When the Preeminent was finally submerged, something... Strange... Happened. All of the remaining ghosts collapsed to the floor at the same time. Every single one of them. Lloyd watched, confused as Morro fell.

He should probably... Do something? Right?

He walked over to the ghost, cautiously.

He instinctively reached out to roll Morro over, but his hand faded through the ghost's body.

Luckily- or unluckily, depending on how you looked at it- the ghost stirred after only a few awkward moments of stillness.

Morro rolled over, blinking and confused. Lloyd's green eyes met Morro's brown for only a second before jerking away, searching for anywhere else to look other than the eyes of his-

Wait.

Morro's eyes were green.

Why are they brown now?

Unless...

"Where... Am I?" The ghost asked slowly.

What.

"You are in Stixx, Morro. You know, the place where you literally released a giant tentacle monster and then tried to curse the entire realm? That place?"

Lloyd looked back at Morro. The ghost looked like you had just told him his grandma died and then killed his puppy.

"You... Do remember doing that, right?"

Morro shook his head no.

"Do you remember possessing me? Breaking into Cloud Kingdom? Stealing the armour?"

"I don't- Cloud Kingdom? What? Why would i-"

"GET THE FU- FRICK AWAY FROM MY BROTHER YOU JERK!"

Lloyd almost didn't have time to react as Nya started throwing water blasts at the ghost. Almost. He jumped in front of her, getting absolutely drenched in water but not letting any past him.

"Nya stop! I'm fine! I don't think he's a threat right now."

Nya paused at his words "The bi- JERK- that jerk fricking kidnapped you, Lloyd! How could you say he's not a threat?!"

"He doesn't even remember who I am, Nya! I don't think he remembers anything from after he died!"

"Okay, um... Thanks for like... Saving me or whatever that was, but can I PLEASE have some more fucking context about... Whatever is going on here? Why is Blondie wearing that? And who are you? I thought Maya was the master of water."

"SEE?! He doesn't even know where we are. And if you look, his eyes are BROWN now."

Nya let the ball of water that she was preparing fall to the floor. "What?"

"My eyes have always been brown, Blondie. Unless they haven't? This doesn't look like those caves. Or the cursed realm. Where did you say we are again?"

"Stixx. You escaped the cursed realm, kidnapped Lloyd, and freed the preeminent. Do you seriously not remember that?"

"Freed the who? That giant octopus wanna-be? Gross, why would I do that? That thing's ugly as fuck. Also you never answered my question about Maya."

The two ninja just stared at Morro in shock, before looking at each other.

"Okay, so... Chances of... That... Being some sort of mind control?" Nya asked.

"Pretty high. My scan, along with interviews from the other remaining spirits, suggest that none of them remember anything after arriving in the cursed realm the first time." Came a voice from behind, speaking as hesitantly as a nindroid could.

"Okay... So... What now?"

"I say we gather the remaining ghosts and... I don't know, put them in a deep stone cell until we figure out what to do next. Zane, do you think you could get the others started on that? But have W- have Sensei come to us. I think he will want to talk to a certain... Someone."

"I am right here, green bean. How long was I fucking gone? Is that actually the green gi, or is it just some copy? I died, so clearly it wasn't supposed to be me... Was I gone long enough for Wu to find the real green ninja? How long did it take for him to replace me?"

Before Lloyd could answer, Morro froze.

"Morro?" Asked the old man, standing at the entrance of the alley.

"Umm... Hi... Dad... It's been a while, hasn't it? Or... Not that long if these two were telling the truth... Did I really... Do all that?"

Wu ran to the ghost faster than he had ever seen his uncle run before.

"Morro... Is it- is it really you?"

"Were you expecting someone else?" Morro joked nervously.

"When you- At the tea shop, I had hoped that- That wasn't you right? Please tell me that wasn't really you."

"What tea shop? The last thing I remember is showing up in some ugly ass green ribcage and yelling at some bitch, and the next thing I know I'm here."

"Language," Nya said. "There are children in the room- er- alley."

"Okay, well I don't know how long I was gone, but last I checked I was 14, so does it really fucking matter if I swear around children?"

That seemed to cause everyone in the alley to pause.

"You were 14?"

"You're telling me I got kidnapped by a child who is YOUNGER THAN ME?!"

"But... You left the monastery only 3 months before your 15'th birthday... How long were you out there before..."

"As far as I'm concerned, the last time I saw you was when I walked down those stairs a month and a half ago."

"Morro... That was 40 YEARS ago... You left the monastery 40 years ago."

Ik people talk about the tragedy of the Spinjitzu family, but i mostly see it focused on Lloyd and Garmadon which isnt bad, but also you’re sleeping on the tragedy for Wu and the FSM.

FSM -> Was a dragoni child raised in constant war who had to choose between family. Probably was a child soldier himself if we’re being real honest. Chose none of them and ran away. Idk how you come out of that w/o trust issues.

Hell, the trust issues was implied with Nineko and the way he doesn’t tell his sons much. Why would he? To do that he needs to tell them about his past, which means trauma dumping on his kids. He’s emotionally constipated. Can’t say it but does love his sons and the land he created. He fights to defend it and despite his past, longs for a world where he doesn’t have to fight anymore. Longs for peace.

However, his eldest son is hit with a poison he can’t cure (probably due to the overlord’s interference now that i’m looking back on it.) but he does his best to find what he thinks may work. He helps him through his episodes and tells his sons where he thinks the cure may be. But it still ends in disaster.

Wu -> Raised with high expectations. Probably under a lot of stress to keep up. I’m thinking gifted child/burn out. Loved his father, looked up to him but unintentionally copies his father’s unhealthy coping mechanisms because he thinks his father is the best. Doesnt realise his father probably struggled with his own internal issues with trauma. Did therapy exist 1000 years ago? Probably not.

Anyway, he watches his brother fall victim to a poison and blames himself for it (ignoring the fact he was what. 9???) Makes a lot of mistakes (Aspheera) but tries his best to fit into the mould of expectations.

Probably represses a lot of emotions. Anyway, he goes on to watch his brother descend into darkness (watches him go for chen at some point) and fights along side him for ninjago until suddenly he’s fighting alone against his brother after his friends in the elemental alliance slowly leave.

He falls in love, but shes also someone his brother loves. His brother marries her and he tries to move on. He raises Morro until morro leaves.

At this point, he’s lost his brother, father, friends and now a boy he raised. Then he gets a nephew only to find said nephew has to fight his father.

ninjago mlp au lets gooo

Lloyd is a prince, son of a pony, Queen Misako, and a changeling, Kind Garmadon. Misako is a queen in one of the kingdoms while Garmadon was a ruler of the whole land. Was, until he chose to come back to the kingdom of changelings (to which he was the rightful ruler after his mother's passing) and support his kind while epidemic started as more and more changelings were becoming corrupted.

but he had no way to know he was too late already, and there wasn't much he could do. and the worse was that his little family, fiancé and baby son followed with him.

Misako couldn't risk her family also getting corrupt. she wouldn't be affected herself, but Garmadon for sure could and she didn't know how about Lloyd, as he was only half changeling. Garmadon refused to come back, so Misako took their son and left, raising him in the kingdom her parents left in her hooves.

Garmadon got infected himself, he couldn't come back. not to his family nor to the palace where his little brother was. he didn't know, but even if he could come back no matter of his state, ponies would banish him. he was accused of feeding on the love Misako had to him, and as arguments about whether he should be their ruler or not went down, everypony decided. changeling like him cannot be trusted.

Prince Wu, a pony, became new king. but he never let anyone refer to him as a "king" as the real king was somewhere else. the crown wasn't his, it was Garmadon's.

years passed, Wu took in a student (Morro) and everything seemed to be finally going into right way. but a word about Garmadon's returning got spread.

Wu saw it as an opportunity to get his brother back, so he created team of total dummies: earth ponies- Kai and Cole, unicorn- Jay, pegasi- Zane, half pony/half mermaid- Nya, and his nephew- Luh Loyd

unfortunately, during their adventure of rescuing or defeating Garmadon (they didn't know themselves what should thay do with him) Lloyd and Kai got attacked and both bitten by corrupted changelings. Kai's wound quickly healed, but Lloyd got corrupted.

Looking in our future

Summary: (season 5) In the labyrinth, everyone is watching their future. But Jay didn't expect his future to be like that because instead of his love being by his side... He saw her brother...

...Then i saw my reflection in the ice wall. But i was different... I was older i guess. Was that the future me? I looked somewhere around my 60s or something. I liked my older self. I still looked good. Oh, and i had an eye patch! Awesome! What happened in my eye though? And since when i decided to have beard? It looked good on me but still... Beard? What happened to me?

Then the vision changed a little. A black figure stood by my side. It wasn't very clear at the beginning but soon i saw the face of that person. It was Nya. How? We broke up. Will we end up together in the future? She told me that it was never going to happen and when Nya says something, she means it. Maybe this wasn't my real future but just my dreams for it.

The vision changed again. I expected to see myself, Nya, kids and our house or something like that. I definitely didn't expect what i actually saw. Nya wasn't in the vision anymore. I was alone again until another black figure appeared. The shape looked different, it couldn't possibly be Nya. This time it was... Kai! What was Kai doing in my vision? He looked older too and tired of life's problems but still happy. His bright smile was still there. His beautiful, green eyes were shining so bright... (Wtf am i thinking about my teammate?) When my future self noticed him, he fell in his arms and smiled.

I was staring at the vision, confused, until i saw something that turned my confusion into fear. Kai's future self kissed mine! He really... We might... Us together?! My heart (deep inside) didn't hate the thought of me ending up with Kai instead of Nya and that was scaring me even more. He was my best friend! My teammate and my ex's brother! This couldn't be true... No... But, what if it was?

I turned around to look at Kai only to catch him looking at me already. He was shaking and looked as shocked as i was. We probably saw the same thing. He couldn't say a word and neither could i. There were so many things to discuss after this. I mean, what if it was indeed our future? Did Kai want something like this in his life? And what if the labyrinth was just messing with our minds? So many questions... Man, this was gonna be awkward... Imagine next time I'm alone with Kai. I won't survive that...

I didn't have more time to think about it. Morro found us... But that doesn't mean i will forget what i saw any time soon. And i think Kai won't forget either.

Oh god I just finished Book 2 and it was so bad… I went into this with an open mind just like I did with Book 1 and god did I hate this. Clem just annoyed the hell out of me for the entire book. I liked everyone BUT her, Ricca and Morro. And I don’t even hate Morro she just showed up randomly to say weird ominous shit and then went to do her walker autopsies. Idk… it just sucked so hard. I miss Amos.

I've reread it and I'm working on my review so I won't go into a whole spiel but yeah. I mean, I still think I like Book Two over Book One... until we get to chapter 7. It has the same problem as Book One where the ending is just bad.

Clementine still feels out of character when you compare her to game Clementine, but she's consistent with Book One Clementine. I get what her character's supposed to be and why she's going through these things, why she approaches things the way she does but it makes it hard to enjoy when you have context from the games. I've already seen Clementine grow up and face hardships in the apocalypse, and the games have the advantage of showing all that across four games whereas this series only gets three books, so we don't have time to waste, y'know?

But Morro was the biggest wasted opportunity, like... what a disappointment. When I read it the first time, I was giving my first reactions in chat with Pi and we were both like, "So it's gonna be revealed that Morro's actually doing science experiments on walkers, right?" but no.... she's literally just doing autopsies like c'mon, walker science experiments and abominations would've been amazing!

And Ricca... honestly, I like the idea of Ricca because let's be real, a lot of us wear glasses or contacts or have some sort of vision impairment, myself included, and a zombie apocalypse would suck! If my glasses broke and I had no means of getting a new pair and it's the zombie apocalypse, I'm dead. And Book One set up this interesting story where Ricca's brother was an abuser who purposely broke her glasses so that she had no choice but to rely on him, then when she finally found pair that worked, she left him. But now her eyesight is worsening, and that's scary, that's something I could sympathize with...... but it's almost treated like an inconvenience? Because her and Clementine's relationship is the emotional drama that takes stage and frankly, I don't like clemricca. Not just because it's not clouis. I went into it with an open mind wanting to ship it but... meh.

I don't like how Ricca's like, "I'll wait for you," and then later she gets butthurt because Clementine won't get on the same level as her fast enough. Clementine doesn't owe Ricca anything, y'know? But Ricca is like "I love you, and I know you love me too, but I need you to love me always, not start and stop. It's not fair, you want me to wait for the impossible!?" Stop trying to guilt her when she's clearly not ready for a relationship? I get the frustration but c'mon.

And then there's chapter 9 which... I'm honestly this close to losing my shit with people. I don't think I've ever been as disappointed or disgusted of the fandom than I have seeing people send threats to Tillie on her instagram over chapter 9. She posted about how Book Two released AND she gave birth to her son on Oct 4th, and you go to the comments and there are just people calling her a pedophile and writing threats-

On a post. From Tillie. About the birth of her son. What the hell is wrong with you???

And then there are people just straight up LYING about shit.

I read a comment on reddit where someone compared Clementine Book Two to 50 Shades of Grey because there's an explicit sex scene and uhm NO??? There's absolutely nothing explicit, Ricca is not like Christian Grey like?? What the fuck is wrong with you? It's like these people read the summaries on the wiki- WHICH BY THE WAY if any of you happen to see this screenshot circulating anywhere-

Please don't mindlessly believe people on the internet about shit, especially when they themselves haven't actually read it.

Anyway, it's like people read the wiki summaries and decided to spread false and exaggerated information about the comic because they want to paint it in the worst light possible to trick people and it's working and I'm so...UGH.

Sorry to nosedive into this but it pisses me off. There's a lot to discuss about chapter 9- shit, there's a lot of criticism to be had with Book Two, and I will go over everything in my review, but for right now I'll just say yep, Book Two isn't very good.

I miss Amos, too.

just saw your post on the pixie hollow ninjago au- what’s that about? looks cool

First of all: thank you so much for sending in an ask- I’m so hyped!

Second of all: oh boy is this a trip.

Ok so, the Showvverse is the mainland and the movieverse is Neverland/Pixie Hollow. Things in the showverse are as they normally are, but in the movieverse…

That’s where the lore begins.

So to start: the first of the Dorksquad (movie ninja) to arrive in Pixie Hollow was Green (M!Lloyd), but, before a fast flying talent (Morro) could get to his dandelion, it ended up being singed by a dragon (M!Garmadon). So, Green arrives at the Pixie Dust tree with draconic features, which leads to him being feared and shunned by even his own talent guild (healing talent). Although, he did figure out he has a second, secret talent…

But that’s a story for another day.

Next came the twins, Red and Cyan (M!Kai and M!Nya), two fairies born of the same laugh, fire-weaving and water talents respectively. They’re pretty much the only two to actually actively be willing to hang out with Green, and even declare him as their brother. However, this leads to an… incident where Red’s eye is scarred, his wing is torn, and he’s thrown in a lake. Cyan, ever the loyal sibling, ends up needing to rip off her own wings to dive in and save her brother, an incident that leaves them both mentally and physically scarred.

After the twins, White (M!Zane) joined the group. He’s an ice talent fairy created by his father, Dr. Julian, for the purpose of being able to travel between the Winter Woods and the other three seasons without any physical consequence in order to visit his Papa, Whint. He immediately clicks with the other three and they before long, they’re all friends.

Then, one night, rumors of someone breaking into the mill and stealing pixie dust break out. Green is the immediate top suspect and, to clear his name, the four friends set out to find the real culprit. This effort leads them to Blue (M!Jay), a fairy with abnormally large wings who mysteriously never had an arrival ceremony, and no knowledge of his talent or name. They take him to a dust keeper, Dimitri, and have their own mini-arrival for him, giving him the name “Jay” for the fact his wings are as large as a bluejay. They also come to the conclusion, with the help of Morro, that Blue is a fast flying fairy, the fastest there in in fact.

But they never could figure out why his touch corrupts pixie dust.

Last but not least, Blue got his first (and only) dandelion to guide, one that became Black (M!Cole), a music talent fairy. His story commands no fanfare, but he does quickly befriend the others, thus forming the Dorksquad.

Now, after all that- ONTO THE ACTUAL PLOT:

OK SO FULL DISCLOSURE THIS IS AN AU BASED ON SAME PEOPLE, BUT NOT REALLY SO WE’RE STARTING THERE-

As it goes, Smith (S!Kai) is kidnapped, S!Garm makes his wish on the Megaweapon to send Smith away to somewhere he can’t interfere with his plans… the basic SPBNR premise.

But, this time, Smith wakes up in an open field , with grass much taller that it should be, as well as being in a whole new outfit and…

Wings?

Yeah, he’s in for a rough time, especially when the other fairies he meets have the same names has him and his friends.

Owl baby 💖💖💖

Jun is quite a smart four year old. She can already read pretty well and loves fun facts! It's common to hear her say "Fun fact! (Insert fun fact here)." She loves owls, and has a large owl plushie (that's kinda goofy looking, which is why she chose it) named Hoohoo.

She was born shortly before the Serpentine War to Misako and Wu. She was premature, meaning her parents had to give her a lot of care, driving an early wedge between her and Morro, who was terrified his parents wouldn't want him anymore, now that they had a "real" kid.

That didn't last long, though, and Jun thinks her big brother is the coolest person ever and loves spending time with him. He's about ten years older than her.

She asks Misako so many questions about. Everything. Mostly history and her trips. She likes to join Wu for tea, but doesn't like tea. So he pours her apple juice into a teacup. Morro enjoys having someone to show off his powers to. The two siblings fly kites with each other.

She of course loves her uncle Garmadon too but I haven't thought too much about things they could do together...

Hm mind telling me more about Griffin, Shade, Neuro and Karlof in this au? Pretty please?

KARLOF: Trans man, homosexual and homoromantic. He's the youngest of three boys and his family runs an autobody shop in Metalonia. Karlof's brothers were closer to each other than him so he was often kinda the black sheep. He moved to Ninjago City to pursue higher education and that's where he met Chen. After discovering his powers, Karlof has jumped the ranks and become the secret favourite of his parents, which he's not a big fan of. He is an amazing cook and constantly trying to feed his team more because he thinks they're all too skinny. His English isn't the best, but he's working on it and he and Neuro teach each other languages. Karlof takes on the leadership role well and without complaint, or at least that's what he says. While he is smarter than he looks, he also has a bit of a temper and definitely is a "strike first, ask questions later" guy, which has landed him in hot water in the past. He is very, very loyal to a fault; you mess with any of the ninja, you mess with him. And you don't wanna mess with him. At the start of the AU, he is the oldest at 20.

GRIFFIN: Pansexual and aromantic. He's never met his father. His mother was a teenager when she gave birth to him after a one night stand and left him to be raised by his grandfather. So Griffin grew up thinking his grandfather was his real dad and his mother was his older sister. It ended up causing a whole issue when he found out. He met Chen while wandering around the city after graduating high school. He didn't really have anything better to do, so he became a ninja. Griffin definitely has undiagnosed ADHD, which caused him a lot of problems in school. He turning to sports as an outlet, his favourite of which was track and field, so he's a star runner. His mind is constantly going at a mile a minute and he has a bit of a tendency to ramble but nobody really minds because he's so passionate about his hobbies that it's kinda cool. He's got a lot of insecurities about not fitting in at school and being the different kid, but he likes to hide them behind his cool guy persona. He's the joker of the bunch and doesn't really take anything seriously at first, but gradually he matures and proves to be an ultimate team player. At the start of the AU, he is 18.

NOTE: Neuro and Shade's sections have been placed under the cut because they content info that may be triggering to some readers.

NEURO: Sex-repulsed asexual and aromantic. His parents were high school sweethearts but his mother was really toxic so his father, Mahiro, fled with an infant Neuro. he met an old ally from the Serpentine War, Kage, and the two fell in love and had a son. However, Mahiro suddenly went missing after the boat he was on suddenly was lost in a storm and since Kage had never officially adopted Neuro, he was sent back to live with his biological mother. Neuro was never physically harmed, but his mother was neglectful and emotionally abusive, often belittling and insulting him. Neuro took to schooling as a means of escaping her and moved from Ignacia to Ninjago City to study, where he met Chen. Neuro is very quiet and composed, a hard shell to crack. He takes pride in his intellect, and gets frustrated very easily when he comes across something he can't fix with his natural abilities. He loves learning and can easily get lost in books or documentaries for hours, having a secret pleasure for fantasy that he'd never admit out loud. Gradually, he learns to be more open and that it's okay to express his interests and enjoyment in things. He is surprisingly protective of Shade and later Morro, which stems from the guilt of not being able to save Mahiro. At the start of the AU, he is 20, just a few months younger than Karlof.

SHADE: The biological son of Mahiro and Kage, but his father disappeared before he was born and Kage raised him in the slums of Ninjago City as a single mother working multiple jobs to keep them afloat. Kage died when Shade was 14 and he was sent to foster care for a while, but the horrid conditions and abuse led to him running away and living on the streets, turning to petty theft and working with gangs in order to survive. He runs into Chen after getting caught stealing a few wallets and after being made to return the wallets, Chen invites him to be a ninja. Shade's entire life is defined by survival and doing what he can to make it from one day to the next. He gets easily defensive or turns to flight as a coping mechanism, and has habits of keeping a knife hidden on his person and hoarding food. Once he realizes he is safe and that he isn't going anywhere, he turns out to be a formidable fighter and learns to look on the bright side of life instead of always being enrobed in misery. He and Neuro are really close to each other (before they learn they're related) and often share secrets, such as the fact they both have poliosis. At the start of the AU, he is the youngest of the four at 17 (but both Skylor and Morro are younger than him).

It doesn't even matter if Lloyd got aged up at all, everyone who's watched the starting seasons know damn well that Lloyd is the youngest and most traumatized of the group.

He knows that his age doesn't make sense. By all accounts he knows he's not supposed to be an adult, that's because of the timeline and tea shit. Through the timeline rewrite, any means of relationship is a issue the moment the ship possibility manifests cause every person Lloyd is known to be shipped with older than him (the Ninja and Akita), his enemies/abusers (Morro and Harumi), or related to him in some way (MORRO AND HARUMI).

Okay now for the other half.

According to the logic of "Lloyd and his ninja have a family bond so it's wrong to ship them together", NONE of the ninja should be shipped with each other.

See Jaya for the most on the nose example. From the very beginning Jay and Nya were pushed as a couple. The only straight marketable couple of the whole series until S3. And then Cole got thrown in as a red herring love interest for Nya, and that didn't end with anything serious.

Nya wasn't even a Ninja at first, sure, but she is now. She has an entire arc of her being forced to become the Water Ninja all because of Wu.

Put a pin in this.

Found family is a tricky line. And by assessing your knowledge of Ninjago, you are already well aware that a majority of the fandom now are open about shipping the Ninja with each other.

And in Found Family, there is always the possibility of Romance, Rivalry, Loss, and Role Shifts.

In the entire series, Found Family is treated two ways.

The first is the group finding a safe place for all of them to live with each other without exclusion or ridicule.

The only exceptions are to the S3 finale and into S4 as the Ninja disown each other due to the heavy loss of Zane, with Lloyd trying hard to reunite the only real family he's had in the past 3 years; Only to reunite when given the clue that Zane is alive on Chen's Island.

S6, when Jay is ostracized from the group for inadvertently causing more problems for them when stopping Nadakhan.

The most recent season, Crystalized, where the group again disbands due to Nya's death and again reunite to disconnect Nya from her element. And Nya is Jay's girlfriend/fiancé/wife for fucks sake! The most obvious example of the Romance in Found Family!

So I'm gonna say it now. The pin is being pulled out and I am dropping it into the ocean of complaints.

Wu.

The second meaning of Found Family is the insinuation from Wu that the OG4 were pushed to call each other Brothers since the very beginning.

And every time the Ninja enforce the Brothers title, it's due to Wu enforcing it first.

It is one literal word Wu imposed on the Ninja from day one and it has been an issue for not only them, but to Nya as well. She felt excluded and created the Samurai X persona, only for Wu to say "Nope you got elemental powers, you're everyone's sister now" while ignoring (for good reason) that Jay and her did and now have a romantic interest in each other.

And then Lloyd had this issue too because the Big Brothers were dicks to him at first and started the domino effect that resulted in the Great Devourer being released. When Lloyd was taken in, he wasn't even treated as family until Kai got his head out of his ass and Lloyd was revealed to be the Green Ninja of prophecy.

Seeing how fucked up the OG4 and Nya were by the time Lloyd was added to the Ninja team, do you see how Lloyd would immediately latch onto the older teens as his family? To finally have a group of people who only tolerated him before to become caring and kind all because he was the one person standing between saving Ninjago and utter destruction? Do you see how fucked up Lloyd's love and dependency on the team is now? And you think all because "he's an adult now" makes any relationship with the Ninja okay???

No!!! He should absolutely not be with any of them!!!

And have you looked at the fandom?

You must have; I have, I have seen every possible angle of the relationships between the Ninja and the push for romance has never been so painfully obvious.

And it's all because they throw the fucking Brother title out the window. Even those who acknowledge the Brother title all come to an agreement that it's only in place because of Wu- and the writing staff trying to avoid any gay censoring in the start but can you blame them? It was 2011. Cole came out to his dad as a ninja. A fucking ninja.

Everywhere else in the series, most Ninja see each other as Family without specific roles. And that is the point.

Kai sees Jay as his Brother because of Nya and Jay being together.

Jay and Cole are Rivals and Best Friends.

Lloyd and Kai see each other as Brothers.

Roles are not set in stone in this group dynamic. But Brotherhood is enforced by Wu.

I'm working on what will hopefully be a oneshot [laugh track] about a Ninjago royalty AU.

The King of Shintaro hosts the royals of the surrounding kingdoms at his palace to celebrate years and years of peace. Midway through the festivities, Morro shows up, proclaiming to be Prince of the Cursed Realm, with an alive body to prove it (…though the Preeminent kind of just slapped it together, so it's very fragile and only kept alive by the Preeminent sending him magic ghost energy or whatever every night). After the initial chaos, King Vangelis agrees to host him as well. (Wu is feeling shrimp emotions about this.)

Kalmaar realizes that Morro is the master of wind and has that connection to Wojira, so he orders Benthomaar to befriend him and get what information he can out of him. Benthomaar does this! This leads to Morro becoming friends with Vania as well, since Benthomaar was already friends with her.

Morro is only there on order of the Preeminent, obviously, and has his own mission to fulfill, but he starts to like Benthomaar and Vania, and feels more and more guilty about the possibility of turning on them, even if he has no other choice–if he betrays the Preeminent, she stops giving him the energy his body runs on, and he dies and goes back to the Cursed Realm. Even so, it feels more and more like a sacrifice he's willing to make.

Benthomaar is feeling incredibly guilty about "pretending" to be friends with Morro and Vania on orders of his brother, and he isn't sure how long he can keep hiding it from them. He likes them both and wants to be real friends with them, but he can't do that if he's lying about his motives.

Then Vania hits them with, "Hey, my dad has literal slaves under the mountain, I need help to overthrow him. You guys in?"

…and everything goes to shit.

Ninjago au where: Not Garmadon but Sensei Wu was bitten by Great Devourer.

Basicly both brothers stays with they own powers (Garmadon with power of Destruction and Wu with power of Creation), they just swapped roles.

So, in here, Lord Wu got bitten by GD, studied under Master Chen, signed love letter that Garmadon wrote for Misako, is Lloyd's father and in general, does what Garmadon was doing in the series. Not a lot of changes on this part.

But i wouldn't be myself if i didn't change anything in lore.

Garmadon is ninjas' sensei, trains them and stuff, mostly does everything like Wu (he's just forgetting to tell them something... sometimes...) but he didn't made Morro think that he is a Green Ninja. Honestly, Garmadon doesn't believe that Green Ninja is a real thing, so he only looks for elemental masters that want and can protect Ninjago from evil and most important from his brother. He's really surprise when Kai suggest that Lloyd is a Green Ninja but just accepted it. Morro wasn't that happy but Lloyd is his cousin that he care about, so he just stands by protecting him.

Oh, yeah. The most important thing, GARMADON DOESN'T FLIRT WITH SOMEONE'S WIFE. He got over it after Wu and Misako's wedding. The end, he doesn't love her, I don't care. (Also he does know that Wu signed his letter. At first he wanted to tear his brother in half, but just gave up. Honestly, if Misako doesn't see differences between their handwriting and way they express themselves, she also might not see differences in who's bed she is. Garmadon definitively doesn't need that.)

My favorite ninja are Cole, Lloyd (comfort character) & Kai (who I've dubbed 'Mineral Brothers'), though I also like Morro loads as well as Pixal as Samurai X, Akita is my favorite side character and Sora is my favorite from the new ninja

I've seen Ninjago (Pilots→DR s2pt1 + dotd & tlnm), Dreamzzz & Monkie Kid but no other Lego show as of now

My favorite ships are (in no particular order): Holly (Lloyd x Akita), Lava (Kai x Cole) & Sandstorm (Morro x Cole). I also sometimes like to look at other ships, mainly Gemstone (Plundar x Cole), Destiny (Kai x Morro) & Samurai (Pixal x Nya) but I'm not nearly as interested in them as the other 3. I'm not that serious about shipping tbh

Au where Kai just, dosen`t tell anyone that lloyd is the green ninja, because he wants him to have a childhood

okay so this is probably meant to be a serious-ish au, but all I'm seeing is the crack possibilities such as

Kai making sure Lloyd is never in the presence of all the weapons, but like to a ridiculous degree

Kai also making sure Lloyd maintains a good relationship with his dad, mostly through letters and such, so that if the secret does get out neither will want to fight

Convincing Wu to start training Lloyd but at a reasonable amount where he can still go out and mess around like a kid

Kai maybe even sending some of his own letters to try and peacefully resolve the issue

Kai also continuing to squabble with the others about who the Green Ninja is, but the whole time he’s terrified someone will figure it out

when Lloyd’s powers inevitably come in nobody making the connection of Lloyd being the Green Ninja despite the fact his powers are literally green

And the funniest part is I can see Kai keeping up this charade for a long time. Like, almost the whole series long time

And even better is how it will impact the series as a whole.

S2 wouldn’t even happen

S3 sort of happens only this time not as crazy with the tech, no Overlord messing with the tech, and no Zane Death. Maybe sometime after a later adventure Zane gives part of his Core to Pixal, only he doesn’t just take out half and finds a way so he can still function perfectly fine without it.

ToE would be hilarious, especially with Kai being so protective of Lloyd during the matches and the other EMs being concerned why a literal child is here

Morro would also be a mix of funny and the barest amount of plot. This time around Kai would be sent to deal with the break in and then get possessed, but when Morro’s in his head and says he wants to be the Green Ninja Kai is like “oh actually? awesome, sure you can have it” and Morro’s just like “.....what?”

Where the tiniest amount of plot could come in would be if Morro could see Kai’s memories he’d learn that Kai knows Lloyd was the actual Green Ninja, either he would go and try to fight him, much to everyone’s confusion. the only good part is that since the Ninja are always together whenever Morro proclaims he’s here to fight the Green Ninja so none of them know he’s talking specifically about Lloyd.

OR Kai would be able to convince him to keep it secret and quiet, saying that no one would really question him being the Green Ninja since the title was never officially claimed yet. The worst that would happen that way would be the other ninja fighting him for the title, which he agrees is better than them trying to kill/defeat him. Kai would also probably adopt him as another little brother(despite Morro being a lot older than he is, which he’s constantly griping about(he loves it but would never say that out loud)

or maybe a combination of both since I’m a sucker for Big Bro Kai

SoG would be....interesting, since I’m pretty sure Lloyd is around the same age as Harumi(so about 15), and would then be a teenager at this point. I’m debating what exactly her exact goal would be this time around since Garmadon isn’t dead, so probably just trying to get in his favor.

She decides the best way to do that would be to kill the ninja. But it doesn't stop there, her plan also includes turning Lloyd to the side of evil through some....less than consensual methods.

Now, Garmadon has no real issues with that first part. He’s been trying to do that for literally years. That second one? No way, not on your life.

My reasoning for that is because while he does want Lloyd to join him on the dark side, he wants Lloyd to chose that, not be forced to by getting corrupted like he was so long ago

So once again the ninja and Garmadon team up to save Lloyd.

And then they(-Nya and Morro if he’s here, +Tiny Wu and Garmadon) get sent to the First Realm :D

Lloyd has a very bad time since he is The One To Catch and can’t even leave the base. The rebellion is still headed by Lloyd this time, but it’s less because of anyone pushing him more He Really Wants His Family Back And No One Seems To Have Any Idea Of What We Need To Do So I Guess I’ll Do It Myself

Meanwhile in the First Realm they’re having....a time.

Garmadon does not have a fun time with either Dragons and Hunters, but he does grow to tolerate the ninja a bit more, and he actually gets along with Kai this time around, partially thanks to the letters they exchanged and sharing stories about Lloyd.

They find their way back, defeat Harumi, only this time she’s able to escape and is now responsible for summoning the Overlord.

Yay.

Stone army gets released, evacuation happens, and they set out across the ocean. I’m also just going to have Misako just. Not exist in this universe. I don’t really see her fitting in this turn of events so yeah she’s just gone. Maybe she died on an expedition and they ask another museum person about the giant warrior but yeah. Besides it would give away the secret too soon

Anyway, the sail and do find the lighthouse, only unfortunately Dr.Julien is now dead, which hits Zane pretty hard, but they do find Echo this time and decide to bring him along. Zane has a fun time teaching his little brother.

They reach the island, start trying to find the temple, BUT I'm making a change

This is because as we saw in both S2 and 5, the ninja’s power’s are reliant on Lloyd. Now, because I want them to actually have powers before this, they’re going to start developing theirs around the same time as Lloyd started developing his. How this ties in to the need for the temple is that they will need to give up their own powers so Lloyd can unlock the Golden Power, however they’re still get the element swords

Once they reach the temple, they all notice how there’s spots for all four of the elements, as well as a spot for the supposed Green Ninja, which confuses them since “isn’t one of us supposed to be the Green Ninja???”

They start arguing, especially Kai and Morro who’re having a silent argument, before Morro finally snaps and is like “It’s because he’s the Green Ninja!”

Now finally, finally, Lloyd’s destiny is revealed, with a lot of mixed reactions from everyone.

The ninja are shocked beyond belief and just a little bit salty Kai kept this from them

Wu is a little mad Kai kept this secret and also wondering how he missed it

Garmadon is shocked and a little horrified he was going to have to fight his son, but also a little greatful Kai kept it a secret, and also now understands why he was trying to make relations more amiable

And Lloyd.

Lloyd is left absolutely reeling.

But they don’t really have time for this right now, so they do the thing, fight the warriors, head back to their base and then Lloyd has his breakdown

He runs off and when Kai goes to comfort him he asks how long he knew, to which Kai says “since the volcano” and then starts to explain that he did it so Lloyd could still have his childhood. They eventually make up, start getting used to using swords instead of their regular powers and unfortunately Nya still gets captured.

They go to confront the Overlord and Harumi but Canon Still Happens, only this time there is no Garmadon Fighting For Control and Lloyd still get beat.

But they comfort him and Kai brings up how “You may be the savior of the world, but that doesn’t mean you have to do it alone” and together they start heading back to the main land

And yeah, from there canon goes as normal, only they’re that much happier when Garmadon gets healed since Lloyd doesn't;t have to fight his dad anymore :DDD

ULTRA LONG TIME TWIN HEADCANNONS

-Krux perceives time slower than others so he is easily late to events (plus he gets distracted and way into projects so he can easily lose track of time, ironically) so he could end up missing a lot of Elemental Alliance meetings

-Acronix made sure he informed Krux it was time to go (whenever he remembers, anyway) otherwise he’d be uber late all the time. Good thing they always go together

-Acronix is super early all the time because of his powers and he and Griffon Turner’s grandfather got along really well

-All the same, between lack of attention span, focusing on other things, and not caring for the meetings in general, Krux and Acronix miss a LOT of meetings

-Before alliance meetings Wu is training little Morro and the Twins and the Master of Speed just waltz in the monastery doors an hour early

-Acronix teaches Morro some sick fighting moves (some rather underhanded)

-Krux advises him to never let people get away with harm cause you are the most important thing in your life. (Revenge!)

-Wu be like plz stop encouraging my kid into violence and dishonorable tactics.

-Krux brought refreshments to an EA party exactly once. It was pickled beet tea and nobody liked it. He took it very personally.

-Back during the war, the love triangle with Misako was actually a love rectangle. Krux had a crush on her too but he literally had no idea how to act on it so his part of the rectangle was staring at her longingly from afar and not saying anything.

-Yes Acronix teased him immensely about this. And tried to act as a wingman several times but Krux swore if he did he would murder him

-Pre-series, Misako would do work for the museum a lot, so she ended up working with Sanders Saunders quite often. Despite her relationship to Wu and Garmadon and their “history”, he did like working with her ok

-They both also worked with the Explorer’s Club a lot, and have equal disdain for Cecil Putnam and Clutch Powers

-Krux hates Cecil’s stuffy rules (even though he couldn’t show it while being Dr Saunders) and Clutch’s….everything

-Krux’s doctorate is real, and he has a doctorate in History and and Master’s degree in Museum Studies

-He’s the Curator of History at the museum, and the other curator is the curator of natural sciences

-Acronix is a big nicknames guy. He doesn’t usually call people by their actual names. Only the people he actually cares about or that he super hates.

-But he also generally despises nicknames given TO him. The only people allowed to call him Nix/Nixie are his brother and mother (and later Shannon).

-Krux only calls Acronix "Nix" if he's feeling particularly vulnerable/scared/etc (so like, when being the older twin isn't feeling that fun and he decides to ignore those 3 minutes and be more like the "younger" twin.) So this becomes a lot less as he becomes more arrogant.

-(Based on how he describes Dareth getting beat up by the Vermillion warrior) Krux likes watching wrestling. It’s a guilty pleasure of his

-And of course Acronix loves it once he learns about it, so the two watch it together

-Krux occasionally plays strategy board games. He tried to get Acronix into them but he found them boring.

-(Sometimes he’ll suck it up and play with him anyway, though.)

-Both are sass masters

-Both also like science

-But like completely different facets of science.

-Krux of course likes the more stable and earthy sciences. Biology and geology, ecology. Those elemental science that have always existed but we just haven’t yet understood them

-Krux is also a total history nerd. Things like paleontology and anthropology are also really interesting to him

-Yes he was a dinosaur kid. (Especially since dinosaurs had just started to be discovered back in his day.)

-Acronix of course likes advancement and the otherworldly sciences. Technology, Astronomy. Sure we build upon the discoveries of the past but what about creating something new for the future?

-Acronix does like bioengeneering since it is a new advancement but he knows saying so would make Krux grin with “I told you bio was cool” vibes

-Krux can engulf himself into his work or his schemes for days. As he is very patient.

-Acronix is less so. He sees time constantly moving forward so sitting idle to “Plan” seems a ridiculous waste of time.

-He jumps from activities quickly as the novelty of it wears off and he is always on a quest for what's new and what may work, not really what has been confirmed to work

-Krux of course sees this as a fool's errand. We need to respect the knowledge we have and use it and plan with it.

-But when they are in sync you should be SCARED

-Both thinking in the Present can make them in perfect harmony, Both in fighting and talking.

-Their different planning methods can help eachother get things done. So yes, when they work together you should be scared

-Krux can get really fixated on an idea, and get into major creative blocks. Acronix helps propose out of the box solutions that keep his ideas moving forwards that he wouldn’t have thought of himself.

-But as we see they can also be reeeeallly different and fight over the miniscule things.

-Krux lingers on Grudges easily as he physically cannot not put value to the events of the past.

-Acronix’s main grudge with the alliance came from his ego and arrogance, not his element. I think he feels very internally about wrongs to him in the moment but if he sees nothing really changed a couple of days later he loses interest in holding such a grudge easily

-Each of them have the ability to not be affected by the other’s powers

-Acronix has no patience to listen to anything he doesn’t want to hear. Back when he had his powers he COULD and WOULD just “skip” peoples’ dialogue if he got bored of it.

-Krux has a bad habit of “freezing” people if he feels like they’re interrupting him. Like, he will freeze people who are trying to get him to stop working on something while he’s trying to get something done, and then get back to them when he feels like it. Everyone has to work on his time. (Annoyingly, this does not affect his brother, which is why Acronix is the only one who can actually get him to stop working on his projects.)

-Whenever Krux & Acronix would hang out with Chen, Acronix loved messing with Clouse. Clouse reminds him of his brother, but even more stuffy and annoyed somehow, so he just has an instinctual urge to annoy him as much as possible.

-(Clouse does not appreciate this, but Master Chen says they’re “important” to his plan so Clouse just suffers quietly.)

-Acronix likes the Master of Speed, but also finds it annoying that he can resist his slo-mo powers by going really fast. (On the bright side, though, this does make him the closest thing to an equal he’ll get for a sparring partner, if Krux doesn’t want to train with him for whatever reason.)

-Because of his element, Sound is one of the rare people who doesn’t really mind Krux but REALLY dislikes Acronix. Acronix is just so loud all the time and it physically pains him because he is so sensitive to vibrations and volume. Krux is generally pretty quiet so doesn’t bug him as much.

-Acronix is an Entrepreneur (ESTP) and Krux is an Architect (INTJ)

-They have no Feeling whatsoever

-Otherwise, they are complete opposites

-Both of these personality types hate rules, regulations, and micromanaging restricting authority figures (hmm, wonder why they broke away from the alliance…)

-Acronix is arrogant in the way that he doesn’t care about his flaws, because obviously he is awesome and everyone else is just jelly, Krux is arrogant in the way that he hates people pointing out his flaws, because shut up he doesn’t have any

-Their mother is Polaris, they take after her physically

-Father is Kronos, they got their powers and ego from him

-Their father actively encouraged them to have immense pride in their element -- being the former master of time himself

-Ordered them the sweet matching armor

-He was a samurai back in his day, which is why the Twims wore samurai helmets.

-Between their two loving parents, the Twims were nearly spoiled

-Krux and Acronix grew up pretty rich, Kronos was pretty much high society and Polaris was too

-They went to a fairly fancy private school growing up

-But everyone there were snobs so they didn’t get along well with their classmates (what a surprise)

-Their parents died in a skirmish with Serpentine, leading the Twims to join the alliance full of vengeance.

-Acronix has a battle scar from being grazed by an anacondrai sword on his left pec cause I said so

-Also a lot of misc snake bit scars and a burn scar from that one time (Ray’s got a bad temper and Acronix likes pressing people’s buttons, so that went super well)

-Acronix super cares about his looks so has a ton of, like, haircare and beauty products. Krux has a single bottle of 3-in-1 and a bar of soap and says that that’s sufficient.

-Back in the day Acronix had a bunch of oils and whatever for his hair, and when he’s in the present he’s got a bunch of fancy shampoos and such. He’s definitely the vain one of the two twins

-Acronix has ADHD and Krux is autisitc

-Acronix is early, but only to things he remembers. He often forgets dates. And Krux will get involved with something else, and has a warped sense of time. Together, the two miss a lot of EM meetings

-And when they’re at them, neither of them are good at conversations. Acronix talks a mile a minute and doesn’t let anyone get a word in edgewise. Krux either doesn’t talk to anyone or similarly dominates conversation and doesn’t let anyone else talk.

-The two also get sent on solo missions alot

-They don’t focus well in a group setting (Acronix generally ignoring the plan for what he prioritizes as the better option and krux simply not being popular with the others and only really battling well beside his brother)

-They are generally strong enough to protect a village by themselves

-The other EM work better with them out of the way since they are “annoying” and no one really likes their arrogance, pride, or entire personhood

-They seem to be happier working only together than with the whole group

-Once during a group charge on a collection of Serpentine races Acronix notices a horde heading in a different direction and follows them impulsive

-All of these things together make them especially unpopular with the other EMs

-Especially with the Master of Ice, who considers their actions disrespectful and often scolds them on their behavior

-Krux and Acronix can BOTH get hyperfixated on things they are interested in, and can also forget to eat and sleep.

-Acronix struggles with insomnia a lot because his brain doesn’t shut up. Luckily his brother never really sleeps either. They spend a lot of long nights talking about nonsense

-Acronix tries to use time skip powers to not waste time while sleeping. He skips the night, but he still didn’t get sleep. He crashes after a few days of this and Krux tells him that he’s a moron

-Acronix has a fidget spinner, which he got for the memes but ended up finding unironically helpful, and gives Krux a fidget cube (which Krux reluctantly accepts and actually does use pretty often.)

-Before learning what a fidget spinner was he would flip his phone a lot. It was both an easily accessible stim and assurance he knew where it was cause he tended to leave things around at random.

-Krux used nail-biting as a stim, mostly because it can appear pretty neurotypical

-Acronix is “annoying” around the ninja during his lil redemption arc, but instead of reacting like the elemental masters, the Ninja actually do research and come to an understanding (especially Zane, who is perceptive, understanding, and has an instantaneous link to the internet).

-Altogether he’s a little surprised when they actually put effort into tolerating and understanding his differences. Huh. How’s bout that?

-Jay is also pretty understanding, he’s got a lot of nd cousins and has ADHD himself so it’s kinda just *shrugs*

-Modern dyes and preservatives really trigger Acronix’s ADHD to be even worse than usual.

-Zane picks up on this, and like the mother hen that he is starts to put in a special effort to keep dyes away from Acronix (or to keep Acronix away from dyes, as the case may be)

-Jay has a similar problem with dyes (which Edna let the Ninja know about, thanks a lot ma ) so Zane works double time to keep them both away from dyes

-Makes special dishes that are “ADHD safe”

-Neither appreciate it (well Jay does but will complain openly at every chance he gets)

-Acronix got into a lot of trouble with their dad when he was a kid, because he just couldn’t pay attention

-Has bursts of anger a lot, oftentimes this happens during things like parties or pre-meeting conversations. (which easily leads to him getting a label of “aggressive” or “hotheaded” by the EMs)

-DEFINITELY struggles with Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria

-Ninjago history is Krux’s special interest

-Krux freezes people around him when he needs a sec to destim

-Krux is pretty high-functioning, but is on the borderline. He's high-functioning enough to be aware of himself and mask, but not enough to avoid things like shut/melt downs

-Acronix is fiercely protective of his brother whenever he shuts down. Messing with Krux while he's like that (whether the antagonist is aware or not) is a one way ticket to his wrath as well as physical punishment.

-Whenever things got too intense at a meeting/party type thing, Acronix would ditch and sneak them both out whenever Krux was heading towards a shut down. Being the awesome supportive twin that he is, he learned to pick up on the signs of one and was certain to prevent them pretty much whenever possible.

-Acronix failed in his efforts only once (he was kind of sick that day and wasn’t at the top of his game to be keeping a watchful eye on his bro), and Krux kind of ended up time freezing a few of the EMs in the process. It was something the elemental masters (or Krux himself) did not soon forget or forgive.

-He'll go nonverbal sometimes, to the minor aggravation of the alliance. Sign language isn't a thing yet so anyone trying to understand him when he's like this are pretty much reliant on Acronix and his twin sense to translate.

-When their parents died Krux went nonverbal for a little over a month.

-Krux was pretty delayed in learning to speak, he didn’t say his first word until he was 3 ¼

-Even during his redemption arc, Acronix does not tell the Ninja about Krux's autism, from a built in fear that the knowledge would be used against him in possible future battles. (Also because he knows Krux wouldn't want them to know.)

-Krux doesn't just hate phones because “ugh technology”, he also just hates talking on the phone because it’s super difficult
