Anywayyy my point is: may I request more hcs but with the other boyos (Childe, Albedo, Bennett, Razor, Chongyun, Xingqiu and maybe Aether if you do him too xD)

Laser Tag ( genshin x reader )

Summary - Genshin characters playing laser tag with you their s/o.

Pairings - Reader x Childe/Bennett/Razor/Chongyun/Albedo/Scaramouche

Warnings - Mention of guns and shooting.

A/N - Added in Scaramouche- But I couldn’t think of anything for Xingqiu. I can surprisingly see the majority of the Genshin boys being good at wielding guns, even though they’d probably suck lol

Laser Tag

Childe

Childe is a beast.

Whether it’s in the terrain of his battlefield, or the streets of Liyue playing laser tag, Childe plays to win. He’s always been the competitive type, enjoying the thrill of battle, or in this case, laser tag.

He loves the game.

And of course, you just have to end up on the opposite team as him.

This game is the perfect setup for an enemies to lovers kind of vibe btw. With him shooting at your comrades and eliminating them from left to right, and you doing the same for his team. Very few people stand against him in this game, and his accuracy and sense of battle.

The two of you will spend the entirety of the game playing cat and mouse. Childe chasing after you while you simply escape his sights every time, taking down his teammates while you’re at it.

Childe isn’t as interested in winning, and once you prove to be worthy of a decent laser tag battle, he tries his best to force you to confront him.

Of course you on the other hand take his reckless behaviour to your advantage to turn the game in your favour and strike down his team. You know it’ll piss him off later when you win.

However, it Childe does manage to catch you…

The two of you will fight, that much is obvious. Dodging and attacking him, he will get very into it. Maybe a little too much, but you don’t give in, not until the very end.

Not until he’s on top of you, the two of you toppled over a bunch of hay that cushions your fall when he crashes into you. Not until he’s holding the plastic revolver against your temple, staring straight into your eyes with his signature smirk.

He might sneak a little kiss in there just to throw you off.

But in the end he will make sure he wins, or rather, he eliminates you. He doesn’t care if he doesn’t win the entirety of the game, taking you down was satisfactory enough, and he feels well accomplished and content after.

Would definitely rub it in your face.

If you brush it off as something you didn’t really try in, be prepared to be pinned against the wall and kissed until you admit that you were in fact, doing your best. And yes, he won fair and square.

Bennett

Omg this precious boy-

Bennett will try his hardest, stick by your side and shoot at any approaching target. Considering that the two of you are on the same team, he will promise to protect you.

With one problem.

No matter how well he aims, whether it is going to hit his target or not, the lazer disagrees. Rather, his terrible luck absolutely ruins it and somehow his lazer point ends up somewhere completely else.

“It changed its direction completely!”

Well… you never know, maybe it’s the gun that sends the lazers ray so far off, but considering it’s Bennett, you know it’s no coincidence.

So you end up protecting him.

Dragging him from place to place and shooting down your opponents, the two of you spend your time tripping over random large ass rocks ( with only Bennett’s terrible luck to blame ) and attacking opponents.

You make sure that Bennett is not shot, no matter what. And you give everyone else a terrible glare that basically screams that if they shoot him, they’ll face your wrath.

Nobody shoots Bennett.

By the end of the game, he’ll be grinning ear to ear. And even if he didn’t manage to eliminate anyone, he’ll boast about how his amazing dodging skills pulled him through the game. You’ll agree, lacing an arm around his shoulders and pulling him to the good Hunter to get a good meal.

Just to buy one though, the poor boy can’t cook for his life.

Razor

“Razor… very confused.”

The wolf boy has difficulty with the rules of the game, but the concept of pointing the gun at an opponent and shooting them with a lazer isn’t too hard to grasp.

You find out very quickly that Razor is actually pretty good with aim.

His hands don’t shake for one, and he is so adept to his surroundings that people struggle finding the source of their depleting health. Despite being overall confused at how to play, Razor easily becomes one of the main players taking opponents down.

As someone on his team, he makes sure to keep you by his side the entire time. He understands the elimination part, and he doesn’t want his lupical to get taken out, even if it’s a game.

He can be oddly affectionate at certain times, pushing your face against his chest as he takes out the remaining players in the field you both are in. He will carry you, and take no hesitation when pulling you out of the way, even if it’s a little too rough.

When the game ends, it might take a while to explain to the poor boy that your team won. And that it was a good thing.

Razor will begin to smile when he notices how content you are with it.

Chongyun

This man has the audacity to wield a gun while licking his ‘popsicle.’

Like goddamnit Chongyun, being good at shooting is already a flex, you don’t have to nibble at your popsicle while you’re at it.

You can’t really blame him though, it’s hot outside, and with the sun beaming down on the poor boy's head you know he can’t stand it. Especially with all the adrenaline and yells from opposing teams.

As someone on the same team as him, you take on the job of Chongyun’s personal popsicle restocker, and shooting anyone down once he gets tired. As good as the boy is at shooting, he sucks at keeping himself unknown to the other players.

So you take on the job to make sure they don’t shoot him down.

The two of you are a good team, and if it gets too hot, Chongyun might even let you have one of his popsicles. Of course you don’t have his talent of being able to shoot while having a popsicle in your mouth-

Your team will end up losing though, and even though Chongyun isn’t bothered, he will be slightly worried if you care. The two of you were obviously trying your best, and as long as you both had fun that’s all that matters to him.

But if it really bothers you that much…

He knows you feel comforted by physical contact, so he’ll hold your hand and offer a comforting smile. Tell you that you played well, and that he had fun.

That cheers you up right away.

Kiss him on the cheek please, even though he will flinch at the contact, his cheeks are flushed red and he won’t admit it. But he likes it.

Albedo

Why is it so easy to picture Albedo as a hot sexy stoic mafioso wielding a gun?

Anyways, Albedo is terribly good at wielding a gun. So good at that he only holds the plastic revolver with one hand, never missing a shot as he walks down the streets of Monstadt.

He knows the area well, so good luck trying to sneak up on him. The way his eyes so carelessly sweep the buildings, it hardly looks like he’s trying. Eliminating players with his lasers as he mindlessly strides past the fountain.

Of course, you’re against him.

Albedo isn’t really motivated to play, he’d rather be in his lab experimenting or recording down his discoveries. But he was dragged into this mess, he might as well play his part and support his team.

Albedo won’t hesitate to shoot at you and take you down.

As much as you may be important to you, he plays this game fair and square. He will take you down, or rather, he will try, because you get creative :)

He knows Monstadt well, but he can’t possibly keep his eye on all angles around him. So you’ll aim for his blind spots, throw yourself at him and tackle him to the ground. Simply eliminating him isnt satisfying enough, you need more.

So you turn this into a little game to fluster him.

Tackle him and pin him down, watch him scramble for the gun and then give him a peck on the lips. Watch as his grip loosens, and one of his hands instinctively come to nestle against your hair to pull you closer, and then you pull away.

Watching his idle confusement turn into a light blush on his cheeks is just too good, and how he grows even redder when you start laughing is even better.

Of course his team wins, not that he cares.

The minute the game ends he’s back in his office, conducting experiments. You can go interrupt him though, sneak into his office and press a kiss against his neck. He doesn’t often react or do much to it, but after your linger kiss at the game, he will pull you close and sit you on his lap. Have a proper make out session after you left him hanging with that peck earlier ;)

Scaramouche

This little man is ‘terrifying’.

It’s scary enough that whether you’re against him or on the same team as him, you keep your distance.

“Are you avoiding me Y/n?”

You play on the same team, and even if he’s your boyfriend, you know better than to stay too close when it comes to battle. He shows his cruelty, and you really weren’t looking forward to be put in the middle of that.

‘Unfortunately you didn’t have a choice-‘

Scaramouche will literally drag you, a hand looped around your waist to tug you to his side and take you along with him as he takes down opponents after opponents. He doesn’t ask for your praise, but you still give him it knowing he appreciates it. Mentally.

When he’s tired or bored, he will lean his head on your shoulder, wait there for a bit before jumping back up and shooting a random straggler on the sides. Heavens knows how the boy knows he was there, it’s like he has some sixth sense.

We don’t even want to get into his accuracy and precision, Scaramouche is born a mafioso.

At the end when your team wins, no surprise, give him a hug. Tell him he did well and even if he tries to push away, hold him tight. Even though he could easily pull your arms away if he wanted to, he’ll just pretend to give a little struggle and then give in to your warmth.

Eren Yeager

Freshman year

Extremely fucking loud for no reason

Runs to class and somehow always manages to be late

Tries to pay attention in class but due to his ADHD would always spaces tf out

Despite being loud, only talks to Mikasa and Armin

Smells like nothing but AXE body spray, its not even a bad smell, its just too much

That kid that takes P.E. TOO fucking serious

"Eren you know why you're in trouble right?"

"No."

"...You hit your classmate in the face with a ball."

"He could have dodged."

"Eren it was a basketball, you broke his nose and chipped his tooth."

"He shouldn't have gotten so close to me."

Constantly compared to his older brother.

Most of them minus the industrial piercing was done at home because he has an abnormally high pain tolerance.

Freshman Year

The kid who looked up those lame videos on how to survive highschool.

Panicked when it came to speaking in class

Stuttered like hell

AP CLASSES

He's way too advanced like could graduate early but refuses to so he can stay with his friends

Super sweet but extremely naive

People definitely took advantage of him.

"Hey Armin, my dog got in a car accident so I wasnt really focused in class, can you give me the homework answers?"

"Yeah sure its no problem."

Sends them a whole ass powerpoint on the entire lesson and teaches them better than the actual teacher.

Band nerd

Can play the Piano, Bass, and Trumpet

Listens to Mother Mother and Queen religiously

Only joined Eren's garage band after he agreed to watch Bohemian Rhapsody

Moved in with Ren and Miki after he went through some shit with his family; he came out as bisexual after realizing he was attracted to one of his classmates.

Sometimes worries that Eren gets uncomfortable but relaxes after he remembers who Eren really is.

Wouldn't trade his friends for the world

Senior Year

His glow up took awhile because he didnt really feel the need to change

He was always rather cute; just shy and timid

VALEDICTORIAN

Slightly because he manipulated his runner up into become a burnout gifted kid lmao

Everyone has his Snapchat and Instagram so they can get help

Now he knows when people are using him and he still lets them; the only difference is you fuck with him and he can make you end up repeating the same grade.

Lets people copy his test and at the last minute pauses and erases all his answers before putting the correct ones.

No one has realized his plan.

His fashion sense changed a lot

Subconsciously tries to match Eren all the time

The only person that noticed was Mikasa; she thinks its cute

Is in love with Russian foreign exchange student, Annie.

He talks to her from time to time before gathering enough courage to ask her out

Doesnt realize how popular he is.

Oftentimes volunteers at the aquarium to study the ocean life as well as help out.

Helps plenty of organizations clean up the ocean.

Follows Eren and Armin around

Super quiet

Doesn't really have much of a personality

Has deep down accepted that she may never be more than just his friend

Is okay with it and NOT toxic when he's crushing on someone else

Just wants him to be happy

Saw how he looked at some girl during a fundraiser to raise money for animal shelters and realized that he may never look at her like that.

Turned a guy down because Armin had a crush on him

Introduced Eren to her opponent after a track meet after realizing it was the girl from the fundraiser.

i feel for earth! and i totally agree: if Sam was annoyed at Earth demanding more attention, or more like: to get a simple answer to his text, or being whiny he should tell him but also take a hard look at himself.

i don’t take his anger at Earth seemingly not appreciating his effort at face-value. even for someone like Sam who has somewhat of a superiority complex it seemed too much to lash out to that extant at Earth. I think that was his conscience yelling at him. But rather than owning up to his mistake or realizing that he is the one jeopardizing their relationship by being selfish he uses things not going his way as an excuse to sleep with Studd.

Studd isn’t really what he wants, Studd just comes easy (which I think is how Studd is already punishing himself: he knows that he’s just Sam’s easy get-away). If he’d really try to pin-point what is going wrong between him and Earth he’d find out some things that don’t fit in with how he sees himself or how he wants others to see him.

He’s perfect, he’s hot (he acts like he’s over going to clubs but he loves the attention he gets, he loves Studd being attracted to him) so there’s no way he could do wrong.

sure he kissed Studd but he earned going to the club that day, he worked hard! and he was intoxicated, so who could blame him! he still told Earth he loves him, he’s a good boyfriend!

but deep-down he must know that this is wrong: he deliberately told Studd not to tell Earth about going clubbing, how he acts especially affectionate in bed with Earth right after etc.

but instead either owning up to it or breaking up with Earth he doesn’t want to admit how he messed up even more so doesn’t want anyone else to know how he failed at staying committed.

what frightens me most is this ability to put up an act in front of Earth, how he rationalizes his infidelity (while deliberately hurting Earth) and I do believe he not only called Studd cause he wanted to feel pitied and fuck him/get fucked by him but also to check on him.

the last thing is just the impression I got while watching episode 5:

- there’s the standard cheater reasons to call Studd: he’s attracted to him, he wants to feel desired, wants someone to console him and cater only to his needs, he definitely can’t call someone else - he’s afraid that people from work or same-aged friends would judge him and call him out for being an egocentric asshole or would rejoice that his relationship isn’t going well

- but to me there was something else: calling up Studd he makes sure they’re on the same page, that Studd won’t tell Earth. But when Studd even tries to explain how Earth feels and agrees that their kiss was a mistake, his ego kicks in and now he has to have Studd.

→ which is scary and calculating. i would have believed that he still loved Earth after kissing Studd, but after episode 5 it couldn’t be more clear that he only loves himself. he not only cheats, the way he does it will be particularly hurtful to Earth once he finds out - and Sam doesn’t care.

this is not to say that he’s intoxicated or that Studd is problematic for making a move on him while he was clearly sober and Sam was not.

but I do agree that he already knew what this would lead to when he called up Studd, I even think that this was what he wanted to happen. He wants to feel desired, especially by someone attractive and charismatic as Studd.

I’d even go further and say: he wants to have his specs while having the sex-life and charisma of Studd. Sleeping with Studd is the best-next thing.

Studd on the other hand is living through emotional hell (not excusing him here, he did what he did): he knows it’s wrong and he wants to become a better person, but somehow it’s always easier to be the selfish flirty prick. Sam is terribly attractive and he wants to ruin this ‘perfect’ person. But he also loves Earth, so now ruining Sam for Earth is another thing he wants to do. And he does feel so bad about it. And he does try: by removing himself from their home he tries to protect Earth from himself but all it takes is a text from Sam and his resolve weakens. I think he wouldn’t feel anything if Sam was dating someone else than Earth but even then wouldn’t actually want to get into a relationship with him.

I loved how we saw Studd’s good side this episode and I’m in love with him and Boyo. They are chaotic but I adore how they can be so upfront and honest with each other and talk about sex without feeling judged (for the wrong reasons).

I only fear that Boyo will take it really bad once she finds out that he went on to sleep with Sam.

film watch day 19: Halloween (2018)

ill keep this as spoiler-free as possible since the film just came out like eight seconds ago

Halloween follows on directly from Halloween, ignoring all the other movies also called Halloween that had the decency to differentiate themselves slightly. forty years after Michael Myers tried to kill Laurie Strode he returns to Haddonfield to wreak havoc again.

Halloween is a Halloween movie. it does what a Halloween movie should do. its the purest one of the sequels; theres no attempt to reinvent the concept. this isnt Michael but in a hospital or Michael but in a school or Michael but on a reality tv show. this is Michael Myers, in Haddonfield, trying to kill Laurie Strode.

the film isnt a perfect movie or a perfect Halloween movie -- only the original is -- this one meanders with a few sideplots that i felt had more potential but in truth i appreciate that instead of trying to reinvent the concept of Halloween it just took the core concept and expanded on it. it embedded the lore and feeling of the original in this new movie and grew out from that, pursuing questions that the original raised.

Halloween is largely about two things: it is about how people see Michael Myers, and it is about trauma.

i would have to view the movie a dozen more times before i feel comfortable really talking about how effective either of these themes are explored, but my gut reaction is that i like what there is, and i want more of it.

theres a layer of metatextual understanding in this movie that it is part of a huge legacy, that people dont just have opinions on it, it means something to people. they care about how this story is told. it understands what people expect. and unlike a million other Scream knock-offs that have the characters just mocking the stale tropes while repeating them exactly, it just plays with our expectations in meaningful ways. this isnt a film that just read the tv tropes page for Halloween, it actually understands Halloween.

the callbacks to the originals are also subtle and varied in a way thats interesting to watch, or adds some kind of intertextual meaning, rather than just being a parade of “i got that reference”.

the themes of trauma, especially inherited trauma, are what this movie is built on. Jamie Lee Curtis carries this fucking movie. dont get me wrong, Andi Matichak who plays Laurie’s granddaughter Alison is extremely good also, and all the actors and characters are compelling (even a few very minor ones), but Jamie Lee Curtis is fucking transcendent in this movie. maybe im “biased” because i was prepared to die on the cross for Laurie Strode long before this movie came out, but shes amazing. having heard her talk about Laurie and what this movie meant to her, to play a woman who confronts the man who traumatised her, was something that hung heavy in my mind watching this film and it really made all of it so much more fucking beautiful to see.

i dont know if this counts as spoilers when its something i made up but one of my greatest fears about this film was that in some twist, Laurie would become the next monster, that her trauma would make her “evil” and have her become a killer too. but theres not even a fucking hint of that, and im glad, because it allows the film to be a genuinely powerful movie in some ways. maybe it wont feel that way for you, but it did for me.

and also, yeah. Michael Myers. Michael Myers is right in this film. he is correct. he is intelligent and cold and driven by some nearly otherworldly need to destroy that people try and fail to dissect and understand. he is scary. he is brutal. surprisingly, the film has more scenes than any other in the franchise where Michael is maskless. im absolutely fucking fascinated with the way those scenes are shot and what it says about his character. he feels like a human being in this movie, and thats the highest fucking compliment i can pay a portrayal of Myers.

Laurie and Michael’s relationship is the thing i cared most about and every fucking scene with the two of them is incredible. again, Jamie Lee Curtis is unbelievable in this movie. but Laurie’s relationships with her daughter and granddaughter are huge, incredibly important parts of this film. while Laurie and Alison are more the starts of the film, when Karen (the daughter) has her moments she fucking shines. seeing her deal with the inherited trauma shes left with touches again on that theme and i actually found myself at the end of the film wanting to see a sequel so i can see the story of the Strodes continue. i said a few weeks ago that people watch slasher movies for the villains, but Halloween 2018 is a slasher movie where the final girl is the most powerful force and the biggest draw.

the movie is also beautifully filmed. every fucking shot is so well composed and theres some moments that... i wanted to print a screenshot and wallpaper my room with them. i dont know how else to express my love. the film has moments that rival the iconic background scares that Carpenter made into an art form in the original.

also yeah the film is scary and has some great kills and is surprisingly restrained on the blood and gore? it has its moments and its a lot gorier than the original, but the film utilises the power of the unseen kill really well.

Halloween 2018... Halloween H40... gives me genuine optimism that this series could come back and mean something. i loved this movie. i cant tell you if itll be as effective for people who arent fans of the original, because i obviously fucking cant separate myself out and make myself not someone who the original means a lot to. but as a fan i feel pretty fucking good about this film.

My dad is emotionally abusive and just in general sucks and I'm really upset today because with it being fathers day, my family has it that I "Have" to hang with and do as my father says......I was wondering if you could cheer me up by writing something like bruce and alfred being good adoptive father figures to a male reader who just sorta ended up hanging with the batboys, with it slipping that the readers family life isnt great, despite the readers happy outward face.

I originally had something else planned for Bruce, Alfred and Clark but I figured since this is a request that youseem to need, I tried my best with it! Hope this is able to cheer you up a bit!

“Young master Y/N, will you bejoining us for dinner today?” Alfred asks when you walk by the kitchen,trailing after Tim who is still chattering about what he had gotten for Bruce.You blink a couple of times, pausing to think about the offer. On one hand, youreally want to stay and have dinner with the family but on the other hand, youknew if you went back home, you are just going to be super fucking miserableand your family might even get mad at you for skipping tonight.

Tim must have seen the briefconflict on your face. “Yeah, he’s staying for dinner, Alfred.” Tim answers foryou and you shot your friend a look. Tim simply shrugs. “Come on, we still needto play the game. Alfred’s going to call us for dinner once it’s about done.”Tim pulls you in the direction of his room.

“Thank you, Alfred!” You call outover your shoulders.

Alfred simply smiles at you.

The moment you reach Tim’s room, youimmediately went for the bean-bag you have claimed as yours, making yourselfcomfortable. You watch Tim plug in his PlayStation and hands a remotecontroller over to you. “Tekken 7?” He asks and you shrug your shoulders.

“I’m game.”

The two of you had spent the entiretime playing Tekken 7, shouting and screaming at each other as you tried tobeat Tim. You are somewhat thankful you had gotten the chance to meet Tim thatone day. It went from casual conversations about the latest games and latestupdates to having actual conversations about all sorts of games the both of youplayed and soon, Tim and you became quick friends.

The competition between you and Timare put to a stop when Alfred knocks on the door. “Young masters, it is almosttime for dinner. If you could head over to the dining hall, it would befantastic.” Alfred announces and Tim nods his head.

“Why don’t you head down first? Ineed to take a quick shower.” Tim tells you and you nod your head. “I thinkDamian should be downstairs somewhere.” Tim turns to look Alfred.

“Master Damian is currently in thestudy, playing with Titus as we are speaking.” Alfred nods his head to confirmTim’s suspicions. You got off the bean-bag and hand the controller you had beenusing to Tim. “Follow after me, Young Master Y/N.”

You left Tim’s room and quicklyfollowed after Alfred. You really look up to Alfred. The first time you had metAlfred, you had been a little bit afraid because of his stern expression butyou quickly find out that despite his expressions, he was lovable and his quickwits amazed you.

“Alfred, will everyone be around fordinner today?” You finally ask. “It’s just that today’s Father’s Day and all.”You casually point out and Alfred shakes his head.

“Not everyone, unfortunately. MasterDick is currently out of the country for a job and if all is well, Master Jasonwill drop by when he is finished with his.” Alfred tells you as he leads youdown to the dining hall. He didn’t really have to do that to be quite honestseeing as you have already been hanging out with them a lot to know where thedining hall is but it still made you somewhat happy.

“I see.” You say softly. “Areeveryone happy?” You randomly ask when he leads you to where you will besitting.

Alfred looks at you before givingyou a knowing smile. “Do you know why we fall sometimes, Young Master Y/N?” Heasks you instead and you frown as you tried to think of an answer. “So that wewill learn how to pick ourselves up.” You take a seat on the chair and furrowyour eyebrows.

“Being happy is a choice, son. Itsimply means that they have simply decided to see beyond the imperfections.”Alfred tells you as he recalls every little thing the entire family had gonethrough and he places a hand on your shoulder. “You just have to choose it andfight to be happy.” He lifts his hand from your shoulder, dropping it to hisside. “Dinner will be served shortly.” Alfred then excuses himself leaving youwith a few questions rather than answers.

You never looked forward to Father’sDay. What with the situation back at home and your father was just plain rotten?Constantly abusing you emotionally, to the point where you are just so tiredand done and you tend to find excuses to not stay at home. It makes you wonderbriefly if Tim – and the rest of his family – knows about your situation backat home. You had been careful too, not letting it slip just how unhappy yourfamily – more specifically your father – made you feel.

“Tt. It is you.” Damian walks inwith Alfred the Cat chilling on his shoulders and you give Damian a wave. Henods his head curtly as he takes his seat. “You are looking worse for wear.Whatever have you been doing?” Sometimes you forget Damian’s a thirty-year-old stuckin a ten-year old’s body and you chuckle. “Tt. I see nothing funny about myquestion, Y/N.”

You shake your head. “I justremembered something but do I look that bad? I think I’m getting more sleepthan Tim does.” You point out, looking at your reflection on the spoon. Yeah,you might have eye-bags beneath your eyes but that was certainly nothing new.At times, you can’t sleep, your thoughts plagued by the thoughts of your dad.

Damian shrugs his shoulder, pickingAlfred off of his shoulder to place him on the floor. “Run along and find Titusnow, Alfred.” He tells his cat and you smile. You never thought he would havean affinity with animals – it was kinda adorable.

Not long after that, Tim appears,chatting with Bruce.

“Hello, Y/N. How are you?” Bruceasks you when they reached the table. Tim takes a seat beside you, leaving theseat beside Damian empty and Bruce sits down on his chair.

“Still alive and breathing, sir.”You grin at Bruce and he nods his head, a small smile on his face. Anyconversations that were about to happen after that is cut short because Alfredcame in bringing dinner. Eating home-made food was always something you lookedforward to and sometimes you think Alfred spoils everyone in this house withhow good most of his food were. You thank him and Alfred tells you to eat yourfood well before taking a sat at the far end of the table – still mindful ofthe fact that he is a butler – even though you are sure no one in the housereally thinks of him as a butler anymore.

The rest of the night is spent withyou watching everyone interact. Halfway through dinner, Jason comes walking inand it was amusing for you to see Damian interacting with Jason. Despite hiscold attitude towards him, you can see that Damian actually looks up to Jasontoo. Perhaps this was what Alfred had meant by his answer to your question.

You have come to notice thateveryone is a misfit here and everyone just clicks. It makes you a little bitsad that your own family is not like this. But you tried to put that at theback of your mind, especially since both Tim and Damian had invited you to stayover and you jumped at the chance. Anything to spend the night away from yourfamily.

You thought you had a grip on yourown emotions and managed to go about the rest of the night without giving awayyour problems. But you thought wrong. Just as you are about to go in one of theliving rooms – where Tim and Damian had set up their mattresses – Bruce stopsyou. “Our house is open for you whenever you feel like it, Y/N.” You frown atfirst, confused by what he is saying.

Bruce gives you a small smile. “Afather figure of mine once said, however dark and scary the world might beright now, there will be light.” He stares at you and you reel back from theshock when you finally understand what he was trying to say without actuallysaying it.

“Thank you, sir.” You tell him. “Thankyou.”

Bruce shakes his head. “Remember,the house is open for you whenever.” He tells you once more before leaving youto digest just what had happened.

Now, I'm not one to start or cause drama, but after some recent events I've felt the need to address a person who's not only continued to harass a friend and I but also try to emotionally manipulate us.

This girl ran the dailydanielgillies blog and has many alias, her most recent name to go by is Amy but has been know as Piper, Yvonne & Holly according to @shitheardonline (which is pretty much a blog dedicated to keeping the RPing community in the know about Amy and her whereabouts). I was following dailydanielgillies of course, to keep up with all things Daniel Gillies. After a few good weeks of following her I realized the blog contained more admin updates than anything Daniel Gillies related. The posts consisted of the admin getting upset every time Elijah (Daniels Character on The Originals) was hurt, or died or her favourite pairing wasn't together she would mouth off, get sad and threatened to delete the blog, threaten to harm herself or to hand the blog over to someone else.

I messaged her initially offering to take over the blog if she wanted to pass it along as she had previously stated. She asked me a few questions (if I had ran a fansite before, how long I had been on Tumblr... etc) and I thought that was pretty standard and she gave off the impression that she was ready to hand it over to me but then she got quiet, didn’t correspond any further and the negative posts on her blog continued. That wasn’t fun for anyone, a lot of people have claimed it made them feel uncomfortable. After the three weeks had past and finally getting a hold of her, I could tell she didn’t want to part with the blog. That was fine, however her blog wasn’t giving me what I initially sought out for, so I told a friend, Ree, (@suitsofarmor) I was planning to make a Daniel Gillies fansite and she offered to help (Ree has huge admiration for Daniels work and knows a lot of info about him and his projects - so it was perfect) So we started our own Daniel Gillies fansite under @thegilliesource. 10 hours into starting that blog (the template wasn’t complete or customised, we had about 3-6 followers by then) we both received messages from the Amy asking us why we didnt ask her permission to start that blog. My initial thoughts were ‘WTF?’ After doing some digging I realized she had posted on @dailydanielgillies (gone now) our new link and then saying she was going to close the site because we made one. Bare in mind none of us made the blog to rival with hers, no one had bad intentions, we both just werent getting what we wanted from her blog and decided to create our own as a lot of her followers had voiced the same issues of not enjoying her admin posts. I woke up to messages from both her dailydanielgillies blog (which by then she had archived) and her inspirationromance RPing blog too. I have some screen shots of the messages she sent us as well as well as what she posted on dailydanielgillies (remember to read from the bottom of each screenshot upward):

She messaged me both on her RP blog and on (inspirationromance) & dailydanielgillies to which the conversation went like this:

As I said the template wasn’t completed, no schedules were made and we had about 3-6 followers at the point so no one knew about us nor did they flock.

Also may I add I found it amusing that she already knew the reasoning behind us not deciding to have her as a contributor. She knew what she was doing already. PLUS she wasn’t entitled to the blog in any way shape or form.

I’m sorry. I found It funny because enemies sounded so dramatic. I felt like a kid in a playground and someone has just said they didnt want to be mates LOL I was confused like, what? I went along with it anyway.

Apparently not.

And I kept to my word. It was clear that as soon as I said something she’d take it way out of context or twist it and that upset me, so I cut ties. I initially only responded to the messages from this account but I did get some from her RP one inspirationromance and after the Sunday and this previous conversation. I didnt respond. A couple of days after that she deleted that blog altogether - but didn’t forget to blame us first.

At first I didn’t know who inspirationromance was but after looking on her blog I came to find out it was her. Also she had left a really cute message for Ree and I, take a look and also yes, from then on out dailydanielgillies had been deleted which is why you wont find anything.

Yeah...

Didn’t really matter though because she got a shiny new blog with a similar name shortly after called @gilliesgifsource (also deleted, she likes deleting things within a period of a few hours to a few days)

I wish I had more shots of her site because the similarity in text was ironic. Still, we never flagged it up with her.

She continued to message us every couple of days on our personal accounts or on thegilliesource. They were all ignored, and that seemed to annoy her more, but we didnt respond because we knew regardless, our voices wouldn’t be heard or respected. We had already tried to have a civil conversation and that wasn’t enough. She would also write about us on her RP blog and then tell us we were horrible people for not responding. This week I started RPing with someone new and realised their blog was made in the past 24 hours and they were a semi selective roleplayer, I realised she had made a starter with Amy and knowing emotional manipulation and abuse can be a trigger warning for people and knowing Amy had a preference for certain face claims... I didnt want this blog getting into something that could be emotionally harmful so early. So I explained that I didnt want to change their mind about RPing with Amy but I sent the RPer there to @shitheardonline, a blog that particularly talks about Amy and her antics online, and the RPer decided they didn’t want to go down that route. After seeing that we were even mutuals Amy wrote this on her blog (but also blocked the new RPer due to us being mutuals BEFORE the new RPer even had the chance to block her, herself as the new RPer had already started to see the negative side of her)

What tipped me over the edge is when she sent thegilliesource this message:

I did nothing wrong. We did nothing wrong. @shitheardonline is a public site, everyone can grab that information themselves. She also tweeted this:

Now I’m not one to play with a suicide threat. I have lost three real life friends this way, one being in the past couple of weeks. I treat the topic very sensitively. According to @shitheardonline there had been old accounts of her threatening suicide like this but just doing it to scare people.. And after reading her tweets that followed her tumblr posts and that message I made sure I reported her accounts to a Suicide watch. I wanted to make sure she was okay. Because all things aside it's clear she has a mental health issue (I have anxiety, depression and get severe panic attacks to the point where I pass out) So I know how scary and difficult it is. I get help for my mental health, but I feel as if she doesnt have that help or control over it, her emotions change erratically and I would hate for anyone to feel as if they have done something wrong especially when not even responding to someone.

She was offline for a day and came back with this post:

I’m not posting this long ass post to ‘out’ any one, or shame anyone. That’s never healthy. But I know that also the way she can treat people, take things out of context and react to things isnt healthy either, especially to those who are vulnerable and take things to heart. Messaging someone to say they are the cause of their suicide is intolerable. I was worried sick and for what? She was trying to scare me and it worked, which had bought back a flood of triggers from my childhood, but I choose not to be a victim to it at all and I would hate any of the community having to go through that too. I’ve felt like I was doing something wrong or was in the wrong until my fiancé reminded me that hurt people, hurt people - But that doesn't make it justifiable. To get the message out and protect others too. I’m writing this post as a psa if anyone is looking to steer clear of Tumblr drama or want to avoid triggers like like suicide, emotional abuse and manipulation. She has a tendency to post and then delete, so that’s why I’ve been taking screenshots, so going on those pages they may have posts missing - this isn't out of the ordinary. All info I shared are online and public and can be publically shared. The reason I’m sharing screenshots of PMs is because I want everyone to see that I’m not making this up and/or I’m not lying. Because Amy has called me that. On several accounts. BTW within the last 24 hours she’s also changed her URL from @inspirationromance to @theheartofromance, then to @characterarchiving. I woke up this morning to a notification of a follow/unfollow from phoebegillies. After inspecting the account and realising the rest had been deleted (including gilliesgifsource) I’ve realised she signed up with a new email (because she was blocked on the other accounts too so she couldn’t have followed me.) So she’s deliberately come and found me again to follow me then unfollow me. It was like a little dig at me. So I blocked her. She’s now harassing me by constantly reaching out despite my efforts to stop her. There you can find a list of aliases she’s used over the years as well as URLs she been under, horrible tweets she’s sent out and tagged TO writers in etc...

As of today (the 31st of May) she’s also made her Twitter account private so I’m glad I screen shotted what I could when I had the chance. I wish this girl the best and hope she gets the helps she needs, but its not okay to point the finger, victimise, harass and manipulate people online. And I want all of us to stay safe. Getting your players to Roleplay (and GM burnout)

I’ve found, especially over the last two years, that I tend to get pretty easily burnt out on campaigns. At first, I blamed myself, I wasn’t good enough at running games, or making worlds, they just weren’t interesting enough. But looking back on my last two campaigns, I’ve come to realize something, they were good. I may have not done anything ground breaking with them, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with them. The problem was my players.

Now, before I go to far I need to say that, there is not a “right way” to play a role playing game, however, if you want to just play a dungeon crawl loot and kill video game style game, most GMs aren’t for you. Most GMs spend hours of their free time a week working on their worlds, where as most players only look think about or look at their character during the game. I’m going to let you players in on a little secret… ready? Come closer… you can work on stuff too… what? What the hell? That’s the GM’s job, not mine! Well, no, it isn’t my job to give your character a backstory, it’s my job to find a home for it in my world. Your characters are people, they may be fake people, but they have their own goals, likes, dislikes, and personality. Your GM may not want you to do a voice or accent for your character, but they probably want you to role play.

Tips.

1: The Playing the character problem. (This one can be helpful for any group, but if your group plays in a public space, with other people around, it’s super good to keep in mind.) take the game seriously, without taking yourselves seriously. We may be using dice, and rule books, but in the end, when we play a table top role playing game, we are playing pretend. I know, that can be a little scary to think about. “But I’m an adult now, pretend is for kids!!!” In the end, were pretending we’re someone else for fun, someone with powers in a fantastic world, but pretending nonetheless. Think of it less like a kid playing a game, and more like an actor taking on a role, except, you don’t have lines and you have to decide what to do and say. It’s okay to make a fool out of yourself, no, no really, it is. I promise, this is dungeons and dragons!

2. The player character consistency problem. This one is important, many players act as a mindless drone who does whatever they can do deal the most damage, or deal with a situation most effectively, without thinking about the role playing side. This could end up making you act one way in a situation once, then a similar situation comes up and you act totally different, because you have a new power, or think it might be more advantageous to do something different. But a person, a thing with a personality tends to react similarly to similar situations. Keep your character consistent. Now, also keep in mind, characters can learn just like you can, and if they made a mistake, or learned something from the last time they had a similar encounter, that would make them act differently.

3. The alignment problem. In modern D&D, alignment is becoming a big problem, players see it as a restriction, so they tend toward neutrality. This falls in to the same kind of advice as the next tip. RESTRICTIONS ARE GOOD!!! A character with an exceptionally low score in an attribute, or a character addicted to a substance, or one lawful and good, places restrictions on your character, which sounds bad, but that’s how people work.

4. The min-maxing/“I wanna play the coolest guy ever!” Problem. You won’t have any more fun playing D&D if you deal the most damage, or have the coolest spells, if you have a good enough GM, a dumbass can be just as much fun to play as a badass. Fucking up should be just as much fun as executing something perfectly. I’m going to briefly move away from these tips to tell a quick story. When I was 15 my dad got a new job in a different state, far away from any friends, or previous D&D experiences, but to my extreme happiness, a group played at a local game shop in town! Awesome! They were taking new people! I showed up one Saturday, and sat down and created a character. The group was the most dysfunctional D&D group I’ve ever met. A dungeon master who had hundreds of dungeons, but did not describe a single one. It was like playing a video game, but, even worse. He didn’t have flare, or passion, it was just “this room is this size… you find a trap… you disarm the trap… you open the door (places minis on board) six (monster names) attack you. Someone track initiative.” That was it, when you hit, you dealt damage, no flare, nothing. When you missed, you missed, no description, nothing. This IS A PROBLEM a giant problem if you’re a player and you’re in a game DO NOT DO THIS If you’re a DM CHANGE HOW YOU RUN. It will cause players to only care about damage, it will cause players to cheat and say they roll higher than they do, it will RUIN D&D for some people, trust me, it almost did for me. But I came back, I watched D&D podcasts and shows, and all of the sudden I was like “wait a second, this is D&D, not that!” But I couldn’t find any games like that, so I started running, and it became what it was supposed to be. Let me remind you, there is no wrong way to play, but if a player comes in to a public game, at a convention or game shop, I promise, they aren’t looking for a dungeon.

5. The “but who cares what her favorite food is” problem. Who cares about your characters favorite food? Or color? Or book? Well your character does, so you should too! Even if it never comes up, think about it like this. When the last time your favorite food led you to pick a specific restaurant, or your favorite color led you to picking a shirt, or household item? How much has your favorite book effected you? These things matter, likes and dislikes make a personality.

6. The time spent problem. Like I said before, your GM probably spends a metric ass load of time on their game, so sit down for half an hour during the week, and figure out something new about your character, write about them, draw them, even if you aren’t a good writer, or artist. Just take time with your character, their parent’s name, their brother’s name. It helps, I promise, and it isnt asking that much.
