i understand things happen to library books but i would THINK. that'd be an item of priority. to replace the first book in a series. if something were to happen.

It dawns on me that the journey to the west took 5,040 days exactly, right, and while the book goes from tribulation to tribulation, there were still only 81 of those. And they were missing one when they got there. And some of the tribulations Tripitaka went through happened before the journey even started.

So, even being generous and saying that most of the tribulations that occurred during the actual journey could be said to have taken a few days to handle each, that's still only about 10% of the journey. A tribulation was anything that happened that put Tripitaka in danger or presented any sort of obstacle to him. Anything even remotely exciting would have fallen into that ~10%, and nothing else could have happened, because otherwise they wouldn't have gotten west one moderate inconvenience and/or major trauma short of the prize. (I mean, unless the thing that happened managed to not involve Tripitaka at all in any way, but that's very hard to do when you are all attached at the hip.)

i agree with you but here's the thing-

2) helmut marko is squarely to blame for this entire fucking NVD situation. both the hiring AND firing were his doing, it was his idea to go outside of the red bull system based on one (1) single result, and at that point you have to wonder if he has enough leverage in the team right now to be pushing for yet another outside hire, especially when you've got christian (and camp verstappen!) seemingly backing daniel, who's quite literally waiting in the wings

A question for my concert going friends: how do you feel about artists/venues doing priority entry? As in early entry, not disabled etc. Personally I really dislike it, as it pushes that idea that you can only be a "real fan" if you have enough money to do so. And "real/better" fans are always perceived as the ones at the front or with the best merch.

I'm probably just bitter as I don't have the money to be able to do priority entry lol, but I think it is just generally unfair, and I really wish more artists would stop doing it. Also if you're in the UK you probably know how the O2 venues work, and I just think thats ridiculous.

A month ago. I went to my boss and said "hey these images that were auto-migrated from the old website to the new one? None of them have been resized to match the required dimensions for the new site? I think were doing to have to manually resize them all?" And my boss went "UGH that sucks but we'll fix it AFTER the site goes live and we've done everything else"

Well. Guess what my boss noticed today and had a freakout about and decided I need to dedicate my time to fixing before the site goes live 😐

#granted she's not being INSANE it's not EVERY photo she wants done this week #but its enough of them idk if I'll be able to get them all done... #because i have to go manually hunt down the original files and then resize them. #'oh the images are just in the month by month files' #first off. sometimes you've only got the previously resized ones in there and the actual large original is in some other place #second. you organised your files by when you requested approval to publish said article that included the images #and in some cases. there were months between the initial approval request and the actual online publishing of the thing #im already gonna have to resize everything TWICE for the feature image and the thumbnail #because of course we went with a shitty system that doesn't let you upload one image and pick your crop inside the system #nooooooo we have to do it MANUALLY #come on guys. #ramblings of a bystander

adam saying that maybe michael doesn’t know god like he thought he did and getting nothing in return but michael pointing a finger at him and turning away is like. irrefutable proof that adam can literally just say whatever he wants and michael WILL let him get away with it. like lucifer? michael’s actual brother? michael slammed him in the cage for speaking out against god. it didn’t matter that he’d known lucifer from the moment lucifer was created. it didn’t even matter that michael was the one who raised him. but adam? all he gets is a bit of frustration. a singular moment where michael raises his voice at him and then nothing. and then they’re freed from the handcuffs and michael looks over adam’s wrists to make sure they’re okay and lets adam back out to talk to dean. and they’ve only known each other for years, not an eternity! not even a blip in michael’s lifespan and yet! yet!!!!

#in 5x13 when michael goes 'you know..my brother i practically raised him. i took care of him in a way that most people could never #understand and i still love him. but i am going to kill him because it is right and i have to.' #and in 5x22 when he tells lucifer that it's good to see him and asks him if he's ready #and then he goes 'you're a monster lucifer. and i have to kill you.' #and flat-out refuses to listen to any of lucifer's words about how maybe they didn't have to fight maybe they didn't have to kill each othe #and yet in 15x19 where he kills lucifer without a second thought. and it's like #michael acts like he loves him and on some level i think he does because that IS the brother he raised #but he just. refuses to listen to him. refuses to consider anything lucifer says even for a moment #the love is there but it's like an infected wound that no one's ever bothered to patch up. because there is no CARE there #and the difference is with adam there is so much care there. there really genuinely is #adam and michael got off to a rough start there are no questions about that. the manipulation and the torture speak for themselves. yknow? #but somewhere along the line that care started forming between them. and their wound was treated and patched up with a tenderness #that should've been impossible given where their bond formed at but it formed nonetheless. and it was kind and it was good and it was CARIN #and i think it does make a difference when you look at the difference in how michael reacts to lucifer talking about god and how he #reacts to adam talking about god. #with lucifer it's like. the wound is there. you love it because it's all you've ever known how to do but it's rotting. it's festering. #all it does is hurt and serve as a reminder of pain. #with adam it's like. the wound was there but it's left a scar. it's healed because of the two pairs of hands that tended to it together. #it doesn't hurt. it serves as a reminder of kindness. and patience. and care. #love as a violent force versus love as a healing factor. isn't that what it is? #kate rambles #we came to an agreement
