish him by telling him to do the chores), and Will is the Prince who (temporarily) runs away from his own ball, not wanting to “marry a nice woman and settle down”, as Hopper put it. (No one in his family knows he’s gay… yet)
Will successfully escapes from the Kingdom, making sure to leave behind no trace of where he was going. And why should he? He’ll just be back later anyways. Now, Will has never really been in the eye of the public, not being as extroverted as his adopted sister Jane, (they called each twins though), and not having to be out there like his reluctant older brother.
He sits there for a while, before the other wakes up, and then begins the interrogation, starting with, “Are you hurt anywhere?” Will is at first flabbergasted. He doesn’t know where he is, where wouldn’t he be? He shifts uncomfortably, before shaking his head. “Are you mute?”, comes the next question, and Will just gawks. After a few more weird questions, Mike finally asks the other for his name, and what he was doing passed out in front of his home. “My name is Will, and as for your other question,” he makes up an excuse for it, not wanting to know he’s a prince. After all, it might be a freeing feeling. They actually hit it off after that, and although Will does offer to help with the chores, he’s completely useless in that area - all off the servants normally do all the work, the only thing he really excels at is painting and drawing. So Mike just eventually tells the other (after many mistakes), to sit down and he’ll take care of it himself.
They get to know each other a bit more, and they find out each other’s hobbies, and interests, and dislikes. Mike tells him about his in royalty, Wills says they are not bad, “pushy sometimes, but not bad.” Mike just shrugs at the comment and moves onto something else. “Hey. Do you think you can show me one of your paintings sometime?” Will nods ecstatically. He was glad to have recognition for his hobbies and not his status for once. Poor Buff Byers. :(
Will then looks at the grandfather clock, it was way past midnight - the ball has ended. He turns back to Mike and smiles. “Well, I better go. My family will be worried, and they are a bit overprotective of me.” Mike snorts, “Why did you sneak out if you knew your family would be worried?” Will’s smile widens. “I already told you, I wanted some space from home.” Then, after a beat, he says, “hey, do you think I come over tomorrow?” And thus becomes the start of a beautiful romance.
Also, Jancy happens at the ball because I say so, and they are so adorable together, just like Lumax, Rockie/Vibin and Duzie. TwT
Plus, another plot device! :0
It’s not like Will and Mike could get publicly married anyways, but Mike would definitely be freaking out about it for no reason. (Mike also checks out Will’s muscles on the second visit, lmao)
Another throw away prompt, I’m getting good with these spontaneous ideas.
Anyways, use this as you wish, and again, I’ll be stalking AO3, waiting! UwU

Byler Analysis
Okay so I've been procrastinating this for the longest time and suddenly I have motivation so I'm not letting it go to waste.
Season 1
Chapter Two: The Weirdo on Maple Street
(00:14) Mike is concerned, probably the most concerned out of all of them, but it isn't out of character for Mike to be the most concerned about something, he is "the heart" after all- this doesn't suggest that he likes her romantically in any way, in fact, he's more so concerned in the way that he's just trying to be a good person, he just wants to send El back " to Penhurst where ever she came from", in his words.
Note that she's also wearing yellow, it might not mean anything but we're sort of starting to see a pattern of Mike essentially using El as a replacement for Will
(01:13) this is one of many scenes where we see an open door for Mike, not a closed one.
Doors are used for Mike a lot in this series, whether it be a physical door, or even lyrics in songs, they are used for him a lot. It's to represent how he "hides" away.
In this scene though, the door isn't closed on him, and notice that El is the one to stop him from closing the door, and Mike is the one who suggests to keep it halfway open. It may be hinting at how El is the one who helps him, if that makes sense, or realize that he's gay.
Notice, in this scene, and a lot of other scenes, Mike talks to El like she's a child, which, I mean, she basically is, she doesn't even know how to form a full sentence, but that's not the point, Mike is used as a familial figure to El SO MUCH in this series, and almost no one talks about it, or people just brush over it.
But anyway, moving on, he talks to her as if he doesn't really care? El looks at him with awe, she has never seen anything like this before, this is a new experience, she just escaped the lab, I mean, yeah, she's gonna be amazed, but Mike just looks at her with a very awkward smile and a small nod, he turns around quickly too, he literally doesn't care.
This doesn't seem much like "love at first sight" to me lol.
(02:08) Reference to both Max and Eddie, they both wear Micheal Myers masks, I'm pretty sure, and in this scene El is compared to Micheal Myers, I'm not quite sure if this is intentional but it seems pretty important.
(02:18) Okay, this might be a reach, but I said in the first post that this is gonna be full of reaches, I'm just doing this so I can catch almost every hint and then see if it meant something, but anyway, in this scene Mike says:
"Who's crazy now?"
And Lucas responds with:
"How is that crazy?"
We know that "crazy" is used to refer to "love", and I know they're quite literally talking about Mike's mother in this scene lmao, but if we replace the word "crazy" with "love", we get:
"Who's in love now?"
"How is that love?"
It's almost as if they're hinting to us that Mike doesn't know what love is and what love isn't, almost as if he's...mhm...oblivious... (like some of you are for not knowing how blatantly and obviously queercoded Mike is starting from season 1, in fact, I think he has more queercoding than Mike and Will, two canonically queer characters, lmao)
And remember, the way Mike describes a "friend", is "someone who you would do anything for", which is sweet and all, but Dustin and Lucas describe it very differently and very childishly, something you would expect, Mike describes it more in a way which you would think someone would say about a partner, and I'm pretty sure the friend they talked about in this scene was Will, again, coming back to the fact that Mike doesn't know the difference between platonic love and romantic love due to heteronormativity.
(02:30) Mike literally doesn't care that much about El, he says he just wants to find Will, his whole plan is that El "sneaks around the house, goes to the front door and rings my doorbell" so that his mom can send her back to where she came from, he, like any good person, wants El to be safe, but he also wants her gone, just like Lucas and Dustin.
He actually only wants El to stay when he finds out that she knows, and can help to find Will. I think this is where we can safely say that Mileven is not a "love at first sight" kind of trope, and it's very clear, from the way Finn Wolfhard acts down to the countless number of hints both from the stranger writers and the monologue itself, that Mike Queerler is a liar, and Eleven knows, because one, she was standing right there, if she heard her bullies conversations from a closet at rink 'o mania, then she definitely heard this, and also notice how in the monologue scene, when Mike says "I love you" to El, the vines around her neck tighten, and she looks hurt, because 1, it's a direct parallel to Doctor Brenner, making El feel like a monster, and 2, she knows that Mike is lying. But anyway, even though we can say that at this point, so early into the series, there is still so much more hints that Mike was lying, but we'll get to that when we get to that.
(02:52) LMAOOO MICHEAL, he's so silly I love him, bro literally does not care, he just wants to conversation to be over because it is SO awkward, he literally says "um, well, okay, night."
(08:26) HE'S VERY GOOD AT WHAT???? HIDING. I'm sorry if I shouted but I NEED TO. "Hide" is used so much in this series for Will, it's obviously physically hiding in the upside down, but it's a double meaning, he's "hiding" in the closet, but guess where else "hide" is used?
For Mike, when Karen tells Mike "I don't want to to feel like you have to hide anything from me", a direct parallel to Will and Jonathan's talk in season 4, and note, that Mike is literally hiding El in his closet in that scene, this seriously cannot be more obvious.
(09:40) Mike only tries to be nice to El, or to make conversation with her, so that she would listen to him.
(10:50) He's interested when El mentions "bad men", because this circles back to Will.
(16:41) Iconic, "should I stay or should I go?" plays, and we know the duffers use songs for reasons, it's not just Will's favorite song because it's his favorite song, let's think about "small-town boy" for Mike Wheeler for a second, it's about a queer boy leaving his home (Finn also said that he hopes Mike leaves Hawkins in season 5, which is a little bit weird and random, and remember, Finn also said that he knows the Duffers wrote a good ending for season 5, so he probably knows Mike's ending), and then "should I stay or should I go" is literally about staying or leaving lmao, and then "California Dreamin'" which plays for the California plotline, says, "you know the preacher likes the cold" *cough* "he likes the cold" and then it says "he knows I'm gonna stay" this HAS to have significance there's absolutely no way it doesn't.
(17:01) Cross image (A LOT of religious hints in this show, especially with Mike but we'll get to that lmao I've probably said this a million times) next Will when Jonathan talks to him about how he shouldn't like things because people tell you you have to, and then the same imagine is next to Mike in season 4 when they have the "Best friends" conversation before they almost die (lol)
(21:29) Mike, again, is starting to replace Will with El.
(22:10) El points to the picture of Will, this is when Mike realizes that El can help him, so he wants her to stay, only because he knows that she can save Will.
(22:46) OMG I DIDN'T KNOW THE SCENE WAS IN THIS EPISODE LMAOO, Mike quite literally hides El in his closet
(24:10) And then proceeds to have a conversation with his mother about how he doesn't feel like he has to hide anything from her, it's a direct parallel to Will and Jonathan's talk in season 4, and even a reference to earlier on in the episode when Jonathan said that Will was very good at "hiding".
(25:54) Reference to Mike's attempt later in the season, and how Mike literally could've died if it weren't for El, this possibly being why Mike sees El as a superhero (she's compared to a lot of, especially male, superheroes) even though El doesn't want to be his superhero, she just wants to be loved for who she is.
(31:54) Another reference to El looking like a boy, they even think that she might be Will.
(36:44) Again, Mike describes a "friend" as someone who you'd do anything for, which is much more sweet than what Lucas and Dustin said, what they said was something you'd expect from boys, it's childish, but Mike describes it as how you would describe a romantic relationship, he doesn't know the difference between friendship and love, again, because of heteronormativity.
(40:52) Again, only worried about Will and where he is.
