Hello. I wanted to say that i've been following you for some time and i find your Vietnamese Clothing for DA characters stunning. They are so beautiful and you drew them perfectly and with a style that not only make sense (for example inspiring Bethany circle robes to those of a religious order) but they are also in line with the character original style. So... it's amazing!

Thank you so much! And I'm glad you enjoy the behind-the-scenes details; those little aspects often keep me up at night, since there are aspects of the Thedas worldbuilding (especially DA2) that are quite tricky to translate to/express with Vietnamese culture. I try to embrace imperfections whenever I can, choosing which aspects about the characters to highlight and which to let loose, and yet it still took me more than a year to finish Merrill's design 😂

I realized I never drew my Vy in this AU, so here are both of my Hawkes in a picture together, with their Vietnamese names. Cirilla becomes Trác Lạc (逴躒 - roughly translated into "having outstanding abilities"), as his father wished for her to be heroic and capable, and Vy becomes Tường Vy (薔薇 - climbing rose), as Leandra wished for her to be noble and resilient.

(And yes if you send me an ask for this AU I will draw/post new art for this AU 🙌)

having stripper izzy thoughts... he has a pair of regulars who like to book a room and request him for a private show. the leather daddy looking one (ed, he's learned) always settles back against booth first, one leg extended to rest on the bench and the other bent at the knee, foot planted firmly on the floor. the colorful polished one (stede) follows and sits in his lap, getting the perfect view of izzy while his boyfriend (at least izzy assumes ed's his boyfriend at this point, they've made this a bit of a habit) gets the perfect view of him

it's not that unusual for izzy to perform for a couple, though more often he's requested for groups (friends, coworkers, strangers, sometimes he can't tell). mostly he prefers it that way - all the more satisfying when he can make everyone in the room feel like they have a personal connection with him. that's the name of the game right, to make them want and feel wanted?

but this couple... they're different in a way that pulls at izzy's gut and makes him ache. stede watches izzy with devotion and izzy's learned what makes him bite his lip, what makes his eyes flutter, and how to get his head to tilt just so. his gaze is intoxicating, full of open adoration izzy wants to drown in

while stede watches izzy, ed mostly watches stede. sometimes he's leaned in close to stede's ear, whispering words izzy can never quite make out. what he can make out are stede's reactions, expressions unrestrained and on full display for both of them. sometimes ed leans back against the wall, one hand or the other resting on stede's thigh or hip or lower back. one time izzy notices them hold hands, fingers laced together, and it makes something else in him ache. other times ed actually does watch izzy, with his chin resting on stede's shoulder and something deep, something hungry in his eyes consuming as much of him as they can

personally i think, just like it's important for any given person to be in touch with their "feminine" side, i also think it's important for everyone to be in touch with their "masculine" side. nobody is 100% stereotypically masculine or feminine. even the girly girls each have some sort of quirk that's considered traditionally masculine, and even the most manly men have some traditionally feminine traits. the sooner you realize this the sooner; not just for the wellbeing of others but also for yourself and allowing yourself to discover hobbies and interests you enjoy and getting rid of any shame you have over habits that don't fall into the "masc" or "fem" image you've curated. be yourself be unique be a monster

I know I'll sound like a lunatic but I miss working in customer service SO MUCH. My favourite thing was when a random customer would approach me and go "Hey uh excuse me, do you know where I could find canned beans?" I have no fucking clue sir let's go find out

also reader constantly trying to bite darling + the tsaritsa when their being affectionate but they just think your play biting bc its like being stabbed by a wet noodle. keep doing it long enough and they'll start biting back though. gonna walk out looking like you just got mauled

also darling only letting you feed from them or the tsaritsa. they say it's bc you deserve only the best of the best, but your 99% sure it's because their blood, and the tsaritsa's to a lesser extent, makes you drowsy and docile. it's addicting too.

you managed to run away a total of once, and the moment you tried to drink any blood other then theirs, it made you sick.

so now you just angrily seethe in darlings palace while they coo about how cute it is when you pout. everything you do is cute to them. biting?? just play bites. your fangs aren't even strong enough to break their skin, and theirs are so much bigger then yours. they just find it adorable. most of all they find your blood drunken state directly after feeding adorable too. they get to pamper you and be as affectionate as they please without you biting and twisting about. if you drink darlings blood, doubly so, as you seek out affection. nuzzling into their palms and being so sweet for them..

hm. i've been quiet abt it bc i don't really like being negative on here but honestly the new furby design is. disappointing idk. absolutely nothing against people who like it ofc, and there are def some cute aspects. but it sucks to see that the design is so far removed from original furbies and just doesn't have the same charm idk. the connect was already straying pretty far but honestly i kinda like connects bc the shapes are cute but. idk the 2023 furbs just seem like they're trying to hard to be cutesy and it just feels sort of forced?? if it appeals to kids and young people get to enjoy it that's awesome and honestly that's kind of the point. but i do get why people are unhappy with it. like in regards certain aspects like the eyes the fixed beak & the way it's like. super difficult to take apart bc of the clips and stuff. i can totally see why a lot of customizers especially aren't happy with it. i'm sure lots of people have said the exact same stuff but yeah overall i feel like. relatively neutral to the whole thing idk it's nice to see furbies being produced and sold again and yeah it is cute but i get why people aren't loving it. that said ofc there are people who do love it and that's totally okay. regardless if you love it or hate it what's not okay is people within the community being rude to each other based on whether they like it or not cmon. it's not for everyone but if people do like it that's their business and there's no need to be rude!!! but on the other hand if people have complaints about it they should be allowed to voice that as long as they're not being mean yknow. letting it cause a rift in the community is silly. but anyways

#sorry for the super long post #but yeah these are just some thoughts abt it. idk personally i don't love it it's not for me #but i can acknowledge that other people and kids especially are enjoying it and that's good!!! #i hate being negative on here so i wasn't even gonna voice my opinion on it. but like #i personally do not really like booms n 2012s to be honest. the like digital eye thing and everything idk it's not for me #connects too they're just. not my fave. but honestly they're aesthetically very nice i think?? just not the bluetooth aspect and fart jokes #but idk it does feel like with each new model it gets further and further from the originals and ik ik that's what a redesign IS but #i do kinda wish they went back in the other direction a little idk. there's a reason why 1998s and 2005s are the most popular models #and i truly don't think it's bc they're considered retro or whatever i think it's bc they're a little out there and very unlike other toys #and the whole cutesy rainbow thing is. i totally get why some people love it!!! but you can't rlly deny that it's not really unique #but. idk. i do get both sides of the argument. personally i would have loved smth a little more adjacent to 1998s #that said. a lot of ppl do find 98s creepy and weird so from a sales perspective i get why they might not be. marketable #bc i guess a lot of kids might find them offputting #also correct me if i'm wrong but i think the 2023s have painted on eyes?? which. Don't Like. #didn't love the digital eyes either bc i keep the batteries out so they're just blank for me which is kinda boring #and i don't love the digitization of everything like 😭 idk. so i'm kinda glad they moved away from that #but if they're painted/printed idkkkk. i'm an eyechip girly i think they're great honestly #they're just nice to work with for customizing especially. also keep in mind w my opinions i primarily am a customizer so #i do kinda view it from that perspective #ANYWAY feel free to rb or comment or whatever and lmk ur thoughts. i genuinely do not want to get on here and be negative #or say anything that would upset anyone bc i imagine some anti 2023 furb ppl have probably been pretty nasty #honestly i haven't been online much at all so idk but i can imagine 😭 i ain't wanna come on here and be like BOOOO I HATE IT #i don't hate it tbh i just don't love it yk. but i'm not gonna shit on people who do love it
