Izuku gets his love of vinyl albums from Sero and his girl bestie, especially after they offer to get him high and listen to an album uninterrupted one afternoon.

He doesn't smoke or do many edibles anymore unless his pro hero work is causing him a lot of stress but he does stop to listen to albums in their entirety, as the art piece they're meant to be, and has little notebooks about them. Jotting down his thoughts on structure, lyrics, tone and how each piece makes him feel and why. He then displays the albums up on his wall like paintings and has a little shelf under his record player with his array of notebooks sorted by genre.

It isn't unusual for Izuku to put an album on low when you come over since most of your in home dates are talking or cooking together, very domesticated things because you know Izuku has a lot going on and he wants to give you his full attention.

But when he puts on the album Back to Eden you don't expect to see his eyes to darken so quickly.

And you surely don't expect to have your ankles by his freckled cheeks as he presses wet kisses to your soft skin where you sprayed perfume or for his broad shoulders to come down with your legs still on them and fold you into yourself while he gives slow deep thrusts that make your eyes stay rolled into your pretty head.

You especially didn't think he'd slow fuck you to the entire hour and three minutes of the album.

Ok so I'm kinda spamming you rn (sorry I'm just insufferable af)

Anyway I have this really bad habit of picking at the skin of my fingers esp when I'm nervous like I do it so much and so unconsciously that I don't even notice till it hurts/starts to bleed.. anyways I was doing it while scrolling tumblr and I just thought what if Hotch noticed (cause ofc he would) and was like -.- noh. stop -.- and you tried of course but its pretty much ingrained in your dna at this point so then everytime he saw you start doing it, he would just... grab your hands? And hold them? 🥺 I'd be embarrassed and a lil annoyed but also I think I'd just melt to the floor? 🥺

You had been sitting cross legged on the couch, with your laptop on your lap and your boyfriend right next to you for a few hours now. You hadn’t talked for a bit, so without noticing you had started to pick at the skin of your fingers. Big deal…

He was right. “Whatever. I’ll stop it.”

Aaron didn’t say anything and simply switched the channel of the TV.

A few minutes passed and you wouldn’t have realized you were doing it again if it wasn’t for him.

“Y/N,” he warned you.

You pouted but at yourself this time. Why was it so hard for you to stop?

“It’ll bleed,” he added. His tone was soft and it made you completely melt. He was just being his caring, sweet self.

“I’m trying,” you simply said.

It wasn’t more than ten minutes later when Aaron suddenly grabbed your hands and took them in his without a warning. It never failed to surprise you how your hands always seemed to disappear when he was holding them in his huge ones.

“I have to take serious measures here,” he joked.

You bit the inside of your cheek, trying to hide your smile.

His hands were warm and it always felt good when he was holding you; so you decided to snuggle up to him, by resting your head on his shoulder and letting him hold your hands as his thumbs softly rubbed your skin so it wouldn’t hurt anymore.

ok something so sad about this is that bruce’s nightmare is about his worst fear and it’s something that did actually happen ☹️ (like she didn’t die but ykwim, the rest happened) and the fact that they both have nightmares about one another dying is tbh *chef’s kiss* (even though it isn’t like a fun cute thing it just shows how obsessed they are with one another ugh i love them)

bruce just throwing himself into Batman Business™️ as a distraction and method of avoidance is so in character. and this chapter is also very good at setting up for ur sequel hehe 👀

“And she loved him. The words were the worst part of his dreams, because every time he had the joy of hearing them, his blade punched into her and her blood poured out and her love died with her.” i absolutely love this line– something about it just scratches an itch in my brain.

i love alfred coming in with both the tough love (“you’re acting like she stabbed you.”) and the affirmations (“you know that I love you like a son.” and “you deserve love, Bruce. You deserve someone like her. You are good enough for her.”) 🥺

SOMETHING I LOVE ABOUT THIS CHAPTER is that her dream was about what could’ve happened after the gala (if it had just been a date and not them saving gotham), and BRUCE bought condoms in case something happened after the gala AKSJSJSKSK i just love that they had like the same thoughts regarding the event

also, her anger about waking up horny being what made her go down to find bruce in the cave is lowkey so funny to me. the fact that bruce hadn’t bothered to clean up the stuff in the cave after freaking out when he thought she’d killed her omg!! i want her to ask him about it later lmao
