So in the upcoming chapter of Horizons, "Terastal Debut", it seems Liko and co. will be attending Naranja Academy. But it seems Onyx, Agate, and Sango (or as the dub now calls them: Sidian, Chalce, and Coral respectively) will be attending the school as well. Chalce/Agate will be signing up to act as a teacher, while Onyx/Sidian and Sango/Coral are acting as students, since they're wearing student uniforms. Most likely, they want to get Tera Orbs themselves so that Amethio isn't the only one using Terastal. But it's quite interesting how Coral and Sidian are both acting as students while Chalce is acting as a teacher in the academy.

Onyx and Sango (or as I should say, Sidian and Coral) are pretty clearly a duo with each other and they pretty much always stick together. They seem to be the comic relief of the Explorers group and form a comedic duo with the contrast between them amplifying their dynamic for maximum comedic effect. Coral is a petty, short-tempered brat who easily loses her shit at even the pettiest of things, while Sidian is much more level-headed and serious to an almost extreme degree which complements her in a funny way.

These two really feel like the Jessie and James of the Explorers and Liko's story. Two troublemakers who everyone else in the organization sees as a nuisance and pain, play the comedic relief at times, and seem to be frequently in confrontation with the heroes and directly confront them in battle, although they're also a lot more competent than those two ever were. They tend to show up in contexts outside of the Explorers' missions and stir up comedic antics like Coral going after Wiglett sweets and getting mad about not getting any, and in this case there's clearly setup for them to have antics around Liko, Roy, and Dot as fellow classmates and students at Naranja Academy, and likely tension between them on equal levels as students. Maybe during their time here they'll end up battling each other in a formal school setting, like a tournament or something. Liko and Roy vs. Sidian and Coral in a Tag Battle once again. A recurring trend that they may keep up over the course of the show. They definitely feel like a more competent version of Jessie and James who despite being antagonists also have a comedic relief angle and will likely have the most personal relationship with Liko, Roy, and Dot over the course of the show. Well, aside from Amethio. Especially since as students and classmates of our heroes, they're interacting on a formally equal level here in this next chapter. They may start to have a close relationship with them that borders on the two frequently meeting and being weird frenemies who like-hate each other on a personal level.

Chalce (aka Agate) acting as a teacher on the other hand raises some interesting questions about her role in the Explorers group and in the story as a whole. This would imply that she's the most senior admin of the organization and has authority over the other admins. This was kind of hinted at as she was the leader of the operation to capture Rayquaza and in charge, giving Sidian and Coral orders to follow. She doesn't seem to have any particularly standout traits as an antagonist, and is very straightforward and calm, but has natural authority in the group, and acting as a teacher in Naranja Academy likely reinforces that. That said she seems to be little more than someone who is experienced at what she does and takes her job seriously, which is different from Spinel who clearly has his own motives outside of the group and admits to using them as a means to an end for his own self-gain.

Getting to see the rest of the Explorers admins in proper action as of late has shed more light on their characters, and I look forward to seeing how each segment of the Explorers continue to play a role in the story. We have a duo of troublemakers in Sidian and Coral (Onyx and Sango) who are sort of comic relief, a senior admin in Chalce (Agate) who takes her job seriously and has the most authority of the lot, a particularly selfish and evil one in Spinel who is trying to use the group for his own selfish motives, and Amethio is pretty unique in that he seems to have a personal growth arc and is the protagonist of his own story, while he hangs out with his two subordinates who keep him grounded. There's a lot of differences between these three and it will be interesting how their roles in the story and their relationships with each other and the Rising Volt Tacklers continues to change over the course of this show.

The Megamilla Ship: Megatron x Carmilla Carmine (2024)

[Note: I do plan to use this drawing as a Cover for a future chapter, that has to do with a Crossover story that has Sari Sumdac in it, but it's okay that not everyone reads it, and like I pointed out before, it wasn't originally going to have Transformers in it but some ideas changed, and well it's lucky the name of the story fits with a Crossover with Transformers, also please do NOT reblog this without my permission, while I will have this over at Quotev as well, as I have plans to have it be in a future chapter as a cover, where I want to have Megatron x Carmilla happen...anyway I might have the story that I plan to have those two end up together, on a bit longer hiatus, along with the one with Spinel from Steven Universe, where she ends up becoming a part of I.M.P from Helluva Boss. if I'm able to, I will try to work more on the chapters for both stories, but it might not be for a while, but maybe if I'm able to, it can be around February that I post the next new chapters, but no promises...if it doesn't end up this month, then maybe it will next month...]

some can pretty much guess the song from Hazbin Hotel that inspired the idea of these two being ship together…

just had to listen to the song enough to get the idea about Crossover shipping these two together, I'm weird and sometimes my ships will be weird…

but this is both weird yet very interesting to me, I love the idea of Carmilla x Megatron. not everyone has to ship these two together, but I still like the idea of these two being together in the Fanon. also if I want to call Charlie's Dad a "Adorkable Apple Goober" well, that's what I'm going to call him…ya know, as a nickname.

if I can call Ozzie x Fizz by the nickname "Adorkable Sweet Potatoes" as a cute weird nickname, of course I'm going to come up with weirder for Charlie's Dad…

and anyway like it says in the very long note, I do plan to use this drawing for a cover for a future chapter.

also there are some other drawings I do plan to post, but I'm going to wait a few hours to do so...and yeah, the song "Out For Love" from Hazbin Hotel, had inspired the idea for this and it's okay that not everyone ends up crossover shipping these two, it's fine if I'm the only one who is shipping Megamilla right now.

I kind of want to see Niffty going all "bad boy crazy" on either Shockwave or Lockdown.

it be even more funny with Lockdown, who might know how it feels when he takes something from those he goes after for a bounty.

it be funny if Shockwave ends up a little scared of Niffty, yeah he can be scary himself, but it would still be interesting if Niffty ends up scaring half of Megatron's Decepticons.

Blitzwing would be fine, and could be use to how Niffty is.

I wonder if I am the only one who got the whole "Helicopter Mom" or well correction make that "Helicopter Dad" thought pop into my head, from watching the way Angel was acting with Niffty in one of the episodes...but yeah, maybe it was just me.

it be funny and interesting in Hazformers ( the Hazformers AU is thanks to blitzy-blitzwing ) that Alastor asks Blitzwing to watch Niffty, and he has to even take her to where Megatron and the others are.

it be funny if Niffty does something to Blackarachnia that puts a smile on Blitzwing's face, well of course I'm talking about a type of what if type, like if Blitzwing was made by Alastor to watch Niffty.

also even though one of the tags for this, is hazformers, the idea for these two are separate thing. and not sure if many will even ship Megamilla and I'm okay if it's just me right now...

like picture their fight with each other being a mix of a deadly fight and yet a dance at the same time. that can be one of the reasons why that ship is so awesome, well at least to me.

and picture Zestial being very protective of Carmilla.

that would be so adorable if he got protective of her and doesn't trust Megatron with the care of her heart.

I also kind of want to call Zestial by the nickname "Zesty", I wonder if it's weird I want to call him by that nickname...?

calling him by a affectionate nickname like "Grunkle Zesty" wouldn't be much of a insult but some kind of my being weird and I like him. :)

guess I'm just weird for having that nickname idea for him, it's okay that not everyone agrees about it, maybe if I decide to, I could try to use that nickname for him if I decide to add him into that Crossover story that has Sari in it, and maybe in that one with Spinel as well.

anyway in a few others I will be posting some other drawings up.

hope some like this crossover ship drawing between Carmilla and Megatron, even if them being ship together is more in a fanon timeline, and in canon they haven't met but even if characters from two different series haven't met in canon, it wont stop some fans from shipping them together in the fanon.

also the ship name Megamilla was the best thing I could do for Megatron x Carmilla's ship name, not sure if Carmatron would work very well or not...I think Megamilla works a bit better.

I would be surprised if others end up doing crossover ship drawings of these two as well and not just me, but who knows if that will happen any time soon or not for a while. but it's fine if not many end up doing crossover ship drawings of Megamilla, maybe sometime when I'm able to, I will do another drawing of Megamilla. :)

My sister made me rewatch Steven Universe the Movie. THE URGE TO SIMP FOR SPINEL WAS SO MUCH. (Yes, I have a.... major crush on Spinel and have for about 2 years now.) My mom was in the living room as well and I don't want her to know, so that was "fun". How many times I wanted to call Spinel cute and funny was too many. She's literally the only character/person I've ever actually had a full blown crush on. I had a "boyfriend" but I was in 1st grade and didn't know what actual love felt like. I know what actual love feels like, and Spinel's the only person who's made me feel that way. I try my best to keep it hidden from everyone because I feel embarrassed for having a giant crush on a fictional character. I'll show you an image of Spinel

12-24-23 Tangled (2010) (old rewatch) I forgot how good this movie was. ACTUALLY PEAK and so fun to revisit. Such a fresh take on a fairytale story, great songs, amazing romance, and also empowering about overcoming an abusive parent … MUST WATCH!!!

12-26-23 Klaus (2019) (rewatch) it’s so great to see a new 2D animated movie come out, and such a great story too. Cute origin story of Christmas and POSTAL WORKER APPRECIATION!!!!!

12-31-23 Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) (rewatch) started off the year with this movie and then ended with it! What a treat!! I even wrote a short essay about it 1 semester ago :)

In conclusion, I love movies !!! But my favorite movies are those that are confident in their identities and don’t hold back. Like share your message to the fullest !!!!

I watched a lot of stop-motion movies this year. I wanna watch more studio ghibli movies next year

And maybe I should purposefully try watching bad movies… it might make me appreciate good ones more and easier see what they do right. But also. I really dont wanna watch ralph breaks the internet.

Some character notes and episode notes for HZ025, writing them down for future reference.

Liking the way they are seemingly spliting the Explorers into duos with Sango and Onyx, and Spinel and Agate (who are working together offscreen). Sango and Onyx might argue, but the way Onyx immediately sent his Pokemon to protect hers when they were attacked by Cap and tried to warn her not to snap was good. They play off each other well and it's fun how they're just not listening to Hamber at all and are unruly. I hope we see more of the Explorers interacting like that, because I really enjoyed seeing Sango and Onyx at play.

Diana is cool and I liked how she distracted the Explorers and bought time for Liko and the others. Her interactions with Hamber were interesting too, and I wonder what she means by the Explorers being Lucius's friends. Is Gibeon just using the name "Explorers" because he wants to follow on Lucius's path? Or is he an acquaintance of the original Explorers and related to them? Was Lucius betrayed by his friends? I am curious about the story there. At the very least, Gibeon and Hamber seem to know Lucius's story but not Amethio and the others.

I wrote separate posts about Amethio and Friede's battle. It was an interesting one and I liked that their battle only reached a conclusion now in the climax of the first arc. Amethio's VA absolutely nailed his line deliveries during the episode, especially the more emotional lines, like when Amethio realized he lost and said Soulblades's name. He cares a lot about his Pokemon and that was nice to see. I'm looking forward to the path he'll take after this loss.

Liko and Roy's battle against Zir and Conia was simple and nice. I like that they are gradually progressing at their own pace. Perhaps they'll be able to face Amethio eventually? (if they still need to oppose him at that point)

Zir and Conia retreating immediately before things get too bad for them is always kind of funny (but also, I like that they aren't sticking around just for the sake of it and that they run away for their own safety).

Diana saving the Pokemon in the castle before fleeing herself was a nice touch. She really cares about them and wanted to make sure everyone was safe!

Cap vs Sango and Onyx was cool. I like how Cap keeps being very independent in terms of battles and can handle things himself. Sango snapping against Cap was also fun because of the VA joke since Sango and Cap share the same voice.

The end was interesting. Ever since Lucius talked in HZ012 for the first time, I knew he was the narrator for the first lines in the first episode so it's interesting that they were featured again. I wonder where they'll meet Lucius's friends, the other heroes.

Steven Universe was a, wonderful show. I have to admit it has been so long since I have watched an episode, I should re-watch it again. I am sure like many things it also has/had its flaws, but, right now I can't remember anymore. I have to say it is sad, how, it appears as if the shows has been, in a way forgotten. I mean, the fans still exist and it is still talked about, but I assume that is now more in the background / more quiet.

It, does make me sad that, in the present, when, you hear about Steven Universe, it is indeed, often people making fun of the show, instead of hearing about a team of passionate writers and artists, trying to break boundaries and having to face again and again pushback and defiance, either way trough censorship, their work getting leaked or people ridiculing the show. Steven Universe, will always have a special place in my heart, and I will remember fondly how this show expressed and voiced about topics, that even now, some people and shows rarely to never talk or avoid talking about

SU was flawed because everything is. Even not considering the network reasons (Steven Bombs affecting the format, the sudden and exhausting hiatuses that made people less forgiving about "filler" episodes, the rushed finale), it had its growing problems and its ups and downs.

But it's a heartfelt show. It was cozy, sweet, not afraid of tackling poignant topics but still keeping that warm optimism that everyone can become a better person... and I'm not talking about the antagonists, I'm talking about the heroes. Pretty much everyone was morally grey to some degree. Everyone was given the chance to understand the error of their ways and improve.

It's frustrating that I still see tweets like Steven singing "Change" to Jack Horner to make fun of his modus operandi (ignoring that Change was directed at Spinel, who is very much not a Jack Horner) (and side note, while I enjoyed PIB:TLW, Jack Horner felt so on-the-nose he almost stopped being funny. yeah i get it, he's a monster. so subversive.) from people who only know about the show through memes or 2 hour long inflamatory essays. Maybe, if you watched the show, you'd know that Steven did not "forgive" the Diamonds, he very much does not like them until the end, they are the ones who were confronted with the flaws in their reasoning and had the presence of mind to realize "no, this is not right, I'm hurting my loved ones, I'm living a lie". Idealistic? Yeah! But welcome to a kids' show that has been idealistic since day 1!

And this is not mentioning the fact that Sugar fought to have representation back when the most famous example was Korra and Asami holding hands. She fought for it not because she wanted to have token representation, she actually believed that children deserved to see all kinds of love. That is admirable.

SU is a good show made with passion and love and a genuine desire to give hope to the audience, and the tools to find happiness. Feel free to dislike it, but at least know what you're talking about.

Random HC's for all the Overwatch characters (mostly Mei) that I've been gathering over the last 3 months (starting Sept. 17)

It's just. Exactly what it sounds like. Fluffy, angsty, funny, probably not spicy (I lied-ish, talking abt a dick). We'll see. Gonna try and post this on December 31 for something

(Sept 17) Zenyatta is ticklish as hell. Typically omnics aren't but he got his touch receptors modified, tho I can't decide if Ramattra and Mondatta tricked him into it or he wanted to try it out

(Sept 20) Genji used to have a dick piercing, when he was young and stupid. After Blackwatch he took it out and now there's just a scar.

(Sept. 29) Mei finds a lot of comfort in music box songs her mom had lot when she was young and it helps her sleep.

(Oct 3) Actually on top of the previous hc, Mei can't do silence anymore. She always needs background noise, so usually she keeps her machines in the science ward running when she's actually trying to sleep. Otherwise she puts on music or uses sound generators if it's a bit too quiet on Gibraltar. The only sound that disturbs her more than just silence is wind blowing through the quiet, because it REALLY reminds her of emerging all alone.

(Oct 20) Mei is a Steven Universe girl. Her favorite Gem as a kid was Garnet because she loved her message about self love and how much Sapphire and Ruby loved each other, and she still knows almost all the songs by heart. She got very good at singing because she sang along so much. Also she probably cried when Steven lost his gem then got it back, and when Spinel sang "Drift Away"

(Nov 4) If Mei geeks out to someone, she really really loves and trusts them. Usually it'll be about her tech, climatology, or any show that she's currently watching. She only does this if she's fully comfortable with someone though

(Nov 19) Mei is one of those people who goes ALL OUT for Christmas. If you've seen those tiktok slideshows abt warm Christmases and tacky Christmases and more, she is ALL OF THEM (a little warmer leaning imo). She'll start looking for stuff to buy as soon as Halloween ends but she refrains from actually making anything until Thanksgiving (as request of quite a few OW agents).

(Nov 19) Cassidy either hates pumpkin spice latte's or loves it. No in between. He loves pumpkin pies though!

(Nov 28) Mei genuinely did consider joining Talon instead of Winston's recall in a grief filled moment. However, she immediately remembered her friends and knew they wouldn't want her to go down that path. On top of that, if Mei's struggling with a tough decision, she thinks about what her Ecopoint team would do. She thinks of it as the least she can do considering she believes she was at fault for some of it (even though that's not true).

(Dec 15) Genji has a lot of scuffs on his armor, mostly around his shoulders, although a lot has been buffed and polished out. Most think it's from battle, but a lot of it is actually from Snowball nuzzling him too hard. The same goes for Tokki, Reinhardt, Brigitte, and a few others.

(Dec 15) As a kid and teen, Mei's mom always got her a lot of clothes and she never really got clothes on her own except in the winter time. She'd put buying clothes as a last priority since usually her mother would do that, and it's why she never has a lot of clothes for the summer: she's just still in the habit of putting off clothes shopping.

oh HELL YEAH LETS GO. am probably gonna throw myself into the Hoards with this but fuck it, I've died on worse hills.

at first, I didn't like amethyst but MAN she grew on me. on the run really sold me on shit so hard because. god, so much about her made sense. she doesn't try because nothing she does is enough for people around her. she's still not good enough. so why even try if the standards are just gonna get higher? why even try if the only person who thought she was good enough was gone and NOBODY else seemed to see her. nobody else cared. her bond with steven just makes me so??? aeroufhh. god, the disabled solidarity is everything to me. amethyst growing and "I am not less because of how I was made, I'm enough as I am." it's!! shes never gonna be the main Brainrot but god. I do love her. her fight with jasper still fucks me up. "you didn't even need me at all." she sees what she was SUPPOSED to be and she hates it and yet envies it. the thing that really made me understand her more though is reformed. her trying to figure out what everyone wants from her and just the showing of when you're only criticized and only torn down, of course you stop trying. she doesn't want to self reflect. she doesn't want to be alone with her thoughts. she doesn't want to have to look at what she is right now. it honestly makes me wonder, how much of her attachment to rose was because she gave her a purpose. she felt so lost and lonely and rose gave her meaning. and she tried to attach on to greg for that meaning but it wasn't enough and she had no sense of identity of her own and. god, she's so interesting. I WISH the show wasn't shortened so we could see more of how SHE felt about rose because the build up was wonderful. her bitterness towards greg while also craving his company, I NEED to know why she transformed into rose the first time, I need to know how she feels about pink diamond because! man! her going "she was supposed to make things better" is so interesting. she was supposed to make it stop hurting, she was supposed to help me! she was supposed to be the only one who believed in me and she was supposed to tell me what I could really be. she's deceptively dependent on others and it's so wonderful to see her grow. to see her become secure in herself is just. so fucking cool, dude. she isn't my favorite favorite, but I do LOVE the implications of her relationship with rose. I wanna know More!!!! tell me MORE!!!!!! did she idolize rose because she was a quartz just like her yet she was better, she was her own person and so lovable and perfect. and maybe she could be that. how much of that betrayal at rose being pink was her thinking "you were supposed to make me better. why couldn't you make me better." her trying to cling onto rose saying she was perfect as she was. her needing to learn to have her OWN worth, isolated from what rose thought of her. I really loved her telling steven, no, you should've trusted me in future. I like it! I love them being siblings man idk.

spinel,, man. I will forever be impressed by how the crew handled her because they had one movie and one episode to make us love her and they DID. the concept of spinels are. Mildly horrifying! holy shit! just meant to be fucking toys??? I saw someone point out pearl going "but she can't be serious" could be that like pearls are supposed to have no desires outside of their owners spinels are supposed to only feel happy and be funny and silly and Can Never Be Serious. which! horrible! it's just,, ohhh my god. she's the inner child that's what she is. she attaches to everyone so fast and is constantly trying to get approval and it's just. arufhjffjdjdj. I don't think she's my absolute favorite BUT she is very interesting and her songs are so good. her design??? the fucking tear dripping mascara and the loony toons looking!!! god. her lines are also so fucking raw. "when you change, you change for the better. when I change, I change for the WORSE." her voice acting is top tier. it's insane to me because they had *one movie* to get us hooked on her character. they had *one movie* to get you rooting for her redemption. a few hours. and they somehow did it. that resetting everyone to the beginning thing was fucking GENIUS. she's such a good antagonist and god, shes irrational and unfair but I Get It. she, again, has the vibes of an angry traumatized kid. she's so angry and lonely and she's irrational and man, therapists would have a field day w her. also again her fucking design. looney toons looking ass. I want to kiss her forehead.

rose is how you do a ghost of the narrative fucking RIGHT. she's the heart of the narrative, everyone can change, everyone can be a better person than they were yesterday and the idea that there's a level of bad you Can Never Come Back From isn't helping anyone. and also she's exactly what the narrative warns against. someone who decided she could never come back from what she did, and instead of trying to fix things or make things right, she chose to die. she doomed herself not because she was irredeemable but because she was convinced she was irredeemable. she had changed *so much* from being pink diamond and she couldn't see it. she didn't try to apologize or put things right. she thought the world would be better without her and left even more pain in her wake and it's just. she's one of the biggest tragedies of the show. her kindness and encouraging everyone to change is the heart of it and her deciding SHE can't change and should just die is what the show warns against. it's so good. it hurts to think of how much better it would be if the show had more time to explore it but god. she's such a compelling character. she's so morally gray. I wanna punch her and I wanna hug her at the same time. shes so morally gray and has so much good inside her and did so many awful things and she's so complicated and she's a person and she is the heart of this fucking show. I love her, we need to talk was an excellent episode and helped me understand her so bad. fucking excellent. god I just. she's an EXCELLENT character. please get her a fucking therapist. and take her away from pearl and spinel until theyve all worked on themselves in therapy. ty gn

After Randy has a drunken argument with Spinel, Spinel tells Randy over the phone that he can't deal with whatever this relationship is while Candy is still out there, so no more 'dates' until it's dealt with. Randy insists on one more just so he can make it up to Spinel for the argument, and asks that they dress casual for it. Now on their date....

In front of them was certainly an older building. However, the architecture was very beautiful, and it had great marble pillars out front, and a long stone staircase that lead to two giant front doors. Randy walked up and looked around, furrowing his brows. “.. F- Funny, usually there are a b- bunch of ponies here.” He pushed one of the doors open, and looked around. “… huh.” He looked back at Spinel and shrugged. “W- Well, maybe we’re a little early. L- Let’s go in, I don’t w- want to freeze out here.” Upon entering, there was a Victorian-style looking lobby, and a small, glass chandelier hung above. Randy chuckled and looked around. “A- Almost makes you feel like R- Royalty don’t i- it?” he looked at Spinel to see how he was doing so far.

Spinel walked in, noting how quiet it seemed to be. He looked around the building, keeping close to Randy since he was actually kind of cold himself. "Well, it's a little over the top but it is what it is." He could appreciate that, though seeing such a showy place looking near empty and wearing these casual clothes made it all feel like an insult on wasted efforts.

“Th- The dance hall’s this way,” he said, making his way towards another pair of stained, oak wood doors. “M- Maybe every pony’s already inside?” He opened the doors and looked around. Behind them was a vast, almost golden room, with a polished pearly floor and great glass mirrors hanging on all the walls. The sound of their hoof beats echoed as they stepped inside. “… th- this is really strange. There’s usually a whole slew of ponies here..” He shrugged, and went and sat on the edge of the nearby platform where musicians presumably played. “.. G- Guess we can.. w- wait a few minutes. We’re pr- probably early.”

"Echoooo...." he called out once they were in the dance hall. He looked over at the mirrors. "It's kind of creepy." he muttered to himself, though it came out much louder because of the sheer emptiness of the place. His ear flicked and he flushed just a little.

Randy chuckled and patted the spaced next to him, inviting Spinel to sit beside him. “I- I don’t know, I think i- it’s kind of nice. Usually it’s r- really loud and there ar- are ponies stumbling o- over each other.” He looked up at the ceiling above. A very grand looking crystal chandelier provided a comforting, warm light, and other light fixtures on the walls besides the giant mirrors made the place look almost like it was made of gold. “S- So.. y- you have been dancing.. but not ‘c- casual’ d- dancing?"

He sat down, shrugging. "Well that depends on if you count clubbing as casual. I don't remember a lot of it though, I was usually on something whenever I went." He stared off at the chandelier, getting a bit lost in it.

“W- Well um.. gosh th- this is gonna be very different then.” He rubbed the back of his head nervously, and chuckled. He was about to say something, when he noticed a low, static humming. “.. D- Do you hear that?” he asked. “.. S- Sounds like it’s coming from the sp- speakers.” He got up and went over to the small control panel to the right of the stage, and found it was opened slightly. He opened it up all the way, and found that it was on. “.. S- Some pony left the stereo system on,” he called back to Spinel. “… M- Maybe we came too late. ” He chuckled and started fiddling around with the electronics.

Spinel tilted his head. "Really?" He got up to follow, talking in a playfully suggestive manner that was also just a hint 'spooky', "Maybe we have the place all to ourselves... Foreverrrr...."

Randy chuckled and looked over his shoulder. “O- Oh gosh! I- I don’t know if I- I could stand b- being stuck with you for that l- long,” he teased. His hoof flipped a switch, and a waltz came on over the speakers. “.. H- Huh… I- I didn’t realize there was al- already a CD in h- here…” He stared at the system, then turned around and looked at Spinel. “W- Well.. i- it would be a shame i- if we came all th- the way out here to a d- dance hall and didn’t dance! C- Come on!” He took Spinel’s hooves, and started leading him over to the center of the dance floor.

"Waitwhat--?" Spinel stumbled slightly as he was pulled, looking back at the speakers. This was supposed to be the music ponies tripped over themselves over? Where was the bass? Once in the center of the floor, he simply stared dumbfounded. "How am-- How am I supposed to dance to this...?"

Randy chuckled and took Spinel’s hooves, and positioned them. “I- It’s easy! Y- You put your h- hoof there,” he said, placing Spinel’s hoof on Randy’s waist. “A- And then you hold my hoof with the other!” He took Spinel’s hoof in his and smiled. “I- I’ll lead, y- you follow, okay?” he raised a brow, a charming little grin on his face.

"This would be easier if I was facing away from you." he pouted. Grinding your butt on a guy's junk was a whole lot easier than whatever this was. He pressed himself close to Randy and seemed almost scared to let go, more like he was clinging during swimming lessons rather than dancing.

Randy rolled his eyes. “O- Okay, you just tr- try and let the music g- guide you. Th- There’s really n- not much to this kind of d- dancing.” He smiled and softly took a step forward, guiding Spinel around in a small circle, and slowing down for him if he needed it. He went a pace that was good for Spinel, but still managed to stay to tempo. He maintained eye contact with him, only breaking his gaze to occasionally check on Spinel’s hoof work.

Spinel mostly just tiptoed and scraped along, stumbling a little and trying to follow but seeming a little too self focused to actually do so. He was trying so hard to get control of his hooves that he wasn't paying attention to where Randy was actually stepping, and he started to give a few frustrated grunts as their hooves colliding on occasion. He averted his eyes after a while in grumpy shame. "I have no fucking idea what I'm doing."

Randy chuckled, and softly rubbed his side. “O- Okay, l- let’s start over. A- And we’ll take it s- step by step. N- Now,” Randy softly tapped Spinel’s thigh. “I st- stepped forward, a- and you st- step back. Th- Then you bring your h- hooves together.” He gently tapped Spinel’s other thigh. Once Spinel had moved, he stepped into the place he had just been standing. “N- Now we’ll go a different d- direction. B- But the same moves.” He stepped forward, slowly, allowing Spinel to step back and bring his hooves together. “A- And we repeat. S- Step back, together. Step b- back, together. S- See? Y- You’re getting the h- hang of it!” He smiled as they slowly danced in a ring beneath the chandelier. Randy kept Spinel close, still smiling an encouraging smile. “Y- You’re doing m- much better th- than when I was f- first learning you know.” He giggled, gently pulling Spinel along and guiding his every step. Randy wasn’t lying either, Spinel was much better than he was when he first learned how to dance. He could barely stand on his hind legs he was so awful.

"Maybe you should keep my hooves on my ass, that should help." he joked out of awkwardness, then looked down at his hooves and tried to follow as told. He laughed and shook his head, "That has to be bullshit..." He took a breath and continued attempting this dance, but overall he was stiff and focused on making it perfect, everything being very deliberate and forced.

Randy stopped them suddenly, a more thoughtful look in his smile. “H- Hey, don’t worry about tr- trying to be perfect. J- Just relax and have fun.” He softly kissed Spinel’s cheek, and rubbed his shoulder. “I’m not a cl- client that needs to be impressed. I’m just a fr- friend who wants to dance~” This next part was a bit tricky because of the height difference, but he executed it relatively smoothly. He softly raised Spinel’s hoof, and walked him through a twirl which separated them at foreleg’s length before he quickly pulled Spinel back into his embrace, his hooves returning to the exact same place they were before.

He held his breath a moment when they stopped, determined to do this right but hearing Randy's words made it.. difficult to know what he was supposed to do. How was he supposed to have fun if there were rules to how to move around...? His eyes widened at the twirl and he stared in a daze at Randy. This was all too stiff and proper, why were they wearing casual clothes and dancing this stupid swirling dance that they did at those boring parties? He narrowed his eyes, determined to make this better according to his own opinion. He pulled Randy closer by the waist before putting his hooves back in their proper places, then began dancing with more focus in his hips. Steps were exaggerated but less awkward as he kicked in to his walking instinct, and it wasn't long before he was looking comfortable enough to speed up, tail flicking a little in eagerness.

Randy smiled more, and went with the motions. “S- See! Y- You’re really getting the h- hang of this!” he chuckled, and gently swayed with him, his hoof slipping down a bit on Spinel’s waist and more over his hip. As the song began to approach its climatic end, he took a step back, and initiated a twirl again, but this time, when he pulled Spinel back towards him, he adjusted his hips, slipped his hoof under Spinel’s back, and dipped him slowly, holding him near parallel to the floor. He kept their bodies close, and his face inches away from Spinel’s. “And n- now you know h- how to waltz,” he said gently, staring into Spinel’s eyes with his own, soft, inviting hazel eyes.

"It's not so bad." he admitted quietly, keeping along and doing better with the hoof on his hip. He was more enthusiastic about swirling, but gasped at the dip and immediately clung around Randy's neck with his eyes wide. He stared into his eyes and gawked just slightly. "... Apparently I do..."

Randy chuckled and gave him a very soft peck on the lips before he stood them both up on their hooves. “J- Just remember t- to be loose a- and have fun! Y- You felt a little stiff in the beginning.” He went back over the stage and sat down again, letting out a small ‘oof’ as he sat down, taking off his cardigan.

He adjusted himself a little awkwardly, fixing his mane since it was knocked a bit loose from the twirl and dip. He wasn't really interested in sitting down yet. "Loose and stiff... Are you sure we're talking about dancing right now?" He snickered a little. He felt a little light, but wasn't sure what to do with that.

Randy grinned and looked around. He was really glad that old Burly Barley still owned this place. It made it way less difficult to reserve the whole building for just he and Spinel to dance and explore in. He knew that the unicorn would have been extremely self-conscious, and might’ve gotten frustrated if there had been other ponies around. But, there was almost no pressure to keep up any ‘appearances’ now that it was just the two of them. The speakers played a different waltz, this time much slower. Randy stood up, and offered himself to Spinel. “W- Would you like t- to try and lead this time?”

"You think I can?" he chuckled clearing his throat and adjusting himself to accept another dance. He still wasn't fond of the music and wanted something faster, but he also knew any faster and he'd probably screw up. "These aren't the kind of moves I'm used to leading you know."

Randy smiled and pressed himself to Spinel. “I- If you relax, and just remember to enjoy yourself, you’ll be great.” He followed confidently, and didn’t say anything if Spinel fumbled. He pretended like there were no mistakes, and stared deeply into Spinel’s eyes. The closeness, and the feeling of them against the world, it was enchanting. And it showed in his own eyes, a comforting glow in them as they stepped around, their reflections in the mirror seeming to stretch on forever.

Spinel was of course not the best dancer, he was awkward and seemed far to used to more sensual movements in general so there was a constant sway in his movement. He had his hoof moving on occasion to give soft strokes here and there to Randy's back and sides. Really, to him it helped to visualize this as a choreographed front facing lapdance but with both parties standing. He glanced on occasion at the mirror, thinking he looked kind of ridiculous like this but also that they seemed to be moving around okay. He looked back at Randy, bit his lip, and attempted to twirl him.

Randy giggled as he felt himself spin out. It was a tad rough, but he leaned back a bit to add to the twirl’s motions, before being pulled back towards Spinel. “Ooooh~ y- you’re a very l- lovely dancer! Wh- Who is your teacher?” he joked, softly placing his hoof back on Spinel’s shoulder. Randy was actually feeling swept off his hooves, and had a very entranced look in his eyes. It may not have been rough, but Randy looked like he was really relishing their dance, his cheeks slightly flushed. There was a smitten glint in his eye, and he smiled tenderly.

Spinel shrugged as he started making more confident long circles around the floor rather than keeping himself restrained to the center. "Eh, I don't know if you'd like him. He's kind of a neurotic ass sometimes, full of surprises though." Perfect opportunity for revenge from earlier.

Randy pouted and softly papped him on the shoulder, but he melted into a giggle, and felt himself being led around the spacious, antique room. “H- He sounds like a m- mess. I- I’ll bet he’s the t- type who has a ri- ridiculous stutter. And he d- does it, e- even wh- when he’s not nervous.” They could poke fun at him, it was okay. He kind of deserved it to be honest.

"Oh yeah, it's definitely grating at first, kind of whiny sounding too, but it's really one of a kind." He smirked smugly, giving Randy another swirl before changing direction. "At least he knows what he's doing mostly."

love how all the glyphs have their natural element form, but also other connotations! the light glyph deals w light, but also knowledge, truth (it helps wake up the people of the isles) but also the obscuring of truth (the invisibility glyph) while fire is both fire and like, movement, the sphere titan!luz travels in is made of fire glyphs while the teletransporting spell has a fire glyph in the middle, light also seems to have themes of ife? and it makes sense for fire to be movement: the more hot something is, the more the atoms in it aare moving and just…. hajdjakd.

SU Music Rankings

Bc I can and I wanna start some Disk Horse rip. These are all in order of preference, with explanations, etc. It’s a long bitch. That said, I’m not counting little short jingles or small joke songs like Little Butler. This is the meat and potatoes of SU music- just under 30 songs. I might do the rest if people like my takes lol.

I scored it mostly on three bases- how dear it was to my heart, how much/often I relisten to it, and also what it means to the plot. That said, little fun songs don’t automatically go farther down than big, plot-heavy songs either! It’s a strange little balance.

Special Note: I don’t dislike any of this music! I love SU and that includes its bumps and glitches. I just pick favorite children lol.

1.) Change

Was there ever a more Steven moment than when he wiped the blood off his face and kissed it into sparkles? I think not.

If “Be Wherever You Are” is an ode to young Steven, then this is teen Steven’s. Talking about change, and how much and how little it can do. How he holds his arms up for Spinel to hug him, so trusting. How he seems able to just. Break into soft tears at will, and not to be manipulative- it’s just his kind nature. The warmth in his voice. Fuck yesssss.

2.) Change Your Mind

This song is only fifty five seconds and it’s EVERYTHING to me. It really felt like someone was speaking the words I’d always held deep inside of me, unsure of how to say. It feels like a goodbye to someone who never really loved me.

As much as I enjoyed Future, if this was the finale of SU, I would’ve been perfectly okay with that.

3.) Drift Away

This song gave me legitimate shivers the first time I heard it, and it still haunts me to this day. Spinel stayed, and waited, and all she got was a transmission thousands of years later. Fuck.

4.) Here We Are In The Future

THE MOVIE IS SU AS ITS BEST AND I WON’T BE SWAYED ON IT. Steven being a teen who loves his weird family but is growing just a bit sarcastic to their drama. The adorable love he and Connie share. His slow realization that he will always be working, always have things to do, is both somber and real. The Crystal Gems won’t be safe with one epic battle. They’ll be safe with years of hard work and love. HIS LITTLE HANDSHAKE WITH AMETHYST.

This is a helluva bop and a great way to summarize the main character’s backstories.

5.) Let’s Only Think About Love

Did ya’ll know that Zach Callison killed his throat with that last note? He gave his all for this performance in a vocal range he no longer comfortably do and by god did it SHINE. The FLAIR. The FORESHADOWING. All of the Gems all being awkward about Rose and Steven trying to bring them to the present. Peridot having a mini-existential crisis in a cute yellow dress. I love Zach Callison’s normal singing voice but man is that a fucking bop. Nothing will ever beat it.

6.) Here Comes A Thought

This bad boy helped me out a LOT with some mental issues I was dealing with in high school. I was unmedicated, unsupervised, and full of anxiety. I’d have break downs when I tried to speak about certain things. I couldn’t function. This song inspired me. It helped me feel okay with my intrusive thoughts.

And the episode! -chef’s kiss-. Once again bringing up the morally gray area of training child soldiers. Connie expanding her social group. Steven’s trauma hauling ass in that second half. The ANIMATION. Stevonnie’s gorgeous singing voice. GOD yes.

7.) It’s Over Isn’t It?

Just barely squeaking above Stronger Than You, this ballad is everything gorgeous. The whole episode is. I think Mr. Greg stands in the top five of my episodes for the entire show. It even got nominated!

There’s just so much about this song that I love. The gentle melancholy of Pearl’s voice. How the crew had to redo the shots for this bit bc Deedee went so fucking hard. The hard cuts between Pearl, remembering the love of her life, and Steven, who has begun to feel like he took her away. I’d recommend this song to anyone, regardless of what they do or don’t know about SU, simply bc it tugs so many heartstrings of love, loss, and responsibility.

8.) Stronger Than You

Did you realize this episode aired SEVEN years ago? This bitch was what got me into SU! Hearing about Ruby and Sapphire made my little gay heart so happy inside, and then getting a whole song confirming that they were a couple, that their love powered the strongest Gem on the team? Aaaaaaaaa

To this DAY I get excited when I hear Estelle start singing. This song is timeless. This song will live in media history. God I fucking love this song.

9.) Other Friends

I’m not the biggest musical person, so I hadn’t heard of Sarah Stiles before her casting as Spinel, but JESUS CHRIST the lady went hard. She went SO fucking hard. Sarah Stiles started on 100 and somehow just kept CLIMBING. You can just hear the sheer manic energy building in her voice, the anger and resentment. 10/10 Sarah Stiles is a queen.

10.) Independent Together

This made the list entirely bc the crew was like “you’re gonna get a himbo ass Steven-Greg fusion singing with Opal while Garnet flies across the moon on Lion while floating” and I am forever thankful to them for it

11.) Who We Are

Bismuth deserved more songs. ‘Nuff said.

12.) Peace and Love (On the Planet Earth)

It Could’ve been Great is EASILY one of my favorite s2 episodes. I love the entire concept of this song. Of Steven making music to reflect how much Earth means to him and his family. Of him teaching Peridot some self-care. Also Peridot’s singing voice is really cute and squeaky.

I know it’s silly, but I would’ve really enjoyed a flip around of this in Future! Like Peridot reminding Steven how much he loves music, that he needs to take time to relax for himself, maybe with a new verse or just a remix of the original song!

13.) Something Entirely New

I watched this episode as it aired, and I legitimately almost cried. I love Charlyne Yi’s voice so much ya’ll- her raspy, not perfect singing voice against Sapphire’s deep soothing lull is great.

And to have Ruby and Sapphire’s meeting be the way it was- for Ruby to bemoan Sapphire losing Homeworld, to being stuck with a single Ruby, while Sapphire is a noble who has always been taught everyone in her “caste” is vitally important (and has, in her own mind, taken that to mean every Gem, as she should) and how they come together and make each other happy. Good shit good shit.

14.) I’m Just a Comet

The fact that Greg’s music career never really blasted off pisses me off to this day bc Tom Scharpling’s voice is fucking BUTTER. Also the song really feels like a jab at his parents now that we know the kind of dynamic he had growing up. “This life in the stars if all I’ve ever known” is definitely him wiping away their existence after reminding them (and himself) the things they used to say about him.

15.) Do It For Her

This episode. This fucking episode. This episode got me permanently hooked on SU. I’d just binged season 1 and was kinda meh about it overall after the bop of Stronger Than You. “Oh,” I thought to myself, foolishly, “I’ll probably just casually watch this from time to time.”

Like three days later Sworn to the Sword aired and that was it. I was hooked! Pearl’s gentle training song turning darker and darker, Connie’s accompaniment from nervous to determined to fully into such a toxic mindset. The fact that SU had the BALLS to discuss the repercussions of training child soldiers, now and later. This episode was everything to me, STILL is everything to me.

Six years and well over 100 fanfics written later, I think it’s safe to say this show swallowed me whole and never let go.

16.) System/Boot.pearl_final(3)

I debated putting this on the list because it’s not anything crazy important, just a way to show things are Wrong, but I had to do it entirely bc Pearl is so damn SALTY.

Like telling us about the Gems makes sense, she felt like she was given a duty, but she went so damn petty. WHY is that Ruby alone. Gross. This Amethyst is a trash dump. Wtf are you people.

17.) Full Disclosure

This episode really feels like a turning point for SU. Before, the show had its dark moments- but now we’re in the thick of it, and it’s not going away. Full Disclosure felt like an rebuff to the idea of returning to any normal we’d established in season 1. Gems are actually a giant species now. Gems tried to kill us now. There’s this Yellow Diamond bitch who got namedropped. Something about a Cluster.

The song itself is BALLER, with its ingenious use of Steven’s ringtone and photos as he tries to decide whether to clue in Connie on all this nonsense. Meanwhile we, the audience, already know damn well Connie about to yeet some common sense into him.

18.) What’s the Use of Feeling Blue?

I’mma admit it- I’m a Yellow Diamond stan. I’ve always loved her- her anger, her poise, her hardworking nature. I actively argued against the “Yellow Shattered Pink” theories back in the day. But, man, when this arc leaked? I got so overexcited I was too jittery to watch it for like two days. It’s easily my favorite arc of the series. The sheer alien nature of the zoo, the Famethyst, and absolutely Patti Lupone’s beautiful ballad. Goddamn. Yellow singing to Blue to try and help her regain her old status, the warble in her voice as she reminds Blue she misses Pink too, the movement of the bubbles as she talks about attack. It gives me shivers to this day. FUCK.

19.) Tower of Mistakes

This is, fun fact, that only SU song I have completely memorized. The story itself is kinda funny! See, we lost internet at my house for a solid 5 to 6 months when these episodes aired, so I only got a very brief window to view them all. But this was the first Amethyst song in a long while, and I didn’t want to forget it! So I keep replaying it in my head for ages. And that’s still definitely a thing.

Anyway will never not be sad that this entire song was about making it up to Garnet for Amethyst’s perceived slights with Sugilite (which was a two-way road), only for Garnet to pressure her into fusion later when pissed and never discuss it again bc Garnet probably never thought twice about it and Amethyst has the emotional openness of a clam that’s just been told its ugly. Helluva way to make someone feel like shit, G. Helluva way to bottle that shit, Ames.

20.) On the Run

I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times: Amethyst! Needed! More! Songs!

The dichotomy between Steven’s play and Amethyst’s honest desire to run away from home is so well-done, especially when you consider a lot of Steven and Amethyst’s actions are playing together. The song is also near and dear to me simply bc it’s my favorite Amethyst episode to exist (well, maybe second to What’s Your Problem, but not by much). Moments like these are all the proof I need that they were right to fuse first.

21.) Be Wherever You Are

This tune really just feels like an ode to who Steven was as a kid. Trapped on an island with no way home, and he’s just happy to be with his friends. The stars are beautiful and not oppressive. Also that one animatic with Lars and the Off Colors playing in the Homeworld Kindergarten to this music was iconic and made this song get stuck in my head for a solid month.

22.) Familiar

I ADORE how the crew use bright neon colors to show how alien Homeworld can be. And Steven recognizing that the Diamonds treat him how the CGs used to, and how prepared he is to “fix” a broken family. It’s a soft, gentle tune about melancholy. Also the Pebbles are beautiful.

23.) Let Me Drive My Van Into Your Heart

Such a cute little love ballad, but every time I listen to it now I just imagine the heart attack Rose must’ve had at the line “And if we look out of place/Well, baby, that's okay/I'll drive us into outer space.” like there’s a Vietnam war flashback if I ever heard one

24.) What Can I Do?

I’m kind of neutral on this one? Rose and Greg both have great voices, but the song itself lacks many lyrics. I think it was definitely a good way to show Rose’s flaws in thinking.

Also, I’m shocked they managed cram that much vaguely sexual innuendo into two minutes, followed by how Not Hetereo that dance between Rose and Pearl was, and not get their asses chewed by it. You go guys.

25.) Cookie Cat

I love a lot of the vibes this song has. The lyrics are so damn prophetic, but they also sound like the kind of weird 90s commercials I grew up on. It’s been like two decades since I saw the Shirley Temple commercial but I’ll be damned if I don’t remember “Animals crackers in my soup! Monkey and rabbits loop-de-loop.”

26.) Giant Woman

I am. NOT the biggest fan of Steven’s original singing voice. I feel bad saying that, since it was just Zach Callison as a kid, but he never jived well with me for some reason. So I wouldn’t listen to this on the fly.

The song itself is still really good though, with all sorts of fun animation of Amethyst and Pearl being bitchy to each other. It’s a bit sad in hindsight to see tiny Steven trying to get his moms to get along. Ahh, season 1.

27.) Strong in the Real Way

This song has SUCH a strong start. Pearl reflecting on Sugilite’s problems, but the show making sure to show us that Pearl’s lack of enthusiasm towards her also lends itself to jealousy as well as just general malaise. How much she cares about Steven, and wants him to grow up strong.

And then Steven just kinda. Ruins it? I appreciate his enthusiasm for tryna bulk up but to take what was starting as such a rich, personal song and broadcasting it to random strangers just makes me a bit sad. Almost a bit angry on her behalf?

28.) That Distant Shore

I KNOW this is gonna create some discourse, but I’m just not the biggest Lapis stan. I love her voice. I love the visuals of the song. And I get why she felt afraid and needed to flee.

But Lapis never got to take responsibility for her own actions. And, in the end, the song feels hollow to me- because we all know she’ll never talk to anyone about it, know she’ll burst back in and destroy the barn, and no one will ever question it. I like Lapis a lot, but I feel like her arc never was fully finished. She never got help. She never learned to feel safe.

29.) Dear Old Dad

I’ve yet to meet a single human being who likes this episode tbh. There’s some great discussion about what kind of parent Greg is from it, and what kind of dynamic he has with the Gems that he felt he had to fake an injury to hang out with his son. Honestly the first half was fine and dandy. It’s just that then they Greg just went out of his way to drag Steven away from missions and such. It never jived well with his character before or after.

Also, is it just me, or does Zach himself sound like he hates the song as he sings it? There’s no passion or heart in his voice. It sounds like they told him to read off cue cards and he did. Tom Scharpling’s best attempts didn’t save this one for being a skipper. But the episode, unfortunately, isn’t, so it gets a spot on here.

Live on Instagram, Rebecca Sugar and Ben Levin (with help from Ian Jones-Quartey) have given us a two-hour fundraiser to benefit the Trevor Project, in honor of Bi+ Awareness Week.

It was a lovely evening hanging out with them. Please see below for a little breakdown of what songs they played and what was discussed during the stream in terms of bi+ youth resources, Rebecca’s experiences, and the importance of having support for bi+ people.

Rebecca announces this event is for Bi+ Awareness week for the Trevor Project. Ian Jones-Quartey is giving some help with the fundraiser in the background.

First Rebecca plays "Love Like You" on guitar. It's a lovely stripped down version. They're a little bashful about making a couple glitches on the guitar. It's very sweet and charming, Rebecca, no one minds. :)

Next Ben Levin joins on bass and they play "Fries," a longer version than was in the Adventure Time show.

Then Rebecca talks about the Trevor Project and its suicide hotline that they provide for the LGBTQIA+ youth they support. After some tech glitches, they discuss how great Trevor is and what resources and research they provide on why it's so important to support these communities. Since this is Bi+ Awareness Week, they have put together a resource guide. They encourage us to donate to this organization.

Rebecca discusses Ben Levin's involvement on Steven Universe and Craig of the Creek. They decide to play Jeff Rosenstock's song "Illegal Fireworks and Hiding Bottles in the Sand" as a mashup with the Craig of the Creek ending song.

Then they give an update on the donation amounts and Rebecca gets so excited about the support. They admit to being really nervous after no performances for so long.

Rebecca decides to play a solo song and doesn't announce the title at first but Steven Universe fans all know "Escapism." It's a slightly different version with some great guitar additions in an added interlude, and they even throw in some fun super-high squeaky notes at the end.

They give a shoutout to Jeff Liu for the beautiful guitar part. They tell a story about Adam Muto (who worked on "Escapism" with Joe and was Rebecca's board partner on Adventure Time), and how he asked Rebecca to write a song for the Adventure Time finale. Rebecca goes on to play "Time Adventure."

Then they bring Ben back to do the bass while Rebecca sings "I'm Just Your Problem." Rebecca does a cool guitar solo in the middle while Ben rocks on the bass.

Then they do a nice little instrument switch and bring in the omnichord and set up "True Kinda Love." They shout out Chance the Rapper, aivi and surasshu, and of course Estelle for the help writing this song.

Rebecca gets excited again about the amount of people who have donated and gives us info about the hotline for the Trevor Project, how their hotline is available for phone, chat, and text. They also point out the existence of Trevor Project's available pamphlet, which can help people understand their Bi+ friends and family, as well as helping actually Bi+ people understand how they can expect to be treated, how to understand themselves, and that they aren't defined by their partner.

Rebecca then takes a moment to set up with an acoustic guitar (so they can have their foot on a box since they don't have a strap) and they cut out briefly to get it organized. Then they do indeed come back with their foot on box.

With a shoutout to Kate Micucci (who is watching on Instagram Live), Rebecca says she will play "a Lars and Sadie song" that she's figuring out on guitar, and plays "Be Wherever You Are."

Rebecca goes back to getting excited about the donation amount and they can't believe it's as high as it is with the concert less than half over! They say they'd like to make a tradition of doing a Bi+ Awareness Week fundraiser every year. She didn't have access to information that Trevor is now providing to bi youth when she was growing up in the 2000s, and thinks their resources are so vital. She suggests using their resources yourself or that you slip the resources to people in your life who want to support (or need to know more about how to support) bi youth.

Rebecca says they're about to play a "really really hard" song that they're nevertheless excited to go for. They said maybe we can guess what it is. They shout out Nick DeMayo, who's in the audience, the animation director of Steven Universe who is Greg's namesake and taught them a lot about music. And then they jump into . . . a guitar and bass version of "Other Friends"!

They shout out aivi and surasshu, Jeff Liu, and Sarah Stiles for all their contributions to that song, and how cool it is to play a "campfire version" of the song even though it's different.

Next, she wants to play a solo (but will need Ben again right after!) but takes a moment to thank everyone in attendance for supporting the stream and the Trevor Project. They say "thank you for bearing with me" regarding the performance rockiness.

They talk about Marceline and how they felt so connected to this character--writing episodes like "What Was Missing" where Marceline would be revealed to have had a relationship with Bubblegum and be known to be a bi character, and Rebecca felt so astonished that the audience understood Marceline was bi and understood she would always be bi, not fluctuating in orientation based on current relationships defining her. Rebecca explored this about herself only after she saw it explored with Marceline, and understood it was so important to have media that helps people understand who a bi person might be. She never related to the "party person" or extrovert stereotype of bi people as they’re usually shown in media, and thought as a nerdy person who was shy, she couldn't be bi if that was true. Cartoons helped her connect with people who understood those things about Marceline and eventually about herself.

Trevor is so important as an organization to help the next generation understand all of this. Rebecca has felt that knowing herself wasn't possible if she didn't understand her bisexuality or accept it as what it is, and it spread instability throughout the rest of her life. What brought her to finally being able to process and understand this aspect of her identity was cartoons, and she hopes cartoons can bring some others in as well. With that, she brings out the song she was asked to write for Marceline even though she had left the show. Rebecca plays "Everything Stays."

Rebecca then says they were a little conflicted about whether they were going to say all that stuff, about why this issue is personal to them. (It's okay, Rebecca, this is the best!!!)

She says that song was about her stuffed black rabbit that was her favorite toy that she thought she loved so much, but she forgot it in the garden and it was damaged. That it was so surprising to her that she could have loved this rabbit the way she did and not realize it was missing, and that it could change without her. "Everything Stays" was obviously about that, but she also says the situation with Spinel was inspired by the same toy. She switches to electric guitar to sing and play "Drift Away" with Ben back on board on bass.

They point out that they're rocketing through the set list and Ian suggests maybe they'll have to do some encores. In thinking about what songs to play, they point out that so many songs were written about their mental health journey and coming out to family and friends. A song that was "at the end of that whole arc" for Rebecca was "Change Your Mind." It can go on forever, they point out, but they'll only play it a few times. On we go with a really smooth guitar version of "Change Your Mind." (It's the extended looping version.)

They announce that now with the Instagram contributions and the landing page we've reached the goal of $20,000, and they can't believe it's at the halfway point of the stream and we have already reached it despite that the show's been done for a long time and they "broke a lot of social media rules" by stepping away for so long, but that's been crucial to their mental health and their journey.

After they come back from a break, they discuss some funny artifacts that they finally got to take home that were left in the office--a Steven Universe piñata that they were supposed to smash in celebration of a pickup and they didn't want to because, you know, hitting a representation of their younger brother is kinda wack? Haha.

They also had a model of Marceline's bass.

These items were left in the office and just kind of frozen in time because Rebecca's last day (written on the white board, still, when they returned!) was March 13, 2020, just as the pandemic was coming down. Returning to collect stuff was like visiting a room that had been frozen in time!

Rebecca offers a stretch goal to get to $30,000 instead of the original $20,000, and talks a little more about the Trevor Project, discussing how important representation has been, to have bi representation in terms of DIRECT support for LGBTQ+ youth. What they've gotten to do with cartoon representation, having queer characters who can just have fun the way heteronormative kids can and see representatives of themselves is great, but these specific resources are also so important.

Rebecca then plays "Heart of the Country," a Paul McCartney song they're learning that has a hard solo they hope they'll nail. After playing it, they say they flubbed some of it but it was super fun.

Rebecca comes out with an old ukulele--older than the one they wrote the Steven theme song on and auctioned off for National Bailout--that they wrote a bunch of Adventure Time songs and got as a Hanukkah present. (They mention happy 5782 for those of us who celebrate Rosh Hashanah.) Ben is also using his first bass! They recommend musical instruments as gifts for bi people because those are the gifts that keep on giving! They mention working on guitar during the lockdown (which has been therapeutic!) and not having played uke in a while because of that. With that, she dives into "Here Comes a Thought."

They decide to talk about the background of "Mindful Education," how they were coming out at the time they were writing that episode and song. They said coming out was like having the ground spin around. They thought mindful meditation, being so wonderful and helpful, could become an 11-minute episode where Steven leads kids in mindful meditation. With help from Ben (and Matt Burnett), Rebecca realized it would work better if they show characters benefiting from the lessons. They have a little joke about how the episode number was 108 and they prided themselves on knowing the episode numbers. Then they put aside the uke and pick up a big black guitar to play "Found."

After this, she talks more about Trevor Project's hotline, chat, text, and resources. They remind us that bi+ people experience very specific forms of marginalization and this organization can help everyone who wants to understand. She thanks everyone for helping with donations and she can't believe the Instagram fundraiser has gotten to $10,000. She's amazed that "the thermometer is bursting" and promises to draw it later. Ben thinks he could be part of future fundraisers and Rebecca reminisces about times they've played together, like in 2016 at SDCC and a Gallery Nucleus show.

Rebecca goes back to the other guitar to do some audience requests for repeat songs and talks about the song "Fries." The story behind this one, when she was writing it--the first song she wrote for television and the first episode she boarded--since she was introverted and struggled with pitching, she went on the roof of Cartoon Network to practice being louder until she was actually audible. Ian helped.

They decide to do the ending Craig song again and Ben says Jeff Rosenstock's song is really nice and Rebecca talks about getting teary over the Craig ending with people sitting around the dinner table. Rebecca's favorite line is "speaking in a stupid secret language." She feels like she still hasn't moved on from that in her life and likes to surround herself with people who speak that language. After it's over, Rebecca says hi to Jeff Rosenstock in the chat.

They do more shoutouts for the Trevor Project and then discuss encore songs. Rebecca decides to do "Love Like You" again because they were sad they messed up a chord during the first performance. It's another lovely version.

After more great discussion of the Trevor Project's resources and Bi+ Awareness Week, Rebecca says hi to her Brazilian friends and how awesome it was to visit there for a convention, and she loves that Trevor is trying to expand resources to be more global. She knows how important those resources would be to help people worldwide. She thanks people for coming out to see her, and admits to being surprised that her life has come to include actual performances since she always thought she'd just be behind a desk as an animator. She gets very nervous about performing but loves that people support her. They love being able to perform and once got a sweet comment from John DiMaggio (the voice of Jake on Adventure Time) who would hear the early demos that were a struggle to be audible, and he told her that she's come so far that it now sounds like she enjoys performing, enjoys the sound of her own voice now. She feels that coming out and all the support from friends, family, and organizations has made that confidence and comfort with herself possible.

With that, Rebecca plays the Steven Universe theme song on guitar!

And then, they play "Time Adventure" again.

Rebecca talks more about the astounding amount of support for Bi+ Awareness Week, how moving it is and how hard it is to hold it together while talking about what it was like to be an adult who didn't know if they were even allowed to be bisexual and nonbinary, how much of their adult life was in such a quagmire over not knowing fully who they were.

For their next to last song, they play a song written by aivi and surasshu with lyrics by Rebecca: "Being Human" from the ending theme of Steven Universe Future.

Finally, Rebecca says thank you to everyone who's been involved in the songs--the performers, aivi and surasshu, Jeff Ball, the Crew, Ben Levin, Ian Jones-Quartey--and everyone who's helped raise over $11,000 just through the Instagram concert. She plays "Change Your Mind" one more time, adding that the journey is ongoing even though this song was written at a time she considers at the end of an arc of self-discovery for her.

I was going to post a drawing I did some weeks ago, but then something happen to it.....I plan to try to redraw it, or at least try to redraw it as best as I can if I'm able to....

anyway like it shows in this drawing, Sari is 23 years old in Earthling Years, and around 23-Hundred Stellar Cycles Old in Cybertronian Years....and the whole "Swindle x Sari" in this, was because of a fan fic I'm writing.....but for now, it's more of a Semi-Ship and I guess it could be viewed as a Crack-Ship, so I guess I can try to see how it goes.

but it makes me think about that funny scene that became a meme.

you know I haven't seen the movie, but I had found out about it thanks to the meme....

Megatron would be the Captain and Swindle would be the Schmidt...

and Adult-Sari who is 23-Hundred Stellar Cycles Old, would be the daughter of Captain Megatron.

so like a TFA x 22 Jump Street Crossover...

also, even though it is energon-blood coming from Swindle's "nose" it still counts as a nose-bleed...

also I wasn't really sure about the whole Panty Anarachy thing, so I decided to try my best to still have her, you know....but also like try to super censor her body...and yeah a Robo-Fizz is suppose to put sunscreen on her.

at first, someone was going to be holding that sign that says

"Down With Ultra Magnus (Who's True Name Is Megazarak)"

but then I decided to just have it just be standing there, in the sand.

I'm still gonna stick to my Fan-Headcanon Theory about Ultra Magnus in TFA, really being Megazarak, and he did something to the real Ultra Prime...

I mean, "Ultra Magnus" has done some pretty messed up stuff.

so I say, Down With Ultra Magnus! XD

I didn't feel like drawing the full bodies of both Blitzwing and Swindle, so I just only showed a bit of their bodies, like what is seen in this drawing.

you can only see Blitzwing's arm and servo/hand, as well as a talk bubble that is showing Random-Blitzwing's face.

and at the very bottom, is Swindle's fainted form...

which only shows his feet and one of his servo/hands.

Cherri is of course next to Sari, and telling her that she had broke Swindle.....which is true, because the bikini she was wearing had caused him to faint.

and there is a reason why Sari's eyes are purple and why her hair is not in it's normal two ponytails and is down instead...

I also have two other drawings that has to do with that, which I will post next after this. as well as another ship drawing.

Spinel is at the beach, giving away free booze and energon.

the energon, is of course the food/drink type...

it could be her part-time job to give out free drinks and food at the beach.

this took from August 28 to August 29, 2023 to fully finish.

I just had to add Twilight Sparkle in this, playing with a ball and I guess she could be throwing it to someone else, but who that is who knows.

Ryoko Hakubi from Tenchi Muyo is in this...

Mrs Mayberry is in this, just enjoying her time at the beach like everyone else....

also like it shows in the drawing and in the tag for it, there is Amestor.

Amestor is Amethyst & Alastor's ship name...

I'm weird and I decided to have them be ship in this drawing.

Amethyst has a hotdog with ketchup, mustard and chili sauce on it.

yeah, and Alastor might have his head turned in the wrong way.

and he is willingly having his hand on someone's hand in a way that might freak out some, maybe...?

we could view the Blitzhusk part in this drawing, as a type of beach date for the two...

like Blitzwing and Husk are on a date at the beach and just enjoying each other's company.

even if this drawing might not be 100% mature, and might be around 99% or 95% mature...?

and the only "birthday-suit" that is being shown in this drawing, is Panty...who has a Robo-Fizz with her, and I had her body white light censored....

not sure if the whole Amestor would even become a very big thing, but I do like the ship name and some can view it as platonic or romantic, or like the type where it starts just platonic but slowly becomes romantic, there are ships like that.

Blitzhusk is living proof of that, and in canon they have never met, but we don't care....we ship it!

yeah, kinda reference to that ship song again...

the one called "I Ship It" by Not-Literally.

like picture Alastor having a "bump-bump" moment after hearing Amethyst laugh and seeing her smile, and Husk and Blitzwing having seen the whole thing and as soon as Alastor looks at the two, he sees they are both smirking smugly at him. XD

also once I do post this, as well as some other drawings...

I will be posting next, about my feelings about a certain Toxic-Religious place, that says "God Hates Asexuals." (which we know that is just a lie, and it is a really disgusting lie...)

well I got to say this.....my blood type, which I still am a bit procrastinating in checking to see if it will come out the same type for a third time (and hopefully I can get to it eventually next month.) as O RH D Negative, and I view myself as a Defective Earth Angel, who doesn't work 100% the same as the rest of the other Earth Angels born into their organic human forms...

and I'm a descendant of King David, his son King Solomon and even Solomon's son Rehoboam (which still may be more of a blessing and not really a curse to me...)

and I as well as some others who are also descendants of Cain, being all labeled "evil", yeah I'm his descendant, as well as Seth...

which wouldn't that make them both like Ancestor Grand-Dunkles...?

like them being a mix of being Grandpas and Grunkles.

and I still believe that both Cain and Abel were both in the wrong but for different reasons, and maybe if Cain was given the proper help, he wouldn't of fallen into a very dangerous spiritual and emotional depression.

anyway, I know we have to deal with Toxic-Religious people...

who knows how many people have to deal with them, some who have a run in with them, might be religious themselves or not at all, but still don't like some lines that some of those Toxic-Religious jerks cross...

if that place that says "God Hates Asexuals" has a problem with Aces, then they will have a problem with some Earth Angels who are both Aroaceflux and a Nonbinary-Girl....

I don't know how many Other Earth Angels who are both Ace and Nonbinary, or like just one or the other....I'm the only one I know so far. maybe there are other Earth Angels who are Ace and Nonbinary.

maybe I can wait a while to post the full talk about it...that has to do with the jerks who wrote those words....it is still stupid.

I do want to punch Lucifer, as well as some other Male-Angels that have crossed lines they shouldn't of, like freaking starting a rebellion in the middle of the imbalance, which was caused by possibly idiot humans from a very long time ago, but for all we know, they could of been influenced to cause The Goddess to be dethroned and causing the imbalance of the Masculine and Feminine, which might of end up taking many centuries to get to the point where it is now...

like it might be a little balanced now, but there is still a bit of that toxic-masculine energy, and it might be a bit higher than the toxic-feminine energy...

I can still trust some Male-Angels, but some I find questionable, and I don't just mean the Fallen Ones...

I know it is not possible for me to really punch Lucifer....or even some "Grandpas" who fathered the Nephilim.

and I guess it is possible those who are Satanist, even the Toxic-Satanist, and yeah I do have that beef with the Toxic type ones because of past life reasons...(and hopefully not everyone who is Satanist, crosses lines that shouldn't be crossed.)

but yeah, anyway what I want to say, it might be possible some who could be Satanist, might not understand why I want to punch Lucifer (even though I did say one of the reasons, that has to do with him doing that rebellion thing at a very bad time)....although, Mammon is still gonna be at the top of the list I made, because of the whole Coca-Cola thing...I'm still calling dibs on his butt, but not in the same way Millie calls dibs on Moxxie's butt.

I know that a few years ago, it was possibly a Toxic-Evangelical that hurt my feelings when they couldn't accept I believe in a Goddess now as well, I can believe in both Divine Parent Figures...

but yeah, a friend had told me that the one who kept hurting my feelings by throwing a certain misused words at me...

was possibly a Evangelical, hopefully not all Evangelicals are like that.

I think what happen before, does count as a type of Toxic-Religious Trauma.

I might not go by Christian anymore, and prefer to be called Neo-Spiritual, well unless some humans ends up ruining it...

so anyway, I don't see why some people have to be so Toxic-Religious & Toxic-Hypers*xual....it is really REALLY unattractive.

if I have to, maybe I could carry a pepper spray.

I think I would feel safer with Ozzie and Fizzy, and not ending up standing next to a person or a group of people who are not only Acephobic but are also Toxic-Hypers*xual and Toxic-Religious.

I already don't like being outside alone in the car, and like I had pointed out before, I had a type of panic attack in 2015...

and I thought I was over that, but then this year when I was waiting in the car again, while waiting and it just seem....a bit too long to me, and I started to get this weird feeling around my heart and well I of course didn't like being alone in the car, but I think I was doing okay in controlling my feelings...

my Mom thinks it might of been Anxiety, but I'm not 100% sure if that is the case, but at least it wasn't like in 2015...

oh yeah, and that freaky thing with the Radio is still happening, but it only happens like once in a while, it's been maybe weeks since I last checked to see if I will cause it to do that weird thing that happens...

and yet, my spirit animal companion is the Deer...

and it still reminds me a bit of Alastor...

even if he is dangerous, I think I would feel a lot safer with him as well.

but yeah, if some of cartoon or video games characters were real.

and I had to choose between standing closer to, like either Blitzwing, Lugnut, Megatron, Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie, The Crystal Gems, Alastor, Ozzie and Fizzy....

or like a group of Toxic-Religious people who are also Acephobic.

yeah, it be no contest...

this "Earth Angel Princess" is going to go over and hide behind the ones that are less dangerous...so maybe behind Lugnut.

yeah, Lugnut is technically is dangerous, but to me, not as dangerous as certain humans.

also, is it weird to have thoughts of wanting to glomp Megatron...?

it was thanks to watching some episodes where it had Megatronus and Solus in it...yeah Megatron ends up cursing, but the way he acts in some of the episodes....makes me want to hug him.

even if there are some good people in this world, but I hope some can understand what I'm saying...like not feeling safe to be outside alone so far away from the place where you live in, like either a house or apartment, it depends...

I'm also not sure about if I should put the other "Mature-Checks" for this, and I only checked one, even if it might not be 100% like the thing I had checked for this....but with the whole certain parts in this drawing, and some of it is of course censored...

well I guess it's fine....and technically no one is drinking the booze, and maybe because Husk hasn't notice the booze yet. lol

anyway the next drawing I'm gonna post up is a Crossover Ship.

not sure if Amestor or even the whole Adult-Sari x Swindle would end up getting many shippers, but I'm okay if it's just me for now.

and the whole ship of Swindle x Adult-Sari, is a Semi-Ship for now and I have to see where it goes and see if it can work as a full ship.

anyway, I will post the next Crossover Ship drawing in a little bit.

and hopefully, someday people will stop being Acephobic for some stupid reasons, because it is just making them look Toxic- Hypers*xual...even if it turns out not all those who are Acephobic are Toxic-Hypers*xual, but we can't rule out that some of them are.

I can only assume by theory, because of the whole thing with Acephobics.
