Steve always gave Eddie flowers.
It was one of his moves from his old King Steve days, giving the person he liked flowers. He just thought it was a sweet thing to do, he always tried to make sure it was their favourite flower or a flower that reminded him of them. When he was sixteen he had borrowed a book from the library about the meaning of flowers so he could make them swoon telling them that the flowers meant beauty or kindness or grace.
He had asked Wayne what Eddie's favourite flower was, he said sunflowers he thinks it comes from Eddie's mother she always loved sunflowers before she died. Steve had remembered sunflowers meant loyalty and adoration, he thinks that fit Eddie Munson perfectly.
He wished Hawkins had a sunflower field, he knows there's one a few towns over, he and Robin drove through it once on the way to Indy. The florist in town flirts with him telling him how romantic it is to go to a flower field.
"You buying your sweetheart some flowers for Valentine's Day?"
"Yeah, they deserve something special today."
The girl seems a bit disheartened but covers it well, "A lucky gal having a gentleman like you."
She asks if he needs a card for the bouquet but Steve tells her there's no need, he can tell Eddie everything he wants to say. Any other year Steve might've gotten his valentine a box of chocolates or a teddy or balloons but he knew Eddie wouldn't appreciate those, the sunflowers would be perfect.
He took a deep breath as he parked his car before making his way up the hill to where Eddie was waiting for him. He smiled when he got to the top.
"Hey Eds, sorry I'm late, but I got you these, I know they're your favourite."
He sat down beside Eddie and softly placed the flowers on the dirt.
"I know I didn't technically ask you to be my valentine, but I like to think you'd say yes. Maybe we would've been coming up on one year together instead of one year without you. Could've taken you to that diner that Wayne said you liked to go to as a kid. He talks about you a lot ya know, I worry one day he's going to run out of stories and it'll feel like losing you all over again."
Steve takes a moment to lean against the stone and gather his thoughts.
"Robin worries about me, but I think she gets it in a weird way. I just wish we'd had more time. I mean you had just asked me out when all this went to shit with Chrissy and Vecna. I never wanted you to get in the middle of this, I should've protected you Eds. Part of me wonders what would've happened if we had planned to go out after the game, maybe you would still be here."
A light wind blows, softly during the tears on Steve's cheeks. If he closes his eyes he can almost imagine Eddie is the one wiping them away. Steve thinks about what Eddie would say if he was here. He'd probably blush at the flowers, pull his hair in front of his face to hide it but that bright look in his eyes would give him away. He'd probably giggle at the holiday, talk about how it's such a straight persons day but secretly love it when Steve kisses his cheek. They'd probably share a milkshake at the diner and hold hands under the table.
They'd probably do a lot of things if they'd had more time. Probablys don't bring back Eddie, so Steve will sit with him on the hill, the bright sunflowers laying stark against the bittersweet backdrop of their lost potential. Steve places a soft kiss on top of the headstone.
"I hope you enjoy the flowers, sweetheart, I'll be back tomorrow."

⸻  AMERICA FERRERA. SHE/HER / have you ever heard of DAISIES by katy perry, well, it describes IRIS FLORES to a tee! the 37 year old, and FLORIST was spotted browsing through the stalls at portobello road market last sunday, do you know them? would you say  SHE is more impatient or more GENTLE instead? anyway, they remind me of the sweet smell of perfume that will stay with you all day, a pencil tucked behind her ear ( usually forgotten about ), one moving box that never gets unpacked, layers, layers, layers and walking absolutely everywhere maybe you’ll bump into them soon!

ABOUT.
Name: Iris Flores Age: Thirty-seven DoB: 18th August 1986 Occupation: Florist Romantic/sexual orientation: Heteroromantic/heterosexual Birth Place: Lawrence Township, New Jersey, USA Current Location: Notting Hill, London, UK Time in Notting Hill: 8 years
Iris grew up in New Jersey to a very large, but loving family. She had a stupid amount of siblings and cousins, constantly surrounded by people, which for a relatively shy child, was a little overwhelming.
In the end, however, it was a blessing, as her parents were killed in a fluke boating accident when she was only seven. After that she went to live with her grand parents full time, which is where she found her love for flowers.
Her grandmother would often spend her days gardening, picking what she’d planted and arranging it in vases dotted all over the house. A young Iris made it her mission to become her grandmothers helper and would often follow her around, choosing what colours went into each arrangement.
By the time she’d reached twelve, she had quite a knack for it and was busy planting things herself, one of the many flower beds designated as hers.
To begin with it had been a distraction from what had happened to her parents, but it soon became a passion and the way that her life was leading.
She worked her way through school and through college, picking up various skills as she went, doing all she could to know things would be okay once she graduated.
She left with honours, working in a local flower shop to hone her skills during her early twenties.
It was when she reached the latter years that Iris decided to start again. She moved to the UK with her best friend, started a flower business from home, something she puts every once of her heart and soul into.
London very quickly became her home, the one place she had no intention of running from. She began a whole new life, one that her family often frequents, dropping by and spending a week or two living out of her spare room.
WANTED CONNECTIONS.
- best friend she house shares with. - ex-boyfriend. - people she employs for her floristry business. - sister from another mister/brother from another mother.

Due to Australia’s vibrant food culture and the success of reality cooking competition shows like My Kitchen Rules and Masterchef on television over the past ten years, Australian chefs are well-known throughout the world, and the country is also home to several well-known celebrity chefs. Some of Australia’s well-known chefs run restaurants with lengthy waits and have been awarded Michelin stars.
This article will introduce you to the best Australian chefs, who are well-known around the world as celebrities.

Adam Liaw
Australian-Malaysian chef Adam Liaw rose to fame after taking home the title on MasterChef’s second season. Liaw was born in Penang, Malaysia, to an English mother who was born in Singapore and a Malaysian Chinese father. He has an older brother and a younger sister, and he is the second of three children. At age 3, his family relocated to Adelaide. Liaw lived with his paternal grandmother, whom he credits as having had a significant influence on both his cooking and his life after his parents got divorced and his mother relocated to New Zealand. Liaw tweeted in September 2009 that he was thinking about applying for the second season of MasterChef Australia. He was listed as one of the top 24 candidates in April 2010. Despite succeeding in a competition where he had to prepare meals from famous chefs, Liaw wasn’t confident in his ability to take home the crown.
Liaw was the first challenger to be given a spot in the championship round on July 22, 2010. He was named the champion of the second season of MasterChef on July 25, 2010. The most watched non-sporting television event in Australian history is still his victory.
Liaw thought about a multitude of alternatives after winning the competition, including founding an izakaya restaurant. He later returned to MasterChef as a guest judge for seasons 4 and 6. The 40-year-old, Adam Liaw resides in Sydney, hosts the show Destination Flavour and writes frequently for publications including The Guardian, Sunday Life, and GoodFood. Two Asian Kitchens (2011), Adam’s Big Pot (2014), The Zen Kitchen (2016), Adam Liaw’s Asian Cookery School (2017), and Destination Flavour: People and Places are among the five cookbooks he has written (2018). “Can you please just tell me where we’re going? Please!” You ask once again. Ayato only laughs and continues to guide you.
“Patience, my darling.” He says softly, holding your hand to lead you down a hill. “We’re almost there. I promise.”
It all started when Ayato came out, asking if you wanted to go somewhere with him. When you asked where though, he responded with “it’s a surprise”.
That’s what led you to here. Being led by your lover in what seemed to be a forest, eyes completely covered.
After a few more minutes of walking blinded, Ayato finally stops you. “Alright, we have arrived. Are you ready?”
You nod your head and Ayato removes his hands. Looking out, you see an array of some flowers that no one has seen for so long. There were ones from Sumeru and Mondstadt. So many local specialties that would all take months to import.
“Oh my- Ayato, how long did this take you?!” You asked, bending down to admire the Cecilias next to you.
“It wasn’t easy.” He admitted, kneeling next to you. “Finding this spot, getting the flowers, other arrangements. But..”
He brought a finger to your chin, lifting your head to look at the sky. Up above, the trees cleared way to show the beautiful night sky. Stars aligned all over while casting a powerful glow onto the flowers.
You couldn’t help but smile as you stood to look at the scene better. Your eyes gleamed against the shine of the stars, a scene Ayato found so attractive. It was all so beautiful. And your chest continued to warm at how much thought Ayato put into this beautiful moment.
He truly was one of a kind.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.” You whispered, not realizing your lover was still kneeled down.
Ayato smiled up at you. “There is, one more surprise for you, my love.” He spoke. He took your hand, turning you to face him.
Looking at the man below you, you see a new look gleam in his eyes. “[Name], I know being with me isn’t the easiest task, with my enemies and daily affairs and work loads, but I’m forever grateful you gave me a chance. I love you so dearly. As for your surprise..”
His hand slowly reaches to his back pocket, carefully pulling out a small blue box. Your eyes widened when he opened the box, revealing a gorgeous ring.
“I don’t want you to feel pressured by this decision. We won’t be in any rush to get married. We’ll do stuff on our own time. Everything will be for us. [Name], my darling, will you marry me?”
An overwhelming feeling of happiness overtook you. You will never forget the smile Ayato provided, the reassurance he gave in this moment. He was everything you could want and more.
“I will most definitely marry you.” You tell him, your hands moving to cup his face.
His eyes show shock for a moment, before they show adoration. He stands in front of you, and pulls you in to gently kiss you.
The whole scene seemed like it was out of a movie. Kissing under the stars as an engaged couple, surrounded by gorgeous flowers. The two of you holding one another close, afraid to even try and let go.
“[Name] Kamisato.. I love the sound of that.” Ayato whispered after the two of you parted. You give him a laugh in return.
“It is a little catchy.”
Ayato takes the ring from it’s box, carefully sliding it on your finger. It flowed beautifully in the moonlight. Neither of you could stop smiling. It seemed like an euphoric dream.
And it was happening. The two of you were gonna get married. A lasting bond of eternity, as if you already promised each other that.

Welcome, to florist Manuela’s beautiful home in Spain.
Tumblr media
First, let’s tour the house.
Tumblr media
Her home reflects the hues and textures of the surrounding landscape.
Tumblr media
She & her husband, are renovating and expanding at a leisurely pace. They like to see it as a work in progress, believing that the house adapts to them and not the other way around.
Tumblr media
Dark feature wall in the dining room and a mix of styles and eras. Books and wall art are on top of a mid-century modern sideboard.
Tumblr media
The tiny kitchen is currently encased in an open framework. A small cabinet provides some storage.
Tumblr media
The homemade bed rests on boxes turned on their sides to lift it high off the floor. (Is that so doggo, Groc, doesn’t jump up there?)
Tumblr media
Each morning Manuela takes a few steps to her flower studio, ‘Gang and the Wool,‘ just outside the garden terrace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The actual floral work is done outside.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s well-known because of its idyllic little greenhouse – Vogue Spain once dubbed it one of the most beautiful flower-shops in the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The space is cozy, w/an inviting vintage couch with throw blankets, books and pottery lining the bookshelves, and the greenhouse itself has doors that open wide onto the brickwork terrace.
Tumblr media
It’s usually crowded with photographers and stylists who want to use the magical atmosphere as a scenario.

Look at the view from the terrace of the pastoral hills of Vallvidrera, just outside Barcelona.
