Sometimes being an artist is feeling like a baker seeing a chemist making the deadliest liquid in the world and wishing you could make the deadliest liquid as well but you're a baker, not a chemist, and then you feel like your bread is worthless

Question about Frank! What is his fighting style? I know you mentioned he does hand on hand, but does he do any specific form of martial arts?? Or is it just kind of the basic, punching, kicking, ect. Also, does he have some form of magic, or is he basically like Howdy? (I'm just imagining they all play like.. actual table top DnD and Frank is getting irritated because his rolls are garbage-)
i'm not nearly well versed enough in martial arts to name styles or blend them - though i feel a "i need to know everything i can about this" fixation creeping up... so i might be able to provide a better answer later!
but for now lets just say he's adapted his own stylized form, blended from his childhood training, what he learns on the streets, and what he picks up on his travels / figures out himself. i imagine it would be an efficient, ruthless, and elegant personal style of combat
Frank has no magic! if he rolled for it he'd somehow get a 0! he and Howdy are the only magicless maidens of the group

I also think some of the most intense samcrits and deancrits HAVE to be only children because why can't you recognize harmless sibling ribbing?

something feels so wrong to me about making fun of sam smith’s performances. cracking jokes about the choreo, how they look doing the choreo, comparing their performances to mcdonald’s countdowns. when a lot of it... is the same shit so many other artists get praised for (harry styles being one of them).
like... what’s this really about? because it sure as fuck isn’t about their actual vocal talent or their musical talent because y’all really seemed to LOOVEE their music when you couldn’t see them.
is it actually about the “energy” of the performance? or the choreo? or is it maybe the fact that you’re made uncomfortable by the fact that after they took time off to recover, they look different from how they did before? is it maybe because you don’t like seeing people with body diversity be so comfortable in their skin, singing songs about sexual promiscuity, unless it fits your image of what is “acceptable” body diversity?
is it really the choreo that you don’t like? the costumes? or is it maybe their entire existence in the spotlight as someone you deem to be “other”?

one of my favorite tf2 headcanons is that spy isn't french at all. he's a new yorker. he's canadian. or english, actually. guy was born in a swagless place and realized he would never be seen as the mysterious and enchanting smoothtalker he was aiming to be with his natural accent and birth cultural baggage so he fabricated all of his agent persona with a nationality that would compliment it. there's no one alive that knows the truth, he made sure of it.

I think one of the things that most helped me chill out and not worry about people behaving in ways I both do not understand and can’t control is finally leaving for college. Looking back, it’s no wonder I was so combative in this vaguely “hall monitor way” during high school. It sucks growing up in an environment where if you don’t know exactly how to tailor your behavior and hide parts of who you are, shit gets bad. I was constantly surveilling my own behavior so I didn’t get harassed by my dad (who also had no control over his life in the sense he was too depressed to hold down a job for long). Just a constant diet of meanness and cynicism for the brain. So when I see stuff online that’s a bunch of (unhappy) gay teens being shitty and policing each other over pointless community in-drama, I feel like that particular personal history I have is one of the biggest “it gets so much better for you one day, I promise, and a lot of the b.s. you’re going through right now is coming from other teens who are profoundly messed up in a similar way — though that doesn’t excuse it” I can offer.

hc that neil gets a pair of fingerless gloves for the cooler weather (probably from nicky, as his fox family continues to add to his wardrobe). he’s in love with these gloves because his particularly scarred knuckles are sensitive to the cold and can be covered, while keeping mobility and sensitivity while gripping his stick. spring rolls around and he doesn’t want to take them off. andrew doesn’t fight it, knowing how stubborn neil is, but gets him additional pairs so at least they won’t start to stink
