Time, Rhyme, Line, Mine
Guys, guys, guys! Guess what I found!!!
I found a poem! Holy fruit, do you know how long it’s been since I’ve written a poem! Fruiting ages and assignments from professors don’t count.
So, with that being said, imma throw this at ya’ll ^^
And yes it’s based upon BATIM no judging
___________________________________
Time
Rhyme
Line
Mine
The line that was mine the time that you rhyme.
But that time you took to rhyme from the line labeled ‘mine’.
So why was the rhyme in the line taken from the time it was mine?
...why, Joey?
Listen to me,
I’m not going to plea,
Because finally you are going to see.
That you are filled with greed,
You don’t care what others need.
You live in the past,
This isn’t going to last.
You take what isn’t yours.
Close every one of our doors!
The future is at stake!
You’ll drown in the lake!
Are you still not understanding?
...it’s hard to speak straight.
No one listens unless they are tricked.
By pictures, by words, or making you feel sick.
You don’t want to think you’re wasting your time.
So you don’t look for the truth, you look for a rhyme.
And you’ll only see the surface of every line.
To not understand the feelings and words said are mine.
They’re just names.
Bendy, Alice, Boris
Wally, Sammy, Thomas
Norman and Susie
Bertram and Lacey
Joey. Henry.
They’re placement holders, and that’s why he’ll never know!
That the drawings he makes!
He feels like here’s been a mistake!
For a man named Stein’s work to be taken.
Drew this is a monster of your own creation.
Did you enjoy the story?
There’s always a message hidden underneath.
That people draw with invisible ink.
Feel like we’re being used,
And you claim we’re a muse,
We don’t actually belong to Joey Drew’s.
But you’ll never know what we had to lose.
Because this is just one time.
Just a poem with plenty to rhyme.
Nothing but a single line.
And even as its creator I’m not allowed to claim it as mine.

" Leave! Me! Alone! " (for the prompt thing :3)
*Fully dusts off BATIM Monster AU due to it being the spooky month* You know, I don't think I've pinned down what type of monster Thomas was when I started this...
And I recently realized that I have a strong lack of vampires in this AU.
The GENT Mechanic wasn't a full-on monster hater. He had no interest in joining any monster-hunting group that sniffed him out, he often rolled his eyes at small-town preachers who looked down at them, and he mostly minded his own business when it came to the tricky relationship between humans and monsters.
But he also wasn't anywhere as enthusiastic about the studio as Joey and Allison were. He was a sensible man, he knew that monsters were dangerous and that it was stupid not to only trust them at an arm's length.
He could admit that he admired that his client could go as far as to start an entire animation empire just to ensure that his friend (and many others he had met along the way) would be in a place where they weren't seen as outcasts and wouldn't stop doing what they loved because of their circumstances, but he couldn't help but feel... wary of the majority of the studio's strange inhabitants.
Nobody would blame the human mechanic for avoiding the music department as often as he could, knowing the Music Director and how he viewed humans, it would be like blaming a mouse for avoiding a lion's den.
At the same time, he would get funny looks from others as he never went near the studio without a silver cross, an iron ring, a small bag of mixed herbs that was dubbed 'monster bane' due to it being a mix of various monster-repelling plants, and a bag of salt. Because of this, Thomas was not a popular person in the mostly-monster populated studio, but that didn't matter to him.
This wasn't his circus, it wasn't his monkeys, and once his contract ended, he'd probably never go there again. At least, that's what he would tell himself until the day wearing his cross started to burn himself.
--------
"It's a good thing that Allison found you in this state and threw your... wards away imminently." Dr. Hackenbush sighed as he continued to apply the numbing paste to his still twitching patient's neck. "Due to the secrecy surrounding vampire covens, their reluctance to talk about their various races' weaknesses as they're a monster hunter's favorite prey, and the many different types of vampires in the world, it's actually hard to determine what can and can't kill a recently turned vamp. Especially when one can't remember the circumstances of their change."
Tom was partly focusing on what the doctor was telling him, partly freaking himself out by trying and failing to remember how and why he had turned, and mostly keeping an eye out on the entrance to the infirmary as if he expected something to fly in and finish him off.
"Vampires in general might be notoriously hard to keep down for the count, but the process of the metamorphosis from human to vampire is extremely exhausting on the newly made fledgling." The doctor stated as he moved on to put more of the paste on Tom's other injured areas. "While this wouldn't be lethal to an older vamp, it's still extremely painful to them and considered to be torture among many of their races. In your current state and judging based off of the traits I've seen so far... ...I strongly suspect that the cross would've eventually burnt your head clean off your neck if you had not been found in time."
Thomas absentmindedly put his hand where his cross would normally be and gritted his teeth.
Nobody visited him yet, nobody aside from Allison even approached the door before the doctor shooed her out. He wasn't in the state to receive visitors yet, but he could already feel the parade of smug monsters gawking at him. He could already hear them laughing at the loss of his humanity, he could already picture several of them sticking their noses up at his misery declaring 'serves you right!' at him.
"...Could you open your mouth for me Mr. Conner?"
"Huh?" The mechanic snapped out of his day-nightmare and acknowledged the doctor's request. "Oh yeah, sure."
"Thank goodness, it seems that you've been brought in just at the cusp of changing..." While Tom didn't close his mouth on the doctor, he did look at him funny when he began to paint a different paste in his mouth, specifically, on his gums and teeth. The stuff made his mouth feel strongly like static in a matter of seconds. "Comment all you want, but you'd be thanking me if you knew exactly how much of a bitch it would hurt if you had to go through this without the strongest painkillers mankind could make."
"Well I ned mure af ha stuff if I turn inta a baht manstah?"
The mechanic half sarcastically asked through an extremely numb mouth as soon as the doctor was done putting the paste in there.
"No, unlike a werewolf who will transform based on the position of the moon, a vampire's ability to turn into a bat is normally rooted in the said vampire's willpower and or their mental and emotional state. It will not hurt unless you will it to. But turning into a bat and back again will use up a lot of energy and burn a ton of calories, so I don't recommend it as of right now. For similar reasons, I also wouldn't recommend swimming twenty miles and running a marathon back to back either."
The doctor did a once-over on his patient's treated injuries and checked his vitals before giving him his normal clothes back.
"Alright, it seems that everything's up to order..." The doctor proceeded to write down a list that he handed to Thomas. "Don't eat anything until after you can fully feel your mouth again, otherwise you might accidentally cut out your own tongue. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to either come to me about it or ask around the studio for either werewolf packs or vampire covens. The latter's rarer than the former but werewolves and vampires have been known to get along well due to the pair often engaging in a symbiotic relationship."
"I thawt tat Wahwoles an vamhires hated each other..?"
He was internally grateful that the staticky feeling of his mouth was subsiding just enough for him to be able to talk normally again.
"That's a common misconception that came from World War II I'm afraid; American soldiers who happen to be vampires hate Nazis who happen to be werewolves and vice versa."
Thomas frowned as he stopped to read the list, it was basically a bunch of common vampire dos and don'ts, mostly don'ts; avoid sunlight, religious symbols and texts, mirrors in public areas, etc. He ran his tongue against his top and bottom canine teeth and while his tongue still felt off from the medicine, he could tell that those teeth were longer and sharper.
He knew that with each passing second, he was becoming more and more like one of the studio's many monsters that he was wary of, and he felt gutted because of it.
"...Thanks for everything, doc. I... I'll go ask Joey for some time off to adjust to all of... this."
-------------
Instead of going to Joey, Tom had spent the rest of the day trying to carry on with his daily tasks and work as usual, fixing up the pipes, checking on the Ink machine, mostly just trying to bury the knowledge of his vampirism in work.
Thankfully he was unbothered by the studio's workers, so it mostly worked out fine for him. Until he got to his least favorite part of the studio to work in: The music department.
Part of him was tempted to just make Wally do this, but as a werewolf, Wally would sense that he wasn't wearing silver or wolf's bane anymore and would be curious as to why he wasn't wearing any. He didn't want to lie to him but he also didn't want the Janitor to find out about his ...condition, he wasn't ready for that yet. In fact, he didn't want anyone in the studio's wolf pack to find out about this. He had goosebumps on the outside and inside just thinking about how they'd react.
He knew that they wouldn't be smug about it like how he assumed other monsters would, even worse than that. They'd know that he didn't have a coven as he was only recently turned, so they'd probably welcome him into the pack with open arms, especially if he was one of those vampires that was able to turn into a wolf too. They'd freely and willingly accept them as one of their own, a monster.
He tried to shake those thoughts away and continue to work on pipes that had been bitten into by the godforsaken raven monster. He cursed about Sammy under his breath as he fixed them as usual. He could feel the music director's presence as he did so, but unlike how this normally went, he didn't sense any hostility or hunger coming from the looming shadow of the beast in human's clothing.
Thomas had his back turned away from the normally wrathful monster, he wasn't seeing what the man's expression was. He didn't know if the damned bird was proud of his lost humanity, looking at him like he was now worthy of being an underling of his, or if the musician simply pitied him for god knows why.
But the mere presence of the beast alone was driving him crazy.
"Leave! Me! ALONE!" The vampire mechanic spun around and half-shouted half-hissed at the confused looking music director. "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT ME, BUT I DON'T NEED YOU TO LOOM OVER MY WORK AND RUB IN WITH YOUR PRESENCE THAT I'M A FUCKING UNDEAD, BLOOD-SUCKING, FANGED FREAK!"
Thomas wasn't sure which reaction he was excepting from the beast, but he felt a mixture of goosebumps and anger as the director stepped forward and looked at him with intrigue.
"...Do you mean a vampire?"
"Yes, of course I do." The mechanic rolled his eyes as he fought back the urge to fight the raven. "What gave it away?"
Sammy smiled at him, not in that hungry 'I want to eat you but know that I can't' kind of smile, but also not a smug 'haha! you're a monster too now!' way. Before today, Thomas wasn't sure that Sammy was physically capable of smiling like that and it both creeped him out and made him angrier about this situation.
"Nothing, you simply told me that yourself."
"...Then why were you starring at me like that?"
The Bird monster shrugged.
"I was just wondering why your presence didn't seem to harm anyone anymore." He stated as he turned to leave Tom to do his work. "I guess I know why now."

Batim but it's a multiple choice side scroller game but not really because I'm not a game programmer (name up for change. Bendy: Rewritten, mayhaps?): the basics
What better way to start than to start with new mechanics and its chapter 1?
The first chapter is relatively the same, I'd imagine. Introducing basic gameplay mechanics, showing that the studio actually was, etc. etc.... Nothing much Henry does here would affect which path his story takes- that would start up in chapter 2.
I'd like to think Henry's still an artist even after so long, and brought a sketchbook with him. He fills it up as he comes across notable things: ie: the Boris room, the offerings room.
Speaking of the sketchbook, Henry can collect letters the employees write to themselves or others, ranging from reminders to vent writing to unsent letters. The audio logs still exist but are mostly professional, with exceptions like Wally's, Sammy's whole savior spiel, and Grant's dying wheezes for help. The "personal notes" are what really show how the character feels about things from when Joey still ran things. They are put into the sketchbook and can be read over multiple times. This is mostly optional and unlocks bonus lore, but may play a part in how Henry interacts with other characters if he learns a lot about them.
If Henry gets hit by an ink creature or stands under a burst pipe, he gets covered in ink and eventually wipes it off. As chapters progress his sprite becomes more and more tired and ink-stained. He puts less and less effort into wiping off ink until he gives completely. Similarly, the edges/corners of his notebook become stained with ink over time.
I'd say Henry could read the Illusion of Living when he picks it up, but...it's probably drenched in ink and barely legible. The first few pages are animation tips to breathe life into the art, but then ink begins staining the page and it gets darker and more ritualistic until it's completely incoherent and the latter half of the book is stuck together.
Bendy tears the boards off and gives chase, but it's not a very fast chase- ceilings cave in under burst pipes and block him from pursuing Henry from long.
After falling, this is where candles begin to become apparent. They are sparse at first, but become more common around Bendy cutouts (especially in chapter 2)
Henry's first few swings with the axe is clumsy and misses occasionally, but after a few tries he gets better and more confident at it. Like you're learning alongside him, kinda
The flashbacks at the end of chapter 1 make Henry stumble and he just passes out flat on his face
Because I "redesigned" Sammy for this and because rooms would look different as a side scroller, be prepared for some possible artistic renditions later on

So, here’s my take on BATIM, just because I thought it would be fun to share.
Before I begin, I would like to let everyone know that this isn’t exactly what you’d expect from other AUs. The only chapter which is over 90% canon to this AU is the first one, after Henry’s fall it starts to go off in completely different directions. I could go on and on about what it’s really about, but this post is probably going to be long as it is.
To put it simply, this is not exactly my Alternate BATIM. It’s a re imagining of almost the entire game. Keep in mind that just in case you find this confusing, I based a bit of the backstory off actual paranormal investigations that have taken place, especially Buzzfeed Unsolved.
With that being said, have a good read!
Henry and Joey are cousins, but because of the artists on tumblr doing their own interpretations I don't want to get mixed up so they have the middle names Dashiell and Cirrus. Because the cousins have been living in the same town since they were young, they are so close it's like they're brothers. Dash was a bit shyer than his younger cousin Cirrus, because his parents were a bit abusive and his father pressured him to behave in all kinds of things a 'man' might behave. Dash is actually gender fluid, but doesn't learn that until he's an adult.
To be able to get away from the adults, the kids would often run out into the woods outside of town to play. They learned that Cirrus had psychic abilities. Cirrus liked to play tricks. He could move things with his eyes if he watched them really closely, and in some cases he said that he could hear ghosts talking to him. The boys weren't afraid of whatever was out lurking though, they liked to go far away so that they could do what they liked.
One day, they came across an ancient house in the woods that had seemingly been abandoned for centuries. They, along with other children, had seen the house from a distance before, but this was their first time being so close. Cirrus, who was not afraid, said that he was going to go inside and see whatever was in there. The rest of the kids went back and told their parents about the house, and the adults warned them that many years ago it was rumoured that a witch had lived in that house. In the medieval times, it was rumored that she used her powers to curse people and was capable of bringing scarecrows and statues to life, and that she would order them to attack people if she didn't like them. Because it was the medieval era, people were very afraid of witches and supposedly ended up killing her. The adults warned that the house was supposed to have been cursed so that no one dared to disturb it.
Cirrus, who was about 12 at the time and very interested in the supernatural, said that he was going to explore the house at night and see if he could talk to the witch who used to live there. It took weeks of convincing before Dash agrees to accompany him.
They managed to go through the entire house and much to Cirrus's disappointment, they didn't find any ghosts. Much of the furniture had been destroyed by vandals, and some unknown people had graffitied over the walls. However, they did find one thing that would change their lives forever. Although they certainly didn't know it at the time.
There was an ancient book hidden under some loose floorboards, it was one of the ones you see in museums, the cousins knew it was old because the cover was made of leather, the pages made of cloth and it was all handwritten. It appeared to be a spellbook of some sort, with all kinds of runes and diagrams.
Dashiell was reluctant to take the book, but Cirrus reassured him that if the ghost of the witch was nearby, she would have warned him not to in some way. Cirrus said that he felt an urge to study it, so without wanting to stay in the house any longer, they ran back home.
The pages were mostly about alchemy, and how to make homunculuses, something that the boys did not understand. They left it under Cirrus's bed and forgot about it later on.
Years later, as the boys had grown into young men by now, they were looking for employment. Dash moved out of his parent's house to escape their pessimism when he was 16, vowing to never return. Cirrus, on the other hand, was looking for a way to tell stories more than to make money. Of course, they had to find a way to earn a living. Ever since Dash was young, he had a love for drawing. It was only because of his parents that stopped him from truly following the art career, but now that he was on his own he felt free to do what he wanted.
Seeing as back then cartoons were becoming really popular, the cousins decided to work together and form an animation company on their own. Cirrus decided that they could make it supernatural based, seeing as very few cartoons in the beginning had touched on that genre and he had ideas and thought it was full of potential. With these themes in mind, they decided to come up with the character of Bendy. Bendy wasn't originally meant to be a devil, Cirrus didn't know what a spirit looked like because he had never seen one appear to him, so he just went with whatever looked good on the screen. Bendy's lack of a neck was supposed to indicate he wasn't an ordinary animal. Eventually people started calling him a 'little devil' and the company they had begun decided to run along with it.
There are several cartoons which are non canon to this Alternate Universe interpretation, such as Snowy Sillies and Haunted Hijinks. Reason: Cirrus didn't want to have to leave the endings like that, with Boris getting the food all the time. I imagine that the episodes were most likely like Courage the cowardly dog than like the other 1930s cartoons, with lots of style switching, horror, life messages and philosophy hiding behind the childish content.
Dashiell was happy about his choices in life, but as the business began to grow and thrive he was aware of the fact that Cirrus didn't need him as much as he once did. Cirrus appeared to be thriving in the attention that the studio was getting, and that was perfectly fine with him.
The truth was, Dash was getting a little tired out by drawing cartoons all the time, frame by frame. He felt that even though he was talented, there were already more animators who had been hired who could draw even faster than he could. Dash preferred to create large and detailed pieces of artwork, but this was the animation industry he was working in, and his eye for detail wasn't as important. Cirrus somehow managed to sense that his friend was getting tired, but Dash was a little too withdrawn to speak about it in the beginning. Then one day, there was an employment opportunity in the newspaper from overseas. Whatever it was, it caught Dash's interest. His self-esteem had grown a little since his childhood, and he asked Cirrus if it was ok if he travelled there for a bit to see if the job suited him.
Cirrus didn't seem to mind, and even encouraged him to do what he wanted. Secretly, he didn't want his cousin to leave him but didn't say anything because he didn't think it was that big of a matter. Besides, it was only for a couple of years, and they would write to each other during that time.
Cirrus had actually been interested in the supernatural for some time. His abilities weren't a secret to his staff, sometimes at parties he would perform simple things like moving things with his mind and reading people's thoughts. The majority of his staff thought he was a talented magician, but Cirrus never fully understood his power himself. He wanted to prove to the world that magic was real after having the ability all his life, but he wasn't powerful enough to do anything other than tricks.
One holiday, before Dash left the country, he had gone to his childhood home to relieve some memories when he discovered the ancient book that he and his cousin had found in the house in the woods all those years back. Curious, he went back and flipped though the pages. In the past, his vocabulary and ability to read difficult writing was a fair bit mediocre than his knowledge now, but he began to read the old book with new eyes.
It was a book on magic, just like he had known before. But more specifically, it was a medieval alchemist's guide on how to use special energies and auras in the world to do things such as changing one material to another, and in some cases even create life. Cirrus was amazed at how detailed the drawings were and how deep they went. If it was a prank left there by some teenagers who were a little too attached to urban legends, it certainly didn't look like it. He tried a couple of simple tests, over the course of a few weeks he discovered much to his amazement that his psychic skills were increasing. They had gone down a little since he was a child, but now they had suddenly jumped foreword to the point where it was a little less like a party trick and more like he would be able to use them in his job to help him to some degree.
Cirrus felt a certain attachment to his cartoons, and occasionally applied the knowledge he had learned from the book to the episodes. He told no one of his plans though, he wanted it to be a happy surprise.
Eventually, the passage of time wore down on a bit on his anticipation, and he quietly asked Dashiell one day what he would think of using magic to bring some of their characters to life, although he acted casual about it as if it were a rhetorical question.
Dash reacted with concern. He said that even though he loved the characters, they were shown doing some rather dangerous things during the cartoons and may cause some trouble when outside. Besides, it wasn't a good idea to meddle with unknown forces, especially without a guide.
Cirrus still wanted to perform the spells, but he decided to keep them small under Dash's advice.
Cirrus noticed that his psychic powers, which had been declining since his childhood, had begun to grow stronger. He used time away from Dashiell to gradually make his experiments bigger as he became more accustomed to using magic. However, everything was done in complete secrecy, Cirrus would never want anyone to get hurt if they ever tried it out for themselves, he was an extremely soft hearted man who would not forgive himself for it.
The magic did not appear quickly, but very slowly. One day, Cirrus felt like he had come to a roadblock in his work. The most wanted pages of his book was the part on how to contact ghosts. He hadn't had too much of a problem when he was young, but now he wanted to do more, and the lack of knowledge was stopping him. Much to his frustration, there were several pages that appeared to have been defaced or torn out of this section.
It was around this time that Britain, where Dashiell had gone for his job, went to war in the 1940s. The war had gone out for a couple of years, in previous letters Dashiell had expressed his desire to return home before it became too dangerous for work, but all the ships and planes home had been used.
Dashiell wrote in his final few letters that he had been drafted into the ranks by the government and that refusing to fight would be illegal. He had been given the role of a medic though, he wasn't fit enough to be given a rank but the government was becoming desperate as time went on.
Cirrus was in great distress and overcome with concern about Dash's situation, especially as time went on, as the country was more focused on fighting Nazis than on carrying letters. He would rush to the letterbox as often as he could, eagerly checking to see if it was from Dash only to sink back into a state of constant paranoia and anxiety if it wasn’t. He had nightmares about his best friend being injured on the job, and was so distraught about the situation that it began to impact how well he could run the company.
It was during this time that his attempts to communicate with spirits were increased. He had read from what little remained of the torn out section that if ever a magician summoned a spirit, they could achieve great things if they worked together. However, as the rest of the pages were missing, he was unable to do anything and seemingly came to an immovable roadblock in his discovery trip.
Then, there was a strange creature who began to visit him in his dreams.
The creature spoke to him and claimed to be a guide who could make up for the knowledge lost from the book. The Guide told him that it would be his friend and ally through times like this. It started by teaching him about levels of energy, types of energy, what kind of psychic powers there were and how to develop them. In exchange, Cirrus agreed to strengthen the Guide's power by drawing all kinds of symbols on bits of paper and hiding them in unusual places and allowing his Guide to possess him whenever it wished.
Gradually, the Guide started making some unusual requests. The Guide requested he do things such as take things from his employee's desks and destroy them to strengthen its power. Cirrus was reluctant to do this, but then the Guide began to ask him to do things that gradually increased in cruelty, such as killing animals and self-harming for rituals.
Despite how he had not learned everything, Cirrus informed his so called 'Guide' that he no longer wished to have anything to do with it and attempted to break contact.
This was when things took a turn for the deadly.
The Guide refused to leave, for a while it was quiet but with time Cirrus realized that... he was wrong. The Guide had not left at all, if anything it was growing stronger and its grip on his life growing stronger.
Now before we go on, there is something about demons that you might be interested in knowing. Demons are incorporeal creatures from another dimension similar to ghosts, that are drawn to negative feelings such as fear, anger, sadness and anxiety. The average ghost hunter and mediums are trained not to go out looking for ghosts to talk to when they're having negative feelings, or risk the possibility of attracting a demon. In fact, most Ouija boards have warnings on the back about not using the board when the user is unhappy, else they summon bad spirits into their home. As the spirits are relatively unaffected by physical objects, it can be extremely difficult to get rid of one once it has established itself somewhere.
Cirrus, while wanting to do good things with his powers, was suffering from depression from a result of his failing company and anxiety for his beloved cousin. More than that, the entire town he lived in was caught in a state of constant panic as the effects of war were setting in.
So it was with this disastrously bad timing and lack of knowledge that Cirrus unintentionally summoned a very powerful demon into the studio. The effects of this mistake were becoming clearer with time.
Cirrus talked to people about conversations that he had never had in the first place, they accused him of things he could not remember doing. Sometimes he would wake up in the basement of the studio with his hands soaking in blood with no memory of how he got there, mysterious scars appeared in his skin and pentagrams appeared on the walls of the studio in full view of his uneased workers, and would not come off no matter how hard they were scrubbed.
Cirrus thought in his failing moments that it couldn't get any worse. But then- a day came when the names of the dead were being called, and much to his horror his beloved cousin was on the list. His worst fears were confirmed. Dashiell was dead- or so he thought. Although he never spoke about his grief and tried to cover it up whenever possible to his employees, it became quite apparent as the number of unanswered letters in his letterbox slowly piled in number. The Guide drew off Cirrus's despair and grief to make itself even more powerful, draining the young man of energy and making the possessions even more powerful.
Cirrus was aware of The Guide's lust for blood, and attempted to stall the need for a living sacrifice through a mountain of object sacrifices. The ink machine, originally part of his plan to bring cartoons into the real world, became a massive part of the Guide’s increasing demands.
Similar to how Sarah Winchester had been forced by vengeful spirits to construct the famous Winchester Mystery House, earlier on The Guide had instructed him on how to build the machine. It was originally planned as nothing more than something similar to a 3D printer, except for bringing life to his creations without any kind of sacrifice to be made. Later on as the machine expanded, the Guide's requests became more aggressive and began to drain the studio of income. The pipes expanded into the walls and had such a high maintenance that at times the workers were more focused on making sure the pipes didn't break than on finishing the animations. By now, Cirrus's company was almost bankrupt. Most of his employees, being unnerved by the paranormal activity that frequently occurred and realising that their financial positions had become unstable, left the company to find better jobs. Cirrus did not try to stop anyone from leaving, he understood perfectly why and did not want to be selfish. Besides, staying was becoming very dangerous to those who were involved. Turns out that The Guide was not the only demon to have settled in the studio. The Guide seemingly had been attracting more of the spirits, although lesser, were latching into the studio and refusing to leave. Cirrus was aware that some of them were attacking his employees, and searched frantically for a way to get rid of them and his Guide.
Time went on and he became more desperate. By now there were very few letters he had been receiving, eventually he did not check the letterbox at all.
Then in a moment of clarity, he remembered years and years ago how some spirits and demons had weaknesses to fire, which was why candles which were set in circles could be used to trap some demons as they were summoned, to prevent them from lashing out and harming the summoner. Realizing that he could possibly use this to expel the demons from the studio, he quickly decided to discourage the spirits from settling by making sure all the hallways were well lit with lanterns. Mostly oil lamps, especially the areas where the ink machine was present. He had learned partially that the Guide’s intent was most likely to use the machine to give itself and whatever other spirits it had brought with it more power, and fully prepared himself to stall that for as long as possible.
He locked himself in a room with bricks and cement, pouring oil in places to fuel whatever fire was needed. Halfway through, the demon realized he was trying to rid of it and attacked him. The original exorcism only needed a couple of candles, but due to the Guide’s strength Cirrus set fire to the room and was left with burns to his arms and legs.
The following morning he woke up in hospital after one of the workers had smelled smoke coming from under the door and pulled him out of the blaze while he was unconscious. Cirrus had attempted to wear protective clothing during the exorcism, but during that time the Guide tore off bits of it which was how he got burned. Cirrus had to wear bandages and lived in constant pain after the incident, but in a way he was satisfied with the result. He knew that the Guide no longer had any kind of control him, especially when he went to clean some up some of the demon circles around the studio and they didn’t come back.
With that being done with, he should have been able to focus on getting his business back. Turning off the ink machine and going back to what he could do was his first decision, if only he could do that.
He didn’t learn this until later- turns out that the Guide had never left. If anything, the paranormal activity had only gotten much worse. The Guide wasn’t in control of him, but it was in control of the studio now. What’s worse: the spirits that had slowly gathered in the area weren’t keen on leaving either. It was then he realized what the ink machine was really for.
Cirrus remembered how the Guide had originally instructed him to build the machine if he wanted to make his cartoon characters a reality, as the magical ink would provide a physical body for any cartoons he wanted to bring to life. The demons and the Guide must have been trying to use it as a way to bring themselves into the human world. They wouldn’t leave now, he couldn’t do anything about it.
What was worse, people had begun to see… things running around the studio. Creatures that were not human or animal, dashing between rooms and melting into the walls. Cirrus had been able to see demons and spirits for years before now and had always known they were there, but now that even his employees had gone to talk to him about it- it had begun to seriously concern him. The fact that they were now capable of moving freely in the real world using physical forms was an area of great concern for him, and he did not know what would happen should they extend their territory beyond the studio.
That night, he had a terrible nightmare. The demon that tricked him into releasing it into the studio and puppeteered his body into killing people and animals came and spoke to him. It taunted him by threatening to hunt down all of his family and his remaining friends, killing everyone he held close. It mocked him for how naïve and gullible he had been, berating him for being so fixated on his dreams that he had failed to make the studio safe and ultimately failed everyone else in the process. His perspective then switched to Dashiell’s hospital ship and it’s fiery demise.
Upon the dawn of the next morning, Cirrus struggled back to the studio, emotionally tattered through the years of abuse the ‘Guide’ had forced him through and so overcome with guilt at his own actions he was surprised he still had the will to live.
By then, there were only a few people who wanted to work in the studio. Cirrus explained that he would be shutting it down for everyone’s safety, then split whatever savings remained between them and began to clean the place out.
Resolving to rid the world of all the demons that had taken residence in the studio, he lit some lanterns at various points in the studio’s basement. Then reaching the top floor where the ink machine was located, he proceeded to force all the ink in the pipes into the bottom to the studio until they burst and flooded the area like a lagoon.
Ink is highly flammable, and so within a few minutes the entire area the basement was an inferno and the floors were beginning to collapse one by one. Cirrus ran for the exit as fast as he could, intending to leave that part of his life behind forever if he had the chance. But the demons, enraged at what he had done to their residence, materialized and attacked him in droves.
Realising that he had far underestimated the power of the demons that had settled in the studio, he abandoned his exorcism and fled for his life. His burn wounds and their rage meant he only made it about halfway to the exit before collapsing from his injuries.
The building wasn’t that big, but it was made primarily of wood and other flammable materials. Cirrus had not been outside for so long that most of the neighbors believed that he had already moved out of the country. Somehow, the last few workers who had left before the place went up in flames leaked to the local council that- as farfetched as it may seem- the fire had been intentional but it’s aftermath most likely wasn’t.
To discourage people from visiting the remains of the studio, they told the public that the blaze had been started by an electrical failure and that they should steer clear of the building to avoid injury through it’s unstable foundation. One mystery remained, however, was the way how even as the walls crumbled and the roof caved in, the surrounding buildings were not so much as singed. Even more mysterious was how even though it was thought that Cirrus had never left the building, they never found a trace of where he had gone. It was as if he had vanished from existence.
Maybe this would remain a mystery for many years to come.
Meanwhile in London, Dash sits at a desk making plans to move back to America as soon as the war was over. The Allies talked a lot about how they were going to win, and from the amount of POW victims the hospitals had been receiving instead of soldiers who had been wounded in fights, he trusted they knew what they were talking about. There was one thing that bothered him though. He has written to his cousin multiple times about the mistake the officials had made about the ship he was on, asking him if they sent him a second letter correcting themselves.
The truth was… Dash was never hurt in the bombs that destroyed the place he worked. In fact, he had never been on the doomed ship the begin with. His allergies, which had been with him since his early childhood, were ironically the thing that saved his life in the end. The night before, he suffered a particularly bad bought and was excused from work. Survivors of the sunken ship were counted as they were picked up by rescuer boats, so when Dash wasn’t counted no one remembered right away that he hadn’t been on the ship in the first place. Despite the fact that almost everyone survived, the people were so busy recovering that word spread slowly and no one had the time to inform the officials that he was most definitely not dead.
He explains this in his letters to Cirrus, but is increasingly worried about the fact that his cousin has not been replying. Dash wondered if the planes used to deliver the letters had been used up in the war effort, although it was nearing the end of the war so when he checked with the post office, they informed him that the letters all sent out perfectly.
As time passed and his letterbox remained void of reply, he becomes increasingly desperate to check on the welfare of his cousin. Believing that Cirrus must have been ill, he rushed home the first chance he gets without stopping to update himself on the situation back home.
So when the studio appears mysteriously intact and undamaged by the fire, Dashiell is not suspicious at all and instead pushes on in as fast as he can.
 Then everything goes awry.
So, that’s a rough plan of my AU. Chapter 5 has confirmed beyond a doubt that this AU is absolutely *not* what happened, in fact, this has changed so much that it doesn’t seem that related to BATIM. But that doesn’t matter to me. This is still somewhat in development and I’ve already fucked up the storyline (lol?) so if anyone wants their OC to be in it or something I can find a way to write them in! OH and Cirrus isn’t dead. He’s still here, but he’s not exactly the man we read about earlier. Wonder what happened to him…?

BATIM Fanfic: A Different Tune AU - Chapter 3
Note: Basically a shortened version of Chapter 3. Next chapter will be better and will be posted in a few minutes.
Hours later, Dani woke up and rubbed her head as she slowly sat up on the infirmary bed. Wasn’t very comfy but it was either that or the hammock and Boris seemed content with sleeping in it.
After stretching, she checked her phone and saw it was now 10 A.M.
“Whoa.” Her eyes widened. “I was more exhausted than I thought. Hard to believe we were here at around 7:00-7:30 P.M. and it’s now morning.”
After grabbing her MP3 off of the floor, she got up and walked out of the room towards the table Boris was sitting at with her phone in her hands. She tried to text and call someone but still no luck.
She didn’t hear any police walking around so what the Hell? Did her friends not get help and leave her to die instead?
“Of course I wouldn’t have service now with being deeper in the studio and all. Couldn’t even get it on the main floor.” She mumbled to herself but loud enough that Boris heard.
As she sat down, Dani put her MP3 on the table and she looked up to finally seeing Boris staring at her devices in a curious way. She glanced down at both of them and realized he probably never saw something like it before.
“Oh. You never saw a smart phone or a MP3 player before. Did you?” She asked him and he shook his head.
Checking the percentage on her phone, she noticed she still had close to 70% left. No harm in showing him some stuff. Right?
“Come over.” Dani motioned him over. “I’ll show you it.”
As he did, he grabbed a piece of paper and wrote a question on it.
“What year is it? I don’t remember anything after the 1950s.”
“It’s 2017.” Dani replied, making him give her a startled look.
“That long!?” Boris wrote. “I can’t believe this! I didn’t know that much time has passed! Explains how far technology seems to have come. Right?  What are your things with you?”
“Well, this is a smart phone. You can call, text, play games, send and receive email, use the camera in it, and all sorts of other stuff.” She held up the bigger device then pointed to the other on the table. “And that’s a MP3 player. It plays music and can hold a lot of songs. You can even text and do mostly everything but call on it too.”
“Can I see the camera? What is this… text, that you speak of? And email too?” Boris questioned.
Dani began to show him what texting and email was. As well as some social media accounts and games she had on her phone. After showing him how to call someone on it, she ended with the camera.
“Smile!” She held the camera up. After taking the picture and showing it to him, she continued. “Congrats! You took your first selfie!” She giggled then showed him the other side of the camera too and how it can switch and even record video.
After she was done showing him everything on her phone, she decided to do the same with her MP3 player. Skipping over everything similar that it can do like her phone and going straight to the music.
Boris pointed to her ear buds as she unplugged them from the device.
“Those are to make sure I’m the only one that can hear the music playing so I don’t disturb others.” She then showed him a few of her favorite songs.
About a hour later, she had made some bacon soup for them, still unsure how old it actually is but she was starving and didn’t know when she would eat again.
As they ate, she answered more of Boris’ questions about life nowadays and how much the world has changed.
Dani decided to stick with the new technology stuff so she didn’t have to go into all the history and other things that had happened since the 1950s. As well as other happy stuff.
“I wish I could leave this place.” Boris suddenly wrote.
“Can’t you? Or are you worried about what people might think about the whole cartoon character being alive thing.” Dani asked.
“That. And I don’t know if I can leave this place. The ink machine… it’s sort of trapping me here.”
“Kind of like what happened with Sammy?” She asked and he nodded.
“We’re all trapped here really. Only one that can leave is you. Speaking of which, why don’t we head out?” Boris suggested and she agreed.
Once all of her stuff was back in her pockets, she started cursing herself for not bringing a small purse at the very least. Then they headed out the door and into the hallway.
As they wandered through the dark hallways, she decided to use a nearby flashlight so her battery wouldn’t die faster on her phone. Eventually they had to be separated so Boris could open the door.
Dani walked through the toy department, hoping she would find Boris again soon. She couldn’t help but squeeze and listen to the pleasant squeaking noise that the plushies made. It made her want to bring a Boris one home and maybe even a Bendy and Alice too.
She found another recording and listened to it, feeling like the voice sounded familiar to her.
‘But it couldn’t be.’ She laughed to herself.
After a few minutes found herself in another room. The lights went out and she stopped in the middle of the floor as…someone was singing a song right when the screens turned on.
“I’M ALICE ANGEL!” A figure jumped up and banged on the glass as she screamed at her.
Dani’s mouth dropped, unsure of what she saw as she started to shiver in the darkness.
"I see you there. A new fly in my endless web. Come along now. Let's see if you're worthy to walk with angels.” The female voice chuckled.
Soon, the lights turned back on and the door that had been shut before was now open.
Slowly, Dani walked through and came up to two different rooms. An angel and a demon path? Which one should she take?
‘Hmm I had enough ink for a while.’ She shuddered, looking at all the ink in the demon path.
Going over to the other room, she jumped when she heard a door shutting nearby. Figuring it was the other room, she continued on without looking back and pressed the ‘play’ button on the recording on the couch.
“Everything feels like it's coming apart. When I walked into the recording booth today, Sammy was there with that... Allison. Apparently, I didn't get the memo. Alice Angel will now be voiced by Miss Allison Pendle. A part of me died when he said that. There's gotta be a way to fix this!”
“Well… that sucks.” She muttered. “What a way to be told you’re being replaced by someone else.”
Dani continued on her journey and felt relieved when she came across Boris the Wolf waiting for her with a pipe.
“Boris! You scared me to death! I see you found something we can use to protect ourselves with?” She said as he handed the pipe over.
A few minutes later, they were in the elevator and that… Alice Angel continued to talk to her.
"You're so interesting... so different. I have to say, I'm an instant fan. Looks like you've got a date with an angel! Come to me now. Level Nine. Just follow the screams.” The voice rang out in the air.
With nothing else to do, Dani decided to do what she said since she sounded and looked dangerous.
“Go on, step out of your cage. There’s a whole twisted world out here.” Alice giggled.
Dani walked down the stairs, stopping to listen to the recording left by Thomas. Then she went up to the door that Boris proceeded to run through once it was opened enough.
“Boris wait!” She called for him.
However, she quickly came to a stop when she saw what he was staring at after running after him.
“Oh God…” Dani stared at the Boris and Butcher Gang clones. She recognized them on a poster she saw just a little bit earlier before being attacked by one of them.
As she took a few steps forward, Alice continued.
"Look around. It took so many of them to make me so beautiful. Anything less than perfect was left behind. I had to do it. She made me.”
“Who?” Dani asked, knowing she wasn’t going to get a response.
Leaving Boris staring at his clone, she gradually made her way to the other side of the room, finding another recording left by Susie sounding… happier. Definitely before she found out about being replaced.
Then she went into the next room, unable to stop herself from stepping forward and staring at the creature getting electrocuted.
She did stop walking when Alice started speaking.
"Hm. Now we come to the question... Do I kill you? ...Do I tear you apart to my heart's delight? The choices of the beautiful are unbearable. How's a girl to choose?” She chuckled as Dani stared at her. “Take this little freak for instance! He crawled in here... Trailing his tainted ink to my door! It could have touched me! It could have pulled me back!!”
Dani tilted her head at what sounded like a voice change.
‘That’s… odd…’ She thought.
“Do you know what it's like? Living in the dark puddles? It's a buzzing, screaming well of voices! Bits of your mind, swimming... like... like fish in a bowl!” Alice continued. “The first time I was born from its' inky womb, I was a wriggling, pussing, shapeless slug. The second time... well... It made me an angel! I will not let the demon touch me again. I'm so close now. So... almost perfect. Yes. I will spare you. For now. Better yet... I'll even let you ascend and leave this place. If you will do a few eensy, weensy little favors for me first. Return to the lift, my little errand girl. We have work to do!"
“Okay…” Dani muttered, doing as she was told and going back to the lift, but being stopped to grab a plunger.
She did have a feeling of relief when Boris was already there waiting.
--- A few hours later ---
It took a while but she eventually did all of the errands Alice wanted her to do while hiding from Bendy and fighting any other monster that appeared to her.
As they slowly ascended upwards, Alice continued to speak to her before she started screaming again.
Dani’s legs began to shake as she tried to hold on as the elevator dropped suddenly and Boris was cowering in the corner.
All the while, Alice was screaming about how he was the ‘perfect’ Boris and that she wanted him.
“I need him! I need his insides so I can be beautiful again!”
‘Ew.’ Dani thought.
“Now give him to me! Better yet, I’ll take him! Once. Your. DEAD!!”
Dani closed her eyes as she fell backwards and hit her head. When she wakes up again, she’ll be surprised if she doesn’t have any sort of brain damage or a concussion.
---- A short time later ---
“Huh? What?” She mumbled as she was shook awake.
When her eyes cleared up, she saw Boris looking afraid and shaking her shoulders. Boris? What was wrong with him?
She blinked and her headed started to hurt and her vision started to get blurry again.
The last thing she saw was a figure coming up from behind Boris.
“B-Boris.” Dani said, trying to get him to turn around.
But he didn’t. He kept his attention on her as Alice came up and grabbed him from behind.
Dani couldn’t help but start shaking and yelp when she saw Boris getting dragged down the hallway.
Despite her head hurting, she tried in vain to get up and go after them. After standing up for a second, she immediately fell back down.
“Boris…” She muttered as she closed her eyes.
A whine slipping out of her mouth as her eyes began to tear up.
“…Please forgive me.” And with that, she fell asleep.

Thoughts on Solar Sand's "Cringe of the World - Bendy and the Ink Machine" Video.
Why, hello there! I should have expect to receive this ask as well :)I follow @sometimesdiscourseisunbearble, so my thoughts on it probably aren’tmuch different than theirs, and they are much better with words than I am!But I’ll still try and tell you some of my own thoughts as good as I can:
The game itself! Not far into the video he says “if a bunch of people think your characterin a horror game is cute, don’t you think you’ve failed?”And again, @sometimesdiscourseisunbearble explains why this is wrong in an answer to an ask. And I have tocompletely agree to that.I’m not a big fan of FNAF, but those characters are cute too. And their cutenessdoesn’t make it less scary when they jump out at you, or stare at you throughone of the cameras. FNAF 2 is a good example because there they are EVENFUCKING CUTER. What scares me in a horror game aren’t spooky looking monsters…I can get used to their appearance at one point and don’t care a bit abouttheir “oohhh so scary”-look.I think its atmosphere. And atmosphere is what we have in BATIM.SS also says that the game is bland and that in the first chapter almostnothing happens. And yes, almost nothing happens. And you know what? I’ve watched Jacksepticeye play it BEFORE I decided to getthe game myself. And I still shit my pants, even though I knew what was going to happen! Nothingbut a few little jump scares here and there… or sometimes I just jumped when Henrystarted speaking. God damnit, Henry! But that’s exactly what it is, it’s atmosphere! The feeling of “something mighthappen”. And yeah, I know very well that I’m a pussy. I never really played anyhorror games in my life so far, so I probably get a lot more scared in BATIMthan someone who is more experienced with the genre. And “basing your opinion on an art style” is apparently not a good reason tolike something. I like the art style and the characters and I want to know moreabout it all. He just really doesn’t seem to like the game overall…“You have to complete a very simple puzzle”, well yes. It’s just the firstlevel of the game; it has to warm you up. You can’t put people into a gamewhere you’re stuck at the very first level and get people frustrated as hell.It just sets you up for the rest of the game. In chapter 2 the puzzle (with the instruments) got quitea bit harder in my opinion. But I’m also not the brightest, so that might alsobe why it took me a bit longer so understand that I had to turn on the projector. He then goes on complimenting the game, saying it does have somewhat of anatmosphere and is visually interesting. Saying he might change his view of itin the future, when more chapters are released, but that the game so far isaverage. And that’s absolutely fine.BATIM is of course not the best game of all time, but also not the worst. And maybe it’s just this famous now because Mark and Sean played it. What’s wrong with that? If the game wasn’t appealing to some then it wouldn’tmatter who played it. If people didn’t like some aspects of the game itwouldn’t be this big. It’s fine that SS doesn’t like it that much. Some of his critique wasn’t reallynecessary imo, but whatever.
Art!So, first off, I know that SS hates fetish art and somehow manages to dig outthe worst parts of it in any fandom. Things I too wouldn’t want to see, or arereally just bad. But there is often no need for him to call them out on that, other than “Wow, look what I found. Look at this gross shit!”Unless the artist doesn’t even tag it as NSFW, or doesn’t put the mature filterover it. He even asked one artists why he doesn’t do that at one point (not inthis video, but a different one) and that escalated quite a bit, with theartist telling him that DA is a porn site… *facepalm*So SS isn’t always wrong. Heck, it’s his opinion and an opinion can’t be“wrong”. And telling someone to tag something as nsfw and checking the filterfor it sure is the right thing to do, and the artist disagreeing is plain dumb. But NSFW in general will exist in any fandom. And bad art too, there is nodenying that.He sometimes gives kind of good criticism. It sure could be better, I guess.I’m not the best critique either! But I can’t find ANY of that in this video. He simply complains about howboring and uncreative the game is, shows us some OC’s (some of which are drawVERY WELL might I add!) and complains about them as well… and of course aboutthe NSFW stuff, because that’s just what he seems to hate the most.I actually had to laugh a bit when he explained us the picture where Bendy seemsto cum out of his eyes??? Omg??? That sounds hilarious. And the Necrophilia… I don’t think I can or want to judge anyone on that, because I too shipped some things when I was still into Undertale that some ofyou will hate me for. (and no, no childporn stuff. That’s a no-no.)But hey, everyone their own, right? As long as no real people get hurt, whereis the problem?I’m not surprised that he hates on that stuff. Since I know very well that heisn’t into fetish or porn art at all anyway. Which, again, is fine. But criticizingits existence is just unnecessary. The OC’s…Like I said, from the examples he showed in the video, some aren’t drawn bad atall. Some other BATIM OC’s don’t even have Pac-Man eyes, though. Because people“modernize” them and give them normal white eyes with a black pupil. (I know this has a name, but I forgot)And one of them is obviously a younger person new to art.Instead of giving feedback on what to do better, he just complains about them, also saying pretty stupid stuff like “All of them look like Bendy withdifferent head shapes”.Solar Sands, do you need some glasses, maybe? And the “weird piece of art” most likely was a re-drawing of some meme withBendy and I’m-not-sure-who in it.
He shows us some fan video made with Lego, which seems really cute.Looks like something I would have done when I was a kid! For a while I used tomake short stop motion videos with my toys…I should actually go and find the video and watch it myself. What he says about the Source Filmmaker videos isn’t actually that bad either?I don’t watch many of them myself, so I can’t tell if all of them are like thator if he just searched for the “worst ones”.(I want to add that I don’t actually think of them as bad. )The animation for Bendy’s mouth bugs me in these almost as much as it bugs SS,so the critique there isn’t that bad. Pointing out when something looks weirdis fine. He could have said how to make it better, but he probably knows asmuch about Source Filmmaker as I do.I’m not a big fan of rap battles or any of those VS videos. I don’t watch them,so I don’t have much to say to that.WHAT I’M ACTUALLY VERY HAPPY ABOUT THOUGHis after all that when he makes fun of that stupid repost-or-ignore-picture.“If ignoring this post means Bendy’s death… and I hated this post in the firstplace, then that’s a win-win situation!”A true “win-win situation” is something where both sides of a party winsomething. So Solar Sands is wrong about that… but whatever, he made fun ofthose #save//bendy assholes, so that’s cool, right?(Although I don’t want Bendy to die, but you get what I mean)In the end he shows us some creations he liked:DAGames’s song “Build our machine”, calling it catchy “but it can getannoying”.Alright…?I’m actually interested to know what he thinks is annoying. I don’t mean thisin a “this song isn’t annoying!”-way, but I genuinely would like to know what hemeans.I’m a big fan of the song and I really like Caleb Hyles’ cover for it! Morethan DAGames actually, but it’s still very good.He then compliments some of the animations and leaves us with something thatlooks like some badly drawn meme. And whether or not it’s supposed to look thatbad, it just adds to it, making it pretty funny. Boi.
TL;DROverall his video was fine.He shared his opinion with people… although I think he was a bit too harsh atsome points and I was missing actual feedback. Like many other videos of himit’s mostly just complaining with some nice words here and there. In some videos before this he gave actual feedback to people. Again, maybe notthe best, but he tried. But here…I disagree with things he said, but I’m not mad that he doesn’t like it.Although, I’m not sure if this really comes across like that, looking at thiswall of text;;;;What I fear is, that his video might give more fuel to anyone who supports#save//bendy. Even if he made fun of the repost-post, I’ve already seen peoplein the comments saying how they want to save the fandom or that it is too lateetc…

Delving into what chapter 2 of Bendy: Rewritten (or just the side scroller AU, as a couple people have called it- still working on a vaguely clever name hh) would be like, where there are choices and reactions! More canon divergence! Things set up and hinted at!
The background music changes. No shame to batim's music, I quite like it, but it can be better. Whenever Sammy's around (carrying the cutout, looking over the band room, giving his ritual spiel) a banjo is added to the bg track. The followers get string instruments, more added depending how many are in the room. The sacrifice room is mainly string instruments
Sammy is somewhat a lost one. He loses his buff rights and is a mix of his pre- and post-update designs. I say somewhat because, while he is skeletal, he drips a lot and doesn't really have feet.
Sammy actually has followers. It can be pieced together from notes and dialogue that he split from the Lost Harbor after a close run in with Bendy permanently mangled his body and converted him to worship. He brought a few other lost ones with him (like, only a dozen but a couple died on the way). They wear Bendy masks, too, yet he's the only one wearing pants (mostly to hold his legs together). He also wears gloves to hold his fingers together, and only takes them off for brief periods to play an instrument before having to put them back on. Bendy left him with a lot of lasting damage
Tumblr media
They all look the same and they know it hh
He's a proper prophet figure now that people look up to him. If Henry can find them huddled around a statue in prayer or drawing a ritual circle, they will talk about how much hope he gives them and how kind he is, despite how strict or overly optimistic he can be at times.
The followers' opinion of Henry changes with his behavior. Suggest Sammy is nuts? Say Bendy is evil? Drink too much soup? Break cutouts? They don't like that. Ask to learn more, give them some fresh soup, maybe even draw Bendy for them if Henry comes across fresh paper, and they'll appreciate it.
The cutouts are decorated with soup and candles. Drink a couple cans and the followers won't notice, drink more and they'll be upset, drink them all and they'll get concerned. Ink rats will scuttle out of hiding and can be found licking the empty cans.
Oh yeah you think humans were the only thing the ink affected? No there are ink rats and they scuttle around. Sometimes they become an enemy if multiple melt/fuse together and it's just a Lump Of Rat
"Did you drink the soup?" "No, did you?" "We don't have mouths! We can't eat!" "Who drank all the soup then?" "I don't know, but now there are rats everywhere!"
The whole chapter 2 area is bigger, kind of. Lots more signs of being lived in, with offices turned into little bedrooms and such. The followers are shy, though, and lurk behind locked doors, so finding them is tricky. Signs of life are everywhere but finding the life itself is difficult. Finding ones that talk more than a sentence is even harder.
Sammy is unhinged. Well-meaning, but ultimately mentally...cracked. He claims to have visions he interprets, but it's ambiguous whether they're nightmares/dreams or if Bendy's messing with him. He genuinely believes that Bendy will set them free, and he wants the best for his sheep. He'd be amicable if he wasn't trying to sacrifice Henry.
Instead of pressing the switches to open that first door, Henry had to find a pipe valve. A new "mechanic" of sorts is draining flooded halls. Ink pours down from piped above in an unpassable wall, and one or two valve are needed to shut it off completely.
Remember those notes I mentioned earlier? Well, some found around the music department contain buckets of how the followers see Sammy and their situation in general. They range from "oh hey here's Sammy's favorite tune-" to "note: don't play the organ! D:"
It's possible to find old newspapers and comics. Some of the pictures have been carefully cut out and pasted on the walls in various memorials, ranging from Bendy letting them outside to Sammy being "blessed" by the Ink Demon.
Some of the more petty depictions paint Alice as a jerk. She's an angel, he's a demon, so they're opposites. Since Bendy's so great, she must be awful! Rumors of a cruel Alice in deeper levels are hinted at.
The band room is slightly different. The projector's bulb is burst and there's a sticky note on it saying something about how touching it when you're made of ink is a bad idea, and to fix the projector before Sammy notices. Henry has to find a lightbulb and fix it now before he can turn it on.
The fight after opening the sanctuary affects the followers' opinions. They begin to realize what Sammy has in store for Henry. Killing all the searchers make them either makes them wince or frustrated, depending on their view on him up til that point.
Tumblr media
I feel like you could probably click/interact with the banister to look over and it shows a still image of the band room below, and it shows whether or not the projector is fixed/playing and also shows any Bendy cutouts that pop up. I tried to draw that but couldn't get the angle I wanted, so
Sammy's sanctuary is like...just a big ol Bendy shrine. It's also where he sleeps, writes songs to Bendy, and where his banjo is kept. He has a Bendy plush on his bed
The further the chapter goes on, the quieter the followers are to Henry. They're gathering candles and offerings of personal belongings. They might be bittersweet, neutral, or glad to be away from him, depending on Henry's actions.
Jack is important to Sammy. They worked closely together and so they somewhat remember each other. He acts as Sammy's personal treasurer and doesn't let go of anything given to him. The first encounter with Jack is relatively the same, with needing to grab a valve from him. However, instead of holding the valve, it's sitting on the box
Henry's notes in his sketchbook also change depending on his interactions with things. If he annoys the followers and develops a bad relationship with them, he'll treat them like blind fools. If he helps them or is generally nice, he'll sound more sympathetic towards their situation and wish them well.
One is in the infirmary, badly hurt, missing a leg, practically a searcher, and delusional after getting just grazed by Bendy's aura. They believe they've been blessed by his presence, despite falling apart more and more by the hour (Bendy and any ink creature do not go together-). Henry can kill them and put them out of their misery, if he so chooses. The others won't like that.
Whether Henry kills him or not, Jack remembers. Getting items from him in the future becomes harder if he's killed multiple times, until eventually he's downright scared (I'll delve into more detail on the mess that is chapter 3). Befriending him completely later in chapter 3, on the other hand, will make the task easier.
Killing Jack triggers a horror vision. Henry briefly becomes unable to move, visibly distressed and looking around until the vision ends.

Not necessarily the sewers you first encounter him in, but close enough. You know you've entered an area Jack's in if there's a random item on a box that's under a light in an otherwise dim ink-flooded room
He goes through 'stages.' First the valve is on a box. Henry tries to grab it, but Jack (moving through the ink) pushes the box away. The methods of dealing with him is a messy web of cause-and-effect, with chances to crush him, corner the box slowly and steal the valve, it rush at it and cause it to slide off, or snatch his hat and bargain. (It's possible to steal his hat, kill him, and then keep/wear his hat, but why would you do that? Jack would forever loathe Henry and later on Sammy may ask for it back)

Nothing will stop Sammy from knocking Henry out. No matter how kind or cruel Henry is to his followers, Sammy will smack him over the head with a dustpan. He can't run, but the man can be sneaky if he wants to be, lurking through shadows and phasing in and out of the ritual portals.
(Clarification: because it would be a side scroller and the player could see Sammy sneaking up on Henry, instead there's a ritual circle on the wall that he'll jump out of when Henry walks past it.)
The sacrifice room is more of a hallway. The followers are all watching from the sidelines, peering through knocked out walls and over makeshift fenceposts. Candles and other offerings are around Henry. Sammy gives his spiel as always, first starting with a quiet "that face..." whispered mostly to himself but then using his Big Loud Musician Prophet voice to put on a show about how grand the sacrifice will be and how happy Bendy will be. The followers get excited for it.

Messy rendition but you get the picture
Sammy enters the room off to the side and calls for the Ink Demon. Ink leaks from the vents, and his aura is making some of the followers unsteady/weak. They become more restless, and unstable, until the calling reaches its climax (Sammy also sounds out of breath and his voice becomes wet and labored) and Bendy arrives out of sight. Sammy is torn apart, as per usual, though it's a slower, more audible mauling, and drags on through Henry's escape.
Some followers flee into the ink, while one or two are liquidated just by Bendy's aura. Others panic and attack Henry when he breaks free, messed up by Bendy's aura and so they resemble searchers.
Whether or not Henry powers through the onslaught or axes the frenzied followers may alter the number of followers he encounters later on, and (combined with how he'd treated them) how they react to seeing him again. "Oh I kind of remember you" vs "I don't blame you for using the axe" vs "Did you slaughter your way down here, too?"
Like in the updated chapters in game, the you can see ink machine lowering past crates/wood boards
Bendy actually pries himself up out of the ink with effort. Like, hands planted on the ground, lurching up, ink sloughing off of him, generally more detailed for a 2D animation.
Boris time! The boy himself peeks out from behind a wall before stepping out of the shadows
Feel free to send an ask for clarification/more detail about anything- I'm happy to go on more tangents!
