Do you have any advice on growing an art following on tumblr?

I think my first advice would be to start with something that attracts people easily. Medias for example. So draw fanarts of medias you enjoy. It's easier for someone to enjoy art if they actually know the context, so fanarts can be a way to start gaining followers easily.

My second advice would be to make a blog exclusively about your art and only your art. That way, people know what they are following and you're less likely to lose followers because you keep posting about different things (things they might not be interested in).

Allow people to give you ideas, but be true to yourself when it comes to draw and own it. There are millions of fanarts. Be thoughtful and inspired to make your owns.

finally!! someone said shiloh is an interesting character and even complex if you had analyze many of GB patch's long answered posts about him that doesn't include the 'Up for interpretation'.. (I've been in the shadows trying to hide that thought pls💀)

I have also spent an embarrassingly long amount of time combing through gb patch’s asks, going through every single mention of him I could find for scraps of characterisation lol but I can’t help it! He’s so interesting!

Like… I think half the reason why I like him so much is that I played Our life before XOXO droplets, so when he reappears in step 3 and the sunset bird gang finds out that he’s a little sicko it came as a complete surprise for me, because I really wasn’t expecting something like that.

He was so different from the other characters, it really intrigued me to see how a character that grew up alongside Liz and Cove could end up being so different, and how this incredibly wholesome, fluffy game basically makes it clear that Shiloh is a shitty, manipulative person and that sometimes people like that just don’t want to change. It doesn’t really end the whole Shiloh arc with a neat little bow by making him magically change his ways after an afternoon and they don’t frame Liz as being wrong or bad for still feeling affection for a dear childhood friend that turned out to be a snake, even after she found out about his true nature.

These kinds of dynamics just deeply interest me. I think that any relationship in Shiloh’s life ends up being at least a bit intriguing due to his manipulative tendencies, and it’s fun to speculate on his thoughts and the motivations behind every single person he chooses to associate with.

I… I have a lot of thoughts about him. I can spend days talking about him and JB’s relationship.

He’s genuinely one of my favourite characters ever I love that little snake and he’s incredibly underrated 😭

Hi hi! Wanted to put in a request~

Going swimming in the nearby lake/pond with the ghouls and other members of the clergy and Rain can't keep his eyes off of you. You just look so pretty in the water with it dripping off of you ---> the other ghouls Def notice and mess with him.

Okay but this is such a good idea anon! I apologize for this not being super long nor detailed but I hope you enjoy!

I could see this going one of two ways…

The first way being the moment Rain sees you standing there with the water dripping down he just cannot stop looking at you.

Clearly the other ghouls notice his staring and the first to mention anything is Swiss.

Obviously Swiss is gonna tease Rain about staring.

Probably something along the lines of “You’re staring at them Rain, take a picture it’ll last longer.”

You know little jabs like that, then that’s when the other ghouls step in to tease as well.

Rain just lets them do their thing, he couldn’t care less if they were teasing him. He was just enjoying getting to look at you while you happen to look so gorgeous!

Now the second way I see that scenario going is very similar to the first…except Rain gets all blushy when the teasing starts.

Perhaps it was because he had been caught staring or maybe it was another reason.

But as soon as the others start teasing him, his cheeks immediately heat up.

Which that in turn causes even more teasing to happen.

Probably someone saying “Aw Rainy is blushing how adorable.”

However despite the teasing from the others Rain still enjoys the beautiful view in front of him!

2. this one only really appeared in TAS unfortunately :( it's called a Sehlat and is basically a bear/lion/sabertooth tiger! Spock had one when he was a kid

3. going back on what I said earlier. these are actually the most well-known: tribbles! they appear throught almost all of the series! they're basically just furry little guys :)

4. Murf from Prodigy?

unfortunately we're not presented with a whole lot of "cute" aliens. but there are lots of dogs and cats throughout the franchise! a few examples:

hits close to home for me too! I’m not very ticklish, I have to be very flustered to even laugh when someone tickles me!

I don’t laugh from being tickled most of the time, it’s more from the playfulness and how much fun I’m having, I have fun either way! I just like being close to the person, tickles are a plus though <3

but yeah sometimes I feel really awkward and insecure because I’m not ticklish in a lot of places and rough tickles don’t work on me- makes me feel kind of isolated from the community sometimes cause I don’t like tickles on certain spots and stuff

What book are you currently reading? How are you liking it? What book are you going to read next?

I’m currently reading ten (10!!!) books at once! Most recently picked up is The Third Daughter by Adrienne Tooley. I’m about a quarter of the way through, and it’s pretty good - I’d give it a solid 7/10. I like the worldbuilding and the plot so far. Started reading it based off a three-word review I saw an internet stranger give it - ‘magical furious lesbians’ and it really lives up to it ❤️

The other nine books I’m reading are:

Crimson Rivers by bizarrestars (a Hunger Games Jegulus AU fic but it’s so long I’m counting it as a book)

The Magician’s Nephew by C. S. Lewis (not really liking it tbh, the writing style just isn't engaging)

Herland by Charlotte Perkins Gilman (I’m only at the start but I have to say, an all-female utopia is a pretty good story as far as I’m concerned)

The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman (not as good as people build it up to be but still pretty decent)

The Paris Bookseller by Kerri Maher (Parisian lesbians with bookshops and a lot of wine? Yes please)

The Witches of Vardø by Anya Bergman (it seems good? I'm only at the start, but I'm loving the worldbuilding)

The Clockill and the Thief by Gareth Ward (a YA novel I picked up a few years ago and loved. It's the second book in a steampunk duology set in Victorian England (AU) and I'm rereading it to heal my inner child)

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (needs no introduction - swoon)

Hi! I saw you have a few different online shops (inprint, redbubble, teespring) and was wondering how your experience has been with them and if you have a favorite site to sell on?

Inprnt: Pretty good! Good quality of prints, you get a good benefit of and not just like a very small amount, never heard anyone complain about their prints!

Redbubble: Used to be good, now you can't sell fanart stuff, the benefit is really small even if you manage to seel shirts and now there are fees for selling your own merch? Really wouldn't recommand now.

Teespring: Quality for shirt is OK! Not the best, but nice enough. You get reasonable benefit from it and you can have fun with designs :)

All of them are easy to use for creating accounts/selling your designs

when i finished djats for the first time i cried because it was SO good. have you read the book??!!

i didn't cry but I was also hungover + in that like in-between manic/depressive state but got it's such a bittersweet ending + I need want more. but, let's say they do a season 2, I don't see it going beyond that. it'd be cool to see more of the writing process between the band like daisy + Billy becoming friends n stuff. that was sick and I feel like it didn't last long enough :(( but I'm a big sucker for that type of stuff. It felt more sad than happy but like, that was the whole point of the show and so I can't even be mad lmao

genuinely if the cast ever goes on tour I'm gonna try my hardest to go and see them. I feel like it would be such a life changing experience

I haven't read the book but I'm really planning on it. when I get paid I think I'm gonna buy it because my little podunk town library doesn't have it :((

heya!! im someone whos only watched the 98 version of the anime and knows its pretty different from the manga, but idk how much. what would u say the main differences between the manga, 98, and stampede are? im just trying to debate how crucial it is to read the manga lol

hi!! I'm not sure I'm the best person to ask this, because I haven't seen all of the '98 version! but the manga is definitely worth a read, since the '98 version only had notes from the author to work with once they were done adaptating the first two volumes? (basically trigun maximum wasn't out when the anime ended, I think?) I did watch a few episodes though, and the differences between manga and '98 I noticed were:

vash isn't lowkey girl-crazy in the manga at all

some subplots don't exist in the manga (like the one with rich guy 'owning' all the water and hiring vash as a bodyguard)

important elements are revealed much sooner in the manga than in the anime (wolfwood working for knives, vash's age and his connection to the plants, etc)

vash didn't kill anyone in july in the anime, but he killed the whole city in the manga

meryl doesn't spend weeks refusing to believe vash is the humanoid typhoon because she finds him too dumb lol

and differences I heard about but haven't seen for myself yet:

there's no lowkey romance (?) between wolfwood and millie nor vash and meryl

the way/place [redacted] dies is different

knives is just a bad guy in the anime, he's much more developped in the manga

the anime doesn't have characters like livio (important to wolfwood's storyline) or elendira the crimsontail, a trans woman who's the strongest of the gung-ho guns in the manga

likely many other things that develop the story and the characters better since, again, they only had notes to work with

for stampede, So Much is different from the manga too. the core is there, but the characters don't meet the same way (millie will likely show up in season 2 after a time skip), the villains don't show up for the same reasons / in the same circumstances / in the same order (like livio appears in next week's episode even though he appears fairly late in the manga) and basically the story is happening before the july disaster, which definitely shakes things up quite a bit in regards to pacing, relationship development between the characters, etc.

so I wouldn't say it's crucial to read the manga, but also i really can't not recommend it!! it feels different enough from both the '98 version and stampede to be worth a read.

Mountain gets very relaxed with cuddles
