when yeonjun left to go back to their dorms, all of the tears came rushing down before you even got the chance to step away from the door. it was painful to know that someone else was making him laugh like that when you were just right there beside him. it was painful to feel as if you were being tossed onto the side like an old cardigan that he didn't like anymore.

thoughts of him leaving you anytime soon wouldn't leave your mind and you couldn't do anything to stop it. you had no energy to stop it. everything was already draining the amount of energy you had left and it was hard, because your main strength was focusing on someone else other than you.

you didn't know what else to do. confronting him about this again would make you look silly. he would probably think that you were getting jealous of something so trivial, and that would hurt you a lot more.

you decided to stay quiet. you didn't talk to him the day after and kept ignoring his messages. it made you feel a bit guilty to see him ask if he had done something wrong, but you made no move to give a reply.

yeonjun's messages seemed never-ending today despite his busy schedule. you wanted to cave and face him as if you weren't worried about anything, but you couldn't bring yourself to.

you kept rereading all of his messages while laying on your bed and curled up in your blanket. you haven't eaten anything the whole day and you were still wearing the same clothes you had on yesterday. it was terrible how all of this was affecting you and it just made you realize even more that yeonjun leaving you was your worst fear.

your thoughts were interrupted by a knock on your bedroom door. your heart started racing. you forgot that he had a spare key to your apartment.

"(y/n)?" he softly called out. you held your breath and stayed quiet, hoping that he would soon leave you alone.

"baby, i know that you're still awake at this time. you don't like sleeping in the afternoon because you feel like you would waste the remaining time of the day."

silence.

"baby, please. talk to me. tell me what's wrong," his voice sounded desperate by the minute. you closed your eyes and softly sighed. were you really about to do this? what if this confrontation would only really lead to your fear being turned into a reality? what if he thought that your jealousy was so silly and childish? your mind felt conflicted once again, but your body had plans of their own.

you found yourself standing in front of your door, a hand on the door handle. you closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and opened the door to be faced by the reason of your worries.

yeonjun let out a sigh of relief to see you alive, but his heart sank to see that you weren't looking so well. he stepped closer to you and held your face in his hands. "what has been bothering you?"

you teared up at his question and you felt your limbs go numb. his eyes widened and he immediately pulled you into a tight embrace when he noticed the tears forming in your eyes. you quietly sobbed on his shoulder and he rubbed soothing circles on your back to calm you down. you felt like your heart was being pounded into bits and pieces and being in yeonjun's embrace made everything ten times worse. you didn't know what to do except cry until you couldn't anymore.

it was a horrible feeling, but you knew you had to let it out one way or another. when you had calmed down, yeonjun laid both of you on your bed, his hold on you never loosening. you quietly told him all of your worries while burying your face on the crook of his neck because you felt embarrassed to say it to your face. he never let you go. he held onto you tighter as you spoke.

"i don't want to lose you, jjunie. i don't think i can live a life without you in it," you whispered. yeonjun closed his eyes, pained by what you had just told him. he didn't realize that his actions were hurting you so much and he hated himself for it. he never wants to hurt you.

he shifted so he could look at you, but you had your eyes closed. "i want to see your beautiful eyes, darling. may i?" you opened your eyes slowly and saw the guilt evident in his eyes.

"i am so sorry that i hurt you. you are one of the best things to happen in my life, i would rather die than to lose you. you make me feel human when i feel like i am not, you make me laugh when i have no strength to do so, you make me feel complete when i feel like there's a hole in me,"

"i would never leave you nor cheat on you, i swear on my own life, (y/n). i love you too much to do that to you and i don't think i can love anyone else more than you," yeonjun's soft voice and words struck your heart and made you feel guilty for feeling the way that you did. you pushed him away because of your own thoughts and you felt awful.

"i'm sorry i didn't tell you. i pushed you away because of my overthinking, it was stu-"

"it wasn't stupid, (y/n). i could see why you would think that. i wasn't paying attention to you. i'm really sorry, my darling. i really am. i will do everything i can to make it up to you. i love you," he placed his lips on yours for a passionate yet careful kiss. he wanted to show you how sorry he was and how much he loved you with all of his heart and soul.

when he pulled away, you placed a hand on his cheek, gently stroking it. "always tell me these type of feelings, okay? and i will tell you mine. communication about our emotions is always important," he declared. you nodded and sighed softly.

he was looking at you with so much adoration that you felt it was overwhelming to keep eye contact with him, but you couldn't look away. his eyes were one of your favorite features of him. they were always expressing every emotion he had in him, good and bad. they were beautiful and mesmerizing in every way possible.

"i love you, yeonjun."

"i love you, (y/n). lia is just a friend from the industry, okay? like i said before, i only have eyes for you. no one, and i mean no one, compares to you. no one is as amazing as you," you finally smiled for the first time today. all of your worries instantly vanished as soon as you heard what yeonjun had to say earlier, but now you felt even more at peace. you could always count on yeonjun to reassure you when no one else would.

"and no one compares to you, my love."

"of course, i'm choi yeonjun," he teasingly said. you chuckled and rolled your eyes playfully. he tucked a strand of hair behind your hair and hummed. "you are so beautiful."

you blushed. "stop, i look like a mess right now," he immediately let out a whine of protest. "what do you mean, you look beautiful even after you cried. hell, you even look beautiful while crying, but i never want that happening unless it's because of a romcom."

you narrowed your eyes. "are you sure i'm the one who cries while watching romcoms?" you teasingly said. he raised an eyebrow. "hey, i don't cry while watching romcoms."

you hummed and nodded, a playful smile on your face. you obviously weren't buying what he said and you both knew that. "whatever you say, yeonjunnie."

"get the hell away from me yeonjun," you spat through gritted teeth. you yanked your arm away from his unbelievablely tight grip on it. in all the times you had known him he had never manhandled you this much unless you guys were fucking but that’s another story.

"well what the fuck is this then huh?" he angrily snatched up the letter you had written earlier that day from the bed you both shared. well, used to share. he was fuming and to be honest you hadn't expected that reaction.

arguments with yeonjun were by far a rarity however he was never yelling and cursing at you. he usually would remain calm and make up afterwards.

"fuck you," you answered coldly. you hadn't even noticed the tears streaming down your face but yeonjun was already on it as he gingerly wiped them away, a contrast to his previous attitude toward you.

"don't touch me," you sneered. you stepped back to the suitcase you were currently packing. "'im leaving yeonjun, i can't take living like this with you anymore,'" he read out loud. you froze but brushed it off and sniffle as you continued to pack your clothes.

"i'll make sure not to mistakenly pack your clothes with mine," you mumbled miserably. you heard him let out a frustrated sigh, he walked over to you and yanked you up so that he could look at you in the face.

"what the fuck did i do?!" he yelled. you flinched but showed no signs of backing down, you weren't gonna let him see that you were intimidated. "ask your new bitch."

you watched as he froze but brought himself back by looking back down at you with confusion but mostly anger. "what?" he asked.

you scoffed, "i heard about how you barely hang out with the other members anymore, let alone barely stay around me, about how you stopped writing music and dancing. i thought you lived and breathed that shit." he opened his mouth to speak but you continued.

"don't even get me fucking started yeonjun, i know you're cheating on me too. the members told me how you've been bailing on them to fuck some random bitch every week. i've stayed quiet and obedient but this is the last fucking straw. why the fuck did you bail on me on Valentine's Day while I was here busting my ass to cook you food and get prettied up!" you were full on sobbing now. "why don't you go call her up, matter of fact, how about after i leave you call her up and fuck her into that bed right there. i bet you or her wouldn't mind."

you tried to control your tears but honestly you didn't care anymore, you had to show yeonjun that he had hurt you too much to bear now.

"baby...y/n..." he tried consoling you but honestly what would he say that wouldn't hurt more. you were aware of the fact that he was staring so deep into your soul right now, the way his slim fingers were rubbing up and down your arms, you really wished it was comforting instead of feeling like burns.

you roughly wiped the tears of your face and looked into his eyes. "fuck it, i guess since i know all this fucked up shit about you i should tell you..beomgyu and i have been fucking behind your back," you wanted to sound spiteful, after all you only did what you did for revenge but you did have some feelings for choi beomgyu.

you watched as the look on yeonjuns face went from calm and understanding to enraged once again. "WHAT," he shouted. he held your arms tighter so you couldn't run now. "LET GO ASSHOLE," you shouted back.

"WHAT THE FUCK Y/N, MY BEST FRIEND REALLY?! THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?" he might as well have been shoving you into the wall at this point. "i don't care!" you cried. "am i really that easy to forget? it can't be THAT easy, going around messing around with these other girls, leaving me lonely for prettier women you know i need too much attention for that shit. you KNOW how i am and i trusted you with that, i needed you!" he looked down at you as you put your head on his chest in defeat, you were way too tired for this right now.

it's true that yeonjun knew how insecure with yourself you got. it reminded you of a time you all were just hanging out and soobin had brought his girlfriend. everyone in the group could tell how disgustingly in love he was with that girl. at some point in your own relationship, yeonjun had stopped looking at you as if you created the stars in the sky. you guys weren't even standing near each other because yeonjun had said he "felt uncomfortable" with skinship in public which was another fucking lie of his. a friend of taehyun's who had tagged along with you guys had even asked if you and yeonjun were brother and sister, ouch.

when you both got home that day yeonjun didn't even comfort you or mention the comment made about your guys' relationship, he went straight to sleep. you had stood by the door frame watching his chest heave up and down as he slept. you just shook you head and joined him, trying to forget the comment and his actions but he ended up making it up to you with sex and of course you just forgave him.

you lifted your head from his chest and realized he had calmed down a bit. this boy and his mood swings.

"give me one good fucking reason why i shouldn't leave," you shoved his chest but not enough to really move him. you weren't even angry anymore just tired of everything.

"y/n.." it was as if you could see the gears turning in his head, looking for the right excuse. you sighed for what seemed like the 100th time. you didn't wanna hear an excuse if it wasn't gonna be genuine, you knew he would just go back to doing whatever it is he was doing on his days off and you didn't wanna hear it.

"let go of me yeonjun, we're done."

you guys were the kids where if the fire alarm was set off it always had something to do with you two

maybe because he always suggested the stupidest things??

“What if we mixed bleach in? Do you think the color would get lighter?” He would say with the giddiest smile

and in your head you were thinking ‘Hell no!!’ like the smart straight A teacher’s pet you were

but every time you’d go along resulting in the worst chemical reactions ever

not just chemistry, but during biology too you guys would just be the biggest troublemakers

“Bet you I can’t make it dance the woah.” you said as you held the synthetic frog you two were supposed to dissect

i say synthetic cause on the real one you ended up crying cause of guilt

that was the ONLY time yeonjun was ever serious for science class - when he was comforting you

a few jokes later though, you’ll be laughing again cause of something stupid he did, ending up with both of you in detention

lets just say you weren’t teachers pet anymore after partnering with him

and yeah the teacher definitely regrets putting the two of you together but because you still get straight As on all the projects, she/he lets it be

would always save you in volleyball

but if you were an attacker? he would literally jump to the ball for you

you guys always find yourselves volunteering to stay behind for clean up just cause you wanted more time together

this would cause the whole class to start shipping you two though

very overprotective partner

like he would not spare a second telling the teacher to excuse you once he notices youre hurt somewhere

cheers the most for you when the girls play volleyball

look, taehyun is usually very diligent and punctual for projects, but once he found out you were his partner? all that goes out the window

when you guys first sat together to work on the project? he took literally the whole class period just introducing himself

and the next time you guys were given class time to work on it, he’d ask all about you for the whole period??

and he wasn’t like very talkative and just talks the whole time, he was a great listener which made you end up talking a lot too!

because taehyun was such a perfect student, the teacher didn’t bother scolding you two for not working on the project, she/he believed in him

but then come the pressure

two days left until the due date and literally all you guys did was go out for ice cream and watch movies at his place

once he notices that you were slightly quiet the next time you guys meet to ‘work on the project’ though, he would immediately get it and would go to work

lowkey does an all nighter so he can finish the project early and spend even more time hanging out w you

so the next day all is well (despite the bags in his eyes)

you guys would get an A+ on the project and he’d still hang out with you whenever he had the free time

even though the two of you were supposed to be working together, you two would drive the teacher crazy cause of how you would always try to one up each other

non stop bickering every. single. class.

outside class though, nobody expected that the two of you were super close friends

((they only found out once you guys were caught skipping class together))

and despite all the annoying competitiveness between the two of you, you guys always made the best projects

like literally you guys would be fighting minutes before a presentation but as soon as you two start the harmonization was just out of this world

this is why your teacher won’t separate the two of you despite all the bickering

you guys also fought whenever somebody asks for advice from the two of you too

“I’m telling you the bass rift should be AFTER the hook!” he’d just slit his eyes and point you with a disgusted face to whoever was the poor student that asked

“And if you were an intellectual you’d know it would blend better BEFORE the hook.” this earns him a big slap on the thigh after

class is also very EERILY quiet when on of you is absent, and the one left in class gets very antisocial so even if you two were such a pain in the as*

your classmates would rather that you two were pains in the as* together
