An assassin who's sworn enemies with the Boundless Bandits, especially Bone Voyage. He's stoic, brutal, and hates losing battles with a burning passion. If you're his rival, you're living in his head rent free, so it's a win-win depending on the situation
He's also enemies with Crypta, (despite them wanting no part of this). Not only because of their association with the bandits, but because of where she got their armour...
When u run out into the woods in your socks to secretly learn basic magic skills that your mother figure never taught you to keep you dependent on her… 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
Awww, sorry, no can do. But I split it up and came up with this.
From Bloodthirst: That, however, was in the past. A task completed, and therefore of no consequence. He deleted it from his mind with little effort, stepping over the remains of a collapsed wall - still smoking, although he no longer felt its caustic effects in his transmogrified lungs. “Dear Jim, where are you?” he sing-songed, fangs bared in a mockery of a grin as he scanned the wreckage of the once-great house with every sense available to him - mortal and Other.
From an unpublished WiP with the working title Bloodlocked: As her trembling eased and her heart rate slowed to normal, she forced herself to think logically about it. Yes, Sherlock seemed to bear a passing resemblance to the vampire she'd nearly gotten herself killed by, but there could be dozens of explanations for that similarity, starting with the simplest: her memory was playing tricks on her. Or he might even be a living, human descendant of the vampire; Professor Helsing's extensive research had shown that the male vampires, at least, were capable of procreating, and of course it was also possible that this particular vampire had already had children before being turned. Or it could be simple coincidence, a passing resemblance...well, perhaps there weren't actually dozens of explanations for her recognition But the three or four she'd come up with certainly made more sense than a vampire being able to walk around during daylight hours.
Hey guys! Happy MerMay! I decided to draw my MCs Arin and Partillion with a gift for @thearcanafanfan (Amara and I share a name, Rigel is a mood, and thearcanafanfan is super talented/nice, go follow them).
These were supposed to be just mini-flat colors, but uhhhhhhh
This is probably gonna be the last Arcana-related project I put this much effort into for the next, like, month (might do something for Pride, idk) since I need to give my attention to drawing chapter one of Lions and Huskies: Or How to Survive Your Incubus over at @lions-and-huskies
Westwood looks so amazing - not only all your edits (which are beautiful and clean and look like theyre from a real show) but your worldbuilding and your characters are so interesting and intriguing! Is there anything you can share about the overarching plot? Is it an ensemble of protaognists or is one of your characters more focused on than the rest?
Sorry if youve posted about this or answered these questions before Im just really curious (and bad at navigating blogs) and I wanna support Westwood
Thank you so much, that truly means the world to me 🥺💕 Since Westwood is still so new to me (I literally created it five days ago?), I am still unsure of how it will be received, especially since it is heavily influenced by: Harry Potter, Vampire Academy, Twilight, Monster High, School for Good and Evil (just to name a few), so your words have truly warmed my heart.
Plot is as follows: Centuries ago, a Witch named Atticus Aimes forged a way to bend a demon to his will instead of the other way round, and Warlocked himself to a demon called The Fiend. The struggle of subduing The Fiend proved too great, and it, alongside the experimental magics coursing in his veins, drove Atticus mad. He became murderous, believing he was freeing people from their enslavement to an unkind God. The First Families – the first Witches to settle in Warwick – managed to seal and bind Atticus using a bloodlock; a curse that ensured Atticus would never escape as long as there was blood of the First Families flowing in their descendants veins.
It had meant to remain a secret, but the Vanderbilts, one of the First, desired power above all else and wished to uncover and perfect Atticus' charm. Destrian and Vera Vanderbilt, the founders of Westwood, revealed the blood seal to the Warlocks — particularly those loyal to The Fiend. And so the hunt began, unearthing and slaughtering the descendants of each bloodline. Ulric Baranov is of Dumont blood, while Ottoline Brassard is a Castemont – two of the First Families.
The story kicks off with Otto's father's death, which attracts the scrutiny of the Eldritch Council. Realizing Otto is not only an untrained Witch but also a Castemont, they send her to Westwood Academy of Magical Learning for her own protection, where they assign to her Thomasin Rothchild and Matías Vilades as guardians.
She is placed in the same house as Ulric, both of them being Witches. During her time there, she comes to believe that those who wish to do her harm have infiltrated the school when Lucille Burke goes missing shortly after warning her to "Mistrust the Mistress."
Although it will be written in the third person perspective, we see the story unravel primarily through Otto's eyes as she is our vessel into this world of the Recondite Citizenry. We learn and discover things about everyone through her, such as Atticus and Belladonna Aimes' relation, Lucille Burke's history, the history of the school, and Otto's connection to the Castemonts. But I would say that Thomasin and Eliseo are as much a part of the story as Ron and Hermione were in Harry Potter, and Ulric is pretty much with Otto 23/6 because they practically live together in the dormitories and attend all the same classes.
And on top of it all, Otto is dealing with an unnecessary amount of attention due to a protection spell her mother placed on her that thralls powerful mystical beings into wanting to protect her, an emotion that gets too easily mistaken for desire. (I wanted to play around with the Mary Sue trope of the girl who every guy she meets falls in love with her because I thought it would be fun to flip it a little, and make it all come down to a misguided protection charm).
The bloodlock is dumb. As Mafiso and vigilante people would die a lot. The bloodlock just makes no sense. With the trials it's not like someone unapproved by the bosses can become the next boss. And again- what if the boss is unable to have kids or dies before doing so? I'm just saying it wouldn't be hard to wipe out a bloodline. Secundo's bloodline is pretty much dead now because stupid 9th has no kids anymore and he's probably too old to have more kids. Giotto's bloodline is down to 2 and it wouldn’t be hard to kill 2 people. So not having a way to get rid of the bloodlock considering it's part of the tri-ni-sette would be so dumb.
As for the Vindice why would any of them break Omerta? What reason would they have for telling civillians/ outsider about the mafia? Also a little annoyed they never stopped the Esteranto
I was suggesting that Tsuna would be breaking omerta, not the Vindice. It could also be that the ring has to be blood locked due to it’s nature of following a generational line - given that the pacifiers can’t be given to someone else without dying, it’s possible that the vongola rings have to be blood locked, and can only be passed to another line once the original is wiped out?
Also, let’s not forget that Hitman Reborn changes it’s own lore EVERY SINGLE ARC, and is a series primarily about a young teen going into crazy-tunnel-vision in his underwear after being shot by an toddler with a chameleon shapeshifted into a gun. If you want to get logic out of the canon plot, you’re going to make yourself very frustrated very quickly.
Zaza is the only boy among six sisters. He's one of a set of triplets, the exact middle child, and by gods does he act it. A rampaging, flamboyant, eccentric gay he brings life and fun everywhere he goes. Guess it's a good thing he grew up in the circus, huh?
Zaza and his sister Zora - and to a lesser extent the third triplet Zoya - became trapeze artists and flew through the air together for years! It was amazing and fun, and they were all fast friends with the Bloodlockes, another family who lived and worked in the circus... and owned it.
Among the Bloodlocke family, there was a child nearly Zazas exact age. Arin. As children they were best friends. Then as they got older they became rival artists, even though their performances together were *Spectacular*. And then one night, they became lovers. They hated each others guts still, but they fell together into bed as easily as they fell through the air to catch and be caught. But then one night... disaster struck. A catch was missed and Zaza fell to the ground with no net to catch him, and the forced from his grip pulled Arin, and landed them with an injury too.
Zaza's pelvis was broken, and he had to stay in Vesuvia with his aunt while he recovered. It was during this time that he met 3 important figures in his life. His familiar, a field mouse named Mimi. Asra, then a wandering fortune teller. And Muriel.
@gentapprentices
Arin and the Bloodlockes belong to @lions-and-huskies
I’ve started a couple of art twitters! Links are being added to the link list on my page (because Tumblr gets messy with links on posts). And Mod has taken on an internet persona of Confetti!
I’ve gotten really into the Arcana Game lately and the Bloodlockes have been universe hopping as my MCs (wink wink).
