I’ll try to make a better post soon but my mom, my younger sibling and I had to move out on short notice due to an abusive situation. We’re in emergency housing atm and we really need help to cover the necessities like food and toiletries. We’re only allowed to stay here for a few weeks until we can find a new place so any help would be incredibly appreciated!
I’m closeted irl so I can’t give out a paypal since it has my deadname on it but I do have a gumroad and I can do sketches, art, writing, sensitivity & beta reading etc in exchange. Literally anything helps!!

can i ask for some thoughts? please feel free to ignore. this isn't on you and im talking to other people about it but you have a level head and i trust your instincts. long story short, i have a hijabi friend. on school trips etc we'd often room together and obvs she'd take the hijab off then, always making sure to lock the door first and it was pretty clear that from her this was deeply personal and a display of trust. thing is, i had problems w/gender even back then, but was super repressed, didn't have words for what i was. but now i'm starting to come out as nonbinary (toeing the trans line) and i'm conflicted about whether/if/how to tell her. i feel like i should, i think she has the right to know and i want to be honest, but im worried i've violated her trust or boundaries?
Of course, always! This is all personal opinion from talking to & listening to other muslims. I am not a hijabi so if any of my hijabi followers want to chip in please do!
That said, I think you sound like a great friend! I don’t think you’ve done anything wrong, questioning is difficult and you are allowed to take that time and that space to reflect without outside input for as long as you need. You don’t need to feel guilty for not coming out. The fact that you’re putting so much care and consideration into her feelings & circumstances is incredibly kind of you!
I think if you’re ready (and safe!) to do so you should ask your friend what she thinks. It varies from person to person who they cover in front of. Some hijabis want to cover in front of nonbinary people while some don’t. Others cover in front of some while they don’t in front of others.
If you’re unsure I think maybe asking questions might be the best route, or sitting down to say exactly what you wrote. That you care about her and you know this means a lot to her, so you want her to know that you’re nonbinary and thinking about your gender. You want her to be able to decide if she wants to cover or not in front of you because you know it’s important to her and you’ll respect her decision.
I do want to say that if she does choose to cover that’s her personal choice and nothing anything against you. Your relationship might change or it might not but regardless you’re not doing anything wrong simply by being.   I don’t think you should feel guilty if you can’t (or don’t want to; don’t feel obligated) to come out! It’s an incredibly personal choice, just like it is wearing the hijab.
I hope things work out for you both, and I’ll keep you in my prayers (or thoughts if that’s more your thing) I’m sorry it’s taken me a while to respond, please take care!!

With all due respect, but Fringilla is only capable of doing what she’s told.
