Bungo Stray Dogs - Season 3 A Commentary as Unhinged as the Anime but you know what, i'm not even sorry, the anime made me this way
-dazai had bandages on his face when he was in port mafia, and took them off when he joined the agency. what if by the end of the story he lets go of all the bandages, being his "naked" self. what then.
-dude, chuuya is so powerful
-smol dazai
-i'd expect nothing less from a dazai-chuuya first meeting
-15-year-old dazai is so subdued compared to present dazai. good thing miyano mamoru is a pro at that kind of nuance
-like, present dazai's default expression is :3. 15-year-old's dazai's is :<
-chuuya's fight scenes are sooo cool
-THEY'RE PLAYING ARCADE GAMES?!?! I HATE YOU!
-inside of me there are two wolves. one who appreciates bungo stray dogs, and one who goes insane for dazai/chuuya. but but, being with chuuya is the most animated young!dazai has been!!
-"the suicidal maniac wants to live" fits dazai to a T, chuuya gets it. and "i've come to think it's worth trying," dazai my love
-i will never get tired of chuuya yelling dazai's name, and also HANDS! THEY CLASPED HANDS! and things make sense! mostly! the naughty movie is behind us! (or in front of us production-wise, but. y'know.)
-so if chuuya is a vessel, does that mean he materialized as arahabaki's teenage human vessel?
-NO! THE SHEEP FUCKING STABBED CHUUYA?! i am so gullible, i was like, "oh, soul-searching, they're not that bad after all," but FUCKING STABBED?!
-YEAH YOU RUBBED RAT POISON LIKE THE RAT YOU ARE, YOU SHEEP JERK! YOU MADE CHUUYA CRY, YOU ASSHOLE! HE DIDN'T BETRAY YOU AND HE WOULDN'T BETRAY YOU, ugh i hate them.
-dazai perching on a rock, as one does
-to say that dazai is big-brained is an understatement. one wonders how insanely big-brained ranpo is, even, if dazai ISN’T their genius detective (well, dazai’s more of a tactician, isn’t he)
-the creation of artificial ability users by combining abilities with normal beings, that sounds like it'll be important at some point
-i'm actually smiling that chuuya found a place that he feels like he fits in, with the port mafia.
-dazai has so much fun riling up chuuya, i can't. i've loved this arc of dazai going from resigned, disconnected and detached to the whimsical maniac that we know now, and from suicidal maniac to suicidal maniac searching for reasons to live, and i loved getting to know chuuya's past and how they met and ugh, okay.
-ONLY A DIAMOND CAN POLISH ANOTHER DIAMOND, GUH
-HELLO daisuke ono! i've been expecting you.
-"people are quick to believe they are thinking of their own will," too true.
-wait, so what is fyodor's ability?
-bsd scares me a little, 'cause it's so whimsical and fun, that when it gets dark, you're completely unguarded
-i don't trust dazai as far as i can throw him, and also, i trust him implicitly. how is that possible?
-i will slap your pretty face, dazai, stop being so cryptic and tell us what's what! (re: the masked assassin)
-i love the tidbits of how much ranpo cares for the boss, because they should have a special relationship if the agency was founded specifically to make use of ranpo's skills.
-DAZAI IS IN SURGERY?! i hate him and his stupid plans, i hate this man, i hate him.
-oh i'm sorry master mastermind dazai, did you not predict that all hell would break loose after you got shot and incapacitated trying to find information on fyodor THAT YOU CLEARLY ALREADY SUSPECTED i hate you
-i'm so angry at dazai, but i don't think i'd be angry at all if he'd been fixed by akiko or patched himself up. it's specifically when he was shown mid-surgery that i got so incredibly angry, which leads me to believe that i feel like that because shit got real and i love him too much to see him involved in that kind of reality. the introspection of emotional responses is a hard-learned lesson from aot, tyvm.
-the agency vs port mafia makes me so sad.
-for that you got stabbed! to get the "a certain criminal" hint that eventually helped ranpo figure things out! sigh dazai, i hate you. i love you.
-how is kunikida so intact after the grenade blast?
-what a great moment for tanizaki to shine
-"we only know how to protect people by hurting people." ha.
-AHAHA RAMPO TRAPPING CHUUYA IN POE'S NOVEL, I YELLED OUT LOUD "OH NO!" that's great
-THE RACCOON
-i'm convinced dazai is in the hospital because there simply wouldn't be any conflict if he were up and about
-DAZAI-AKUTAGAWA PAST CRUMBLES?!
-i love the relationships in this anime, i love them so much. akutagawa fighting kyoka AND being happy for kyoka for not wanting to die anymore and finding reason to live, because he’s been there. they're so human and complex
-HE LIVES! HE SPEAKS! HE IS ALLOWED! (dazai)
-the fact that dazai has bandages over his arms etc in the hospital. how. the IV is on the bandages.
-the ex-assassins/ex-criminals to non-assassins/non-criminals ratio of the agency gets more even with every season
-the anime: 12 years ago, in ambiance lighting. me, a hsr player: ...have they been hit by quantum or...?
-HE SPEAKS AGAIN! DAZAI IS ALLOWED TO EXIST! REJOICE!
-ahaha is natsume-sensei mii-chan?!
-"ability: i am a cat" ahahaha! i don't know how that relates to the author, i wish i did, but out of context it's funny
-man i love bungo stray dogs. it's preposterous, it's absurd, i love it
-dazai and his stray kids. he was like, "welp, i've had enough of this hospital, BYEEEE"
-the problem is, the moment i hear dazai's voice i smile. he could be reading the dictionary and i'd still smile.
-dazai: jump. atsushi, his actual kouhai: but... but… akutagawa, ex-kouhai, present enemy-ish: how far?
-"of course dazai-san would vanish and leave you behind!" FREAKING OUCH ATSUSHI! he's not wrong though. dazai is a tactician, akutagawa fighting the enemy that's in front of him instead of the actual target is a liability
-"anyone who questions dazai falls into a cognitive prison." agreed, akutagawa. agreed, signed, experienced
-YEAH GEE WHY WOULD DAZAI EVER PAIR YOU TWO I WONDER! NOT BECAUSE YOU'RE ONE OF THE STRONGEST DUOS OF THE 'VERSE OF ANYTHING! (akutagawa and atsushi)
-this season's eps are so packed with story that i feel like i've been watching three dozen eps instead of twelve
-OOOOH dazai was mistaken, NICE
-you know, usually i'd be like "hrrrrm, they can do that all of a sudden? they hadn't shown this ability before it became convenient to have it, humph," but in this case i'm like "HECK YEAH THERE'S MORE THINGS THEY CAN DO, JUST WATCH!"
-oh that's so cool, the baby strays' combined abilities in atsushi
-imagine being pushkin and facing off against the agency and port mafia combined, lmao bye
-FYODOR ISN'T THERE AND HE'S COMMUNICATING THROUGH MUSIC?! THAT'S SO STUPID HE'S SUCH A MASTERMIND OMG
-NO! dazai colluded with fitzgerald?? AHAHAHAHA this anime is insane, the allegiances are so fluid, i love it
-DAY, NIGHT AND TWILIGHT COLLABORATING
-again, i love that the major antagonists don't die and they're recurring or potentially recurring
-lmao what, someone save our boy chuuya from the damn book!
-aw atsushi my love, you're not incompatible with akutagawa, you're complementary
-ATSUSHI WENT FOR THE KILL with the condition of not killing on akutagawa, and also i absolutely love it
-oooh, atsushi reminds dazai of oda?? with akutagawa being past dazai-ish? i see i see, so just like oda taught dazai the strength in not killing, atsushi means to teach that to akutagawa, and dazai can see and understand and appreciate it because he's been there, that's beautiful
-it’s sweet how it alternates between - good guy natsume fostered the sworn enemies/best partners mori-boss duo, antagonist mori fostered the dazai-chuuya duo, and good guy dazai fosters the atsushi-akutagawa duo.
-i'd love a glimpse of chuuya going insane inside the book, we were robbed
-anyway so i love season three. probably?  that's the feeling i'm left with.

Hello. I saw your post about giving recommendations of skk fics and I seriously love them! Thank you ❤️ Is it okay to ask you if you know any skk fics that are complete multi-chapter? I had been trying to search them but I most see one shots and abandoned multi-chapters.
Hello hello anon-chan!!! thank you so very much about your comment!! It means a lot! :) Mmm… I jnow what you mean! I have a lot of favorite fics that are uncompleted! But let’s have some fate that they will be upload! 💪💪
Here some soukoku multi-chapter fics!
i won’t lie (i knew you belonged here) by mountainlaurels:
(AU/9 chpts) this one is my very first fic and the one that actually got me inyo skk. the writer has done a great great job bringing you to their wolrd. here we are on modern setting but abilities are still on. Chuuya works at a flower shop and Dazai at the cafe across the street.  their interctions are slow and natural. you cant help but ship them. the other bsd characters are all in and they are treated respectifully and well done as if they are the mains. i really like the story and how it grows to the finale.its well writen and the feelings are overwhelming! this has a spanish translation from the writer.
Intoxicated by setosdarkness:
(AU/21 chpts) a really really great fic! nothing less from setosdarkness! definatly read her other works that are currently on-going. they are awesome and cinematic-like. really welldone and well-written. the plot is a bit tricky but it keeps you on edge. you get into the characters and when you will finish it, you will be suprized. its a mafia!AU and everyone plays. its a well build game. you are gonna love it. there is also smut in it, but its part of the game too. the hole thing is a game that you cant helped it but fell willingly into it and you will be satisfied with it.
Find Something Worth Dying For (And Learn How to Live) by kibasix:
(17 chpts) read the name of the writer.. no thats it. thats my analysis. KIBASIX! we are talking about one of the best writers, in my opinion. I cant even explain how perfect this fic is! this fic here?! I cried my eyes out! i was waiting the next chapter like kids wait Santa. simply immersive. it was an absolutely agonized journey. it was like a dance between the feels and the rightness of their world. its chapter was more majestic than the last and the next was more painful than the last. the writer’s words get imprinted in your heart and mind and you cant help but want to read more, feel more, see more. it has a cinematic feel. it starts from the very beginning and we see skk relationship how it evolved and how it suttered  like you are seeing it live. a sad poem in a form of a fic. the characters are practically singing their emotions out, only to be ignored by their life. and yet the fate laughs at them as she entangle them together. I can talk for hours how they write each of the character like a living being, forgeting none, and how they give each one a right place and the spotlight they deserve! an amazing work that leaves you full and empty in the same time. this one has a smak 4 chpts sequel “
Sparks Like A Match (Burns Like A Wildfire)
“ and another sequel that is yet to come (I believe in you kibasix-sama!). also check their other works, both multi and one-shot!
Noir by Adargo:
(20 chpts) another gem. another feel train. noir is the color of skk and this fic is the sorry song of their lives. a corrupted fic that leaves you craving for more. here we read with the shadow of Corruption on our back and the characters live under it.  its one of the character lives under their own corruption and try to get out only to have an odd feeling at the end. it could be more chpts or only this this and the feeling will be the same. we never leave corruption, just learn to live with it in this noir world. although I would love to see more, when you finish it you can only mutter a “wow” and then never live properly again. rips your heart out and fixs it momentaly to rip it again later. you live and breath with the characters and in the end you breath a new air, a better one for me. this epitomy of angst heals you so amazingly. as the characters go a step foward you take one too and from then one your heart has a different weight. a truly and without doubt exceptional work.
A Hearts Desire by Kaokita:
(AU/6 chpts) a beautiful fic. prostitute!Chuuya  opens to us a world that we see journalist!Dazai to bark in and challenge Chuuya in a “bet of felling in love".  a proud chuuya is always  present but here it compinate with a kinda impulsive chuuya, exposed to Dazai's hungry feeling for actual feels. here we are talking about the dark world of the underground were a no less dark but bright light (dazai) comes to shake the everyday life of our protagonist. its well written and well build. doesnt leave you with a complain and brings you to another world. really enjoyable to read. spoiler oda and chuuya having seeeeeex
 Forgettable Significance by Witheryvine:
(32 chpts) after the anime, the feels start.  if you thought that dancing with angst was easy, then you havent read this own. betreyal and love complicate each other and come to you to cry with them. a really interesting work and stunning. it is overwhelming but you want it to be. there are things that are needed to be said, words that have to come to the light and the writer not only do that perfectically but also gives you more to heal yourself  and breath.  it takes a lot to take back someone who meant the world for you and throw you away, yet! the writer  has done such a nice jod giving as the feelings, thoughts and fears that you cant help but be one with it. the style of writing helps the fic to encrave into you and honestly i havent see many write it so good.
You Won’t Lose Me (So Don’t Leave Me Behind) by hybridempress:
(14 chpts) now it will be a terrible mistake to leave this out!from bottom to the top its a must read. an emotional roller coster with the best of fluff. emotions well hidden are suddenly out. too fast changes leave you breathless and the characters have to take fast decisions, act fast and start to live from the zero. a phychological rebirth thats requares a lot of courage to abandon everything so you can chase after an old wild dream in a form of a man, new to you but as old as time to your heart. along with sequel of it  “
You Have a Heartbeat (You’re Real, You’re Here, You’re Human)
” by mostladylikeladythateverladied they create a perfectly must read at all cost fic that gives you the most satisfying feeling of “ah thats how it should be done”. skk are a complicate pair but the writers give them to you bare to see and feel with them to all your might. p.s. that amazing scenes with sskk at the sequel cured my heart!
Sorrow Already Spoiled by Soukokuhell:
(AU/16 chpts) an awesome fic is here once again. this AU is really well written and well build around two people  way too hurt, who find love and healing together. trying to move foward but with the past to hunt them down. love and fear are walking together here. the angst is getting healed by the characters emotions and the lovemaking is great! with each chapter the characters are getting healed and at the finale you get to breath again. the fluff is in the love and devotion they have for one another.
All Aboard by Asmicarus:
(8 chpts)an action fic with a lot of feels. chuuya is suffering again and dazai is an asshole but you can see that there is much more behind them. Dazai’s manipulating nature comes out to play and although it fools everyone, Chuuya manage to sutter it to the ground with a few words. the remark is 10000000% what we all need and what Dazai needs to hear. he pretends to be human but chuuya leave him naked to the bone. from here the story takes another turn to dazai realizing what is happening and what he needs and chuuya finaly decides to take what he deserve.
Silver and Shining by ShesAParadox:
(25 chpts) okay thats a fic that i havent read in a long time, but i remember it still in this day how good impression it left me.  the protagonist is fate and the puppets are skk, but not like any other fic. here there are a little things they can do.as their lives unfold and hardships are presented to them continuously, it becomes apparent that they are both the best and worst thing to have appeared in each other’s lives. the well written text  gives you piece by piece their thoughts and mind, fears and love from the first meeting  are amazingly describe and it leaves you complete. it  happends what it should happen.
Underwater by meupclose:
(11 chpts) one hell of a fic. here is hopeless chaise with mori as the hunter and dazai as the prey. chuuya is the ‘innocent’ love one of dazai who has been called to play the savior. oda feels rip you apart, every character battles with inner and out demons and dazai is having a crisis. yet! the writer never fails to right a complicated masterpiece where life and death are playing chess. the fluff and smut take the fic to another level as a celebration of life and mori is practically playing death himself. a foolish man who wants to be a god and dazai is the child here who is desperate to live. chuuya steals the spotlight and lead to the end. its an excellent work of a mad song with the most logical story in a world that rules are made to be broken.
from my prievious fic rec please read “own no doubt”, “shared gravity” and insomnia_productions.
Why most of them are angst-like I dont know and Im sorry dear anon-chan. Im terribly sorry! kinda..  nonetheless they are all amazing and you should read them!!!
thank you very much for your ask! I hope that my reccomendations were good and you enjoy reading them! Tell me what you think~~ have a wonderful day anon-chan!!!!bye bye :)

oh!!! oh!!! for the skk prompts (if you're still doing it) would you mind doing a "meet the fam" one if that's not too terribly difficult?
probably not exactly what you expected but this reminded me hardcore of Owe No Debt so i couldn’t resist writing one of the extra scenes that didn’t make it to the story.
warning for very vague references to abuse.
“I don’t care what Ace said,” Dazai drawled, looking over the boxes full of apples in front of him. “If he wants me to handle that mess he’ll have to take it up with Mori.”
The man next to him, one of Ace’s underlings—though slave might be the right word, considering the awful collar—whimpered pathetically. Dazai hadn’t paid much attention to his surroundings since getting to the marketplace, so he had no idea if he was even being watched. He technically didn’t have anything pressing to do for the day, and it had only taken one of Chuuya’s disgusted glances at how pale and sickly he knew he looked to decide that he might as well go out.
He’d been doing a lot of that lately, trying to make Chuuya’s opinion of him shift somehow, for better or worse. He couldn’t quite stop thinking about the way Chuuya had looked a few weeks ago, stepping into one of Akutagawa’s training sessions to carry a message and blanching, almost freezing at the sight of what they were doing.
Dazai frowned at the apple he was holding, dismissing the heavily annoyed glance that its seller was giving him. He didn’t think he’d been standing there that long, but obviously, he’d missed some time again.
“Please, Dazai-sama,” Ace’s man said once more.
It could’ve garnered some pity if Dazai had any pity left in him.
“No,” he replied. He handed money over to the vendor lazily, taking a bite of the apple. It was the sharp, acidic kind, the one he liked best. All the others were too sweet.
The man shot him one last dark glance. Dazai gave it back with a hollow smile.
Then he leaned into the handyman’s side a whispered, “Now get out of here before I kill you,” into his ear.
He didn’t have to repeat himself.
Dazai leaned against the back of the open truck. With its rows of colorful fruit, it looked a little like a great gutted beast, would have painted a gloomier picture if not for the rush of people walking in front of it. He ate the rest of the apple without tasting much of it, contenting himself with glancing over the boring faces around him. He amused himself for a moment by imagining each of them as human, as living creatures. His mind strained at the effort, though. He didn’t know anyone on this side of town, had come here precisely because of it—the fact that Ace had sent someone on his tail just to ask him to fix the entire drug bust mess he had made with the police two days ago irritated him.
Someone bumped into him from the side, and the apple fell from his hand.
“I’m sorry,” said a voice—a woman’s voice, he confirmed, meeting its owner’s eyes.
Something about them made the sick-sweet retort building on his lips halt.
“It’s nothing,” he replied, peering at her.
“Oh, I’m so—” she seemed to fret for a second, looking between his hands and the fallen apple—“let me buy you another, I’m so sorry—”
“Miss, it’s fine. I was almost done with it.”
He was used to people getting nervous around him, but never quite that way. The woman obviously wasn’t scared of him—the chance that she even knew him was so slim as to be nonexistent—but she looked like she was scared of something anyway. There was a nervousness to her that felt very familiar. As if she was ready to jump out of her own skin.
Dazai looked her over for a second longer. She could have been anywhere between forty and fifty years; short, black-haired, sporting that same slightly-disheveled long cut that all mothers seemed to have. Her face was very lovely. He couldn’t remember ever seeing her in his life.
Yet there was a nagging feeling at the back of his mind. A drag of old suspicion in his belly.
“Please let me buy you a new one,” she said, bowing lightly.
Well. It wasn’t as if Dazai had anything better to do.
He followed after her toward the side of the truck-shop. Its owner seemed about as unhappy to see him now as he had been the first time, though he smiled at the woman. Probably because she bought a whole lot of other things, on top of the apple.
Dazai took it from her with a whispered thank you, which she waved off nervously.
“Do you come here often, then?” he asked, when it looked as though she was ready to walk away from him.
He didn’t want to let her go before figuring out why she intrigued him.
The woman flicked a nervous glance to his face. Dazai could only thank coincidence that he hadn’t been injured there in a while; he was free of cuts or bruises, both eyes open to the light of day. He knew he looked younger than his height made him out to be—the women seemed to notice it as well, and something flickered over her face, aching brightly for a second, before she finally relaxed.
“I live just up the street,” she said. “Are you—not from around here?”
“I’m not. My name is Dazai, by the way.”
“Fuku,” she replied. She didn’t offer a last name. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Lovely to meet you too,” he muttered in answer.
He couldn’t stop looking at her face. The was something—the shape of her eyes, the structure of it… She withstood his scrutiny with good grace, though he could tell that she was growing uncomfortable by the second. It was understandable; she was a woman, shorter and frailer than him, standing here behind the thick of the market as he stared at her like a creep. And he had never been very good at making people feel anything but scared or angry in his presence anyway. Only Odasaku, Ango, and Chuuya ever viewed him as something worth more than fear and hatred.
“I’m sorry,” he let out, looking away at last. It cost him to have to ask, but he did it anyway. “Say—have we ever met somewhere before?”
“I don’t—I don’t think so,” Fuku replied. Her voice was faint.
“I could swear I’ve seen you somewhere.”
“I really don’t think so, Dazai-kun.” She added, “I think I would have remembered you.”
Most people did.
Still, that was disappointing. Dazai let his interest fade into boredom once more. It was out of habit and nothing more that he told her, “I must have seen you in a dream and wished to meet you again, then. You’re very beautiful.”
There was a second of silence; then Fuku snorted, something loud and entirely different than he would have expected out of a timid-looking person like her—he couldn’t help but look again as her lips lifted, as she replied, “You’re a little too young for me, boy. Even if I wasn’t married.”
Her smile wasn’t at all timid. It grew boyish on her, hesitant but frank, not at all the gentle curve of the mouth that he had waited for. It looked so out of place. It made her eyes thin and dimple. It twisted sideways, a little, as if she didn’t know how to do it more gently.
Dazai knew that smile.
“Married,” he repeated through a haze.
There was no way. There was no way. He had spent months looking back then, almost an entire year trying to figure it out, there was no way the answer had been sitting here this entire time—
“Do you have kids?” he asked, controlled, polite. As if he was making small talk and nothing more.
She had all of his active interest now.
Her smile faded naturally. So naturally that anyone less observant than him would have missed the old shadow in her eyes, would not have associated it to the hint of permanent sleeplessness that her makeup hid poorly. “I have two,” she replied.
“How old?”
Fuku’s mouth shook for a second.
“The youngest is only three,” she said eventually. “The oldest…”
Her struggle was too obvious for him not to make note of it. If he said nothing, it would become suspicious. “Oh,” he intoned, in what he hoped was a compassionate enough voice. “I’m sorry.”
He felt greedy.
She shook her head at him, immediately bothered by the thought of imposing on him. “No, I, I shouldn’t speak of it to a stranger—you’re so young.” Her words were soft as she said it. Her gaze struck with misery as it washed over him. “How old are you?”
“Seventeen,” he answered.
“Seventeen,” she repeated. Like the number was haunting her.
They fell silent for a moment. There was no way Dazai would let her go without prying every detail he could out of her and confirm what he already knew, giddy, at the hollow of his heart; but he couldn’t insist so obviously without startling her.
It was a surprise when she raised her head and asked, “Would you like to come over for tea?”
She sounded a little desperate, a little aloft with nostalgia. Loss was so strikingly present on her, grief breathing out of her every word, that it was a wonder she could speak without crying. That she could laugh at all. Her shoulder shook once as she awaited his answer. Dazai was so familiar with the gesture—made in nervousness or irritation or sometimes, the most wonderful times, embarrassment—that he had to restrain an outright grin.
“I would love to,” he said darkly.
She smiled at him again with a hopelessness made habit by the years; and in every line of her face, grieved and stubborn, Dazai saw Chuuya.

Living to Die - Part 11.5
[Beginning]
<< Previous | Next >>
_____, you haven't spoken a word to me since that fight and it's been days.
Can you at least come home? Where have you even been staying?
It heightened your ego to see those texts from Dazai. You had purposely been avoiding him out of sheer irritation. You even rented a couple hotels to stay at, cycling through them and messing with the security cameras to avoid him. You knew he knew your pattern and he'd catch on eventually, which is why it irked you even more that he hasn't bothered to look for you yet.
At the most recent executive meeting, Dazai had left a seat open for you, which you promptly took the chair and sat down on it across the table, refusing to acknowledge Dazai's presence. This alerted nearly everyone in the room of your awkward situation.
Now, it was the night of the dance. You were sitting in a limousine with Chuuya and you had on a dress that you knew would drive your lover insane. It was bright red, stopped right below your ass, and showed off your curves a little too perfectly.
"You know, if this little plan of ours fails and you just end up embarrassing yourself, this was entirely your plan and not mine."
You rolled your eyes. "Just shut up and hold my hand." You pushed the door open on Chuuya's side and he stepped out, extending his gloved hand for you to hold onto as you stepped out of the limo.
Your eyes immediately scanned the vicinity. Ozaki was giving you a strange look in which you just smiled at waved before mouthing "I'll explain later". Various members of the Port Mafia were mingling with the guests and then you spotted him.
Dazai Osamu was chatting up one of the guests. Although you regularly saw him dressed up, the sight of him still made your heart throb. You wanted nothing more than to just run into his arms, let yourself melt into his chest and pretend that none of this ever happened.
That is...until you saw the petite woman clinging onto his arm. Your heart now throbbed in pain and you scowled in jealousy, forcing yourself to look away, now filled with determination. You wrapped your arm around Chuuya's and began to walk forward, smirking when you noticed Dazai look over from the sidelines.
From what little you gathered from glancing at him, he was not expecting you to retaliate in this manner. But he immediately caught onto what you were trying to do and gave you a smirk before pulling that girl closer, causing you to fume up even more.
"You know, you really should have expected this. It is Dazai, after all. No matter how much you try, he always seems to one-up you..." Chuuya was speaking from past experience.
You grabbed a drink and spoke through a fake smile. "I don't even know why I came here." You sipped on your drink. "I'm sorry for the trouble."
Chuuya waved his hand. "It's fine - you were pretty drunk and adamant about it."
"If you knew that I was drunk then why'd you agree to it?!"
"Because you wouldn't shut up about it~" Chuuya teased you, fully prepared when you attempted to smack him on the head.
"Well...You agreed to it, so now you can't complain about it."
"What kind of fucked up logic is that?!"
You chuckled at him, temporarily forgetting your annoying situation.
After all, although Dazai was your lover, Chuuya was your best friend.
Dazai had glanced over to you from time to time now that you were fully engaged in a conversation with Chuuya. This was the first time he saw you two interacting, although he knew that you regularly went drinking with him. He'd never admit it, but those same exact feelings of jealousy that took over you was also stirring up in him.
"Dazai-sama?" The woman clinging onto his arm tugged a little, irritated by his lack of attention.
He looked over at her and began to speak, but found himself unable to find words. Or rather, it was like his heart wasn't letting him. He couldn't get your image out of his head. In fact, he even felt disgusted with himself for even having another girl on his arm.
Dazai Osamu was not one to be particular about things like that. If it gets the job done, then it's worth doing. But although this girl could be the key to opening up a lot of opportunities for the Port Mafia, he couldn't set aside his feelings for you. The lack of control drove him up the walls. He withdrew his arm and cleared his throat.
"Excuse me, I have something I need to do."
5...4...3...2...1...
Zero.
"And down the drain the mafia goes~ Along with them will go our woes~ Come out resentment in the form of excitement and blow my enemies away~!"
You were now thoroughly enjoying yourself at the party, not even noticing Dazai abandoning his date and walking towards you.
But before he could even get to you, there was a giant flash of light and all the lights within the building turned off.
"What the...?" you got up and looked around.
"Someone dares to attack the Mafia at our most important gathering?" Chuuya's scowl matched yours.
"Only the executives and Boss are here."
"There's a chance that it could just be a power outage, but..."
"I doubt it." You and Chuuya finished that sentence at the same time. You began to scan the area for intruders using your abilities, but as soon as you started to, the enemy showed themselves.
"I'd suggest you all get down~ This party's about to get fun!"
Gunshots rang in from the windows outside. They were expertly placed so that anyone that was hit wasn't immediately killed. Not wanting to reveal yourself as one of the executives, you knelt down and covered your head like the casual guests.
The enemy has some nerve attacking the top Port Mafia members...He has to have a trump card...I just need to figure out what that is...
He jumped down to the floor and pulled out a trigger.
A bomb?! As long as I can locate it, I can send an electromagnetic signal to disable-
"I know I know, you're probably all thinking: 'a bomb? We're the infamous and scary Port Mafia, we're not afraid of bombs!!!' But you're wrong," he chuckled darkly. "Ability: Seventh Sense"
He looks familiar...
"My ability allows me to detect the usage of abilities, including defensive ones. So if one of you decides to use it to attack me or dismantle the bomb, I'll push the trigger and we'll all go boom~"
If it was just you that was threatened, you wouldn't care. You could simply redirect the heat and impact from the explosion away from you. But there was a certain bandaged executive that your abilities couldn't protect because he nullifies abilities. Knowing him, he'd probably find a way to escape, but you couldn't risk it. If he got hurt because of your mistake, you'd never forgive yourself no matter how irritated you were at him at the moment. You had to be smart about this.
You sighed and then reached under your dress where you kept a pistol and a dagger for situations like this. When the moment came where the perpetrator looked slightly away from you, you immediately stood up and pulled the trigger, the bullet flying only a mere inch away from his head.
"That was a warning shot," you spoke.
He looked over at you, his eyes full of excitement, as if he just found the lost treasure on a deserted island.
"You..."
You grew increasingly uncomfortable with this situation. You figured that Mori or Dazai already called for backup, but any wrong move and the bomb would go off and you'd all be goners. "What do you want?" you asked. "What would make you so intent on destroying us that you'd stupidly barge into a room full of Port Mafia executives with a plan you have no way of surviving in?"
He started laughing at your question. "I know you...It's you!!!! I know what they call you...The Succubus of the Port Mafia."
"HAH?!" you yelled out in surprise. "When the hell did I get that nickname?!"
Honestly, I seduce someone for an assassination twice and I end up with that nickname...
"You killed him."
"?"
"My name is Takahashi Nao."
Takahashi...
You realized. He shared the same surname as your target from your last mission before you were promoted to an executive.
"Takahashi Eito was my father. And you killed him."
"..."
"Everyone told me that it was a suicide. But I knew. It took me months, but I finally tracked you down and now? You're all gonna die. Whether it be by this bomb or by the gunmen I have stationed outside, you will die. I don't care if I die with you as long as I take you down with me!"
You truly understood the boy in front of you. For so many years, revenge was the only thing on your mind. But now that the Port Mafia was your family, you couldn't let him have his way.
"The inability to look at things objectively equals the inability to be a leader," you spoke. "If you force your subordinates to go on a path to defeat purely for your emotional satisfaction, then you've failed as a leader. You're wrong. It's not us that's going to die. It's you. And that's purely because you failed as a leader. You're willing to sacrifice yourself and your subordinates in a poorly thought-out plan that even a child would have recognized as defeat-"
A gun shot out.
And soon after, the gunshots from outside resumed.
You were tackled to the floor as Takahashi Nao shot his gun at you as you were taunting him. The gunshots that were ringing outside were due to the Port Mafia reinforcements fighting against the armed men that Nao recruited.
You were disoriented from falling to the ground so suddenly, but when you saw the person that tackled you, your breath hitched.
"Dazai..."
The bandaged executive had his hands on either side of your head to hold himself up. "I want us to be official."
"?!?!?! What?!"
"I'm tired of running around and hiding, _____. I want everyone to know and I want you on my arm and-"
"THIS REALLY ISN'T THE BEST TIME TO BE DISCUSSING THIS, DAZAI!"
Although you were frustrated with him, you still pulled him down into a kiss. "But I'd love that," you whispered. "Now...Let's kick this asshole out of here."
Both of you smirked as you looked around at the chaos around you.
Both of you opened your mouths to speak.
"I love you."
"I love you."

Living to Die - Part 7
The amount of love you guys have been giving me through this series has actually pulled me out of a really bad depressive episode, so please understand why I’m so happy and grateful that you guys are here. If you guys ever want to talk, feel free to shoot me a message through my personal~
Dazai’s absent in this part, but we get more Chuuya action!
[Beginning]
<< Previous | Next >>
"I'm going to kill him!"
You collapsed into the stool next to Nakahara Chuuya at the local bar and placed your head on the wooden surface.
Chuuya chuckled and slid you a drink. "What'd that idiot do now?"
"Be an idiot," your muffled voice spoke. You rose your head and downed a shot. "He's just annoying and stupid and obnoxious and stupid and cocky and-"
"Stupid?" Chuuya finished your sentence with that signature smirk of his.
"Not you too!" you yelled out in frustration.
"Sorry, sorry~ But you brought it upon yourself, (y/n)."
"I know, I know..."
There was a pause.
"Why are you blushing?" Chuuya asked, noticing your reddening face as you thought about the events of the past 24 hours.
"WHAT?! I'm not-!!" you fumbled and quickly looked away from your friend. "...blushing."
"Did something happen?"
Yes.
"No."
"Oh c'mon, you're not even trying to convince me. What did that idiot do?"
Almost made me give into him.
"Nothing."
Chuuya sighed, knowing that if you weren't going to talk, you weren't. So he changed the subject.
"So, now that you have entered the world of executives..."
You turned back and looked at him. "I'm an executive, now?”
"Well, you passed the exam and to be honest, as soon as Boss found out Dazai's decision to keep one of the strongest ability users of that facility, he immediately wanted you as an executive."
"Then what were all those tests for?! Did I really have to strip in front of that pervert for nothing?!" you yelled, not even realizing that you just revealed an embarrassing story.
"Oh~" Chuuya began teasing you.
"Sh-Shut up!" you yelled, smacking Chuuya in the arm before burying your face in your hands.
"Hey, I'm not here to judge how you choose to complete your missions."
You put your hands down and glared at the red-head. "But you're judging."
"Not~"
You squinted your eyes at him. "I would've thought that Boss would've been more angry with Dazai for disobeying, since you know...His original order was to kill me."
"He was at first, but Dazai being Dazai was able to convince him otherwise. Not to mention that he always had a soft spot for that damned Dazai," Chuuya said through grit teeth.
"Does he now?"
"Unfortunately. But we put you through those tests to make sure that you were loyal and to see the full extent of your abilities."
"..."
They have a point. It was only through participating in those tests that I was able to get close to the members here. If it weren't for those, I would've just left at the first available opportunity.
"So I'm an executive, now?"
He nodded. "Dazai should give you the details tomorrow morning, since he's technically your superior. But from what I've heard in the last executive meeting, you'll be filling in the spot we were originally saving for Akutagawa."
"Leader of the Black Lizard?"
"Yeah, that's part of it. You'll be responsible for training the members for the Black Lizard. You'll work closely with Hirotsu-san, but ultimately, you'll be in charge."
You didn't know how you felt about this sudden promotion. Sure, you were glad that you'd have some leadership position, but....
Akutagawa-kun already hates me enough since out of all of Dazai's subordinates, he favorited me. Akutagawa has always wanted Dazai's approval to no avail and Dazai's insistent flirting with me probably doesn't help. And now I'm going to take his spot? Not to mention that his ability clashes with mine and if I piss him off enough, I'm not even sure if I can win a fight against him.
"You don't seem particularly happy about it."
Chuuya pulled you out from your thoughts.
"I am! Although a bit upset about not being able to celebrate because of my abilities..."
You sighed. You knew that you shouldn't complain about your automatic healing since it allows you to suffer more injuries in combat, but indulging in alcohol once in a while didn't seem that bad.
Chuuya's signature smirk reappeared on his face. He plopped a bottle with a ribbon tied on the top down next to you. You squinted your eyes at him.
"What's this? One of your annoyingly expensive wines?"
"Hah? No, those aren't worth giving away, even to you. This is something I got my subordinates to dig up. Should give you a kick even with your condition."
"..."
"Oh c'mon, don't give me that look. It took me forever to find it, don't tell me it was a waste of time."
"It's not that...It's just..." you looked away, a bit embarrassed.
"Just what?"
"Because of my condition...I..."
"You..?"
"...I've never drank before...Technically."
Chuuya's smirk returned as if he was anticipating this response.
"Well, that, (y/n), is why I'm here! I was thinking that you'd need this after spending the entire day with Dazai and considering the fact that you barged in here immediately ranting about him, I was right~."
You looked back at him and placed your hand on the bottle.
"Let's get this party started, shall we?"
