Uhhhhh last night I went a little silly lil crazy.
I was suddenly consumed by the urge to doodle the Eyes, Summer and Ben. There's Nothing going on, they're not connected outside of being in the same canvas. I rememberd why I never doodle Ben. I can never draw his hair right. But.... I needed to spread the Freckled Ben propaganda I started with my friend.
Ben is looking up because uhhh he was originally under Summer, but I had to change canvas size to send in a discord so I had to move him.
Anyway I hate PE, BE and Ben's hair, but they're a bunch of characters that have lived rent free in the blorbo ikea since like. Late 2010. Mmmmaybe early 2011. Anyway they're special to me. (Even if I hate Purple Eyes/pos.) (He's literally such a good villain I love him as a character, but like. I also hate him. It's like that one SpongeBob meme.)
Also. I believe in the protag duo having different shades of brown eyes (amber VS hazel) and their hair being different shades (Ben's looking redder, especially in bright light)

What's a happy adoption story that's occurred on the island? Conversely, what's one of the worst adoption attempts seen?
All adoption stories have a lot of joy in them for us at Dotaku, but I suppose one or two stand out.
We had a seemingly lost and quite old Mawile handed in to us, clear care put into their lifestyle, it's teeth were in good condition for its age, it had no illness, clear and soft skin, creeping joint aches but it was to be expected for the pokemon age, but it had no pokeball, so no trainer ID to return them to.
We expected someone to come for it, we even put out posters on the mainland to help find its trainer, but no one came forward. We eventually posed the topic of rehoming to the pokemon and it firmly refused, we did not bring it up again. This pokemon would sit every time people came off the boats at the dock as if waiting for someone, and each time would walk away dissapointed.
Five years passed, it had never given us trouble, was well behaved and kind in nature, even partook in plnety of island events with time, became one of the permanent fixtures here.
And then out of the blue, an old woman turned up with her grandson, visitors. We were made aware of the dimensia she was living with just in case she wandered off, and catered to it no problem. Staff report that she walked around without issue, enjoyed the grounds just line anyone else, until that is, she spotted this one Mawile, and the pokemon saw her, the two had a moment of recognition.
Theyre both in tears as soon as they reach eachother, the Mawile ran for this woman, we didnt know if it was hostile or not at first, but nope, there as a big hug shared and progressive tears. The grandson filled us in that his grandma use to have a partner but came from a village that just lived with pokemon, no balls, no fancy items, just a mutual choosing. But the Mawile had been stolen by a young trainer passing through years ago, with no pokeballs to stop the capture process, the boy assumed someone caught the pokemon and left with it, seperating the pair. It was kind of the one thing his Grandma would always look for in her later years, forgetting that she'd lost her beloved partner, becoming increasingly worried repeatedly as her illness worsened over the years. It caused a lot of grief.
we can only assume the pokemon got free or released, and was handed in to the island as a "difficult case" due to its reluctance to listen to others.
The woman went home with her pokemon, reunited after 5 long years apart, it brought a tear to plenty of the staff's eyes thats for sure.
On the opposing end we've had plenty of shady folk come in and try to adopt from us, but theres a few measures we put in place when were suspicious. I dont discuss the security precautions we apply in these cases to hide the pricess and keep the pokemon and staff safe here.
Despite this, one or two slip the net on rare occasion, it happens, were not perfect. One that stays with me was a woman who came in to look for a partner, making all the best attempts to charm a quite fantastic little Treeko, a rare variant with fantastic leopard markings. She was forthright and seemed ordinary, we went through our regular security checks and nothing came up on her ID, figured it was a fine match. So she went through the process of adopting, staff saw no red flags. I kick myself now, if i'd been around her with Val we could have stopped this, but i'd been too busy with other jobs to oversee that particular case.
She leaves with the pokemon, and we're none the wiser, but anyone who knows us, knows we do home visits after adoption to make sure a pokemon is happy and well. usually 3 within the year. Some of our staff turn up to an abandoned building, no pokemon, no people, nothing. The hunt began, Grey was quick to try to see if the pokemons ID had been pinged at any pokecentres, but nothing came up. We kept looking, and called in some favours at the local ranger bases and police stations to watch.
Eventually someone spots the woman in question, two regions over in Hoenn, selling eggs. She got pulled over for trafic violations while driving and got flagged. I went over personally to see what was going on, and turns out she was illegally breeding rare species to sell for huge money. The treeko was in BAD condition by this point, we took it back along with two dozen or so eggs, another Sceptile, and a pair of shroomish with unsual patterns that were on their last legs. She was taken to court for cruelty charges and served time.
The pokemon however were fine in the end, took some time to rehabilitate them, but they still hang around the island, that experience was traumatic for them so they choose to stay with us for saftey sake. We have no issues with this, and have since tightened our security checks. The womans trainer ID was a fake, a really convincing one, we messed up. It's cases like that that'll push us to all do better however, we learned a lot, and hold onto those failures to push forward in a better way.
Just glad the pokemon survived and are now healthy and happy.

PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE ( information everyone can know )
Tumblr media
Silva can hear the hearts and voices of Pokemon. This applies to all types, from Ultra Beasts to Paradox Pokemon and anything in between. Silva does not hide this fact.
Silva has the dream to befriend and help as many people as she possibly can. Above all, she wants to make people happy.
Silva's full name is "Bagatella Silva."
At age six, Silva was found by social services and taken in by Lysandre Labs.
In Kalos, she is a semi-public figure.
Silva has been to every region at least once.
Silva only has one eye, lost before she went missing.
Silva's "disappearance" is public knowledge. There were multiple broadcasts over the course of multiple months in Kalos about her going "missing." The case has never quite gone cold, after a year, it was once again brought to the public eye.
Prior to Silva's disappearance, she was known to have a Shiny Amaura named Boreas, and a Klefki named Keyley.
According to Silva, Keyley is "mute" as they don't speak at all, nor do they really jangle.
Silva uses a custom blue Holocaster.
Prior to being found and taken in, Silva was known around Snowbelle City--and in some cases as far as Anistar City--to be a "cryptid" or "mysterious creature" living in the Snow coated forests. Many believed she wasn't even alive, to the point where some thought she was the spirit of a dead child.
Silva can make Pokepuffs, Poffins, and Pokeblocks.
Spottings of Silva a year after her disappearance have reported her having horns and a tail that bare a striking resemblance to the legendary "Yveltal." Whether or not they're fake or not is up for debate.
Silva's scars are grey splotches with bright red vein-like streaks across them.
Silva is extremely technical apt. In another life, she could have possibly been an inventor, but currently uses her skills for things like hot wiring and hacking.
Silva has the bird smell.
Tumblr media
SEMI-PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE ( information lesser know )
Tumblr media
To escape Kalos, Silva used the train from Couriway Town to Nimbasa City in Unova.
Silva knows of Team Flare's existence, but not what they actually want. The reason Silva gives those that ask for why she 'ran from home' is because she needs a break from home and her family.
Silva was experimented on to some capacity. She emits an aura that often makes other pokemon confuse her for a legendary or powerful pokemon.
Silva's Amaura and Archen were both revived by Team Flare.
Keyley was originally owned by an Admin in Team Flare
Silva lost her eye during a procedure.
Silva escaped Kalos a month after she lost her eye.
During Silva's time running in Kalos, she wore a fennekin mask to keep her identity concealed. She would wear this mask again while she was in Paldea due to how close it was in Kalos.
Silva can communicate with crystals, being able to hear their "hearts." This goes the same with even being able to communicate with supposedly "living areas." She can essentially communicate with the "essence" of an object or location.
Silva's main partner is "Murder," a murkrow she found during the first month on the run.
Silva is easily startled by loud noises such as gunshots and fireworks, to the point where it borders of fear of them.
Due to Silva's ability to talk to pokemon--and in turn Ultra Beasts--she has the capacity to understand Ultrahumans a lot easier than Humans, she even hear Ultrahuman's hearts, unlike most humans.
Silva believes that "going to a lab to be put under for hours on end on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis" is normal.
Silva has narcolepsy.
If you were to put a pokedex up to Silva's scarring, tail, or horns, it would identify her as an Yveltal.
All pokemon items work on Silva. As do things such as the shadowing process, ranger gear, and even R Gas.
Tumblr media
PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE ( information only specific people know )
Tumblr media
When Silva is forced unconscious or injured, her unconscious body will collapse and drain any and all life around her, leaving permanent marks where she was collapsed. The marks resemble her scars, with pink-red. She has dubbed this "setting off."
Silva has some form of dissociative disorder after the accident occurred.
Silva is extremely paranoid, though she usually hides it behind being extremely positive.
There are multiple locations that Silva refuses to go back to due to occurrences involving Flare that have permanently traumatized her from going back to. She blames herself for those such events, as if she was not there, nobody would have gotten hurt.
Silva is the biological daughter of Amil and Andre Lacroix.
Silva was Conditioned(Pavlovian/Respondant) by Team Flare as a child. Keyley was used as the stimuli and can still be used as stimuli.
Boreas was purposefully given to Silva as a control factor to test the capabilities and potential of connection she could have with another Pokemon. Basically a prep for Yveltal.
Silva was experimented on initially to form a connection to the legendary pokemon Yveltal to assist in it’s use for the Ultimate Weapon. These experiments were largely successful, she now has a permanent artificial bond with Yveltal and is slowly turning into an Yveltal herself. Although her energy potential is beyond the original.
Silva knows the locations of every single Team Flare and Lysandre Labs settlements within Kalos.
Silva has hacked her holocaster so that she would could not have her information tracked by Lysandre Labs.
Silva knows basically every Team Flare scientist that was around prior to her running away, she knew them by name basis and even learned little facts about every single one of them.
The incident that caused Silva to lose her eye was a complete accident--later dubbed "The Accident" by Silva as well as a few members in Flare itself. This was the first time Silva "Set Off" and caused many Flare scientists to be turned to stone. This was the inciting incident that caused Silva to begin to think about running away.
Silva is incredibly unstable. She has little control over her life draining ability and any injury has a chance of causing her to set off.
Silva has the capacity to use pokemon moves, most commonly using "Phantom Force" as a form of teleportation.
Silva is not technically a "pokemon-human hybrid," she is a clone of Yveltal, her body is simply used as a "cocoon" that will eventually fully shift into an yveltal.
Silva's internal systems are almost liquid. She resembles the inside of a cocoon or chrysalis. It's a miracle she can still walk around.
Silva's blood is clear iridescent, and touching it will cause one to be imbedded with life energy. If too much makes contact, it could possible injure or even be lethal.
Silva has nightmares and night terrors. These aren't actually nightmares OR night terrors, but instead her accessing the mind and memories of the hibernating Yveltal.
Tumblr media
COMPLETELY PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE ( information not even silva knows )
Tumblr media
Silva's biological parents live in Anistar City, aware of their daughter still being alive, but never outright meeting her.
Amil Lacroix gave up his original name 'Bagatella Amil,' to further separate himself from his lineage and in turn, his daughter.
Silva bares an uncanny resemblance to the old matriarch of the Bagatella family a few centuries prior to the present, Bagatella Vasil. Most records of Vasil have been deleted or pulled out of public knowledge, however.
The reason Silva can talk to pokemon and hear their hearts is likely due to Vasil’s influence on connecting to the Sundial. It’s implied that Silva has a stronger connection to the ‘cycle’ itself, though it is unknown how far this connection goes. Silva is effectively immortal and is incapable of staying dead.
The name on Silva’s birth certificate is “Bagatella Ninette Azalaïs-Silva.”
Silva was abandoned in the woods surrounding Snowbelle City when she was around a month and a half old to die due to being thought to be “a demon” or the “reincarnation” of old evils within the family. Later, she was publicly reported missing and then a year later labeled dead as an assumption after the case went cold.
Silva has no soul. Or "heart," as she would put it.
Silva used to have a tracking chip imbedded in her neck. She still does, although it's broken and cannot withstand when she "sets off." She technically had two, one prior to the accident, and then another that was used as a replacement. This second one broke the second time she set off--soon after she ran away.
Area Zero--and what lies beneath it--are things that "draw" Silva closer. She has an almost obsessive need to go deeper and deeper, to the point where she has little choice but to go deeper with little thoughts to resist.
By the time she is done running, Silva has stored an incredible amount life energy inside her body. She could charge the Ultimate Weapon herself if placed into an absorber.

[ NG Poke Kids ]
So since I'm still figuring the ins and outs of the Pokeverse, I decided to use my more recent doodle page of the kids from a few months back as a place holder to help me figure stuff out.
I used the Hazbin designs as refrence to help sort out the possible colors and used pokemon character design as refrence for what their outfits might be. Honestly it feels so GOOD TO DRAW MY KIDS AGAIN.
After I finished with this, I've also started on making full body refs and I'm also putting together a new narrative for the kids, so that'll be fun : D

Fuck me I still gotta think of Pokemon but my brain is collecting to many at once. If y'all got suggestions lemme know.
Also, to give a clearer idea of the setting imma dump them in. For the Paldea story, the kids are all students at the school, possibly roommates, I dunno yet.
The dads all know eachother from their days of traveling as trainers, moms met eachother at different points, and the kids are all penpals till meeting up in Paldea for school. This might change tho.

i cannot believe i said it was bad. okay so final pokemon ranger thoughts: story is SO SO SLOW in the beginning. it really takes a lot of time to actually get around, and the rangers movement speed is JUST slow enough to feel a bit like youre trying to drag them across the screen. which makes the game feel extra slow.
but once you hit the second... maybe third island? then it starts to become more enjoyable. i really think this game is one where they give you other things to do besides the story, but at the same time because youre being followed around by companions it feels like you cant engage in that side content until the story part is complete.
by the time you get to the furthest parts of the game, though, the characters start to become really familiar and endearing to you, and even characters that i thought were annoying at first made me emotional by the end. i dont think the story is as good as the mystery dungeon games, but honestly i dont think many pokemon games can even come close to the mystery dungeon franchise so thats fair.
i REALLY like the way this game was BUILT for a stylus, and how smooth it feels catching pokemon. every time i fuck up i think "oh i could have just done better and avoided that hit" which i think is good. it never feels like im fighting an unwinnable battle (EXCEPT FOR TANGROWTH IN THE FOREST TEMPLE PAST MISSION. GOD.)
favorite characters are for sure rand, leanne, red eyes, and blue eyes. ben is also fantastic (i played as summer). god what a good game I HAD SO MUCH FUN I WOULD RECOMMEND PLAYING IT

Pokemon Battle Frontier: The Green Guardian
(Except Ash and his friends don’t exist and are replaced by my self insert)
The origin story for my Pokemon self insert and his partner Fairy the Celebi. Basically that episode of the anime, but rewritten so that I take the place of Ash and his friends.
Author’s Note: I go by they/he pronouns, but since this takes place before I transition, I use she/her pronouns for my s/i. Also her name is shown as [—]. Shoutouts to @kakusu-shipping this one’s for you bestie <3
*****
The portal closes behind her and her eyes adjust to her new surroundings. All around her are trees and giant spiky vines. It's certainly the strangest forest she's ever seen. She reaches out to touch one of the vines. It's nearly as hard as a rock, and it's thicker than her entire body.
Well, she can't stay here, so she starts walking, weaving around the giant vines as best as she can and avoiding their spikes. They seem to go on forever, as does the forest itself. Surely there must be other people somewhere.
After walking for a few minutes, she realizes that the vines are getting closer and closer together, making it harder to weave around them. They all seem to be coming from a common source, and this is it. The closer she gets, the thicker the vines get. She gets down on her belly and scoots under one last vine, and behind it, she finds an odd little creature lying on its belly on the ground.
The creature is green with wings and antennae. It's about the size of a baby, and at first, it freaks her out and she stumbles back. But then, she realizes the creature is hurt, covered in scratches and breathing really slow. Cautiously, she crawls up to it and gently puts her hand out to touch its large bulb-shaped head.
"H-hey... Are you okay...?" she asks, though she doesn't expect the creature to be able to answer. It flinches at her touch, one of its eyes opening slightly.
"Bi...?" it replies, then immediately passes out again. Retracting her hand to her chest, she ponders for a moment. She doesn't know what to do or how to help it, but she doesn't want to just leave it here.
She looks around in the immediate area and finds some berry bushes nearby. She collects a few and brings them back, offering them to the creature. "Hey, it's me again," she whispers to it, gently patting it to wake it up. "You should eat. Do you like these?"
It opens its eye again and tries to reach for one of the berries, but its arm falls back to the ground. Hesitating just for a moment, she picks the creature up and cradles it in her arms, then tries to offer it a berry again. Both of its eyes open and it takes the berry, putting it into its mouth and chewing slowly.
After eating the berry, the creature already seems to get better, a few of its cuts healing. Even its breathing gets better. "That sure helped, didn't it?" It looks up at her and smiles, then curls up on her and closes its eyes again. "You're still pretty weak, though. I should get you out of here. Maybe I can find a vet who can help you."
Still cradling the creature in her arms, she stands up and starts weaving through the vines again. She had only wanted to find a way out of this weird forest, but now she has another reason to get out as quickly as possible. She doesn't get very far, though, before a blue-haired woman suddenly appears, slashing through vines with the help of a group of hairy creatures with long claws.
"Oh, hey, you found it!" the woman exclaims excitedly. Another small creature runs up from beside the woman, calling out "Plus! Plus!" Startled, the girl takes a few steps back, hugging the green creature closer against her chest. "Don't be scared, I won't hurt it. I'm here to help."
"Wh-who are you?" she asks in the most demanding tone she can muster.
"My name is Solana." The woman gestures to the small creature beside her. "And this is my partner, Plusle. I'm a Pokemon Ranger." Solana speaks gently, giving the girl a soft smile. "Can you tell me your name?" The girl pauses and thinks to herself.
"What's... a Pokemon Ranger...?" she finally asks. Solana is patient with her, still smiling and trying her best not to make her uncomfortable.
"I protect Pokemon, like that one you're holding." The girl looks at the hairy clawed creatures behind Solana, Plusle who stands beside them, and then down at the creature in her arms. Pokemon... "That one is a Celebi. Have you heard of it?" Solana continues.
"N-no..." She doesn't bother telling the ranger that she hadn't even heard the word "Pokemon" until just now.
"Celebi is a very rare and special Pokemon, and bad people could come after it while it's weak like this. You have to come with me so we can help it get better and keep it safe. Can you do that?" Her eyes are still on the cre—the Celebi—in her arms. Then, she looks up at Solana. She wants to help it, and the ranger definitely knows more about this than she does.
"Okay. My name is [—]."
"Great! Let's go, then! There's a city nearby with a Pokemon Center. I can administer some first aid care to it now, but we'll need to go there to treat it fully." As she follows Solana, she asks her a few questions about Pokemon. The ranger doesn't seem surprised with how little she knows, maybe because she's a kid. Pokemon are creatures with incredible powers that live all over the world in unison with humans. Celebi and Plusle are just two of hundreds of different kinds.
"Celebi is a time traveler, protecting forests of the past, present, and future. It might've gotten into some kind of trouble in a different time period and used the last of its power to travel here to save itself," Solana continues. As they finally reach the edge of the forest, some tall buildings come into view. "Ah, there we go! Fuchsia City!"
As they exit the forest, the girl turns around and notices the giant vines start to disappear one by one. "The vines..." she whispers in awe. Now she understands. Celebi must've created those vines to protect itself while it was weak, but now that it's left the forest, there's no reason for the vines to remain. Celebi truly is an incredible Pokemon.
She resumes following Solana to Fuchsia City, but they both stop in their tracks as a giant robot appears coming toward them. "What is that?!" the girl cries out in surprise.
"Remember the 'bad people' I mentioned?" Solana groans back as an answer. "Plusle, get ready!" she calls, and her partner replies with a "Plu!"
"Oh great, a Pokemon Ranger..." one of the grunts mumble, and it's then that the girl realizes that there are two people inside the robot, both wearing uniforms with a big red R on the front. "You know what we came for, so hand it over!"
"I don't know how you found out Celebi was here, but you're not getting it!" Solana yells back. As she and Plusle engage in battle with the robot, the girl starts running.
"It's okay," she whispers to the Celebi as it slowly opens its eyes. "I'll keep you safe."
"Cele..." it mumbles back, worry in its big blue eyes.
"You're not going anywhere!" the other grunt calls from inside the robot. He pushes a button and a long claw shoots out from the robot's hand, pursuing the girl. She throws Celebi just as the claw grabs her. Floating in the air with its little bit of strength, Celebi calls out to her. "Damn it, I got the kid instead of the Celebi."
"It's alright," the first grunt says. "We'll use her as a bargaining chip. You hear that, Ranger?! Give us Celebi, or the kid's getting crushed!" To show they aren't bluffing, the robot grabs the girl in both hands and closes its claws around her. She whimpers, but doesn't cry out, trying to keep a brave face.
"Damn! Plusle, hold off your attack! We don't wanna hurt [—]," Solana calls. Plusle looks up at the girl with worry, then angrily stares at the robot, waiting for the chance to attack again.
"Clock's ticking, Ranger. We don't have all day," the grunt taunts, making the robot squeeze tighter.
Finally, the girl can't take it any longer, her fear taking over her as tears prick her eyes. "Help! Get me out of here!"
When Celebi hears her scream, a sudden burst of power returns to it. It summons a telekinetic wave that attacks the robot, severing its arms. The claws fall to the ground and Solana rushes to pry them open. Once the girl is out, Celebi sighs with relief, then passes out again, falling from the air. She runs over to catch it, holding it close to her like before.
"You were still so weak, but you used the little power you had to save me... Thank you." Solana looks over at the two of them, then back at what's left of the robot.
"Thanks, Celebi. Plusle and I can take it from here. Right, Plusle?" She looks down at her partner. Plusle charges up electricity in its cheeks, smiling deviously.
"What just happened...?" one of the grunts mutters as the two of them recover from the shock of Celebi's attack.
"Oh crap!" the other yells as Solana and Plusle rush in to attack. It doesn't take long at all for Solana to send them running. After all the commotion, she's finally able to call in backup for the disposal of the robot parts.
Walking up to the girl, Solana puts a hand on her shoulder. "You were so brave today. Thank you for helping me defend Celebi."
"I should be thanking you," she replies with a smile. "You and Plusle did all the heavy lifting."
"You should take it to the Pokemon Center in Fuchsia City now. The other Rangers and I can handle the clean up." She nods and starts heading to the city.
"Bye, Solana! Thank you for everything!" Waving back to Solana behind her back, she quickly travels the last bit of the route to get into Fuchsia City.
Though she finally arrived in a human city, she doesn't let herself get distracted, hurrying to the building labeled Pokemon Center. She rushes inside and finds a lady behind a counter.
"Hi! Welcome to the Pokemon Center. Here, we can heal your injured Pokemon to full health. Would you like to heal your Pokemon?"
"Yes, please! This Celebi needs to be healed quickly!" the girl exclaims, holding the Pokemon out to the nurse.
"A Celebi! How rare! May I?" The nurse takes the Celebi and turns around. The girl starts to panic when she notices the machine the nurse puts Celebi on.
"W-wait! What's that thing?! What does it do?!"
"It's alright. Watch." The machine blinks a few times, letting out a little chime. Then, quite suddenly, Celebi rises from the machine looking completely healed. All of its injuries are gone and it seems to be full of energy. Happily, it flies over to the girl, latching to her neck. She giggles as she pats its head. "See? Your partner's as good as new!"
She pauses when the nurse says that. Partners? Solana and her Plusle are partners. Best friends who work together and take care of each other. Sure, she helped save Celebi, and Celebi saved her, too. But, they don't have that kind of bond... Celebi is a wild Pokemon... "O-oh, no, Celebi isn't my partner. I just found it and came to get it healed..."
"Oh, well then, now you can release it back into the wild! It's completely healed now, so you don't have to worry!" the nurse replies.
"Yeah, thank you..." The girl sighs as she leaves the Pokemon Center. She should be happy, and she is, but she can't help her sudden feeling of loneliness. Even after learning from Solana about humans having Pokemon companions, she never expected Celebi to become her partner. After all, she just wanted to help it get better. That's it. Now that that's done, there's no reason for Celebi to stay with her.
She stops at the edge of Fuchsia City and Celebi, who was flying beside her, comes to float in front of her so that they're face to face. "So... I guess this is it, huh? Stay out of trouble okay? I might not be there to help you next time..." She would be if she could.
Celebi doesn't say anything in response. It floats closer to her, pressing its forehead against hers. She smiles and pats its head again, stroking the soft tip. "You should get going now. I'm sure you have somewhere, or I guess some when, you need to be."
Still, Celebi lingers, and it gets harder and harder for her to say goodbye. She turns away from it, and finally, Celebi rises higher into the sky, emanating a bright green glow. In seconds, it's gone, probably in some other time already. She sighs, blinking away the sharp sting in her eyes. Maybe she doesn't need a Pokemon partner anyway...
She doesn't know where she'll go next. Maybe she'll just explore the area around here. She is still new to all this Pokemon stuff, so it could be nice to learn some more about them. But, before she can even take a single step, she hears a woosh! and a bright light flashes behind her, the sound of a tranquil bell filling the air.
"Bi!" She gasps and turns around when she hears that familiar little chirp, a bright smile on her face.
"Celebi?! You're back! B-but, why... what're you..." She trails off when she notices the little green and white sphere in its hands. The only ones she's seen so far have been red and white, but still she recognizes the object immediately. "A Pokeball...?"
From what she learned from Solana, Pokemon who partner with humans are captured in Pokeballs. Pokemon who don't have Pokeballs are wild and can be captured by other people. So...
"You want to be my partner...?" Celebi smiles and puts the ball in her hands. She presses the little button in the center, and the ball activates, getting about twice as big as it was. Still smiling, Celebi touches the activated Pokeball and is absorbed inside. She gasps as the ball wiggles a few times, then locks. Immediately, she lets it back out and Celebi is back floating in front of her again.
Giggling, it latches onto her neck again and she wraps her arms around it, spinning happily. "So, you're really my partner now aren't you? Can I give you a name? How about... Fairy?"
"Cele!"
"Hehe, I'll take that as a yes! Fairy it is then!" She hugs her new partner tightly. "I promise I'll always take care of you." And unbeknownst to her, Fairy makes the same promise back.

Note
i know they’re canonically cousins, but Lance and Clair will ALWAYS be siblings in my eyes, it just makes sense!! they have too much brother/sister energy to me i can’t help it
bonus points Solana (pkmn ranger) is the baby sister of the bunch who gets somehow caught in the crossfires of Lance and Clair’s sibling bickering. (the blue hair connection just makes sense to me)
bonus BONUS points if when Solana left for Fiore to become a ranger, Lance just bawled his eyes out for an extremely long time because baby sis grew up too fast
(triple bonus if Lance’s work inspired her to be a ranger but she just won’t tell him all that now /j) —🐌
Same here anon!! I like to think Lance and Clair are basically brother and sister sometimes because I can.
Also!! Lil sis Solana is so smart!!
Honestly, G-Men and Pokemon Rangers felt like they should go hand and hand to me so that makes so much sense for Solana to be inspired by Lance's heroic antics.

Heavenly
Deep within the White Forest, a familiar shiny dusknoir was floating, slowly keeping out of view of any potential humans or pokemon that were clearly trying to catch her. It had been nothing but trees for the last few days. This was a blessing and a curse; it prevented the authorities from finding her, but also there was an utter lack of landmarks to leave or trace her steps.
Until she saw a cobalt blue light radiating from her left. Initially, she assumed the worst. It had to be some ranger group. Instead it was some kind of other worldly mineral.
As she approached, the details of the mineral came into focus. Despite clearly having weight, the construct as a consistency of liquid, causing light to shimmer off.
Inside the construct was a jirachi, far lumpier in the skull than others, having circular folds on the side and red crescent moon tastels.
Eyes opened from the mysterious creature. It was clearly mouthing something that Dela could not hear. The mysterious material had a sound dampening effect.
As if it was on command, the construct lost its mass, seeping into the ground without a trace of moisture.
Once the jirachi’s head was free of the container, the dusknoir could finally hear what it was saying.
Words were not spoken, but sounds were escaping the alien being. Vague facsimile of words, but it was obvious they enabled something if it enabled the mystic mon to exit the strange rock.
As the mystic finally fell silent, it finally landed on the ground with grace. Upon doing so, it opened its eyes, giving full attention to their watcher.
“Ah. A dusknoir. Perfect. A former human at that. Even better.” A very terse, blunt voice came from this entity.
There were several thoughts that were rapid firing in Dela’s mind. What did it matter that she was a dusknoir? How did they know that she was a former human? What was that alien language?
“Sorry. I should explain myself. My name is Apolly. Paradox Archivist under the command of Third Asura-Banya.”
Questions were not going to be stopping soon. That was way too many proper nouns that would likely lead down more bunnery holes.
Good for everyone involved, Apolly also seemed to realize this. “I work for a god to track and notates changes in the universe. Anomalies and sudden changes.”
Now the herald was speaking the dusknoirs language, she was nodding head in understanding. “I get it! So you track down paradoxes and continuity between different universes,” while she was a human, Dela had been writing a thesis on this very topic. If she were still an academic, she would have fainted. “I have so many questions.”
This made the jirachi feel bad. This was a lot to throw at a non-cosmic being. “I know this is a lot but-”
“That means paradoxes are a factor of the universe and are some kind of phenomenon that can be tracked and archived like the weather! This can lead to many other theories! I can potentially solve the God-Head Paradox, solve Atolmos’ inquiry on hypertime and even get several theories thrown out!”
Surprise. Pleasant surprise. That was the emotion that was going through the jirachi’s head. First mortal met since making contact and she was smarter than initially thought. A toothy smile came across the mystic’s face.
“Well you are a pleasant surprise! Someone who is not going to be confused,” the terse talking seemed to break. “If you do not mind, can you be my guide? It will make my job far more lively.”
Floating and talking it was then. This would at least be an interesting partnership.

Valerie's entire body still feels primed to panic. She's staring at the spot Gatz was at not fifteen minutes ago. A glance- again- at where Hilbert and Rosa were with Vivi revealed nothing. Not even the victory Pokemon got away. For what felt like the hundredth time, Valerie wished he'd hop on her and tell her it was a joke, that everyone went down to Route 1 or something and would be back.
The phone in the ranger's left hand was shaking, her trembling was visible. The contact screen was still open from when Valerie tried to call to see if Blue was still flying. Was there a chance? Scrolling down, there was Hilda's contact. Maybe, there was a chance. Tapping the listing brought up the call icon. Before Valerie could hit that, a giant red X appeared on the screen.
"Styl-ler! L-let me call!" Even Valerie's voice was trembling. Another X appeared, followed up with a text prompt.
I tried.
The call log came up. In the time Valerie stared at where her friends were, her rotom did what she tried to do. Call to Gatz, call to Hilda. Call to Lucas. Call to Red. Call to Rosa... Styler did go down the list. The most recent call was the one Valerie herself made to Blue. If any connected, she wouldn't have been able to place the call to Blue.
Breathe in. One... Two... Three... Four... Five. Breathe out, just as slowly. She can't panic. She had to fight the adrenaline pumping through her. Who was here? Valerie had the list of people she invited, but others came. The guy Rosa called Mochi Man was here with a friend. There was N. That one blonde lady, Valerie couldn't think of her name. There were so many.
And there was a way. It was risky. It would take up so much time. And there was the risk of losing everything again. The redhead's grip tightened on her phone. Her eyes narrowed as she began tapping the screen. She didn't care. That's what rangers would do. That's what she would do.
Call
Valerie put the phone up to her ear, listening to it ring. She had to find a way through the Ultra Wormholes. This was the first one that came to mind.
