Anne Pratt, C1890 Botanical Prints, Antique Beautiful Wildflower Flowers Yellow Purple Green Summer Plant Nature Home Wall Decor Color Printed Woodblocks Published C1890, London for "Wild Flowers" by Anne Pratt. Paper Original antique botanical print from The Flowering Plants of Great Britain. • Original antique chromolithograph botanical print • By English botanical illustrator Anne Pratt • Circa 1855-1866 • Approximately 5.5 x 4 inch (14 x 11cm) • Paper is medium weight, blank on the back, and has the natural binding edge • Prints of this age show expected signs of age - like darkening around the edges (see photo for actual condition). The colors remain vibrant and the paper stable. • Only one available • Ships next day • Anne Pratt (1806-1893) from Kent, England, is one of the best known botanical illustrators of the Victorian age. She wrote and published over 20 books. Although she was self-taught, she was said to be responsible for popularizing Botany. Pratt developed her education in Botany due to poor health and a stiff knee as a child, which encouraged her to draw to occupy herself. • This print is from the first-edition three-volume set of The Flowering Plants of Great Britain, c. 1855-1866, and later changed to The Flowering Plants, Grasses and Ferns of Great Britain. • The prints, or plates, are made by a form of printing called chromolithography. The process involves printing each color individually. The colors are oil-based, and when multiple colors are applied, the outcome is a vibrant print with a depth that is similar to a painting. • Publisher Frederick Warne & Co. is widely known for their illustrated books, especially children’s books featuring animals and the outdoors. The print is a beautifully detailed chromolithograph, printed on medium-weight, creamy colored paper, blank on the reverse. This print would look lovely if mounted and framed, either on its own, or in association with one of our other botanical illustrations. Condition: • Being that this print is over 150 years old, it is in good condition. The colors remain vibrant and stable. The paper is medium weight, strong and not brittle. The reverse side of the print is blank. This print is a full untrimmed page and therefore the binding edge is naturally uneven. As with all items of this age, there may be some slight characteristic foxing, marking etc... but the condition of this one is good, and the image is clear and bright. • • Please look at the photos carefully, including cropped detail photos, which will show you more than you can see with your eyes alone. • • All items are stored in a smoke-free and pet-free home. Note: Images in the home decor mockup are for reference only. You will get the main image advertised. All prints, whether antique, vintage or modern should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight. Please look at our other prints and upcycled books, or contact us if there is something special you are looking for - we are happy to help! plant art, botanical prints, room decoration, art print, antique flower print, flower print set, wildflower print, flower wall art, antique botanical, botanical poster, vintage flower, Anne Pratt http://springsofeden.myshopify.com/products/anne-pratt-c1890-botanical-prints-antique-beautiful-wildflower-flowers-yellow-purple-green-summer-plant-nature-home-wall-decor

A penchant for detail is revealed in the subtle handling of the master bedroom's draperies and bed linens. The effect is rich and light - the perfect backdrop for the Louis XV-style bed, handcarved by New Orleans craftsman Fred Kempf.

Oom sha la la~~ 🐛🌱✨
I made this after seeing Haley Heynderickx live in Pasadena a few months ago (and of course I didn’t post it until now haha).
I made it trying to incorporate the whole album ‘I Need To Start A Garden’ but I seem to have gravitated towards the song ‘The Bug Collector’. During the show she mentioned that a new album is in the works (which is why I only have one photo haha), an album which resonates with her life now. Her music is so beautiful, complex, and inspiring and I’m just so excited for it!

Super happy - My bat posters made it to Fonts in use !
As a graphic designer, i treasure this website and its amazing graphics, so i'm excited to have my work featured on it ✶
It's great to have these under documented bats shared around too - even if it's to type lovers ;-)
Not only that, but it's also the first submission in Tok Pisin, a widely used language of Papua New Guinea.
Finally, It also is the first use of Nyght Serif submitted to the site - Nyght Serif is a stunning font by Maksym Kobusan, and it was used in different styles throughout the poster.
Unique yet easy to read, its dark italic style has shapes not that far off from the curves of bat wings... it was the perfect candidate for this project !
If you like beautifully drawn letters, Tunera Type is an awesome foundry full of unique fonts - all free for personal & commercial use.
