I know Blossomkit had shown interest in medicine in Cats of the Clans and since she lives longer than she did in canon I gotta ask: does she get to become one for however long she's allowed to live or is she forced into the path of a warrior?

I only hesitate because Runningnose would not want to make himself replaceable by taking an apprentice at this time. He's tried to be careful, but he is in a Clan with many enemies of his cause.

But he will need more paws around, there are a lot of sick people.

He could have made an ironic promise, "...okay, Blossomfrost. Do exactly as I tell you, take no risks, and if we survive this plague, I will take you as my apprentice."

A. blossomfrost: white molly with ginger tabby markings and curious blue and yellow eyes. she doesn't rly have a solidified story bc she's been in a lot of different groups and her background has changed each time LOL but she's one of my earliest wcrp ocs!

B. soughcall: light sandy tabby molly with ginger and lilac markings and yellow-green eyes. daughter of loners who brought her to cedarclan out of desperation. she was quite the popular cat and ended up in a relationship with her two best friends, softbreeze and owltuft. the three of them had a litter of four adorable kittens and that was kinda at the point that the group unraveled rip but... she loved being active in their lives as their mom at least for a little while!

C. duckcurl: white molly with brown tabby and ginger splotches, curly fur, and yellow eyes. brand new oc who i literally came up w yesterday LMAO so she doesnt have a backstory yet... but she will 😎

D. bellpaw: curly-furred tom with a pale, pointed coat and deep blue eyes. never really got to rp with him much and put him in several groups so his story changed around a lot... but he is one of my all time favorite wcrp characters. i mean do u see his little floppy tail. come on. also fun fact in the group he was born into he was the son of the leader 😳

E. bramblingwing: white molly with calico patches and amber eyes. my GIRLLLL i had so much fun rping her but this was towards the time when i started Struggling and my activity in wcrp groups took a hit so i never actually met the qualifications for her to be a warrior and her littermates beat her to it :~/ the group she was in went inactive but i ended up giving her a warrior name years later bc she was SO close and she deserved it <3

F. mudbelly: speckled reddish-brown tom with vivid golden eyes. i loved this boy so much :"~) he was very mischievous and loved making messes and going on adventures lol. he's one of my only ocs who ever had a mate (the others are oakheart and soughcall!) but unfortunately the group shut down before they could do anything abt it LOL

G. warblerkit: long-haired blue mink molly with white splotches, one lapis eye, and one cerulean eye. my LITERAL daughter. she is very very very anxious about everything and was going to have a very cool coming of age character arc playing off of the fact that her older sibling was clan leader! but sadly the group closed right before her apprentice ceremony 😔

H. oakheart: dark ginger tabby tom with long fur, black and white markings, and yellow-green eyes. yes his name is oakheart yes i am aware there is a canon wc character named oakheart no i did not choose to name him this yes it has grown on me. my very first wcrp character and one of my all time favorites 🥲 he was basically firestar reincarnated but thats ok. he was so much fun to rp and was just abt to have kits with his mate when the group he was in fell apart rip

I. claudia: long-haired gray and white molly with darker points and kinked whiskers. ship cat who ended up coming onto land and had 3 adorable sons who i TREASURE AND CHERISH: luti (golden brown), corambo (dark red), and camillus (gray and white)! i got to rp these guys maybe like... one single time ever before the group shut down but i love them so much

J. swanbreeze: pale gray molly with tabby patches, tufted ears, sea green eyes, a twisted foreleg, and a twisted jaw. my second ever wcrp oc... her group unraveled and her family unraveled with it LOL but basically when she was a kit she and her three brothers escaped camp and were attacked by a hawk that killed two of the brothers and brutally injured her. her apprenticeship got delayed while her leader figured out what her future would be (bc she could never be a warrior due to her injuries but there were already 2 medicine cats including her one surving brother) but then some evil spirits attacked and destroyed everything (yeah. it was part of the group plot AND part of the drama that ended up tearing the group apart! LOL!) and she got separated from her family forever and abandoned in the ruins. still havent worked out what happened between that and the end of her life but my vision for her is that she ends up killing a hawk that attacks someone she loves (maybe her own kits? idk) and then decides she's "earned" her warrior name and calls herself swanbreeze after breezeclan (her home) as a way to honor / remember her family :"~)

BLAZING SKY AU: LIST OF RENAMES

I usually avoid AU's that change the names of well known characters, and renaming them myself, since I find tend to find it confusing.

However, one of the things that bothers me the most is the name repetition. No canon, I most definitely do not want two Tigerstar's.

For this AU, I will change the names of as few characters as possible, while trying to avoid repetition. For example, if there are two characters named Brownfur, one of them will have a name change, and become Brownpelt.

ShadowClan (headcanon) family tree draft 1

[GROANS OF PAIN] This one was way harder than the WindClan one because there are many major characters in here so I had to actually keep most relations intact to maintain the narrative cohesiveness instead of just going "fuck it we ball gorsetail is heathertail's mom now". Also, ShadowClan's family is INFINITELY more fucked up I just realized. While hardly any WindClan cat has a canon family and thus I can do whatever, ShadowClan is almost entire consisting of cats who do, and let me tell you the modern (as of ASC) ShadowClan consists of the tiger/dove family (+ grandma tawnypelt), the grass/stone family, the slate/cinnamon family (+ uncle puddleshine), blazefire say hello to blazefire, and... the snow/scorch family.

Now, the Snowbird x Scorchfur parents arc has FUCKED UP ShadowClan beyond belief. Snowbird has gave birth to three whole litters of three. That's nine fucking cats in total, she is a mother of NINE. Six of them are currently alive and still residing in ShadowClan. Two of them had kids of their own. She has six living children and five living grandkids. That is, (counting the whole snowscorch family, + uncle ratscar hello uncle ratscar) 14 fucking cats in this wretched family. ShadowClan consists of 28 cats sans the infants. Snowbird, Scorchfur, their spawn and uncle Ratscar hi uncle Ratscar take up 50% OF SHADOWCLAN. HALF OF THE ENTIRE GROUP.

There is no way to salvage this. No fucking way. Snowbird and Scorchfur cannot keep their god forsaken kindergarten. Fuck staying close to canon, I cannot do this anymore. Snow/Scorch now only have one litter; their second and third is shuffled over to Olivenose & Blossomfrost and Swampspot (Blossom and Swamp are former Canon Dead Babies I gave back the privileges of life in order to spread their genes in this hellhole).

Also: Russetfur, Blazefire and Cinnamontail (+ her babies) aren't on this tree. Russetfur and Blazefire because they are former outsiders that aren't really related to anybody so there's hardly any point, and Cinnamontail because ehhhhh I just didn't want to. She can still be Slatefur's wife whatever. It's good she is his wife because she's a former outsider which is fantastic hell yeah new blood whatever

I realized I had an opportunity to do something very funny and thus... I put Komaeda in Warrior Cats. I repurposed Hopekit from YS (Yellowfang's dead baby; she doesn't need dead baby angst she already has "my son grew up into a war criminal dictator and doesn't know im his mother because doctor nuns giving birth is illegal" angst) so that they're born earlier and a parent of Whitewater. Yep, that's Hopefire! He is a ShadowClan warrior and a proud single father of Whitewater and grandpa of Snowbird herself. His dad, Snowtuft, was residing in cat hell and legitimately didn't remember why he forgot his atrocities and then got fucking double killed his soul got GOT rest in rip Snowtuft, and his aunt, Sagewhisker, was a morally dubious ShadowClan's medicine cat and mentor of Yellowfang, whose most distinguishing character traits were 1) old, 2) guilt tripping Yellowfang into swearing celibacy to become her apprentice because she got cat superpowers or something 3) suggesting feeding cat cyanide pills to an injured teenager to Spare His Suffering instead of treating his injuries which is her job because like whats the point mannn!! (Yellowfang told her to go fuck herself and treated him herself, he actually ended up surviving and then dying in a war a year later <3) 4) suggesting Yellowfang either: cat abort(??) her illegal fetuses (i mean not rrly bad but how would that work + Yellowfang didn't want an abortion) OR wait until they're born and kill them (what the fuck) she could mean either it was worded vague as hell 5) died of a heart attack rip in piss. What a character

Anyway that's Hopefire aka Komaeda Danganronpa he's canon to the growling headcanon warrior cat universe <3 thank you for your contribution to the tree. Komaeda from warrior cats, his beloved baby daughter Whitewater, his evil amnesiac double-dead dad, and stinky celibate priestess aunt with a medical degree and something deeply, deeply wrong with her.

That is all folks. As in the previous one: green marker means no parents decided (or ive ran out of canon cats; most of them don't need specified parents anyway whatever), yellow marker means outsider, red marker means outsider that joined or was taken in by ShadowClan. Toodles.

Squirrelflight x Hawkfrost for hypokits, it's a weird ship I know..

That’s not half as weird as that Yellowfang/Mapleshade one I got…so have 2 AUs for the price of one!

In this AU, Tigerstar and Leopardstar are Politically Married to unite their clans, and after the Battle, Leopard realizes she’s pregananant. She swears her clan to secrecy, the three kits were abandoned by a mystery queen - but it’s kind of obvious to the other clans. That one literally is Tigerstar but golden-brown, Leopardstar, you’re not fooling anyone.

Over in Thunderclan, Firestar and Sandstorm try to be attentive parents, but things keep getting in the way - and when Leafpaw becomes a medicine cat, it’s so easy to forget Squirrelpaw. When the Journey happens, Feathertail is accompanied by her dear friend Hawkfrost instead of her brother. The Journey is mostly the same, but with Hawk and Squirrel bonding over Weird Family Dynamics and Feathertail managing to cushion her fall on Sharpclaw’s corpse - broken ribs and a crooked jaw like her grandfather, but blessedly alive.

When the cats return home, Squirrel is promptly told off for leaving without telling anyone, with Firestar assigning Brambleclaw (who also left without telling anyone) to be her watcher. Squirrel snaps, bolting out of camp and heads to Riverclan. Leopardstar tries to throw her out, but Hawkfrost and Feathertail convince her to let their friend stay. When the clans set off, Firestar keeps trying to get his daughter to “see reason”, and Sandstorm and Leafpaw just outright ignore her, to their clanmates displeasure and confusion. When everyone gets settled in, Leopardstar officially invites and names Squirrelflight, and she and Hawkfrost start getting a deeper relationship started, with healthy boundaries and communication. Bramble ends up luring Leopardstar into the fox trap, and a furious Tadpolepelt and Hawkfrost put him down. Shortly after, Squirrelflight has their first litter, followed two years later by a second, and then the pair adopt a trio of lost kittypet kittens named after their hoarder owners favorite childhood tv show. Suggested Warrior names are Blossomflight/Blossomfrost, Bubbleheart/Bubblesong, and Buttercupclaw/Buttercupleap!

they probably remember Badgerpaw, who was killed on WindClan's territory, only a kit of three moons

they remember the murders of Marigoldkit and Mintkit and how Yellowfang was framed as the killer - something they probably wouldn't believe because their father was her apprentice

she saw the barbaric battles between apprentices - she saw Mosspaw and Brownpaw

she recalls how Blossomfrost and Swampfire had scars before they were even six moon old - cats who were only a few moons younger than her and her siblings

how Blossom almost died during 'training' against Clawface

and Swampfire had two close calls - once during the same battle that killed Badgerpaw and once more when ThunderClan came in to stop Brokenstar and they threw themself at warriors and had to be dragged away by Dawncloud to stop them from being killed

they remember how certain mentors were training cats - young cats - to kill without mercy

and as they witness Gorsepaw die, she decides then that she would never let another warrior lay a claw on an apprentice

Um probably still Blossomfeather or maybe Blossomfrost. She would be a good mom due to her wanting everyone to tell her what a good mom she is and how amazing and pretty her kits are. She’d work really hard to make sure no cat starved like her mom did.

I did a pretty big shuffle over here because of Timeline Shenanigans. I'm making Ragged and Yellow VERY old by the time of TPB, so that means their parents can't be having MORE children. Featherstorm would be like, 18 lmao

So instead, Dawncloud is Raggedpelt's full sister, not ridiculously younger half-sister. She's also an old friend of Yellowfang's, bringing the original TPB dynamic back.

It is also stated in that original book that she lost "two kits" driving out WindClan. BB!Brokenstar only used child soldiers once, during that campaign, but it makes more sense that they were adult warriors in terms of timeline.

SO the current idea is this; Scorch, Moss, and Vole were on the front lines. Scorch and Moss were killed during the WindClan massacre. Volewhisper was permanently disabled in the assault. Dawncloud was afraid that she would lose Vole too, and joined Nightpelt's Coup to protect him.

Also extra stuff;

Scorchflare was named after Raggedpelt's pre-Honor Title name; Scorchwind. They are a repurposing of the original Scorchwind.

Scorch and Vole may be slightly older than Mossthorn, they're two of the last cats that Raggedstar named.

Scorchflare's suffix is actually a reference to the way prominent moths hold their wings, invoking that he's big and confident.

Volewhisper's is a reference to his soft-spoken and persuasive nature.

These is very metaphorical and evocative, in contrast to Mossthorn who Brokenstar just named in a way that sounded cool.

VOLEWHISPER is open to change though; I may make them Moss' twin and have "Whisper" be a Nightstar-given Honor Title to try and keep something very sweet and beloved from the graphic novels.

If that's the case, then their old name from Brokenstar was Volestrike.

Finchflight and Dawncloud are now similar in age, fixing the uncomfortable canon fact that Dawn was barely out of apprenticeship when a very old man had kittens with her.

I AM NOT SURE where Vole's kittens come from. They may have been adopted from one of his dead siblings.

You mentioned how Brokenstar made the kits warriors to take advantage of that loophole in Darkstar's Commandment, so I'm curious about names. Like Brownpaw, Blossomkit, Swampkit, Mosspaw. What are their full names since they skipped apprenticehood? Would Badgerfang and Volewhisper still have their names the way they are considering they weren't given those names by Brokenstar?

Speaking of them, several of these guys should survive into TNP imo... will consider which ones.

I like Volewhisper's name coming from Nightstar, but I've changed Brokenstar so much that I invalidated a lot of Exile From ShadowClan. Not because I dislike that story (it is my favorite graphic novel), but simply because it's not the story I'm telling

Vole and Badger's names won't be changing much, because I avoid renames.

But for fun here's rough draft names for each apprentice;

Brownpaw: Brownstone. He's very large and sturdy: if he survives he will be on ShadowClan's construction patrol

Blossomkit: Blossomfrost. I may save her for death in Runny's Plague anyway, since that seems more fitting than dying in early training. In her appearance in a field guide she was noted to die from Brokenstar's ambition and be spared from "greater horrors," I think that fits never seeing TigerClan.

Swampkit: Swampfang or Swamptuft. I imagine he's kinda wild looking, fur that sticks up all over the place, like it fluffed up after he shook off marsh mud. Probably related to Mistcloud and her child Kinkfur tbh.

Mosskit: Mossthorn. I would make a joke this brings to mind an image of a thorn in bedding, a 'thorn in your side', like Brokenstar just wanted a cool name without considering its implications.

Also, there is

Mintkit: Mintpool, Mintwater. Implies poison. His sister Marigoldkit was killed by Runny to frame Yellowfang, but he is alive at the time of the WindClan Massacre.
