The day your father married Susan was simultaneously the best and worst day of your life.
On the good side, you got a new step sister, Max, who you absolutely loved. On the bad side, however, you had to move from your home in California to Hawkins, Indiana.
You were a year younger than Billy and a few years older than Max.
Even though he could be a major asshole, you loved your brother and he treated you better than he treated others.
You and Max hit it off right away. She tries to teach you how to skateboard and play video games and you give her boy advice and rides to the arcade whenever she needs.
Throughout the moving process, you tried to be there for your siblings as much as you could, knowing both of them were taking it pretty horribly. Max was leaving behind all of her childhood friends and you and Billy were leaving behind the house where you created so many memories with your mother before she died.
Starting fresh at a new school was tough for you and Max, however Billy seemed to be getting along pretty well.
Billy would threaten anybody who even looked at you the wrong way. You were his baby sister and he would protect you from anything.
You met Steve in science class after the two of you were partnered together.
He had already heard about a lot about you. You were Billy’s sister, which created a lot of gossip throughout the halls of Hawkins High.
Steve was a little intimidated by you at first, having met your brother already. However, as you guys talked, he realized that you were nothing like Billy.
You were quiet and sweet and you seemed to be really smart. Steve absolutely adored you.
It wasn’t long before you and Steve started dating, which frustrated the shit out of Billy. You were his little sister and of course he wanted you to be happy and loved but he despised Harrington and couldn’t stand the thought of his baby sister being around him.
This causes a lot of arguments between you and your brother because, while he really did just want the best for you, he was smothering you.
You and Billy didn’t talk for a week. With you angry at him, he took his frustration out on Max, which only made you more upset with him.
You frequently cried to Steve about your deteriorating relationship with your older brother while he held you. He felt guilty for being the cause of your straining relationship.
Steve decided to take matters into his own hands no matter how badly he hated Billy. They were able to talk things through and agreed to be civil for your sake.
Billy stared anxiously at the door, listening to the muffled laughter from inside. His stomach twisted in knots as he raised his hand to knock. As he did so, he heard the laughter stop and footsteps neared the door. You opened the door to find Billy standing there, looking awfully guilty. “Hey,” Your voice was small as you sent him an awkward smile. “Do you need something?” You asked, fiddling with a string from your pajama shorts. Billy peered behind you to see Max sitting criss cross on your bed, a few comic books and magazines spread around her. “Can you give us a second, Max?” Max nodded, excusing herself to the kitchen, smiling as you ran a hand over her hair when she passed by. You stepped to the side, letting Billy enter. “I talked to Harrington,” He mumbled, flopping down on your bed. He picked up a magazine and started flipping through it, rolling his eyes and scrunching his nose at the girlish nature of it. You furrowed your eyebrows, snatching the magazine away and placing it on your nearby nightstand. “About what, exactly?” You asked, the hostile tone in your voice was foreign to Billy and he didn’t like it. “We’re civil. If you’re gonna date him, I won’t stop you. But if he hurts you, I swear to god, I’ll kill him.” Billy stood up, crossing his arms defensively. You let out a small laugh at his protectiveness and wrapped your arms around him. “Thanks, Billy,” You mumbled as he returned your hug. “No problem, kid.”
You often play peacemaker between Billy and Max. They don’t seem to see eye-to-eye on anything. You eventually convince Billy to be a little less terrorizing towards her.
Max is grateful because, while Billy still yells at her when she’s a little late, at least he doesn’t actively try to run her over anymore.
It makes you sad that they don’t have a good relationship, knowing that Max deserves to have the same relationship with your brother that you had growing up.
However, somehow Max finds that relationship with Steve.
Max loves Steve, especially after he begins his role as “babysitter”
While she may not have a very good relationship with her real brother, she’s so appreciative of Steve and really begins to see him as a brother figure. She secretly hopes that the two of you get married so she can have him as a real brother.
Max often sneaks into your room late at night and climb into your bed. She gets a little scared sleeping on her own.
By some sort of miracle, you convince Billy and Max to have a movie night with you. You purposely chose the worst movies and spend half the night making fun of them. In the morning, Susan finds the three of you in a mess of limbs on the couch. There’s popcorn everywhere, Billy’s arm is wrapped around your shoulder and Susan can count at least six pieces of popcorn decorating his hair. Max is laying halfway on top of you with her legs slung over the back of the couch and her mouth is wide open.
Susan takes a picture, discreetly leaving it in your bedroom later that day. You keep it tucked away somewhere, not daring to show it to Max or Billy.
Your father is an asshole. While he’s never laid a hand on you, you can’t help but get sick to your stomach every time Billy has to walk around with a new bruise.
You try to get Billy to confide in you, but he’s just not that kind of person, choosing to deal with his pain by himself.
You do, however, start leaving bandaids and antiseptic spray in your shared bathroom. He appreciates it more than you know.
Steve’s house begins to feel like an escape for you. While you love your siblings, it’s nice to have a space away from the arguing and fighting.
Steve loves to take you for late night drives, especially if he knows things have been bad at your house lately.
Occasionally, Billy will hear a low rumble coming from outside, he’ll look out the window to see you drop from your window and run to Steve’s waiting car with your shoes in hand. Billy rolls his eyes, shutting the blinds and going back to bed.
Billy’s death hits the two of you really hard. Max spends a lot of her time alone in her room, listening to music and isolating herself. She really tries to distance herself after this.
You, on the other hand, take to sleeping in Billy’s room. The bedsheets smell like him and if you shut your eyes tight enough, you can pretend like your big brother is still there.
Your father and Susan believe he died in the mall fire, however you and Max know the truth. He died protecting Eleven, and by protecting her, he was able to protect the two of you one last time.
When your father leaves, you, Max, and Susan are left to fend for yourselves. You eventually have to move into a small trailer park across town. You make sure to pack all of Billy’s things up, keeping one box full of his things with you in your new room.
The death of your older brother puts a strain on your relationship with Steve. He wants to be there for you and help you, however, like Max, you isolate yourself, unable to bear losing someone else.
Eventually, you and Max are able to find your way back to each other, seeking comfort within your sister.
Max would protect Steve with her life. She swears to herself that she will never let you lose him. She cares about you too much to let you go through losing the most important person to you again. Late at night, when she thinks about dying, she often feels guilty for wishing she died with Billy. However, she knows that as long as you have Steve, you could get through anything.
She may bully him and rile him up, but if anyone ever even thought of hurting Steve, her brother, she would kick their asses.
While dealing with Vecna’s Curse, Max writes letters to all her friends and family. It takes everything in you to accept your letter.
You refuse to acknowledge the fact that your little sister could very well die while fighting this new threat.
In Max’s letter to Steve, she thanks Steve for being a brother to her.
She also tells him that if he ever hurts you, she and Billy will come back from the dead and make his life a living hell.
She signs the letter, “your baby sister, Max.”

Billy Hargrove x Reader
'Do you have my fucking Snickers?'
Summary: Billy is convinced between you and Max, he is going to die. It can't get much worse. Or so he thought. When both of your cycles sync, he is very convinced you might start taking action on all of the threats.
You lay on the couch, Max collapsed on the live seat. You continue flipping through movies until you see a horror movie rerun, you don't know which. You also don't care. Max liked horror movies and so did you, easy.
You hear the front door open quietly, Billy. He must be back with the candy. By now Billy has figured out how to deal with you both. Separately. He genuinely believed you would kill him whenever your cycle synced with Max.
On the first day he had made a comment about to much damn estrogen. He was not prepared to have a fork thrown at him. He was also not prepared for you both to hang up on him.
He called max a shitbird, like always, and had two women yelling at him for half an hour. Poor billy. Any gross comment would be deflected, you weren't horny this month.
"Do you have my fucking Snickers," Max yells. You look at him as he tosses a few candy bars at each of you before running. You scoff as he shuts his door.
"I guess that's the answer," you say and tear open a package of M & M's. Neither one of you would see much of him. Both of you had a moody month.
Billy couldn't handle dealing with you, and didn't know how you both did. He has seen you take a punch from one of the jocks and laugh, when he saw you clutching a heating pad in fetal position he was convinced you were dying.
It was confusing for him. One month you would both lay on the couch and cry together (despite the fact that Max wasn't on her period. Billy was also confused that if one of you was, you both matching the others mood) or you would both be yelling at anyone who looked at you.
"Fuck," you hear max groan as she adjusts her position to be in less pain. Billy had once said it wasn't that bad. Max kicked him in the balls. He was honestly terrified if he saw the box of pads out. It meant hell had come to the Y/L/N household. Your mom worked most of time, business trips and shit.
"Lucky prick," you mumble as you feel a sharp pain in your lower back. You didn't choose cramps, guys chose to kicked in the balls. If they weren't an asshole, it would happen. Regardless of your attitude you would feel like you had been shot.
"Cut off his balls and make him bleed for a week straight, see how he feels," Max says and you agree. Billy had come out of his room, very quietly, to see if one of you wanted real food. Hearing the conversation going on, he turned as white as a ghost before escaping to his room (and locking the door).
"I feel like I'm dying," you say as the pain in your lower back moves to your abdomen. Max groans in response and takes another Snickers bar.
Billy had to deal with the both of you for at least four more days. And he wouldn't be prepared for tomorrow when you both sat on the couch crying because you had rewatched a movie where the dog died. He would never be ready.

Ok I haven’t seen anyone do this one so I’m kinda excited to see it done, but if your not interested I totally understand.
I’m thinking a fem Hargrove reader x Billy Hargrove one where he’s the protective older brother. We all know Billy is an ass to just about everyone he meets but the reader is the only one who ever gets to see the real billy. They are only 2 years apart and she’s so much like his mom and is the only person that cares for him. We know how his father is and thinks only women should cook and clean and men should work. Well how about one day the reader is at home cleaning when she accidentally breaks a plate or something and cuts herself, she rushes to clean up the mess before her dad can hear but he does anyways. He yells at her and makes her feel bad and when she starts to cry he smacks her. Of course he leaves with Susan and by the time Billy gets home her face is bruised up and her hand wrapped. He’s mad and concerned and decided to pack their things and leave. (You can decide where they go, a friends, cali or maybe he’s saved up to get them a place)
A brother's fear
Protective olderbrother Billy Hargrove x sister reader
Warnings: THIS IS NOT A SHIP, THEY ARE SIBLINGS NOTHING MORE, slapping, agruing, protective billy, blood, ANGST, happy ending, abuse, Neil, Neil makes reader call him sir like he did with Billy, hairpulling
Summary: Request above
Tumblr media
When you came home, you find Dad and Billy neck to neck. Billy was placed against a shelf and Dad was holding him against it. You look at your step-mom and saw her crying. Why was she not helping him? Why was Dad doing this? If Billy was being beat or abused by Dad, I never knew. Billy never let me see. He would tell me, he got into a fist fight with some punk from school. I never knew.
"Dad!" You yell. He looks to you with a frown.
"Get her out of here," He yelled to his wife.
Your step-mom tried to bring out of the room, just as another blow is given to Billy's face. You hear him cry out at the blow and you ran back into the room. You pushed in between the two men and hugged Billy tight. You felt him rub your back.
"Look what you did Billy, you made me make a scene infront of your sister," Dad said. He left the room and went to his bedroom.
Sobs racked through your body when he finally left. You could not believe what you saw. You looked up to Billy cause he always was there for you. Once he beat up a kid for pulling on your pigtails.
"Billy," You cried.
"Shush, it's okay," Billy said softly. Here he was comforting you after he was the one who was beaten up.
"I had no idea," More tears flood.
"It's okay."
"I am so sorry," You shook your head.
"It's okay. I'm fine," He groans when he says that.
------
A few weeks later, you cleaning the house. Your dad was out with your step-mom with Max and that left you alone cause Billy was at some girl's house. You had cleaned everything and were finally putting away the dishes. You went to dry one but it slipped out of your hands, shattering on the ground.
"Shit!"
You go to get the broom and dustpan from the living room. You tried picking up the bigger pieces but it cut your hand, staining the white floor. You cursed at the pain but cleaned up everything. Wrapping up your hand, the family walks in. No one pays you any mind until your dad comes in. He sees the wrap on your hand and then the broken glass in the trash can.
"What happened?" He questions.
"A plate slipped an-"
"You broke a plate?"
"It was an acciedent and I didn't mean-"
"Do you know how much those cost?" He interrupted you. He stepped closer.
"No," You shake your head.
"No what?"
"No, sir."
"Why don't you say sorry to Susan?"
"Sorry Susan," You cry out when he grips your hair from the ponytail you had it in. He pulls your head back.
"I'm sorry but that doesn't seem like you mean it," He says.
Tears pour from your eyes.
"Now say it like you mean it, girl."
"I'm so sorry Susan. I really am. I didn't mean to break your plate," You sob.
"Shut those tears up," Your dad slaps you, your face turning red.
"Neil, I don't think-" Susan tries.
"She needs to learn respect for you. She broke something so she has to say sorry. It's called respect," He grits his teeth.
You cry out at the pain of your scalp.
"Now have you learned your lesson?" He asks.
"Yes."
He tugs harder, "Yes, what?"
"Yes sir!"
"What was your lesson?"
"Don't break things and to say sorry," You cry.
"And why is that?"
"It's for respect sir,'' You say.
He lets you go and you fall from the force of him holding you up by your hair. You rub your head and scramble to your room. The night carries on and Billy comes home. You hear him ask for you but Susan said it might not be a good idea. He knocks on your door and opens it. He finds you with an icepack of peas against your face. He sees the streaks of dried tears and the handprint on your cheek.
"Wha-What happened?" Billy says, tears welling up into his blue eyes.
"Nothing, Billy."
"Don't do that, don't do that."
"Fine, he hit me and pulled my hair. He made me say sir and talk about respect." You cried and Billy grabbed you to hold.
You shook in his grasp and he shushed you. He pat your hair and rubbed your back while you had your first melt down after a beating. He never wanted you to go through this again.
"I am so sorry," Billy softly cried.
"Sorry for what?"
"I didn't protect you. I didn't."
"Billy-"
"I should have gotten you out of here but I didn't," He said.
"Billy, you did. You tried so hard."
"I need to get you out of here. I am getting you out of here."
Billy and you made a plan to pack everything you needed and leave when everyone was asleep. When it was time to go, you snuck out with Billy to his car. Once on the road, you started drifting off to sleep. Billy took off his jacket and made it like a blanket for you. Your head rested on his shoulder, he hummed to you as you slept.
You both made it to California and looked for the house your mom had left for Billy if he wanted to return.
"I'm never letting you get hurt again," Billy said before pulling you into a hug.
You both walked to the car and pulled your bags from the backseat. You walked side by side to your new life without abuse or violence or Dad. You both never wanted to see that man again.
"I love you Billy."
"Don't worry, I love you too. No one messes with my sister," Billy said before hugging you again.

My little dove
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Running away is easy, it's the leaving that's hard
Billy sits on the hood of the camro, the light of the noon Hawkins sun shine his hair golden. The smoke of his dying cigarette floats around him. He looks somewhat like a painting of a Greek hero. The school door spills out children and through the sea of heads he sees them.
"How was school bumble?"
"Some dickhead yanked my hair."
Billy's jaw clenched hard. His whole body tensed visibly.
"But I ripped up one of his textbooks!"
They smiled, Big bright eyes looking up.
"Where's Max?"
"Getting makeup work."
At that moment the red head appeared, a large textbook awkwardly wedged in her arms. Some boy in a large white and red shirt agured with her.
"Who's that boy?"
"Dunno bills."
They turned and slipped into the car as the others grew nearer.
"You're late."
She didn't answer. Starring at the ground with eyes full of fire.
"You're skating home next time."
He slams the door before blasting his cassette. The sound of the Thin Lizzy nearly deafening the two kids. Max's eyes glazed over watching the cars go by as Billy went on and on to his little sibling about eachothers day.
"Who was that boy you were with?"
"No one. Just some kid in my class."
"You better not be bringing over any boys or I'll fucking drag them both of you out by your fucking asses."
Max mumbled a response before drowning out the rest of the conversation.
"Bumble do you want anything from the store?"
"Just skittles!"
Billy smiled. A soft honest smile that no but them ever saw.
"Then I'll get you skittkes."
He spend from the driveway leaving them and Max alone.
"I'm sorry Max, I told him to leave the subject of Lucas."
She sighed, pulling her backpack higher on her shoulders.
"It's fine."
The words were monotone and almost metallic. She walked past them and entered the house with a second thought. They sighed and followed her in.

Being Billy Hargrove’s sister and dating Steve Harrington
You love Max with your entire heart
She looks up to you so much
You introduced her to Kate Bush
You always stick up for her whenever Billy comes around
Billy has a soft spot for you, his little sister
He won’t let you drive his camero though
Billy wants to protect you as much as he can, so he always gets so angry at him and his dad whenever Neil comes after you
Billy takes hits for you since he’d rather be in pain than you
Of course no one knows this, not even Max
You, Billy, and Max get out of his car on the first day of school, and this is when Steve first notices you
He thinks you’re super pretty, and he starts to develop a crush on you
He can see based off of your interactions with other people, that you’re nothing like your brother, and you are kind and soft spoken
You got paired together for a science project, and you two got super close
Eventually, Steve asked you out, to which you agreed happily
You kept your relationship a secret from everyone, especially Billy
Billy doesn’t find out you’re dating Steve until a few months into your relationship, when Billy comes over to the Byers and beats up Steve
You’re trying to do everything in your power to get him away from Steve, but he’s older, stronger, and taller than you are
Billy is kinda stupid, so it won’t click immediately that you’re dating Steve
But after Billy recovers from being drugged, he barges into your room to talk to you about it
After about two weeks of arguing, Billy finally gives up
He still doesn’t like it
One day when you’re hanging out in your room with Steve, cuddling on your bed, Billy comes into your room to ask you something, but sees Steve Harrington way to close to his sister
He is pissed and tells Steve to get out
You yell at him and tell Steve to stay where he is, but Billy threatens you with your dad, and your face configures into a horrified expression
This is the first time Steve suspected something to be wrong in your house regarding your father
You rush Steve out of the house, Billy watching the whole time
Steve flashes you a worried look, but leaves anyways, calling you when he gets home
Steve doesn’t know that your dad’s abusive
When Billy got flayed Steve was there for you and tried to support you as much as he could
When Billy died, you tried to run over to him, but Steve held tightly onto your waist as you screamed, sobs racking your body and tears streaming down your face
Steve had a few tears in his eyes as well, just because it affected you so much
Steve tried to get you to open up about Billy’s death, but you drifted away
Steve still was there though, hugging you when you needed it, even if you didn’t tell him

The world between
Parings: Steve Harrington x reader, Billy Hargrove x sister reader, Max Mayfield x sister reader
Warnings: Swearing
Chapter: 2.01
You rolled your shoulders, picked up a paintbrush, and ran your fingertips across the soft bristles, which parted like golden ears of wheat on a windy day. The slim, wooden handle was light but firm—worth every dollar you’d spent on it—and you rolled it between your slender fingers, then dipped the brush into a pot of bright blue paint and raised your hand towards the canvas. The canvas wasn’t blank, as it already bore lines and curves of bright colours ranging from red, orange, yellow, pink, and purple. The colours formed the outline of a man you had never met but would soon meet—you could feel it in your bones. He didn’t have a proper face yet because you hadn’t seen his face yet. You often toyed with the idea of filling the figure with a mixture of grey and black paint. But no matter how long you stared at the canvas, you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Because you feared the recurring figure from your nightmare that would come true if you did.
Painting outdoors was something you loved doing. You had a special spot under a tree where the rays of sunlight pierced through the gaps between the branches and leaves, giving you a warm ray of sunlight that wasn’t too harsh on your skin. When the grass rustles in the breeze, it sends a warm tingle down your back. There were square dents in the grass under the tree, where you always mounted your easel and stool, dents that showed that that little area was yours—your territory.
A bird landed on the top of the canvas, balancing on the edge. You smiled at it, and it tilted its small head to the side, but when you slowly reached out to touch it, it flapped its wings and flew up to the sky. You purse your lips—you wondered if Hawkins would be as beautiful as California.
Your brother, with whom you had shared a womb for nine months, took great joy in telling you in his cursive language how awful the weather was and how rude the people were. You weren’t looking forward to moving, but you all needed a fresh start. The odd dirty looks and whispers around town were beginning to drain your family. So when your stepmom, Susan, informed you of the numerous opportunities they could all have, you accepted that moving was the only option.
“I’m going to miss this.” You say to yourself as you drop the paintbrush and tilt your face towards the canopy of leaves above you. As you look at the sunlight piercing through the open gaps, your hair falls in gentle waves down your back, making some of the leaves appear translucent.
You turned towards your family’s home to see Susan walking towards you with a glass of lemonade in each hand and a faint smile on her lips. She looked over your shoulder to get a better look at your most recent painting. “Can I sit with you? Keep you company?”
“I'm not alone,” you joked. “But sure. I’m sorry Billy is making this move a bit difficult. Is he still off sulking somewhere instead of packing?”
Susan nodded, confirming that he was. “Ah, you know how it is with your brother and father.”
“It’s not fair though. I know Billy has made a lot of mistakes, but this time he didn’t do anything wrong. I just wished my dad would listen to him or me.”
“You know how it is.” Susan repeated, handing you one of the glasses. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I'm going to make sure Max hasn’t thrown out anything she’s supposed to keep.”
You exhaled softly through your nose and turned back to the painting. Susan always left when she didn’t like how a conversation was going. You dipped the brush into the pot of rainbow water that was slowly turning a muddy shade of brown before dipping the brush into green paint. You worked on your painting, adding more pops of color, till the golden sunlight turned orange and your eyes and hands began to hurt. You leaned back and admired how bright your painting looked, even in the setting sun. But it couldn’t distract you from the looming feeling that something bad was coming.
As you packed up your art supplies, you wondered if you would still have the same amount of time to paint in Hawkins.
“I can’t believe you baked a whole damn pound cake!”
“Max! Language! Cass did a lovely thing by making us desserts to celebrate our first family meal in our new home.”
You did your best to conceal the pout on your lips. You wouldn’t have classed this as a family meal because Billy wasn’t present. He’d stormed off not long after you arrived and hadn’t been seen since.
Dinner was chicken, creamy potatoes with some vegetables on the side, and for dessert, freshly baked pound cake that was still warm. The food was spread out on a light pink tablecloth with floral patterns and served in their fanciest bowls of China, which was just a matching set of ceramic dishes with blue hand-painted flowers. It was all pretty and all for show. You had grown accustomed to ready meals and takeaways in your old home since neither you nor Billy knew how to cook, and you hated it when he ate alone, so you’d skip family meals so you could eat with him.
“You know, I squeezed the oranges myself,” your dad said, with a twinge of pride.
“No wonder it tasted funny,” you quipped. Then, make a show of sniffing the bright yellow liquid in your glass cup.
You studied your dad’s face as he laughed at the joke, knowing full well that if your brother had made the same joke it wouldn’t have been received so well. That was the elephant in the room. You and Max could do no wrong in her father's eyes, while Billy could do nothing right.
“So, Billy says he’ll take you both to school tomorrow.” Susan asked.
“Yeah, we are going in slightly early to make sure we don’t get lost.”
Your dad scoffed into his cup. “He could’ve chosen a safer town to live in. Let’s hope he doesn’t screw this up.”
You opened your mouth to protest against his comment, but decided against it.
You immediately went to your room to finish unpacking when dinner was over. You stood in front of your most recent painting and brushed your fingers over it, checking it was completely dry before hanging it up on her wall. Three gentle knocks made you turn to the open door, where your sister stood leaning against the doorway.
“Can I come in?”
“Of course.”
Your bed creaked with your weight as you both sat down on it. “I’m nervous about tomorrow.”
You raised her brows in surprise. Max was never nervous. She was very laid-back for a kid. “You worried about not making friends?”
“No, I don’t care about things like that,” the young redhead girl tutted at her. “I’m worried Billy will really screw it up. What he did to that guy in the bar... was just messed up.”
You gave her a warm smile, which Max returned. “Please just give Billy a chance... I…” You sighed and looked down at your nails, which had paint stuck underneath them. “Okay, so there was more to what happened that night. It wasn’t all his fault.”
Max understood the plea in your eyes and didn’t need to hear anymore. She stood up, “Right. I'd better start getting ready for tomorrow.”
“Good night.”
You watched her amble out the door, and with shaking hands, you continued unpacking.
You clutched the bag in your hand tight to your chest, afraid it would slip out of your hands at the speed Billy was driving. When he pulled into the school parking lot and abruptly parked, Max almost immediately got out, and hopped onto her skateboard, mumbling, “See you later.”
You roll your eyes while getting out of the car, noticing that Billy’s erratic driving had gotten him an audience. You watched with curious eyes as a group of girls seemed to be swooning over your brother.
Whatever.
“I guess I’ll see you around.”
You were introduced to your class as a new student by your teacher before she pointed out a desk for you to sit in. As you sat, a brown-haired girl sat beside you. You gave her a polite nod before opening the book in front of you.

Sad story ahead!
Steve Harrington x dying reader.
Summary: The mall scene! Reader and Billy are half siblings bc Neil cheated on your mom with Billy’s mom. Steve and you are dating
Warning! Talks about seeing ghost and bunch of trauma. This does talk/ imply that you were suicidal! Talk is that in the song says suicide in your arms tonight. Implying that you didn’t care about dying. (Which neither do I but I don’t know if that suicidal)
Based of the song Arms Tonite by Mother Mother
“Y/N!” I yell as she block Billy from the Mind Flayer. I run over to her and ignore everything.
“Y/n?” I hold her body in mine as she’s covered in blood.
“I’m sorry.”
“No, you’ll be okay. We’ll get out of here.”
“Steve-.”
“Shh save your energy.” I take my shit off and try to stop the bleeding.
“Baby I’m not gonna make it. Please just keep Max safe.”
“Don’t talk like that.”
“I know Billy can but just help him.”
“Billy needs you. I need you!” She pushes the shirt off and I hold her back in my arms. I know she right but I don’t want too.
“I know but at- least I died in your arms.”
“No your not.”
“I love you.”
“Please- what about all the promises we made?” She kiss my cheek with the last of her strength.
“Please I need you.” She smiles sadly and her eyes get tired.
“Y/n I love you too.” She slowly falls limp in my arms as I hug her closer.
“Y/n?” Max asks as tears run down her face as she holds Billy’s body. She screams and Lucas holds her tight as both her step siblings were died.
Steve finally found out why you hated your dad. He was abusive to you and Billy. The dick had tried to sell your guys stuff. Steve bought it all and made sure Max had gotten whatever she wanted from you guy. At the funeral where your mother came to see you for the first time scene you moved here.
You never said your feelings on her but Steve thinks it would be anger now. Your mother was beautiful looked a lot like you which broke his heart even more. Yet she left you with Neil which if she maybe just hadn’t you’d be alive right now.
The worst of all was he still saw you. The funeral you and Billy had been sitting with Max as she cried. He saw you with Billy never alone. A constant reminder as to why he blamed himself.
Then it seemed everyone but him and Max moved on. Dustin was friends with Eddie Muson who now everyone thinks is a murder. Which at first he thought the same, but Vacna or whatever had been killing people. Which now he’s trying to get Max.
“Max please just listen to me.” I say as put batteries in the walker.
“Steve I don’t need you.” She grabs the walker and walks off.
“Max I need to do it for us.” I stand in front of her way.
“I can do it myself!” Max had problems with anger just like Billy. So did Steve but your problem was not caring about death. Not caring what happened to you as long as everyone else was happy. Some sad twisted joke life had on them.
“Max just let me-!” Suddenly I wasn’t in the house. I was at the mall with you.
“Y/n!” I run to her and hug her.
“I fell hard in your arms that night, it was nice. I died in your arms that night. I slipped through into the afterlife, It was nice. White light in your arms that night. I lost sight in your arms that night, It was nice.” She says and breaks the hug.
“Wasn’t so nice for me.” I say angry.
“Hey, you, don't you think it's kinda cute? That I died right inside your arms that night.” Y/n says.
“Y/n I know this isn’t you but I can’t live without you.”
“Really? Because I cried in the afterlife. I cried hard because I have died and you're alive! I tried to escaped the afterlife, I tried hard to get back inside your arms alive.” As she yelled she become bigger and more demonic.
“I don’t want to die with you upset at me. Please?”
“That I fell hard in your arms. I went and died in your arms that night. I fell in your arms tonight. Suicide in your arms.”
“I’m sorry.”
“That I'm fine even after I have died because it was in your arms I died.” Suddenly I’m back home. With everyone screaming as tears stream down my face.
“No- no- no.” I mumble over and over.
“Harrington no what?” Eddie asks.
“FUCK!” I throw a vase at a wall and everyone jumps back.
“You saw her, didn’t you?” I fall down the wall and hug myself and rock. I sob and sob till I feel a hand.
“It was nice.” I look up to see her and whimper.
“Stop it!” I yell at her.
“Steve? Who are you talking too?” Dustin asks.
“STOP TORTURING ME! STOP IT!” Max then hug him as I watch. Billy holding me with a sigh.
“I hate this.” I mumble out.
“I know.” He says.
“I can’t help him. I can’t hold him. I can’t kiss him.” I start to cry.
“Shh.” He says as he rubs back.
“Billy I can’t do this anymore.”
“Hey. Look at me.” I take my faces off his shoulder and look at him.
“We’re gonna make it through this, together. Just like we’ve always said. We’ll move to Cali when your ready. We can go ghost surfing or something. Steve and Max are going to be okay, it takes time.”
“Their just turning into us Billy. Steve doesn’t care about himself and Max has all this anger.”
“It takes time.”
“How much time Billy? Because we died because of it!”
“N/n I don’t know but just trust me on it.” He holds me as I sob with Steve.
“Steve I’m sorry.” Max says after hours of me sobbing and yelling.
“It’s my fault. If I didn’t tell her back then.”
“I think about it everyday but Y/n and Billy were so close. I don’t think she would live without him.” She says leaning into me.
“How do you do it?” I ask after a pause of silence.
“Do what?”
“Not cry everyday.”
“I like to think there in heaven surfing on a big beach. They’re probably just alone but are so happy. They can be free now. Free from Neil, free from this place, free from the monsters. But I know y/n sad, she misses us. She probably watches you and feels so bad. Bad that she caused this pain, bad that she couldn’t have been stronger, bad that she broke the person’s heart that healed her own. Though Billy’s with her, cheering her up. Telling her it takes time and he’ll be better soon.” She’s says as sits up.
“When we were at the funeral. I saw them, together. They had sat down with you, hugging you and I keep seeing them. I don’t know which ones are real or fake or even if I’m going crazy.”
“Do you see them now?” I look at Steve at the small sliver of hope.
“No.” I shred a tear and whimper as I fall into Billy’s arms.
It’s short but mm I kinda like it.

Billy Hargrove x Henderson Sister!Reader
No one messes with Y/N Henderson’s younger brother and his friends. Not even the Hot Shot new kid from California.
Fluff
Tumblr media
“He tried to run us over with his car!”
Y/N overheard her brother Dustin in the halls when she went to pick him up from school.
“Who tried to run you over with his car?” she asked.
“The new guy from California,” Lucas answered.
Her jaw clenched in anger. The Party shared a look and followed after her when she turned on her heel. She walked over to where Max stood by her locker.
“Where is your brother?”
“Locker room.”
Her hands were held into tight fists as she stormed over to Hawkins High.
“Y/N, you can’t go in there!”
She ignored her brother’s protest and pushed open the door of the locker room.
She passed teen boys in various states of dress to get to her real target.
Wrapped in a towel, Billy stood by his locker.
“Hargrove!” she snapped.
A cocky grin spread on his face at the sight of her. “Well Henderson, “ he said. “I was wondering when you’d find me. We could hop in the shower.” he winked and licked his bottom lip.
Y/N jammed her finger into his bare chest which caused his grin to fall. “Listen closely, Hargrove. Cause I am only going to say this once. If you ever try and run my brother and his friends over with your car again, I will kick your nuts up into your throat. Are we clear?”
“Crystal,” he replied.
“Good.”
“Oh Henderson!” he called when she started to walk away.
“What?” she stopped mid-step and looked over at him.
Billy gave her a smirk. “You’re really hot when you’re angry.”
Y/N scoffed and stormed away.
Tumblr media
Billy closed his locker and let out a low laugh.
“I’m gonna get that girl.”

anything on being nancy wheeler's sister and dating either steve or billy ?
Being a Wheeler and Dating Billy Hargrove
headcanons
Tumblr media
summary: dating billy while being a wheeler kid
pairing: billy hargrove x fem!reader (wheeler!reader)
WARNINGS: swearing, very brief mentions of sex, mentions of abuse
note: i wanted to do one of these for billy because i haven’t written anything for him yet so :)
You met Billy right after he moved to Hawkins. Obviously, he radiated bad vibes at first. He was rude, arrogant, and not someone you had any desire to spend any amount of time with.
Then, the two of you were partnered up for an English project, which meant spending a lot of time with Billy Hargrove.
Initially, you thought it would be up to you to do the entire project. Billy didn’t exactly seem like the kind of person who would contribute to partner work at all.
However, Billy was totally infatuated with you. He thought you were the prettiest girl in Hawkins, so he did what he does best. He tried to flirt with you. Obviously, his reputation preceded him, causing you to vehemently turn him down every time.
The last thing you were gonna do was become one of Billy Hargrove’s groupies. You were not the kind of girl who was just going to fall to his feet and beg him to take you in the backseat of his camaro. This only egged him on.
He loved the fact that you weren’t gonna give into him so easily. If he really wanted you, he had to work for it. You fully expected him to get bored and move onto another girl in a weeks time.
But he didn’t. Instead, he spent most of his free time at your house, working on a stupid poster board over the symbols in Romeo and Juliet, instead of partying or hooking up with other girls.
His behavior seemed to do a complete 180. He was no longer out drinking every night, instead he was doing homework and going to bed at a reasonable hour??
Your parents loved him, especially your mother. She would often come up to your room while the two of you were working, bringing snacks or art supplies for your poster board. Billy would occasionally shoot her a flirty smile or make some kind of weird comment, which earned him a glare and a “Don’t flirt with my mom!”
Over time, you grew pretty fond of Billy. You were even sad that the deadline for your project was coming up so soon. The two of you had finished it a week before, but Billy kept coming over with the excuse of “What if we need to fix something?”
He was weirdly sweet and polite. He made you laugh and teased you over your taste in music.
Billy likes to look through your things. Not in a weird or creepy kind of way, but more in a getting-to-know-you kind of way. He tries to be respectful, avoiding your underwear drawer and anything that could be deemed too personal for his eyes, no matter how badly he wants to take a peek.
Your sister, Nancy, didn’t trust him at all. She knew his typical behavior and immediately decided that his fake niceties were just a sick ploy to get into your pants.
Nancy’s words made you question your semi-friendship with Billy. You couldn’t help but wonder how much of it was true.
Your little brother, Mike, couldn’t stand the thought of you being around Billy. Mike had firsthand accounts of how vile he was, being friends with Billy’s stepsister, Max.
Mike often tried to talk you out of seeing Billy, but to no avail.
When the two of you presented your project, you made an A, which is the best grade Billy had received in a long time. He’s actually genuinely proud and grateful.
You continue inviting him around. He comes to plenty of family dinners, which can sometimes make for an awkward experience given the fact that both your siblings detest him.
He asks you out soon after and you accept, letting Nancy and Mike’s concerns fall to the back of your mind. You had no reason not to trust Billy’s intentions.
He remained super respectful on your first date, taking you to a small diner in town. He has you home by curfew, much to your parents appreciation.
While he still manages to uphold his reputation at school, he doesn’t focus on any other girls. He remains loyal to you, showing you off in the halls as often as he can.
He walks you to and from class, holding your hand and carrying your books for you if you need.
He recognizes that he has a good thing going for him and he refuses to let his assholery ruin it for him.
Your relationship is definitely the talk of the school. Billy Hargrove and Y/N Wheeler? There’s more gossip going around than there was when Steve and Nancy first got together.
He picks you up every morning and takes you home every afternoon. You form a pretty good relationship with Max because of this.
Billy would protect you with his life. If anybody said anything bad about you, they would have to face his wrath. He gets in multiple fights for you.
After a couple months, Billy is forced to come to you after a bad fight with his dad. He pecks on your window, effectively scaring the shit out of you. You gasp when you see the state he’s in, thinking he got into another fight with a boy at school. However, your confusion grows as you notice the tears pooling in his eyes as he climbs through the window and immediately pulls you into him.
He breaks down, telling you everything he’d been holding back for so long. He tells you about his mother, about his dad’s abuse, and everything else. You clean his wounds and hold him in your bed until the sun rises and he’s forced to head back home.
Cleaning his cuts and holding him until sunrise becomes a regular occurrence after this.
After a while, Nancy comes around to the idea of your relationship. She sees how different Billy is around you and she can see how happy you are. All she wants is for you to be happy, so she eventually gives you her approval.
Mike, however, never comes around. He hates Billy and nothing can change that. It doesn’t really bother you, though.
Billy loves seeing you in his clothes, especially his jacket. Sometimes he “accidentally” leaves it in your room just so you’ll wear it the next day.
He likes sitting with you while you read or do homework. He appreciates the fact that the two of you don’t even have to talk to have a good time. He likes just being near you.
He just loves seeing you and spending time with you.

B.H. Billy Hargrove X Reader
Tumblr media
Max walked to the car, she was a little over ten minutes late. She had been talking with Dustin, Mike, and Lucas.
She knew Billy would be mad at her for being late, and for talking with Lucas.
As she approaches the car, Billy gets in and starts the car.
She hops in the passenger side and sets her backpack in her lap.
Waiting to get yelled at.
But, as Billy drove, blasting rock, Max never got yelled at.
He didn't even seem mad. And max was very confused to say the least.
Why wouldn't he be mad? He had grabbed her wrist the last time.
He didn't even acknowledge it this time. Why? Isn't he mad?
She decided to not press her luck. Neil probably bribed him to be nice. Or he threatened to take away his car.
She shrugs it off and sits quietly.
The party sits quietly as they watch him.
"This is a bad idea, he is gonna kill us," Mike says.
"Shut up," max hisses.
They were spying on Billy.
Max had been trying to make him mad. It didn't work.
She was two hours late for him to pick her up, he didn't care.
She was late every day, he didn't even acknowledge it. Then, she kisses lucas. in he parking lot. She knew billy saw.
He didn't even mention it.
"Who's that?" Dustin whisper yells.
A girl around Billy's age appears and they all see how Billy's usual scowl, turns into a smile.
They sneak around to get closer, hiding behind a car.
"Hello," the girl greets. She has a big smile plastered on her face to.
Billy skips verbal greetings and pulls her in by the waist and presses a quick kiss to her lips.
A gag is earned from the party, they almost got caught.
If the girl hadn't placed a kiss on his lips, they would be dead.
"Where's Max? You said I could meet her," the girl says and billy wraps his arm around her shoulder. He rests his head against her shoulder and sighs.
"I don't know why you want to meet her, but she is usually late," billy says.
The girl mocks being upset, "She seems nice. And she skateboards, why wouldn't I?"
Billy let's out a other sigh. It isn't an annoyed one, more like a content one.
Billy closes his eyes and max quickly gets up and walks to the car.
"Max," the girl calls out and billy moves from his place on the girls shoulder.
"Hi?" She says.
"I'm YN," the girl says and shakes her hand.
"And you already know my name," max states.
Billy almost comments on Max's attitude, but yn elbows him.
Max gets in the car with shock. It was a girl.
Max quietly sneaks down the hallway. Her mom and Neil were out of town for the weekend.
billy and yn had disappeared to his room. Max didn't hear any suspicious sounds, so she didn't know what they were doing.
She peeks through Billy's door, he is curled into yn's lap, and she is playing with his hair.
His eyes are closed and hers are fluttering.
He was in love. Max had never seen him be so gentle.
His face was not looking stressed, or tense. his eye brows were not drawn together
He was peaceful.
She quietly sneaks back down the hallway. What the hell? She thinks as she closes her own door.

Steve Harrington x hargrove reader.
Twins, billy and yn are twins. Yn is on the track team so she always watches his basketball practice after she is done.
She is like one of the guys. Except with her best friend. What would their reaction be to her coming in from practice ... Giggling.
I imagine Steve, who has seen this very little like jaw hits the floor.
The rest of the team is dumb struck.
But Billy has seen this before so he only a little surprised. Bc you only did it with your friends from cali.
Maybe some interactions between all of them with Steve dating Billy's sister
Billy's sister
Warnings: fluff, Angela is not the one from season 3
Steve Harrington x hargrove reader
Tumblr media
Running the last lap around the track, you find your best friend Angela. She catches up to you, almost crashing into you. Smiling with her ponytail swinging with her steps, the two of you walk to the gym to change into fresh clothes.
---
Steve was taking the final shot of the five minute period before the final one started. Billy was pushing up against him, taunting him with his words. That is until they hear the gym door open, revealing a giggling you.
The move to Hawkins was a big change for you and Billy. While Billy wasn't too happy, you tried to make the best of it. That's how you met Angela and joined the track team.
When Billy heard your giggle, he looked to you, allowing Steve to make a layup. You looked to your twin and adverted your eyes to a certain brown eyed boy. Steve had asked you out a few weeks beforre and you couldn't be more lovestruck than ever.
You were laughing at something that Angela had said, then stopped when you see Billy. He was overprotective of you and as much as you loved that about him, you wanted him to give you some freedom. You don't normally laugh, smile or cling to someone's arm like you do with Angela. Billy liked the smile on your face. He remembered the day that he broke the move to you, he never saw you cry so much.
----
After changing, the two of you walk out to the bleachers and watch the boys practice. You watched Steve the entire time.
"You know, you look like a creep." Angela laughed from beside you.
"Says the person who has a crush on my brother," You giggle.
"Hey, Billy is hot."
"And so is Steve," You roll your eyes with a laugh.
You turn to the practice again, making eye contact with Steve and smile. You wave, he waves back and you blush.
"Y/n, this is for you," Steve yells, winking at you.
He goes to shoot but Billy blocks him.
"Next time Harrington," Billy smirked.
Billy didn't mind you dating Steve but he just didn't understand why. He didn't understand what you saw in him, but the Harrington boy makes you happy. That's all that matters to Billy.
Once practice was over, you went to kiss Steve on the cheek when you gave him a hug.
"You did great, Steve."
"Yeah, Harrington. You did great," Billy mocked you with a fake lovestruck look.
"Shut it Billy," You giggle.
Billy looked at you with a slightly surprised face, normally you said it sarcastically. He was liking the sight of his twin getting comfortable here, even if he didn't like Hawkins.
"You know you love me," He smiles.
"Only cause I love myself and everytime I look in the mirror, I see your face."
Steve snickers at your remark. He goes to pull you close.
"Harrington, hands off."
You turn red and hide in the crook of Steve's neck.
Angela talks a bit to Billy, stuttering over her words and blushing. Billy smirked at her and asked her if she wanted to go on a date. You had to catch her so she didn't hit her head when she started to faint.
You waved goodbye to the boys and linked arms with Angela.
"Of all people, Billy?"
"I could ask the same thing, Mrs. Hargrove." She giggled.
The two of you skipped to your next class when the bell rung.
"She is amazing," Steve said.
"Yeah and you make her happy," Billy admits.
"However, if you ever hurt her I will hunt you down."
"Oh believe me, I have no plans on hurting her." Steve smiled.
Billy watched his sister skip arm linked with Angela. He smiled when he heard the faint sounds of your laugh. If you were happy, Billy was happy.

PROLOGUE
There aren't many things Billy loves in this world, the sunsets on California Beach, the smell of cigarettes mixed with pink lemonade and the last part of home he had with him. Them. Since he was five he became their one guardian of the tiny bundle of chub his mother had placed in this arms. Those pretty light speckled glassy eyes that darkening when they cried. Ever since that first meeting they were always with him. In school, on the playground even with his friends. They held hands so long Billy's mom joked that their fingers grew together. Billy loved them.
"No silly! Get those out of your mouth!"
Billy gave them many nicknames. Bumblebee, silly, peanut, chubs, and bumble. Billy never stopped calling them bumble. Neither of them could remember when Billy hadn't called them bumble. They stayed together through the pain of their mother leaving. Of moving to Hawkins. Of Neil. Billy had only grown more protective of his little bumble. No dating, no friends he doesn't know about, no after school clubs he doesn't approve of, and no staying out late with anyone but him. He's not losing the last bit of happiness he has. But they didn't mind. As long as they stay together, Billy will be ok.

“What are you doing?” Y/n asked Billy as he took a pillow and blanket off of her bed and set them up on the floor in a makeshift bed.
“Anyone could walk in-” Billy started to answer, gesturing to the door. Billy normally would sleep in the bed with Y/n. But with how many people were staying in the house he didn’t want to set a bad example for himself to her family. But Y/n stopped him.
“Stop, Billy. You are sleeping in my bed with me. That's finale. Just keep your clothes on and if someone comes in we’ll be good.” Y/n stated picking up the blanket and pillow off the floor shaking them out and placing them back on the bed, before she got undressed to put on her pj’s.
“Just don’t want to make a bad impression.” Billy told her, watching the door apprehensively.
“Billy, why do you care what my family thinks of you so much?” Y/n asked him sitting on her bed watching him change into his own pj’s. Great view Y/n thought in her head.
“I don’t plan on letting you go so it’d be nice if your family liked me.” Billy stated moving onto the bed sitting next to her. He never cared about what parent’s thought of him before now. There was more at stake with y/n in Billys mind.
Y/n hated how he felt the need to get her parents approval. She means sure if he were to act like the Billy around town then they’d probably hate him, but she hated how he felt he needed to be not himself to impress her family.
Y/n sighed reaching out to hold his hands in hers before explaining something she felt was very important for him to hear. “Oh Billy. You don’t have to do that. I don’t care if they like you, because I don't care what they think. I’m glad you're here because it’ll make this holiday bearable. My parents like you Billy and it drives my brother nut’s. Normally our parents are always gone so we celebrate by ourselves Steve and me. Sometimes we invite friends over to celebrate with us. Like the kids Max hangs out with, Nancy, Robin, Johnathan, I could go on. That’s honestly the way I prefer it. Just Steve, me and the people we consider family. Like you.”
The only person Y/n wished liked Billy was her brother, but she knew there were a lot of reasons on both sides why they didn’t get along.
“Why are they here hosting them?” He asked her with an inquisitive look. He was confused if they were never really around. Why were they hosting all their family this christmas?
“It’s their turn this year. Trust me they weren’t happy about it.” Y/n let out a sarcastic laugh remembering how upset her parents were to have to cancel their vacation plans. Y/n snuggled up into Billys side as they repositioned themselves to lay down under her covers getting ready to sleep. “I’m just glad you're here. I couldn’t imagine doing this without you.”
Billy pulled her as close as she could possibly be to him, kissing the top of her head. “I’m not leaving. Promise.”
^     ^     ^
“Y/n! Y/n! Y/n!” The kids came barging into her bedroom screaming her name. Effectively waking her and Billy out of their peaceful sleep.
“Hmmmm, what?” Y/n asked in a very tired, sleepy voice opening her eyes to look at them.
“Come on, get up! Santa came!” They grabbed her shoulder, shaking her whole body.
“Well, how about you go wake your parent’s up and we’ll meet you there.” Y/n suggested and the kids left to do as Y/n said.
“Are they always that loud?” Billy groaned, turning on his side facing her.
“No, they're just excited.” She shook her head smiling at him.
“Where are you going?” Billy pulled her back down to the bed before she could get up, wrapping her arms tightly around her pulling her back into his chest.
“If we don’t get up they’ll come back.” Y/n laughed, smiling at how sweet his actions were, loving how clingy he always was in the morning.
“They wake you to?” Steve asked from the doorway rubbing his eyes and yawning.
“Yup.” Y/n smiled over at her brother, craning her neck to do so.
“Hey, can I have a moment with Hargrove here?” Steve asked once Y/n and Billy had gotten up and were heading out of Y/n’s room. “Uh, sure. I’ll go downstairs. Start helping with breakfast.” Y/n looked between her brother and boyfriend unsure if this was a good idea to leave them alone. But Billy gave her a nod singling it would be okay.
“What do you want, Harrington?” Billy asked once Y/n’s footsteps could be heard going down the stairs.
“Just wanted to say thanks. For taking care of my sister yesterday. Max says that Neil is an ass so. . .” Steve looked to Billy hoping he didn’t want to fight Steve was done fighting with him. And he never won anyways. But he really just wanted to talk.
“I wouldn’t let anything happen to her.” Billy clenched and unclenched his fist resisting the urge to punch him for even insinuating that he would let his father lay a hand on Y/n.
“I appreciate that. Look, can we just call a truce? At least for today if not for good. For Y/n.” Steve nodded with an appreciative look, he could see it in the dirty blonde. He truly cared about his sister and that took awhile to sink in. But it had now and Steve didn’t want to cause an eventual rift between him and his sister.
“For Y/n.” Billy agreed to Steve’s idea, it was time they got along for Y/n. BIlly didn’t plan on leaving her so he and Steve needed to bury the hatchet. “I’m sorry. For everything.”
“Did you just-’
“Not happening ever again so take it and move on.” Billy didn’t apologize often. So Steve needed to just leave it and move on. Take the apology and never mention it again.
The two nodded and headed down stairs to join everyone else.
“Hey, breakfast is ready.” Y/n greeted the boy’s as they entered the kitchen. Y/n had put some bacon on her’s and their plates along with cinnamon rolls. Cinnamon rolls were Steve and y/n’s tradition for breakfast on holiday’s.
“Thanks, sis.” Steve took his plate from her outstretched hand.
“Thanks.” Billy grabbed the other plate from her.
“Everything okay?” Y/n asked as surprisingly of what they could have talked about as they went to sit down.
“Everything's fine. More than.” Billy leaned over and kissed her on the lips before digging into his plate.
After breakfast everyone opened presents after opening present’s everyone slowly got dressed. Y/n and Billy headed up to her room to get dressed themselves.
“Hey, I still have that gift for you.” Billy spoke up once the door was shut to Y/n’s room.
“Billy-”
“You got me gifts. I’m allowed to give you them as well.” Billy really loved the gifts she had gotten and he was excited to see her open his gift.
“Oh, Billy. It’s beautiful.” Y/n was stunned at the gift. It was a matching necklace and ring. On the back of the necklace and inside the ring were her’s and Billy’s entails.
“I figured if you couldn’t wear one you could wear the other.” He explained to her, he knew she didn’t always wear necklaces but she always had a ring on or one or the other.
“I love them. Thank you.” Y/n smiled up at him before turning around to have him help her put on the necklace as she slid the ring on.
“I was hoping you would.” Billy grinned happily and relieved that she loved them.
“Can I ask you something?” Y/n turned to face him.
“Yeah.” He nodded.
“Why are you and my brother getting along? Hell your acting like friends. I’m not upset by it, I’m actually kind of happy about it, but it’s also kind of freaking me out. You hated each other just yesterday.” Y/n moved to sit back on her bed hoping to get an answer about earlier. It’s making Y/n feel a little crazy watching them get along. She loved it but it was odd.
“We called a truce.” Billy told her with a shrug.
“Why?” Y/n tilted her head confused.
“Why do you think?” He teased asking her with a knowing look in his eyes.
“Me?” She furrowed her brows and her eyes widened. Y/n was confused at their timing if that was the case. “Why now?”
“I think he might have realized I’m not going anywhere and I’m not using you.” Billy told her moving to stand between her legs. He hated that at first y/n and Steve thought he was trying to use her. Sure he flirted with her just to piss Steve off. But he never planned on using Y/n. This was the longest relationship Billy has ever had.
“Thank you.” Y/n smiled at him gratefully knowing it couldn’t have been easy to do that for her.
“Anything for you.” He whispered against her lips before pulling her into a kiss which in the process ended up with them falling back onto her bed, with Billy hovering over her.
“Let’s get dressed and head back down.” Y/n suggest once they broke apart as she ran her hand’s up and down his biceps.
After they got dressed and went back down stairs the day continued and they played games and just hung out with the family. Steve and Billy acted like friends the rest of the day, but if you asked Y/n she watched them actually get along and share things in common. Y/n didn’t think they were doing much acting at all.
The day went by fast and everyone sat down in the family room to eat dinner. After that Billy and Y/n headed up to her room for some quiet time.
“Did you have fun?” Y/n questioned hoping he did, it seemed like he  had.
“Yeah, I did.” Billy smiled a guinea smile at her he reached up to run a hand through her hair.
“It was a fun first Christmas together.’ Y/n hinted hoping he got that she wanted to spend more Christmas’ together.
“One one many to come.” BIlly smirked, enjoying the thought of her words.

PART ONE | PART TWO
Tumblr media
You had never really been one for sappy relationships. So that's why you mostly ignored you brother and his girlfriend talking in the front seats of the car.
You wouldn't have had to be there at all if your former algebra teacher hadn't requested you tutor a few students. Considering the fact that you had already graduated high school, you weren't thrilled with the idea of coming back, but upon being told you would be paid, you had a change of heart.
Still, you had been tutoring at Hawkins High School for two weeks, and it got more dreadful each day.
At least you were getting paid.
Third period was typically the class that you would meet up with the students you tutored, and you would sit in the library or the cafeteria, and would attempt to help them with their studies, while forcing herself not to pull your hair out in frusteration.
But with your car having broken down the week prior - and still nonworking - you had no choice but to hitch a ride with your younger brother, who was a senior at Hawkins High, and keep yourself locked up in his car until third period.
Steve Harrington was quite different from his older sister, from his personality to his taste in music. The only thing you two really had in common was your godlike hair and your charming smiles.
One thing that truly separated Steve from you was his girlfriend.
Nancy Wheeler was a little too perfect in your opinion. She had perfect grades, a perfect house, a perfect family, and perfect looks. If you were honest, you didn't think that Nancy was Steve's type. But, he claimed to be in love with her, so you didn't bring it up.
You did think they were cute together, though.
"Do you think I should start from scratch?" You heard Steve say from the front of the car where he and Nancy were going over his college application essay.
"No, I mean..." Nancy trailed off, staring at the paper before looking up at Steve. "When's the deadline?"
" 'S tomorrow for early application." He said quietly. "I mean, can you come help me tonight?"
"No, we have our dinner tonight, remember?" Nancy reminded him.
Steve groaned. "Oh, my God." He sighed, leaning back against the headrest of his seat.
"We already canceled last week." Nancy sighed as well. "Look, you don't have to go, just work on this."
"No, no, no." Steve mumbled, before snatching the paper back from Nancy and crumpling it up frusteratedly. "What's the point?"
"Hey, calm down-"
"I'm calm, I'm calm. I'm just being honest, you know? I mean..." Steve trailed off a moment. "I'm just gonna end up working for my dad anyways."
"That's not true." Nancy tried to assure him.
"I don't  know, Nance, is that such a bad thing?" Steve started. "There's insurance, and benefits, and all that adult stuff. And if I took it, you know, I could be around for your senior year."
"Steve..." Nancy smiled slightly.
"Just look after you a little bit, make sure you don't forget this pretty face." Steve said. Nancy, smiling, looked away for a moment. "Nance, I'm serious."
Nancy turned back to him. Steve leaned over and planted a kiss on her lips. In the backseat, you sighed loudly.
"I'm still here, Steve." You said to your brother. "And as sweet as this is, it's making me sick. Please, for your dear old sister's sake, take this lovebird moment somewhere else."
Steve glared back at you. "Yeah, I hear you. Pissy pants."
You were about to insult Steve back, but the sound of a loud car engine revving outside caused you all to turn towards the windows and furrow your eyebrows.
Curiosity got the better of you and you opened the door to stand up outside and see where the commotion was coming from. Steve and Nancy followed your actions, and the three of you leaned against your respective car doors with narrowed eyes as you watched a new car peel into the parking lot.
Your eyes furrowed further as you saw that this car was a blue Camaro - a very familiar blue Camaro. For your own reasons, you silently hoped it wasn't who you thought it was.
Unfortunately, your suspicions were confirmed when you saw a tall boy step out, with long, sandy hair that was almost an overgrown mullet, and the strange yet alluring combination of denim on denim. Seeing him in the sunlight now, you took your thoughts from that night a week ago back: Billy Hargorve made denim on denim a good look. Your eyebrows raised a considerable amount.
From the passenger's side of Billy's Camaro emerged a smaller person, who was a girl with fiery red hair and freckles. She clasped a skateboard in one hand and held her backpack strap with the other. She was considerably younger, perhaps middle school age, and you assumed she was Billy's sister.
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" was playing from the Camaro again, and whether or not it was a coincidence, it gave you a strange sense of deja vu.
The red headed girl threw her skateboard down and stepped on it, immediately skating away in the direction of the middle school, which was a few buildings over. You watched intensely - unintentionally - as Billy's head turned to follow the red head's leaving form, before he took a glance around the parking lot.
You thought you might as well have had a stroke when you noticed Billy's eyes linger on you longer than they did anything else. Though you didn't do anything to convey your thoughts, they were practically screaming at you inside your head. And you could have sworn you saw Billy's lips curve into the slightest smirk before he put his cigarette back to his mouth and slammed his car door shut, and walked away.
You couldn't help but stare at him as he strutted off - mostly because his pants were tight and his ass was nice.
You couldn't help but stare at him as he strutted off - mostly because his pants were tight and his ass was nice.
You were so caught up in watching the new kid that you barely noticed two people approach Steve's car.
"You guys have any clue who that is?" Said the voice of Tommy H - Steve's former best friend since sixth grade. You turned to see that he and his girlfriend Carol had come up beside Steve, and were also watching Billy disappear behind a row of cars. As usual, Steve looked irritated at their presence.
"I don't know, but he's fine as hell." Carol murmured.
"Normally, I'd disagree, but yeah, you're not wrong." Said Tommy. "Better ass than me."
You cleared your throat slightly, drawing the attention to you. "Um...I might know him." You said.
Steve raised an eyebrow. "How? I've never seen him in my life."
" 'Member when I told you some creeps were getting at me the other night?" You asked, and Steve nodded. You nodded your chin towards where Billy had disappeared. "Yeah, he showed up and got them off my backs. He's the one that drove me home that night."
"Do you know his name?" Nancy asked, looking at you.
You paused for a moment before you answered, deciding that in a small town like this, everyone would know the new kid in town by the end of the day.
"Billy." You told Nancy. "He's Billy Hargrove."

The rest of the day, you tried to rid your mind of thoughts about Billy Hargorve. But it was difficult. He was new, and alluring. Though you were sure that every girl in Hawkins High School had realized that already. They'd be lining up at his door just for sex. You would have sex with him if meant you got a ride in that sweet Camaro again.
You stared at said Camaro from the back of your brother's car. In fact, you rather glared at it. Your job as a tutor was going to start soon, so you sat moping in Steve's car miserably. Normally, you would have been reading a book to pass the time, but you were too busy thinking about the other night.
You sort of wished it hadn't happened. Finally, you glanced down at your watch, seeing that it was almost time to leave. You sighed to yourself, and started collecting the textbooks and notes you'd need for tutoring and shoved them into your bag.
When you stepped out of the car, you winced slightly and narrowed your eyes to shield them from the harsh afternoon sunlight. After being in the dark car for so long, the sun was almost blinding to you.
"Hey, girlie, watch it!"
Due to not being able to see much of anything, and the fact that you literally had you back turned, you didn't notice that there was two boys with a basketball running through the parking lot towards her. Before you could even attempt to move out of the way, one of the boys shot past you, and his shoulder slammed into your, causing you to gasp and stumble forward and drop your bag, its contents spilling out and onto the asphalt.
You looked up just in time to see the two boys scoffing and laughing and they dribbled their basketball and disappeared toward the school. You scowled and sighed.
Annoyed, you knelt down to your knees, and started collecting the papers and pens that had fallen out of your bag. As you grumbled under your breath about idiotic boys, you didn't notice that someone had approached you until a pair of shoes stood in front of your line of vision and you paused your movements.
"You have a knack for getting into trouble, don't you, girlfriend?"
You craned your head back to look up, eyebrows raising when you saw that Billy Hargrove was the one standing in front of you.
You cleared your throat and hesitantly looked back down at the papers she was holding. "And apparently, you have a knack for running into me when I do."
Billy dropped down so he was level with you, and you glanced up, seeing him grin. "Apparently I do."
You smiled and reached for a pen that had rolled across the floor, only to have Billy beat you to it and pick it up. You stared at him, and watched awkwardly as he started picking up the remaining pens. Then you gave him a wary smile as he held them out and you took them.
You found an excuse to turn away as you put away the rest of your pens. "What are you doing out of class, Billy?" You questioned.
"I have a free block third period." Billy told you, at which you made a face which said "you're smart enough to have a free block?"
Billy stood up and then held out his hand you, which you took hesitantly, and he pulled you to your feet. "What about you? What are you doing in school?" Billy asked you. "Thought you said you were too old for me?"
You grinned slightly and you pulled your bag further up your shoulder. "That's because I am. I graduated last year."
"That only makes us a year apart, girlfriend." Billy said with a smirk.
You'd be lying if you said you didn't feel your cheeks heat up. "You're quite the flirt, aren't you?" You started walking towards the school.
Billy followed, walking beside you. "Its my best attribute, girlfriend."
You gave him a look. "You're really putting emphasis on this, aren't you?" You said.
Billy shrugged slightly. "My offer still stands."
You tried to hide your smile. It was strange, you thought, how Billy Hargrove was taking an interest in you of all people, when he had a whole town full of girls already frothing at the mouth over him.
It was just that Harrington charm, you guessed.
"I'm tempted to accepct that offer." You told Billy. "But I barely know you."
"Then you'll get to know me," Billy said. ",when we go on a date."
You turned your head to look at him, eyebrows raised. "A date?" You questioned.
"Yeah." Billy said casually. "That diner with the cherry pie, downtown. I've heard its good."
"It is, but-"
"So, eight o'clock, this afternoon?"
You sighed and stopped walking. Billy paused too, and you both looked at each other. "My brother's in your grade." You started. "He's not gonna like this."
Billy smirked and leaned forward slightly. "Then screw your brother, Harrington."
You stared at Billy, leaning back to avoid close proximity with him. But you couldn't stop staring at his eyes, his beautiful, crystal blue eyes.
God, he was gorgeous.
So, you sighed again, and nodded. "Okay. It's a date."
Billy smiled in success. "Eight o'clock?"
You nodded. "Eight o'clock."
"Deal." Billy back up, and started walking back towards the school building, but still facing you. "See you tonight, girlfriend."
Then he turned around, and you were left to watch him disappear behind a row of parker cars.
You smiled to yourself, and felt a blush creep up on your face - just a bit to late. You rolled your eyes, still grinning giddily, and shook your head. "Boyfriend."
