Not a question as such, but I just wanted to tell you that when I first followed your blog it was called lesbians4sokka. I also follow another blog called lesbiansforboromir. I just love the fact that two blogs with absolutely correct opinions use the same title. Makes me happy!
yeah i've def seen some blogs w the "[group] for [x character]" format since starting this bloggue, especially "lesbians4" or "dykesfor" lol. i've also seen some "comrade[x]" urls ever since becoming comradekatara. i should probably find this flattering, but tbh it just reminds me of how many followers i have on here, and it irks me. i never asked to be a #influencer........ :(

Top 3 ships
I'll preface this by saying I'm not a big shipper, but I can and will get behind any pairing with a fun dynamic or interesting story. I dont really have OTPs. And of course the ships I focus on change wildly depending on my mood.
1. Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy (DC): I have a lot of DC ships that I love seeing both in comics and in fanfiction, but these two are not only iconic but also fun. They're like top tier romance 24/7. And they are one of the few ships i have where splitting them up/pairing them with other people just doesn't work for me.
2. Percy Weasley/Oliver Wood (HP): this is one of those weird pairings that I don't remember when or why I started shipping it, but I have adored them since I was probably a preteen. They were roommates, they had a jock/nerd dynamic, they didn't get enough love in the books or in the fandom and I just latched onto them. They give me brain worms and I'm not sure why.
3. Merlin/Arthur (BBC Merlin): I'm such a sucker for stories about magic and destiny and medieval fantasy that this show and this ship just hit a sweet spot for me. Also the fandom especially for this ship, has so many wonderful stories capitalizing on all the what ifs and almosts that just pull me in.
First Ever Ship
This is a tough one, and honestly I'm not even sure. But the first ship I clearly remember having was probably Ron/Hermione back when I was in like second grade. I distinctly remember my older sister finding Harry Potter fan sites and printing off fanfiction for me to read.
Last Song
Bad Guy by Set It Off. I've been low key obsessed with this band and would recommend other people give them a listen
Last Movie
Glass Onion. I finally watched it after seeing so many posts about it. It was really good and i think anyone who enjoys a good mystery would like it. We had a family movie night and had a blast!

Technically I haven't started it yet but I'm going to read Every Heart A Doorway. I am so stoked about it because I've heard nothing but good things about it!

hiii okay it’s been a WHILE since we’ve actually talked but! you’re my only mutual who’s into the two princes and i was just wondering what the plot is and who the characters are and stuff? i really want to get into it but also i am clueless so. yeah. help 😭

Okay so our story begins with Prince Rupert of the West who knows that something is Very Wrong because the forest at the edge of his kingdom is invading. So he goes out to look for the Hollow of the Two Kings, where legend says that two kings battled a thousand years ago and created the cursed forest. If he can find the Hollow, he could save his kingdom!
Except he’s not the only one in the forest. He quickly runs into trouble and is saved by the dashing Prince Amir of the East! Amir my beloved, thank you for being so beautiful…. I mean brave! Haha brave totally don’t think you’re beautiful.
The East and the West are enemies. Deadly enemies. Rupert is wayyy less capable of beating Amir in a fight so he lies. He’s totally a thief named Fitz who has a Robin Hood situation going on and lives in the forest. Amir kinda hires him to lead them to the Hollow because as it turns out, Amir is looking for something there too…
I’m not gonna spoil the rest because it’s really and truly amazing but our cast includes
Lady Cecily- resident valley girl who owns my heart, she really has such character growth by the end
Sir Joan- she’s beauty she’s grace she will kick you in the face our beloved knight Joanie is just all around wonderful
Queen Atossa- Amir’s mom. Tbh we don’t know too much about her but we know she’s smart as a whip and tough to boot
Queen Lavinia- “if I throw more parties, people will like me more!”

For sea shanties and work songs I strongly recommend The Longest Johns! They do a variety of 'classic' sea shanties such as 'Drunken sailor' and 'Off to sea' as well as my current personal favourite 'The Curse'. Outside of The Longest Johns I would also suggest 'We all lift together' which is a lovely little work song developed for the video game Warframe, it's incredibly catchy and has a lovely beat!
Everyone keeps suggesting them and I literally love them to death 😂💚

Hello! I know that it is not actually a pokemon type so to speak but I'm staring down an essay deadline with less than half the word count. Would you mind talking about your favourite pokemon that is a dog or canine? Like the pokemons that are also dogs? Does that make sense? Sorry I'm very sleep deprived right now. Thank you so much for always being such a lovely presence on my dash and I hope you have a brilliant day!
Thank you for the compliments, and I would be glad to talk about some of my favorite PokéCanines! I’ll talk about all of my favorite canine pokémon, though please do note that I am leaving out the Ecruteak Trio because it is hotly debated whether they are canines or not and I do not feel like getting into that tonight. (For the record, I feel that Entei is definitely canine, Raikou is feline, and Suicune is too hard to tell, but still, I don’t want to get into it, so I will leave it at that.)
Growlithe / Arcanine — Probably my favorite of the canines for personal, sentimental reasons. When I imagined my previous dog in the Pokémon world, I imagined her as a Growlithe who would evolve into an Arcanine, because the PokéWorld doesn’t have a sheltie pokémon and I felt that the fluff and warmth of Growlithe fit her best, along with the ‘Dex descriptions of them being very loyal and willing to do anything to protect their trainer. My previous dog was exactly like that. But I also feel that Arcanine would be just such a wonderful pokémon to be companions with because they are gigantic, fire-breathing fluffy puppies, and riding them across the countryside would be AMAZING. (Not that I live in the countryside, but I do live in the midwest, so the plains are everywhere and not hard to find.) They’re just so good.
Smeargle — Okay, I will admit, Smeargle loses some points for being bipedal. HOWEVER. They gain those points back by virtue of how cool they are! While they’re not very useful in battle, sadly, due to low stats and the like, Smeargle are cool because each Smeargle has a different color paint (it’s not really paint, more a bodily fluid they use like paint, but close enough), and that as they grow up they let other Smeargle that they are close put their pawprints on their back. (So in other words, Smeargle A let’s Smeargle B use Smeargle B’s ink to put Smeargle B’s pawprints on Smeargle A’s back.) The ‘Dex always says “comrades,” but listen . . . we know what it means when two Smeargle have each other’s pawprints on their back. They are in love.
Houndour / Houndoom — ACTUAL HELLHOUNDS, THEY ARE GREAT. True, the fact that their breath smells like sulfur is kind of gross, but their design and concept are so incredibly cool, and I also just absolutely love the mental image of a Houndour puppy having gigantic paws they have yet to grow into. It’s just the absolute cutest. I also like to imagine that my current dog would be a mixed-breed Houndour and Poochyena in the PokéWorld, so there’s that, too.
Flareon & Umbreon — Listen, some of the Eeveelutions look like felines, some of them look like canines, and others (such as Jolteon) make it really hard to tell. But I’m convinced that Flareon and Umbreon are both canines, and I love them both. FIRST of all, Flareon DOES NOT deserve the hate it gets. It is small and soft and so incredibly warm, it CAN be useful in battle, and most importantly, FLAREON WAS NOT THE FALSE PROPHET AND DID NOTHING WRONG, EVERYONE WHO HATED FLAREON DURING TPP SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. If you don’t know what I’m talking about there, you don’t need to know about it, but just know that Flareon had a lot of libel posted about it and it was completely unacceptable. As for Umbreon, Umbreon is the Eeveelution I connect with the most given that I am naturally nocturnal, and I love how its rings grow stronger depending on what phase the moon is in. Shiny Umbreon is also choice. They’re definitely the best two Eeveelutions (though Espeon is also up there, sorry Espeon, although Espeon is also one of the feline ones and so shouldn’t be discussed here anyway).
Poochyena / Mightyena — As discussed in another ask, technically hyenas are not canines (or felines), but I’m still going to include them here because the localization team at the very least thought that Poochyena looked like a puppy (“pooch”), hence its name. I LOVE these two. Although my Mightyena ended up underperforming in AlphaSapphire, I’ve always loved the scruffy look contrasted with how loving and puppylike they can be. Also, again, I like to think of my current dog as a mixed breed Houndour/Poochyena, so there’s that, too.
Absol — Absol is another contested one, but I always thought Absol looked canine to me, so I’m going to count it. Absol is wonderful because it not only has a super cool design (though could also benefit from a dual typing, I feel), but also because this is another poor baby who has had so much unfortunate slander spread about it. Absol just wants to help! Absol wants to warn people! And people decide that instead of being grateful, they want to blame the messenger!! Absol does not deserve this at all, and the world likewise does not deserve Absol. That is a fact.
Lillipup / Herdier / Stoutland — Before anyone says anything, NO, these are not shelties. Lillipup is more like a yorkshire terrier, and while Herdier and Stoutland seem like they could be herding dogs of some kind (it’s even in Herdier’s name), I can assure you they do not resemble shelties. More like they resemble oversized yorkies. REGARDLESS, I loved them. Lillipup is adorable, so is Herdier, and while Stoutland is less cute and more gruff, it is also an absolute BEAST. BW confused me because I always took Cheren down easily, but Bianca regularly fucked up my shit with her Stoutland. (And yet they tried to make Stoutland Cheren’s ace in the sequels, smh . . .) My Stoutland was also very reliable. Very good doggos, 10/10
Rockruff / Lycanroc — WOLVES!!! FINALLY WOLVES!!! oh my GOD I waited SEVEN GENERATIONS for this!! To be fair, when I was a child I mistook MIghtyena for a wolf because of the coloring and the fact that it looked like a canine, but as I got older I learned the truth and was back to being disappointed. And while the fact that this line is pure rock (which has a million weaknesses) is disappointing, and while I’m also not fond of Midnight Form being bipedal, I can forgive it because we finally have wolves AND ALSO Rockruff is adorable and perfect AND ALSO because so is Midday Form. Plus, despite rock-type having so many weaknesses, my Midday Lycanroc is pretty strong, so. It works out.
Yamper / Boltund — Okay, I will level with you: a corgi evolving into a greyhound is kind of weird. Also, I do question why they used yorkshire terriers in Unova when they should have saved them for Galar, and instead maybe had like, American bull terriers (a.k.a. pitbulls) in Unova instead (although I guess some could argue that Snubbul / Granbull are pitbulls, but I disagree, I think they look more like English bulldogs than pitbulls). Regardless though, anyone who says that Yamper is anything other than adorable does not have eyes (the puppy has a heart on its butt), and also they are the GOODEST of puppers in how they bring your pokéballs back to you. And while it took me a bit to get used to Boltund, my Boltund, Poppy, is AMAZING and love her very, very much. This line is great and I love them. ♥
Zacian & Zamazenta — FINALLY, SOME LEGENDARY WOLVES!! And not only are they legendary wolves, but one has a tuft of fur it can turn into a shield around its neck and the other CARRIES A SWORD IN ITS MOUTH, HOW BADASS IS THAT. I do get a little annoyed when people call them doggos when they are actually wolfos, but that doesn’t change how excited I was to have some legendary wolves at last, particularly ones dedicated to beating up hellspawn from space. I love them, they are beautiful, 10/10.
So those are my favorite canine pokémon!! If anyone disagrees with any of these pokémon being canines, I do not care and I do not want to fight about it, please do not send discourse my way. And as a final note, here are two lists of future canines / dog breeds I hope to see in future gens:
Dog Breeds: SHELTIES, miniature schnauzers, Italian greyhounds, German shepherds, Siberian huskies, dachshunds, shiba inu, some kind of spaniel, chihuahua (and it HAS to be fighting-type, it HAS to), and many others. You can never have too many doggos.
I also have to have one more final grievance at the fact that we didn’t get shelties in Galar either considering that sheltie is a nickname for shetland sheepdog, and this breed of dog ORIGINATED IN SCOTLAND, which at least part of Galar (particularly the Crown Tundra) was inspired by, ffs Game Freak why did you miss this opportunity.
Wild Canines: Maned wolves, African wolf, African wild dog, dingos, coyotes, and just more wolves in general, honestly. I would say more foxes too, but we already have several fox lines, and while I wouldn’t say no to them, I want to see more wolves get attention first.
Anyway, thanks for asking!! I love Pokémon and I love canines, so this was a fun ask!

Hey y'all! Happy Pride month! Even though June is almost over, I wanted to write something for Pride. So this is a little cheesy, self indulgent one-shot of Billy getting some love and support from his teammates!
I'm also posting this for the following themes for the Pridewrite Challenge 2022: Parade (#pw8), Complicated (#pw25), Superheroes (#pw alt 28) Transmasc (#pw29)
I was going to do more stories for this challenge but June turned out to be a busy month and my fics always end up longer than I expect them to. But I'm happy to at least get something out for y'all!
This was partially inspired by all the wonderful trans Billy content I've been seeing on Tumblr recently, so thank you all for the lovely content!

WAIT! there's a shazam lego movie!? what it about?
Yeah there is!
It's called Lego DC Shazam!: Magic and Monsters (2020). It was one of those direct to video releases so not a lot of people heard about it when it first came out.
It's about Shazam joining the Justice League and fighting the Monster Society of Evil! The whole League gets deaged and Shazam has to be the 'grown up'. It's really cute and wholesome with a lot of fun Easter eggs for DC fans that know the comics! And like all the DC Lego movies it pokes fun at the silly and weird things in comics. I definitely recommend it to Shazam fans!

Those short sentences of your preview got me hooked, can you tell us more of your new billy fic please?
Sure thing!
So that little preview was from an idea I've had for a while but put on the back burner while I finished a few other stories. It's a lot darker than most of my stuff. I'm calling it Pretty Little Thing.
The premise is that homeless kids are going missing around Fawcett, but no one is investigating. Billy realizes the police aren't going to help find his missing friends so he investigates on his own, and ends up putting himself in the crosshairs of the serial killer who has been abducting kids that no one is going to miss.
When the killer kidnaps him, Captain Marvel vanishes and the Justice League have to try to figure out what happened to their teammate while trying to keep the public (especially the people of Fawcett) from panicking over his disappearance. But because they don't know about Billy they hit major roadblocks in their search. They have to come to terms with the fact that they don't really know him at all. They don't know it but they are racing against the clock to save Billy from a killer that only a handful of homeless people in Fawcett even know exist.
I really wanted to explore the discrepancy between Captain Marvel and Billy, especially a homeless Billy who doesn't have anyone looking out for him. It would also deal heavily with Billy’s history of abuse and abandonment as well as his struggles as a homeless kid.
Like I said it'd be pretty heavy but it would be interesting to write. It's been ruminating in the back of my mind for months so I'm sure I'll write it at some point.

Billy had heard stories about the old house on Willow Creek Lane, mostly from kids at school. They said the place was haunted. That people had died there. That no one survived a night inside. Kids would dare each other to go inside, but everyone would chicken out before they did. All pretty standard stuff.
Investigating it was supposed to be simple, easy. But he quickly realized he might need some help from an expert.

Warning for blood, murder, major character death, and completely messed up timeline
Desmond is hyperventilating and maybe panicking and most definitely fucking pissed.
The Auditore house is a goddamn wreck. Abstergo's little time travelling hit squad had done little to keep their actions quiet – and why would should they, considering their messed up mission. They're already changing the history of last 500 years, what's little noise and chaos in the middle of their past changing shenanigans, right? It's not like anyone in this time has the know how to realise that the weaponry used to massacre the whole family were impossibly advanced, really.
If Desmond is going to get his hand on whoever came up with this fucking plan, he will have some damn questions to them.
"There's someone here!" a voice – in modern, or rather future English – calls out, as Desmond hides behind the corner.
"A guard maybe?" another English voice answers.
"Find and eliminate them – well make it look like it was the Auditore that did it."
There's five of them – a five man band of time travelling lunatics, off to change the world. Desmond roughly knows where they are, but for all his adventures in Ezio's memories, he doesn't know this house – it's another place from before the Villa, and the layout is a complete mystery to him. So, he can't say where they are, or which way they might be coming, or what – fuck.
Hidden just behind the corner, Desmond calms his breathing and listens – there, footsteps, not particularly quiet all things considered. A gun barrel comes into view before the guy himself does – and by then it's too late. Desmond moves, quick and brutal, one hand grabbing the gun and pushing the barrel aside – other going for the guys neck just under the helmet. Snick, and the blade goes right in, just under the edge of the skull, into the spine at a perfect angle to severe it.
Desmond grabs the guy's assault rifle before he collapses onto the floor – and seriously, they brought assault riffles into the renaissance, who came up with this plan? Spinning the rifle around, Desmond swings the thing over his shoulder – he'd use knifes as long as he could, the riffle would be last resort weapon only – and then he sees it.
Just outside, in the hallway where the gunman had came from, there's a door open just a little – and through that door Desmond can see a little kid, watching him with wide open eyes.
Federico, Desmond knows – and behind him there's a crib. Ezio, Claudia, or Petruccio – considering how young Federico is, though… probably Ezio.
Desmond blinks at the kid staring at him and then looks to where the other gunmen are. Then, making a split decision which is probably going to get him killed, Desmond grabs the rifle – he's going to end this quickly and he's going to get the kids out.
"Hide," he says in Italian to the kid as he passes him by. "Hide, and stay very quiet."
Whether Federico listens to him or not, Desmond doesn't know – he can't hang around to make sure. He has guys to kill and no time to waste.
It's a messy, noisy, all around stupid affair – and in the middle of it he runs into four bodies. A servant is first, a woman in an apron with line of bulletwounda across her chest – the next is Maria Auditore, her face frozen in look of horror as she lies there, in pool of her own blood. Giovanni is not far from her, still holding a knife – it's bloody, so he managed to get some revenge, before getting gunned down by weaponry even the best of Assassin armour could do anything against. Desmond gets a uncomfortably long look at him, taking cover behind the corner he'd fallen against as he takes down the gunmen, one after another. In Giovanni's honour, Desmond takes his knife and uses it to kill last gunmen, throwing the knife through the hall and into the guy's throat.
He is then left in an ungodly mess of futuristic assassins, who'd murdered a historical assassin family, with all sorts of future weaponry strewn about the damn place – and with two survivors. The only bit of luck here is that both kids are far too young to understand anything about what had happened – and that can't really be called luck.
"Fuck," Desmond whispers, looking over the bodies, the weapons – the history, utterly derailed by Abstergo's stupidest plan to date. Go back in time, and derail all of assassin history at crucial point of history and development of future scientific understanding of the world, what could go wrong? "Fuck, fuck, fuck."
He ends up gathering all the explosives the future assassins have on their persons, before piling up all the bodies together and rigging them to blow – the best way he can think to deal with all the futuristic weaponry. Then, with a remote trigger in his pocket, Desmond pulls on one of Giovanni's coats, and goes back to the kids.
Federico stares at him like the devil, and Ezio is crying in his crib, wailing into the bloody silence that had followed all the gunfire. Neither of them take it well when he collects them up, but Desmond can't wait for them to calm down. The noise might've already alerted someone to investigate, and he can't risk contaminating the timeline more than it already has been.
"It's okay, it's okay, I'm going to get you out of here," Desmond babbles feverishly while carrying the crying, writhing kids out of the house. "I'm going to make sure you're okay –"
"Mama, mama, mama!" Federico screams against his shoulder, fighting every step of the way and Ezio just wails.
Desmond grits his teeth, feeling tears gathering in his eyes, but he doesn't let go of them. They're both so small – Federico can't be even two yet, and Ezio is just little older than a new born, neither of them have the strength to fight him. It feels horrible, all of it, and their cries are ear-splitting, but there's no choice.
The moment they're far enough away, Desmond crouches down to get one hand free before taking out the remote, and hitting the switch, not daring to wait a moment longer. The explosion that rocks the city of Florence would probably go into history, another bit of fuck up in already growing cluster, but at least it quiets Federico down, as he stops to stare in horrified fascination at the cloud of smoke, pillowing over the rooftops. Ezio though just keeps on crying.
"I'll take care of you," Desmond promises, more desperation than confidence in his voice. "I swear – I'll make this right."

See this is what happens when Capcom reduces DMC2’s entire plot to “and then some other stuff happens” in the The Story So Far video. You spend two whole years knowing absolutely nothing about the game and then suddenly — BOOM! — the concept of demons possessing random objects hits you like a brick to the face and you just have to act like it’s nothing significant.
