✨Update on the staff!✨

I've sanded the stick and painted the pipes that will be at the ends.

I mixed metalic golden glitter and paint to make it look super pretty and shiny :3

I also started painting the stick, and i tried covering up the holes of the wood with some sort of "wood glue?" That i tried to make. Not sure if it's going to work though- If not, i'll just try to cover the holes with hot glue.

And i also added a bit of the red paint to the mixture, that way i think It will harden the glue better and won't come off when i have to sand It

Trust the process-

I won't bother with the tip cause it's gonna be covered by the pipe anyways, but It kinda bugs me that a part will be uneven. No one will see It BUT I'LL KNOW IT'S THERE >:(

And im not exacly sure how i'll glue the pipes to the stick, or even if i'll need to, but i'll figure It out.

Im waiting for the wood glue to dry so i can try sand It and finish painting the stick.

It’s the prsk only anon. Oh yeah I did see there was an anime! I just have to make time for that lol. But I was thinking you could make it easier for other people like me who aren’t familiar with both yet. Can you explain or summarize what the similarities and differences are between prsk and Bandori stories?

biggest difference you had in early bandori and early prsk is that the event stories in bandori feel way more 'one shot' like than prsk. the character development still happen and the past events are still referenced ofc but in comparison the events Suffice in themselves. best Counter example with prsk is the first leoneed arc from unit story to resonating with you. all the events specifically build up to this etc. currently i feel like the tendency is actually being reversed on both sides which is nice to see !!

bandori also got a WIDE cast of characters. 45 whole girlies to enjoy. so you are Bound to find one that you enjoy following in their story and character development. also each group got their Own specific visuals and Type as one does in that genre. theres a Lot of cross bands friendships and connections that are so so fun to follow thru and also nice to see how it impacts the story

bandori actually now got 10 girlies in college ! we had a huge pre graduation arc that touched onto all the subjects that what graduation Mean to those characters. some were excited. some were so so scared (imai lisa <3). and now the stories do take into account that change. as well as the fact that a LOT of other girls are now in their last year of highschool. which is not something that prsk has touched upon yet so it feels nice to see !!

i think that prsk often made a name for itself for having 'heavier' themes and writing but as someone who has read a fair share of both that both share the same tone and type of writing while being very distinct from each other. maybe that bandori is a bit more Subtexty in its heavier themes earlier on but they exist and are actually very much portrayed in the mygo anime and in more events going forward.

now that we got the big broad strokes of the Writing and story. the Actual goal of those two franchises. music. which is both so so great

while all of bandori music is made with 'it must sounds like a band is actually playing it' in mind (compared to prsk units who are Less limited by that in some way) All the bands have a Very distinctive sounds and genre of band music. no matter which band you love the most you will Always want to check what the others are doing and it wont feel repetitive in the slightest

prsk is SO good to make you discover producers, their style of music and their discography. which is so great to me who never got to deep dive into vocaloid music until i got into prsk. bandoris music will often have the same ppl working on it (unless mygo and avemuji who got Separated music production which is Great) so it doesnt have that kind of reach

i will say it. it is FUN to compare when both franchise got covers in common when ppl Arent being disingenuous about the quality of each (prsk violently shaking you to fix your mixing on some covers PLEASE) and to see why and how they both make it work !!!

LIVE PERFORMANCES. both got their own brand performances ofc. prsk more in line with what vocaloid concerts are like. adore seeing them. but ooh bandori. the whole goal of the franchise was to put on concerts and by god they succeeded. 6 out of the 9 bands got live concerts fully performed by the seiyuu. and it is SO so great to see them progress when you know that a GOOD bunch of them picked up their instruments just for that role. cant recommend to watch bandori concerts enough. if anything.

i will stop there for now but those are my personal important points !!!

Ehi, there is something I wanna ask about your "Monarchy Restoration", now that Dream is back to George's side (in the future), what it means for Dream's alliance with Technoblade? Is the Syndicate going to be a problem in the future? And, what about The Plan? Is Dream going to follow his plan anyway?

I do want to tackle both of these at some point, hopefully by the end of the year (at least one of them anyways)

his alliance with Techno is strained to begin with - much like in canon, Techno told him to hand the armour back and get lost, so we can't exactly speak of close allyship or regular cooperation. that being said, there is no hostility between the two either, and I really want to do a comic where Techno comes investigate Kinoko Kingdom and their activities (rivalsduo banter included) - it's why I did the concept art of MR!Techno a couple months back to begin with, I was working out some stuff around their meeting at the time

Techno's visit might be prompted by Niki who's a neighbour to Kinoko (which would mean I have to design Niki for this AU and the mere idea excites me) and there might be a comic about a syndicate meeting? it would certainly be an interesting one to draw, though straying a bit from following just the Dream Team, which is who the AU is centered around. maybe I could just do a singular painting and give it some flavour text lmao

as of some spoilers: Techno promises to stay out of the way as long as Dream promises to behave and keep an eye out on George and his kingly ambitions. for now they're chill though and Techno makes sure to tell Dream that he's proud that he finally got himself a house

as of The Plan! that will be tackled only way, Way later. for now Dream needs to recover, and despite what he wants to do, George and especially Sapnap are keeping a close eye on him so he can't do much until he wins them over, or until he figures out how to remove them (which is a lot easier said than done. the dethronement was already difficult.) the end result, though, will be George and Sapnap teaming up with Dream and Punz and things get put in motion, with a few adjustments to accomodate for the very particular relationship each member of the dream team has with DXD - that is, Sapnap revealing the death book, and George is far from free of XD's influence (which, again, needs a bit more screentime)

given that Punz's introduction won the comic polls, this part of the story should be introduced soon, though it will come in multiple parts and might drag a little bit

and well, all things said are tightly tied to Dream restoring George's kingship, which is something you can look forward to, too :)

Ahhh thank you for asking!!! Let me gush! My favorites are indigo and d-day, and I have such a hard time choosing between these two. I find I still listen to these regularly, like they have never left my rotation. I love them both as full albums too but I find I pull songs off of indigo to listen to a bit more than I do with d-day, whereas I listen to d-day as a complete album more. Which is reflected in my Spotify wrapped where agust d was my second top artist and rm was my fourth, but still life was my top song and all day was my fifth, and no d-day songs made the top 5

I’m also a massive fan of layover though, taehyung’s musical style just fits what I love so well. And I loved face and I’m having a moment with it currently where I’m falling in love with it all over again. I still think “alright, I guess the blame is on me” is one of the best opening lines to ever exist. Jack in the box is also a masterpiece and I still want an equal sign tattoo to go along with my piece of peace one. Golden’s strengths for me were the performances, jk is just an absolute star and I love seeing him own a stage

Lastly! I am SO excited to see what Jin does when he comes back. I am just so beyond interested in seeing what a full album by him sounds like. I have always connected a lot with his solo songs on bts albums so I’m KEEN. Like, I have an epiphany tattoo for a reason, ya know?

It's nice to see projects like these. i know growing up bilingual has given me privileges and advantages to subcultures that people could only dream of, connecting to one's history, their identity and self-discovery much more, and/or finding new things about the world through a new lens, so Quackity planning and doing something like this that encourages that aspect in people, provide joy and motivation to cross that cultural divide in both english and spanish communities, in a time of so much hostility and othering... this is such a beautiful gift.

emily wilson out here translating the iliad and i am once again wishing i knew how to read and translate ancient greek

It's been graduation season, which means a lot of family events happened in the past couple weeks where I ended up sitting by myself for a little while. Needless to say I've had a lot of doodle time, so I've been putting the tiny notebook I drag around everywhere to use...
