Wonwoo is the kind of boyfriend who wants to cater to you in any way he can. On your first date, he took you on a picnic in a field surrounded by daisies. He made sure to bring the foods you liked to eat and made your favorite lemonade. When you asked him how he knew these things, he said, “I pay attention.” Soon after, he took you on many dates, and you got to know the warm person behind those sharp eyes. You fell in love with him. Hard.

Wonwoo made you feel safe, secure, and, most importantly, loved. You can talk to him about silly things, and he understands your weird jokes. He doesn’t judge you when you are having a bad day and can sense when you aren’t feeling right. A kiss from him and his words of wisdom always make you feel better. You didn’t believe in love before then and didn’t even think it was possible for you, but Wonwoo exceeded your expectations. “Good morning, sunshine,” he whispers in your ear. Snuggled up in the fluffy comforter on the bed, you peek one eye open. The smell of toasted bread and eggs fills your nose, and Wonwoo is busy clearing the nightstand to set down a food tray. “I know you got in late from work last night, so I made you breakfast.” You get up slowly, your hair disheveled from a hard night’s sleep. You don’t even remember taking a shower or getting into bed. Being the store manager at a local coffee shop can do that to you. “Aww, baby,” you stifle a yawn. “You didn’t have to make me breakfast.” “Yes, I did,” he insists. “Today is your day off, and you work hard. I have to make sure my girl is taken care of.” Your girl. You will never tire of hearing him call you that. “I love you,” you beam at him. “Thank you for making me this.” He leans down, cupping your face and leaving you with sweet kisses. Next, he gravitates toward your neck, leaving you in giggles as that’s one of your sensitive spots. “Keep this going, and I’m not going to be able to eat.” He pauses for a moment, a slow grin on his face, a deceitful twinkle in his eye. Then he kisses you again, his hand traveling seductively underneath your shirt. 

“Maybe I want you to work up an appetite first.” He kisses you again, and you pull him into the bed, his lengthy body towering over yours. You two get lost in yourselves, your clothes coming off and your naked bodies pressed against each other. As much as you love wintertime, you have to admit that the cold can be too much for you to handle, hence why you always find yourself bundled up in blankets upon blankets on the couch or with ten mugs of whatever hot beverage you can put in your body each day.

That is where Mingi finds you today: smothered under many layers of blankets with the television on in the background and a mug of hot tea off to the side. He huffs out a laugh that announces his presence in the doorframe, but you don’t dare move from your cozy bedding. The air filtering in through the door is enough to deter you from doing so. 

“It’s not even that cold outside,” he reasons, snapping the door shut and closing out the cold air.

“Cold enough to me.”

“Well, care to make room under there for me?”

“That requires moving,” you whine. Mingi approaches the couch nonetheless with a gummy smile thrown your way. You know you don’t stand a chance against that smile, and you’re already peeling back the layers to make room for him by the time he reaches you. “You better not bring any cold under here.”

“No promises,” Mingi grunts as he falls atop your body and smothers you deeper into the couch. You greet him with a soft and gentle kiss, one that doesn’t ask for anything more than the slight pressure it brings. His large hands come to rest on your sides. He dances over the material of your shirt for a few seconds before slipping a few cold fingers underneath. Cold grazes your hip bones, eliciting a soft gasp that inhales the air from Mingi’s mouth into yours, and he chuckles against you upon hearing your reaction.

“That was cold, you bastard.”

“I know.”
